The episode starts with this guy trying to jump from the roof of a building Ryouga, the red ranger, is climbing for fun. Wild to begin with. The fact he’s trying to commit goes right over ryougas head and they get isekaied by the MOTW. Cue the entire episode of ryouga accidentally foiling this man’s plans to off himself while the other two abarangers fight the MOTW on their own, who is like… squid and olive and something-else themed bc the trinoids are always made of three things. (Thus spawning me and my bestie saying “squiddy squiddy kys” bc that’s literally the plot of the episode)

A fun thing abt abarangers is they talk a lot about “Dino guts,” and using ur Dino guts and blah blah, and this episode is the first key in it basically being a metaphor for your willpower to keep on going, your will to live itself. It turns into a pretty powerful message by the end of the show and even within the episode honestly.

By the end though, as in my eyes Dino guts represents the will to live, incidentally talks this man down and shows him that life always has more to offer. They eventually return to the real world via the power of Dino guts along with several other isekaied citizens.

Also somewhere in there they ALMOST but not rlly imply that ryouga and the man fuck in the woods which is hilarious bc yea ryougas dick is that good it saved the guys life.

Great stuff! How does the episode end? WELL.

The man returns to the roof of the building (to retrieve his shoes actually) but at this point, foolhardy ryouga has caught the message that this guy was TRYING to die, and thinks he’s still going to do it now. IN TRYING TO STOP HIM FROM JUMPING, RYOUGA AND THE MAN BEGIN TO FALL OFF THE BUILDING AND WE END ON A FREEZE FRAME OF THEM MID-FALL.

This background character. Is never seen. Again.

I’m not sure it was their INTENTION to imply this man dies anyway at the end but jfc jdjchshs
