Snail-friend should be fine if Anon give them good amount of calcium to build strong shell, and keep home misted so they no get dehydrated! Gonta still want anon to keep close eye on snail-friend though, just in case it start acting weird.

Gonta also sometimes talk to forest family about what he’s worried about, and forest family make Gonta feel better about it. Maybe your family can help with stress too! Today I bought some sphagnum moss and redid my snails punch-bowl! In a couple days/weeks it should be very grassy since the top layer is full of seeds.

I'm now also finally looking for some friends for this lone baby since it's starting to be actually snails sized!

Its was found about a year ago as a hatchling in a blueberry packet that we bought in tesco and was the size of a large sesame seed. It's now a bit over 1cm long and I think it might be a Achatina Fulica but I can't be sure until it's an adult.

Snail update!!!

Today is the day, my friends! Cervantes has arrived and I am now the proud owner of Achatina Fulica Jadatzi.

He's doing well, a little shy at first but very fond of my sister already. Considering she isn't a big fan of bugs, he seems to have won her heart in record time.

Hopefully, I'll have pictures of him soon, to upload to the world. I couldn't be happier right now.

hey where did you get your snail friend? species? ive always wanted to keep big land snails, but i live in canada, where they arent generally popular or available

I got my snails from a biology-student like myself in Leiden, the Netherlands. Here, the pets are also not that popular, but at least not illegal. In the USA, the snails are illegal to keep due to the risk of them breaking out and destroying the local ecosystem; here the snails would not survive the cold winter. I have no idea how the rules are used in Canada, so try to find out more about that first!

Mine are (Liss)Achatina fulica, a more or less smaller version of the big Giant African Land Snails (GALS); Achatina achatina and Archachatina marginata (”Ovum”) are the biggest I think. The snails can be bought on reptile expo’s, and on the internet of course.

Are you named after anyone?  Nope. I am “the late arrival” of my family and my mum and dad asked my elder sister (20 years gap between us) and brother (14 years gap) their opinion on the name cause my mum wanted to name me Angelica just to pair with my sister Anna. When was the last time you cried?  Not during the Endgame(May 1st). But few days before that when I was fully overwhelmed with damn awareness that my uni friend/quiz team mate commited suicide (plus I was a bit drunk cause of cider)

Do you have any kids?  Nope. I am only nineteen. I didn’t have any romantic relationships yet. And I am still not sure about kids.

Cause I had way too many toxic friendships during eleven school years and seven years in the summer camp I used to go. And most of these people seemed to be nice but appeared to be arrogant cunts. And I ended up at the same department with one of the school cunts who made my final year a disaster (our friend stupidly wanted to match us and failed cause none of us wanted this. and that guy showed his real face trying to cause my nervous breakdown every single day...). Luckily we ignor each other (although he tried to say “sorry” through that “matcher” girl (who ives and studies in Saint Petersburg now) recently in social network but it was awful).
