With all the DPxDC crossovers here I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone take a stab at giving Danny the Absolute treatment. That is, reimagining his story with one crucial element removed.

My pitch: Danny without the ghost zone.

In this universe, there is no separate dimension that only ghosts inhabit. They're all in our world but can't be seen by people most of the time.

Jack and Maddie still built the portal, believing in a ghost zone, but all it did was collect ambient ghost energy and release it onto Danny. After that it just went inert.

Not only is this a big change in how the DP universe works but it would give another challenge to Danny. He can't simply catch ghosts and release them into the Ghost Zone. Instead he's left with three options.

Help resolve the ghost's issues, letting them find peace and/or move on.

Destroy them.

Trap them in the thermos and leave them there until 1 or 2 are possible.

Being forced to keep ghosts imprisoned indefinitely or flat-out destroy them would take its toll on Danny, and depending on what his support system is like in this universe, could make things even worse for him.

This line drives me crazy. You know we love to joke about Benson being low key obsessed with Randy pre-movie, but often I think of that as just for fun, and that realistically, Randy probably wasn't that big a player in his mind until that morning. That the shooting was probably more about Benson just not being able to take his shitty job and shitty life anymore, and that maybe he thought he was going to kill Randy too until the last second. But then I watched this scene again and it's so wild, like.

Benson reveals that he's been watching Randy, noticing him, thinking about him, having some intense emotional reactions to him. But they've been working together for like a year, and they work a presumably pretty boring job, and you've gotta think about something to get through the day, so whatever.

But then he says this!! That standing in front of Randy with the gun, the idea that Randy is fixable was the only thing he believed. The only thing!!! In his darkest and most nihilistic moment, the only thing Benson could hold onto was the something better that he could see in Randy. And that's insane, like buddy normal answers only why is Randy at the center of your fucking worldview?????? I don't feel like I can even articulate how crazy this is to me like they are like barely-acquaintance coworkers why is Randy the only thing he believes in?????

Okay I wanna talk about the end of the video, and I think it's pretty simple

In some shots it looks like the blue in Green's window is a blue sky but if you look here

That's a desktop background, so he's probably still in Alan's computer

What that means is: the explosion on the window is the Color Gang having their fun, probably with some TNT and that is interrupting Green's recording

What they previously had fun doing together, is now a nuisance to his social media venture. Which is pretty sad.

Also at one point it looks like he's glancing to the side to check something but then I noticed that's where his microphone is so it's probably nothing other than a mediocre recording setup (watch him cover his walls in wool next video)
