Listened to second episode of the silt verse and oh so they are both fucking insane!!!

One of the supporting characters I introduced and then posted nothing about was named Abel, and he’s actually going to be quite important later in the story. But right now there’s not much involvement from him, but his relevance will be mentioned a deal bit earlier than when his hands on involvement begins. However. I have been drawing some little snippets or interactions to get to know these supporting characters better myself, and this is something I cooked up for Abel, and how he feels about two specific riders

One…two…or maybe eleven babysitting mishaps and incidents with a Piranha Toddler Kari and a Child Leash Toddler Ant later, plus additional crummy parents with crummier parenting styles, and Abel is firmly heck no on ever having any children of his own Ever. Fortunately for his ‘pass on the family blood and name!’ Father, his sister wants kids, and Abel is pretty sure it’s only because she’s never actually had to deal with small children in any capacity. He has battle scars from his babysitting days, scars he got before he ever got into dragon training, and he does not want to willingly go through it all again

(He does not admit to himself that if something happened to a friend with kids, he would absolutely take their kids in, because he’s a softy who doesn’t actually hate kids, he’s just traumatized by their biting and chaos)

Comparing Abel/fArya to Bael/Rose in the same breath as denying Sansa having any connection to the rose when she was stolen by Baelish is certainly a choice.

Because Jeyne was never a Stark girl (Arya), the comparsion ends with Abel indirectly stealing her, there is no rose as a payment because the girl was fake and also no bastard killing him. (why Mance/Abel is not painted in a negative light like all other Bael figures in the story, he is not paying the price because he is not stealing her for himself: OG Bael, Rhaegar, Ygritte, Littlefinger, Marillion all had selfish motivations)

Baelish left a rose (Margaery) as a payment for stealing a Stark girl (Sansa) from Lannisters, and it is prophecied his bastard (again Sansa) will kill him.

Which story parallels Bael's story more?

Moreover, Arya has no theme of roses in her story. Saying Arya=Lyanna and Lyanna=rose motif so Arya=rose motif is wishful thinking and won't suddenly alter the text to include it in her chapters.

Meanwhile Sansa:

1) got a rose at a tourney like Lyanna

2) wore it in her hair the next day like Lyanna

3) had her first flowering immediately after the Bael's story came up for the first time

4) spent a lot of time with roses (tyrells)

5) got stolen by a bael figure, like Lyanna

6) was called a 'roadside rose' by another bael figure (who is offering the song as a payment for seducing her)

Also GRRM has a thing for redheads so assuming the OG rose was also a redhead is not a stretch by any definition. However, Sansa's paralles with the story don't depend on anyone's hair color.

I will never forget or forgive the damage Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon did for the autism community. "But Cupcake there are bigger issues to talk about when it comes to abelism" i KNOW but I am still fucking pissed off. People take Sheldon as an autism Icon when they have no idea what its like

My sister has an almost 2 year old who today was being fussy about sour cream touching her cheese while having dinner and refused to eat it unless it was Just cheese. She doesnt have the vocabulary to tell us so many things so half the time they only know she genuinely doesnt like something if she gags which is already an issue but whatever. My sisters shitty parenting skills are not the point here.

She sighed and made a comment how she "hopes she wont be like Sheldon, complaining that his peas touched his mashed potatoes". And I got this sinking mix of shame, anger and anxiety because what if she will be like that? That is a common autistic "problem", I have multiple friends on the spectrum who are like that as well

But because she knows it from that stupid show where its portrayed as just a thing he does and just a reoccuring inconviniance because hes fussy and self righteous she also associates it with Just Fussyness. She makes comments about how dramatic she is for not wanting to eat something she expressed her dislike for before

And yes sometimes kids are just like that where you can offer them some food and they dont want it, then retry with a different description (ex. A ham sandwich vs bread with butter and ham) and they will want it. That is one thing but traits sooooo heavily linked to autism being reduced to just a kid being dramatic is so fucking bad.

Im not sure if my niece is autistic. I am not a medical professional and also shes 2 but the comment is just... not it. BBT and YS keeps using autism traits to make a main character thats just quirky and fussy and annoying because thats his character and when people see those same traits in actual autistics they immediately label them as also just weird or dramatic or a handful

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays SO I made a new AU.

TL;DR: Abel was the co-runner, was bad so Caine trapped him in the cellar, he comes back and erases everyone's memories, Caine uses eyes to try to help them remember and to spy.

Caine had a co-runner of the circus and "brother" of sorts, named Abel, another ai. However, Abel was very greedy and power hungry, not so focused on "fun", and the conflicting interests between Caine and Abel lead to Caine trapping Abel in the cellar and ruling the place himself.

One day, Abel came back though and chose to rule the place himself, trapping Caine in the cellar and wiping everyone's memories, turning them into mindless husks of who they were, obnoxiously "happy" and will go along with anything Abel choses - Abel could not, however, take control over Caine's all seeing eyes, meaning that Caine can still spy on everyone and can have the eyes move to sort of direct people back to their memories when he's not fighting off abstracted characters.

As everyone starts to remember more, they become more suspicious of Abel too. Anyway! As customary, here is my Abel design:

*Abel had left Seth’s job and went to the bakery Eve set up for other citizens of Heaven to get sweets and work there if they wanted to, Abel thought of how Adam used to try to go to Seth’s job to wait for him to get off so they could hang and each time coming home looking frustrated that Seth was unable to and then one day he came home looking defeated saying that he wasn’t going to try anymore, now Abel understood why, he wondered if Seth even told Adam how he felt about him, he walked into the bakery and blushed when he saw Molly at the counter, Abel had a bit of a crush on her because of how cute she was and her sweet personality*

Abel: Hey is mom here?

Molly: Yes, she is in the back making a ton of those orange and chocolate chip muffins your dad loves.

Abel: That is very sweet, I wish that I could have someone love me as much as mom and dad love each other.

*Abel didn’t bring up that he wished that Molly was that person, he was afraid that it would make things awkward*

Molly: Me too, it sounds very romantic. I was hoping you could do me a favor, my brother Anthony is staying at the hotel, could you give him a letter from me?

Abel: I don’t think someone named Anthony is at the hotel.

Molly: Oh, I keep forgetting that most people know him by his stage name, it is Angel Dust.

Abel: I have heard about Angel Dust, he has become really good friends with my dad and thinks that he is one of the coolest people he met. I would love to get the letter to him.

Molly: Thank you!!!!!!!
