when I'm watching popular YouTubers there's always like two or three other YouTubers in the comments section who are verified and named shit like "AllTimeCroissant" and they're always telling the first YouTuber that their vids are amazing and they're glad to see them back or cracking a Reddit-tier joke or something and the replies all seem to recognize them but the actual YouTuber they were talking to has never interacted with them at all and also I have never heard of them in my life and never will again

the first few post-match interviews at worlds must be wild. yu wenzhou gives his interview as captain (situation normal) while being asked about the mistakes that were made because team hasn't fully integrated. and he starts talking about how it's because his leadership isn't strong enough (taking the responsibility as captain, again situation normal).

but yu wenzhou forgets one crucial thing. he is a captain in a team of captains, all of them used to taking responsibility. he's barely a sentence into his answer when every single other captain on the team interrupts all at once to explain why, actually, the mistakes are *their* fault. chaos erupts.

meanwhile, huang shaotian is (quietly, for once) watching all this mayhem unfold in real time. he is very very pleased. he has had this argument, and lost this argument, many times with yu wenzhou over the years. let your the team share the burden, captain. don't take all the blame for yourself. and now he gets to watch yu wenzhou get beaten into submission by all the other team captains who refuse to let yu wenzhou stand on the chopping block all by himself.

yu wenzhou eventually comes to an agreement with his new teammates. it doesn't stop them from trying to protect him in interviews, but they get themselves to a point where at least the interviews aren't pure chaos.

(a whole new enemies to lovers ship is launched during that first interview when wang jiexi physically steps in front of yu wenzhou to says "captain yu is mistaken. it was my fault for not following the plan adequately." to which yu wenzhou gives him the most "wtf" look ever seen from mild-mannered captain yu wenzhou.

for the next six months, huang shaotain gleefully sends yuwang fanart to both yu wenzhou and wang jiexi in their private group chat)

GPA pros are screaming, crying, throwing up in yuhuang’s respective inboxes, they can’t handle this, typos and sobbing aplenty.

Yuhuang are baffled and had no clue their friends were this invested. Hwq sent a video of drunk zxj crying on his shoulder. Zjl keeps posting “love is dead, just like yuhuang 😭💔” over black and white images of dead flowers.

Wjx just keeps sending them couples counselling links, he’s doing extensive research on this, all the professionals come highly recommended.

Blue Rain are literally just trying to parent trap them, it’s their one goal now, another championship???? No, yuhuang reconciliation, they are *laser-focused*

what I'm getting at is that yu wenzhou and huang shaotian fake a breakup just to get some peace and quiet. what they didn't could on was their friends being so genuinely broken hearted about it. so yeah, they traded one type of drama from another
