It was still so surreal to have his sister by his side again. It still made Aventurine sometimes stop and stare as if he was waiting, for the world around him to shatter, like it had many times in the past. It seemed too good to be true and sometimes, like now, there was this urge to simply touch the nearby hand, to confirm that this was in fact real. Perhaps, he was being too naïve, perhaps he was believing in a lie, but for once, Aventurine desired to give in, even if just a little, until luck only embraced him and took ⸺ once again ⸺ all the warmth, that had dared to grace him. Life had always been unfair, when it came to that and it was why, he still was hesitant to give in and believe, without question. After all, this could all be one, big cruel joke and yet... he hoped it wasn't because he knew, that something would shatter, beyond repair, if it was. A small, slightly strained chuckle left at the questions.

with that, Aventurine of course meant with touch, something that he made clear as he took a gentle hold of the nearby hands, only to guide them to his cheeks, where fingertips ended up gracing the fair skin, so his sister could "see" the changes. To be honest, he was a little nervous ⸺ afraid, that his sister would be disappointed by, what he had turned into, but of course, that was kept under wraps. If there was something he had become really good at, then it was pretending.

Hello! Do you all remember the post I shared about Lucrecia’s scene here in the OG?

If not then let me share a very sad connection I made. In this Lucrecia moment she says about her baby (Sephiroth):

“watashi no kawaī kodomo”

This means along the lines of “My cute baby…” or “my sweet little child.” The use of “kawaī” by Lucrecia is the key point because it shows her affection. “Kawaī” is used for cute little things like a kitten or darling baby.

Now here is what the dream version of Lucrecia in The First Soldier calls Sephiroth:

可愛いセフィロス。こっちへいらっしゃい。

“Kawaī Sephiroth. Come here.”

She fawns over her son with a phrase like “Cute, little Sephiroth” and then hugs him. You can interpret it as “sweet” or “darling” as well and that’s how they came up with “my sweet little boy.” It works just fine because “kawaī” is for precious little things.

The point here is that they have referenced this OG piece of dialogue from Lucrecia about her son. It looks like they make a distinction for Lucrecia to always see her son as this innocent and cute child even in a dream. Let nobody doubt that Lucrecia loved her baby even after everything 😢

Since we're on the topic of Yasammy, do you guys every think about the CIRCUMSTANCES of Yasammy? Cause I do.

Yaz, a closed off girl who spends her time running and drawing, goes to an island that- lets be real, she hardly wants to be on- because of her sponsors, next thing she knows this bubbly girl who is the COMPLETE opposite of her basically forces her to accept her as a friend, helps push her out of her bubble, despite being alone on a dino infested island, and then suddenly she has a crush???

Like guys, Yaz probably didn't realize she liked girls until Sammy, she made that clear with her talk with Ben. She didn't realize through a show, or movie, or a random celebrity, she realized through Sammy. Sammy really is just THAT girl.

With everything that happened on the island, Yaz could've EASILY gone back into her shell and convinced herself she hated Sammy, that she was just a reminder of her trauma and a temporary friend so she wouldn't feel lonely on an island out to get her, yet she didn't. Yaz fell in love with Sammy, the girl who she thought would be a one week nuisance, and she would never think of again after that week at summer camp. Yaz risked her life to save Sammy's, despite having a poorly healed ankle and PTSD, she, AT 15 YEARS OLD, went up against a MANMADE HYBRID DINOSAUR to save the girl that she didn't even realize she loved yet.

Idk I just think about that a lot.
