For everything good in this world can we please have some good vis headcanons?
viserys and helaena parallel play. helaena is the only one of the targtowers viserys actually likes spending time with because shes not rowdy and can keep herself entertained. she comes into viserys room with her little cages of bugs and some books while hes working on his model and they just spend hours together, in the same room but not talking. later helaena is talking to alicent and tells her she had a lot of fun playing with daddy today and alicent just does not understand… they werent even talking to each other…
sometimes viserys lets helaena let her bugs crawl through his model and they both just sit on their knees at the edge of the table watching the millipedes crawl through the streets and her spiders building webs between the buildings. it fascinates viserys to see living things in the dead city.
she doesnt bring any flying bugs into his room though. she wanted to show him some of her butterflies and even though vis SWEARS hes not scared of butterflies helaena is pretty sure he is… (why did he duck down and hide under the table and start screaming if he wasnt scared? 🤨)
#viserys i targaryen#helaena targaryen#sorry this took awhile i have NOT been in a good mood lately#but this is one of my fave little hcs#asks#aaronized

Where do you bury ex emperors and empresses?
They usually specify where they want their wordly remains to lay. Since the Akaviri Potentate ended, we haven’t had a dynasty large enough to warrant a large crypt system; most Emperor’s were buried in the tombs of their families, their wives with them. In some cases they didn’t get buried at all, there were cases when we didn’t find the body or there was nothing left of it. The “default” is to put the Emperor or Empress Regnant to rest along the Emperor’s Green Way, unless specified otherwise.
Notable exception is Leovic. We’ve troed everything to get him out of the sewers. No success. So we are charging admission now.

a man self immolated in front of the israeli embassy in washington dc yesterday. not just any man. an active member of the us air force. he live streamed his death, and said that he refused to be complicit in a genocide any longer. he said that compared to what palestinians were facing every day, setting himself alight was nothing.
let me reiterate. an active duty air force member burned himself alive because he was so disgusted by what the us government was openly supporting. he live-streamed his own suicide, so the whole world could bear witness as a man in his military uniform set himself on fire to protest his government’s complicity in the horrors that we have all been forced to watch happen in real time. he became a new horror. footage of the immolation blurs him out the moment the fire catches, but you can hear him. it is over in seconds, really, but you can hear him screaming. he shouts “free palestine” until his body physically cannot make any sounds other than guttural screams of agony. and then he falls silent. a police officer arrives and points a gun at his still burning body, shouting at him to get down on the ground. and it is over.
his name was Aaron Bushnell. he was twenty five years old. and he isn’t here anymore because the political ruling class has decided that genocide is perfectly fine as long as it preserves imperialism. in the coming days, people will try to discredit him. to say that he was mentally unstable. they will try to bury his actions to save face and defend israel’s propaganda. do not let them. aaron knew what he was doing. he knew what he was doing when he put on his military uniform, set up his twitch stream, and made his final walk up to the embassy. he knew what would happen to him when he flicked that lighter. do not let them forget. aaron’s blood is on the hands of the political ruling class.
#free palestine#free gaza#from the river to the sea palestine will be free#Aaron bushnell#aaron’s livestream likely made it so much harder to bury this like the media did to the last person who self immolated#the least we can do is not forget him#gaza strip#gaza#palestine

“You simply cannot fit more America into a single incident than a man dying a horrifying death in protest of war crimes while a first responder screams at cops to stop pointing their guns at him and go get fire extinguishers. If you were to pick a single moment in history to sum up the essence and expression of the US empire, that would be it.”

What I find most dramatic about last episode is not even Rhaenys's sacrifice, but the fact Meleys and Vhagar fought. Like imagine they have been side to side for so long, they saw how Baelon and Alyssa took their kids for a ride. And I believe they remember each bond well, so they must be understanding the tragedy of family going against family but unable to do anything about it.
not only did meleys and vhagar spend so long side by side with alyssa and baelon. but vhagar was also laenas dragon since she was 12! they spent a lot of time together with mother and daughter as well. i do think they remember and are affected by these bonds. what does it feel like for these dragons to have these family bonds broken?
are they confused about whats happening? why theyre being commanded to attack their family. are they upset? is the overwhelming feelings of anger, betrayal, regret from their riders drowning out any other thoughts? how much are they even capable of understanding at this point. re: my dragon intelligence post. vhagar is closest in relation to the valyrian dragons, but she was hatched on dragonstone still. shed still be affected by the physical and mental decay of the westerosi dragons. sunfyre is the youngest (of those involved in the fight), im presuming hatched in the dragonpit. he might only really have the intellectual capabilities of a dog.
and speaking of sunfyre. this hotd version of events where vhagar is the one that nearly kills him? a friendly dragon, a dragon bonded to his riders brother? how is that going to effect sunfyre going forward, relate to his future viciousness? especially towards other dragons?

Good day, Lord Chancellor. I do trust you and your family are doing well. A traditional little question I have for you. As the Imperial City was rebuilt from ruins did you use this chance to upgrade your city systems? In what way if I might adk?
I have managd to pass through a motion to replace the majrity of the city staircases with something more cart and horse friendly. It was three days of talking to get that!
I am still incredibly disappointed that we are keeping the walls between the districts, though. I admit tjhat they are good for containing fires, sure but literally for nothing else. Traffic? Stuck. Evacuating the city? Don't even try. Not to mention dramatic suicides. I do nto know, Aaron, you would have thought that Men taking the city from the Ayleids, they'd want to improve it.
Oh, and there's also been talk of rebuilding the sewer systems under the city and make them into something more manageable. But that's just talk; such attemps had already been made in the past and nobody had ever seen the architects who ventured into there.

Americans: "self-immolation is pointless, it's tragic, it doesnt matter, no one cares, its mental illness..."
The rest of the world:

Seeing people decide to watch Breaking Bad based on the Tumblr memes is especially funny when they do it specifically for the memes about Jesse, because... well, let's put it this way. Aaron Paul, the guy who played Jesse, was nominated for a Primetime Emmy award for best supporting actor in a drama series for his work on Breaking Bad on five separate occasions, including twice in one season, and won three of those nominations. He was the first person ever to win that award three times for the same role. Like, Jesse's storyline is so viscerally unpleasant that it set industry records.
