This is the order of events as nearly as I can reconstruct them.

In 2008 I start following a webcomic called Problem Sleuth.

In 2009 Problem Sleuth wraps up. The author, Andrew Hussie, begins work on 🤡's next project, a mixed media piece called Homestuck.

In 2010 I become an evangelist for Homestuck. I spread the word to my college friend Stephen. He joins an online Homestuck RP group. I move to New York. That fall, Stephen visits me and introduces me to a guy from the group named Josh, who plays Rose. I am immediately infatuated.

In 2011 Stephen starts development on a real life Pesterchum app. I organize a Homestuck group cosplay and we go to Anime Central with our whole college anime club dressed up as trolls. I sit in a field with 50 Daves. I write my first Homestuck fanfiction, which is also my first anything fanfiction. Josh moves into my apartment. Stephen is dating a pair of bisexual cosplayers. Act 5 concludes. It is Peak Homestuck.

In 2012 my girlfriend tells me that I am no longer allowed to talk about Homestuck with her. The What Pumpkin organization - Homestuck is too big to be one person's project anymore - launches a kickstarter for a Homestuck video game, which raises 2.5 million dollars. At the same time, it is becoming clear that something is wrong with Homestuck itself. The author is fed up with the project but is now financially bound to it. The content becomes increasingly mean-spirited and critical of its audience as What Pumpkin tries to turn itself into a game company.

In 2013 What Pumpkin loses a significant chunk of its Kickstarter money - how much we'll never know - through a comical series of development boondoggles. Stephen launches a Kickstarter to fund an expansion of the Pesterchum app - now the haunt of a large online community - and What Pumpkin shuts it down. Josh no longer reads Homestuck but we're still living together and we start a podcast.

In 2014 Homestuck is mostly on hiatus. When it returns I start this blog, which was originally called "Two Triangles," after Dirk's shades. Most of the old crew have stopped caring about Homestuck but I am a die-hard. I write more fanfiction, mostly lesbian fluff. I begin to meet new people who are still invested in the whole thing. This and the podcast become the core of my new social world. Homestuck itself is getting more and more chaotic and diffuse but I still believe Andrew can tie it all together.

In 2015 I break. I write a fanfic called "Theatre of Coolty," which is my Dear John letter to Andrew Hussie. (I kill him in the story, which is par for the course.) It becomes the most popular thing I have ever made, and is most likely the most popular thing I ever will make. It is translated into multiple languages. A person called Naked Bee (who becomes another dear friend) turns it into a short film with puppets. I have grown to hate Homestuck but it is now my primary source of external validation and the foundation of my social media presence.

In 2016 Homestuck ends. The last year of its existence is an extraordinary act of creative self-erasure. Hussie vanishes by degrees, and by the time the finale rolls out no trace of 🤡's writing or art is left in the product. It is an abnegation worthy of Prospero. To complete this act of conceptual self-destruction, 🤡 ends up selling the entire product to Viz, who let it corrode. (Nine years later, homestuck.com is a dead link, mspaintadventures an abandoned swamp of broken pngs.) Meanwhile, I provide the narration for Bee's audio adaptation of a novel-length Homestuck fanfiction called Detective Pony, which she later turns into a feature film. The author of the fic/novel goes on to Kickstart a dating sim based on the 2016 Republican primary, which he calls Grand Old Academy. It has yet to be published.

In 2017 I leave New York. My friendship with Josh deteriorates and our podcast ends. I am no longer a Homestuck fan. As such I rebrand - the number of triangles I am is no longer anyone's business.

In 2021, Andrew Hussie releases a visual novel called Psycholonials. I do not read it.

In 2025, I am back in New York, albeit not in the city. I'm married to someone I met through this blog. Most of my closest friends are people I met either through Homestuck or through the projects that came out of it. Even my college friends - the ones I still talk to - are the ones who went through the wars with me. My wife thinks Psycholonials is worth reading. One night we sit down and play through it together.

Psycholonials is a nasty, nihilistic little story about a fucking idiot who accidentally creates a movement and then runs away like a bitch when it gets to be too much, back into the bosom of 🤡's trust fund. It's also really good. It has all the things I loved about Homestuck, all the stuff I missed as 🤡 left it to rot. It demonstrates that 🤡 is not washed, that the failure of Homestuck was not because 🤡 lost the juice. 🤡 abandoned us on purpose. 🤡 chose 🤡 over us.

This was objectively the correct decision. And when you come right down to it, 🤡 never signed up to change my life. It just happened.

Still, I can't say that it doesn't hurt a little, sitting here in my 40s. I guess everyone follows at least one failed messiah. So, yet another farewell to the cool big brother I never had. I hope this is the last one.

so here's the thing, your post didn't describe fiction affecting reality but manipulation from others or even grooming

you should know this: all ships are valid. Your 13 year old self did nothing wrong. Being manipulated / groomed into saying "I was wrong for liking a ship" is extremely worrying. As I was thinking of a low time in my life, I thought of this quote and picked up the pen and drew. Despite being a happier person, I do have my healthy sad moments. I’ve realized that a lot of my work I make for the intention, at least a little bit, to show to other people.

Don’t get me wrong, many artists have the intention to show their work to the world. It’s something that comes naturally for a lot of us. The need to share because we are social creatures overtakes us no matter if it’s to strangers or your only close friend. It’s just this quote made me think about making something for myself and myself only. Despite that, there’s always this thought in the back of my head going,

“What if an audience sees this?���

Is my vent art cliche? Cringey? Edgy? Bad? Something a young teenager would make? Something an older art critique png YouTuber would put in his awful art compilation? Something you could compare to Deviantart? Is it because that I’m Gen-Z so my vent art can not compare to older generations who drew about war, politics, and genocide? Is it only valid when the art is venting about something that affects a lot of people? Then is it something valid as commentary about world events, and not something very personal? Is it more valid painted with oil on canvas than it is digital with a trending art program?

And I think to myself, I know how the audience would react. If this vent art is about an existing character you can relate to, what will fans of that character and or series think? “It’s too edgy, it’s out of character, she would never do that, why her?” And if it’s your own self or own character, it’s too personal to have anyone care about it. “Who is that? Is that you? Do I need to call someone? Why do you look like that?”

What if I just feel like drawing something? What if it just comes to me? What if it’s my own self expression? I don’t need to think about an audience seeing this. My overthinking brain comes up with this scenario about how a large group of people will accidentally see it somehow. And I think that’s the main reason I barely make vent art at all. I was gonna write this big long post about the feelings of betrayal and disgust I generally have about the mogai community and call out multiple people and how it's upsetting but totally predictable acceptance of all things radqueer, especially the transabled shit, after " good faith" became the new "ur valid" of the community to avoid any accountability and fair criticism for some of the literal liquid shit that comes out of this community but tbh... Idk what happened but one night a month or 2 ago I just... Stopped caring. Wholely and entirely for the mogai community and most radical, and especially uncritical, inclusionist movements. Every time I try to join one, it always circles back to accepting offending pedos and racism and disability appropriation and I'm no longer shocked. It happened with ace inclus who all turned into maps overnight and its 100% happening here.

I've unfollowed or blocked most big posters who are just blatantly shitting out rq shit now or are brand new and dni-less and always post sus shit. I just looked at my massive gender hoard over on forests-hoard and realized just how utterly pointless it all is. Every png and every identity really is just pointless. Sure they might mean something to someone but what's the point? No one gets that "oh that's me!" Crying reaction to realizing their gender from here anymore. I've not felt that feeling in years. Its a big empty dump where they just... Sit there and do nothing. Digital filler and endless content consumption. No wonder most of the community is so young and so flighty. There's no substance behind any of it. I feel like every time I look at a new flag, I'm seeing single-use plastic. Something maybe 10 people max mindlessly reblogged and moved on and never looked back.

Almost no identities have more than 5 seconds of thought and 2 seconds of effort put into their creation. Remember when coining posts used to have paragraphs of the creator talking about every aspect of the design, what it means to them, they'd name their blog after it, why every color and its lightness or darkness or saturation was decided? Lots of thought and effort and consideration and heart. Every identity nowadays is just " blank: when you feel like noun and noun" and copy paste with every noun in existence until the heat death of the universe. The mogai community is dead and overvalidation, white saviors and repitition killed it like a cancer, a cell that gets a defect and keeps duplicating itself till there's nothing left. A marginally new idea for identity, good or bad, gets popular then it's done to death. I fully believe that if they let loose a mogai AI to shit out flags and identities, none of you would be able to tell the difference.

This sucks, don't get me wrong.... xenogenders, neopronouns, all sorts of expression are still pretty cool in my book but... The community I fell in love with died a very long time ago. If you asked me, Id say the shift was just before pinkfruitgender left. It became hateful, then obsessed with ignoring tangible privilege and is now so high off its own supply, it's dead from a lack of oxygen. I don't know if I'll ever come back here. I don't know if I'll ever coin anything again. I haven't felt the drive in nearly a year even if i occasionally get an idea. I open up my flag album or the ibis paint canvas with flag designs and just feel... Exhausted. Like all the air and joy get sucked out of the room. Like the world has gone black and white and nothing matters.

And I blame a lot of people in this community for that. Very specific people, sure, but just generally community attitudes. Maybe we'll toss something out occasionally but we'll never be back back. I'm not really sorry if that offends or upsets someone. There's very few people here that I think are good people but tbh, I can't think of any off the top of my head. I think you people need to get off the internet and get some perspective because what you think is normal, isn't and what you think isnt normal, often is. The Secret Sauce for Multibagger returns: The Untold Story

The Milestone

On 3rd August 2023, our AIF – Aequitas Equity Scheme 1, reached a significant milestone of $100 Million AUM. While AUM building has never been a forefront agenda, it’s a positive feat reassuring the faith our investors have shown in us. The contrarian, as we boastfully like to call ourselves, we continue to take the road less travelled, focusing 1-on-1 relationship with our investors, without taking the distributor and empanelment route to market ourselves.

Embarking on our AIF Journey in March 2019, with a fund corpus of $6 million and, in 4 years, commanding a fund AUM of $100 million, validates the robustness of our investment philosophy, which has helped us navigate turbulent market cycles over the years

As amazing as this sounds, it is only half the truth.

The Journey

Aequitas started building wealth for investors in 2013, when we launched our first product, Portfolio Management Services (PMS). After delivering consistent returns for our PMS, a bespoke portfolio service which today stands at 37% CAGR over 10 years, we felt the market’s need for an equally good investment option with lower ticket size, but the same investment philosophy at core.

And thus, 18 March 2019 we launched Aequitas Equity Scheme 1, our AIF, with a portfolio value of

$6 Million and 16 stocks – all the AIF stocks were also part of the PMS stock set.

While 2019 was a memorable year for us as our new champion was out in the battlefield, 2020 was equally memorable for all the wrong reasons – as we were hit by the unknown, pandemic COVID-19. It affected every household across the globe, and that proportionally reflected on the stock market that fell into panic selling. “It was a rough and challenging period!!” Siddhartha says further, “Global economies were falling apart to a challenge which no superpower in the world was prepared for”.

18 March 2020, exactly on 1 year anniversary of our AIF – Aequitas Equity Scheme 1, was in negative. Many would have crumbled under this pressure and drawn curtains given such a disheartening start.

What did we do?

Nothing! There was nothing to be done in terms of our portfolio strategy. We entered our initial holdings not because of some momentum or popularity, which had turned upside down. We have a

strong & proven Multibagger investment philosophy which focuses on three pillars – Growth, Contrarian & Value.

Growth: We identify companies whose numbers are fundamentally strong and show great growth potential for 3-5 years. The markets reward a higher PE multiple for growth companies.

Contrarian: Contrarian approach does not mean doing the opposite of others, rather, it means doing things differently. Buying the popular names will not provide Multibagger returns. This gives us the necessary edge over others as when our stocks get the long due attention, we are mostly done reaping all the benefits already.

Value: We enter the stock at a very reasonable valuation. This is critical as there has to be scope for potential re-rating. A combination of EPS growth and PE re-rating leads to Multibagger returns.

As nothing had impacted the philosophy pillars, we DID NOT QUIT even a single holding out of our original 16 AIF stocks. And we had the trust and backing of our investors too as we witnessed 0% churn rate during this tough period, i.e., none of our initial investors part ways. Do you think they knew it is just a phase and what the future truly holds? Maybe. Maybe not. But we knew for sure!

How were we so sure?

Well, we had our Skin in the Game. All our Aequitas employees were (and continue to be) investors in the AIF. We firmly believed that it is the best wealth generating machinery available in the Indian equity market. And ‘hell yeah!’ we were right about it.

Also, we had a promise to our investors, an unsaid promise to build wealth for them – more than the market indices. If they have shown their trust by putting in their hard-earned money, it is our job to fulfil their expectation of building wealth – and so we reciprocated by taking the bold call of not charging any fee till we have justified our proposition.

So, for 18 months since inception, we charged Zero fees to our investors. We stood by their faith in us.

A year later, on the 2nd Anniversary of our AIF, March 2021 we made positive returns on our initial investment – as we bounced back from our lowest position during the period. But our first

milestone was still a few miles away – building true wealth for our investors, more than the market average.

So, we Did Not Charge Performance Fees, till we delivered on our unsaid promise in April 2022. 

What is the secret sauce?

As you would have figured too by now, the only secret is ignoring the noise around and backing the basics. There are many small market correction cycles that have occurred since pandemic, and it will continue to (maybe there is one as you are reading it) – that is the nature of stock market. The one thing that is rooted is the fundamentals of the companies invested in, backed by a thorough investment philosophy of Aequitas. While our cumulative results stand astonishingly positive, we feel proud to say that it is because of multiple individual stocks and not just one crazy Multibagger.

We held onto the fundamentally strong 16 stocks that aligned with our investment philosophy and as result, 10 out of 16 stocks emerged as MULTIBAGGER over the period.

You should check out Deltarune if you're a fan of the kind of writing that rewards an attentive reader. I say that knowing that a lot of people love Deltarune stuff for all the theories, mysteries and easter eggs and how they relate to some big Toby Fox Cinematic Universe and I just don't give a damn about any of that. And that's not the kind of writing I'm talking about, I mean thematically resonant character work and excellent "guessability" (as in "Oh man I really think this is building up to this, I think some of these story beats are indicating so!").

And the sight gags in Deltarune are so much funnier than anything I saw in Undertale. There's a particular brand of *textual* humor that's represented in works like Homestuck and Undertale, and Deltarune is pretty much the 2025 representation of it (so i haveth a laser pointer[no caps no punctuation, a serious tone is the only real departure from lol randumb]), but the sight gags are unbelievable in this as well. Genuine laugh out loud moments from me throughout the entirety. It's really really funny at moments, and anticlimax is the name of the game.

Big con is still ("still" as in from Undertale) gameplay. The secret bosses that you can find are exceptional, with the exception of Jevil, but every other fight is an immense chore for me.

Some random thoughts around characters/story stuff here cause I don't see myself posting about this constantly until the last set of chapters release (even though it was good), but my biggest take away is: **If you think Deltarune is the same kind of game (thematically or otherwise) as Undertale, or if you think you need to play Undertale to appreciate Deltarune, you're wrong.** That being said, they're linked and anagrams *probably* for a reason, so not liking UT is a valid reason to not play DR.

The change of "Main Character" from Kris to Susie while still having you control Kris 90% of the time is executed... so unbelievably well it's insane. I think there will be almost no character in a RPG like this that's written better than Susie to me. Progressing through chapter three really had me mind melding with Fox, because as SOON as I felt that Susie was acting more and more like a leader, character and protagonist that I'd actually *want* to see the adventures of, she basically is in all but name. Do they ever name it explicitly in the game? Is this evident to everyone else that Susie is now the protagonist of Deltarune?

Especially in light of Kris working with the mayor and the knight. I think the mayor is the roaring knight, I guess the other option is Dess. But as soon as Kris calls the knight from Noelle's house, mayor comes home. Kris refuses to open the closet door in the church.

Everything about Kris is phenomenal, and they're a real character with real personality. 2 standout character moments (also both with Susie, who brings out a real human side to Kris) are pouring juice into each other's mouths at church and using Susie as a lawnmower to eat a charceuterie board. lmao. They are soooooo mad at me for asking Berdley to the festival and they are sooooo mad at Sans for bagging a MILF.

Ralsei I won't speak much on, other than the fact that he's the source of some of the best visual gags. I lost it when he gets flattened in Castle Town and then he follows you around as an unmoving png. and ralsei plush in the Tenna fight good. I have been going for a mix of "bad/good" dialogue choices, and I didn't really know what to say, so I told Ralsei to keep pretending to smile instead of "its okay to be sad sometimes." probably my most cruel direct piece of dialogue. It felt bad.

Tenna is another TV/entertainment themed robot tumblr sexyman. He cant keep getting away with it. And I like him.

I think Toby is pulling this off so far! I'm most nervous for the fact that unlike Undertale, Toby is writing a character driven mystery right now. And it's been excellent so far. And a bad ending would be really disappointing to me. That's always the fear with these chapter release based games.
