Hello my friends I have been tired and stressed bc of work and moving and my computer exploding, and therefore have not drawn for funsies in a few weeks. I am attempting to remedy this. Behold: Thursday game doodles.

Context:

Pic 1: Parallels between Verity's old and current party, now that the squad is all together! Mira and Barbfin, Ani and Darius, Veil and Willow, and then Verity and Rodin being Awkward off to the side

Pic 2: Soooooo Verity and Rodin had a bit of a fight in the most recent session, that may or may not have ended with Verity literally destroying his paladin's oath with a hammer.

He's been a vengeance paladin since she died, and swore to kill the BBEG (who was responsible for her death and fucked over the old party and did a bunch of other Bad Shit), and in a recent session lured him (and his entire army) out so he could, and I quote, "Hit him in the face with a hammer".

Verity was v frustrated by this, saying it was reckless and stupid to put his life (and everyone else's) in danger by trying to lure him out with no kind of escape plan or backup (R: "I have my own armies and diplomatic connections and my entire spy network!" V: "Cool, WHERE WERE THEY TODAY???"), and he said he's been following the plan he "carved into stone" 150 years ago when he first took his vengeance oath. Conveniently, said stone was hanging on the wall of the room they were arguing in.

Verity says that plans can change, stone can be broken, and that just bc something is "carved into stone" doesn't mean it has to be permanent- especially since they have the entire old party back now and they have more hope now than they ever did. However, Rodin is stubborn that he's not going to change his entire game plan just bc there's slightly more hope than there was a few months ago- we found out during the same session he's only got a few months left to live, and if he's going to die he's going to take out the BBEG and fulfill his revenge as his final act.

Verity, though, is adamant that, with the combined help of both the old party and her new friends, they can make him young again and get a "second chance" at the adventures they wanted as kids- and grabs one of his blacksmithing hammers. She threatens to break the oath stone, but is hesitant at first bc it's obviously important to him. And then he says:

"Go on, break it then. Or admit that I'm right."

So she uses the hammer and divine smite on the giant slab of granite, carved with both his vengeance paladin oath and his plan to take out the BBEG, shatters it, and says he needs to "write his love on his heart and let THAT be the thing that drives him forward, not some stupid stone".

So Verity is now an oathbreaker but not in the way you'd expect lol.

Expect more doodles on this topic bc it was ONE HELL OF A SCENE and I am very sad we don't stream our Thursday game bc I would commit so many crimes to have a recording of it ;-;

Hello I had this dream last night and I need to share it with you!!!

We know the whole crew is invited to the Cannibal Cookout for the weekend.

So I imagine Al is gonna let cameras take pictures of him and Lucifer, that way the headline of his relationship with the king of hell will reach the seven pentagram faster(it was showed that he can take pictures when he wants to, since vox kept one). But that also mean he is gonna be exposed for the first time in probably forever. Like he is known for his terrifying radio podcast, which means that not many ppl know about his true form, especially new born sinners. So I can only imagine the surprise of those people to see the radio demon , the scariest overlord of them all, being a cute deer with a a fluffy tail and all the package that comes with it. Also Alastor mentioned to Lucy to ‘Wear your Sunday best.”, which might imply that he is gonna wear something nice as well…

It would be hilarious if Half of hell will start simping for Alastor and downright ignoring Lucifer.

I can imagine the internet exploding with Alastor pictures and people going like 'aww his ears are moving’ or something, sinners go as far as make fan club about him, meanwhile a certain picture box is having a mental breakdown…

OFC In all of this Al is completely oblivious about the situation he caused, so the crew tries to keep him out the flow, to not freak him out, which it’s not hard at all, since the dude doesn’t have a phone, but he does get a bit suspicious when Lucifer makes him wear something to cover his upper body, almost as far as making him wear an hat and glasses lol(I don’t see Lucifer as being who enjoys losing himself on new trends and gossip on the internet, so Angel probably showed him a innocent picture of them, but Lucy made the bad choice to go read through the comments. Nonetheless to say he was scarred for life, and decided to take it upon himself to protect Alastor’s privacy)

Also Alastor can probably sense when someone takes pictures of him, twitching his eyes and tail but otherwise leaves it be for the sake of maintaining the charade.

This was it ehehe, I kinda felt bad I woke up from that dream, I honestly wanted to know how it ended.

Either way I can’t wait to see how u are planning to go with it. Cause I just know u are gonna make me love every second of it😆👌

Heheheheh I love this! You have the BEST dreams. I'm so in love with most of Hell not knowing Alastor, or not really remembering what he looked like, since he's been gone (and Hell is expanding by the thousands every day, so of course there would be people who don't know him).

And so they see him for the first time and it's such a stark difference to what they were expecting XD He's developing a fan-base and Lucifer has to scare them all of (otherwise Alastor WILL murder. He will).

And no worries! I did get the ask from earlier! Sometimes, if it takes me a long time to get to an ask, that's because I want to draw some doodles for it like the pics above ^.^

I really understand your take on sharing amigurumi patterns. I crocheted A LOT about 10 years ago, I crocheted Pokémon plushes, wrote the patterns, and sold both for a bit. But the patterns were just a PDF with plain text telling the reader the stitches for each round with a quick note partway through each piece to advise them when to start stuffing. Free patterns on like Ravelry from 2005-2015 are also like this, it’s my normal. Fast forward to last year. For the first time, I buy a pattern on Etsy. It’s FULL of photos and diagrams and custom fonts and intricate page borders and decorative doodles and excruciating detail, none of which I need. So now like, hooooly shit, if I ever start selling patterns again, do I have to get professional photography setup and a graphic designer??? To make 5 freakin bucks???????? My patterns might just have to remain a trade secret. 😬

Yeah I definitely feel like expectations for patterns have just risen unrealistically. I only freehand so I don't buy patterns or even look at them, but whenever I see people talking about them, there's always so much- neediness? about them. People will complain about FREE patterns if they don't have pictures or explain how to attach things or is formatted differently from what they're used to. FREE PATTERNS. The entitlement and lack of appreciation is just so jarring to me. And then the same group of people will act like they are so generous for throwing a dollar your way for such a pattern, maybe $3 if it just looks nice, maybe even $5 if they like you. Very often you'll see PACKS of patterns, sets of 3 or 5 or 10 or 12, each with, like you said, photos and diagrams and excruciating detail, and that's the only time people will think it's justified to pay up to $10 on them. It makes no sense to me. Personally all I need, and the way I write my patterns is mostly like this Fomantis one I put out years ago with basically just the colors needed, and the actual stitches needed in each row for each part. That's it.

And then when people would tell me they'd gladly pay for my patterns however they were formatted just because they liked the crochet- that is simply not true by and large. Most of the people saying that kind of stuff did not subscribe to my patreon when I had it, and I just made myself miserable putting out slightly more refined versions of my pattern notes. I don't like to think of it as keeping my patterns as a trade secret like you said, but it kind of feels that way sometimes because I just do not want to put any kind of effort into typing up a pattern that people won't even use and will only complain about.

I would want minimum $50 for typing up just one set of notes as is because it took me more than 5hr to crochet the thing and it'd take another hour to type up the rows and I hate it and people just are not here for that, not hearing it at all. "Well it's only for one Pokemon? You already have the notes written can't you just snap a pic and share those? [Some bullshit about potential passive income so the price should be pennies]." You cannot give give an inch or they will demand a mile. So no patterns of any kind at all ever for any reason.

Apritello Fantasy AU doodles

Tribunal Donatello fantasy AU concept art (i got inspired mostly from the ninja tribunal 2003) kinda improved the ideas a bit after that long looong sleep lmfao🥲��👆👆 (yeah I am sooo lazy at drawing him fullbody 🥲)

I forgot to add some details at phase 2 such as growing sharp claws. As he learned having glowing skin at his age, he suddenly grew canine-like teeth, having a tremendous appetite (probably meat), his stamina grew two times stronger, he weight two times bigger and heavier, grew strong sense of smell (?)🤨. After April was done sparring at the castle's field, she sneaks out and brought raw herrings and venison meat for the turtle brothers. Knight April knows that Donnie loves venison meat as he loves her marmalade jam. Everytime knight April pays a visit, Donnie loves seeing her, made him even nervous and it made his skin glows brighter, feeling happy as his heart keep thumping and thumping, made him even more confused. He keep thinking "What's happening to me....?!?!?!" and he still want to figure out whats happening to him. April did noticed his odd changes (glowing skin, canine teeth, grew claws, strong sense of smell, he always churrs beside her, etc). Those odd changes didn't creeped her out btw instead April is aware of his conditions as a turtle & cares for him.

April lived in a different world where they thought dragons, komodo armies, dungeon monsters etc are long gone and wiped out many years ago (lets say bcs of wars & conflict). If you're asking me how come they meet each other, Knight April kinda got separated from the royal troops after a rough fighting with bandits in the forest, April and the royal troops are guarding a wagon full of....let's say treasures from the castle. April's dad was in the wagon with his assistant, the bandits kinda want the treasures and kidnapped April's dad (with a purpose?) hmmm....so April got pretty injured and unconscious after she threw herself to the lake so the bandits won't find her. Mikey saw her falling to the lake and called his brothers to help the poor girl April, she drowned in the lake, I think Donnie jumped into the water to save her. Leo said to the brothers, he saw no sign of her breathing, and Mikey said "I suggests one of us have to do mouth to mouth!" and Leo, Mikey, Raph were staring at Donnie for a long time (ppftt!) Donnie be likee..."Why it has to be me!!??" oh my gosh...that scene always shown in my head ahahahhahah🤣🤣🤣

This scene, April decided to stick around with turtle brothers a bit longer. At nighttime, Donnie saw April at the lush green field, found beautiful fireflies. Donnie keep staring at her bcs he never seen a female human knight before. They're pretty much hanging out like friends, sitting and talking. She's talking how she misses her dad so much, the village, her best friend Irma, the villagers market, the kids at the orphanage, everything.

Progress report February 2025

And hello again~

Second progress update coming up, updating on my art/animation/webcomic progress this month.

So here we go:

My webcomic, Twisted Play:

Chapter 2. 1 part 2 is in the works. The sketch has been done in January. I've now started doing the lineart of it. Whilst working on my other stuff, I've got a handful of BG panels done from the beginning of the episode.

Artworks I made: Warning! Blood/gore/disturbing imagery.

I've created two stand-alone illustrations of my main boy Noriaki: "Baited" and "Self-Discovery". And I'm not ashamed to say that Noriaki was perhaps my favorite of my bunch of weird unhinged OCs this month.

For the special occasion of Valentine's Day, I did what any (single loner) artist would do and make some themed artwork. Just don't ever expect me to do lovey-dovey artwork all that much. And this should show you I have the romantic tendencies of a pebble: maybe a cute little pebble, but cold and rough-edged.

Finished animations:

I initially hoped I would've this one ready for Valentine's Day, too. But I only finished this a day ago as of writing this. February 2025 marks the inception of my take on the "Flowers" Animation Meme ft. my OC Desire. Because yes, even the kindest fairy tale princess gets impatient waiting for her lover. (No, she isn't an actual fairy tale princess)

I don't have a lot to report here. Most is stuck at the same amount of progress as it was in January.

The only one other than the "Flowers" Animation that I worked on a bit was the "888" Animation, but really nothing noteworthy as of now, maybe like...one or two frames? Last month's progress pic as a reminder of what I'm talking about:

Miscellaneous:

I started a smaller design sheet for eye animations related to my OCs archangel powers in January. Now in February, Noriaki's eye animation got some company in Chouwa's eye animation. Rest will follow sometime in between.

For the last few days of February, I made this habit of drawing a few warm-up doodles of Chouwa and Chiron. I'm not sure if I'll keep doing warm-up doodles like this in the future as a regular thing or not. Only time will tell, I guess.

And that's it for February.

Update to my tv theories and framework

About a year ago, when I started following Welcome Home, they had barely mentioned the Question Answerer, but did say they were a big time archivist and museum professional.

With the Homewarming update, we learn from W that the Question Answerer was very ill.

I had taken a photo and listened to dialogue that I believed to be from the show itself. I felt like an idiot, I hadn’t recorded anything, I was so entranced by what I was seeing.

On reflection, could this be referring to the Julierella still on the TV? Is there another image on the original website that could be described this way? I don’t think so, and it was a question I had always had about the photo.

If it were playing an animation on the TV, why did we not have any animation from the still? There was no audio from this, so this must be the one (unless you guys can think of another photo of an animation or show). I had assumed before that this shot was from the QA because of the placement of the phone and red binder.

This changes some of my recent theorizing about the televisions, which also clarifies some of the boundaries between different voices or frame work. So, in this image we have a tv, and in the next picture we have the tv static.

Is the TV where W has seen the show, only gotten a picture, and didn’t record the information? This establishes the red notebook as for sure belonging to W. I pulled a pic from the video of eovwxy, to compare and see if this video is the same TV, and it’s hard to tell. The darkness around the frame means it might be the same TV, but it isn’t conclusive. The TV in the staff-only room:

I really can’t say whether or not that is the same tv. In the original, it could be fit into a recess that makes those extra side bits. The picture above is a lightened version, so this is probably the best pic we can have of it. The second picture is too cropped to be able to tell.

That means the odd phone that doesn’t match anything is there with W as well as later being with the QA. In the information from W on awayfrompryingeyes.net, W describes a phone call coming from a toy phone and gets a recording of it. W calls it Wally’s toy phone.

I keep tinkering with the Welcome Home toy phone, or rather I have been playing with it. It plays everything as it should. The only button that consistently changes is Wally’s, which either doesn’t play at all or warbles out something incorrectly.

Today it rang for me. Sometimes it will do this, I assume a button must be jammed to consistently play that noise. Instinctively I answer it but nothing will come out. I have caught myself saying hello into the receiver in the past, but I’ve stopped now.

There is a toy phone that we see in the Playfellow exhibition that has listed that the clip is broken, so I would assume, given that information, that this phone is the one that W is referring to.  I need to review the QA’s information to confirm they are also hearing this phone.  Given that the wooden phone is featured so prominently, I have assumed that this is the phone that is ringing, but the red phone is much more likely, because of the broken audio and the coloring of the phone.

So, they both have had these experiences, and W describes the QA as being very ill:

So, this verification that the QA created staff-only, and that W considers them to have either gone mad, or potentially they were physically unwell.  There is no indication yet whether it is one or the other, or both. 

This is already way too long. But it does seem to strengthen the boundaries of each portion of the site. W is in charge of the main site. Wally has his doodles and hidden sound clips, ans the QA has staff-only. It does lead me to wondering who this contributor is (as mentioned by W on the secret page, that they are unwilling to upset, lest the contributor stop sending things). As always, i have a theory. . .

I've wanted to do a little combo of a wheelchair and ll!Scar's wheelbarrow for a bit now (I watched his POV for the first time around a week ago so lots of thoughts about him). This is my first time drawing a wheelchair and while I did use as many reference pics as I could i'm really not sure if i got all the mechanical bits accurate. That's also why this is so sketchy. AAI2 COLLECTION RELEASE DAY!!!! As a celebration I compiled most of the images I made from the daily series all on one canvas. I left out some doodles (mostly the W.I.P. pics for the plane. Never doing perspective again.) so these are mainly the highlights! I also went back and counted each separate doodle/image I drew of Sebastian/Eustace, totaling to: 49. Forty freaking nine in 78 days. And yes, I am still, not normal about this character (technically I drew him 50 times if you count the doodle on this image).

This won’t be too much about AAI2, so if you’re looking for that then I’m afraid you’re in the wrong place and you should look to my past posts for that!! If you’re still here, thank you for taking the time to hear me reminiscing about all this 👍

For starters, I never expected for me to go as long as I did. After watching the trailer live during the Nintendo Direct I decided that I’d just hop onto my tumblr account I hadn’t used in years to share my hype with everyone else. I had played the fan translation a few years back, and while I certainly enjoyed the game, I wasn’t really crazy about it. So coming out of a bit of a creative burnout, I posted a few doodles and thought that I’d probably stop after a few days.

And then I kept going and going until I just decided, what the heck, why not post something everyday until the game came out? It’d be a fun little thing I could do over the summer + it’d actually get me to practice drawing humans (which I had avoided like the PLAGUE). I genuinely thought that I would last at most 2 weeks.

While I still think I have A LOT I could improve with when drawing people, I’m genuinely happy with how much more comfortable I am drawing them. Here’s just one example of me struggling to draw heads ages ago, god forbid drawing the rest of a person lol.

Honestly the biggest takeaway I want to leave with this is just taking a break every now and then to draw the things you enjoy. And I know, practically every artist says this, but you hear so often how people experience burnouts, have a lack of motivation to draw, or feel like it’s a chore now. Personally for me, I started learning how to draw because I REALLY loved the Wings of Fire series. Similar to now, I’d draw dragons everyday and it pretty much led to me deciding I wanted to become an artist as a career.

I genuinely loved every bit of drawing, but it sort of diminished as I stopped drawing for fun and took it more seriously, leading to me feeling constantly unmotivated for months at a time. Obsessing over the silly Ace Attorney characters reminded me of why I wanted to learn to draw in the first place: so I could create whatever I wanted and be as self indulgent as I wanted lol.

TL;DR: My AA obsession/hyperfixation cured my burnout and brought back my love for drawing, and I recommend anyone who feels the same way to take the time to draw the character, show, game, etc. you love the most!

As a hobby sketchbooker, its a favorite pasttime to go chronologically through old sketchbooks and note improvement. Im gonna supplement the rant below with old art, cuz its relevant and i think they're neat

I see a lot of fan artists getting burnt out. I see a lot of Hetalia artists stay for a bit, then leave for other fandoms (higher pastures, if u will). I use to not understand. How did people become bored so fast?!?!

Ive never been one to switch interests quickly. I was solidly leg deep in my superhero phase 5-8th grade. I started reading exclusively usuk fanfics in 8th grade, and have hardly ventured beyond usuk.

I'm trying to branch out more.

Hetalia is unique in its ability to teach crash course history and have enemy soldiers devouring each others cocks in the same paragraph. Double win!! The concept of international relations translated to human ones, of a nations pain having physical embodiment, of fantastically diverse headcanons dissecting the intrigues of Nation biology... Its all very yummy thinking food

Ive never read the manga, ive hardly watched the show. Im fandom built thru and thru!

Like the pic above, I use usuk as experiments to run all my ideas thru. Mix media,

World building, swatching, expressions and unfamiliar subjects. Theyre my go-to! since I started taking art seriously in 2021 and those events were mainly usuk themed

my styles always changing, and I'm usually using America and England to do it

Combined with writing and a poor conceptual understanding of base material (aka CANON) i have trouble knowing WHO alfred and england are, in my style. They're constantly changing designs make it hard for my writing to capture their characters consistently.

I get so fixated on solving my own inconsistent characterization writing. Its stupid! Im going to college across the country in ten days, for Christ's sake!

Its no use getting worked up over an inconsistent style- this IS the period of constant change, of constant growth and its great fun processing new interests through art, through two characters i am familiar with (even if i somehow don't know them at all)

Ive been reading stories about the royal navy: so i practice some made up naval uniform on england! That's just an example - i really do process new information through them, finding fun in research

Once i couldn't stop thinking about the scene below, about the intrigue of gore (a genre id never taken an interest to). And i was cringing about doing it to myself (about how ouchi it would be), but like all my creative ideas j filter them through characters - it feels safer that way. Then drawing myself in there. Yuck.

So i practice the idea in Alfred. "Oh ouch yup- looks just as gross and painful and I'd imagined. Perfect!!" Now ive got an Alfred doing this gross thing, now i have a headcanon about nations cleaning their tongues witn razors.

Now i wanna write about it. Haha its all a very self-feeding pattern.

Not sure if this rant makes much sense, but basically i STRUGGLE to establish characters. Partially because i play so much with them in my doodles with anything and everything i find interesting - perhaps it makes too many factors for one character.

hi guys!!! im so sorry i wasnt using this app for a bit! ^^' we were really busy going down to the lower floors (i wasnt tho, rodger didnt want me to go down, he said it was dangrous but i really wanted to!!! i did help with the things they came with so i helped!)! rodger says it was for an invesgaton (am i spelling it rite?). :O i think it's for our friends that went missing a bit ago! sprout also was missing, i hope he comes back soon... :( also glisten isnt talking to us that much, rodger says hes sad... :( i think this has smth to do with the icor, thats messed me up :( ik rodger doesnt want me to think abt it, but its so hard! it hurt me bad and its hurting them too! :( i really hope im just being a big baby abt this, i dont want my friends to be hurt (even shrimpo, i dont like him but i hope hes ok)! im not sure if i did good spelling on this, when i asked for rodger's help, he said i shouldnt post this. :/ but idk why! i need to update my friends on here! im sure ill be fine if i dont show him this post, he dosnt need to know. ;3 so if i talk abt whats going on, it might not be as good as when he helps me :p i cant wait to get more asks from you guys! ill make sure to tell you guys when smth happens! ^^

chapter x - the singing bells (redraw of a picture from the vault)

creating has been very difficult for the past two months. i'm forcing things to chug along, but i can feel it in my brain. sometimes when i get like this, i revisit older pieces and redraw them. i've been trying to be even more intentional with the redraws though--what about the original picture can i improve on? what from the original is worth keeping and expanding on?

in this case, as you see in the next slide, i think the biggest improvement i made was composition. the original pic was a doodle of OCs a childhood bestie and i made as kids (although i sorta took them when we grew up and went into the sunset with them XDDD). that old pic was drawn in mspaint in 2009 (15 years ago!) so i obviously wasn't thinking about composition or anything. i think at best, i was trying to mimicry anime posters/illustrations i had seen of character faces just collaged on top of each other…

for my redraw, i essentially did the same, but i wanted the characters to be more grounded in reality. (and again, i wanted the bell tower to be more of the focal point.) i also drew on a bit of hagio moto (i don't think it's visible here at all) or just the aesthetic of older shoujo manga, hence the loss of color.

what i like about this scribble is how i managed to still translate the positioning of the characters' faces. see how the girl on the leftmost in the original picture is looking at the girl with tears in her eyes in the middle? i made it more obvious this time in the redraw, turning her head in her direction. in retrospect, maybe i could've played with her hair or the lighting on the crying girl who now turned badass-showing-midriff so there would be some leading lines to dress girl but alas.

speaking of which, i'm so glad i made her more badass. i won't get into the lore, but these are all actually the same character, just at different points in their lives/timelines. and… well, my current iteration of the lore for these characters is that leftmost girl has an identity crisis that definitely would not have her wearing some boring ass pink tank top as an adult.

anyway, the title of the arc these characters showed up in was called "silver singing bells" but like, let me tell you, as the god of their world. THERE ARE NO SINGING BELLS. HELL, THE DEUS EX MACHINA THAT ALLOWS TIME FUCKERY TO HAPPEN ARE NECKLACES. YOUNG ME JUST RANDOMLY PICKED WORDS THEY THOUGHT SOUNDED KINDA COOL AND SAID "YEAH!" but. a homage is a homage. young me drew a lot, even when they were down in the dumps, which is something i haven't even been able to do so… kudos to them, yeah? and so, i kept the singing bells for the fake chapter title at least lol
