Feels like either Aether talking to Scara about when he's going to leave Teyvat or Scara talking to Aether about when he eventually gets struck down/destroyed

Man I don’t think we talk enough about the fact that in the wildly accepted fanon, the ghouls were like. Creatures pulled out of a primitive society full of bloodshed and danger. These guys were just chilling in hell, fighting for their lives every day like you do, and now they’re on Earth, expected to figure out Earth manners and technology and how the fuck anything works. I’ve been thinking about it, though. Let me walk you through my thoughts
THE GHOULS TRANSITIONING TO LIFE ON EARTH
Aether
- Bull in a China shop
- Big man has gotten very good at controlling his strength over the years. That control was NOT there at first.
- Bumped into fucking everything too. Dude’s used to being in the wide open abyss the quintessence ghouls occupy. Suddenly having to learn special awareness was. A hurdle of his.
- He broke a lot of tables. And chairs. And plates. Mugs. One Sibling’s arm. He got there eventually but Omega had to walk him through how fragile everything on Earth is compared to their ghoulish strength.
- Part of his habit of jumping up and down also comes from how different Earth is to his home environment. You mean you can go up and then you’ll come down again? Automatically? What a concept! Gravity is so much fun!
- Still gets some sense of novelty out of electric lighting. Being able to just. Make the dark go away? Whenever? Amazing.
- He keeps a night light on in his room. The last person to make fun of him for it mysteriously ended up with 3rd degree burns.
Dewdrop:
- Skittish little fucker
- Kinda like that one video of those weird crabs reacting to the diver
- Dew, poking at a toaster: Friend? Friend? Friend? Big noise! Scared! Scared! Scared! Scared! … Friend? Friend?
- Fucking LOVED blankets and coats and jackets and robes and honestly just anything that will keep him warm. He was used to the cold, sure, but if he had a choice between that and being cuddled under 5 different comforters, possibly with another ghoul for extra body heat? It wasn’t even a competition.
- Still had to often be reminded to wear clothes. “We’re in a hellish commune, does anyone really care about one ghoul being naked?” “It’s not so much the nakedness as much as the being out and about without your uniform.”
- Warm food blew his Fucking mind. Coming from the frigid arctic, whatever warmth you’d get from your food’s internal temperature was short lived. Microwaves? Ovens? Tea Kettles? Marvelous. Truly a gift from the Dark One
- Got REALLY into cooking. Dude is a wizard in the kitchen. Watched so many kitchen shows once he figured out how TV’s worked and started replicating the really fancy meals they were creating on screen with whatever he could find around the Abbey and what the kitchen staff were willing to give him. Now, whenever there’s a big occasion, he’s the one asked to oversee the food.
Mountain:
- weirdly calm and placid about everything despite not knowing how literally anything worked.
- Just casually curious about everything. Was always asking questions. Not in an annoying way, but just politely inquisitive.
- There was like a 50/50 chance he was actually listening to you at any given point in time. I mean, there are so many new sights, sounds, smells to experience! Can’t expect him to be 100% there when there’s still so much new splendor all around!
- If ever he was confronted with something new but no one was around to explain what it was, he would instead try to just. Figure it out on his own using his best judgement.
- This is how he once ended up straight up eating someone’s phone. This was very early on, mind you, but it was so smooth and shiny! And the precious metals inside were so tasty! He knows better now, of course. But there are some days where he’s tempted to give his ministry-issued smartphone a nibble…
- Figured out his love of gardening pretty damn fast considering that’s what he was originally summoned for. However, aside from tending to Primo’s garden, he found himself still going out to tend to the plants even in his free time. It’s calming to him, reminds him of home. When things get overwhelming, the plants are there to let him channel his worry into something producing.
- His first personal plant was a small pot of rosemary. He kept it in the window of his room and took *such* good care of it. It’s still there to this day, nestled among the other plants he’s accumulated of the years.
Swiss
- he is so excited about everything!!!!
- He has to be touching all the new things all the time! What does it do? How is it made?? Can he eat it??? A lot of things that were small enough went straight into his mouth. Copia needed to keep a spray bottle on him at all times to make sure he didn’t hurt himself.
- Of course, when he was around the other ghouls, he played it cool. Have to make a good impression on his new (and hopefully permanent) packmates after all. He reeeaaaally didn’t want get sent back to the pit so getting in good with the rest of the band was TOP priority!
- In fact that need to be liked was bordering on unhealthy and sort of sabotaged himself a bit. Acting all suave and cocksure when the entire rest of the band was on high alert does that.
- Most of the ghouls regarded him with a hefty amount of distrust at first- being the first summon of the new boss came with a LOT of baggage -but Cumulus saw straight through him. He was just a silly little guy! She became his first real friend amongst the pack.
- The two became menaces together, exploring the abbey and messing with shit they probably shouldn’t have. Primo’s garden was a favorite of theirs, much to Mountain’s chagrin.
- Was just SOOOO fascinated by this new body he’s been put in. Unlike most the other ghouls, he didn’t have a physical body he inhabited back in hell, only being given one when he was summoned to the surface. Flesh! If feels funny! What does this thing down here do-
Cumulus:
- was honestly kinda scared at first, what with the whole mood of the pack being out of wack.
- Apparently their new boss might have killed someone? That’s the guy that summoned them? Uh oh!
- Stayed glued to Cirrus in the beginning. Being summoned together meant having a strong built-in bond with each other, always having access to what the other is feeling. Being together offered a much-needed sense of comfort to Cumulus. Getting to spend time with a really pretty girl wasn’t bad either.
- Swiss was the one to bring her out of her shell, imbuing her with confidence through his own fake bravado. They came to rely on each other in that sense. When Cumulus was scared to do the things she wanted, Swiss would convince her of her capability. When Swiss was anxious and felt like a fraud, Cumulus would remind him of his sincerity.
- Was very curious about how her magic worked on the surface versus how it did in the pit. Back home, she was used to having to beat against the constant winds of the first layer of hell. Now that she’s on Earth, her powers are much more powerful than she ever expected them to be!
- LOVED textiles. She surrounded herself in all things soft and fluffy. Her bedroom (and most nights Cirrus’s as well) is just so Fucking cozy. Blankets and pillows everywhere. Her stuffed animal collection is unmatched. Will cry if even one of them ends up on the floor.
- Dew was the one to help her start her collection. To this day they are each other’s #1 cuddle buddies.
Cirrus:
- Stone cold badass front to hide how nervous she was.
- VERY protective of Cumulus in the beginning. She could feel how scared she was and felt the need to step up and protect the both of them from any threat this new environment may have… even if the perceived threat is a bit stupid.
- She once kicked in the washing machine cause it made a sound once it was done and it startled her. Not her proudest moment.
- Was almost OVERPROTECTIVE of Cumulus at first, even, doing even the simplest of tasks for her to prevent risk of injury. That was until she watched her kick a sibling straight in the nuts for making snide remarks about Cirrus in front of her. Cirrus had never fallen in love faster.
- Took a LONG while to warm up to the others. Constantly felt like she had something to prove, like she needed to show that she wouldn’t buckle under pressure. Everyone (but Cumulus) was a threat.
- Adores weather on Earth and how it isn’t just WIND 24/7. She loves all the different shapes of the clouds, how dark they get with moisture, the gentle snowfall or the needle-like rain. Really puts her at peace to be out on a rainy day
Rain:
- S C A R E D
- Everything is new and bright and cold and heavy and loud and- and- and-
- Yeah he barely left his room for a week, didn’t talk to anyone for anything. Not shy, necessarily, but just freaked the fuck OUT. They were starting to think he was nonverbal cause man refused to use his voice. In his defense, talking outside the water feels very different when you’re used to your vocal cords wiggling in water all your life.
- In my brain the first time he did speak was to Copia after he did his lil oopsie with the rest of the pack. It’s like a day later and Copia’s tryna plan how he’s gonna make it up to the ghouls when rain cornered him in a dark hallway, made direct eye contact, and in the softest voice went “I wouldn’t go near the lake if I were you. It’s hard to hear screaming underwater.” He then left a completely stunned and freaked tf out Copia standing alone in the hall like it never happened.
- He kinda regrets letting his first words on Earth be a threat now but the rest of the pack is flattered, although they do still sometimes tease him for it.
- Really started coming out of his shell when Dew made dinner for him. Dew was in the same shoes as him once and, although his relationship with the new water ghoul was complicated, he still felt obligated to help his new packmate adjust to life on Earth.
- Bro went through the trouble of showing Rain what every little thing in the kitchen did so he wouldn’t be scared to make his own food anymore, all while making him some grade A gourmet dining. Dew didn’t know it at the time but that’s when the heart-eyes started.

A Genshin Player typically has a variety of characters to choose from. Such options can range from free-to-play characters to limited five stars. Regardless of how much one invested in the game, they're bound to have at least a handful of options.
This is what all characters are aware of— that they are options among hundreds to thousands of vision holders across Teyvat, with every character being special and enticing in their own way.
There's no way they could be the favorite.
Right?
[x] WANDERER
He doesn't quite know who he is.
He doesn't understand what his purpose is either.
He just wanders, lost, nation to nation in hopes of maybe discovering a sense of fulfillment.
And with all the wandering he's done, he -of course- has heard about you. A special entity to this world. A small part of him wonders if you'd know the answers to his questions (or perhaps, you could make use of him? If he could be useful to someone like you, then surely he would feel fulfilled?).
Despite his quiet hopes, he wasn't in any rush to find you. Nor did he hope for you to actually make use of him. He just continued wandering, from the mountains of Liyue to the forests of Sumeru— all the way to where he is now. The barren desert, with nothing but sand for miles and miles to see (and perhaps that rather intimidating, flipped pyramid at a distance).
Needless to say, he wasn't expecting you of all people to follow his tracks out into the desert.
At first you were just a spech amongst the sands, then you became clearer with your approach, showing more and more the familiar features he once saw in passing amongst statues or paintings.
When you were finally within hearing distance, you raised a hand as if to call out his name, hesitating for a moment before deciding what to say—
"Wanderer!"
He tilts his head, pausing to face you as you walk closer. The sand around you stills, as if no longer fighting against every footstep you take, and instead assisting you to come closer.
"You are. . . the one this world was created for, right?" He asks unsure as soon as you were close enough
"I suppose I am?" You reply with a laugh, and he finds that he quite likes your laugh. "I tried looking for you, I'm glad I caught up before you got too deep into the desert."
"You tried looking for me. . ? Why?"
"Because how could I visit Teyvat without meeting you?" You smile softly. He looks away, it doesn't make sense.
"Meeting me, huh. . . then may I ask for a favor?"
"Anything you want."
His eyes catches yours -sunlight hitting them just right- and without missing a beat, "Can I be of use to you? Can you give me purpose?"
You freeze, hands to your side as you stare back at him. In truth, you were expecting something like this, but now? So soon on your first meeting? He looks back seriously.
"Sca– Wanderer," You begin, "You're doing this. . . to find out who you are, right?"
He nods. You sigh.
"Well. . . I know a friend back in the city who can help you. They're a traveler as well. In fact, you can say they're a friend of yours!"
"A friend of mine. . ?"
"Trust me. You'll love them. And shall we go back?"
Go back? He wonders. There's miles and miles of sand around you.
"It would be nightfall soon. I don't think we'd be able to make it back today. I'm sorry."
You turn to him, lips in a wide smile. There's something wrapped between your fingers as you hold it out for him to catch. He opens his palm, it settles down slowly— it's. . . an anemo vision. Glowing brightly.
"Why walk when we can fly?" You grin.
bonus :
"Don't you feel hot at all?" You whine, shielding your eyes from the glare of sunlight.
"I have a hat."
"I see. . . "
[x] SCARAMOUCHE
* It's conflicting, really. Scaramouche despises gods— their invisible influence taunting him like he was a defective product, like he should be ashamed to ever think he could stand on their level.
* You were... an oddity in his feelings towards such powerful beings. The world was made for you, catered to you, and people naturally adored you (just like how they adored the traveler you've shown your favor to).
* So when you, the being which his very world was created for your entertainment, landed in Teyvat, as human as any human could be— he didn't know what to expect.
* He didn't care. There are hundreds for you to meet, and he's not about to wait in line, dilly-dallying for your attention like a common peasant.
* But in the open halls of the Tsaritsa's palace, you approach with the quick pattering of your heels.
* The crowd of Fatui workers naturally part as soon as they noticed your approach. It's odd enough to hear that the player begged to go to Snezhnaya -land of nothing but barren snow- but to rush to Scaramouche's main headquarters? Unheard of!
* Yet there you were, face to face with a single option out of hundreds (the single option you chose).
"What in Teyvat are you. . ." He trails off, his face scrunched between irritation and shock. He doesn't know what to say, really. Would insulting you incur some sort of divine fury?
"I came looking for you!" You reply.
He thinks you're an idiot. He shouldn't call you that, right? Would it damn him to the abyss or something?
"Why. . ." He tries to form the words, "Why in Teyvat would you–" He pauses, looking around at the small crowd.
With a glare, the Fatui agents scatter away from the hall. It doesn't take much to scare them away like little rats. As he turns back to you, you look back unafraid, if not a little excited.
"Why are you here? Do you pity me, is that it?" He asks with a bite to his voice.
"Yes."
"I– what? So you admit it?" He scoffs, is there a limit to your shamelessness? Is this a trait natural to the gods? "Unbelievable."
"I pity you, everything you went through, but that's not the reason why I'm here! Isn't it obvious?" You say, a wide grin beginning to form, "You're my absolute favorite!"
He freezes. What? Absolutely. . . favorite?
As if understanding his speechlessness, you continue on, "I've been wanting to meet you since the very first event– ahem, first time I saw you!"
"You truly are an odd one." He mumbles under his breath because why him? Why the one who was abandoned and used numerous times? He's merely a puppet without a heart.
An empty vessel.
"And why should I believe you?" He says unconvincingly, arms folded. He notices the little chatter behind the walls, those darn recruits are listening in.
"Why would I be here if you're not my favorite?" You quip back.
He scoffs, "I don't know, but there's certainly something wrong with you in the head. You're not exactly what I expected."
"If you were expecting a certain level of power, then I could still do that. I can give you gifts."
". . . gifts?" He tilts his head.
"Artifacts, weapons, talents— they're all for you since the very beginning anyway!"
Artifacts, weapons. . . power? He thinks. Truly, if you were such an ultimate being, you could provide him anything? As if pondering over it, he suddenly pauses.
Yes, indeed you could give him these things.
But why him?
Because of favorites?
How could he be favored when he was once thrown away.
". . . Can you give me a gnosis?" He says, voice uncharacteristically soft.
"Um. . . we'll work on that. Maybe on the later arcs."
[x] CHONGYUN
* Despite modern Liyue's sovereignty from gods, it's still a nation that values traditions and piety. It's natural that with your arrival, you only deserve the best!
* That included invites from some of the highest ranking nobles and guilds. It's no surprise that Xingqiu, the second son of the largest Commerce Guild, makes an appearance to greet you in the Jade Palace, his brother and parents already done with their turns.
* Xingqiu expected a lot from you, maybe discussions of the arts (or perhaps you're even interested in novels?). What he didn't expect was for you to ask such a random question.
"Oh Xingqiu! You're here! Ah– but where's Chongyun?"
He only pauses for a second. Chongyun may be the son of a longstanding exorcist clan, but they're not much to boast about in terms of influence or wealth. Chongyun is... well, Chongyun. His dear best friend.
"I apologize, I wasn't aware that you'd like to meet him as well. Chongyun should be. . . hmm around the harbor by now, perhaps." He stands straight from his bow, "We were planning on meeting after this, your Holiness, to look for haunted h— I mean, to stroll Wuwang Hill."
You already know what they're up to as you clasp your hands together.
"Excellent! I'll go with you!"
"Wait- what?"
* Oh poor Chongyun, he would be a frantic mess in disbelief. It was hard enough to believe that you suddenly went to Liyue, but to approach him of all people? Did you mistake him for someone else? Are you going to ask for directions? Did he do something wrong?
* The thoughts swirling around his head is enough to destabilize his yang energy as you helplessly reassure him that you're there because you want to meet him as soon as you could.
"Chongyun!" You rush up to him, arms wide in an embrace— the cryo allogene freezes in place, stares with his cat-like eyes in wonder because wait, wait, wait– is the one and only controller of this world approaching him for a hug?
"I- Wait, me?" He stutters, tumbling over his words as you smile. His arms are awkwardly raised, unsure if he should hug you back.
"Yes! I met Xingqiu a while back and was wondering why you weren't with him."
"You- you were looking for me?"
"Of course I have! I've always wanted to meet you in person like this!"
As you squeeze him in your arms, you feel him go limp as his face turns red in heat.
"Oh no! His yang energy!"
[x] ABYSS AETHER
Aether knew he was damned. The minute he resolved to see through everything till the end, despite everyone thinking otherwise, he knew no one would understand why he decided to do this.
Alone, is how he decided to do this. So he sits lonely on a throne in the nave of what seems to be a dark cathedral. The walls depicting menacing murals of an era where everything went wrong. The abyss mages that normally float in worship are no where to be seen, just the way he wanted it.
Until you appeared, the little soft patter of footsteps echoing down his aisle, the heavy doors moving back to reveal your underwhelming entrance. He sees you and he wonders if he expected you to come, to blame him or get angry because how could he stray so far from his oh-so-favored sister, Lumine.
Yet, you walk up to him with a look of what seems to be sorrow.
"Are you here to blame me?" He asks and his voice echoes against cavernous walls.
"Blame you? No. . ." You reply.
"Then do you pity me?"
"Aether, I just want to understand." You confidently say, finally by the foot of his throne. He doesn't feel comfortable looking down on you like this, not you, so he stands to approach your eye level.
"Shouldn't you already understand?" He questions, curious.
"I— don't. . . I don't know everything there is to this world."
Aether frowns. Maybe because he was hoping that you of all people -mortal or god- would understand why he's doing this.
"That isn't my problem. There are bigger things for me to think about." He turns away and just before he could take the first step;
"I don't know everything about this world but if it's you– then I want to understand. I'm sure you have your reasons. I trust you more than anything."
He pauses, face in wonder, because how could you trust someone so blindly?
With an exhale and a decision made, he turns to you, "Then follow me. If you want to understand why, then stay with me."
"Okay."
[x] RAZOR
It was a classic welcome— arriving in Mondstadt, touring around the city, greeting the characters you've always wanted to meet. Despite their initial formalities and decorum, you've managed to tone down the professionalism and started to treat each other as friends.
That didn't mean they weren't very open to the idea of you meeting the less. . . civil of the bunch.
"I'd like to visit Wolvendom." You tell the small group. It's another day in the city, enjoying drinks by the taverns under the sun. Lucky for you, the Cavalry Captain and the Outrider have their time off to enjoy with you.
"Oh? Is there a reason why?" Kaeya leans back, head tilted.
"To be honest. . . I wanted to visit Razor. I'm sure you know him!"
Truth be told, you just wanted to meet a certain good wolf cub hidden in the woods. While everyone has went out of their way to meet you, Razor kept to himself in Wolvendom. Perhaps he was too intimidated by the crowds pouring into Mondstadt, or maybe he just wasn't familiar about you, but Razor was nowhere to be seen since your arrival.
". . . Razor?" Kaeya says hesitantly, "Hmm while I have no problem with you going to Wolvendom to meet him, there is another issue. . ."
"What issue?"
"The knights decided not to let you meet Razor," Amber quips in, "I mean– It's not that there's anything bad about him, it's just that he hasn't learned his manners yet. We thought it might be disrespectful if he met you so soon."
"Disrespectful?" You voice out in shock.
"Of course we know that you're not strict about that now! But I guess we never clarified the situation with Razor. . "
You huff, standing up tall with new resolve, "That's it! We're going out to find Razor and give him the biggest hug ever!"
"We are?" They echo back in unison.
"Yes we are!" You hook both your arms around theirs, dragging them out the gates of Mondstadt.

I'm not a fan of bridging Genshin and Honkai, but the authors seem to be doing it anyway, so... blame Hoyo for this post.
tl;dr of Honkai lore
At the core of Honkai's cosmogony are two concepts. The Imaginary Tree — a tree of branching parallel universes, each twig of which is a timeline and each leaf a world. And The Sea of Quanta — a boundless place of entropy and chaos from which the Imaginary tree spawned.
Order and chaos, basically. They exist in constant conflict, the tree tries to consume the sea of quanta and the sea tries to flood and dissolve the tree.
When a world fails to persist it can "fall" from the tree into the sea of quanta, becoming an unstable fragmented version of itself called a bubble universe. A shadow of a proper world. Such a universe is eventually dissolved in the sea.
Bubbles universes can also be artificially created or spawned from someone's memories. Either way they are unstable. If I recall correctly, Genshin was confirmed to be a bubble universe in a Honkai 3rd easter egg.
Ether Anchors
There's a technology allowing to extend a bubble universe's lifespan, is called an Ether Anchor. An Ether Anchor holds together fragments of a bubble universe that follow a fixed set of laws.
It seems to be more of a place/space anomaly than an object (“a topological formation that exists between the dimensional manifolds”), if I understood Durandal's and Roland's lore correctly, but also can take the form of an object, if honkai wiki is to be believed.
(I think space anomalies are anchor points, not the anchor itself? the places where it sews fragments of reality together. I'm still figuring this part out)
Quotes from Durandal VN summary:
At the core of the Ether Anchor, space from different dimensions were cluttered together like vines
"There, he witnessed the endless possibilities of another ancient world. "
Tartaglia's character story 4
Readjusted her body composition with the Ether Anchor to turn herself into a weapon.
I think there was a guy in Genshin who constantly talks about turning himself into a weapon. I can't quite remember his name though...
Synchronized themselves with the Ether Anchor, becoming the “Son of God” itself.
"The purpose of this line in the ritual scripture is to forsake the self and sink into the abyss, and in the abyss, to welcome rebirth as a holy infant."
Narcissenkreuz Ordo note
Another property of the Ether Anchor is that it allows bubble universes to interact with one another.
Or maybe not exactly different bubble universes but rather fragments of the same bubble universe (or, since we are in a multiverse, these could be the same thing)?
"Unborn life, unfulfilled wishes, Tragic dreams at the edge of the universal darkness that could never come true."
Festering Desire description
Ok, this is getting too long and no one reads long posts. Maybe I'll continue in a separate post later. There are still the topics of the Abyss (and why it's not The Sea of Quanta), Descenders, whether the anchors need to be sustained in some way, Tsaritsa's goals, why does everyone who has seen the Abyss speaks of ultimate injustice, Alice and Hexenzirkel in general, what is Irminsul exactly, and, of course, Childe, why Childe's promise of a battle at the edge of the universe is more important than it might seem, what are world cycles, and why Childe's part of 4.2 story sucked so much (I now have a Lore Explanation. or maybe a copium overdose. probably both).
For now I'm calling it though. Whatever Khaenri'ahns messed up, it had to do something with Teyvat's Aether Anchor.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want to start off by saying that void magick is something that can be very difficult to find information on. That’s why I sought to compile all that I know here so others can find and enjoy it. Further more I would like to note that because of the nature of the void most of how it’s used and how it works with us as individuals comes from unique and personal experiences. Like lots of varying magick the void spins a web around the UPG crowd. So you’re bound to get a whole variety of experiences and beliefs that manifest within its concepts. This blog is an attempt to identify some of the common ground and basics to give people a good place to start.
Tumblr media
What is the Void?
Also called the Abyss, the Aether, the Empty, and the Great Nothing, the void is a place outside of existence. It’s the place all energy begins and takes form. To some believers, it is also the ultimate end. The place we will eventually return to. It is a space of nothingness and yet everything. A paradox that transcends our mortal concepts and perplexes our senses. The best way I can explain this and simplify it to a sense of understanding we can comprehend is by offering this analogy:
Let’s say you’re given a bucket of water and you set it out in the sun so all the water evaporates. Would you then be able to call it empty? Well at first glance yes, but remember, that when water evaporates it doesn’t simply vanish. It becomes a gas that floats around in the air. That air is still there it never left and thus so is the water but in a different form unseeable to our physical eyes. This is what the void is. A collective of what is and what has been only in a different form.
The Mindset
Anyone can work with the void regardless of who you are and what you believe. However there is a certain mindset often adopted by void magick practitioners. This mindset can help to focus and make greater use of the magick as a whole and invites a much more pleasurable experience through and through. It’s the mindset of openness and willingness to accept that anything is possible. This means that we have limited restrictions on what we allow in to our hearts and minds spiritually. However this is not an excuse to be a bad person. Rules and laws still exist and so does morality and common sense. Never use the void as an excuse to be a jerk.
What does it look like?
The void overall has been described by most people as a black empty space. Some say the air around you feels almost fluid like while others say it feels more like a large room where even your deepest thoughts will echo in its vastness. Yet, curiously enough some have even described their experiences with the void as the opposite. Bright, white and full of energy. It can almost feel suffocating at times.
So why such varying depictions? There are often 3 main theories to answer this. First off, some practitioners theorize that it can be because we each have a different mindset and belief, and when we visit the void it draws on those beliefs and manifests something from them. We each in a sense have our own personal reality. It’s the reality that is tied to our perspectives and emotions. This reflects our magick in the most general of senses so it makes sense to assume that a place as intuitive as the void would reflect this in some way. Secondly, the theory goes that it could be tied to a persons true nature as some say that their visit to the void was peaceful and calm while others say it was far too intense and downright frightening. Lastly, some that believe the void can be separated into varying realms within itself. This is how I personally believe as well as the 1st theory. A nice blend of both males the most sense to me.
Meditation & Astral
Meditation and Astral travel are two very different things but people often get them confused. When you meditate on void you are pulling energy from it to connect to your conscious and subconscious minds and then in turn use it to effect your body. While with astral travel you are literally sending your conscious into the void space. This is where people see the void for what it is. This is a far more intense experience that can easily get overwhelming to those who aren’t prepared.
As for the processes of achieving both of these activities it’s as simple as whatever meditative or astral process you do now. Just focus your intention on the void itself. It may take a few tries for some people but once you get the hang of things it should go more smoothly.
Now before we continue I must offer a disclaimer. Some individuals who do astral travel do so with the help of hallucinogens. This is a TERRIBLE idea. Even if they are perfectly legal where you come from, using something that can force your mind to see things that aren’t there is a recipe for disaster when working with the void.I’ve read stories online and watched videos on YouTube about individuals that used drugs to induce void astral projection and felt trapped and afraid like they had no control and couldn’t pull themselves out. So please practice safety above all else.
Void as an Element
Another way to bring void magick into your practice is through the calling of the elements. Some individuals use the void as the sixth element after earth, air, fire, water, & spirit. These practitioners place the void element in the center of the pentacle/pentagram because it’s in the center of everything. However there are those that utilize void as an element by combining it with spirit and just referring to the combination as the Aether.
To work this sort of magick is very simple. Just call it as you would any other element. Symbolism in this case is often done using a black candle or black crystal. Sigils are often associated as a spiral (clockwise for invoking and counterclockwise for banishing), or a solid black circle. I have an obsidian sphere on my altar to represent the void and its works marvelous for me. You can also use a a black feather or any dark trinket you wish. Or, if you’re someone who’s seen the void as white you may use that instead. One thing is certain though, black and white are the absence of color and with that i I n mind reflect void much better then actual colors tend to do.
What can magic do?
So now that we’ve covered how to summon void magick let’s move onto what that magick itself can be used for. This might surprise you but the answer is simple. Anything you want. Void magick is new and raw, unattached to anything and far more potent than the magick drawn from our physical world. Even more so than that which is taken from spirit world, or so most void practitioners believe. This means it can be worked and formed into anything your crafty heart desires. There are no limits to what you can do. No tools needed. Simple intuition and intension is all that is required, but tools can defiantly be beneficial. I would say to bless them specifically for working with void energy though. This allows their physical energy to draw on the void more easily and thus becomes a much more efficient tool.
Spirit Beings & Void
Spirit beings like guides and deity are also often associated with the void and its magick. Although, just like every form of spirit work in paganism, this two is unique to the individual. Some believe that spirits visit the void but don’t live there while others believe the opposite. They see their respective god as a dweller of the void and as such when they call upon them, they also call upon the potency of the magick as well.
Another lesser known practice, even within the void magick community is the use of void spirit guides. These are spirits that are said to take the form of an animal of some sort most often. Usually a real world animal but there are those that have claimed theirs have taken the form of a fantasy creature, or even something far more eldritch in design. Whatever form they are often said to be black in color. Those who have them say they aid them by bringing void energy to their craft or even guiding them when they astral travel. Essentially they offer all the same perks as any other spirit guide would they just use void energy. To obtain such a guide is like any other method. Meditation, and intention of reaching out are the key. Most recommend connecting to the void in you meditative gnosis as you call out to one. Making offerings can also help in this bonding process.
Misconceptions
Like all things in life people are bound to have some misunderstandings about the void. We must remember that void magick is a concept often used in games and dark fantasy. So there are quite a bit of misconceptions that are derived from the impressionable and mystified minds that long to explore paganism. Please be aware that there is a line between fantasy and reality. So many new witches want the fantasy aspects to be more real and as cool as some of them may sound they just aren’t naturally found in our world. Void magick is subject to quite a plethora of these sorts of things but I’ve tried to condense them down into only a few categories for reader convenience.
• Prerequisites •
You do not need anything to begin working with void. You don’t have to master some ancient ritual, you don’t have to be marked by a specific god, you don’t have to be blessed in anyway, and you don’t need to partake of any specially selected prerequisites before hand. Anyone can work with void regardless of race, gender, orientation, background, etc. You simply need only your intention.
• Special Powers •
I’m sorry to say this somewhat harshly but, you’re not a special snowflake with extraordinary gifts that surpass everyone else. You’re just as much a witch as any other. Working with the void is drawing a different kind of energy from a different kind of place and while that energy can give a nice magical boost to spell work it doesn’t grant you anything super human. Everything you can do with void so can everyone else. Furthermore, witches draw their energy from whatever place feel right for them. Just because you draw yours from the void doesn’t meant you’re anymore powerful then anyone else. Don’t let yourself get a swelled head.
• Evil Elements •
Void is as a part of our world as anything else found in nature. It is a neural force if anything, and like all magick becomes positive or negative based on the witch that is using it. Standing alone it isn’t evil or dangerous. It doesn’t exist to create cataclysm or destruction. It exists because nature exists that is all.

Remember, void magick is an experience unique to the individual. One persons experience won’t always reflect another’s. Different people have different beliefs and thus varying perceptions to utilize what the void has to offer. Below are some links to further reading for those interested.

Well, here's the start of my series on the family tree of the Greek Gods. Most of my info will be coming from whatever I find on wikipedia or through google, although I might throw in some of my own personal opinions and interpretations too (but feel free to reblog and add things if you feel I missed something):
The first three deities to come into existence were Chaos, Gaia and Tartarus. Or as Wikipedia calls them: The Void, The Earth and The Abyss.
Chaos then had two children, Erebus and Nyx. Erebus and Nyx are also husband and wife, so that's weird. But I suppose they were some of the only people in existence at that time, so they kind of had to rely on each other. From them, Erebus and Nyx would have many children of their own.
Together with Erebus, Nyx gives birth to Aether and Hemera. I wonder how mother and daughter got along, since Nyx and Hemera were literally the personifications of Night and Day. Maybe they're the reason we have that saying, huh?
Anyway, Nyx also gave birth on her own. Without any father, Nyx gives birth to many children. According to Wikipedia, her children included Thanatos and his twin brother Hypnos, Nemesis, Eris, Momus, Moros, Philotes, Geras, Oizys, Apate, Charon and The Fates. All of these were her children, which technically means Charon is older than his boss. Strange how things work out like that, huh? I guess seniority isn't really a concept amongst the gods.
Anyways, this is getting a bit long. So stay tuned for part 2, when I can hopefully turn away from Nyx and turn towards Gaia.

I think it's very obvious I'm a Genshin enjoyer, but also I must mention I'm an avid Inazuma Eleven enjoyer too, and I will never get over the fact we have a nation literally named "Inazuma" (I know it's because it's the Electro nation, but still...let me be unu) so...how come Inazuma Genshin AU isn't a thing?? It probably is but I haven't seen much about it. Genshin has an element system and so does Inazuma Eleven, Archons can equal to keshin right? Or maybe the Go coaches? Imagine Endou or Kidou as Archons–
Ahem...wait, you must be wondering (sadly, I think you're not), who's this random person? Howdy, I'm Coco/Mimi, and you are watching me yap and gnaw at this AU's messy concept because I can't write to help myself (because English isn't my first language, sorry) and I'm in no way cohesive nor make much sense most of the time while trying to explain stuff.
Now let's get back on track under the cut...
Tumblr media
When I say Inazuma Eleven Genshin AU I don't mean that it should follow the original plot, because who could even be Aether and Lumine??? But conceptually the Visions, nations and Archons just click to me for Inazuma Eleven, somehow (and if it doesn't you'll have to pry this AU from my wimpy, damp hands)!! Besides, most hissatsus could be translated to elemental powers so they can keep them even in Genshin (some of them at least) and it'd still work.
Before I dive into this any further, for those fans of Inazuma who are unfamiliar with Genshin, if you're wondering how much of the lore/basics you need to know to understand this, don't worry, not much really...i think?. I won't say anything that's not like very well-known regarding Genshin and/or common knowledge about it, any other thing I'll try to badly explain it without losing the flow (this is a mess, so spoiler: that's not likely to happen, i'm so sorry).
For any fan of Genshin who ended up here without knowing much about Inazuma Eleven... I'm not going to tag this under the Genshin fandom, because without context of Inazuma Eleven this will be even more of a bigger wall of nonsensical text.
For the sake of making this somewhat understandable I'll separate it into different topics, it won't make it more organized but at least it would be split into parts so no one gets (more) lost + with cute pastel dividers to try and be aesthetic about it...
Also I can't promise this is spoiler free, I doubt it so if you don't want spoilers for Genshin and/or Inazuma Eleven I think you should stop here.
Tumblr media
꒰ The General Plot of this AU kinda ꒱
As I mentioned above, I don't think this AU can or needs to follow the original plot for Genshin, at least not the one with Aether and Lumine because again, I don't know who could fit the role so let's just say this is an AU who only grabs the concepts of Genshin (set in Teyvat, 7 elements and nations, Archons, visions, The Abyss, etc) and throws Inazuma Eleven characters into the setting.
However, some things make sense to me and I think can be equated to certain events in Inazuma Eleven but tbh, I don't even know which timeline would this follow. For example, Fatui being akin to Teikoku, and Kageyama Reiji being the Cryo Archon could fit. But also the Fatui sound a lot like they could be the equivalent of Fifth Sector, and the SEEDs are the Harbingers.
That's why I say I have no idea really what timeline this could follow, personally when this nonsense came to me while daydreaming I thought of it being set on the Inazuma Eleven Go timeline because idk, in Genshin the first element the player gets is Anemo (wind), and who other than Tenma could be both a protagonist and had an Anemo vision? But I won't jump into the vision headcanons yet.
So I think if that's the case, maybe The Fatui were indeed the whole of Teikoku. Archons are deities, ok, but one can ascend to become an Archon, so my take on Kageyama Reiji being the Cryo Archon stays but...what if he died like what supposedly happened in Galaxy? Basically...Kageyama was the Archon, but died, and who could succeed him? Well, I was thinking Kidou could, therefore that would make him the new Cryo Archon on Tenma's timeline.
But if the Fifth Sector is like the Fatui (somewhat, it's just because they're the main "evil organization"), and Fifth Sector was something created by Goenji, why would he bring back a group that's so related to Archon!Kageyama?
Also the whole Aliea incident could be tied to the Abyss Order or something, because the Aliea Stone and the Abyss corrupt people.
So yeah, that's what I mean with "it should follow the original plot yet not exactly". But I'm not that meticulous to actually try and make this make sense.
I still support my version where this AU is set during the Go timeline, but that's because I'm biased towards Tenma (and because Endou as an Archon sounds fun to me).
Tumblr media
꒰ Everyone has Japanese names + why I won't use the dub ones ꒱
As you may have noticed by now, I'm using exclusively the original japanese names, nor the dub ones. This part is mainly a quick explanation about why I would refer to them with those names in the rest of the post about the AU.
Even though in Genshin there are 7 Nations based on mash-ups of different cultures (Fontaine is France + England, if I recall correctly, but basically you get what I mean) and characters are named accordingly, I physically can't use (nor recall all) the dub names, so let's just assume that while everyone here will be referred with Japanese names, they may be from different nations.
But whoever decides to develop this whole idea can do whatever, I just ask you to please, throw the link to me so I can read/see it because I'd love to >3<
Tumblr media
꒰ Genshin Elements vs Inazuma Elements ꒱
I'm not going to develop this much...I hope??
I'm just going to mention that Elements in Inazuma are a beautiful mess (Wind encapsulates Ice, and Wood element somehow is tied to Darkness and Space...and I don't even know why???), but honestly I don't see logic (not much at least) trying to give the characters the same element they have in the games.
How am I supposed to translate the fact Hikaru uses Wood element? Cryo? Dendro because it's literally Plant so Plant = Wood? But his hissatsus are clearly Darkness and/or Space themed so I don't see how that fits.
I have read countless theories regarding the criteria to give someone a certain Vision, most of them revolve around ambitions or desires strong enough that Celestia acknowledges the individual who has them. I like the theories though, and it somehow makes sense even if it's not something set in stone (yet), so I guess we can still follow it a bit. I'd explain any theory but some are lenghty to sum them up, at least I, myself, can't.
Now with Inazuma Eleven. It doesn't have a similar elemental assignation system (again, there's Wood encapsulates Music, Space, Darkness and so on, while Genshin has just plain Dendro element for Plant powers) so I can't really give them their exact element + I think some visions' descriptions fit some characters that coincidentally don't have that same element in the canon source.
Who are the Archons though? Once again, I don't know, this whole post is a big "I have this idea, is making me tweak and roll, but I have no clue on who is what or what is who." so yep.
At some point I thought Daisuke Endou could have done the same as Zhongli. He was the Geo Archon and faked his dead (like in Inazuma, you know?) but also the idea of Endou being a normal human and ascending to Archonhood sounds epic, because he was a normal guy on the Inazuma Eleven series but upon reaching Inazuma Eleven Go he's a whole icon for the rest of it, he's the basis of new Raimon and now Tenma carries the torch.
Yes, I don't know what to do to develop this, moving on to the following point to tackle...
Tumblr media
꒰ Aliea Stone = Abyssal Power? and much more ꒱
This is going to be long because to address this I need to explain Genshin stuff to show how it makes some sort of connection (to little delulu me, at least).
First off what is 'The Abyss' aka 'The Void' and to some extent Khaenri'ah, because both are tied deeply.
The Abyss originated because Celestia destroyed Khaenri'ah, which was a former nation of Teyvat without a deity (because they didn't need one (?)). Also the Abyss wants to destroy and/or corrupt all the other nations (the main 7 Nations) in revenge.
But according to the wiki it refers to four different things too, which are interconnected. However, I'll use just two mainly when referring to it: The Abyss as one of the Three Realms and the region beneath (and beyond) Teyvat that's considered a different world entirely.
To sum it up badly, The Abyss I'm talking about was a nation but became what it is nowadays after its destruction.
Why do I relate it to the Aliea though? Because Abyss power is purple, or at least that's the main color we can see in the Abyss' Mages floating runes and most importantly: the upside down corrupted statue of The Seven.
The whole purple power that corrupts people it's very reminiscent to the Aliea Meteorite, who glows in purple and alters the mind of people who use its power (just look back at what it did to Kazemaru).
But I did mention The Abyss is considered part of 'The Three Realms'...well, this section isn't also called "and much more" for nothing, because I'll have to bring Desuta and Sein into this AU...
You may not remember them, but don't worry my sweet little jellyfish. So...remember when Inazuma Japan had a match against literal angels and devils because Haruna and Rika were abducted by them? Hope this has unlocked a few memories from that chapter.
The Three Realms in Genshin are basically The Human Realm, The Light Realm and The Void Realm.
In the past The Void and The Light existed opposite to each other until the Human Realm was created.
In any case, the point is that The Void Realm could be akin to Desuta and his team, the Makai Gundan Z. and The Light Realm would be Sein and his team. Because, you know, Dark Void vs Light dynamic.
Also we have the Abyss Order right? That should have its own equal thing but I couldn't come up with anything, at least not Inazuma Eleven related.
Tumblr media
꒰ Genshin characters that remind me of Inazuma Eleven ones ꒱
For no particular reason, maybe vibes, maybe personality idk. This doesn't mean I'd give them the same visions, nation, and/or species but rather that I find parallelisms between them somehow.
However, my fish brain can't pinpoint all the similarities they have and it's not good at analyzing. Also, I'll be mentioning from most seasons (if needed, also Ares/Orion timeline).
Charlotte and Haruna. Yes, it's probably the camera/reporter thing they have going on.
Scaramouche/Kunikuzushi and Kariya. Trust issues, both are very cat-like and they are most likely sassy (Scaranation, please don't chase me down, I know he has a lot of depth, I just tried to be extremely concise about it)
If you prefer, I also consider Scaramouche could have parallelisms with Fudou.
Dottore/Capitano and Kageyama Reiji. It's the unapologetically evil guy vibe I guess.
Bennett and Endou. I feel like these two have an unyielding positivism, sometimes they can get overtaken by doubts about themselves but on the end, they're sweet guys that deserve happiness.
Alternatively, Bennett and Tachimukai also work.
Thoma and Taiyou. Both of them have very warm vibes, they're rays of sunshine but at the same time I think both know more than what they let on. Also it's canon that both are popular.
Sucrose and Hayami. It's the glasses indeed, but also both of them are intelligent individuals who seem kinda shy or easily flustered.
Keqing and Natsumi. It gets easily overshadowed in Go!, but we should always keep on mind that Natsumi is incredibly smart (didn't she solve a case that was left on the drawers by the police or something?). Also, they both have kind of a tsundere-like attitude.
Ningguang and Koumei. Both of them are elegant, powerful and smart women.
On a side note, we have our own iteration of Koumei in Genshin. Koumei is Kongming, aka Zhuge Liang, and Kokomi has a reference to Zhuge Liang in her constellation.
Also not a comparison in itself but dragons who can take human form exists in Teyvat. Hakuryuu being one would make sense.
Amber and Nae. Cute bunny-themed girls, spirited and extroverted. Amber is excellent at gliding, Nae was the best runner in the track team.
Dehya and Midori. Fiery, untamable and strong girls. Midori somehow fits Dehya's title "Flame-Mane".
Shenhe and Minori. Both of them seem cold at first, and have a serious deadpan expression. However, Shenhe has quite a temper and so does Minori when she's not being possessed by Potomuri.
Yaoyao and Shinsuke. Small and warm-hearted balls of sunshine, they care deeply about those around them.
Raiden Ei and Tatsuya/Hiroto Kiyama. Albeit not quite the same, their situations are similar in the fact they ended up taking the position of their respective siblings (because yes, I consider Tatsuya and Hiroto brothers), and physically look like them (I'm not taking into account how grown-up Hiroto Kira looks in Ares/Orion. Both Hiroto and Tatsuya looked a lot like each other when they were younger in the og series).
Tumblr media
꒰ Some Vision Headcanons ꒱
I want to think if someone read through this was at least to get to this part. I won't say my Headcanons on who gets which Vision are permanent (I'm always willing to listen to suggestions or just read your own Headcanons), they are open to change if I reconsider some.
And as I said above, not all of the characters I'll mention have a Vision that matches their canon element in-game.
Also I'll be choosing some based on the theories regarding what criteria do the Archons follow to hand out the Visions. I'll explain it (badly and super simple) to make it more understandable.
Credits to this post because it's what made sense to me for the Vision's criteria. At the same time, since it's rather ambiguous it makes sorting them somewhat easier.
► Anemo: Had past failures, struggles or suffered from unspecified problems, maybe a loss of some kind. Hardworkers with a sense of duty who do –or prefer to do– their own thing and follow their own pace.
► Geo: Care and worry deeply about others. Could take the lead in certain specific situations based on their talents. Rather single-minded and/or simple-headed. Very committed to what they believe or want.
► Electro: Lonely people or they just have a small circle of interactions. Some of their life matters could be too important that they affect other's lives. Prone to awkwardness or second-guessing themselves. Sometimes quirky or just unique, they may have accomplished great deeds.
► Dendro: Scholars or people oriented to knowledge. Good thinkers even in dire situations, sometimes creative. Some want to expand their field of knowledge and can get themselves in over their heads.
► Hydro: Highly specialize in certain skills or areas that others may not have or show. They're role models in what they do or strive to maintain it as such. Tend to weather their own hardships and seek excuses for it, wether they're self-sought hardships or not.
► Pyro: Ambitious people who will keep going even if others oppose them. This also applies to people who may hurt themselves in the process and fully acknowledge it, either for their own sake or because of others. Some keep people at arm's length, not always intentionally.
► Cryo: People who feel lost, specially after a life changing or impactful event on their lives. They may be stuck in the events of their past, so it influences what they live for or what they think they should do next. Some aspect of their life comes back or gets in the way of their goal.
I would also want to mention that while these may be criteria and I refer to them as such. I also believe the theory that says Archons will give out Visions based on each person's ambition/desire and of they support it. However, considering in this AU we don't have the same Archons and they may not have the same personalities as the originals, I decided to not follow that rule.
In addition, it is somewhat confirmed that it may not be that Visions follow a personality checklist to decide who should have which one. Apparently, Lisa's personality changed after receiving her Electro vision, and since it's always mentioned that stars guide the fates of Teyvat denizens (hence, constellations being a gameplay thing but also something important within Teyvat's beliefs, as shown with Mona being able to read people's lives/personalities on them), maybe Visions are also linked. Basically, we could conclude that Visions also shape someone's mind somehow, as mentioned in this post (which is rather old and doesn't feature Dendro, sadly). I recommend you also read the comments of that post to see further of my reasons for some of these headcanons.
But let's get into some Vision Headcanons, shall we? I'll try to be clean and make this in order but I don't know if I will be able to, and they're just a few because Inazuma has a lot a LOT of characters and I couldn't just think about every single one >.<
Tenma: I already said this but I'll also add it here because it's one of the Headcanons I refuse to change. Tenma gets Anemo vision just because wind is his thing, I always relate him to it regardless of wether it makes sense or not. I think he does fit the fact he's a hardworker but he goes at his own tempo, but what matters is the journey to reach any goal he has.
Taiyou: This boy gets a Pyro vision and you can't tell me that's unreasonable. He's the very definition of "will keep going even if it hurts him". Also going with the personality theory, I feel like Taiyou would take initiative of things (he's the captain of Arakumo after all) and openly expresses himself.
Kirino: I'd go for Electro vision for him, but this has a reason and that reason is Chrono Stone. Mainly the fact I thought it was very clear that Kirino has a tendency to doubt his actions or decisions, sometimes feeling like he's falling behind in regards of Shindou.
Shindou: I decided to give him Hydro, it makes sense to me and I think I can try to explain it. I wish the fact that he's a good pianist was brought up more in the anime, because it's one of the reasons I chose Hydro, since he comes off as your typical case of gifted child when it comes to music. I also think he's a role model to his teammates and strives to meet the expectations they may have about him.
Kurama: One of my fav characters, sadly we don't have much info about him but I tried my best to pick a vision for him. I ended up going for Cryo because of certain reasons. Kurama seems like a blunt person, but at the same time some episodes make me see him as someone who also doesn't expresses himself that much, like...he's not all that honest, but he's rather harsh in the process. Think of him like Diona or Eula, were they are fairly nice and caring but inevitably end up acting in a way that makes others perceive them as rude somehow, or just crabby (?).
Minaho: I'm bringing Minaho here just to at least mention Dendro (and because I like him a lot). Maybe he doesn't directly pursue knowledge but I have always perceived him as an extremely curious person that wants to uncover as much as he can, and that's somewhat tied to wanting to know. Also, owls are associated with wisdom and Minaho has an owl motif. I'm open to hearing thoughts about this though.
Akane: After considering it, I chose Anemo: for her. However, unlike Tenma, she's an Anemo: user not exactly because of accomplishing any journey or goal, but because I feel like she really does her own thing at her own pace and chooses that willingly. Most Anemo: users care more about the journey in itself, or have a recurring theme of freedom of choice. Akane overall expresses her interests very freely and doesn't seem to mind what others may think.
Goenji: Yet another one who getsPyro, because I feel like Goenji also has a bad tendency of being very stubborn and marching forward towards his own goals (mainly for other's sake) even if he gets hurt in the process. I think he'd definitely be a Diluc Case, were his personality doesn't exactly match the stereotype associated with most Pyro users (bubbly, energic and outgoing).
Endou: I would say he fits Geo, he has many of the traits mentioned on the theory. He's a very caring person overall even with rivals, I have always considered him simple-headed but with a clear goal and purpose somehow and it's commited to it. He's also a legit hardworker.
Kidou: He was hard to decide, and he's still one of the many I'll hear suggestions about. Anyways, I think he fits Cryo. AU wise he may have been a Cryo user even before meeting Kageyama Reiji and experiencing everything that entailed. I feel like Kidou works behind the scenes for strategies but that's an outloud secret somehow, he may come off like Shenhe or Rosaria at first because to me he has always seem a bit hard to approach, maybe the type of person you would define as stoic or something. Again, Kidou being a Cryo user isn't set in stone for me, I just wanted to make the break trio all have different elements.
Nosaka: I thought a bit about this but ultimately decided on Electro for him. Mainly, because Nosaka seems like unique in some sort of way, not only that but he has accomplished things to be able to stand out as "the tactical emperor" after all. Also, I feel like, despite how popular he may be, he has a small group of friends.
Fuyuka: I think Cryo is fitting for her, which is ironic considering that she lost her memories of her past, and Cryo users may be stuck in events from their past. However, Cryo users also have self-contradiction as a common theme. In Fuyuka's case I think her self-contradiction is the fact that the shocking event of her past shaped how she is now but at the same time she can't recall it. Also, she fits the stereotype of Cryo users being introverted.
Tumblr media
And this concludes this long, messy, nonsensical but well-intended post, made with love but not much logic (and probably some grammar mistake I overlooked somewhere). If you reached this point, thank you very much for trying to pay attention and understand my chaotic rambling and Genshin fixation n.n ♡
This is just the outline of what I think this could develop into. I have messy headcanons that I couldn't really fit here nor wanted to as to not made this even longer, like races such as the Katzlein or Adepti, I may post them randomly, who knows? Keep in mind a lot of this was biased or subjective so not everything has factual points to support my ideas about it. In any case, my asks are always open if you want to throw in ideas or suggestions or just want to say anything at all.

Dangan Impact - Con. 2
Okay so purely because it's given on a silver platter, Makoto and Komaru would be Aether and Lumine. So they're able to have affinities with all the elemental powers in Teyvat. (And there's an Abyss Prince/Princess concept lying somewhere in there but that's for next time)
But what about our lovely other protags?
So I didn't go in detail in Con. 1 but Hajime's a Cryo boy and it's because he's really going through it. Just thought of this so apologies if it's messy, but Hajime really admires people who have a Vision but he's just a "normal guy". When an opportunity arises to get that power he is REALLY torn. On one hand he knows he didn't do anything to deserve it and on the other hand he's being given the opportunity of a lifetime. Heck, the seller is even offering lots of Mora to run experiments so that his body can optimally manage a Vision. He didn't even know that was necessary.
Turns out it's very physically grueling after all and they keep adjusting things but he's working toward it for the Vision: for the ability to help others, have cool powers, and be more than average. He gets deeper and deeper in the rabbit hole that is the Fatui and suddenly he's some pawn that fights and fights against random Skirmishers while his "Vision" threatens to tear him apart. Hajime is so dead tired and they keep giving him different elements. It's at this point he knows they're fake- "Delusions" they were called- and he's really had enough with the Harbinger that's experimented on him.
He wants out, but where can he go? Why leave? They won't let him. They will chase him for the rest of his life, or annihilate him there, if they felt so inclined. So he uses his Delusions to fight his way out. The compound he was kept in has researchers and Fatui henchpeople around, and he kills them before destroying the compound with everything he has. His muscles scream, his body aches, but he actually feels sunlight.
("Let him leave." Someone said, unbeknownst to him. "It's more important he stays alive.")
The moment he's out, he ignores all his Delusions and runs and runs and keeps running even when he's fallen from sheer exhaustion, his arms refusing to move another bit. His feet are so sore they've become numb. Trees and grass morph into just green and more green.
He passes out.
When he wakes up, he feels something cold in his hand and sees the cryo symbol and wings and IMMEDIATELY yeets the damn thing. Nope nope nope. He is NOT dealing with that. Too damn late, Vision, not after all this bullshit. The unfairness is staggering.
He destroys all the Delusions he had on him. The Vision though, he goes back to grab but pockets it and vows to never use it. He is "just a normal guy" whenever anyone asks the stranger with spiky, brown hair.

Note
msmsksj m so normal rn !! >/////< s a bit long s'be warned !! ^_^
Okayokay- so there are these twins, Lumine n Aether, the game kinda lets yu pick which twin you want, but for simplicity sakes m gonna use Aether as the MC.
The twins r interstellar travelers, meanin they travel through different worlds together. They reach Teyvat n try to leave, but an Unknown God doesn't let em and separate the twins.
Fast forward 500 years, Aether wakes up n fishes this weird floating creature (that looks oddly similar to the Unknown God, very suspicious) out of the ocean. Her name is Paimon, and she decides to be Aether's (everyone calls him Traveler) guide and help him find his sister.
They make it t' Mondstat, a place based on Germany to see if she's (Lumine) there, and to meet the God of freedom, Barbatos. They don't, but they solve the storms that were reigning over due to Barbatos' (or Venti since that's the name he disguises himself under) pet dragon getting corrupted by the Abyss Order (remember that name beaches they're very important).
We learn that all Archons have this silly little chess piece looking thing called a Gnosis, which connects them to Celestia (basically kinda like Genshin's version of heaven, it's where the heavenly principles stays, she's Genshin's version of God). The Cryo (Ice) archon wants all the Gnosis' to overthrow the heavenly principles (if my lore knowledge s servin me correctly!!)
Traveler n Paimon decide to visit all the nations to ask the archon's if they know where Lumine went. The entire journey is pretty much same old same old until they meet Dainsleif.
Dansleif is the Twilight Sword (tip top Military man !!) who lived in a nation called Khaenri'ah. Dainsleif reveals that he was close go Lumine, and after the destruction of his home nation (The heavenly principles & the archons did because Khaenri'ah was a nation without a God, and they were gettin too advanced for their own good) they traveled together until Lumine got into contact with the Abyss Order, and became the Abyss Princess.
She tells Aether that the world of Teyvat isn't a nice/safe space, and that she'll find him when she's taken over Celestia. That he's come too late, and that they've always had enough time.
He continues searching through Teyvat with Paimon, saving nations and talking to Archon's who don't tell him even the finest bit of information about his sister, until they reach Sumeru.
[For base knowledge, the known Archons are: Barbatos (Venti), God of freedom. Morax (Zhongli), God of contracts/commerce. Beelzebul (Raiden Ei), God of Eternity. Greater Lord Rukkhadevata (Sumeru's old God, who is dead during the current timeline of Genshin)/ Lesser Lord Kusanali (Nahida), God of wisdom. And Focalors (Furina), God of Justice.]
Nahida tells the traveler that Lumine is a part of Irminsul (basically government files) and that she belongs to Teyvat, which shouldn't be possible because Aether isn't a part of Irminsul, and they got to Teyvat the same way/time.
Nothing has been said about Lumine in Fontaine (the newest reigon) so that's basically it.
Jus a disclaimer that somethings might not be 100% accurate, I typed all this from the top of m head (0^ ^0) hopefully this helps though!!
f you're confused about anythin' m always here t'answer!! :33
ty! i appreciate the help. bc omg that game is so fucking complicated.
what about fontaine lore in general? and also, i keep getting different reasons as to why Khaenri'ah was destroyed. idk which one it is 😭
but ty! i do wonder what exactly is the abyss order? there's so many concepts i dont get 😖

Abyss (Childe/Tartaglia/Ajax x fem!Reader)
Im still trying to understand the concept of angst even though i cant-
Warnings:Death, suicide, survivors guilt, trauma, ptsd
Angst w/out comfort (attempted)
a little bit of aether <3
Everything is platonic in this story. theres no romantic Childe x aether
Summary: Young childe with his friend, [name]. And into the abyss they fell. (all i know is that childe fell into the abyss when he was 14)
"[name]! wake up!" Ajax frantically shook you. "Everything hurts Ajax...Where did we fall?" you sat up holding your head.
"I don't know but we need to get help immediately! Your head-its bleeding!" He took his scarf off and wrapped it around your head. "D-Don't worry [name] ill protect us" He assured you.
--
"Grahh!" A monster swung their bat towards you as you blocked their attack and killed it. Picking up its weapon, you threw it to the larger monster whom was fighting ajax. "Phew! Thanks [name]" He smiled towards you. At least you guys had each other in this place.
--
This...'floor' it was different. darker. quieter. "Ajax?...this place seems a bit different...maybe we should just fight the weaker ones to build strength?.."
"C'mon it'll be fine! I'll protect us if anything goes wrong."
"Alright.."
And it was different. new enemies fought the two of you. it was difficult. but, no worries, Ajax would protect you.
--
In the midst of battle, from the corner of your eye, you saw a mitachurl throw a pyro slime at ajax. You took your crossbow and fired towards the pyro slime in the air. 'I hit it!' you thought, excited. You turned around to face the electro abyss mage. You had gained a dendro vision while childe gained a hydro one. It was all going well until the electro abyss mage unleashed its ring of electricity around and doing so, electrifying you. "[name]!" Ajax finished off the rest of the enemies and rushed to you, lying on the ground.
It was hard to breath, think, feel. Too much for a 14 year old to handle. You were shaking as you reached your hand out to grab ajax. You cried in his arms. "It hurts-It hurts so much! Why us?!" You sobbed, staining his shoulder with salty tears. "I-I'm sorry [name], I said I'd protect you and I didn't! I'm so sorry please forgive me!"
The two of you decided to take a break, for you to recover. After your physical health got better you decided to start going up the floors again.
--
Floor 11-3. You guys were almost there. 'just a bit more!' you thought. You hadn't been facing any sort of electro enemies so far. "Aaaand cleared!" You two high-fived each other. "We're almost out [name]! I can feel it!" he said excitedly. You two climbed the stairs to reach the 12th floor. And then you saw it. An electro abyss lector. Fuck. You were shaking, paralyzed with fear. "Ajax-" But he didn't hear you. Rushing in to the battle he started attacking.
You couldn't move. But you have to. hydro wouldn't be a big help with destroying its shield. 'get a grip!' you slapped your face as you rushed in.
Attack. Attack. Attack. Don't stop.
You can't stop.
You were breathing heavily as you were attacking the lector. 'i cant stop' you pushed yourself to continue. your vision was getting blurry as it got harder and harder to breathe. You suddenly stopped attacking and collapsed to the floor. 'I cant-I cant breathe! Help, anyone get me out of this-'
The abyss is not for the weak. Thus, in your moment of weakness, the lector attacked with a mighty bolt of electricity.
"Heuk-" You spit out blood. It hurt so much. worse than the abyss mage. you were loosing your vision and the sound around you became muffled. 'i cant do this anymore...' a tear escaped your eye. if only you were stronger, you'd be alive.
--
Three months in the abyss were equivalent to three days in Teyvat. A boy came out after falling in the abyss. There was only one.
--
'It should've been me. If i didn't suggest exploring. If i waited for [name] to get better. If i had protected her well.' Ajax-Tartaglia's eyes were dull. He laughed bitterly. What is his reason to live now?
--
It was awful when he received an electro delusion. The same element that...killed his best friend. But how could he reject the Tsaritsa?
--
Oh...how Aether reminded him of you. And when his journey reached Sumeru, the two crossed paths again. But something was different. "Aether, comrade, why are you avoiding me?"
"You have...an electro delusion." Both had flashbacks to awful encounters with electro. "Aether, what happened?"
"in inazuma, i was...struck. by lightning." Ah. "I see." Silence washed over their restaurant table. "I'm sorry-I- I need to go."
A moment of weakness.
Childe collapsed onto the wall as he held his chest. It was like he was back in that very moment.
--
"NO! [NAME]! You have to wake up! Please you can't leave me here by myself!"
But. It was too late. You had already breathed your last breath.
--
'It should've been me.'
--------------
Well that was a terrible attempt at angst. um

THE GROUND THAT BREATHES,
[what is known about the origins of skulk]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ender/abyssal mesmur is always this violet color of sorts, abyssal mesmur lines the entirety of the end realm (the alchemical material i use to define enderborns is the omen, or the symbol of death.)
For someone to travel from the overworld to the end, it isnt as simple as jumping the realm, as the three primary realms are THE AETHER, THE OVERWORLD, and THE NETHER. Between these three realms, theres the concept of ‘in between realms’ you travel through before getting spat out in the either aether or nether.
The END was not made out of the three primes when the eons first created existence, it was made after as the juxtaposition of all three of those realms:
aether, overworld,nether / end
to travel to any other realm, you pass through whats called THE TWILIGHT, which is a sort of limbo or the in between realm.
The twilight is depicted alot with these kind of, corrupted trees.
in the overworld, with the first round of people that were made, there was a group of people that believed greatly in the idea of ‘the end’ or ‘the place after death’
(Side note: the end while originally made for pandora, the goddess of death—isnt really ‘an afterlife’, so souls dont go there when they die but people worship it as the afterlife)
These groups of people were shunned out from kingdoms and villages for rejecting the eons or the other gods as their gods in favor of a ‘banished dragon’ that they dont even know actually exist.
These people were cursed by the jealous sun god who turned these peoples skins gray under the sunlight and made them kinda burn in the sun (lol). These people would be later reknowned as THE PILLAGERS.
The pillagers retreated to caves and the underground, creating a society beneath the crust and within the dark and worshipping it as the closest thing theyll get to ‘the end’. They were OBSESSED with trying to become endermen themselves or obtain ender mesmur of their own. All the gods had their own subjects they gifted attributes too— (like mooshrooms who inherit mooshroom-like physical attributes and abilities, or water ppl ect, im assuming u know abt the origins mod yeah that)
The pillagers wanted to be blessed by the ender dragon
Like a little too desperately it was kind of insane like they are literally a cult it was CUHHRAAAZYY.
theres alot i could go into depth abt with the pillagers but the biggest thing u gotta gather is they figured out alchemy because the alchemy god alchaeus is a bitch and wanted to piss the sun god off so he showed the pillagers how to kind of do things they thought was only possible with mesmur. Like turning stone to gold. Or water to lava. Or how to jump realms with alchemy.
They grew so obsessed w their discovery, they first figured out how to travel to the nether without a gods aid by making a portal with obsidian*.
THE OVERWORLD [salt] , THE AETHER [sulfur] , THE NETHER [mercury]
-the three alchemical primes are: salt, sulfur, and mercury.
-when the eons created beings, they created them from the according materials of each primes. So netherborns are made up from the alchemy of mercury, aetherborns with sulfur, and the overworld with salt.
It’s ineresting to note that in alchemy, it was highly believed and thought that mercury could be used to traverse from between life and death.
They wanted to be ‘enderborn’ really badly and they thought assimilating themselves with ender mesmur would help them achieve that, bc they found out with mesmur, you can actually
Rewrite someones biological alchemy
through alchaeus’ teachings, they found out how to literally turn like, a person from the overworld into a netherborn—which will be one of the first travesties to happen from pillager experiments.
when some of the pillagers travelled to the nether, passing through to another realm doesnt come without consequences.
For a being of another alchemical race, they arent MADE for the mesmur properties of other realms. For example, endermen are not made to thrive in the overworld, and they literally burn in water.
Or water literally cant exist in the nether, and in people they ARE like 70% water, but also salt stays absolutely separate from mercury
And i could go into depth explaining this more, but a bunch of the pillagers that came to the nether eventually brutally turned into netherborns by being turned into hoglins.
obviously this was an issue, but the pillagers/pillager cult was desperate to find a passage to the end somehow, and so they kinda got more insane and tried doing more freak ass human experiment stuff and errr alot of the hoglins they experimented on ended up turning into what are now known as the zombie piglins.
But they find a breakthrough and figure that maybe they can find their solution in the inbetween of the overworld and the nether —the twilight
and here comes: steve.
When steve was a teen and growing, he was known for being this like amazing hero type of guy that was great at adventuring and exploring and fighting ect— (steve is LITERALLY the player character, or in this universe ‘a prophecy’ who had everything stolen from him)
Steve, like every other wives tale preaches abt, had a goal to find the ended dragon. (Like vanilla minecraft haha)
While exploring the caves, until he ventures into the deep dark, he stumbles upon the pillagers. The pillagers offer him the world,
“We can help you kill the ender dragon”
‘But why would they want to KILL the enderdragon? Wasnt their whole purpose and being made from worshipping it?’
Theres a strange psychological fixation, where incredibly mentally unwell people will develop the idea that they need to kill the being or person they are most infatuated with to be closer to them.
[A real example of this is the guy who tried to kill bjork and then himself bc he though theyd genuinely be together that way, honestly the best analogy i could think of ]
The pillagers, through their adoration and obsession began to feel even more obsessive and just straight up mad.
Sometimes, not often—pillagers would be seen above ground to be ransacking and killing villages for materials and fresh bodies for experimenting ect, but whats obviously shown is that theyre incredibly bloodthirsty, non amicable and dangerous people
Steve, knows all this and has also killed so many of their people, but at this point hes so young, being only like 19-24 and blinded by a glory hes been told all his life was deserved.
This ‘blackout’ was the day the ‘ritual’ took place where the pillagers attempted to essentially shove steves body through the twilight to the other side of the three primes all the way to the end.
It somewhat works,
Steve reaches the end. He does his business and slaughters the enderdragon Kh’oer and in agony grew horns from atop his head,
Steve is the first ever mortal to kill a god. The fucking ENDERDRAGON no less. (This in theory should be impossible but i can explain this event another time.)
When steve smirks to himself and looks down at his hands to try and use ender mesmur, they shine violet and he knows hes succeeded. He goes through the portal again, but the issue is: the intense ritual it took on the other side to get him through,
There was no way to perform the ritual here to get him back. So it goes wrong,
when steve travels back through the twilight, the mesmur and battling alchemy in his body panics and mutates, the two primes already mixing was a hydrogen bomb waiting to happen—but the stress of also passing through two realms that are absurdly incompatible with enderborn alchemy
(The end and enderborns were made separate from the three primes with no intention of mixing over. The eons and pandora banished the enderdragons to the end because and so they can never cross over and cause chaos, so steve isnt doing too hot rn)
His body begina to ‘corrupt’ in a way,
[SKULK]
the game itself never clarifies exactly what ‘skulk’ or the deep dark is. Its notable however, that the ‘skulk’ blocks seem to be tied somehow with souls being embedded in it, explained by how skulk drop exp when you mine it, and the catalysis enchantment turns the ground around you into skulk,
The way i describe it, is a type of mesmur that CORRUPTS the mesmur in life. This new corrupt mesmur, looks like a blue-ish teal. The nethers mesmur is red, while the ends is violet—this new mesmur is a strange halfway mix of the two.
this corrupt mesmur—later called ‘skulk’, FFUUUUUCCCKKKSSS up steves body, like his stomach bursts open because his body cant handle everything happening at the moment, and his face bursts too, his horns and arms and legs and everything else looks something akin to a rotten tree, or a mutated alien-like corpse being outgrown by rotting plants.
When steve—now AHRIMAN, comes back through the other side of the portal, all hell breaks loose.
He begins killing like wild and ‘stealing the souls’ of the pillagers (the inside of the wardens stomach is seen to be filled with souls)
And corrupting everything else around him, everything in that cave, in the DEEP DARK of the cave becomes a cesspool of people dying left and right.
This pillager kingdom, now abandoned and left in ruin is called ‘the ancient city’ in the centuries after, but until the time of heros descent into the overworld, this is the cataclysmic origin of the warden and the ‘blackout’ which is the birth of the deep dark.
But theres also another story to this—i forgot to mention, while ahriman is also a technical dragon, he wasnt the only ‘dragon’ to come from the deep dark.
The other dragon, while not as renarkable or anything as Ahriman, would be the ouroboros: the failed dragon experiment
before meeting steve, the pillagers found out they could shove through the twilight because of the ouroboros human experiment.
They wanted to know if they could in theory, fuse a person, from all three primes together to make them ‘mediate’ through whichever realm they wanted.
[A pig head, a birds head, and a cows head. ]
They created an aetherborn, a netherborn, and kidnapped a random bloomborn (overworld ppl born in forests and fields, like mooblooms or mooshrooms)
And kinda 💀 human centipeded them…… together………….. and pushed them back and forth through realms and the result was a horribly mutated abomination that all fused into one being with three conciousnesses in agony.
this being, filled with hate and agony and a product of three kinds of mesmur coursing through it was able to kill one of the dragons residing in the twilight
And the creature itself is now known as the ouroboros, a freak of nature and existence itself
Tumblr media
[ALSO!! Later on, ahriman or the warden is sought out by the court of swords bc theres been an epidemic of finding skulk on the surface and when eirene finds the warden she puts a bunch of enchantments on him to make him more ‘human’ esque looking and dumb down his powers a whole deal and make him more concious but not quite as to when he was ‘steve’]

@adenial : what if hespspspsppss went a little overboard with sapping pothos' aether and came back to his senses while pothos was a panting, probably almost dying, mess? huh?
Tumblr media
his gaze, it was the abyss of obsidian and violaceous, barren, unfilled... FAMISHED. lost in an hypnotic rapture, HESPEROS had POTHOS pinned to the wall, black marking adorned the HEMITHEOS's sickening colored skin, the trail of scales and plates would form if he were to fully transformed...
however, he was lost in between control and chaos. a turmoil which was slipping free with every fibers of his being. the aether, once it graced his tongue with its flavor, HESPEROS was lost. he had been starving himself for far too long and thus such action was a dangerous test he had no intention of pursuing.
to feed... it was a concept still all too new to him... and the more he could push his hunger further back into his thoughts, the better he felt... that was until POTHOS gave him a scolding and insisted he fed on upon his aether.
which brought him back slightly when he finally detached his lips from that overbruised neck. the bloody and angry marks of very large fangs were left imprinted to that pale neck. ❝ P—POTHOS... ❞ he called to him softly, his soul seizing into his chest, it burned, it pinched, it hurt. the sight was appalling... that is until he tried to back away and realized to his sickening horror that his claws—no—talons had went through POTHOS's shoulders, holding him through the wall...
❝ no... ❞ choking, he was choking... of his saliva, on this beautiful soul's aether... the blood, it had spattered everywhere. ❝ POTHOS! ❞ he shrieked, the sound was more monster than man. tears, they began to pour down his cheeks. how... why...
too hungry, too brutal, too monstrous─what cannot be controlled must be contained, in PANDÆMONIUM.
❝ oh PHOTOS... what have i done!? I TOLD YOU, DID I NOT!? i belong in chains... like every MONSTERS! don't... don't you see!? ❞
❝ I AM THE MO̬̹̻͇ͅͅN͖̱̺ͬ͑̚S̖̩͈̭̪̲ͬ̑ͯ̊̈̚TE͙̠̞̳̪̬R... ❞

Genshin Animatic Concept or something cause I can't draw for shit.
Warning for dark Themes
Song : Hollywood's Dead
The basis for this concept is that Archons remain connected to their Gnosis to a degree even when seperated from it.
There are a few scenes I imagine for this, like something like lightning made of the Energy Dainsleif used cracking up through the skies towards Celestia in the opening, with scenes showing it bursting from the middles of cities we've been to until it reaches 'Hollywood's Dead', where it shifts to show them emerging from the Archons we've met (This part should be absolutely brutal).
Then for the next part starting from the 'In the Light' line we see Aether and Lumine with whichever you want to be the Abyss Sibling (I suggest Lumine to fit the song) having a vortex of that energy swirling in their hand surrounded by the Seven bejeweled buttplugs collectables.
I'd stay there and depict the next two sets of lines as the Traveler yellng at the Abyss Sibling, shifting away before 'I always fall for the same type'. For that I'd go to like a corrupted Albedo and Dainsleif collapsed on the ground. The 'Gangsters in Vegas' thing should be a shift to Childe with the next couple lines panning down to a dead Teucer.
For the next 'Hollywood's Dead' set we see peoples Visions shattering as the Energy bursts up from inside them.
The new 'Sickeningly Beautiful' iteration should have the walls collapse to show the Energy climbing to Celestia in the background of the Siblings arguing.
Don't have anything for the next couple lines but after the second 'Don't tell me' we shift to the Energy bursting from peoples bodies (Only those with Visions though), tearing upwards in thin bolts to join the main mass.
Then, for this last section we start with the Traveler flinching on the 'In the Light' line, before the Energy bursts from them too as the Abyss Sibling reaches out i horror. (This has to do with the Travelers own connection with the Archons through the Statues.)
Anyways that's all I've got. If you against expectation do something with this all I ask is that you send a link to me so I can watch it as well.

pork blood stew (do you see how much i love you?)
Aether and his sister had spent many, many millennia looking for a new world to call home. Every world had its own way of keeping track of the passage of time and celebrating events like birthdays. Wasn't it only natural that Aether would want to try out Teyvat's way for himself.
or: Aether attempts to cook his specialty dish for his friends. Ajax and Zhongli are sane enough to not let him cook enough food for 62 people without help.
Aether is wrapped with warmth as he wakes, the sunlight spilling into the room and his lovers' arms curled tightly around him. He slowly sits up and mourns the loss of their contact as he turns to appreciate their beauty– a god's long brunette hair splayed over the bed sheets and a living weapon's corded muscles snuggled in.
How lucky I am to witness this, he thinks. How lucky I am to witness you.

He and his sister had spent many, many millennia looking for a new world to call home. As strange as it is to do this without her, he still remembered her parting message: Once you reach the end of your journey as I did, you will see for yourself the truth of this world. Aether and Lumine were far too familiar with the concept of witnessing a world on the verge of collapse. Familiar with the concept of saying goodbye. And yet, Lumine had seemingly grown fond of Teyvat in particular and chose to entangle herself in its destiny of Abyssal schemes and Celestial thrones. Aether would have to understand that fondness, eventually. He had no choice. So he opened his heart up to the Teyvatans and befriended people that he knew he'd one day lose, that he'd already lost. He made the effort to witness their cultures and experience their practices for himself.

It is with this commitment in mind that he finds the strength to leave his lovers' warmth behind and head for their kitchen.

The concept of giving food to one's dearly treasured loved ones seemed to be a very common thing to do in Teyvat. Aether always looked forward to checking his new mail with Tubby and finding a card tucked neatly into a precious meal that represented one of his friends. It was only natural that Aether would want to try his hand at it himself. His agenda would be rather full today with most of it spent in the kitchen. He stacks Beidou, Kokomi and Bennett's birthday gifts on top of Alhaitham's (he'd send that one out later today) and moves them aside before wiping down the surface of the countertops and carefully setting his ingredients up.

Oil, pork and tofu, veggies, and more. The boar blood sits neatly on a countertop, covered to preserve its freshness until the moment that Aether would need it. The rest of the boar, too, would come in handy later.

Thank you, Mr. Boar. No part of your precious time spent attempting to ram me to death in the Qingce bamboo forest has gone to waste.

In any case, the first cooking task at hand would be to saute his onions and garlic– the latter of which had been extremely hard to find due to not being widely available in general goods stores. Seriously, he'd checked with both Second Life in Liyue and Tsukumomono Groceries in Inazuma. Nothing. No garlic to be found anywhere. Aether, however, was not known for giving up. And so, he had ended up taking a series of commissions with garlic as his only request for payment. Paimon may have been rather disheartened about it but she had nevertheless been kind enough to negotiate the heapfuls of garlic needed to compensate for the mora he was otherwise missing out on. It had been a lot of effort but Aether was determined that his friends experience the very best. So, if he was going to participate in this tradition then he was going to dedicate himself to it.

Unfortunately, the path that Aether had dedicated himself to cannot be called the most quiet path. A gentle hum indicating the use of adeptal arts echoed throughout the room and all the lights flicked on at once. Caught. Aether quickly lowered the stove's flame and donned his most sheepish expression before he turned to face his confused lovers. It is only natural that they went to look for him together.

"Aether," Zhongli said by way of greeting. "You were missing from our bed."

Ajax made a vague noise of agreement. "Yeah-- Don't get us wrong, zolotse , this all smells delicious but isn't it unusual to start cooking at six in the morning? You're not a Snezhnayan trying to cook an entire Krsnik Noc feast by themself."

Aether snorted just because he may as well be one, with the amount of food he had to cook. Regardless, he couldn't just let a snarky comment like that slide. "Something's telling me that you have been that Snezhnayan before, haven't you?"

"Oh, but of course." Ajax grinned. "That kind of situation is both a challenge of its own league and an opportunity to make my little siblings happy. Although… it would be more accurate to say I did seventy-five percent of the work. My older siblings found me after that and insisted that they lend their help."

"It is always good to have help when undertaking such tasks," Zhongli agreed. "And as for another example… Well, would you kindly enlighten us on what you are currently working on, Aether? If you allow Ajax and I to help you then perhaps the three of us might retire back to bed sooner."

Would that really be alright , Aether wondered, apprehensive. Would a birthday meal not completely done by myself come across as too ingenuine? He is prepared to let them down gently and send them back upstairs when his eyes accidentally wander onto Ajax's hopeful face... Oh well, Aether did try. And it was quite a lot of food to cook so he may as well explain.

"I noticed that you guys in Teyvat have a rather unique practice of giving yummy foods to those whom you treasure. And well, my birthday is coming up soon. So…" Aether paused, hesitant to look at his boyfriends.

"Ah," Ajax chuckled. "Well, that explains why you've made so many servings."

"Indeed. Our love's travels have taken him far and wide. Aether, you've endeared yourself to a great many people. While the practice of cooking for them may be considered a small gesture, the amount of effort you are putting in is quite large. Ah, yes, and speaking of birthday meals- I must admit that I'm surprised to hear that you've decided on a day of the Teyvatan calendar to celebrate."

Aether laughed softly at that, offering Zhongli a wooden spoonful of stew to sample. The consultant gracefully accepted it, closing his eyes to savor the flavor. A rare moment in which Ajax and Aether are spared from Zhongli's adorable rambles. A brief moment for Aether to think about how to answer Zhongli's unasked question. A million half-formed answers run through his head, most of them likely to confuse his loves. He settled on the simplest answer.

"Different worlds have different ways of keeping track of the passage of time, and different ways of celebrating events like birthdays too. So Lumine came up with a way to ensure that we'd always be able to set aside one day for ourselves, no matter when or where we were performing our duties. We always celebrate on the twelfth day of the second month– it works for most worlds, though not all."

"The twelfth day of the second month. So in Teyvat that would be February 12th, no?" Ajax trailed off before suddenly slamming a hand on the counter. "Wait a minute. Aether! That's already tomorrow!"

"Indeed. Aether, you still have quite the amount of servings to go prepare. Don't forget, Ajax and I are more than willing to help you prepare the rest of the dishes."

Aether gave a mocking yet fond sigh of resignation. He never did have a chance at winning this battle. "I suppose I have no choice then, do I? Alright then, you know where the aprons are. This dish hails from my original home world-- it's called dinuguan ."

---

The sun is high in the sky once Aether had finally sent his beloved Harbinger and Archon stumbling up the staircase, laughing as they discussed what kind of last-minute surprise they could cobble together for their "sunshine."

He lets the sound of their joy wash over him and fill his heart as he carefully personalized sixty-two packaged servings of stew. Ganyu and Shenhe would receive a vegan version of the dish, while Xiangling, Nahida and Ayaka had the recipe scribbled onto their accompanying letters. Perhaps Albedo would appreciate the recipe, too? There are a lot of boars in Dragonspine. He'll tuck a copy in, just to be safe.

His friends would hopefully see the gift for all it's intended meanings: a thank you gift for their companionship and a longing wish to create more memories together before the time came when they no longer could.

A Miqo'te job story
Tumblr media
She had no head for magic. She was nothing more than a simple Miqo’te hunter who was apprenticed under a masterful Bard to expand the repertoire of her skills. The way of the bow was a part of her life. Strengthening the pack through songs sounded almost similiar to the life in the forest she once led.
Hiding with the Dutiful Sisters of the Edelweiss utilised her hunting skills differently on very different game. But meeting Yugiri and later Oboro served to spark something within her. But it wasn’t enough until she ran into the Pugilist guild, the simple guild that ended up pointing her in the direction of a monk who offered her something more. Close quarters combat was useful and makes one dangerous enough without a blade
The timing of the bloody banquet forced her to flee Ul’dah before a chakra could be opened. All that did was leave her vulnerable to the abyss of dark emotions laying in wait in Ishgard.
Stubbornly she clung to the lessons of the bard until she met a wise leonine mentor. The two felines hit it off enough for the elder one to impart the Hrothgar way of the gunblade. Her need to protect the vulnerable members of her pack was more understandable than the confusing dark emotions of vengeance.
But when she had done what was needed to be done to calm a little bird, there was time enough on her hands to revisit certain mentors. The opening of the Chakra cause aether to flow enough for a Miqo’te red mage to test her potential.
The balance of magic made her return to Ishgard to face down the abyss of dark emotions, the flip side of what she knows as a Bard. But would it be enough to finally learn to heal?
-------------------
Bard main, Gunbreaker and pugilist for close quarters combat and Scion A team have no Tank till Shadowbringers so she Gunbreak to tank early. Darkknight was conflicting with Bard at first, that it was easier to Gunbreak as its more in tune with protecting the pack(Tataru and Alphie and then Fortemps and others) as a hunter.
Monk open chakra and made it a bit easier to wield balanced red magic. The lady is working in reverse. After Meteion there was less urgency and more time to deal with Fray. Therefore Bard channels emotion outwards, Dark Knight channels it inwards, the one song that she could not sing, she has to eventually face before being of the right mindset for conjury.
Paladin(Meteor) is a strange concept to her(no there’s no Shielder Class, wrong game / anime) and she’s too calm for Warrior(Ardbert). How is she to channel her inner beast when the hunter side of her fit her Miqo'te feline nature?
She won’t pick up Astrologian because of Urianger and her skepticism with using prophecies to manipulate and not seeking alternate choices. Unsure if Sharlayan Sage and Scholar means anything to her simple mind. For some reason I’m waiting for Geomancer because affinity with the Auspices and maybe Druid if New World. She might lean towards nature.
Black Mage is iffy but Summoner stands a chance.
Reaper depends. No affinity for lances and katanas at the moment.
Maybe Dancer in the future when she settles things with Fray but iffy on Machinist, depend on what Cid can teach her.
So essentially max Bard + Gunbreaker. Pair up Dark Knight and Red Mage. Left Monk with Conjurer. I need one to earn stickers for the other.

So knowledge of the stars here is implied to be something that you had to actually study and specifically go seek out in order to understand what they are. The concept of your fate being attached to your constellation is not a new one to the traveler and it didn't seem too new to our friends during Mona's Island in the GAA2.
Now, the idea that seems to be building is that the sky is manufactured and so are the stars in it, just like @teyvats-worst-hero said. I mean, the moon sisters are dead, and the chambers of the heavens have been broken, this means that there is a preordained future for the civilians of Teyvat in order to keep Celestia's system in place. Furthermore, we have seen that people who find the truth behind the stars and abyss are corrupted and punished severely. I.e. Khaenri'ah, Enkanomiya, Sal Vindagnyr, and King Deshret +his people.
All this information is building and building, especially as the Twins, who are indicative of luminiferous aether, set out on their journey to understand Teyvat and reveal the truth of the world, respectively. So expect more information about The sky and stars soon, because luminiferous aether was basically an old theory about how light moved through space.
Now about the vision hunt degree, I would argue that since the visions were in the hands of the Electro Archon, Celestia did not respond or change anything about their sky during this time as they didn't perceive anything as a threat to themselves.
Okay, I have a question. Is it common knowledge among vision users on what their constellation names is? Or is it something privy only to the people the likes of Mona and those who actually do some digging.
And who gives the names to their constellations anyway?
Are the constellations pre determined or do they only appear once the person receives their vision?
I think this was touched upon on the reconciled stars event but I wasn’t even aware of Genshin back then, but what happens when a vision user dies? Do those constellations blink out of existence? Fall out of the sky? What happened to the ones that lost their vision and succumbed to its effects in the Vision Hunt Decree? Did their constellations dim until they received their vision back or died?
