Best part about writing fiction is when a new character appears. When I sat down this morning, I didn't know this guy. But now he's an integral part of the narrative. Always been there, in fact. I just hadn't met him yet.

Oh hey, you play Pokémon ttrpg stuff? That's cool, tried it once myself but the system we used felt pretty stifling. What system do you use?

I play with @cerinslair and he uses the old Pokémon Tabletop United 1.05 ruleset (I think?). It can be a lot but that's partly because a) most battles are double battles so combat ends up taking that much longer and b) I'm playing with a group that I previously played 3.5e with, which. Is also kind of a lot lol but Cerin's been working with us to pare down the amount of time and work it all takes! We're having a lot of fun even if the system was NOT made for an eight-badge-gym-challenge-and-champion format game lol. I'm wanting to run a smaller campaign myself at some point, debating if I wanna use the modified system that we're using for this campaign or something else...but I'm not doing anything there besides turning it over in my head, so.

today i discovered there's a pokemon called Klinklang and that is such a funny word it brought me immense joy so thought id share

it’s even better than that!! Klinklang is the final evolution of two other pokemon

the first one is called Klink (can you tell where this is going already? 😉)

then this guy(s??) evolves into… guess what 🥰 Klang!!

so their final evolution is just those two names mushed together, which is both incredibly stupid and a stroke of pure genius that will never be repeated

(also the japanese name is Gigigiaru, which is just a nice word to pronounce 🥰🥰)
