Which character from Monkie Kid is your favorite?

Impossible question. It really depends on the day. some days I think about some characters more than others, and more often than not its usually the dynamics between characters rather than specific characters. I do create more content for Pigsy, Monkey King and Mk I think so that probably says a lot lol, but also like, I can't write Mk without Mei, or Red Son without Mk and Mei, or Pigsy without Mk and Tang, or Monkey King without Mk, just feels like they're not complete without certain other caracters y'know? Can't just think about one character without thinking of the others so picking a favourite is darn near impossible. I love the dynamics too much hGLSK;JFDD

Reader is affectionate to the boys

Red son

He placed the soup down and they casually ate the noodle before humming happily as a sigh of relief, “It seems you can withstand the beauty of spice! Very good, now would you like, VERY SPICY?” His eyes burst into flames while clutching his fists.

“I have to politely decline good sir.” They hand him some cash before bowing respectfully, soon a soft yawn escapes them. “I best get going.”

He stared with a begrudged glare then spots their phone number, getting ready to rip it apart he paused and just kept it. “I’ll see you soon (Y/N)..”

Of course they spend time together again but this time they looked more sleepy, walking over (Y/N) leans on his shoulder. “Are you alright?”

“I enjoy sleeping a lot…” he stays silent, “Hm, but you seem to move around a lot at night.” They nod while admiring his style. “You have a great sense of fashion.”

Red son chuckled then let the younger human cuddle up to him. “Of course my sense of fashion is top tier, one would say that I red son is a practical fashionista if he so desired!” No one says that but they didn’t care.

“Well you’re my fashionista, I don’t wanna share.” The flame demon couldn’t help but feel small flame hearts flow from his hair. “Of course my love…”

At some point the two were found together asleep peacefully until the night sky reached the two. Soon enough Monkie kid and Mei joined in and cuddled up to them. Much to Red son’s dismay.

Macaque

Woman were so confusing, so were men…humans in general.

Which was why he didn’t know why she stuck around: all she did was run his head, let him lay on her lap maybe in some occasions when he felt especially annoyed he’d lay on the woman’s chest.

She was just perfectly shaped, to Macaque…perfect, he didn’t care about sizes around the waist, legs or chest all he wanted was someone to hold him. She did, now here he is grumpy with an occasional smug comments about Sun Wukong until the woman suddenly smooches him on the lips, he blushed madly then grunts as another smooch follows then the male was smothered to the couch.

“(Y/N) what has gotten into you!?” She lays on his chest. “I felt affectionate today…” Macaque stayed silent while the woman laid there and grew tired. “May we stay like this for awhile?”

He obliged, holding her waist while she buried her head under his chin. ‘She’s going to be the death of me’

Sun wukong

Imagine him and an idiot side of Monkie Kid…that’s how she felt.

Anytime she’s working he’s surprised the woman by pressing his face against her waist. “Sun Wukong if I drop this potion and it turns out it’s rare not only will you grab me one but you’ll sleep on the couch!”

He sighed, “Sorry, I just miss my giant peach tea…she makes me feel so happy and full of ideas.” His puppy eyes gazed into (Y/N)’s…not long after.

The monkey king was happily playing his game while she sat on his lap and rubbed his hair. “I hate you.” He paused the game and cuddled into (Y/N).

“You’re my practical serotonin…I love you.” She kissed his cheek at his response. “I love you too.”

He did fall asleep soon enough which meant she had to let him lay on her lap….lucky king. Then again he always felt lucky with (Y/N) around.

Ok. This post isn’t hnk related at all but I feel compelled to write this anyways because I feel really exhilarated right now. So... There’s this show that I’ve been obsessing over for a year now and new season teasers have been popping up non-stop and... my emotions are all over the place.

I’ll be honest when I say that this show has been my main source of serotonin, dopamine, comfort, and excitement for a long time. It’s beautifully animated with great characters and the show overall is just so much fun! I’m so grateful that I stumbled on it when I did because it honestly helped me get through this last year for various reasons. 

I really wanted to make posts and reblog a lot of stuff from this show on my blog here but I didn’t. I guess I didn’t want to scare off my followers with me spamming about this show non-stop, but I know that shouldn’t have stopped me. Should I make a now blog just so I can openly gush about this? Maybe. Or maybe I should just bombard you guys with posts about this show because why not? I love this show so much it’s unhealthy and I wanna show it to y’all! ... Hm. But I think making another blog or two would be a better choice. I’ve honestly been thinking of making another blog to post other stuff but I’ve been so busy and it felt like a hassle to do. I’ll figure that out soon.

But seriously, I love this show so much that it re-inspired me to look into the original source material that inspired it. I remember wanting to read the original story years ago but life got in the way and it’s still in the way. But thanks to this show, my interest in the original source materialAnd it was through this show that I finally understood what a comfort character is because I now have one. I love all of the characters in this show, but my goodness, this one character.... my goodness. Every time I see his face I just can’t help smiling! He makes me so happy I love him so much! I’ve had crushes on fictional characters before, though mainly when I was young, but this hits different. 

And I’ve seen this character depicted in other shows and media and though I love some of his other iterations, how he is depicted in this show...its perfect.

Aaaaaah I’m so excited for this show’s new season, especially I’m going to be seeing more of my comfort character, but I’m also so freakn’ scared for him and everyone in the show! And I swear if something bad happens to him, I’m going to lose it!

Sorry for this long winded post.

I’m essentially saying that I’m very excited for the new season of Lego: Monkie Kid and my comfort character is nonother than the famous Monkey King himself, Sun Wukong! 

Look at him. Him and his stupid smug monkey face. He is perfect and I love him to death.

When I’m done with school, I’m so going to spend my whole summer reading “Journey to the West.”
