Current skincare routine

i have sensitive skin that leans oily

Morning:

Cleanse - cetaphil hydrating cream to foam cleanser

Tone - cosrx propolis synergy toner

Serum - vitamin c serum - brand varies as long as its a liquid

Moisturize - cera ve for normal to dry skin

Eye cream -Bondi sands eye spy (i love the brightening)

Sunscreen - Australian gold botanical 50 tinted mineral sunscreen

Evening:

Cleanse as above

Tone as above except 1x per week - Paula’s choice BHA/AHA toner - skip retinol on this day

Retinol serum - previously used cera ve now using pixi - will prob try something ‘stronger’ next since i tolerate these very well - some nights i will just use A313 on dry toned skin and skip the rest

Moisturize as above

Eye cream - any (they don’t do much - i grab whats on sale)

Sleep mask - about 3x per weeks - leneige water sleep mask, doppeltree, trying leneige cica mask next

Lip mask - carenel berry

I tried cosrx snail mucin and was in denial that it was breaking me out 😔 also tried oil cleansing with burts bees oil cleanser and my skin does not seem to like any excess oil. I use jojoba oil to remove my makeup and for gua sha before cleansing and that works well

Skincare is very trial and error for me due to my sensitive skin and this is what seems to work best right now and i can say that i feel like my skin is kept in great condition. If i add too many new things, it freaks out

The Ordinary has 23% off all their products for the entire month of November, so here’s an update on the Azelaic Acid that everyone bought and some other Ordinary reviews of products I’ve tried. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Azelaic Acid is in a silicone/water-based formula, very much like their vitamin C, and I don’t love it. The packaging keeps the formula stable but it has a tendency to pill, depending on what other creams you’re applying on top. I have made this work for me. Apply right before sunscreen, right after retinol and DON’T rub it in. Just let it be and it won’t pill. I apply sunscreen but just glide it on and let it set. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I really like using it at night, on top of my retinol. If you have the A313 retinoid, try it with that. The A313 is a water-based pomade so it works well with this "suspension" formula. I know that if you're using the Azelaic acid on top you are technically "buffering" it which means that it has to go through another product before it gets to your skin, but I've still noticed a difference on my skin when I do this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve also used the Salicylic Acid 2% Masque which is a gel texture and has charcoal and kaolin to help absorb oil and keep skin smooth and clear. You put it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you are going to get something, I highly recommend the Density Serum and the Squalane cleanser. The scalp serum is light and not greasy, and the cleanser melts everything off. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m going to finish the Azelaic Acid but I likely won’t repurchase it. Or maybe I will. Or maybe I will get distracted or maybe I'll try to finish all the other skincare I have on the go right now. I would like a product that has all the brightening ingredients in it so that I can just use one thing instead of so many. Have you got a favourite Deciem product that you think I should try?
