Ichiji can get on Ace's nerves very easily, so it's only natural that he ends up literally on fire because of this. The fire doesn't hurt Ichiji and he decides to make him more nervous to see how much Ace can burn. Or maybe Ichiji just wants to start a fire, no one knows.

Guys.

What if Ichigo was asexual? Just. Think about it.

We always see Ichigo being shipped with almost every character from Bleach, whether it be het, slash, etc. I'll admit, I do it too. Everyone does. We all have our respective Ichiships. But what if that's just not Ichigo? He's always depicted as being the blushing, oblivious, naive teenager. The most common assumption is that this equals attraction - but it doesn't have to be. Ace people can flirty with everyone, and they can be the exact opposite. It would seem to explain why Ichigo doesn't show a romantic attraction with many of the characters Ichi gets shipped with - it's much closer to a platonic love (which I believe can be much stronger). I, honestly, think it would be perfect. We can still have the same Ichigo - the cute blushing, oblivious, adorable little shit asexual Ichigo. 

I don't know why I find this so perfect but just. Ugh. 

It'd put an end to the gigantic shipping war, too. Perfect opportunity for trolling Kubo.

By some miracle, Ichiji finds himself having a bunch of missions away from Germa, each right after the other, and in one occasion, he ends up having a really really nice one night stand with a certain raven-haired freckled pirate.

Later, he finds out he got pregnant from said one night stand.

It's too late to do something about it, fortunately, the first one (after him) to find out is Reiju who pushes him to run away from Germa and look for the father of his, turns to be, daughter. Fortunately, again, said daughter looks just like the sire.

When Ichiji meets the spade pirates, not only does his daughter still not have a name (he's been referring to her as 1.5 tho), but also Ace and Deuce got together.

Ace, ofc, won't abandon his newfound daughter (obv he's naming her Rouge), and, ofc, has Ichiji stay with them (as if Ichiji had someone else to go now).

Deuce is, understandably, rather put off by the situation (but his knowledge of Ace's parents-related traumas make him bite his tongue), but he decides to try not to be too difficult and also help with little Rouge, which ends up bringing him closer to Ichiji too, specially with Ichiji learning to be more human too. (Ofc the rest of the spade pirates also help with the baby, their little treasure, the local princess).

It's when everything finally seems peaceful that Germa catches up, Niji and Yonji have finally found their missing older brother, and are apparently really excited about being uncles? (Yonji gets excited immediately, Niji takes a little to warm up but he ends up being the one who spoils little Rouge the most, even if they need to learn how to treat such a small being).

~~Marineford comes and the world discovers that not only does Roger have a son, he apparently also has a granddaughter (because ofc they take their little girl there, who are they supposed to leave her with?)

Ace meets up with Luffy in Alabasta and ofc, needs to show off the picture he has of his daughter (they briefly managed to get their hands on a camera and took as many photos as possible, every crew member carries one at all times). Luffy is very very excited, but Sanji is sweating bullets seeing the girl's curled eyebrows (she got Ichiji's brows) and blue eyes (tho their shape is very obviously Ace's), he can see the Vinsmoke in her and he's not sure how he feels about that.

~~Should the Vinsmoke siblings show up at Marineford? That's their brother in law after all.

When I started shipping it- I was writing a fic where Ichiji ends up with Whitebeard and is there to save Ace and Luffy at Marineford, I wrote a grand total of 1 interaction and my brain went "It's free real state" and they've been growing in my brain like black mold ever since

What makes me happy about them- everything uwu (they're both doomed siblings, two sides of the same sibling-shaped coin, hot fire vs cold fire, "believes themselves unlovable" x "isn't supposed to have feelings/emotions but falls in love anyway", and there's more, they have a lot going on ur honour)

What makes me sad about them- ... canon ...

Things done in fanfic that annoys me- Top Ichiji/Bottom Ace (doesn't really annoy me but I won't read it + there's only, like, 1 fic/1shot with that too so)

Things I look for in fanfic- the fic T.T

Just a little Acechiji scenario I came up with my sister while questioning the possibility and legitimacy of a pirate captain officiating the wedding of another pirate captain since said pirate captain is getting married and so cannot officiate their own wedding.

Either Ichiji is part of Ace's crew or they met thanks to white beard (as Ichiji would be a white beard pirate) doesn't matter, point is, they've been dating for a while now (probably before Ace met Luffy in Alabasta).

Ichiji obv goes to save Ace at Marineford with the others, they rescue Ace, but the fight is still going on, and though they have Ace there's still a very bad feeling in people's hearts.

Ace is very weak, practically being dragged by Ichiji, Impel Down nor the marines were kind to him, he's tired and hungry and injured, still, he somehow manages to get his voice across the field so White Beard will hear him.

"POPS, MARRY US"

It's so out of place the war almost paused, Ichiji gapes at him. "WHAT are you on about at a moment like THIS?"

"Because we don't know if we're actually make it out of this one and I want us to be married even if just for a couple of minutes!"

How could Ichiji say no after that?

White Beard almost laughs, he would never deny such a request.

So White Beard says the words.

"I DO" says Ace first, staring intently into Ichiji's eyes. Luffy and others protecting them from the marines surrounding them.

Then comes Ichiji, his face is slightly pink and he can hear a hint of nervousness in his voice "I DO"

Their kiss is intense.

"NOW HURRY UP" interrupts Marco.

So they continue escaping.

Buggy is recording-live-streaming all of this.

Acechiji is fun because Ace meets Sanji in Alabasta and is all like "oh hes hot and has this attractive fiery attitude but i wont go after it bc something does not quite fit" only to meet Ichiji years later (same handsome face, beautiful long legs) but this time, this time it is just right. He is the one he has been looking for.

I'm going to start with the Katacora side because it is less angsty and cuz those are the drawings I shared lmao

Right so, it's a vaguely historical au with no powers (they still have the colourful hair)

Mingo, who deals mostly with drugs, is interested in dipping his toes in the brotherly business, which is Big Mom's, so he strikes a deal and Rosinante is set off to marry Katakuri, Rosi only accepts because he strikes a deal with Mingo, who lets him take Law as his personal servant (he's not letting Mingo take Law to make him a courtesan, although Law still does some jobs here and there for Mingo -to keep Rosi protected-).

Things between Rosi and Katakuri are tense at first (also selectively mute Rosi my beloved), but they start warming up toward each other, partially because they don't want this to be a miserable ordeal but also because they're both quite kind towards the other (although Law doesn't like Katakuri at all).

On the side, Law (and later Rosi) befriends (against his will?) three young servants (Bepo, Shachi & Penguin) and the old servant who (unwillingly?) cares for them (it's old man Wolf).

Years pass by, they grow closer and happier, until Law is longer than normal in a job and Mingo arrives to give Rosi the ultimatum, kill Katakuri or he'll never see Law (his son) again.

He doesn't know about his son being freed by one straw hat-wearing hobo.

Meanwhile, the vinsibs are having the worst time ever.

Dark and Triggering themes related to sexual violence, so read at your own discretion.

Judge tries to commit treason and overthrow Emperor Kaido but gets caught and killed, the vinsibs are 15, they get incarcerated while their fate is decided.

It's decided that they will pay for their father's crime by working in brothels. They start working when they're 16, the poor babies. They all get sent to different brothels.

Ichiji strikes a deal with Big Mom, which is basically just the permission to be able to pay off his siblings' contracts.

He has no contact with his siblings, but he has the hope of seeing them again once he buys all their contracts and frees them.

He has no idea that they have all been freed by the time "the/his story" starts.

Reiju is bough off by a foreign princess (Hancock), Sanji by Zeff and the strawhats, Niji managed to escape and they let him go since he was too problematic (one of his many fits is biting off the cock of an important sponsor) and Yonji is freed by the revolutionaries.

And Ichiji keeps working his ass off.

He's 21 when he meets Ace, a sword-for-hire, who helps him on more than one occasion.

They start growing closer, with Ace both paying to visit him (no funny business) and sneaking in to see him, bearing gifts (like healing balms and stuff) and a kindness that slowly burns down Ichiji's walls.

After Ichiji learns that his siblings are free and that he had been basically working for nothing, Ace goes missing.

Later, Ichiji learns that Ace had been captured after he made an attempt on BM's life and was set to be publicly executed. He tries to run away and go rescue Ace but is recaptured and punished severely, beaten down and locked away, he's still healing when he hears the news of Ace's death (and the war trying to save him).

He's still forced to work (with the "aid" of drugs and restraints and aphrodisiacs).

But.

Ace is not dead, he almost died but didn't, and with the help of his family, friends and the revs, he rescues Ichiji.

So it's a happy ending.

Historically inaccurate Katacora and their son

From a very angsty au

Ace wasn't sure what he had expected to find when Sabo told him that Ichiji would be back in town (due to his illness again). When they were kids, the Vinsmoke siblings had arrived and became Zeff's little helpers in his popular diner, Baratie, that way, the old man was able to keep a close eye on them, but they were children after all, and so couldn't stay working there all day, although Sanji seemed to enjoy doing that, so first they became rivals and later friends. Ichiji (and his brothers) had been skinny and short, at least shorter than him who was a year older, but had been almost as explosive and quick to anger as himself. He had pictured him growing taller (never more than himself) and skinny and pale like one of those dainty ladies from those historical novels that Sabi enjoyed so much. He hadn't expected a tall (taller than himself although not by much) and well built man with hair dyed ruby red (later he would find the red tattoo on Ichiji's right arm, he would almost pass out because WOW), he was pale, as he always had been, so he didn't have a sickly look to him.

Ace hadn't been prepared at all.

(Ace please do sth before your boy gets insolation, I know he looks damn sexy but please ಠ⁠,⁠_⁠｣⁠ಠ)

Ace is the one who starts flirting the second time they meet, pretty low-key at first, however, Ichiji is certainly not the best at reading people so almost all of that goes over his head. Ace is slowly going crazy since Ichiji reacts positively but doesn't exactly respond.

Also, Ace starts getting handy since he's the one teaching Ichiji the ropes and Ichiji is only allowed to do heavy work under his (or Law or Deuce's) supervision.

Sabo thinks Ace is rather embarrassing but still helps. Yonji thinks Ace is embarrassing and should just stop.

Reiju and Sanji support Ace, Yonji and Zeff are more neutral and Niji is against him (he questions if Ace is good enough for his big brother -Zoro went through this trial, the only reason Sabo hasn't is because only Sanji knows that he's dating Yonji, and Sanji isn't a snitch-).

Anyway, @loopyarts and I made a little au, we're calling it the Countryside au uwu

And here's the deal:

Ichiji is sickly like his mom. Due to his health problems he gets sent off to the countryside side as a young lad with his siblings, there he meets the rowdy Ace along with Luffy and Sabo.

They, at first, don’t get along but the more Ichiji shows his more adventurous and wild thuggish side the more he and Ace get closer as friends to the best of friends.

Baby Ace worrying as sickly baby Ichiji has a coughing fit and faints with a fever when they're playing in the middle of the woods together causing Ace to carry him back on his back as he struggles to get help/treatment for him, the other kids also help.

The Vinsmokes have to leave once Ichiji's health starts to improve which leads to them saying goodbye and promising to meet each other again as adults, also they gave each other a friendship bracelet to remember each other by.

They continue with their lives, Ace living in the countryside and Ichiji in the city. Judge is still a shifty father, and since Ichiji was the one supposed to inherit his enterprise, he put a lot of pressure on that kid, fortunately, Judge died in an accident when they were still minors and ended up under the care of their uncle Zeff, with whom they had stayed in the countryside, Zeff moves to the city to not uproot the kids. This is also when Ichiji goes and gets his tattoo and dyes his hair red.

He comes back to the countryside years later, now an adult, having fallen back ill, due to many things, his siblings insisted really, his father used to put too much pressure on him (good thing he's dead now) and he kept doing that until his body practically broke down on him to force him to stop working so much.

Yonji is the one who brings up the idea of him returning to the countryside they visited as children (why? Cuz he's dating Sabo -not that anyone else but Sanji knows this- and after talking with him Sabo suggested that).

Ichiji doesn't really like the idea that much, after all he "needs" (he doesn't really, everyone helps, especially Zeff) to take care of everything and work, still they practically send him back against his will, Yonji goes with him to stay some time and make sure he *rests* (also to see Sabo, who doesn't live there anymore but does visit regularly and will receive them there).

Ichiji is still pouting when they arrive but Sabo picks them up and they see Ace and *Oh, oh shit he's HOT*

Yonji notices and is like "o right, didn't you use to have a crush on him?"

And Ichiji is like "NO, I ne-, I never, that was Sanji"

Yonji doesn't believe him tho (tho he suspects Ace might have awoken sth within Sanji too if his taste in men says sth, he's already planning his summer wedding with Zoro).

Ace is excited to see him after all those years, though it saddens him a bit to see that Ichiji doesn't have the bracelet anymore (he still wears his own after all) later it will be revealed that was broken by Judge as punishment u.u or sth like that

And that's all. For now.
