Kuroko no basket - 10/10 This is the second sport animes i watched in the past AND DAMN THIS IS GOOD ASF! It may be unrealistic(cause of the zone and other things) but i like the light moods and relationships they have here. The ending tho i'ma cry my ass of-

Slam dunk - 10/10 I havent finished this yet but uhm.... All i can say is this is more realistic compared to kuroko no basket... And also they all be relatable asf- This one deals with darker themes

Haikyuu - 999/10 idk what to say abt this one yet i have many things to say... I fking love this anime!!! First of all, The relationships, animations, battles, and backstory are damn good. I remember i used to watch this anime in like- 3 am in the morning 💀

Spy X Family - 9/10.... NOW NOW PLZ CALM DOWN- 😭😭😭 This is my opinion and i dont want y'all to attack me with this one- But for me... I think spy x family is kinda.... Uhm... Overhyped..? I'm not saying i dont like it! But its more of overhyped for me. I saw the comments first and they were all damn hyped.. so i have high expectations... But when i watched the anime i kind off didn't got the uhmm.. how do i say this.... The vibes? I dunno- but overall the animations and their family are so damn sweet 😭

ok more au stuff sorry kirpy. i wish i would daydream about anything else as much as i do about my shit but.

team naruto goes back in time arc in my au. as in, team naruto (naruto, irukas son aoki, kakashi son obito, gais daughter mai) find themself accidentally back in time (ups!). first thing naruto does is pull the hairband ouf of aokis hair and give obito a braid so that both boys look less like their fathers. he also tells obito to not tell anyone his name. they then scatter to find a way back

aoki meets his parents together at first and he is kind of suprised what kind of personality his father is, but even more that he and aori just like tease each other relentlessly, sort of like siblings would and it seems even harder for him to understand why they got married eventually?? (nto that they really understand it either) - @kankuroplease

mai meets her father first with her grandfather dai and she is so excited to see them because they are all sh e ever thought theyd be. gai is exactly the same as now, just he still has a normal leg. she meets her mother later, which is an experience, because its before kaiya loses everyone and falls to depression so she is a very happy, very normal girl. mai and her even like talk to each other a little (@foolishk)

obito meets his namesake first. its insane for him because he recognises (u) obito from pictures but now he can talk to him. he says his name is kouki, which is as he knows his grandfathers name. he eventually gets to meet kakashi too and is like.. terrified of him adslkhfas its hard for (h) obito to imagine how this like grumpy lil kid will turn into his very kind father. sayuri tho is even worse because she is not snappy and snarky but like very happy go lucky and hanging constantly at his fathers heal. (h) obito gets to see (u) obito interact with both his parents and that is very important to him. he also meets his grandfather and learns why sayuri hates the uchiha so much

naruto is running around trying to get his team out of trouble but runs into kushina an dminato quite quickly. he follows them a little and watches them interact. it makes him long to talk to them, not only because boruto and hima are already alive and having them meet their grandparents would be such a gift, but also because naruto is poised to become hokage very soon and so having a talk with his parents, an encouraging word perhaps would be so important

Abrupt change of topic time: narutos outfit in the 1st volume in the series is the best,jacket and goggles were amazing and having Japanese street-wear as the basis for his design should have stayed bc i think his shipuuden outfit was boring. But I guess it's less lines to draw and animate so i guess i should be thankful they didn't go the dbz route ,where goku just had his clothes torn off constantly so they wouldn't have to keep drawing the symbol on his gi or something? I might b misremembering that though.

Yeah these "leaks" do seem to be leading to that assumption. Now i havent watched Boruto, nor Naruto in years (ah Kakashi is such a SNACK tho, takes me back) but at least with Boruto it made sense to make a continuation as its very much "life goes on" for the original characters and overall plot/super-ninja-universe (they marry, have a family with people they actually developed relationships with and are NAMED).

But this AOT sequel, if following the descendants of Mikasa & Jean (or Farmer-kun 2.0?) and what, Historia "i totally got sidelined in the last arc" & Farmer-kun? Like...why the fuck would anyone care? Because titans?? The story stopped caring about titans forever ago, more background dressing than anything....just like Walking Dead it wasn't zombies that made the story compelling but rather the characters/human vs human interactions (well, initially anyway).

Isayama straight up not only torturing the fanbase but also his own story and characters as well- to DEATH. Still struggling to make sense of these choices...but i dunno maybe sadism is his kink?? who knows

Now i for one have no interest in wasting my time on a joyless cashgrab but i'd be lying if i said i wasnt curious to see how it will be received by the fandom as a whole, if it does come to fruition.

berserk. both the 90s / new remake are great. there’s also movies that go through the entire story arc. but this one is VERY dark & very graphic. 

attack on titan. AMAZING. 

goblin slayer. so fucking good. 10/10. still waiting on the next season.

blood+ great story with a great love story. 

elfen lied. creepy and fantastic. 

another. i dont think this one was as graphic, but creepy. i havent seen it in a while though so i could be wrong. 

re:zero. a thriller sort of anime with some graphic content. 

boku dake ga inai machi / erased. HOLY SHIT SO GOOD. main character can reset 7min before accidents happen & he sets out to find out what happens to a childhood friend. 

higurashi no naku koro ni kai. cute killer girls. kind of dated, but still worth the watch. has amazing music. 

kiseijuu sei no kakuritsu 

slice of life / chances are it will destroy your life & make you cry 

 koe no katachi / a silent voice. it’s about bullying & the aftermath of it.

kimi no na wa / your name. this one is a movie. boy and girl wake up in each other’s bodies.

ao haru ride. SOOOOOOO GOOD HOLY SHIT. incredible love story. incredible characters. fantastic all around

ano hi mita hana no namae wo bokutachi wa mada shiranai. be prepared to cry many tears. a story about friendship & ghosts. 

your lie in april. i wasn’t okay for hours after finishing this one. truly a beautiful story. also, lots of tears. 

5 centimeters per second. story of friends who are forced apart due to family moves. fantastic. 

kimi no suizou wo tabetai / i want to eat your pancreas. MANY TEARS, SOOO GOOOOOOOOD. also a movie. 

nagi no asu kara. beautiful animation, wonderful story. about people who live under the sea and on land. 

fruits basket 2019 reboot. this is my first time enjoying this series. i love it. cute animation, awesome story. 

action anime (could have hints of violence but not like the first list)

akatsuki no yona / yona of the dawn. SO GOOD. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW GOOD THIS ONE IS. it only has one season, but the manga? read it if you enjoy the first season. it’s about a spoiled pampered princess & her forever loyal bodyguard + the loyal “dragons” that come to follow her. lots of action, romance, and amazing relationships between the entire cast of characters. 

seirei no moribito. female lead character protecting a royal boy. fantastic.

the rising of the shield hero SOOOOO GOOD. 

demon slayer. brother sets out to save his sister. it’s a nice story. great animation. 

fate / zero. lots of seasons + a movie or two. has a touch of history. 

sword art online. just the first two seasons. 

is it wrong to try and pick up girls in a dungeon? on the side. this one is the same story as  this one  just from another point of view. both are good. 

classic anime that everyone should watch just because 

sailor moon / sailor moon crystal. crystal has done through infinity arc & the dream arc is coming next fall. it follows the manga a lot closer than the 90s anime ever did and even if a lot of people didn’t like the animation, i loved it. especially for the second season / r arc. 

inuyasha. fantastic story, amazing love story. the characters are great. and despite being older, it doesnt feel dated. the final arc was fantastic & tugged at my heartstrings over and over again

trigun. i havent watched this one in YEARS but i always enjoyed it. probably a little dated by now.

yu yu hakusho. also a little dated, im here still hoping for a reboot someday. 

chobits. really cute!!

naruto shippuden. literally no reason to watch naruto (220 episodes lmao) because a quick google search would explain the story. just watch shippuden but for the love of god skip the filler  there’s also a bunch of movies. dont bother with boruto. also has amazing openings/endings. 

rurouni kenshin / samurai x. you can honestly jsut watch the movies. ESPECIALLY TRUST & BETRAYAL. that movie is one of my favorites. i actually rewatched this series… two summers ago? its held up well despite being older.

love so life. age difference romance. a high school student is the babysitter for two adorable twins that are being raised by their uncle. literally so good. 

faster than a kiss. another age difference romance. a teen girl and her baby brother are orphaned and eventually alone. her teacher takes them in. another amazing story.

@nullverum​ boss was like one of the first ndrv3 blogs i interacted with long before the game had its official english release. i remember i made a post a while before saying that i thought ouma/nami would be a strange but cute brotp and hell! i was absolutely right in every way. its even funnier upon finding out ou/ma kind of plays the na/nami role just as much as the ko/maeda role in actuality (he’s gotta do both since a CERTAIN SOMEONE gets fridged at the beginning), so they’re surprisingly good (bad, actually) for each other.

no I dont ahh its too childish and fillery for my taste. I am on 4G and i’m using my data to read and watch Haikyuu!! plus update my tumblr and study (ill watch gaiden when the whole thing is out when im back home with stable wifi). From what i’ve seen i’d give the animated rendition a 5/10. I am not impressed tbh, the animation style after the last kept going down hill and it’s at lowest point rn. The characters look nothing like their manga counterparts and they aren’t even trying to make them look better, the designs are messed up, the animation is so stiff it’s like you can TELL they used the same drawing and frames to avoid spending money. I am beyond done with SP. That scene with Sarada in the library is just unnecessarily stupid and makes no sense and the lead up to gaiden just shat on ss with the 2 minute date bullshit. People bitch that people who complain are setting the bar too high but? do these people even WATCH anime? Naruto has been shat on by the rest of the anime community for its shitty animation quality, inconsistent fillers and annoying fan base.  

‘they just want to meet a weekly deadline!’ then fucking WAIT like other animation studios do…don’t fuck up kishimotos immaculate art, dont destory Tokyo Ghouls story in s2 and don’t help fuel Bleach’s shipping wars you unprofessional shit house. Why are anime like SNK, BNHA and Haikyuu!! held at such high standards? They give themselves time to ensure the best project execution. I am not asking SP to wait 90 years like SNK but holy fuck the amount of fillers and shitty animation quality is a viral joke at this point..RIGHT after the wedding episodes (which were made to be ugly comic relief style to avoid budget overload) boruto was released which already meant screwed up stiff frame animation that makes me so annoyed because SP CAN do better..they did some crisp frames for bleach, some beautiful fluid fights in naruto, some seamless frames in TG and all in all have had some great graphics. If they can pull some amazing animations like that then how good will they be if they fucking WAIT and do the simplest job- give people what’s in the manga since you are shitty writers and animate to the best of their capacity. Stop with the excessive fillers that shit on characters and add plot holes to the original work that the author worked so hard on and simply do your god damn job.

A simple example since -ic yall havent noticed ive been wanking the haikyuu!! series a lot lately- you started this rant, lets look at these two animation frames of 2 hinatas, one more superior than the other

see how the animation literally focuses on one drawing, moving the frame and adding that effect to give the LEAST amount of effort into the animation? Anime is meant to be pretty and fluid, this is literally just MOVING LINES.

look at this fluid ass eye shot where EVERYTHING is thought out, down to the wind motions moving the hair as he jumps. There is more than one drawing of the eye to give the scene fluidity and even the ‘still’ frames such as his hair are drawn more than once to make them move seamlessly and give them kinetic momentum. The hair moves with the wind and the eye focuses on the enemy as he moves. Thats an animation.

In fact, further wanking haikyuu!! (and literally any other series with a studio that gives a shit) here is a fun fact: in an animation of orange boys eyes, they are made to move with MULTIPLE different drawings, as much as SIXTY different drawings for an animation that lasts less than 5 seconds…and then when the studio goes into one drawing animations they make sure to add movements, shadings and vibrant backgrounds to still make everything look appeasing to the eye and fluid. Compare that to SP who do one drawing FULL BODY frames and do their best to avoid spending time and money to yield results that are as beautiful as THIS

In that jump scene the camera angle and fade out is literally just made to symbolize one of the characters view of the match as he is so absorbed into giving the jumping kid the ball and is so singularly focused on the ball…this goes FULL circle (yes they even kept that much attention to detail in mind) when the match is then shown in an objective manner for the audience with the camera angle showing us the height of his jump and it shaking to show us the impact of it all and then fades out again because orange kid is focusing as he spikes the ball…it’s literally a beautiful piece of animation. They went as far as animating an exaggerated idealized CORRECT and accurate to real life volleyball pose..the attention to detail pays off immensely. 

Even when on a budget, anime is the art of animation..the entire genre of media is based on aesthetic animation. Every shading, shadow, camera angle given by the director, frame and drawing makes a huge difference to the visual story telling aspect of the story. SP not only fucks up the basic definition of an anime but they ALSO add their shitty writing to top it off.

I don't know about you, but to me it seems like the Yamanaka is a really affectionate family. Like, every picture we see of them there's a lot of physical contact (the one in the latest ending, Ino and Sai back to back in the previous one) and also the way Sai talks about Inojin ('I know your one of Inojin friends etc') and I love it. Compare them with other families, for ex the Nara. Nothing against them, that's just the way they are and they are beautiful like that, but the difference is huge.

True tho! Although we havent got their moment (only sai and inojin) yet, Ive already can feel it, this lovely family. Whatever headcanon or picture of them will not contradict anything from canon, 

I mean like, headcanon Sai being caring to his family-is it Sai ooc? I dont think so since we see that Sai personality had change in Boruto. And he learn this from Ino- that might be true, as a gf/wife ino and as someone that always care about others with her mind ability, she must understand sai circumstances most.

Sai talks about Inojin (‘I know your one of Inojin friends etc’) And during first round chunnin exam, Inojin states that only his father could come up with such an idea, and when he comment his father taste of art. They look really close and I love it too!

Compare them with other families, for example the Nara. Nothing against them, that’s just the way they are and they are beautiful like that, but the difference is huge. Yup, it might be because we know shikamaru quite a lot and he marrying Temari, we can guess how Nara family might be. But of course, it still lovely and enjoyable to watch.

Unlike Yamanaka family, its interesting to know what Sai might do as father and husband. And how Ino will react to that. And Inojin who have both personality make both Saiino life more cheerful. Seriously, both of them deserve happiness and deserve each other (since they had experienced been abandon by people that they treat as friend)

And for me, they are definition of perfect happy family which I cant find any trouble that might happen between them. And I think its bit hard for Inojin to be main unlike other character. 

Such us Shikadai, for me, he will make an interesting main character after boruto and himawari. Like whether or not he (konoha shinobi) take kazekage position if they want to consider him, Gaara’s nephew. His story will be interesting along with shinki (gaara adoptive son that have possibility to be kazekage too), yodo and araya.

And whats wrong being normal, perfect and lovely family (like Yamanaka family) right? Sometimes its better watch them smile and hug each other or eat ice cream at park than facing lots of problems.

im literally only like 40 minutes into the boruto movie (had to rush off to therapy suddenly bc bad time management) and havent seen any of the new anime yet (probably wont hardcore watch it idk) but ive gathered a few memories of what actually happened in my past life

the main thing is naruto and i got married tbh and idk what happened wrt his blood related kids but i know for sure i adopted shinki also he’s very dear to me and when it comes to the kishimoto-canon boruto stuff he’s like the only person im willing to slog thru it all for content of

in my canon also temari and shikamaru Did get married and have shikadai but, temari didn’t like move to konoha and become a housewife, she was still a powerful force in suna and travelled back and forth when she could and shikadai mainly stayed in konoha with his dad

similarly, i mostly stayed in suna (tho was a bit more bound to it than temari was bc kazekage duties) and shinki stayed with me but we’d travel to konoha when we could and naruto would come over to suna as much as possible.. w/ all naruto’s shadow clones it was easier for him to travel to us than vice versa, and both of us + temari primarily utilized some sort of teleportation jutsu for efficiency

so rlly rn as im working thru this stuff i mostly only care about team shinki mfdgjkdh and secondarily temari and my new relatives on that side but im still irate about how they portray it in the series.. at least i kno the Truth tho

in the canon that i remember the uzumaki-kazekage clan-nara extended family was real and good and a happy ending..

Hello!! Im so sorry i havent sent u any asks in the past few days!! lifes been a bit busy but at least now exam season is almost over and its the weekend! i used to be really into naruto and fairy tale, but also stuff like kaichu wa maid sama and tokyo ghoul! i really want to rewatch naruto at some point (i loved gaara! ^^) what animes are u into? do u have any recommendations or all time favs? and whenever i go onto yt i just watch funny vids and then suddenly 2 hours passed...

and ooo those anime are classics!!! kaichu wa maid sama was the first anime i watched (on youtube in parts) before i even knew what an anime was?? i watched naruto when it would show on tv (so it was the dub) but i stopped watching tv after awhile so i never really finished the series? i am watching boruto though!! 

tokyo ghoul is getting another season, from what i heard!! the manga is still ongoing but its way ahead of what the new season will be lmao

as for recommendations id really recommend haikyuu!! (a sports anime, about volleyball) and maybe boku no hero academia (your typical shounen series, its about heros!!) hq wasnt the first anime i got into consciously (thatd be free!) but its really that anime which drew me in?? its helped me make a bunch of friends on here and so im rly grateful for that, the storyline is extremely ?? its great honestly?? it really keeps you at the edge of your seat!! bnha is charming in its own way too as theres a character whos training to be a pro hero but the way he acts is of that of a villain? hes mean and harsh which is something i really like too because its not like he needs to change but he does get better but the whole attitude he has remains, its very realistic!! i love all the characters in both series so i really would recommend both!! watch it when you have time :-o

if you want to read a rant that started with talking about fictional crushes and then went to my past of writing fanfics, you should look under the cut

let me tell you a story about one of my first fictional crushes, or rather very first anime crush... back then when i was watching naruto only when i remembered and i was mainly watching it around their chunin exam, so up to just a bit past sasuke leaving and it was only those episodes, i had a crush on sasuke, but then when i started reading the manga back in 2013 i started seeing just how much of an asshole he was most of the time and i started liking kiba waaaaaaaaaaay more, like kiba is still my favourite and i get excited for even the smallest of cameos on boruto (which has been like only once or twice) but anyway, as i was watching the last boruto episode, i felt like sasuke was finally likable to me after a while, i mean i cant say i really hated him but just didn’t particularly prefer him, like i even had a gaara fan fic where he was in a love square??? idk how to call that, but i cringe at it tbh, i also had a kiba fan fic that i never finished and it was also so weak cause it was my first one in english, and my favourite naruto one was a modern deidara fanfic which i havent finished, heck i havent even gotten to the part where they get together, like the last part is she’s dating hidan and deidara kisses her one night and when she tells hidan that he slaps her and then punches deidara and now her whole relationship with the akatsuki is in trouble and if they stop being her friends she wont have any friends and what a cliffhanger... but then i also had a pirate hetalia one which is probably my favourite and it was with spain and honestly it also was never finished but it was so good, i mean there are some cringe and stupid parts because its been a while and just like yeah... but don’t make me start on my one shots boy were they cringe because they were so short and bleh without... but then i also had a 5sos fan fic which i feel so awkward about now but it wasn’t that bad, and i had a number of started ones but never even had one chapter of them properly done... kind of miss my fic writing days, but kind of stopped writing when i stopped reading them because i was getting older and quotev was limited and i wasnt really up to reading fan fics by twelve year olds and when i found out about the fan fics on tumblr which i think are kind of higher quality i dont feel like reading them anymore and i think its also because im so deep in rp that i sometimes wish i had a say in it to make it more likable to me
