Lil character sheets for the comic.
For anyone curious about what exactly moon is doing, I have a fun fact for you! Did you know each arm on a giant pacific octopus can lift 1,000 pounds? Those guys are about 16-30 feet long so, moon who’s around suns height… :)

And like in every universe with magical bullshit I'm going to propose the time travel children
Mc gets called to the Chancellor's office for something urgent and finds three grown adults attempting to deal with a toddler running around the office and throwing himself at you.
"an experiment might have gone wrong during class and he came out and was crying for you, I promise to find a way to bring him back soon"
So now you have a year old or so stuck to your hip after classes (luckily there is a kindergarten for staff that takes him) until he drops some lore like "big sister and brother go to darkwick too, dad said this is where you two met when he was helping you" so now you got a future reading and got told you were going to marry one of the ghouls.
And regardless of how you attempt to pry info from him he won't let even one bit "how about we draw your siblings? What do they look like?" "They look like my brother and sis :D" and proceeds to draw sticks figures with orange and green, "and what does your dad do for work?" "I don't remember" so unless you parade him around campus and he recognizes him you will have to wait

Listen, I know we're all talking about the beautiful editing in this scene right now. However, and that might be just a guess, I think Ed is killing someone here.
Tumblr media
First off, look at the background. They aren't fighting anymore. This isn't an action packed raid scene where everybody is fighting against one another amidst the chaos of bloodshed. It's quiet, normal even. The fighting is over, and everyone is either checking their newly acquired loot or looking at Ed, who seems to be at the center of ship. Now see where the gun is pointed - it's down,
Tumblr media
almost as if he is shooting someone who's kneeling.
That's not a warning shot and neither is it a fight, that's an execution. Ed is killing again (by his definition of killing I mean)
And I DEFINITELY am not implying that he has become super violent and angry or something like that (which I think is a very stupid, racist take and not in line with his previous characterization at all, but that's a whole other post), tbh I think it's exactly the opposite. He isn't angry at all, that's what's worrying me. There is a stone cold dead calm in him. I think he has given up.
That is, by letting go of one of his core principles (not killing), and therefore becoming the Kraken - he is personafying himself as his father's killer, trying to become the monster other people and himself believe him to be. I mean, LOOK AT HIS CLOTHES!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is wearing nine guns and is very much looking like a vampire clown. He's dressing up as a caricature of himself. He is doing all of that because - deep down - he thinks that's why Stede left him. Because when he finally laid his soul bare in front of him, Stede rejected him (so that surely must mean that he saw something he did not like in there). To Ed, Stede finally "sees him now" as the monster he really is. A monster who isn't deserving of fine things, or luxuries such as not killing. So when he becomes the Kraken, after Izzy does That Whole Thing, he gives up trying to fight for them.
Thing is, the Kraken is not really killing other people, at least narratively speaking (sorry Lucius). Killing is a tool he is using to let go of the part of him that longs for Stede, love and all the fine things that he can't have - and the part of him that is just so, so hurt by not having them. The Kraken isn't killing others, it's killing Ed.
So it's no wonder that we see him kill at a wedding of all places. It's the embodyiment of everything he has ever wanted and lost so far. Extravagant dresses, good food, fancy stuff and, most of all - love.

Mermaid AUs are so lovely to see. Are they childhood friends in yours, too?
Maybe, i imagine Katsuki has kept gifts Izuku might have brought to him. Seashells, or nice looking rocks, probably with a few fossils inside them?

What kind of octopus is Kraken!Moon?
Tumblr media
Between the pictures I'm definitely going to be talking about some facts on the octopi, and also how I incorporate certain aspects of them into Moon's overall design. Cause I'm a nerd and I want to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oops, I meant "they are adept at using tools to-" sorry, m a bit tired.
Many of the shelters that are made by coconut octopi are made using coconuts (hence their moniker), shells, and anything around they feel they could pull over their heads or curl up into! A really interesting aspect about that is also that when it comes time to move their shelters for whatever reason they may need to, they WALK. Thats right. THEY ARE BIPEDAL YA'LL.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There isn't really a lot known about Bioluminescent octopi. Most of what I saw discussed was how they are deep sea creatures, and how the glow could mean all sorts of things. Maybe for hunting like angler fish, maybe to scare off predators (or perhaps to distract like the Vampire squid does when it uses a cloud of bioluminescent mucous to escape), its also possible its for attracting a mate.
What it is to moon hasn't really been decided yet? I kind of like the idea that it tunes you into his emotions. The more heightened his emotions, the brighter he gets. Sort of like blushing. I don't know, I'm thinking on it.
Also yes, the little bit hanging off the side of Moon's head is actually fins. Fins like you might find on the ever adorable:
Tumblr media
Dumbo octopus! But his are incredibly small and do very lil flapping unless he's embarrassed or something. Honestly I see them mostly as vestigial.
Tumblr media
There are a lot of interesting facts about the Blanket Octopus. Just off the top of my head, the female blanket octopus is HUGE. The girlies can stretch up to 6 feet. The guys... welp, hahaha. They are like an inch. Very similar to a height difference you guys have already seen with y/n, sun and moon, right?
However whats really interesting is that they are immune to the potent and painful sting of a man-o-war jellyfish. And whats even MORE interesting is what they do with that little bit of immunity. You see they have a tendency to rip off the man-o-war's stingers and use them for defense. How cool is that? also, kinda crazy fucked up. Imagine someone just snatched up your arm and started beating people to death with it?
OKAY I'M OUT
