Hi! About your Morrowind and Vvardenfell travel time maps, do you think you might update one of them now that there's more of Morrowind's mainland actually accessible as of last year in ESO?

hi! I don’t currently plan to, i'm afraid. I have a lot on at the moment which doesn't leave much time for gaming, writing or writing-related activities.

when things have settled down for me irl, i'm hoping to carry on with both my skyrim novelisation and my morrowind-focused novella. i imagine, when i pick up the latter, that inspiration may strike to update the travel time maps.

until then, sorry :(

The hardest Daedra to write from a Falmer perspective are Molag Bal, Mehrunes Dagon, and Sanguine.

Molag Bal I've had some leeway in, as my current thinking is that Bal is the truest reflection of Lorkhan's corpse. Life in the tundra is cruel, often needlessly so, and "worship" of Molag Bal is, if I had to make an analogy, more of how the Reachfolk treat Molag Bal: A fact of life, and one to be endured. Molag Bal comes after the last sunset of the year, and is the worst of winter. You do not worship it, you endure it.

Mehrunes Dagon is a very tough nut to crack. The Falmeri culture leaned heavily towards stasis, and the Lord of Change is a polar opposite. @aanthirin and I briefly brainstormed on this and she had the brilliant idea of Dagon being brought from the frozen hell of the north, burning into the Ice Elves until nothing remained. First comes the searing fire of pain, then the death. And if you survive the death, you may yet understand.

There's argument for a Dagonite cult that flourished among the survivors of the Falmer-Atmoran War. After all, Auri-El was left bereft and betrayed, and now these homeless sorts find themselves in the exact same position. Who wasn't to say that Mehrune Dagon, Lord of Change, the Ardent Hope, was not also fighting against this upheaval?

Sanguine remains impossible. Being the Prince of Debauchery, he simply doesn't seem to mesh with a culture whose idea of debauchery is unlike the cultures in which we live. Homosexuality isn't debauchery, it's simply a way of being. Being transgender isn't debauchery, it's simply a step in the journey to self-realization. Addictions weren't seen as moral failings, and therefore addicts weren't cast aside but treated and consoled. The Falmer only executed people for one crime, and it wasn't murder.

I realized then that Sanguine wasn't seen as a creature of baseless impulse by the Falmer, but rather the worst aspects of Molag Bal amplified. If Molag Bal is the darkness after the last sunset of the year, Sanguine is the sick bastard who knows that in the dark, there are no witnesses.

In short, Sanguine wasn't a messy fun uncle gay in Falmer culture.

Sanguine was the King of Rape.

The big guy is inspired by spinosaurids (and albino gators) and the little guy is inspired by protarchaeopteryx. These are fun to sketch, pls give me more ideas i am begging
