not saying me comparing automata to ac4a took away from it but i do think part of my expections were a mix between vastly misunderstanding the nier raids in 14 and assuming automata was going to go in an ac4a-esque way. [very loud obviously joking voice] maybe if they had a Defend Line Ark/Defeat White Glint type scenario this game wouldve sold a bajillion copies

#a nier/armored core collab would go crazy i think#an alt tl in ac where yoRHa is a fake corp pretending to be in the interests of humanity wrt the closed plan but actually wasnt#and instead was inciting conflict with its android-operated NEXTs to get the humans fighting for the closed plan killed#and you get a split choice between defending yoRHa with 2B or defeating Commander with 9S#teaming up w 9S who knows about the yoRHa secret plan because his scanner model is used in the battlefield to retrieve data#under the guise of protecting the humans in the Cradles when actually it was to stop humanity from leaving the dying Earth altogether#and when he learns this he defects and yoRHa spins the yarn that hes in cahoots to Destroy the Cradles#and if you defend YoRHa youre unknowingly taking the mission for 2B to execute 9S of his memories and return him to yoRHa#something like that. nobody knows what im talking about because who here even played ac4a#Youtube

Been thinking a lot about Star Wars “Resistance” lately. I fell in love with many of the characters, this one in particular. Griff Halloran.
