Hi! About your Morrowind and Vvardenfell travel time maps, do you think you might update one of them now that there's more of Morrowind's mainland actually accessible as of last year in ESO?

hi! I don’t currently plan to, i'm afraid. I have a lot on at the moment which doesn't leave much time for gaming, writing or writing-related activities.

when things have settled down for me irl, i'm hoping to carry on with both my skyrim novelisation and my morrowind-focused novella. i imagine, when i pick up the latter, that inspiration may strike to update the travel time maps.

Omg so I'm coming to you bc Im making a quiz rn about the elf races in TES and one of the questions revolves around animals and I'm having a hard time thinking of one to assign to snow elves. I'm trying to think of animals that live in snowy or cold environments, specifically ones that live in modern day skyrim but I can't decide. So the question is, what animals do you think would have been significant to the Falmer? I was thinking maybe a wolf or a whale because of its long lifespan and conservation status.

Oh goodness, just one animal. That's a tough one!

If I had to absolutely choose from canon, my first instinct says the vale deer for the modern day Falmer: it's an animal that is hunted down and killed yet persists, albeit changed from years spent in the darkness.

The Ancient Falmer are a bit more of a challenge. What would differentiate them from the Altmer and Ayleids while maintaining the whole Elven aesthetic and Aurielic belief? Gyrfalcons and goshawks feel a bit too on the nose, but have an undeniable appeal because they follow the Elven/avian motif and they're just so damn pretty.

Not even bringing up my Mary Sue Snow Elf whose name basically means "little blackbird (affectionate)"

Wolves are also up there for me, especially with the Mara as Wolfmother headcanon, though I see this more as a guardian role. Mara gave up her divinity to watch over her fathers' favored ones.

Snow whales also deeply appeal to me, and I can see their fates inextricably intertwined: Both were mythical, and both were eventually hunted to hell. As with the Falmer, the snow whales are no more.

I essentially have been going through a few rough patches. last month my hand got injured and it's healing very well! a week before Christmas one of my best friends was in hospital and I stayed with her a few days. then, she came over to my house. though she's okay, luckily, it did mean i briefly couldn't draw as much as I'd have otherwise, and I couldn't be on tumblr either. Don't worry, I'll finish owed art!! but this left me drained so I'm recovering

WIP Wednesday

No writing to share this week, as I haven't had much time to work on it. Life's been a little busy, and I'm currently distracted with Stardew Valley in my spare time. So instead, have an old (from late last year) rough sketch that's been stagnating in my WIPs! Wren and Teldryn, of course, cause who else do I even draw?

I might get back to this one someday, probably change a few things that stand out to me after not seeing this piece for so long, give them some color. Guess we'll see!
