So funny how it happened multiple times that I started consuming a media and shipping two characters (usually a straight ship) and upon rewatch I began shipping either one or both of them with others

And so far the answer to this has been (with one exception) polyamory

Last song I listened to: once i've finished this: "Gloria" by Patti Smith (went to a concert two days ago and it was... glorious)

Currently reading: I just (literally just) finished reading "Redshirts" by John Scalzi (highly recommend it) and I don't have another one lining up yet! might take a swing at this one book my dad gave me and that he wants to discuss with me but it's non-fiction. Or a Stargate book. Or I'll wait for my book for the book club (Fragile by Alexa Weik) to arrive and start that one.

Currently watching: Deep Space Nine (hehe), and I feel like i'm also watching other stuff... golden girls on and off, one day at the time on and off, stargate universe... that might be about it right now

Current obsession: i- i don't really have one right now?? (ow). closest to an obsession might be me listening to Patti Smith nonestop since i returned from the concert but that's about it (it's my first week of uni + the concert and i'm a bit all over the place rn... hope it settles soon). Oh also i like to read rn? but it's not like i'm obsessing over one partiular book/series

Star Trek comedy gag where Sarek is explaining to Spock why Vulcan parents cannot be as close to their children as humans are meanwhile Tuvok’s in the background buying his children two large fries (to share amongst them) on their way back from the park because they all got good grades this year - not perfect, but progress is always to be commended.

#the littlest one gets sleepy on the way back and Tuvok picks him up without a word while telling Elieth no he cannot have a snack before #dinner - the fries ARE his snack. A brainworm thought that won’t leave me alone and that I am not sure I can put into a fic draft without exploding into flames of ‘I’m not a weird smut writer, by god’:

1. The werewolves of the mercyverse canonically heal almost anything provided it’s not an instant fatality. This includes old age, tattoos, and limb loss.

2. They’re mostly men. A lot of them are military men or veterans, who have pretty crude senses of humour as a group.

3. A lot of them are from cultural backgrounds where circumcision is a norm

Conclusion: ‘then I realised my foreskin grew back and freaked the fuck out’ has to be so common an experience as to be a trope in werewolf anecdotes.

Fell into a rabbit hole researching first the Mitanni horse training texts and then gathering as much information as I possibly could about the absolute madwoman who got a university to fund her recreating the whole thing with 4 Arabians one to one. Was not surprised to see some absolutely batshit opinions when I found her old breeding program on the wayback maschine.

Just saw shitfaced Shakespeare for the first time oh my god I'm going another million times it was BRILLIANT

This is a very random question but I’m too curious to not ask. What are your feelings on internet aesthetics? (e.g. cottagecore, dark academia, etc)

I never really dabbled in the specific fandoms (?) as such, I just heard of them. When asked I could point at something and go "That's that specific core vibe indeed."

I personally just see posts and go "Oh! That has a nice autumn feel to it, I'mma reblog that" or "Heck yeah, that sure is an abandoned place I'd like to look at in real life" I don't use anything specific or tack on a suffix like -core.
