“Good afternoon,” I said cheerfully, with an especially saccharine smile for the High Lord. He blinked at me, and both of the faerie men murmured their greetings as I took a seat across from Lucien, not my usual place facing Tamlin. I drank deeply from my goblet of water before piling food on my plate. I savored the tense silence as I consumed the meal before me. “You look … refreshed,” Lucien observed with a glance at Tamlin. I shrugged. “Sleep well?” “Like a babe.” I smiled at him and took another bite of food, and felt Lucien’s eyes travel inexorably to my neck. “What is that bruise?” Lucien demanded. I pointed with my fork to Tamlin. “Ask him. He did it.” Lucien looked from Tamlin to me and then back again. “Why does Feyre have a bruise on her neck from you?” he asked with no small amount of amusement. “I bit her,” Tamlin said, not pausing as he cut his steak. “We ran into each other in the hall after the Rite.” I straightened in my chair. “She seems to have a death wish,” he went on, cutting his meat. The claws stayed retracted but pushed against the skin above his knuckles. My throat closed up. Oh, he was mad—furious at my foolishness for leaving my room—but somehow managed to keep his anger on a tight, tight leash. “So, if Feyre can’t be bothered to listen to orders, then I can’t be held accountable for the consequences.” “Accountable?” I sputtered, placing my hands flat on the table. “You cornered me in the hall like a wolf with a rabbit!” Lucien propped an arm on the table and covered his mouth with his hand, his russet eye bright. “While I might not have been myself, Lucien and I both told you to stay in your room,” Tamlin said, so calmly that I wanted to rip out my hair. I couldn’t help it. Didn’t even try to fight the red-hot temper that razed my senses. “Faerie pig!” I yelled, and Lucien howled, almost tipping back in his chair. At the sight of Tamlin’s growing smile, I left. It took me a couple of hours to stop painting little portraits of Tamlin and Lucien with pigs’ features. But as I finished the last one—Two faerie pigs wallowing in their own filth, I would call it —I smiled into the clear, bright light of my private painting room. The Tamlin I knew had returned. And it made me … happy.

Powers I like to believe Tamlin has

1) able to communicate with animals and draw strength from them

2) Able to see through wards, certain spells , maybe able to see bonds between people or their emotions with the help of that golden circle in his eyes

3) able to control plants and flowers bend them to his will. Can grow or rot them

okay no, I thought Az and Elain were like the cutest mf's ever but now I'm kind like Lucien and Elain?? Actually really work??? And SJM should give us more than breadcrumbs??? And also that frees up room for Azris - and I'm not a fan of putting two random guys together, but Azris actually works. Like spymaster and the Heir to an enemy court with more secrets than we could possibly count, not to mention the pure angst if Az had to pick between the Night Court and Eris- SJM needs to drop an Azriel book ASAP because that man has SO MUCH GOING ON and we don't get to see half of it because nobody ever pays enough attention to him.

How I am knowing gwynriel/elucien have actual canon evidence, the other side hates us but can't stop talking about us, hate Gwyn but not a single day passes when they don't make posts/theories/include her in their fanfics on her. Base their entire ship on crack theories and hypothetical stuff but whine about gwynriel being a "crack ship".

ik this topic has been beat to literal death but btw nesta is, at most, three years older than feyre. elain herself is like one or two years older. the way discussions surrounding who is accountable for what happened pre-acotar with the sisters, you’d think nesta and elain were at least five or six years older than her, but they were all really young.

nesta and elain didn’t let feyre do anything when they were all actual teenagers. and even if that weren’t true, it’s not either of their responsibility to control what feyre does. the only valid critique about their behavior pre-acotar was that they were ungrateful and used all the money feyre got for them. even then, it’s not a great critique because those two weren’t characters before the last act in acotar.

the only person that can be blamed for feyre hunting is their father. he is the father. he should’ve been taking care of them. and we can go into a whole debate on whether we should be blaming him anyway because of both his disability and the state of his mental health at the time, but none of that is relevant for this conversation because nesta and elain aren’t at fault.

it’s so weird that the fandom holds them accountable for this (mostly holding nesta accountable but yk) when they have no responsibility over what feyre did or didn’t do. would it have been nice if they were more appreciative and less insufferable during those scenes??? yeah. but also- nothing they did was like criminal behavior lmao. they were just annoying, and nesta is like eviscerated by half the fandom for it.
