The Promise of Allah is True & Leaving Something for the Sake of Allah | Abu Idrees | Manchester
An incredibly beneficial lecture by Ustadh Abu Idrees wherein he covers three core matters: If you leave something for the sake of Allah, he will replace it with something better. The promise of Allah is true Allah is with you and he will send aid. Indeed Allah will not forsake you, so do not let this Worldly life deceive you…

Ubaadah bin Saamit (رضي الله عنه) reported, that Nabīﷺ said:
"Verily the first to be created by Allāh was the pen. Allāh told it to write, so it wrote all that will exist until forever."
Nūn.
By the oath of the pen and what they write.
With the grace of your Lord, you (Oh Muhammadﷺ) are not insane.
When Allāh takes an oath upon something, it is indicative of its greatness, and its blessedness is increased. In the 29th Juz' of the Qur'aan, Allāh takes an oath on the pen, clarifying that Nabīﷺ was not a madman.
Whether it refers to the pen of destiny, the pen used by the Angels to record our deeds, or the general pen used by man today; in all such cases its honour is understandable, for many great tasks are accomplished through the pen.
Ask judges, lawyers, students, teachers, businessmen, and authors; ask every person of every occupation, how much of ease was attained through the pen, and how much of benefit it offered themselves. One seemingly insignificant tool holds such great value.
Imaam AlQurtubi (رحمة الله عليه) said about Idrees (عليه السلام), that he was the first to write with the pen, the first to sew and stitch his clothing, and the first to study knowledge of the stars, their calculations and their movements.
There is a story of a recent saint of this Ummah – Hadhrat Maulana Maseehullah Khan (رحمة الله عليه) who lived a few decades ago. Hadhratjee would always teach people different aspects of Adab (respect and mannerism). On one occasion in the Majlis-Khana someone wanted to borrow a pen. Another person on the other end took out his pen and threw it at his friend. Hadhratjee witnessed the entire incident. Immediately he instructed: "Take the pen back to your friend and ask him to hand it over to you respectfully." This person immediately understood his mistake and passed the pen back to his companion.
Hadhratjee went on further to explain: “A pen is worthy of great respect. Allāh has taken Qasam in the Qur'aan on the pen. Everything in the Lauhe Mahfooth is recorded with a pen. How much does man not benefit from the pen in his day to day life. Then should we not be showing some form of respect to the pen?”
May Allāh illuminate his resting place.
The pen is mightier than the sword, goes the English saying, and the poetry of Abu Haatim AlBusti conforms to this:
When the brave people swear by their swords some day,
And count it among things that give honour and veneration to men
The writers' pen is sufficient for their honour and superiority
For all times to come, because Allāh has sworn oath by the pen
This is the significance of just one bounty, a bounty almost extinct.
May Allāh grant us true understanding, and the ability to appreciate every single blessing, so that we may be recorded amongst the ever-grateful.

SUDAN: IL PRIMO SINDACATO DEI GIORNALISTI IN DITTATURA
Tumblr media
