My pet peeve is people using the word "ethnic" to describe, in the best case scenario, any kind of cultural element foreign to them or, in the worst case scenario, anything "non-white". It means literally nothing?????????? "an ethnic shop" well duh??? So you're saying it's a shop owned by people who belong to an ethnicity? That's sooo specific, damn. My personal favourite was that wave on social media about "ethnic features" or "ethinic nose" and I'm ethnically ripping my own face off in frustration thanks.

I had my usual dream today where I return to my childhood flat except with an SSO twist

I returned to the flat where I lived as a child, and I don't fully remember what was happening but I went to the bathroom to take a shower, but suddenly Mr Sands was there in the bathroom with me and when I tried to talk to him a dialogue box popped up and it was some gibberish, almost like (translation missing).

And then I was in a hotel lobby that looked like it was in the SSO game, glass pannels looking at an empty street, the lobby was empty except for one boring desk with a person behind it. I was talking to the person, finding out that some popular singer was staying at the hotel, when suddenly next to me was Raptor, and I went "Aha, so this is where hes been!", and then Raptor was joined by the celebrity and they walked up the stairs with the red carpet up to the one room that looked like a ballroom where the celebrity had their suite. I entered the room and and Raptor said [translation missing] and then started chasing me down the stairs...

AbsTRace (DEMO) by R734

AbsTRace is a minimalist 2-D racing game. This game captured me immediately because of its clean graphics: it also looked, gameplay wise, similar to the era of wii-ware games that tried to be very simple, sort of abstract arcade games. In that regard, it definitely keeps its promise, because playing it that is definitely the vibe I feel and love. However, the gameplay feels a bit bare; i'd like to see more ways for the player to influence what goes on in the race, like items and such. I'd also maybe consider tuning the controls, because at the moment they feel a bit too slippery for what the game requires of you in terms of precision. It shows a lot of promise and I would love to see as a finished game. 4/5.
