I literally just joined tumblr today to be able to anon ask you. I think I should be the anxiety anon (aa is for sure in honor of Capt. Dad Bobby Nash and not in bad taste) because even typing this makes me feel way too seen. Does this count as human interaction? Guys, is it gay social anxiety if you only have inside thoughts because the idea of having outside thoughts makes you unwell? I'm not shaking--no, check--I am totally shaking rn, which is making it hard to type. But, I feel like I have reached critical mass on my Buddie thoughts and I will explode if I can't share them.

It is probably very rude to bust through the wall of your house like the Kool-Aid Man, so I want to say that I love your voice--your characterization and dialogue, particularly how you use humor in your fics is just *chef's kiss* for me. I have read them all but can't anon comment. I love your color theory and costume meta, too. Your takes are so measured and thoughtful and honestly just logical in a time where 9-1-1blr feels kinda sorta unmoored in reality. Fuck Twitter, your spy network tag is now my news feed because fandom reading comprehension and critical thinking scores have plummeted recently. Lou Who knows why?

Some things that are making me laugh/cry/cry-laugh rn:

The cockfighting ring call in Bobby Begins Again (2x16). Let's talk about closet space, bro: he-who-must-not-be-named canonically full-body flinched at literal cock coming at him. Somehow this is his gayest canon moment to me even though he has 2 canon full-on face assault man-on-man kisses.

The bridge call finale in Season 6, which I haven't watched in a minute, so I welcome fact-checking. I can't recall if it happens at the end of Love Is in the Air (6x17) as a cliff-hanger or if it is in Pay It Forward (6x18) proper, but right before the truck hits the bridge and triggers the collapse, Bobby is on the medical call on the bridge and he verbally instructs "K*nnard" to do something. The extra, presumably 1 of the old man retired firefighters they use to fill-out the 118 ranks, is wearing the "K*nnard" turnouts that nobody needed since 2x16's very accurate "Fairwell T*mmy. The 217's Loss is Our Gain" cake. So, how's that for invisible string debunker costume meta. As of 6x18: K*nnard was literally just an unused turnout coat on a hook in the costume dept. "Who cares?!?" is the 118 and 9-1-1's motto, fr. Like, nobody remembers gaf that he's a pilot, too, in an episode where Lucy flies off in the air ambulance, never to be seen again. Is "becoming a pilot" 9-1-1's way of telling your kid the dog "went to the farm" when you really had it put down while they were at school?

My change.org petition is for Buck and Eddie to have OS and RG's tattoos. I know makeup has been covering them up for years, but it has been bothering me so much since the ABC switch. It's like they're using the same tone of cover-up for RG and OS and it reads so yellow-orange that I consider it color theory outlier. Like, real talk, what do yellow-orange arms mean for the data, Anna? Tattoo-having people are known to get more tattoos. This is normal. RG and OS have so many more tattoos now than in Season 2 that Season 7 and 8 Buck and Eddie look like they have skin conditions that stop at their watch-straps and somehow in Season 8 RG is getting forehead-only orange foundation? Listen, I consider myself fandom-standard unhinged, not completely deranged, but like the full body Ken-doll spray tan on OS in Masks (8x05) has pushed me over the edge.

My Ted Talk is titled "Hey, ABC: Buddie = Fiscal Responsibility" because, wtf, just stop paying superfluous guest actors to be love interests and let the 2 mains shack up like God T*m M*near intended. (I lowkey think that smart cookie JLH is a girlboss genius who tied herself to KC, yeah yeah because of chemistry, Madney forever, of course, but also as job security when she said that Chimney was what she wanted for Maddie.) Seriously, let's reallocate the bullshit love interest slush fund money and bring the kid home. I hardcore head canon that Ravi saw Gerrard from the buffet line at the medal ceremony and just noped the fuck out of there indefinitely.

I'm just gonna leave this all here and back away because I've maxed out on all the human/social interaction accepted fandom love language of hyperbolic ranting that I can partake in before I turn into a full-blown thunderstorm chihuahua.

When someone says they like my characterization, I ascend to a better plane of existence. Honestly, the cock fight calls is really something else kspskapakoaa and they just didn't bother checking if they had written someone off before using the turnout because they needed more people there I guess.

The tattoos one had me howling tho, the cover-up of Ryan's hand tattoo this season has been AWFUL and the fact that they just wax Oliver all over to cover him in orange foundation drives me nuts, like please, just let them have the tattoos. (I was actually informed that they would need to license the tattoo from the artist for every use of it depending on the tattoos they decide to keep and that's probably why don't let them keep them, but if we are not letting them keep them, please color match better).

We don’t play the game, Anon, so the EN release doesn’t really concern us; we haven’t watched book 7 yet at all.

But when we do, I’m pretty sure I will draw at least some of the characters from it! Definitely more Meleanor and definitely Sebek’s grandpa because how fucking dares he be voiced by Koyasu of all people. I kind of wanted to draw him even before that point (just like Meleanor, I couldn’t resist, to be honest lol), but didn’t really have time for him…

I agree with you, second Anon! We talked about it in this reply, but very briefly.

Whether it’s Jade or Floyd who brings Vil to their house, Papa Leech is going to be super excited because he’d recognise the boy instantly. Somehow, their dinner with the Leech parents would end up looking more like a handshake event lol With Papa Leech asking a lot of questions about Eric and stuff. Even if Vil isn’t dating any of his sons, just the fact that he is their senpai would make Papa Leech super excited. Mama Leech would probably apologise for his behavior, but not in a genuine way, but just to make the situation even more awkward for Vil. Thank god Vil knows how to handle it… probably… maybe…

Vil would also make such a pretty betta merman…

But ALSO!!! If Floyd or Jade (or both) bring Idia to meet their parents, Idia would be absolutely terrified; he would be terrified either way, but the Leech parents are especially intimidating and scary. But they would love him a lot! Not only because he is the Shroud’s oldest boy (connections are important), but because of how his demeanor and his frankly exciting sparkly look. They would stare at him without blinking, showering him with attention. And they would tease him a lot, maybe even more that they would tease Riddle. Because Riddle is just an overly serious baby, but Idia? He is so visibly uncomfortable and scared; teasing him is absolutely priceless. Papa Leech would sit very close to him and look very intimidating, maybe touch his hair, ask him what he is so scared of. Ask about which one of their sons Idia likes the most (neither… please let him go…), a lot of other questions that sound like “there is no correct answer, you are screwed either way, but I am having fun, so you’ll at least survive maybe”. And then Mama Leech would tell Papa Leech not to freak out this poor boy, start stroking Idia’s hand, talk to him in a sweet motherly tone that doesn’t sound even remotely comforting. Somehow… these two are even worse than Jade and Floyd…

Ellie and you had been dating for roughly three years, and you had just moved in together last week. Ellie knew that you enjoyed a drink or two, during dinner, parties, or just when relaxing, but it wasn't until you started living together that she realized how much you relied on alcohol to cope with stress and anxiety.

Ellie started to worry about your drinking quickly, so she brought it up with you. At first, you were defensive and dismissive, saying that you had everything under control. But it soon became clear that you didn't.

One night, you came home late from work, clearly drunk. Stumbling through the kitchen, knocking over a chair, you went to hug your girlfriend, Ellie could smell the alcohol on your breath.

She’s had enough.

"We need to talk," she says, pushing you off of her.

You sigh, clumsily picking up the collapsed chair and sitting down. "I know," you said. "I've been trying to quit, but it's harder than I imagined."

Ellie kneels down in front of you. "I'm here for you," she softly rests her hand on your knee. "We can do this together."

You hang your head. "I want to quit," you whisper. "I really do. But every time I try, I end up drinking again."

Ellie sees a tear fall from your eye. She knows that you're struggling, and she wants to help.

"Have you ever thought about going to Alcoholics Anonymous?" she asks.

You look up at her skeptically. "I don't know about that," you say. "I don't want to be one of those people who go to meetings all the time."

She lightly rubs your knee, "It's worth a try," she says. "It's a safe space where you can talk about your struggles and get support from people who understand what you're going through."

You think about it for a moment. "Okay," you finally say. "I'll go to one meeting with you, but that's it."

Ellie smiles. "That's all I'm asking for.”

The next week, you and Ellie head off to your first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting together. As you walk into the small, dimly lit room, you feel your nerves building. You don’t know what to expect, and you weren't sure if you were ready to open up about your struggles with addiction.

The group leader welcomes everyone and explains how the meeting is going to work. Then, she invites the attendees to introduce themselves and share their stories.

One by one, people stand up and talk about their experiences. Some had been sober for years, while others were new to the program. You listened carefully, feeling a sense of belonging with the other attendees.

When it is your turn to speak, you stand up slowly, taking a deep breath and looking around the room. "Hi, my name is y/n, and I'm an alcoholic.”

The words feel heavy in your mouth, but you managed to push through. “I have been drinking for as long as I can remember.” you take a deep breath before continuing. “It started with a few drinks after work, just to take the edge off. But before I knew it the few drinks after work turned into a few drinks too many, and then I couldn’t get through the day without the alcohol.”

Looking to your left you see Ellie with a sad smile on her face, she reaches up and takes your hand. You smile down at her before continuing. “I have tried to quit on my own… although it never lasted long… The cravings would come back, stronger and I would give in, telling myself that just… one more drink wouldn’t hurt.” Ellie softly squeezes your hand. “But it did hurt, not only me but my girlfriend. She would come home to me drunk on the couch and I could see the pain she held as she watched me slowly disappear due to my addiction.” Swallowing the lump in your throat you look down at your feet, “They say the first step is realizing you have a problem… I have a problem… and I want to try to get sober”

When the meeting was over, Ellie and you stayed behind to chat with some of the other attendees. You exchanged phone numbers and email addresses, you even found a sponsor, a guy named Jesse.

As you walk out of the meeting with Ellie, you feel a weight lifting off your shoulders. You turn to Ellie, "I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad we went to that meeting together.”

Ellie smiles softly, giving you a kiss. "I'm proud of you," she leans into your side. "And I'm here for you every step of the way."

aaah thank you so much 🌙 anon!! i look forward to dtd tuesdays as well, fingers crossed that i am able to write everything within the one week timeframe 🤞🏻 also do you mean writing process or the brainstorming process? i’ll answer both just in case hehe. my writing process is pretty straightforward: i jot down any ideas i get in bullet points or checklists, and then i decide where i want to put those scenes (ex. like is it gonna be on ch15 or 16?) and i take very heavy inspiration from songs! not always from the lyrics itself, but mostly about what the songs make me feel, so angsty playlists it is.

for the brainstorming process though, it took me months. its quite a huge world with many characters and i needed everyone to have their own stories, but because its an x reader fanfic, i decided not to give too much screentime (?) to all characters and focus more on the main pairings. until now i’m still putting together ideas for dtd so its not a polished fic at all 🥲 i had so many outlines and drafts for dtd already but i keep scrapping it up sooo... the ‘process’ is kinda messy and i just do whatever i feel like 💫

This Anon had a lot of nerve, coming to your blog, Hologramcowboy, and telling you the "right way" to appreciate someone. This is what I hate about fandom, especially among AAs. You either have to worship someone (Jensen) and go around saying they are perfect and policing anyone who says otherwise (even your fellow fans), and you are either lying (because you know he isn’t perfect) or your delusional (because you think he is). This is not exactly healthy or a good use of your time.

Hey Anon! There’s this thing called nuance and honesty. Maybe you should acquaint yourself with both.

I still like Jensen despite hearing things that I don’t love about his behavior, but I’m not his friend, I’m just a casual fan. I don’t need to approve of everything he does to still enjoy watching him on a show or at a con. But, I don’t look to celebrities as my role models or to be the object (Kets fave it, AAs see Jensen as an object) my life revolves around either. His accomplishments are not my accomplishments, and I don’t act like they are. There isn’t a "right way" to be a fan of someone, and the only wrong ways are stalking or obsessing to the point if it impairing your life. Get some chill.

As for his singing … it isn’t rude to say he has a nice voice when he’s singing on key. This is simple honesty. I’m not well trained as a singer, and the last singing I dd in any sort of formal way was when I was a kid, but I have ears. Since cons have started up agsin, Jensen has been overextending his voice or off tune quite often. This is just fact. No one is saying you can’t still enjoy him or think he puts on a fun show, but objectively speaking, the singing is not technically great. In Hawaii for example, the first song he sang sounded pretty good to me and I enjoyed it, but the second, I could hear several off notes and I didn’t enjoy it as much. Nuance is a thing.

Anon, you expressed your view so elegantly and beautifully. 🥰 Exactly, no one here is saying people can't enjoy or love Jensen, we're just acknowledging that he could stand to grow vocally and performance wise. Like any artist, there's always new level to reach.

Hi Clef! When you first started out drawing fanart, what were your main goals at that time and what kept you going? Did you practice art formally alongside drawing fanart or did your fanarts also serve as practice sessions? Were your practices focused like drawing hands only or just clothes only? I looked at your old art until now from your archive and the improvement is amazing.. Thanks for being an inspiration to all of us, and I wish you all the best in your future career! My main goal when I first started drawing is basically to draw what I was obsessed with at the time, I started taking art seriously in middle school when I first made a short comic of my cat OC (whose design is a rip off of one of the characters in puku puku tennen kairanban manga) and showed it to my friends, they liked it and always asked me to make more.

Then in 8th grade my fondness for comic and art grew much more because my dad finally let me buy some manga at the bookstore (when I was in elementary school I had to hide this 90s shojo manga because I didn't want my parents to know I read such things), plus I shared the same interest with a close friend in middle school so I just kept making more and more comics of this series we liked, and idk, it just made me happy in some way, I got to draw my favorite characters, was able to realize this random scenario of said characters in my head, and made my friend happy on top of that.

I'm majoring in graphic design but I'm actually more interested in illustration and comic, so drawing fanart is like escapism for me because none of the subjects I took ever let me express my specific interest (I took a comic subject in the 7th semester and it was the only moment I could draw what I really wanted without the professors bashing me, I was even able to slip a Reigen cameo in one of the assignments)

And not gonna lie I think college didn't really help me much in terms of improving my drawing skill because they didn't teach us anything about the basics of illustration since the courses I was taking put more emphasis on graphic design, it DID help me hone the compositioning skill however. I guess the stress college has put me in made draw more fanart thus indirectly becoming a practice in and of itself.

And for the practice, I think you can say that, I didn't try to improve the big picture as a whole, instead it's done bits by bits, realizing mistakes once I'm able to observe things clearer and better. I remember when I was into AA I always drew the male bodies shaping like fridges and I didn't see anything wrong with it, but when I got into DGS I started to be able to see a mistake in that. I even realized the Reigen drawing above has bad a proportion even tho it seemed fine to me before.

I'm sorry if it gets a bit long, but it makes me happy that you're curious about these 🥰

This is such a difficult question to answer, I can’t pick 😭 Pretty much every title that we watch or read or play has a bunch of characters that I adore drawing, but I guess I gravitate towards characters with long hair and unusual hairstyles or outfits?? I also feel the urge to try to draw a character when they are out of my comfort zone, which doesn’t mean that I always do it or good at it, but I always have fun drawing stuff in a different art style (like the guys from Scott Pilgrim),with complicated outfits (like Barok van Zieks) or with mechanic parts (like Ortho!)… but the last one is pretty recent, I just noticed that I kind of enjoy drawing it. I guess I love a challenge? In a way? It’s just more fun that way.

By my comfort type of character and a default option would be a gloomy boy/girl in a hoody, my heart is always smiling whenever I draw this type.

Examples of some of my faves throughout the years (without twst): Levi (SnK), Ainosuke (sk8), Killua (HxH), Shiroba (DMMD), Apollo Justice (AA), Geto (JJK)… this is just a few of them.

I also still think that Prussia from Hetalia is our ultimate boy because I’ve been drawing him for about 15 years now lol

I still giggle every time I think about how we ended up with poor Riddle being surrounded by busty girls, I swear it wasn’t intentional. But the more I think about it, the funnier and more Freudian it gets… what an aggressive way to heal mommy issues and an acute deficiency of tight hugs.

About Daisy and Seb... they did play it up a bit, but his eyes were like so shiny every time she spoke. I remember a random video I can't find now when he helped her with her skort/dress after they posed together. He was so careful with her.

Also him bringing up his age for no reason (I told Daisy I'm turning 40 in August), knowing she'd laugh a bit in an interview :))

Obviously they played a bit to promote, but their chemsitry and the way he looked at her felt so personal. Like.. he was agreeing uncounciously to everything she was saying. They are both introvert dorks, people pleasers, only kids who put their career first (plus 80s music lovers ofc). I listened to the Daisy podcast an anon sent here and holy shiiiiit they are so similar in so many aspects.

Also, the sexual tension was visible even when they tried to be just friendly... like damnnn. They crushed on each other a lot while promoting. Which is funny, because he was already with Annabelle actually and most people don't know this :))

I think they would have at least hooked up if he hadn't cared so much about appearances (not wanting to be seen aa the guy who goes for younger women even though I doubt most people would've thought that. I think most would have thought it's just PR)

And yes to the anon that talked about the sub dom vibes... it's so in the air, Idk how to explain it.

Long story short, I think they were promoting obviously but they were also into each other for real but did not risk it.
