To be even 0.1% striking a similar chord is an aspiration of mine.#I also want to honour the effort I put into this parody book cover. Which was a *lot* more than one would think.#Covers were analyzed. I did research and took notes. I learned how to download fonts. 4 different programs were used.#This file is also poster sized (A4 dimensions)! I thought It would make the joke funnier for some reason.#Chuck Tingle's style is very iconic and fun to replicate. Despite the time intensive labour - I had a blast making this!#I admit to skimming most of the chapter this is based off of just to fact check a few details but boy did I learn things.#Wei Wuxian canonically has CAKE. Tiny waist and a fat ass.#I took several more notes but I will warn you now that I can't *not* find smut writing to be very funny.#This was pure chaos. Unbridled chaos. WWX really did shove a sword up his ass to bully dream-LWJ.#The need to be a little shit trumps saftey I guess.#There is a 99.9% chance I will not cover the extras so this is likely all the fans of those chapters will get from PD-MDZS.

I can't express it enough#whether you ship ryokita or not it's still a good read! like really it's well articulated and goes in depth about ryo & kita's relationship#and acknowledges how unhealthy it is but the realization of this makes the both of them understand each other more clearly without-#-seeing through rose colored glasses. I just- ughhh! I'm not good with words and I can't stress it enough so once again please read this!#you can really tell how much this artist is passionate and dedicated about the ship#not only that but how they color the cover page (and their art in general) is JUST SO CATCHING! LITERAL EYE CANDY!#and the pacing and panelling of the story is well thought out plus the equal balance of humor and angst is so entertaining & heart wrenchin#and their art style... fricking adorable and expressive and striking!! Just grrr!! I LOVE THIS ARTIST'S WORK SO MUCH!!!#I'm not that particularly crazy about ryokita but they are very interesting to explore and could have some potential if they worked out-#-their own flaws. Going through the Utahim.e tag had me checking several times if at some point I had clicked on the G.ojo/Utahim.e one instead
#It's mainly the ship and mainly ship art. Very pretty btw. There's people with gorgeous styles there#There isn't even a lot of x reader fics haha I guess people don't want to bang Utahime?#Anyway... lowkey wished this happened with Ijichi lol#I so wanted Ijichi to mention or even hint at a mention of Gojo one last time like they did with Nanami#If nothing else for the weight of it all. The weight of feeling your youth dying piece by piece alongside the people who made it out#And everything it implies#Art of Shoko dealing with Gojo's death even in a cold way always strikes hard for that motive but I always love it#with pretty much everyone of those years. There was one piece I saw once that was not explicitly or necessarily romantic about Utahime#being hit by Gojo's death and I don't recall exactly how it was (I think I may have queued it?)#but it moved me more than any piece more clearly emotional that I had seen before#I don't know. I thought it held the potential of that. That weird uncomfortable heartbreaking feeling#of hearing bad news about old friends or classmates and how it makes you realise the weight of time#They suffered and accident. They tried to kill themselves. They are very sick. Their sibling or parent died. And you knew these people#You saw them daily for years. Maybe you weren't close but you knew these people. They cut my bangs when I was eight and I punched them#I tripped over them playing hide and seek and we both lost at the same time. We both hated each other's favourite teacher#They borrowed my pen once and then never gave it back. I once drenched them at the fountain after PE and it was winter but they laughed#Their mother got mad though. Now she's dead. We were made to sit together in French class in middle school. They loved to keep their hair l#Now they're sick and have lost their hair#Their little sibling was so annoying always trying to make us play with them during recess too. It was kinda cute. Now they're dead#I don't know. That kind of stuff#Utahime boosts Gojo and then he dies. Shoko opens him up to make a tool of his body#Ijichi accompanies another kid to clean after him in the meanwhile. And then the realisation hits. He is dead#He was annoying. He was my friend. He was so rude#He had such a sweet tooth. He laughed so loudly. He used to lean over people when talking with them#We were kids once. We are here now. He isn't here anymore. Some of us haven't been here anymore for a long while. It's been so long#He was still young. I am still young. We felt so old. At times it feels as if the time back then didn't happen at all.#And now he's dead and oh it's true he was so annoying but he also had such a sweet tooth. I forgot. What do I do with this memory now?#At times it felt as if the time back then didn't happen at all but then at times it shone through. He brought it back#He asked me a favour knowing I wouldn't betray his secret. He still teased the same way. He still leaned on people. But now he's dead#I don't know if I'm explaining myself well xD I think it's a pretty common emotion when it happens.Oh I forgot to censore words again sorry

Hello! I was looking through your kpop opinions tag, and I found what you said interesting and insightful. I was wondering what your opinions were on Key's Gasoline :D
i have............complicated thoughts on gasoline. i LOVE the graphic design and album marketing and i like a big chunk of the songs on the album, i think a lot of the styling and the mv are really well done. all those outfits are custom builds and the embroidery work is UNREAL, as garments they are beautiful pieces of work. but i don't really like how the song is just a retooled version of industry baby. and i'm not sure how i feel about all the crosses, to be honest. the use of them is obviously very intentional and undoubtedly they mean something TO key specifically in terms of his faith but it's..........not really a thing i can get behind, personally. something about it feels a little too evangelical to me and i will absolutely admit that i am overly sensitive to that kind of thing bc i've had more than one run in with evangelical attempts to convert me. i don't ACTUALLY think it was meant specifically as a whole dogmatic evangelical thing but i find myself being a bit......uncomfortable with the imagery even now a year later.
#like. crosses appear in SO much kpop styling bc theyre just an accessory to a lot of stylists#but with kibum and his care and affinity for detail in his styling......#idk. something gives me the ?? about the visual idea of claiming/making yourself into a new god.....#using a very established and loaded religious symbol.....#that's. weird for me. it doesnt read as transformative in the same way that taemin's work does#its interesting to play with christian iconography contrasting/in dialogue with its contexts#but how do i put this.......it does not strike me as being outside of its contexts here#idk this is hard to explain but as someone who's not religious the way that evangelicals & catholics make art about religion is v different#text#key w#shinee w#answers#im not talking about random instances with strangers on the steet/coming to the door either. im talking about from people that were friends#i also have a lot of ex christian and ex mormon friends bc queer so yea.#sorry this is not really a very interesting or thoughtful response lmao#loved killer though it was extremely fun and very my vibe (synthpop)

i'm really glad i'm someone who's autistic and/or has adhd, whose media of choice is pretty much exclusively video games, because the writers strike has absolutely no impact on my life whatsoever. of course i'd still support it without hesitation even if i WAS a big fan of movies/shows, but still lmao.

Idk if anyone is interested in hearing this, but here’s a very important fact about martial arts:
Yes, some martial arts are more practical for self-defense than others.
No, there is not a single martial arts style that will instantly make you proficient at self defense.
It ultimately doesn’t matter which style of martial arts (or multiple styles) you decide to practice: no matter what, you’re going to need to practice for hours, constantly, in order to maintain your skills, and you’re never guaranteed to walk out of a fight healthy and in one piece. You need to practice, practice, practice, no matter what style you choose, because you’re not going to be able to defend yourself at all if all you do is take a couple self-defense classes and never practice again.
#not tf#this is advice about self defense and getting into martial arts#but it's also a defense of martial arts styles that are seen as 'showy' or 'impractical'#like i guarantee you that those kung fu masters who have been training for 50 years could beat your ass instantly#and it's because they've been practicing for 50 years or whatever the fuck lmao#there is no magical martial arts style that's superior to all others and that will let you beat anyone#what makes you able to win a fight is how good you are and getting good only comes from practice#also i'd like to add that many of those so called 'impractical' martial arts teach you really important things#like footwork and balance and coordination and momentum and being able to strike with multiple limbs at once#not to mention a lot of wiseguys on the internet think that something being cool looking automatically means it isn't practical for some rea#for some reason*#i've seen internet smart asses call wing chun 'impractical' on a gif set of mere practice exercises and drilling#not realizing that the strikes being demonstrated are very good for close quarters fighting with very little room#also iirc wing chun was created by a female martial artist so one can assume it's also a good style for women#(insofar as styles 'for women' exist because brute strength isn't the most important factor in martial arts)
