My pet peeve is people using the word "ethnic" to describe, in the best case scenario, any kind of cultural element foreign to them or, in the worst case scenario, anything "non-white". It means literally nothing?????????? "an ethnic shop" well duh??? So you're saying it's a shop owned by people who belong to an ethnicity? That's sooo specific, damn. My personal favourite was that wave on social media about "ethnic features" or "ethinic nose" and I'm ethnically ripping my own face off in frustration thanks.
