Troppo (Season 2)
🎬An eccentric private investigator with a criminal past and a disgraced ex-cop solve a murder in the wilds of Far North Queensland.
✍️A seriously good detective drama set in beautiful Queensland. I highly recommend it. It is original, with great character development and mystery. Definitely worth spending one's time on. Season 2 is available in Australia on the ABC network and will be free to watch on Amazon's Freevee channel from July 25th. It's a good show, and in a field of mediocre and 'same ol' rubbish, it is commendable to come across something new and different.

Any Australian 90's kids remember this?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in the late 90s and early 2000s, the Australian children's programming block ABC Kids would sometimes play idents of a weird purple CGI creature with a simpleton voice, pulsating eyes, three legs, and a butt shaped like the channel's logo.
It… was very uncanny looking.
As of 2024, only three of the idents seem to be archived online: [Music Box] [Skiis] [Ice Skating]

This is really important. Listen to this straight from Israeli government officials and their former Prime Minister. What we've known for years but been dismissed as conspiracy theorists - Netanyahu has been funding Hamas for years. He wants endless war so that Palestine will never have their own state. They also go into what Israel has done that led up to October 7th. See what life is actually like under Israel's "big brother" surveillance (their words, not mine). Watch what life under occupation is actually like...not the PR puff pieces that Israel and the IDF put out. Watch the full 45 minute special here:

RAGE was an institution on the ABC You would stay up late to watch the songs curated by your favourite artists. The Smashing Pumpkins put The Carpenters entire videography on for us to watch. Marilyn Manson spent the time playing videos to teach us HOW NOT to be a successful band. His critique on 311 was brutal. Ben Folds Five introduced me to Superdrag and Who Sucked Out the Feeling.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXkzp5Ba11E RAGE was amazing and there should be a dedicated stream on the ABC app. Or at best on Free To Air here in Australia.
Celebrate the history of an era when the Music Video clip was at its zenith.
