Honestly a sorry from Curly would mean nothing to Anya.

I’m not saying she wouldn’t want to hear it, it’s a hollow vindication. She told him and he couldn’t hear her. He saw it and he couldn’t understand it. They both experienced it and he should apologize that it took that for him to get it. She already knows he’s sorry but what’s the point if neither of them can do anything about it? It’s earnest but at the same time what she wants an apology for is what Curlu can’t apologize for.

He can’t be sorry for what happened to her even if he is. Even if he carries that guilt with him until the day he dies it’s not all his to bare. The most heinous parts aren’t his weight even if he tries to balance it. A part of her bitterness is the fact he can’t be sorry for it all. She can’t just direct it all towards him even if she wants to. She was failed in so many ways by all of them. It hurts with him the most cause he had the power but they all did nothing in the grand scheme of things.

The one person who should apologize would never and could never, it’s not something you can be sorry for. She wants an apology, she needs one but what would it fix?

At the end of the day, Everyone was happy and got what they wanted. MC was tired and worn out but, seeing them enjoy the date they had planned was well worth it.

On my supernatural rewatch, I've noticed some things that I viewed differently as a kid watching this:

When I was younger, I had the perception that generally speaking Sam and Dean got along except for some notable instances. This is not true, actually they never get along, rarely get along. They love each other, sure, but I can't tell if they ever liked each other. There's literally so much baggage between the two from episode 1, and I'm not sure it ever gets better, just worse.

I find Dean mostly incredibly annoying, I didn't used to, but he's so dismissive about his brother and so unreasonably loyal to his dead beat dad. That said, I get the character direction of it at, I still appreciate who he is. I think as the seasons progress I'll like him more later.

God, there's just SO much toxic masculinity. Makes me want to blow my brains out. It's so annoying. Which is part of what makes Dean so frustrating to watch, theres so much of the in universe characters that encourage this shit.

It was fun to watch Missouri Moseley bully Dean, that boy needs way more humility than he's got at this point in the series.

As a kid, I found the Bloody Mary episode SO scary, for YEARS I was scared of mirrors and being alone with one. Even now if I stare long enough I get a little paranoid. Rewatching it, however, I found it not that scary at all. In fact, many of the episodes aren't that scary, it's more drama with a supernatural background. I appreciate the format, but this early series honestly has way more in common with later series than I thought. Tonally, I mean.

Episodes I'm surprised didn't give me more nightmares: Hook Man, Bugs, Scarecrow (that's it for now, I haven't finished the first season)

That scene where the plumber gets his arm destroyed in the sink (Episode: Home) has stayed with me for ages, I actually thought it was an earlier episode (Dead in the Water).

Can someone explain to me why that old man in Wendingo was left alive by the Wendingo? I thought it was because the man would turn into one after his experience, and that HE was actually the monster in the episode, but there was no reveal, so I'm kinda confused.

I really appreciate the religious symbolism. John=God, Sam=Lucifer, Dean=Micheal. They embody the figures well.

I know much of what happens later in the seasons, be it from my original watch (s1-early6) to what I read about the rest, and it's so funny to see Dean disbelieve in angels and god. lmao. And Sam's faith in them. Rough, truly, for both of them.

So yeah, in general, not how I remember it, still love it, already reading fanfic for it. Already picking sides, lmao (I'm sorry I love Sam and him not being listened to ever is fucking grating). Also not as scary as I remember it, but it's still fun.

God, being a decent person is so fucking exhausting sometimes. I just want to handcuff someone to my bed and apply blunt force trauma and do disgusting things to them until they're fucking terrified of me.
