no offense or anything, but anyone that was aware of the sheer amount of abuse, neglect, and exhaustion that the boys experienced consistently for the entire time that they were together would’ve known that the hiatus was never gonna be an actual hiatus. you knew they were done, or at the very least, you hoped that they were.

Once again, to celebrate this awesome day, I thought I'd give another shout-out to some more of those wonderful ladies that I alove and admire, both those who hve inspired me for a while now, and those that I just recently discovered ...
IMAN VELLANI. Oh my sweet girl! :3 Exploding onto the scene thanks to the recent acclaimed hit/fan favourite that was the Disney/Marvel Ms. Marvel streaming show, the most adorable geek girl in ALL THE WORLD really got a major, much deserved profile boost (regardless of the problems) thanks to her co-starring return to the role of super-popular young Marvel superhero Kamala Khan in The Marvels. She's a genuine absolute SWEETHEART and she deserves all the success that's surely coming to her.
GIDEON NAV & HARROWHARK NONAGESIMUS. Yup, I have FINALLY gotten round to reading Tamsyn Muir's ridiculously popular sci-fi fntasy novel series The Locked Tomb! It's still early days, I'm only on Gideon the Ninth, but I am ALREADY falling head over heels in love with the story's central duo, the reluctant warrior Gideon, a snarky oversized golden retriever of a woman, and her "hated" charge, Harrow, the scheming, overly-ambitious scion to an ancient clan of intergalactic necromancers, who's a metaphorical vicious little soaked ferret. I love them, they're so adorably dysfunctional ...
AWKWAFINA. For me, one of the funniest people around, this musician, comedian and actress deserves every ounce of success she's earned for herself. I mostly know her for her acting, having been a fan ever since she was in Ocean's 8, since showing up in a raft of great roles in the likes of Shang-Chi & the Legend of the Ten Rings, Raya & the Last Dragon, Crazy Rich Asians and Swan Song, although she's REALLY hitting her stride now, showing up in REALLY BIG stuff like Renfield, Quiz L\ady and, now, the incoming (and long-awaited) Kung Fu Panda 4.
TATIANA SUAREZ. Perhaps the most incredible sportswoman I have come across in a good long while, this one is a TRUE INSPIRATION REVELATION. A strong up-and-coming contender for UFC World Champion, she's been through SO MUCH in her life to get where she is now, having had her teenage dreams of being an Olympic Gold Medal wrestler dashed after an accident during training led to the discovery of a burgeoning case of thyroid cancer. Fighting off the condition, she then fought her way back after embracing judo and then mixed martial arts, before AGAIN suffering a debilitating neck injury which NEARLY ended her sporting career again, forcing her to take another long-term hiatus to get back into fighting shape ... just as COVID hit. Now she's back again, fighting fit and better than ever, hungry for that next chance and looking like she's definitely gonna get it this time ...
SINEAD O'CONNOR. The last 13 months have been really tough, we've had to say goodbye to some truly wonderful people, but one in particular REALLY HURT. The music industry lost a true GEM with the passing of this genuine GODDESS, the Irish singer-songwriter best known for her INSANELY popular cover of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U, although those in the know recognise that she was ONE HELL of a force nature in her own right, courting controversy throughout her career for her outspoken religious and political views. She NEVER backed down on what she believed, and earned my undying respect and admiration for it.
FLORENCE PUGH. A completely amazing young actress who's had a trily ASTOUNDING rise to fame in recent years, I've be a fan of Flo's ever since she broke out in a MASSIVE WAY in the twisted psychological drama Lady Macbeth. She's blown us all away since, lighting up the screen in the likes of midsommar, Don't Worry Darling, Oppenheimer and, now, Dune, Part Two, but now, for me she will ALWAYS be Yelena Belova, the true successor to the MCU's Black Widow mantle.
MIZU. One of my favourite female characters of the past year (although I'm sure she would balk at actually bringing up her gender), the titular lead protagonist of Netflix' wild runaway success new animated series Blue Eye Samurai is a genuinely fascinating and intoxivating character, who prompts profound debate about gender roles and personal identity while kicking arse in SPECTACULAR FASHION indeed in feudal Japan.
TEYONAH PARRIS. Definitely one of THE MOST AMAZING African American actresses coming up right now, this young lady is definitely earning her breakout star status. Having come up through sterling turns in the likes of Dear White People, Chi-Raq, If Beale Street Could Talk and Candyman, before finally making good on all that promise with high profile lead turns in THey Cloned Tyrone and her ongoing role as MCU superhero MOnica Rambeau/Photon in Wandavision and The Marvels.
BILLIE EILISH. What do I REALLY need to say about one of the most popular and astoundingly unique musical artists of the moment? Ever since her breakthrough at just THIRTEEN YEARS OLD with her wildly successful first single, Ocean Eyes, which became a massive runaway smash on Youtube, this incredibly talented young singer songwriter has consistently impressed with ever release, entirely deserving her immense success with an amazing debut EP and two subsequently BRILLIANT albums. She keeps going from strength to strength, and at just 22 years old is only just BEGINNING what's sure to be a MONSTER of a career ...
KITTY O'NEIL. A true legend in cinema, even though most of us have NEVER actually seen her face, this little lady was one of the GREATEST stuntwomen and racers of all time, and a MASSIVE inspiration throughout her life as well. Despite going deaf due to illness during childhood, Kitty still went on to become a record-breaking racing driver and professional stunt performer, probably best known for having doubled Linda Cart in Wonder Woman and Lyndsey Wagner in The Bionic Woman. It's a genuine mystery why Hollywood hasn't made a biopic about her yet ...
HOLGA KILGORE. Probably my ABSOLUTE favourite fictional female protagonist of 2023, the badass barbarian lady from Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves was a pure, unapologetic JOY, thanks in no small part to a wonderfully game turn from Michelle Rodriguez. Holga's just an absolute sweetheart, fully capable of decimating a whole room full of big, dangerous men with her bare hands without ever losing her gentle kindness, simple, honest innocence and unswerving loyalty. TRULY the MVP warrior tank any adventuring party wants in their corner ...
SIOUXSIE SIOUX. Truly one of alternative rock's true, all time GOATs, the lead singer of one of goth's greatest and most important bands, Siouxsie & the Banshees, is a singular master of haunting, ethereal vocals and a genuine style ICON who lent her look and manner to a whole GENERATION of scary young women ...
SABINE WREN & SHIN HATI. While my favourite Star Wars offering of 2023, the opening season of the Ahsoka series, was, all round, just SO GREAT for me, there was one particular element that just stuck with me above ANYTHING ELSE - the season-long rivalry between Ahsoka's troubled Mndalorian apprentice Sabine and Dark Jedi student Shin. They raged, continuously tried to kill each other and endlessly traded smouldering looks of hate that bordered on OBSESSION ... all while genuinely SIMMERING with barely restrained sexual tension. They made the whole fandom FERAL, myself includced. #wolfwren indeed ...
BRODY DALLE. And last, but BY NO MEANS LEAST, a little more personal self-indulgience ith one of my greatest rock-fan super crushes, namely the awesome Aussie lead singer/guitarist of supercool punk bands the Distillers and Spinnerette. Still rocking her iconic status to this day, she remains a genuine inspiration ...

No matter how much I love Wakana and how good "Flag" is, it's just too pitiful to see, how she grasping at straws after getting a rare good reaction on her song. I'm just literally sad. She was so eager to try herself in solo and I can't understand what she was doing all that time, while dreaming about her solo. Puts, what are your thoughts on that matter?
Hmm, I couldn't disagree more. I feel like we are not on the same wavelength here. In my opinion, her actions aren't pitiful at all. Why pitiful??
Yes, the reception to "Flag" has been overwhelmingly positive but I don't believe this has ever been a case of Wakana resting on the laurels of her success. And I certainly don't understand how releasing the song digitally could be misinterpreted as "grasping at straws" or a last desperate attempt to milk this success. I would argue that the digital release is something that fans have wanted for a very long time so basically they are doing us a favour. And from what I can tell, most of us are grateful about the announcement.
It honestly makes sense that they waited so long with the release because they had probably always intended to use it as a juicy sampling for the upcoming 3rd album 『そのさきへ (Sono Saki e)』 in May. It's good to have a crowd-puller to promote an album when all other tracks are basically new and unreleased.
As for Wakana's pseudo-"hiatus". Please let's not forget that many artists were hit hard by the pandemic, Wakana being no exception. Concerts and events had to be postponed or cancelled, lots of regular promotional activities had to be completely stopped. Getting together for big productions was made impossible. People were losing their jobs left and right because no one was hiring them. These past few years were definitely no walk in the park. Of course any management or label would hesitate to fund a proper album release in such dire and uncertain times. Wakana is no high-profile name who is sure to bring in a ton of profit so the risk of suffering major losses with an album release like that is pretty big. You may not be aware of this but the production value for Wakana's albums has always been quite high (especially compared to most of the stuff we've gotten from Keiko or Hikaru) so finishing one of those things takes more time and money than you would expect. It's never a good idea to force a release just because you want to stick to a certain schedule. You wanna make sure to dot all your i's and cross your t's before committing to such a big project. The situation with the pandemic is finally calming down and Japan is even loosening all of their mask regulations so this offers a wide range of opportunities for Wakana and her team (e.g. media appearances, release events, tours, etc). Waiting this long for a 3rd album was definitely a struggle for all of us fans but ultimately, it was probably the best decision they could have made in these circumstances.
So yeah, these are my thoughts on the matter. Wakana was holding regular events so it's not like she disappeared from the face of the earth. I am sure she was dying to make more music and share it with us but if not everyone involved in the process is willing to take the necessary steps, there is no way an album is gonna be made - unless of course you want to release something half-assed into the world (however, that sort of quantity-over-quality method is clearly not working for Keiko so why would it work for Wakana?).

So this is largely me thinking out loud and i don't expect anyone but me to care about this but. Ok, my thoughts in order
1. I have... maybe 18 years of Wiki editing experience and I am a good archivist. I admined one of the most popular fan wikis (3mil views per month) for ~6 years where I have 30,000+ edits. Yes that's a lot. No I don't know what grass feels like. But what I'm saying is I'm good at documenting.
2. The Abbott Elementary wiki has excellent episode pages, but very poor character pages. This is absolutely not a neg against the wiki or the contributors, far from it. The episode and transcript pages are very well done and comprehensive, and as someone who has done transcripts myself and knows how long it takes, they have so much of my respect. As a heavy-user wiki editor you tend to find your particular editing niche you enjoy and that's your thing you do, and you do it well. It's like any other type of fan creation, like finding a type of fanfic you like to write, or a particular art style you enjoy drawing in. That's what they're doing over there and they're great at it and I use those pages a lot.
3. Character pages are the ones that take a ton of time and archival, much more than I think most readers understand. For a good, solid page, probably 6-10 hours of writing minimum is required to write a chara page from scratch, not including the time spent rewatching the material. To update post episode for all charas from all charas different perspectives, at least 2-5 hours per episode (for an uncomplicated series, for high fantasy series with tons of lore... yikes). For this reason, poorly maintained chara pages is true of most wikis that aren't EXTREMELY active (the majority of wikis, believe it or not, have maybe 2-5 contributors at best, oftentimes just one guy with autism (me, i'm the guy)). People think they can do it, cause why wouldn't it be easy? so they try, then realise just how long it's gonna take and then bail and they're never seen again. It's why most wikis (except for Big series) are an unupdated ghost town. It's unpaid volunteer work for no praise or reward, so it's understandable. It's also very demoralising work. There's no kudos or comments or likes, nobody tells you good job. So it's a huge timesink just for the knowledge you contributed to the fandom, and hoping someone finds it useful, but never hearing if it was. "Anyone can edit a wiki" is true, but I can tell you point-blank that the reality is that most Good wiki pages you've ever seen were 95% written by just one person, and it's Work. The burnout is real and I've felt it, it's why I've been on effectively a wiki hiatus for nearly 2 years.
4. Because the Abbott cast is significantly smaller than the one I used to work on (52 main charas over 4 games vs a core cast of 6+1), writing good chara pages is something I could theoretically realistically do, because it's not as large as I am used to in my last experience, but it would, as I said, still be a huge time commitment.
5. I wish the pages were better, because there's so many times I've wanted to look up a fact and have been unable to do so - and making this a reality is within my means and totally within my experience. But:
6. Because the wiki hasn't had effectively useable chara pages for 2 seasons I'm not sure whether long-time active fans would think to consider the chara pages a resource after seeing them previously and knowing they're empty (I am guilty of this, I don't bother looking at them). So I'm not sure if the time commitment would be worth it. I also don't know if I would be able to commit to iterative updating once S3 rolls around, but at least there would be a stronger foundation for other people to contribute to?
7. I'm also not sure how the admins over there would feel about me blustering in out of nowhere, lol. Having been on the other side of that table I would understand the hesitation of someone coming in swinging.
I don't know. I'm considering it.
#best allegory i can come up with is its as if im trying to weigh up whether its worth starting to write a 200k fanfic or something.#you know what i mean?#i got so badly burned out on wiki editing so its like do i... wanna go back to that.#its absolutely the kind of fan work that feels like a full time job

The one thing I struggle with about the online ST fandom is how certain groups come down so hard on others. If people wanna theorise or speculate let them. If people just want to watch it as it's given to them without deep diving that is absolutely fine too! There is no wrong way to watch and enjoy a show and guess what? The talented writers have created in such a way that you can do either! You don't like what someone's posted, you don't need to go at them for it. Scroll on. It's gonna be a long hiatus! Let's just enjoy the ride
There will always be people like that, it is what it is. In fact, everyone will find themselves doing that at some point if they are indeed confident enough based on all the evidence they've compiled and choose to believe. Because we are all choosing to believe things bc of evidence and other factors out of our control.
Right now both bylers and milkvans are 100% certain about endgame. But they can't both be right can they?... It's just a matter of perspective and being able to think about it beyond wanting to stick to a conclusion and leave it at that.
We don't have to stoop down to other peoples' levels either. We don't have to discredit whole theories and ideas bc one person who subscribed to that same idea said something that we didn't like and some people agreed with them. They do not make up the majority.
Also, it’s possible to agree with people sometimes and not agree with them other times. That's the beauty of free thought and complex thinking.
Not only that but I also think a lot of the times, people aren't even disagreeing. It's like we're arguing about semantics because we reached different conclusions and so we're trying to break each others arguments as being flawed when really at the end of the day we agree about a lot of parts, there’s just very specific aspects we feel differently about. And more often than not, people aren’t going to be able to change their minds if they feel confident in those interpretations, until it’s all said and done at least.
But like you said, if you see something you don't like and you saying something won’t contribute to anything, then leave it be.
Or even just give it a few days, think on it. Maybe you can make a post about it of your own with the evidence to back it up. Often I find giving it some time makes me realize it’s not that deep and I can just continue to think what I think and not always resort to calling out without directly calling out basically.
Bc again it’s often that we’re not even really disagreeing about things, it’s just the wording of it doesn’t match up and we have to find a way to meet somewhere in the middle, if that’s even something either side wants to do. That won’t always be the case for everyone and that’s life. You can’t make people think something just bc you do, and vise versa.
I also suggest if you’re getting hate anons with people being hostile, block. Like always block.
When I get asks, if I have something to say and reasoning to why I feel how I feel, I will try to put it into words. But if it’s obvious the person is just trying to like genuinely troll or be disrespectful, it’s not worth my time. Sometimes people come off sort of snippy and condescending, but it’s not like in every case they’re intending to be outright offensive, they probably just want to show confidence. But still, you can choose to not engage with that if you don’t want to.
We are all responsible for our own experience on here. But also each others in the sense that you are posting stuff other people will see. They might react. If you don’t want people to react then always try to keep that in mind before making posts.
There is a possibility there will be assholes out there. But there will also be fellow fans genuinely just trying to have discourse with you and that can be a good thing, arguably the best thing! Disagreements don’t always have to be bad. Some of the best byler evidence has come from all sides of the spectrum. If we all agreed on everything we probably wouldn’t have gotten that far.

story time people: so as its One Direction 14th anniversary l just wanted to let you guys know how 1d has a major contribution in my exol making. lets dive.....
I found one direction very lateeee .They were the one who introduced me to the concept of boy group like how I boyband works and all stuff. I was so into them there used to be a time I was a prime directioner. after I got to know that they were almost disbanded I was like OKAY its nothing wrong in stanning a inactive group. I learned all their lore ngl. I do keep up little with their solo activities now too. my biases were Harry (I had my reasons for that I am not gonna reveal that) and Niall (my church boy ofc).
so coming back to the point, when I got into kpop I tried stanning lots of groups before exo ( you have no idea) but later I realized I am searching for smthn to similar to 1d in kpop. none of the kpop groups gave me the same connection I felt with one direction thats when EXO came into the picture.
I am not saying that EXO is the One direction of kpop but Idk I felt the exact spark with them like what I felt with one directon I clicked with exo pretty much quickly. One direction and Exo exactly got the songs what I was literally searching for.
anyhow now I think about there were quite lot of similarities between one direction and exo (even the members personality) this is not my opinion completely but I have seen some people pointing out the similarities. so take this with a grain of salt, here we go:
both groups have insanely talented members with everyone being vocally great too
members have left the band in both groups too
both were active as a whole group for more or less five fucking years only ( are you seeing the pattern here)
4. every member in both groups have insanely good solo discographies
5. the similarity which makes me still mad is both have(had) the worst management company ever!! my boys deserves better
6. the group's discographies are untouchable, bangers after banger
7. both are Parasocial kings
8. THE MOST CRUCIAL SIMILARITIES ZAYN AND KYUNGSOO ARE BIRTHDAY TWINS when I got to know to about it I took it as a universe sign for me to stan exo ( you will not believe the first member I noticed in the group were kyungsoo and zayn)
9. both love to ghost their fans so much, the fandom had spent more time in hiatus than being active.( this is a DIRECT ATTACK IK)
10. if you have read this far, I have one more thing to say but I will refuse to tell it here, if you wanna know feel free to dm me
so this is my one direction and exo interconnected lore. thanks for reading it!! I know I was not the only directioner in this exol fandom I have seen many eris too so I guess we are all in the same boat. also don't come at me, I am just pointing it out as I said TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.
I love my exodirection boys at the end of the day so until next time :)

Has literally anyone in the band ever said they dont like danger days?? I've seen some gatekeepers getting on their high horse about how they only played one dd song last night and how the "posers must be fuming" and one specific person tried to argue that the members don't like it. But I physically can't find any evidence of it beyond the tour being a generally shitty time for them?? If anything theres more evidence that they DO like it? Sorry if this is weird or pointless but I can't tell if this person has actual proof or are just pulling shit out of their ass because they don't like danger days lol
UGH. im on mobile rn so im not gonna link to specific interviews but they all love the album and talked a lot about how proud they were of it when it came out, and how writing it was actually a very fun and harmonious process. it was controversial in the fan base at the time of its release (partly because of the major aesthetic change the band underwent, partly bc it was pretty heavily advertised in a way some fans felt was disingenuous i guess) and it undersold the black parade, and then their world tour following it also didn't sell as well as expected. they even ran out of money to make the third mv they'd planned in the na na na/sing universe, so compared to the black parade it was technically a commercial failure. in hindsight, gerard especially has said that tour was a very bad time mentally. it was certainly hard for both him and frank to be away from their children. but they were never anything but proud of the album itself and made that clear in interviews. the only vague negativity from the band i can think of was when frank did a lengthy interview for...i believe ap? in late 2020, where he spoke about his whole career, and touched on the breakup of the band. he mentioned being disappointed that they didn't end up releasing the conventional weapons songs and said he thought in hindsight they should have worked on danger days for a little longer because some of the songs as they are feel slightly incomplete to him, and that was one of his only regrets relating to my chem. The ONLY other thing is an offhanded comment their producer, rob cavallo, made when speculating potential reasons for the breakup, when he said that maybe in hindsight he thought frank was struggling to find parts to play on danger days. but frank himself never confirmed that (he actually made a point of saying there was no tension between him and ray during dd), and in my opinion his guitar parts are much more interesting and less sparse on most danger days songs than they are on most conventional weapons songs, so i'd take it with a grain of salt. i think the gritty simplicity of cw is just kind of more to frank's taste than the more instrumentally conceptual sound of dd, so offhanded comments he's made about that have stuck in people's minds as negativity towards the album maybe.
i for one am very grateful we got to hear conventional weapons in the end because some of those songs are up there among my very favourite mcr songs, but im inclined to agree with what the band said over and over again at the time that scrapping cw as an album to release danger days instead was definitely the right choice. it sounds cliche to say but it was definitely a bit ahead of its time. if my chem had come back from the hiatus with an album that was just a collection of really good songs, and not an actual event with a concept and aesthetic and clear thematic thread, i think it would have been a disservice to the band's core mission statement, which was always to be subversive and unexpected, and to lean into the weird and take the risk even if it meant being misunderstood. conventional weapons is great, and it even kind of addresses some themes similar to danger days (dissolusionment with the state of the music industry, life in that side of LA etc) but it does it without any of the grandiose metaphor and pageantry and uniting aesthetic that's gerard's biggest strength and a huge appeal of the band, yk? anyway. it's fine to not love danger days of course, everyone has their opinions, but it annoys me to see people putting words in the band's mouth. "that was a bad time in our lives" =/= "we don't like that album we created together." also they've played sooo much dd at other shows...you don't see anyone going around saying they hate bullets when they've played entire shows this tour with zero bullets songs on them 🙄🙄
#like if anything bullets seems to be frank's least favourite album but nobody wants to talk about that 🙄🙄#anyway bullets and danger days are in love and holding hands and mirroring each other and i'll hear no slander against either of them#even if it's from frank iero himself. but he wouldn't because he is proud of all of their albums#SORRY this got long again lmao sigh. but i feel you anon i feel you#answered#mcr talk

𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓 #𝟑.𝟓: The Devolution of Nicki Minaj
𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗥: These rant blog posts are really just reflective of my thoughts at the time that I make them and are posted here because I need an outlet to release all of this shit I have going on my busy ass mind. That’s it and that’s all. Now let’s get into it..
Between Nicki being in the tabloids because of the lawsuit her & her husband, Kenneth Petty, are currently in against her husband’s r*pe victim, for going on a public tirade on Twitter about COVID vaccines, or because she’s playing Captain Save-A-Hoe for a mediocre black-fishing racist white woman, it seems like the 38-year-old rapper can’t seem to catch a break. Not gonna lie, this rant is one that is actually heartbreaking especially for the younger me who once loved Onika’s dirty socks and worshipped the ground the self-proclaimed rap queen walked on. However… she needs to be called out on her bullshit. Enough people kiss her silicone injected ass and enable her reprehensible behavior (for FREE at that.)
So let’s start with the most recent occurrence, shall we?
Mrs. Maraj-Petty decided to return from her short-lived musical hiatus on October 8th as a feature on Jesy Nelson’s debut single “Boyz” which was a sample of Diddy’s ‘Bad Boy for Life’. Diddy also made a guest appearance in the music video. Jesy received a great amount of vitriol because of the blatant cultural appropriation alongside fetishization of black men depicted throughout the music video. Maraj-Petty took it amongst herself to come to the former Little Mix’s group member’s defense and unprovokedly attack Jesy’s former bandmate, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and her husband. It’s quite ironic that Onika would want to mention husbands in general considering hers has a rap sheet dating back as far as when she was still in elementary but we’ll get to that in a second. Onika continues her shenanigans by pulling the typical weak straw man argument of “Well, what about [inserts any white/nb celeb that’s appropriated black culture] ?” Hm… Very interesting to say the least.
Pictured below: Jesy Nelson with a notably dark tan in comparison to her natural skin tone.
Now surely the Harajuku Barbie would not be excusing somebody that’s not black using black culture to benefit themselves especially when she berated a certain Grammy-Award winning femcee for frequently using the N-word and calling black women ‘roaches’. Oh no! Not on Beyoncé’s internet, she didn’t! But of course she did and you wanna know why? Because she doesn’t actually care. Her association with 6ix9ine was proof of this and as a matter of fact, she deflected from being held accountable for doing a song with him by bringing up Lady Gaga doing a song with R Kelly in 2013 and throwing shots at you know who…. for openly supporting Kodak Black (another s*xual abuser) on Twitter.
But y’know the right screenshot is photoshopped according to the Barbz so we gonna move right along…
Troubling times like this genuinely make me question why exactly was I ever a fan of hers in the first place. Was she always this problematic all along and my naiveté blinded me from seeing it or did she just become more & more insufferable the older she got? In hindsight, nothing she’s doing now is completely out of character for her. She’s not ‘going out sad’. She is sad and has been for a while now. The reason why she can kiki with the worst of abusive men is because she shares the same exact low vibrational energy and moral bankruptcy. Not to mention, she has the same internally misogynistic skewed views about other women which brings me to another major factor as to why her career has taken a freefall in the past 4 years.
Nicki does not like other women.
Yeah, I know. Hard pill to swallow, right? I’ll admit for the longest, I truly believed back when her & Lil’ Kim were feuding that Kim was the bitter old hag. I believed Remy was a jealous hater when she dropped Shether but then…… I had an epiphany. She’s done other songs with other women but did she do them just because she was a good sport or for her own ulterior motives? From the looks from it, she’s had a conflict with just about all of them subsequently after the collaboration. Shall we re-evaluate the Cardi B. feud and how Motorsport played a major key in it all? Or maybe we’d rather discuss how Onika has seemingly been having a one-sided conflict with Megan over WAP & her friendship with Cardi? Maybe not. That’d require me to pull out too many receipts and quite frankly, my attention span is too short for that. I say all of that to reiterate once again that I have not nor will I ever take away from Nicki’s accolades or talent.
Nicki is an iconic veteran who has revitalized the brand of the modern-day female rapper and has went on to have major success. She reigned supreme for a hot minute and was the it girl of the 2010s. You could not turn on the radio without hearing Nicki Minaj’s verse on somebody’s song. You could not turn on the television without seeing her face either on a music video countdown on MTV or BET, on American Idol or on a commercial. There was no other mainstream female rapper on her level. We had Iggy Azalea for a good summer or two (Chile, she’s a whole mess & a half on her own but that’s another topic) but it pretty much started & stopped right there. There wasn’t a big break for mainstream female rap until 2017 when Cardi B dropped Bodak Yellow, the single that would catapult Cardi’s career and begin her winning streak.
It’d be silly for me to act like friendly beefs never happen within the female rap atmosphere and that Nicki should be singlehandedly responsible for female rap unity but just looking at how the influx of new female rappers came about, it does make me wonder: Why WAS she the only one? That question has been answered numerous times by anyone from fellow femcees past or present to label execs but for some reason, people refused to accept it. It was always someone plotting against Nicki and trying to silence her for being a confident & outspoken black woman but never about Nicki being a catty bitch with no redeemable qualities. It was always someone trying to dethrone her as Queen and take her spot which is ironic because her claim to fame was being Lil’ Kim’s musical daughter. (And before y’all try to argue me on this, I never negated that she was influenced by Foxy as well but that’s not what made her a hot topic in the tabloids.)
Fast forward to now, Nicki Minaj is alleged to have both indirectly and directly contacted her husband’s r*pe victim and offered to fly her & her family to LA so she can recant her statement. In result, he would be expunged off the s*x offenders list and would be able to freely travel with his celebrity wife. In addition, Nicki went on Queen Radio back in 2019 and created a narrative that her husband was ultimately railroaded by a racist judicial system because an older white woman preyed on him. Many of her hardcore stans are either actively harassing & victim-shaming Jen (while trying to prove that she’s not actually being harassed. 🙄) or they’re attempting to absolve her of all responsibility for her deliberate decision to not only publicly date a career criminal off the s*x offender’s list but to adopt his legal woes as well. It takes a special type of arrogance to think your money & power alone is enough for people to ignore the elephant of the room but yet again this speaks to the character of Onika.
This is the same woman who managed to write a letter to the judge requesting that they be more lenient towards her brothers sentence. Let’s also note the fact she utilized her very public platform on Twitter to paint a narrative that her brother’s (ex) wife only fabricated this ‘story’ about her own daughter being r*ped by her stepfather so she could extort his celebrity younger sister out of money. If it walks & talks like a r*pe apologist then more than likely, that’s exactly what it is. Sure. She can’t help who she’s related to however she can choose who she decides to make the father of her child(ren). Her poor choices in romantic partners or even male associates reveal a lot about her politics.
Pictured below: Nicki & Meek’s back & forth on Twitter. (February 5th, 2020)
It’s quite sickening how the woman who once tweeted in 2012, “And for the record on sum serious shit, I think people who abuse children should be stoned to death in public. Period” would later change her tune when the abuser in question is her own kinfolk. It’s also very hypocritical that the woman who prides herself on being the only girl amongst all dudes and men being the inspiration to push her pen also cries about none of the fellow female rappers giving her her props. This just goes to reveal that hip hop culture as is today thrives off of misogyny & violence (whether it be physical, verbal or s*xual) so much to the point where the women in hip hop actually are fighting for an imaginary sense of respect & validation from their male peers that will never truly come into fruition. Often times we’ve wondered how so many abusers were able to exist so comfortably within hip hop without reaping any repercussions for their actions and it’s because we all have enabled them in the name of the ‘culture.’
The culture has evolved into a cesspool full of abusers & enablers and it truly saddens me because I’m a genuine fan of hip hop. I can’t even really pinpoint when it all started but as time progressed, it’s become a never-ending cycle and I just want to know why? Why has the same thing that was once created as a voice for the unheard become so disparaging against its own women? Why have the women accepted this as their norm? The answer to these questions may never make sense to me but until then, I’m done. I’m done with supporting people who I don’t morally align with what I stand for and if that means I have to throw away a lot of my childhood nostalgia, so be it. Compartmentalizing this type of behavior because I don’t want to give up the parts of a public figure I enjoy is extremely selfish and I never want to send off the message that’s ever okay under any circumstance. Someone is always watching and you never know who you may trigger just by you blindly supporting & publicly rallying behind a known abuser/abuse apologist.

edit: you guys can reblog this and our previous post about this, by the way. you don't have to, ofc, but if you want to or feel the same, you can.
so... i know i said we were going on hiatus, but before we do, we just. we wanted to say a few things on the recent matters.
cw for talk of. well. you probably know.
techno has been a major inspiration to us for the past few years. we didn't watch him often, but the times we did always got a laugh out of us. we loved watching the content he made with the SBI, and it. it honestly really hurts to know that, from now on, we're always going to have 3/4ths of the sbi. they're never gonna be complete again.
deep down, a dark part of us hopes this is still just some sick, twisted joke. we know it isn't, but we wish it was.
moving on a bit, we're still going to be posting c!techno content. we believe in the afterlife, not heaven and hell specifically, but we believe that there's a good place and a bad place. the only way one can die twice is if they fade away. memories, told stories, memorials, all things like that prevent fading. one will only fade away when they are forgotten.
we believe techno deserves immortality, memories, and more. he fought a long, hard battle, and ended it in a draw. he deserves it for that. and if the gods above say no? he'll fistfight all of them in the 7/11 parking lot at 3 am. and win.
jokes aside though, techno's death has hit us really hard. we have a few relatives with cancer. one of our family friends that we were closest to passed away from bone cancer. we know how sudden it can be, how fast it can knock the fight out of someone. but more importantly, we know how hard it is to lose someone to it.
all of our condolences go out to techno's family, as well as the families of anyone else going through a similar situation. we know how this feels.
we only have one more thing we want to say, though.
thank you, techno. we know he likely won't see this, but by the chance he does, thank you, on the behalf of the entire mcyt community. thank you for being strong, being funny, being there when your fans needed you. even with your insane upload schedule, you managed to keep everyone entertained and make us all laugh until the very end. thank you for being our blood god, the slayer of orphans and the dropkicker of children (in self defense) (/j), thank you for being you.
im sure you know how much your fans care about you, and i know you cared about all of us just the same. we all hope you've claimed your rightful spot as the true blood god, up there. technoblade never dies, so long as we pass down his story for generations to come. tell them how he beat Minecraft with a steering wheel, tell them of the great potato war, tell them the tales of doomsday and the arctic empire. no matter when you started watching him, tell the next generation what you know.
sorry, this dragged on a lot. we just. we had a lot we wanted to say. on the final few notes, (for real this time), we want to say thank you to this community. we know that we're losing a lot of people because of this situation, but that's their choice and its okay, we'll keep the fire burning bright for their return.
and, even though we really doubt they'll see this; to kai's ex-friends, we hope you all are holding up well through this. even though we never plan to be on speaking terms again, we still care about you guys and want you to be happy.
with that said, thank you for listening to our stupid ramble about this situation. this officially marks the start of our week-long hiatus, we will be posting drawings for primeboys july, and that will be all. its corny, i know, but remember...
we're in this together.
The Splatter System, signing off.

Just wondering because I haven’t actually seen or read anything solid but I have you seen you post/react to things
Why do people hate Ryan? Did he do something?
Oof anon this is not something I would like to rehash this early in the hiatus so I’m just gonna say a few things and that’s it.
Just don’t believe what other people say or clickbait articles. Unless you’ve seen the live (or read the transcript) you will not know the full story bc fandom has twisted it so much it’s unbelievable. (also I’m not gonna post the transcript or send it bc someone else sent it to me so since I didn’t find it I’m not gonna share it).
People hate him bc they want him gone and majority are white fans who hide their own racism behind posts they would call ‘activism’). 🤷🏽♀️
(The only peoples opinions on him who matters are POCs that’s it)

Ah. There’s a whole carnivores vs herbivores discussion going on with Beastars fans and lmao it really misses the point to want to put the spotlight on one as the bad one. Like…. It misses the point of the whole manga😭 a lot of people have only watched the anime though, so I see maybe why. The anime has only covered essentially the first major arc, nothing else. Only the school life, which is very different from what we see later on in the real world amongst citizens.
I think people also need to take in mind Beastars is a metaphor that went one way and then the other, so ir doesn’t work as a clear metaphor for any minority group, whether thats gender, sexuality, or race. So saying one group is like a real group in the world doesn’t work because both carnivores and herbivores can be nasty people. And we haven’t even covered mixed kids on the anime ajdjjdjdjdj. The metaphors work if you cover a specific situation, but not as the whole group. Idk if that was done on purpose or if the writer missed the mark, but it is done that way. Both groups have really nasty characters with really nasty believes. Legosi’s whole family is a great example of what the world did with carnivores (like his mom, rip that woman).
Riz is also a really complex character, and that is seen also beyond his arc. But he is also problematic lmao idk why people are mad others dislike him and find him problematic. He is. Which is why he is a good character, he is complex, not a one dimensional bad guy. But nonetheless still problematic, y’all can’t just ignore that. And you can’t force people to like him either. What he did was super fucked up, and it really doesn’t represent how carnivores in general behave either. I see both arguments being like “but he had to go thro this poor carnivores” and that us wrong. Same with “and he did this carnivores behave like that” which is also wrong😭 Riz was a very specific character with specific beliefs made up by his specific circumstances. Him as an argument to go with or against carnivores really doesn’t work. Then again, him and other teens that are also trying to understand the world around them are all we know from the anime. We haven’t seen adults and the way the systems in society are fully set up yet. So i get it, is just annoying to see ajdjdjd.
Beastars fandom has always been murky but my god people who only have extended knowledge of the anime are really at each other’s throats and no one is seeing the full picture, or they are trying to stick with metaphors of the real world that don’t really work. Idk if that makes the writing bad bc they failed with metaphors, or good because that was never quite their intention to begin with. Up to interpretation i guess.
Also many parts of what ended up being my fave from the manga were either cut or haven’t bern animated yet, so im a lil bored with the anime sjdjdjd but i’ll give it my views on Netflix if only bc I really want to see that last arc animated and see my lizard grandpa’s story shown. And Haru’s family meet Legosi. And to see Louis’ weird leg connection with Legosi shown too. Lots of cute moments I wanna see animated so they better get more seasons😭
Prob won’t go through the tag bc i feel like a lot of people are arguing for one side or the other and missing the point by miles (which when the manga was coming up and the anime was on hiatus I didn’t see as much). So i’m just gonna stick with Gosha content bc he owns my heart and continue with my day knowing things work out for all the characters I care for anyways shdjdjjdjd

Ok so I’m a new Roswell fan, I recently got into I it and I have to say what did you think/thoughts about season 2? I personally didn’t really enjoy it, mostly because of Maria/Michael relationship; I thought they didn’t have any chemistry and it kind of made season 2 Blah to me. I hope Season 3 makes up for it.
Welcome to the show and fandom, nonnie! ❤️
Mhmmm, loaded question. I didn’t actually watch most of S2 (basically only watched Alex and Malex scenes + some flashbacks) bc there was so much I disliked just reading about. I know what happened, and I watched some additional scenes for better comprehension, but S2 overall is one huge disappointment for me, and I prefer to basically ignore everything that happened, apart from some hand-picked things.
I think the idea behind S2 wasn’t bad in general, but the execution left a lot to be desired. S2 lacked a main arc for most of the season, beloved characters were sidelined (hello, Kyle Valenti), you can pretty much skip S2 in its entirety and not miss out on major knowledge about the aliens, most of the friendships were ignored, some characters felt really OOC at times, Liz was separated from most of the others and was no longer the center of her own show, apart from very few moments the season was total garbage for Malex, and the list goes on.
I’m putting most of the blame on the previous show runner, who with her helicopter parent/control freak tendencies and love of tired tropes and trauma porn did a lot of damage (last minute re-writing of other writers’ scripts, making all the decisions in the cutting room etc).
So for me personally, S2 is a massive trash fire. There are other fans who loved the season, and that’s o/c just as valid, but I hated most of it, and was rather discouraged for S3 to be any better (esp. in regards to Malex).
But then the most incredible miracle happened: the previous show runner left! And now the show’s in her former co-show runner’s hands. Chris Hollier, an experienced writer and producer, also a known romantic with a knack for sci-fi - sounds good to me tbh!
The cast loves him, and especially Jeanine won’t get tired of singing his praise. S3 seems to be much more of a collaborative experience, and everyone seems to be genuinely excited.
And going by Vlamis’s and Tyler’s relentless rooting and fanboying for Malex, I expect them to happen in S3, too, so that’s also a good thing. 🥰
I’m probably one of the more/most optimistic people tho, not everyone’s quite on my level of positivity, but it’s what I need to do in order to make it through the hiatus. In case S3 sucks, I’m leaving it to future!me to deal with any disappointment. :P
I don’t think there will be as much major disappointment as there was during S2 tho. S3 won’t be perfect, but I’m fairly certain it’ll be much more coherent, Jeanine recently told a fan during a virtual meet & greet that S3′ll focus a lot on the friendships between the core 8 (which I love sooo much!!!), and the handful of vague spoilers we’re aware of suggest, that there will be a main plot that involves Deep Sky, and maybe the Alighting along the way. And yeah, Malex, I firmly believe they’re going to happen.
Fingers crossed that S3′s gonna rock! \0/

Same fan anon here. If you feel comfortable answering, if you mods feel unappreciated, what are your reasons for staying in the fandom? Running a blog is such a commitment. It seems to me like you’re creating a community for fans of this band, when the band’s contributions and efforts pale in comparison. I’m sure 5sos cares for their fans. I’m sure they do. I just don’t understand why they always do this. It sucks. Honestly, it really hurts. What makes you stay?
I’m gonna take this one particularly because I’ve left the fandom a couple of times. The other mods are welcome to add their own personal experiences as well!
The first time I left was all my own bs, it was before the hiatus and I had personal shit going on and just wasn’t paying attention anymore. As soon as WYB came out I was back in full force. The music from YB era was exactly what I needed at the time.
The second time I left was right after CALM came out. I unfollowed all the members, the band account, deleted my stan twt and even rebranded my 5sos tumblr. I felt the underappreciaton on top of basically hating the majority of the album. I felt there was nothing to stay for and it fucking sucked.
I’ve been a fan of the band since I was 14 or 15, which by the time CALM came out was 7-8 years of my life. I’d grown up with them, with their music and was really close in age to them. My relationship with 5sos and their music is different to my relationship with any other artist/group that I love. Loving them was almost a part of my identity and I felt really let down. Part of my identity, as in I’d put in so many hours, so many years of energy and love into this band and watched them grow bigger, go through personal struggles, watched them mature and grow into men. It’s not that I don’t know who I am without them, it’s just like I didn’t know how to not like them if that makes sense?
To see them turn their backs on that to “appeal to different kinds of fans” meaning men fucking hurts. I could go into a lot more issues I have with their behaviour, attitudes and the way they choose to do the things they do currently but I won’t. I wouldn’t say I’m back in the fandom now... tentatively I’m watching. I appreciate that they’ve spoken about BLM and the accusations even though they were told not to. It sheds light on recent and not so recent events. I’m seeing some growth, but then they seem to go 10 steps back. I’m afraid to trust them again, because they still mean so much and allowing myself to believe in them again just to be let down... it would kill me.
I love what 5sos used to be. What 5sos used to represent and what they used to mean to me. I don’t know them anymore. I’ll always have love for their older music, and the memories. The shit they helped me through, but they aren’t those people anymore, I guess. I don’t think only they are to blame for the negative change in themselves and the band and its direction. Sorry this part is so long, but this band used to be so important to me, they were very close to my heart.
As for the blog, a while after Piper left ST she got in touch with me. We rekindled our friendship and have worked through our stuff. After I left ST, I missed it. And Piper and I would talk about it sometimes. I felt bad for the community we had built. I felt like I’d abandoned them, and they were important to me. All those feelings I explained up above, our community understood to an extent. They maybe didn’t all agree, but it was a good place. We were able to have a dialogue about our negative feelings or opinions without being attacked like on twt. It wasn’t perfect but nothing ever is. I missed talking to the anons, and the few people who I DMed with. Piper felt the same way, and happened to be starting or had recently started this blog with Phoebe, who is also wonderful (and adorable 🥰) badabing badaboom here we are. Hope that answers your question.
TLDR; I don’t stay for the band anymore. I stay for the people I’ve met through the band.

Talking about the Bees
Over the years bmblb has given me a mix of emotions that were difficult to explain but I’ve gotten a pretty good handle on them now and I’m kinda just putting them out into the air. Bmblb is a really cute ship; Blake and Yang are aesthetically pleasing together and fans come up with really interesting things for them. Outside of that however, it is a bit of a challenge to enjoy this ship and it comes down two things really.
The first thing is really easy to explain. It suffers from what most ships in shows have where there’s plenty of pairings; it’s gotten so big that it’s constantly louder than most ships. This problem really can’t be fixed all that much unfortunately. For those who don’t get what I’m saying I’ll explain. When I watch RWBY and Blake and Yang do anything together, I instantly know social media is gonna be flooded with it. The fans are all gonna post similar things regarding that clip that everything else about that episode practically gets drowned out. I remember in V5 where countless of people were talking about how Yang was gonna react to Blake in the final episode and not about how she was gonna confront her mother. What makes it seem louder is even during a hiatus there’s no real slow down. Someone can make a post saying “Bees killedAdam” today and it most likely trend higher than an extremely well drawn picture of Oscar. No other ship does this. When major things happen to big ships like White Rose and Renora people eat up for a couple of weeks then move on; they don’t even flood the hashtags really. It’s only Bmblb that has this constant high 24/7 because of the sheer size and energy of the shippers; that’s why it’s super easy to upset the hive; not to mention the Wasps.
The second thing is a bit more controversial but these are my opinions and obviously no one is obligated to agree with me. Bmblb to me does not seemed earned. Like I said, they look cute together but their relationship is really hollow and leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion. It’s like Rooster Teeth made all the plot points but never connected them; some have dashed lines but that’s it. Yang in vol5 was so touchy over the subject of Blake that she lashed out momentarily at Weiss and Ruby. Even after talking about it with Weiss, a lot of pent of emotions were still there and could only be resolved by confronting Blake with them. At the end of the volume I held out hope that her saying they were fine was just because it was the end of the volume. Then we got to V6
It starts of good with their being this awkwardness between them; things aren’t normal yet and that’s good. Next major thing is the barn scene and that’s where the ball drops. Yang getting upset at Blake for her comment about being protected should’ve been the flood gate for a well of deeper problems. Yang should’ve ripped into her about all the pain she’s caused her since V3. Blake didn’t believe Yang during the tournament incident, then she left without a word, now she’s back by coincidence and talking about standing by people when they need help. That aggression she showed Ruby and Weiss should’ve been in full force here while Blake tried defending herself and also getting a angry instead of Yang just leaving; then having her help only Blake a few scenes later. I mean Yang has a golden opportunity to talk about her abandonment issues here.
That argument could’ve caused the both of them to not speak to each other and only be hurt up until the airship mission. Instead of a cute scene of Blake telling Yang how bad stealth she is, replace it with Blake trying to apologize again and clear the air as Yang only listens because as much as she wants to forgive her, she’s genuinely hurt so Blake goes to do her part of the mission without an answer. Then Adam shows up and Yang rushes into action like in the show. Both of them are forced to get their shit together and face the vital reason they are in this emotional situation. The scene plays out as normal about them protecting each other and we have them both break down and crying after they beat him too. They’re both apologizing for everything that’s happened and Yang tells her how much Blake means to her. Now these awkward and cute scenes in V7 feel earned between them and not bait because they have a complete arc.
We know Rooster Teeth can pull this off because they’ve made a complete arc before. Blake met Sun and he started as a stranger she’s into and would help her with or without permission. She likes it until it becomes a problem in V4 where she actively tries shuts him out of her life and is upset that he’s around to the point she hits him. Sun however continues to push the boundaries. This comes to a head where she gets really upset after he could’ve died. Both of them end up having a serious conversation where they air out all of their emotional stress. Then we spend V5 with Blake actively including him and giving him information about her life willing to the point she tells him about Ilia’s past and let’s him know she’s going to meet her.
This payoff keeps happening from that point forward where they have each other’s back and supporting one other until the end of the volume. The two of them confident that they don’t even have to constantly be around each other and that they can handle things separately. Then the arc closes in the beginning of V6. Blake went from hitting Sun and not wanting him around to being sad that he’s leaving her and kisses him on the cheek. Sun isn’t worried about her and trying to stick with her. He knows Blake is where she needs to be and doesn’t pressure her to figure everything out so fast; he respects her boundaries. They had a complete arc.
This is why Bmblb and BlackSun are so aggressive. More fans love Bmblb and they are drowning in evidence that their ship will be canon, BlackSun feels more complete. Their relationship has matured more naturally; the dots connect. There’s just not as many dots at this point. I’m not picking sides or anything because at this point o think Blake should be single and focus on who she is as a person for awhile, which would do Yang’s character some good. Yang has not initiated any meaningful conversation or action with anyone except Blake and her mom. Weiss just happened to be kidnapped by Raven and she also made Yang open up after her lash out. Yang barely talks to Ruby and outside of V1 and their hug in V5 there hasn’t been a real heart to heart with them, but she’s talked with, or about Blake plenty with varying emotions. Jaune is consistent with his feelings. Pyrrha makes him sad and any serious conversation holds a wait of him struggling to press on and slowly getting better because almost everyone has talked to him to help progress his character. Yang is trapped in a bubble talking to Blake and Blake is only allowed to really talk to Weiss if it’s about racism.
I know it’s a bit of tangent but Rooster Teeth is kinda letting this problem bleed over into other characters; especially when it comes to making plot points with no lines. Perfect example we got this volume. Ruby has been in the mindset that she failed to save Penny for like a year and felt crushed about her friends death, yet did not sob uncontrollably learning that her friend was alive. But she cried when she saw her sister, a person she left at home who wasn’t talking to her. If Pyrrha came back you could bet everything that Jaune would be on the floor in tears because it would be weird of he didn’t do that for someone he mourned over. It’s almost like if it’s not shipping related then RT doesn’t care that much but they obviously love Bmblb, yet it’s skeleton of what it should be by now!
That kinda wraps up the basis of my feelings towards the Bees. I really do think this ship is nice but it’s just so lack luster for the amount of people who love it way more than me and for RT to try and sell people on it. I don’t like comparing shows but for anyone who’s heard of The Dragon Prince, season 3 is nine episodes yet the evolution of two characters relationships feels way more natural; also it wasn’t planned from the beginning of the show. If they can do it, Rooster Teeth can too. I say this because I care and want to see the show improve. Like besides Adam, what do Yang and Blake have to talk about? Yang never is in the above faunus oppression. Anytime Blake gets racism thrown her way it’s Weiss that deals with it. Blake and Yang killed the lifeblood their ship was riding on way too long.

Random Ask Dump - Anniversary Edition (50+ REALLY OLD ASKS!)
Going through OLD AND CRUSTY ASKS to try and chip away at the inbox. HERE WE GOOOO...
That’s an interesting idea, and I could run it by Cake, but I think it would honestly be a LOT to track from a programming perspective. Especially ‘cause killing Sans is gonna result in a “bad ending,” so to speak.
An attempt was made by Undyne to have all three hang out at the same time. Papyrus was SUPER EAGER. ...but one thing led to another and there were many messy explosions of chemicals and lots of smoke. Alphys had to step in before things got out of hand. It was all very daunting for her. Pap and Undyne are VERY LOUD, VERY AMBITIOUS PEOPLE.
I actually have some ideas of some side comics I may do at some point! :o It’s just that right now there’s a lot going on.
I need to poke Carni about that at some point. He’s just been very busy with other projects!
Clearly he’s standing on the “out to lunch” sign.
I wanna say that it’s very possible in theory. :o It probably affects them differently since monsters’ emotional state affects their magic and their physical state.
I do like little easter eggs like that, though I’m not sure where I’d fit it in atm just ‘cause I already showed Pap’s room, haha.
I made the chase theme for Mad Dummy as well as Mad Mew Mew’s battle theme. @pinewsun made the battle theme for Mad Dummy, and @thomasthepencil made the Season Dude battle theme and MD’s overworld theme. :o
That’s a really fascinating conundrum! You’re absolutely right- if IF was a standalone game, then from a writing standpoint, having more subtle implications would make sense! The reason I chose a different approach for IF is because it’s set after Flowey’s already known to be evil and I like to give different POVs rather than stick to just Frisk’s.
That’s an interesting thing, actually- both fights lean heavily on the fourth wall. Both are treated as climaxes for their given routes. It’s funny because Asriel’s fight is a lot more straightforward and less meta by comparison.
I agree! The thing with Papyrus is that he’s extremely powerful- he just doesn’t want to kill. But it’s a deliberate choice not to kill- he’s able to force his attacks to do next to no damage. He’s also pretty darn crafty, as he made the Gauntlet himself. It really is just a case of Undyne’s personal biases and concern for him.
That was a deliberate choice. :O Papyrus is very influential toward Frisk. He is best skeleboi.
Papybot loves you, anon! He just wants to feed you WHOLESOME SPAGHETTI!!!
It is possible to whistle through teeth. ...alternatively, magic. As for the music, Undertale implies that the music is heard! Maybe it’s just... a thing that exists in this world. Or it’s just meant to be a silly meta joke. I try to keep it somewhat ambiguous other than occasional nods to it. Chara’s pants are lighter because I just... felt like it, I guess? Haha. I wanted their feet and pants to stand out more from each other, so they have khaki pants. As for the Undyne fight being animated, well, this ask is old by now, but Sparks was the one who was down for it.
Well, the teaser’s been out for a long time now, but that’s the idea! It’s also why this has been in production for so long. The Determinator has some really over the top attacks (that weren’t even shown in the teaser), and Sparks animated in Photoshop. That’s how hardcore he is.
Shhhhh. Don’t give me ideas. I’m already slacking on Tem Village. :P
Sometimes I do have slumps and burnouts (see Antipode’s lengthy hiatus), but breaks lead to me being refreshed and coming back with even more enthusiasm than before!
Oh, there are a lot of these throughout the comic. For instance...
Flowey appears in a few background shots in the Ruins!
When Sans says “or maybe...” he looks at the empty flower pot. This was one of the earliest bits of foreshadowing about who created Flowey, and nobody noticed it at the time!
The MTT vending machines initially look like this but have helpful items.
And then they look like this, with an angry face and pose- Mad Dummy has possessed them!
As of Part 38, it’s been revealed that he did first meet Asgore as “Santa.” As for whether or not he knows the truth, time will tell. :o
Oh, these are excellent suggestions for calls! I’ll try to keep these in mind.
So, I believe Glyde uses the Mysterious Door motif. Jerry uses the motif in its battle theme- I believe it’s a mix of original motif and Wrong Number song?
Sans is a master of power napping. He probably gets a decent amount of sleep, though.
There are a lot of ways to interpret Pap’s lack of sleep! In IF, he can get by without it, but he also has a lot of reasons to avoid sleeping. Some reasons include productivity but also due to a looooot of heavy baggage. More on that later.
I think sleep can definitely make monsters healthier. Rest = better mental health as well as physical health, and with how important mental and emotional help is for monsters, that’s very important!
They just really like socks. Socks are warm. Socks are slinky. And googly eyes are the best. So they took on the form of a really eccentric sock puppet and sock collector. Scandalous.
It also has Alphys’ motif, as the two are the leaders of the royal guard!
I would say the lack of Asgore as an influence has left Undyne slightly less grounded? Like, she had Toriel and Gerson in her life, but her relationship with Toriel is... definitely not quite as close? Like, Toriel by that point kept people at an arm’s length due to losing multiple children (including one from old age). So, while they were on friendly terms until the aftermath of the DT experiments and the tapes’ release, it was more like mutual respect and a sorta professional relationship with Undyne admiring Toriel and wanting to spare her from more heartache.
That is a really interesting idea. While that didn’t happen, I do need to maybe revisit the grumpy dog at some point or another. He’s still a lil’ salty.
I think in terms of layout it won’t change much, but there will be new/different content for sure. :O
Mad Dummy’s base design is mostly original, but she has a wig + headband from DIO from Jojo Part 3! Fun fact: While MTT has Kamina shades, Papyrus’ goggles are loosely based on Simon from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in terms of color. :O
So basically, when Asriel defeated Frisk, he had the power over the timeline to reset it as he pleased- in theory. However, that power was overwhelming for him, and due his lack of understanding OF said power and one last ditch attempt at resisting from Chara, things went wrong.
There is a track that takes some inspiration from Rage Awakened. It’s not released, and it’s not exact, but it won’t be released for a WHILE. Like until the part comes out.
I think it’s just the fact that tacos are so random. Like, my biggest beef in that regard was that OG Underswap had a lot of arbitrary replacements for things in UT and not all of them made sense. Like, if Sans was to make a foreign food, ramen would’ve made more sense due to Alphys being weeb trash, haha.
Okay, so the rough timeline iiiis... Falling: - Cyan - Green - Orange - Blue - Purple - Yellow Dying: - Cyan - Orange - Blue - Purple - Yellow - Green
You know, it’s funny because this ask is super old, but that’s basically sorta what happened. :O It became a beach-themed resort.
Never forget MTT fangirl Temmie’s pool escapades.
I think Forgespring for me because I had to make the tileset myself (it took a few months, I think?), but Aquarius was definitely in the works for a while. But once I had the tileset from Fours, the rooms were very easy to design!
That woulda been pretty rad! Maybe I can find another spot for it one day, haha.
I think for Dohj, I’d have to check with Fours, but I’m certainly not opposed at some point? Right now, the following chars can take questions: - Frisk - Papyrus - Sans - Undyne - Alphys - Napstablook - Mettaton - Asgore - Chara - Flowey
Cyan appears in Part 45! :O No answer about orange for now, tho.
I do have vague ideas for Tem village. I just haven’t had time to go back and do it.
Stay tuned and you may find out! :O
Hmmmm... I had a lot of fun with MTT SPIRAL and the Determinator, tbh. They were both very time consuming, but I love how they came out! Also, buff Jerry.
Turnabout Storm. :)
youtube
It’s a really awesome fan crossover that works way better than it should. :P
None taken! We know that with headcanons, everyone is gonna have their own interpretations. These are just the voices we liked for Fireglobe Production, but everyone has their right to their favored interpretations!
Yeah, Knight Knight is one of the coolest CORE mercs in the original game. It was fun to repurpose them for Inverted Fate as royal guards. :o It made room for unique encounters in the CORE in the form of them robots- as Undyne would rather use machines than other monsters to do her work.
Personally, I see it as an Asriel motif, but I also acknowledge that at one point it WAS gonna be an Asgore motif. Toby has a habit of just using whatever music works for a scene (see sans. at the snail farm.)
I do have a few ideas, though I won’t say for what yet. :o
He’s likely made blueprints for that train. :P
It probably would just have different flavor text/progression!
So basically, I treat the starting motif for BAaTH/Power of NEO is just a “true hero” motif.
MTT is definitely major in IF! As for whether or not he’ll have a hangout, time will tell. There’s definitely more to resolve with him, though.
I’m gonna remake at least a few of the older tracks, including Regret. My goal is just to bring the OST to a similar standard of quality.
So, animated parts coming up: Part 47, Part 49, Part 50. There may be some other parts, but we’re gonna wanna scale things back for a little bit for the sake of all our sanities.
I go with both. ;)
Honestly, probably fairly similar to the bully fight in the Ruins- which is why I ultimately decided not to do one. Both fill similar archetypes, though I think if I did do a battle, I woulda still had Flowey interrupt at the end and scare them off.
It’s a very emotional scene. Far more tragic than her geno death, IMO.
Well, the main goal in that regard is the remasters (Part 9 is in progress). Otherwise, I do think these hiatuses are good for working ahead. I’ve still gotta do more work, though, because my buffer this time around is a lot smaller from the trial-hiatus buffer. Alas!
Honestly, the website is the best thing to happen to IF. It’s allowed us to do so much with the comic’s presentation that would be impossible with imgur. NORIX IS THE BEST...

I don’t want to Involve Crazy Fandom anymore
DISCLAIMER: This post contains might be triggered. If you're being sensitive, please do not attack my post, it would be a problem. This topic based on my experience and opinion.
First of all, I was confused to make a title correctly, is it about the reason why i don’t like fandom, i can’t stand of fandom/stan, or i am no longer to be part of toxic fandom. Last time, i wrote 6 Things I Currently Hate on the Internet about Toxic Fandom in Music Community. In this content, I’m going to write about the dark side of being crazy stans or toxic fandom.
Now, I’m almost 25 and i want give some explanation that I have no longer become a fandom based on true story. just because I’m not a very huge fan of idol like artist/band doesn’t mean I’m a fake fan or hater. So I will recognize that last time i become a fandom was 5SOSFAM and K-pop fan including BTS Army.
I was a huge fan of 5SOS since 2014 when i was in high school then later went to university. I started to like their music and the boys. Their music used to be a pop rock, pop punk and power pop but now they turn to pop which i surprisingly not my taste. Then, i like the boys because not only they’re attractive, but also their Australian accent which i adore. I followed their Twitter and Instagram account both of their own account and band account. Then also, I followed 5SOS fan account on social media platform to update what are the boys doing and true story when a fan meet the boys. I remember when 5SOS announced they will tour in Indonesia on March 2016, I was totally shocked but excited to see the boys as die hard fan. Before the tickets announced, hopefully are not expensive. But unfortunately, when the pricelist of the ticket came out, it was beyond unexpected. I was really down and disappointed to see the pricelist. Then, I prayed to God to hope I’ve got a ticket to see my favorite band. Thank god, dreams come true. My dad bought me a ticket which was slightly expensive, but whatever. LOL. Actually, I went to the concert by myself, even though friends at the campus that knew 5SOS was not a huge fan of them which made me sad, but i didn’t care.
Years later, I started to quit as 5sosfam in 2017 when the boys were on hiatus. They decided to go to LA, hang out with their friends or girlfriends of course, mostly they’re partying instead of making a new album. I remember that 5SOS3 which means that 5sos new third album coming soon and i thought it will be released in 2017 but won’t happen.
So let’s talk about 5SOSFAM. I am gonna be honest based on my experience, the fandom was really nice, loyal and friendly especially on twitter when I replied or mentioned about 5SOS on fan account, they replied so nicely and also I tweeted about being positive thinking as a fan although we’re not able to meet the boys, and then i got many likes probably. And then, i went to 5SOS concert Sounds Live Feels Live (SLFL) back in March 2016, the majority of what I have seen at the concert were teenagers and young adults like me. Then. I talked briefly to the fans, they were extremely nice even though we were not getting know each other yet. We’re satisfied to talk about the boys, the dramas, anything like that, it gave me chill. During at the concert, I was screaming, screaming and screaming, singing over top of my lungs, dancing and also fangirling like a 13 years old. Best memories that I have been through.
However, things got pretty toxic when there’s a plenty of drama especially I remember when 5SOS on rolling stone magazine back in 2015. They talked about rock n roll lifestyle and of course fucking with the girls. Everyone thought about the article was fake or not. Back when i was a fan, I completely defended with these dudes and I thought “I can’t believe it, is this true? or I’m pretty sure it was fake.” Then again, when 5SOS rumored they want to spend holiday in Bali, Indonesia end of the year, I was totally surprised. Me as Indonesian were overly proud and happy but unfortunately the drama has begun when the boys were on holiday with LA dudes and girlfriends. That made me want to left the fandom just for a while until the boys started the SLFL tour.
Talking about the drama, the boys currently are dating with girls which is official or rumor, their fandom were started losing their fucking mind and freaked out until now I think and then made an account exposing 5SOS on Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr to expose or rant about their girlfriends. Whereas, there’s fandom who die hard fan of the boys and also defend their girlfriends, support them, made an account like defending 5SOS’ girlfriends. Mostly posted about girlfriends’ photos, making an overused statement like “spread love not hate” just like making a peace, You know what’s the most annoying is “if you don’t like/support/defend their girlfriends, you are a fake fan and you hate the boys”. I hated it when defender 5SOS girlfriends were shipping so hard like Mystal (Michael and Crystal) or Brashton (Ashton and Bryana) or Larzaylea (Luke and Arzaylea) Nialum (Calum and Nia) being called “mom and dad.” If they broke up, they will be desperately sad and made meme like when Brashton broke up, insert Broken Home song with quote “hey mom and dad when did this end? when did you lose your happiness?”. Then I was like FML. Irritating, am I right?
Things got petty when 5SOSFAM make a war between the anti-5SOS girlfriends vs defender 5SOS girlfriends which is extremely toxic and annoying. That’s why I want to left from the room with full of nasty toxic childish stans and want unfollow 5SOS account to never want to look update the boys again. And thank god, i left from that. I have to admit that Ii didn’t like their girlfriends especially their looks. but the only I have to know that their attitude or action what are gonna look like, are they phony, nice, problematic, hypocrite, sweet? i don’t care. Actually I didn’t give a flying fuck when the boys are dating with their girlfriends until now or breakup. Don’t get me wrong, i was delusional when they boys date with their girlfriends both are real of fake. Seriously, Most of 5SOS stans on drama account were jealous just like me, so i defended the drama account LOL because how i loathed their girlfriends so much. Despite i loathed 5sos girlfriends, I never sent them death threads or troll on their own social media account but I commented when the boys were on together with them on drama account with full of jealousy.
I remember when i get attacked by Bryana stan when I wrote a comment something bad on Instagram. Do you still remember Bryana Holly when Ashton secretly was dating her in early 2015? And i thought, oh crap can’t believe they seemed are in relationship when they cuddled together. After Ashton and Bryana broke up in 2016, she started dating with Nicholas Hoult. My reaction was shocked when i saw she kissed with Nick at the park in 2017. Everyone on the comment was shocked including 5SOS stans i believe, even though they’re happy about them and shipping them, i still disliked them. So i wrote a comment like “just like Brashton, i still don’t ship them”. Suddenly, i get attacked by Bryana stan , i didn’t remember that what were saying something harassed me, but i didn’t want to read that because i get easily offended. Then, i decided to delete my comment so their stupid stans would not attack me one by one. I mean seriously deleting a negative comment makes me clearing my mind it’s just like throwing out of negativity.
Let’s move forward to K-pop fan, before I got into K-pop fan, My friend introduced me to Korean entertainment like drama and music. First of all, i wasn’t keen on to those stuff. I remember when i was at Secondary school, how my friend was so obsessed with K-pop boybands like Super junior, Shinee, 2PM, Big Bang, SS501 and many more. Then later, i watched K-pop music videos on YouTube and MTV. I watched over and over. Then, i realized I became a fan of K-pop mostly boybands but less girlbands like SNSD (Girls Generation), 2NE1, f(x), 4minute, etc. i liked their choreography, their dance move are so powerful and energic, their music is so upbeat, catchy, great produced, and so on. Their groups combined with singer, dancer and rapper which are brilliant.
However, I don’t involve with toxic K-pop fandom. the most infuriating thing for me is on Twitter which full of K-pop spam. when i scrolled it down, it is full of K-pop spam, include video of fan camera (fancam) and photo. on the other hand, i despised that when crazy K-pop stans in Korea who called “sassaeng” like stalking their idol for 24 hours, invading their privacy which is totally disrespectful, they wrote a letter with using their own blood then send it to their idol, and of course they intentionally send their own period blood which is freaking disgusting. I know many K-pop stans who don’t want their idol dates with girlfriends that would be get jeopardized. Not only because of the idol will lose their career, but also get attacked by fans like a horde of zombies. The most insufferable is when idol got weight gain, the fans started fat-shaming idol harshly which is totally crossing the lines.
If you want to watch this video, I will put a down on the link, https://youtu.be/ESPqsERuQLY
Apparently, she talked about how much she’s such a big fan of the bands, such as Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots and Panic! at the disco. However, she ranted about fandom how are they become toxic, infuriating and insufferable. In my thoughts, she’s got an opinion and I 100% agree with her. I suggest you have to watch this.
Toxic fandom could be insane, nasty, immature, childish, intolerable, annoying, irritating, pesky, delusional, and bullying. They don’t want to accept their reality, they just want to being stuck in comfort zone and being brainwashed by their favorite idols. They don’t want to hear any negativity stuff, if someone called bands/idols ugly, loser, untalented, boring, they started a war and trolled each other. They obviously attacked the artists who wanted collaborate with famous artists/bands that have over the top of the charts on Billboard for clout. Remember Charlie Puth get attacked by crazy stans, BTS Army when he wanted to collaborated BTS for clout? (Read this: https://variety.com/2020/music/news/charlie-puth-bts-fans-1234698628/)To be honest, I remember when American-Korean director slammed BTS on Twitter, I was angry, and frustrated because of him what he said and then I trolled him just for once. (Read: https://www.scmp.com/culture/music/article/2159604/music-video-and-film-directors-bts-plastic-surgery-slur-has-korean)
As a result, being a fandom is fun, but it turns out to be toxic when you part of them both ups and downs. If you worship or are huge fan with your favorite band or artist, you don’t have to be act exaggerated, just keep calm down and be proud the be a fan wherever during at the concert or meet at somewhere, even at the airport, or the backstage, etc. Also, on social media platform, you should say something nice with your band or artist. Not only with your favorite person, but also your fandom who deadly support with them, be kind and friendly, don’t bully each other. Further, when you’re facing with haters or you suddenly become hater, I know we had a deal with a demon, but you can’t accept it, just be patience, if you want to hate or angry, go on, but don’t that too much, it would be problematic. Maybe because haters dislike their music sucks or obnoxious behavior. Moreover, don’t attack with your favorite artist who has in relationship with his or her boyfriend of girlfriend both famous or not, then don’t attack his or her too, because we are human being, we have anxiety and depression just like famous artist or band. In addition, If you dislike a band or artist but you’re afraid you would get attacked by crazy stans, just don’t do it when you tweet something on Twitter. Actually, I love or hate artist or band who are really popular by fanbase in spite of overly obsessed or defensive after being brainwashed. Nonetheless, it’s okay we have an opinion whether you are fan or hater of famous band/artist, you have a voice, don’t be afraid if you have a different opinion about it, just be respectful.
That’s the end of my experience and opinion. Hopefully, you would appreciate it. Based on quote from Christopher Heyerdahl “Fandom can keep something alive, and Fandom can take it down”
