Aby Ngana Diop - Dieuleul Dieuleul From Aby Ngana Diop - Liital (1994)
Aby Ngana Diop was the most famous taasukat in Dakar, Senegal in the 1980s and 1990s. Taasu is a Wolof-language poetic style, usually performed by women griots over frenetic drum patterns, with an aggressive verbal flow thought to presage rap.

Seeing the unimaginable horror unfolding in Rafah, I did not feel right making a 'regular' episode of my show. Tonight, we're featuring only artists from parts of the world that have been affected by colonialism, American intervention, and Western capitalism. To put it frankly, minimal synth as it is generally defined is very very White. I have tried to feature a few artists from these regions every episode to break that up, and I've found a lot of stuff through many many hours of research and listening. It's a small gesture, to hear music in the same DIY spirit from unexpected places, but in my opinion that doesn't make it an unimportant one.
