It was daylight when Atsushi woke to dark hair tickling his nose. He snuffled and managed not to sneeze, glancing down to see Ryuu-chan curled under his arm, against his chest. He shifted just slightly and felt the covers shuffle before he realized that Acchan, too, was in bed with him; somewhere under the covers and wrapped around one of Atsushi’s legs.
Continue on AO3 or
So, he was well and truly stuck for the moment.
“Good morning,” Akutagawa said softly, and Atsushi looked over at him, sitting up in the bed with his back to the headboard and completely unencumbered by sleeping children. Akutagawa had clearly been up a while, although his hair was still bed-tousled; he was actually wearing his reading glasses as he scrolled a tablet.
Atsushi’s heart fluttered with how soft he looked at the moment, but if he said anything about the reading glasses Akutagawa would immediately take them off. “Good morning to you too,” Atsushi responded in the same soft tone. “How did this happen?” He knew they were tucked into their own bed last night because Ryuu-chan couldn’t decide which side he wanted to sleep on.
Speaking of, Ryuu-chan shifted, roused by his voice, and rolled his head, yawning huge. “Ah, there’s one,” Atsushi said.
Ryuu-chan pulled himself into a sitting position and yawned again, blinking sleepily as he looked around the room. After a moment, he zeroed in on Akutagawa and crawled over to him, so Akutagawa raised his arm as Ryuu-chan leaned against him, folded his arms, and dozed off again.
Akutagawa put his arm around Ryuu-chan and sighed, amused, before he looked back to Atsushi, eyebrow raised.
“Don’t look at me like that, I told you that you were right last night already.” A foot smacked into his upper thigh, dangerously close to sensitive areas, and Atsushi got an elbow under himself and lifted the bedspread. “Acchan.”
Acchan had burrowed completely down to the foot of the bed, his head tucked against Atsushi’s ankle. He didn’t move at either Atsushi’s voice or the covers shifting, but the moment Atsushi’s fingers brushed the bare bottoms of his feet he kicked and laughed, tail thrashing.
“That’s two,” Atsushi said, just as Acchan’s flailing foot nailed him directly in the groin.
Akutagawa watched as Atsushi wordlessly curled up, rolled, and fell right out of the bed.
The lump tangled in the remaining covers was clearly Acchan; he wormed his way back out, and sat up on his knees, the covers still over his head and blinking comically. “Dad?”
Akutagawa turned his face away, shoulders shaking violently, and free hand clamped tight over his mouth, refusing to make a single sound.
“Chuuya-oji!” Acchan stood up on his chair and waved excitedly. The chair wobbled dramatically, and a Rashomon tendril snaked under the table and surreptitiously steadied it. Chuuya high-fived Acchan and put both his hands on the back of the chair, stabilizing it.
“Good morning, Chuuya-san,” Akutagawa said, having not moved an inch. “Dazai-san isn’t with you? Acchan, sit down.”
Acchan dropped back into a seated position immediately and began looking around for Dazai. Ryuu-chan kicked his legs off his own chair, trying to be cool like his father but vibrating in excitement.
“He’s,” Chuuya gestured vaguely back the way he came. “We’ll find him eventually. Maybe in a concrete mixer.” Chuuya clicked his tongue. “Kids are here. Anyway. Who’s excited about the amusement park?”
“Jeez,” Atsushi said, returning to the table with a tray of food from the breakfast bar. “I could hear that response from clear across the floor.” Acchan, up on his knees, leaned over the table and snatched a strip of bacon from Atsushi’s plate—but before it could disappear down his gullet, Chuuya swiped it from his fingers and started crunching on it.
Acchan looked at his hand in surprise, and then up at Chuuya. “Chuuya-oji, that was mine!”
“Correction, it was mine,” Atsushi said and turned his plate so the remainder of the bacon was closer to Akutagawa than Acchan. “You were cut off.”
A delicate Rashomon tendril snuck over to the plate and plucked a piece of potato, and Atsushi gave his husband a look. “What was that about ability use in public, again?”
“So speaks the weretiger, who was showing off his tiger stripes to everyone who was looking his way yesterday.”
Ryuu-chan waved his hand at Chuuya, who leaned over his chair. “They’re grouchy,” he said with a serious expression.
Chuuya snickered. “Plans haven’t changed. Text us in the morning and we’ll meet up at the park.”
Akutagawa nodded his head. “And if anything happens, please let us know.”
“Of course.” Chuuya had his hands on the back of either chair, and he leaned between them. “Whoever finds Dazai-oji first gets to say a bad word!”
Ryuu-chan and Acchan looked at each other, and then they both looked up at Chuuya. “Fuck!” they chorused in unison.
Atsushi choked on his omelet.
Chuuya took one look at the red ripples coming off Akutagawa and scooped both children under his arms. “You’ve got your shit, right?” he said, and Ryuu-chan’s Rashomon snagged their backpacks off the ground, under the table. “Later!”
Atsushi was still coughing when Chuuya bolted, a kid under each arm and their backpacks dangling from Rashomon's tendrils. Acchan, hanging loosely, waved. “Bye!”
“They do not learn such language from me,” Akutagawa said harshly, Rashomon still not entirely settled. Atsushi, still coughing, took a long drink of water, considered his options, and decided not to even bother with a counterpoint.
He finished off his plate in record time. “Now what?” he asked since they were childless and free for the day.
Akutagawa said, “I can’t believe you even have to ask.”
=====
Atsushi laughed breathlessly as Akutagawa kissed his neck again. They’d barely made it through the door to the room; he’d kicked it closed behind them with maybe a hair of excessive force, but Akutagawa was going to pop a button off his shirt trying to wrestle it off Atsushi in the entranceway. “Ryuu, Ryuu—” he said, and Akutagawa bit him. “Ow!”
“Oughta mark you up,” Akutagawa growled against his skin. “Show everyone you belong to me…”
He was cut off by Atsushi wrapping his arms around Akutagawa’s chest and easily picking him up off the ground. Instead of protesting this move Akutagawa swung his legs up and wrapped them around Atsushi’s hips, arms over his shoulders, and leaning in to kiss him again.
Atsushi managed not to stumble over the luggage carrying Akutagawa over to their bed; he dropped Akutagawa onto the mattress as gracefully as he could from their position, and crawled atop him, picking up right where they left off kissing.
Akutagawa laughed wildly as Atsushi kissed down his neck, nuzzling against his skin and pulling down the collar of the plain shirt he was wearing to kiss along the bony ridge of his collarbone, before he pushed himself up on one hand, chest heaving.
“Fuck,” Atsushi groaned, realizing that they hadn’t bothered to pack anything appropriate because he didn’t expect five minutes without the kids, never mind an entire day. “We don’t have any—”
Akutagawa shifted underneath him, grunted, and pulled a small bag from the hotel gift shop from his pocket. “Two steps behind as always, weretiger,” he said with a sharp grin, and Atsushi unbunched the crumpled bag and looked at the package of lubrication and condoms with relief.
“God, I love you so much,” he said and leaned down to kiss Akutagawa again.
“If you loved me, you would already be naked,” Akutagawa growled against his mouth, and Atsushi bit his bottom lip, eyes glinting.
“On it.” He wriggled out of his half-open tropical-patterned shirt. “Thank you for not actually destroying my shirt, by the way.”
“Stop talking.”
Atsushi snorted, thumb in the waistband of his shorts; he watched Akutagawa’s attention focus there, as he tugged it down just enough to show the paler skin the sun had yet to see. “Like that?” he asked, and Akutagawa’s eyes dilated almost on cue. He pulled the waistband down further, showing the full cut of his hip and the root of his cock teasingly.
Akutagawa wet his lips, not taking his eyes off the display. “I thought I told you to shut up.”
“Maybe,” Atsushi leaned his weight on one hand, holding himself over Akutagawa, his eyes catching the sunlight streaming in through the open blinds, “you haven’t done enough to shut me up, yet.”
Akutagawa ran his hand up Atsushi’s bare chest, sliding it up over his shoulder, and gripped the back of his neck firmly before pulling him down into another deep, desperate kiss.
=====
“Shit, I hope those are gone by tomorrow,” Atsushi said, neck twisted as he stared at the shredded remains of his shoulder blades in the mirror by the bathroom. Akutagawa didn’t bother to lift his head from the bed, still lying stretched out on his side, the sunlight glittering off the sweat on his skin. “You didn’t have to be so violent.”
“Yes, I did,” Akutagawa drawled lazily, eyes closed as he basked in the sunlight, deeply content. He only moved when he felt the mattress bow down, and that was just to twist his head and give Atsushi a fond, sated look. “See what all those bikini-clad airheads think now,” he sniffed, and Atsushi shook his head and sighed.
“You are so jealous,” he murmured, brushing his hand through Akutagawa’s hair. “Do you really think I’m interested in any of them for even a second?”
“No.” Akutagawa’s eyes had drifted closed again. Atsushi honestly wouldn’t have been that surprised if he started purring. “But I don’t like that they think they even have a chance.”
“Hai, hai,” Atsushi hummed. “So…were you wanting to head out to the beach? Or maybe hit the pool instead, since we don’t have to keep track of the kids and they have an open bar?”
“Or,” Akutagawa said, “we could have round two.”
Atsushi shifted his weight, climbing back onto the bed properly. “Round two it is,” he murmured, kissing the back of Akutagawa’s neck as he slid over him, and Akutagawa stretched all the way out underneath him, eyes still closed and grin all sharp edges.
Round two unsurprisingly turned to round three, and they missed lunch. They also forgot to hang up the ‘do not disturb’ sign, as Atsushi realized, balls deep, and the room’s door opened while someone called, “Housekeeping!”
Rashomon never moved so fast.
“Sorry!” Atsushi called as the tendril dropped the sign on the knob and slammed the door in the housekeeper’s face. He buried his flaming red face against Akutagawa’s back and Akutagawa huffed in annoyance but that, unsurprisingly, brought an end to the sex.
“What are we going to do for dinner?” Atsushi asked as they browsed some of the shops that lined the touristy pavilion connected to the resort. “I didn’t think to bring anything nice for any of the upscale places.”
“I doubt they care very much, here,” Akutagawa said, checking the price on a light-colored, floral print dress. Atsushi lingered by the dress rack as Akutagawa picked it off the hanger. “Do you think Gin will like this?”
“That print looks a little loud for her tastes, maybe the one with the blue.”
Akutagawa nodded and exchanged the dresses, looking critically at the cut of the one with the blue floral print. He looked up when he realized Atsushi was smiling softly and narrowed his eyes. “You are thinking about saying something I may stab you for.”
“Just thinking about how lucky I am.”
“To not be stabbed.”
“Well, that, and the other thing.” Atsushi picked out a stuffed bear wearing a floral print shirt with a similar pattern to the dress that Akutagawa was still holding. “Higuchi-san?”
“I suppose. Will it even fit in our luggage?”
“We’ll make it work.” Atsushi browsed a few other souvenirs for their coworkers, relieved of having to even bother figuring out to bring home some form of alcohol for Chuuya. They made their purchases and, on the way back to the room Atsushi caught the most delicious scent of meat being roasted and they ended up having a nice, uncluttered meal at an open-air grill and barbeque.
“It’s no surprise where Acchan gets his atrocious table manners,” Akutagawa said, wiping sauce from Atsushi’s cheek with his thumb. Atsushi’s eyes went half-lidded, and he lipped at Akutagawa’s thumb before he drew back.
Atsushi’s phone vibrated on the table, breaking the mood—and their eye contact. Atsushi glanced down at it and then did a double-take, swiping open the messaging app. Akutagawa sat back in his chair, taking a sip of his bourbon while Atsushi scanned the message. “Everything good?”
He pursed his lips. “Chuuya-san said: ignore whatever Dazai says, everything is fine, don’t worry.” He looked up at Akutagawa. “Did Dazai-san text you?”
Akutagawa frowned in response and shifted, removing his own phone from his pocket and flipping it open before shaking his head. “No, he did not.”
“Didn’t text me either. Do you think everything’s okay?”
“If it wasn’t, Chuuya-san wouldn’t bother to text until he was done handling it.”
“True.” Atsushi frowned at his phone again and finally texted back
Is everything okay?
shits good don't worry dazai just being a little bitch as usual did he txt u
No.
ah okay really don't worry its all good I've got this handled we'll see u tmr
Chuuya then sent a picture of Ryuu-chan on his shoulders, and Acchan held under his arms, legs dangling like a long cat, while Chuuya floated in the air by a mascot statue. Atsushi snorted and showed Akutagawa the photo, and Akutagawa put his chin in his hand and smiled.
“They look like they’re having a good time.”
“What do you think happened?” Atsushi put his phone back, face-down, on the table. Akutagawa shrugged and clinked the ice in his drink thoughtfully.
“Acchan probably did a runner on Dazai-san, if I had to guess.” He took a long sip of his bourbon. “Too bad they’re too old for leash training at this point.”
“Surprised that’s the thing that’s stopping you,” Atsushi said, and Akutagawa laughed.
“You wouldn’t?”
“For Acchan? Never. Ryuu-chan at least has some sense in his head.”
“That is a rather backwards way of praising my intelligence, but I will take the compliment as it stands.” He raised his glass. “We’ll get Acchan there, you turned out pretty good, after all?”
Atsushi laughed and clinked his own whiskey glass into Akutagawa’s. “Only pretty good?”
“Very pretty, very good.”
“Getting your back blown out three times in a row has really loosened that tight grip on compliments you usually keep.” Akutagawa flushed and took another drink, and Atsushi nudged his chair with a foot. “Feels like my birthday.”
“Yes, well. I have to keep a little more in reserve than the traditional blow job.”
After dinner, they dropped their packages in the hotel room and took a walk along the beach as the sun sank into the horizon. It wasn’t as jam-packed now, most having drifted toward food and the live music being played in the pavilion, but they still passed a fair few families packing up for the day.
“Should we head back?” Atsushi asked, standing ankle-deep in the warm surf and watching a beach volleyball game being played by some athletic teenagers.
“Why?” Akutagawa asked lazily, still holding his hand. “Unless you wanted to retire early…”
Atsushi laughed, and leaned in toward him. “You’d really be up for another round?”
“Mm. Perhaps I could be convinced.”
By the time they wandered back in the direction of the resort, the stars were out. The music grew louder now, something catchy that Atsushi didn’t really recognize. They walked along some dimly lit garden paths where they could still hear the concert, muffled in the distance, and looked over the cascades of flowering bushes slowly closing up for the night.
When Akutagawa was distracted, Atsushi leaned in and plucked a very pretty, five-petaled flower from a bush. The petals were gradients of yellow, pink, and white; and Akutagawa turned his head, surprised, when Atsushi brushed his hair back and placed it over his ear. “What—?”
“It suits you,” Atsushi said, beaming, and was very pleased when Akutagawa’s cheeks went as pink as the tones in the flower. Atsushi kissed him, holding his hands, both of them standing under the twinkling strings of fairy lights stretched over the gardens and thought, contentedly, how could life get any better than this?

I think about this post I saw a few weeks back of this woman saying she can't get a man and so she despite not being poly wants to share a man if someone would let her.
That's Atsushi but for Todomatsu specifically. Atsushi has tried cockblocking and seducing his competition away and all its done is made Todomatsu hate him and Atsushi's still single. Even pays 3000 yen for the same fucking bowlcut and Todomatsu's blue suit but in goth colors and Todomatsu hates his guts loool

Weird thinking
So… I’m starting a fanfic and it’s probably going to be like one of the weirdest crossover’s ever (AKB0048/Batman/Miraculous Ladybug) so if there’s anyone out there who would be willing to beta it that’d be amazing.
So if you want to you could comment here or dm me

Prompt :) Tanuma gets mild to moderately ill, and the only person around to take care of him happens to be Nishi, who is surprisingly great at it. Cue Tanuma realizing yet again that the friends he’s met through Natsume genuinely love and care about him, in a way that has nothing to do with Natsume at all. (I am a *sucker* for my son feeling *appreciated* and *loved*)
x
Two hours after his father left, the front door rattles open again.
It takes Kaname longer than it usually would have to figure out that’s probably not a good thing.
But by the time he lifts his aching head, and starts puzzling out how he’s going to deal with a potential burglar when just sitting up causes the whole room to spin, a familiar face is peering into his bedroom.
“Oh, you’re up,” Nishimura says brightly, stepping further inside. “Didn’t wanna wake you if you weren’t.”
Kaname stares. He wonders for a split second if he’s hallucinating.
“You look like you’re gonna fall over,” Nishimura goes on, frowning at him. “Lay back down, dummy.”
No, that’s definitely Nishimura. Kaname lays back down.
“What are you doing here?” he asks, watching as his friend sets a plastic bag on his desk and shrugs a backpack to the floor. “I thought you had plans.”
“I did, up until my friends got sick. You and Natsume are like magnets for every single bug that goes around, I swear.” Nishimura takes a seat in Kaname’s computer chair, spins it once on principle, and stops himself when he’s facing the bed. “We can go some other time.”
He spent the last two and a half weeks gushing about the new Natori movie, all but vibrating with excitement every time it came up in conversation, and now he’s poking idly through some comic books he’s already read as though one is just as good as the other.
Kaname feels a stab of guilt. It goes straight through him, pinning him down.
“Sorry,” he says. It’s important that he says it. “You could still go if you wanted to.”
“Duh,” says Nishimura. “Obviously I don’t want to.”
“Obviously,” Kaname parrots weakly.
It turns out Nishimura has come prepared. The plastic bag, bearing the familiar 7-Eleven logo, contains bottles of Pocari Sweat, a cold compress, and little plastic cups of grated fruit. He sets up shop with the relative competence of someone who knows what they’re doing.
Kaname watches, blinking slowly. The guilt gets smaller and smaller, like every companionable second is another blanket laid over top of it to make it quiet.
It’s really nice to have a friend here with him, even if Kaname isn’t very good company. He’s never had a friend come over when he was sick before.
“Well, your old classmates were missing out. They sound like morons anyway,” Nishimura says plainly, reading Kaname’s mind. Or maybe he said that out loud. “You did, Tanuma,” Nishimura goes on, grinning by now. “Man, you’re out of it. Drink some of this.”
He twists the cap off a bottle of Pocari before handing it over. He’s at ease in this role, sitting on the edge of Kaname’s bed so Kaname has something to lean against when he’s a little unsteady sitting up. He lifts the bottle out of Kaname’s hand when it starts to list, and doesn’t seem to mind that Kaname’s head has found a home on his shoulder.
“How come you didn’t go to Natsume’s house?” Kaname mumbles.
Almost immediately, he regrets the question. He’s not sure if he wants to hear the answer. Isn’t it good enough that Nishimura is here, whatever the reason? Isn’t he lucky that his friend came to see him, even if Kaname was only the second choice?
“Both his parents are home, what’s he need me for? You didn’t even have any electrolyte drinks. Totally hopeless.” Nishimura digs his phone out of his pocket and holds the screen where they can both see it as he scrolls through Youtube playlists, completely prepared for the inevitability of Kaname falling asleep on him. “When you wake up, we’re gonna bully Acchan into bringing us dinner.”
Kaname can’t help it; he laughs. His yokai fish are swimming in shadows on the ceiling, and his friend has found a baby goat compilation to watch, and Kaname feels much better than he did twenty minutes ago.
“Pancakes,” he decides.
“Whatever you want, buddy,” Nishimura says, with the easy sincerity of someone who means it.

So I was at a party last night and since a lot of my friends do enjoy comics, manga/anime or books in general, there is always a time where you can start talking about a few series with several people, which makes the evening even better in my case. And it’s kinda amazing also because the environment and the topics don’t change much from social media.
Like, there were 2 of my friends who generally only watch animes and who were criticizing TG because, well, they found the anime sucks. And while it’s an opinion I totally share, the only difference with me is that they never gave a chance to the manga so their criticism was about non-canon content and thus kinda void, which tends to make me roll my eyes.
They argued for 5 minutes about how s1 was good but root a was not making sense and “why did the author do that shit, it’s ridiculous?” that at first I almost joined in to explain that the manga was the real story and not whatever the anime showed (because I mean clearly root a was awful, but at least check if the content is the real deal or not before starting to criticize).
I know it’s a subject I can be quite serious about though, so I thought “nah Acchan, not worth it”, but the subject came up again at a different time in the evening and so I ended up telling them that it was better to read the true story before having any judgement since the anime clearly was not good (it sounds not friendly but honestly it totally was, we were all having fun).
Then moving on, we ended up discussing Shingeki no Kyojin with a few more friends, knowing that I’m the only one out of them all who’s caught up with all the content. Some of my friends only watched the anime, one is in the uprising arc, another is working so much that for now they’re just about to switch to Marley’s POV after the time skip, etc. And the thing is, I surprised everyone when I said that Eren was my favorite character (along with Mikasa and Armin).
Obviously my policy is “no spoiler” so I couldn’t say much more than “Sensei gives him proper development over time”, but they were surprised because where they are all at in the story, for them Eren is just some kid who’s really angry about titans to the point that it can be annoying when he’s constantly ranting about them.
It was kinda surreal though, because obviously where I am, well, between the answers and the fact that Eren has grown so much, he’s really nothing like that kid he used to be, so it’s hard for me to try and get into my friends’ shoes especially considering all that they don’t know. So anyway, they were wondering about if the plot was going forward well, if it didn’t fall into any cliché zone, if the art style was better and they seemed happy when I said that in my opinion Isayama-sensei nailed it so far.
We also had some discussions about Berserk (my best friend and I are so in love with it that it’s hard not to mention it when we speak about manga/anime/comics), One Piece, about Bleach, about Ghost in the Shell, One Punch Man, Mob Psycho100, about some animes I didn’t know, about some comics even and I was so surprised because I didn’t know a big part of the world of manga/anime/comics actually touched such a large group of my friends.
It’s really cool though, because obviously I didn’t use to have the occasion to talk about these up until these last few years, which is why I have my blog (even if the purpose it serves is because I’m probably the only fan amongst my friends who has 0 patience to the point of always having to think about theories) and we did cover so many titles (a lot I didn’t know) that I really had a particularly amazing evening.
tl;dr the thing I want to convey is that IRL there is a stereotype about liking manga/anime (and possibly comics but I don’t read any so I wouldn’t know) that’s making you odd or a nerd or a geek in the head of those who don’t, when it’s actually touching a lot of generations and a lot of different people, precisely because it is so diversified.
For example, I used to be extremely ashamed about liking manga/animes when I was a few years younger, precisely because of criticism coming from people who only had this stereotype in mind. It took me a while to get over it but now I’m really enjoying making those people try a series or two for themselves, to see if they wouldn’t happen to like it too.
This is why I think it’s important to own up to what you like (even if there are always going to be a few people who won’t be impressed), because that’s how a group of ten grown adults, all having different situations in life, ended up exchanging about series they enjoy for basically two hours at another friend’s birthday party (and sometimes it got really passionate :D).
...Now I’m hoping one day someone amongst my friends will give a try to Kuroshitsuji xDDD (but then again, I blame the stereotypes that the anime glued to the title, despite the manga being different and way better in my opinion).
Be proud of what you like!!

And so! Let me tell a story about the first time the three of us met!
The first time we met was in May. I remember by heart beating so fast when I opened the door to our lesson studio...
And waiting there was! Mocchi and Acchan(*´ω`*)
I read my audition lines at the same time as Mocchi, so I remembered her, but she was so small, and her eyes were so big! I thought that she must be younger than me, lol. And when I entered, Acchan looked at me and said "Wow, a cute girl is here!" lol
The two of them were really cute as well! So I felt really out of place, and ended up sitting in the middle lol And the three of us heard that we had passed the audition, so we were so happy! So we went to a nearby pasta store and ate together!(*゚▽゚*)
Oh, we were ordering pasta, and I chose my favorite one. And when the waiter came over, this happened...
Mocchi: I'll have this Me: Ah, I'll have that too Acchan: Really? Me too
And so!!! We were supposed to choose by ourselves, but we all ended up getting the same pasta! We had just met, but we were already in sync. (*´-`) I thought it was fate.
After that: "What anime do you like?" "What WUG songs do you like?" We talked a lot about things like that... The otaku talk was really exciting.
At that time, we didn't really know much, so it just a vague "Let's all work hard together!" at the time. But now, after so many lessons, and the announcement event, "Let's make Ranga a valuable part of this production!" is what we're aiming for now!
If the three of us go out to eat again, will we be able to talk about something else? Once everything's calmed down, let's all go out to eat! Eating meat this time sounds good(@ ̄ρ ̄@)
Here's a picture from the first edition of the RGR food meetings!
Tumblr media
Lastly, here's part 2 of my self-introduction!
Actually, I really like to draw!! I'm the same as Ayumu-chan(=´∀`) I copy characters I like, and sometimes I draw my own original characters, I often end up doodling on my school notes and printouts( ;´Д`) This isn't good!! lol But, that's just how much I love drawing! Even though I'm not really good at it(〃ω〃)
Here's a quick sketch of Hayashi Ayumu-chan!
Tumblr media
How is it...? It's my first time showing others my drawings, so I'm a little embarassed!!
How good is Ayumu-chan at drawing? I'll draw a lot so I won't lose to Ayumu-chan_φ( ̄ー ̄ ) From now of, I'll draw a lot of characters, and show them to everyone! I'd be happy if you looked forward to it!
We'll end on an "OK" from Hayamaru!

See you next week\\\\٩( 'ω' )و ////

Soothing Love reminiscence : Story of Kobayashi Yui (小林由依)
I remember her as the member with the crooked teeth. But that was 1 year ago. Now, when i think of Yuipon, i think of someone who slowly but surely amaze me. Fans don’t quickly notice her because her character is the opposite of straightforward; it feels like she willingly try to not make waves in performance and variety. The kind of girl that you find cute in the subway, but forget shortly after. Yuipon can be compared to an old wine. There’s no kick with the first sip, but then a fruity aftertaste. A delicacy that you enjoy over time. Not that i’m explaining you need to be a hipster to be a Yuipon fan, but her overall personality is much more subtile compared to Oda nana (who focus on humor) or Moriya Akane. Therefore, you need to make efforts to know more her. And it’s worth it.
Tumblr media
“Yuipon is not your average girl. She has a cute face, long legs and impeccable hair.”
It’s true, to speak boldly during variety show, or behaving differently than others, helps you stand out and leave a huge impression. Not only Yui is the opposite, but in Keyakitte Kakenai, they use this image to characterize her as a loner : there were few segments showing her being alone backstage while the other girls were fooling around. Another segment, she explained she spent christmas alone, with only a red cap to celebrate. Later on, Sawabe (Host of keyakitte show) bought her a christmas gift to make up for it.
But her character in the group evolved in a more interesting turn of event. She incidentally became the target of Oda nana running gag, being chosen to be her love interest in the group. For someone a bit introverted as Yuipon to face the funny creepiness act of Oda involved her in the main act of keyaki variety scene. To make a shy girl embarassed, turning her all red, is the most appealing to fans. Yuipon sweet and innocent character is the best to tease.  I personally don’t think you need to be straightforward to succeed in the entertainement world. If everyone were all comics making fun of each other, it would create an oversaturated atmosphere, a pace that the viewer wouldn’t follow. you need girls like Yuipon to balance with Oda nana eccentricity.
But it would be a mistake to say she doesn’t know how to “express” herself. Let’s keep in mind she entered Keyaki being 15 years old, but already had participated in music contest.
Tumblr media
“Kobayashi Yui is a talented musician, being able to play Alt Saxophone, Piano, guitar and drums”
In her introduction video in Keyakitte Kakenai, as well as Keyaki introduction performance to fans, she didn’t hesitated to use her guitar skill to catch fans attention. Thanks to her experience, she didn’t waver because of stress and displayed a very convincing live, with a bright smile. Shortly after, fans during handshake event praised her idea to perform with a guitar. You could say she filled her lack of presence in TV show thanks to her musical performance. Something that is a real advantage to the Sakamichi series, is the individual PV. She’s fully using resources available to her to show how much she’s capable of : for example she did a 5-man music session with her on all instruments and singing. A feat that only a few are able to, and deeply impressing fans.
Management was able to witness her potential and decided to use it right on the first single, making the excellent Shibuyagawa. It was a turning point because she would endorse a new side of Keyakizaka, the pop-folk sub unit she embodies with Imaizumi. Her role in Keyakizaka went from the quiet girl to the face of the group raw music. What was the most impressive is undoubtly her “Bob dylan wo kaesanai” performance in Ariake Coliseum, with Imaizumi. It was performed live (but not the guitar) and people noticed how good Yuipon was able to control her voice, even the high pitched part. To sing perfectly her backing part allowed Imaizumi Yui to fully release her powerful voice in her solo, making the chemistry between the two even more striking. What is difficult is not Zuumin solo, but actually Yuipon part to sing accurately and not lose her focus while Zuumin is giving all she’s got. In Matome (japanese newsite) most keyaki fans voted bob dylan as the song they enjoyed the most.
Tumblr media
“To be quiet doesn’t mean Yuipon is gloomy. She enjoys her time in the group, always singing with a bright smile with Zuumin”
Yuipon has what it takes to claim Sakamichi DNA. She did few photoshoot and just recently did modeling for Girl’s award 2017 show. But again, what impressed people was not her visual, but her acting. In Keyakitte Kakenai again, she showed she could convey emotion through a “love rejection” (失恋) segment. The quiet Yuipon perfectly played the role of a vulnerable girl confessing her love to the guy she likes. And when she was rejected, to show how heavy her heart was, how oblivious she was  to know what to do, and instinctively shouting her hopelesness in the air. Sawabe and Tsuchida praised her for showing a side that fans and member didn’t know of her. You could see the other members were really into it, like it was a real japanese drama. Her acting prowess continue with her 4th individual PV, were she handle 10 min of theater play. She switched from hope, sadness, anger, confusion; reciting by heart more than 4 page of text. Undoubtly Yuipon is talented.
It’s kind of related to her joining Keyakizaka. She wanted to free herself from her natural quiet personality and acting is one of the answer. It’s very convenient as Keyakizaka is blessed with many acting opportunity since they had one drama, and another one coming in late May. Perhaps Yuipon can take a more important role to push her limit even further. To be quiet is not a default to fix, as it has is own charm, but to get out of her comfort zone is the best way to improve, and Yuipon knows it. Since her personality isn’t of someone who would confront others, it’s very unsure to say if Yuipon is someone competitive or not. The thing is, Zuumin and her have already a great responsability holding the artistic side of Keyakizaka46, that she first try to live up what management gave to them before aiming at something higher, like center position.
youtube
“It’s true Yuipon is not the kind of girl who actively approach people. But she always welcome other’s friendship with an open heart.”
It’s interesting to see the contrast between Kobayashi’s quiet personality and the role she will have in Keyakizaka future. If the group keep his incredible momemtum, the amount of work related to modeling, acting and original B-side will increase, causing her visibility to increase as well. Ironically, someone who didn’t want to stand out will eventually be in the midst of Keyaki future main project. She doesn’t have the intensity of yurina or the energy of Zuumin, but she does grow in field that goes beyond the standard profile of an idol, and can turn into Keyakizaka best asset.
Even if her natural humility won’t allow her to accept this status, Yuipon is already an irrepleacable existence to Keyakizaka, solely from her duo with Zuumin. Actually, Keyakizaka way to stand out was the style (rebellion) but A-capella singing and Accoustic instrumental is a strength that other idol group have yet to really exploit as much as Yuichanzu.
In AKB, you had member like Acchan who shine brightly to attract people, and member who build the group from behind, step by step like Sasshi. Yuipon is the kind who doesn’t shine much, but build Keyakizaka solid reputation by making good B-sides. Therefore, her role in the group is very important. Lesson to be learn, is that Keyakizaka doesn’t make the same mistake as AKB long ago : they work the group unity, giving a role to everyone. Center, singer, comedian, dancer, actress. You only need to find your path : Yuipon being the orthodox style, will probably let go of comedy and dance to focus on singing and actress. And thanks to her, the group will stand on solid grounds to reach new heights.
