finally watching gastronauts and I get why we aren't as focused on the cooking but man I wish we were more focused on the cooking and guest chefs. like it's a cooking show I want to hear from the people cooking too
#songposts#like its a lot shorter time frame to make food than most shows and we get different people every episode#so i understand why they want to focus on the judges since as dropout subscribers we've seen them before#i just wish we got to hear and see more from the chefs#im only on epsiode two so who knows maybe it changes but its bugging me so much that it isnt really a cooking show that im tempted stop#gastronauts#dropout#dropout tv#im sure people like that its different from other cooking shows by focusing on the judges#and good for yall#but it bugs me#complaining

duke au angst, but kĂśnig isnât a knight. Heâs either not in it and reader just sinks into a pit of depression and withdrawals so much that rumours start speculation around the ton that reader is either dead or murder and it starts to take a toll on john reputation (they start going after why him, simon, johnny and kyle are so close) or a kĂśnig is an Austrian duke/way closer to royalty and when heâs over for business with John and/or simon, he and the reader hit it off (much to the boys dismay) and reader plans on leaving without a word, leaving nothing more than a vague letter that details why and a set of divorce papers (helped achieved by kĂśnig) and by the time they realise their mistake readers already living the high life in austria
âŚ.okay but the first oneâs got me downright obsessed, anon đŠ second one too and i feel like i will absolutely end up caving and writing it later but for now, have this!
Angst dukedom post
Non-angst dukedome post(no konig in this one)
No but seriously, there is only so much you can take. Between everyoneâs dismissal of you, the lack of any meaningful company, the loneliness- it was only a matter of time before you just⌠canât do it anymore.
The change, though it starts slow, is impossible to hide. You stop having dinner with John, finding no solace in the taste of lukewarm, half-heartedly prepared food. You tell yourself itâs not worth it- the stilted conversations, the empty looks, the way his eyes always drift to anything but you. Heâs too busy sharing hidden glances with Kyle, exchanging quiet touches with Johnny when he hand delivers the food, speaking to Simon with an intensity that has never been for you.
You stop attending the endless galas and balls you are meant expected to attend as the Duchess. You withdraw from the tea parties, from every suffocating event where you were paraded as nothing more than an ornament on Duke Priceâs arm. You withdraw from the public eye itself.
Instead, you drift through the duchy, through the rooms that are suddenly empty when you arrive. You drift to and fro, in a haze of lonelinthat and slow-setting exhaustion.
The maids whispered of you before, but it used to be out of your earshot; now, you can hear them clearly, none of them afraid of being punished when not even your own husband can stand your sight. They mutter about how sickly you look, how your eyes are dull and lifeless.
Sheâs wasting away.
Maybe itâs for the best.
No one can love someone who fades into the walls.
But of course, the whispers arenât just within the duchy. Rumors ripple out beyond the duchyâs walls-
The Duchess has gone mad, they say. Locked away by her husband, for her own good.
She ran away in the dead of night, they say. Couldnât bear her husbandâs coldness. Maybe he drove her to it.
Heâs always with Duke Riley, isnât he? Or the butler. Or the chef.
Poor thing. No wonder she vanished.
All of it gnaws and bites at Johnâs reputation, at yours, but he never comes to you and it doesnât surprise you at all. He would rather find a way to bury it all then simply check on you. The facade has always been more important, and he keeps it with half-hearted excuses half-believed by some and dismissed by others.
But they are relentless, and soon they taint every interaction he has. No one meets him without a hint of suspicion in their eyes. How much of it is true, they seem to ask. What did you do to her? Is she really gone? She was a good woman, how could you do that to her? There is more scrutiny now on the time he spends with Simon, with Kyle, with Johnny. He starts to avoid public events himself, unwilling to face the relentless gossip that hangs over him now like a dark cloud.
Eventually, you stop dressing for the day, leaving your hair unkempt, your gowns crumpled and out of style. No one comes to check on you, the maids happy at having less work, and you tell yourself that you prefer it that way. No eyes to judge. No lips to lie. The solitude is nothing new, even if itâs never been this severe before.
Time blurs, too. You stop looking at the newspapers when they stop being delivered. The days mean nothing when every morning brings only a new kind of numbness, and some days you spend entirely in bed, too tired to even think about taking a step outside.
Yet, even with your noticeable absence, nothing changes. No one knocks on your door, not even once. No one checks to see if youâre eating, breathing, surviving. You feel so achingly lonely.
John doesnât approach you once. You have become a specter, more distant than ever. And though he and the others feel a creeping sense of guilt- Kyle finds himself lingering outside your door, only to turn away with clenched fists; Johnnyâs jokes die in his throat when he hears your name; Simon stares at the spot you used to take during the dinners and lunches heâd join; John stares at the very few portraits of you that line the walls and wonders how heâd even go about approaching you- none of them move to truly mend the gaping distance between you. They regret their neglect, but they do not know how to fix it. Or maybe they are simply too late.

lilymhe: âalexithyma, also called emotional blindness, is a neuropsychological phenomenon characterized by significant challenges in recognizing, expressing, sourcing, and describing one's emotions.â
this is something that our dear y/n was diagnosed with years ago. yes, she doesnât express her love in words or pda, but she expresses her love in other forms. sheâll make 2 separate dishes for dinner just because alex and i want different things. she never forgets to get us coffee during her daily morning runs. she always attends races or tournaments to support us.
so yes, she doesnât necessarily show her love through words and pda, she shows it through her actions. we love her and she loves us. never judge a book by its cover, because alex and i truly feel her love everyday by her actions.

WARNINGS: none? i canât really think of anything, just pure fluff! soft!rafe :â) maybe the slightest mention of worrying about what others think/fear of being judged? lmk if i missed anything !!
SUMMARY: rafe and weird!reader are one of the strangest couples in the obx. nobody has any clue how the cunning and cruel rafe cameron is dating the epitome of sunshine. but rafe just gets her, and she just gets himđŤś
based on this ask !! i hope you enjoy đŽđ anon, and i hope it was what you asked for, and i added in that the reader makes jewellery and collects sonnyâs angels :) and sorry for the late post !! <3
WORD COUNT: 1.1k
THIRD PERSON +
The Outer Banks sun was blazing overhead as Y/N wandered down the streets of Kildare Island. The vibrant clinking of her many bracelets echoed softly in the quiet cul-de-sac as she adjusted her brightly colored tote bag over her shoulder. It was filled to the brim with craft suppliesâbeads of every color, rolls of thread, and the newest addition to her collection: two tiny Sonnyâs Angels figurines sheâd found at a small thrift shop on the mainland.
She was a walking burst of color. Her patchwork denim jeans were covered in hand-sewn floral patterns, her lime-green tank top layered over a long-sleeved baby tee, and her hair was adorned with barrette clips in the shape of stars and hearts. The contrast between her aesthetic and the neutral, coastal tones of the OBX locals was stark. She stuck out like a sore thumbâand she didnât care.
And Rafe Cameron loved her for it.
From his perch on the porch steps of Tannyhill, Rafeâs blue eyes tracked her approach, his lips quirking into a soft, almost amused smile. He watched as she practically skipped up the gravel driveway, clutching her tote bag like it held treasure.
âRafey!â she called out, her voice a melodic lilt that never failed to make his chest ache in the best way. âGuess what I found!â
He chuckled, standing up and brushing off his khaki shorts. âWhat, another one of those creepy little baby dolls?â
She gasped in mock outrage, clutching her heart. âTheyâre not creepy! Theyâre little angels, and theyâre adorable. Look!â She yanked the two figurines from her bag and held them up like prized possessions. One was dressed as a strawberry, the other as a little chef.
Rafe leaned down, squinting at the tiny figures in her hands. âYeah, adorable is one way to put it,â he teased, but his grin betrayed his words.
âDonât be mean,â she said, poking his chest lightly. Her rings sparkled in the sunlight as she did so. âYou just donât understand their charm.â
âI donât,â he admitted with a shrug, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her into his chest. âBut I understand you, and thatâs enough for me.â
Her cheeks flushed at his words, and she buried her face in his chest. âYouâre such a sap sometimes.â
âOnly for you.â
The two of them stood like that for a moment, swaying slightly in the breeze. The Cameron estate was quiet; Ward and Rose were off on one of their trips, and Sarah was, well, doing whatever Sarah did these days. It left Rafe and Y/N in a little bubble of their own, untouched by the worldâs judgments.
âYou wanna help me make something?â Y/N asked, pulling back slightly to look up at him.
âMake what?â
âA bracelet!â She stepped out of his arms, already rummaging through her bag. âI got these new beads, and I think theyâd look great with your eyes.â
Rafe raised an eyebrow. âYou wanna make me a bracelet?â
âWhy not?â she said, grinning. âItâs not like youâre gonna wear it in public or anything. UnlessâŚâ Her grin turned mischievous.
âDonât even think about it,â he warned, though his tone was light.
She giggled, plopping down on the porch steps and spreading her supplies out like an artist preparing her canvas. Rafe followed, sitting beside her and watching as her nimble fingers worked to thread beads onto a piece of elastic.
âWhy do you do this?â he asked after a while, his voice soft.
âDo what?â
âThis.â He gestured to her array of beads, figurines, and tiny tools. âAll of it. The bright clothes, the crafts⌠youâre not exactly like anyone else around here.â
She paused, looking up at him with a small smile. âBecause it makes me happy,â she said simply. âI like colours. I like making things. Itâs who I am.â
Rafe nodded, taking her answer in stride. Heâd always admired her confidence in being herself, even when people whispered about her behind her back or shot her strange looks in town. It was a level of self-assuredness he wasnât sure heâd ever reach.
âYou know,â she said after a moment, stringing a star-shaped bead onto the bracelet, âa lot of people think itâs weird that weâre together.â
âTheyâre idiots.â
She laughed, a light, airy sound that made his heart swell. âI know that. But still⌠youâre Rafe Cameron. People expect you to date, like, the cheerleader type. Not someone who spends their weekends thrifting for doll clothes.â
He reached out, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. His touch was gentle, his fingers brushing against the plastic barrette clipped in her hair. âLet them think what they want,â he said firmly. âYou make me happy. Thatâs all that matters.â
Her smile widened, and she leaned in to press a kiss to his cheek. âYouâre too good to me, Rafe Cameron.â
âDamn right I am,â he said with a smirk, though the teasing edge in his voice was softened by the way he gazed at her like she hung the stars in the sky.
She finished the bracelet a few minutes later, tying it off and holding it up for inspection. It was a mix of blue and white beads, with a single star charm in the center. âWhat do you think?â
âItâs perfect,â he said, letting her slide it onto his wrist. The contrast between the delicate bracelet and his rugged, calloused hands was almost laughable, but he wore it with pride.
âYou look so cute,â she cooed, taking his hand in hers to admire her handiwork.
âDonât push it,â he said, though the corner of his mouth twitched upward.
She leaned her head on his shoulder, her eyes drifting to the horizon where the sun was beginning to set. âYou know, I used to think no one would ever get me,â she admitted quietly. âLike, really get me.â
Rafe turned his head to look at her, his expression softening. âI get you,â he said simply.
She smiled, tilting her head up to kiss him softly. âYeah,â she whispered against his lips. âYou do.â
The world around them seemed to fade away as they sat together on the porch steps, wrapped in their own little universe. It didnât matter what the rest of the Outer Banks thought of them. They had each other, and that was more than enough.
For the first time in a long time, Rafe Cameron felt like he could be himself. And for Y/N, that was the greatest gift of all.

Maybe in another world the poison Sanjiâs mum took didnât work on Sanji, or at least not in the same way.Â
A child with black hair and dull eyes, and like his brothers heâs made to be a solider who follows orders.Â
The difference is that he follows his mumâs instead of Judgeâs.Â
Sheâs distraught that the poison wasnât enough, but she raises Sanji as best she can to be someone free, even if he canât really be.Â
He learns to cook because she asks him to (she wonders if sheâs fooling herself when she sees just a glimmer of excitement in his dull eyes).
He guards her like a dog as she grows sick, this six year old who canât even see over the counters. But heâs strong and can fight and all he knows is that what his mum says is what he does.Â
And when sheâs dying, she tells him to run. Says whatever happens, get away from Judge.
And when she dies, thatâs what he does. Because heâs an emotionless machine, but heâs following her orders. She told him to be free from Germa, and to seek friends. He doesnât understand the second part (âfriends are a weaknessâ Judge had said) so he ignores it, but he goes.
He finds the Orbit at age seven and he already has cooking skills (and heâs super poweredâ heâs good at what he does). Theyâre creeped out by him, most of the cooks just try to ignore him or slink around him, this terrifying little kid who can dice hundreds of onions in an hour.
He doesnât interact with them eitherâ his mum said to be free, and he assumes this is âfreeâ. He assumes these arenât âfriendsâ, at least theyâre not like in the books she read him. No one has fought for him or offered to share their things with him, so these must not be them.
And then, of course, the Orbit is hit by pirates, and then hits a storm. Sanji ends up stranded with Zeff on that cliff. Whyâd Zeff save him? Maybe it was the way he stood emotionless in front of him with those dead eyes. Said he had to get back to cooking like nothing mattered.
Maybe it was the way everyone else looked at him like they were scared of him, this little ten year old unaware of his effect.Â
Maybe it was the almost imperceptible way he flinched when another cook came near him, like he was waiting for the next attack.Â
It doesnât matter now.
What matters is that Sanjiâs on the island with Zeff and theyâre starving, but Zeff gives him food. Zeff loses his leg for Sanji. These things are adding up, Sanji thinks this might be what his mum wanted him to find.Â
Heâs not sure.Â
Uncertainty doesnât fit well with him.
But his mum said to find a friend and Zeff fits what he knows, so he devotes himself like a soldier. When they get off the island, Zeff canât get rid of him no matter what he tries (he doesnât try too hard).Â
They get a restaurant.Â
Sanji works like a machine in the kitchens.
Zeff puts him on food prep for years and Sanji does it without complaint. No one is as good as him at finely dicing, at weighing and measuring to the letter. He even does the dishes when theyâre behind, and only breaks one before he figures out not to grip with all his strength.
Zeff makes him a full fledged chef at fifteen.Â
He always feels a little⌠conflicted about making Sanji work. The boy doesnât have friends and doesnât seem to desire them. He doesnât have emotions. It feels wrong to make him work when he doesn't have the fight to object.
But Sanjiâs his responsibility for some reason, and heâs accepted that.Â
And once, just once, when Sanji is seventeen, Judge comes down in the middle of the night to find a full five course meal prepared. Itâs nothing the Baratie makes. It smells of unfamiliar lands.
He doesnât mention it to Sanji, and thereâs no trace of it the next day.Â
He wonders, though.Â
When Sanji is nineteen, Luffy arrives with a cannonball through the wall.Â
Zeffâs not too happy about that, but Sanjiâs on red alert. He goes after Luffy with a vengeance.
Because thatâs ZEFF, and if Sanji knows one thing itâs that he has to PROTECT ZEFF.Â
Luffyâs enamoured with him immediately. He wants Sanji. He wants this man who cooks and fights with his feet (Zeff taught him that, Sanji added it to the rulesâ no hands, be free, find friends).
Sanjiâs dull eyes barely blink as he tells Luffy no, that heâs here for Zeff.Â
But then Luffy says the magic words.Â
He introduces Sanji (who stopped fighting at Zeffâs directive) to his crew and says, âthis is my new friend Sanji! Heâs going to be our cook!â
Itâs confusing in a way few things are. Sanji lives in black and whiteâ but Luffy says theyâre *friends*. His mum told him to find friends. But he canât leave Zeff, who is also a friend.Â
Sanji stumbles a little.Â
And then the green haired swordsman mocks him for it. The smallest flame of anger lights in his belly, a single momentary spark.Â
But that doesnât matter because right now in this moment Sanji is processing having TWO friends.Â
That processing comes to a halt when Zeff yells at him to leave.Â
Itâs simple again.Â
He follows orders.
He joins the Straw Hats.Â
He cooks.Â
He fights.Â
Luffy talks all the time about being free, and Sanji doesnât get it but he figures Luffy will tell him when they manage to become âthe most freeâ, something he has no metric of.
Also, Zoro is there.Â
Zoro is a complication. Sanjiâs not sure if heâs friends with everyone or just with Luffy. He THINKS itâs everyone. He doesnât like living in greys.Â
And Zoro likes to fight.Â
He tries to rile Sanji up, every time. Makes comments about his food or eyebrows.
Sometimes it⌠well it doesnât *work* but it makes that little spark hit deep inside of him again, and for a split second the world is brighter. And then itâs gone.Â
Then Zoro pulls out his swords, which means theyâre sparring, and Sanji is good at sparring.
They add more crew members. They go from island to island. Sanji protects his friends because thatâs what heâs supposed to do, and he cooks, because heâs supposed to.Â
And then some time around Water 7 he starts to dream.Â
Heâs never dreamed before.
He dreams of his mum and her warm smile. He dreams of his sister and her complicated expressions that he could never understand.Â
He dreams of Zoro and the grin that stretches over his face and the way his earrings dance.Â
He doesnât get it. Thereâs no point to dreams.
What does it, what finally lights the spark inside of him, is Thriller Bark. Itâs ânothing happenedâ. Zoro pushes him out of the way, stops him from doing the one thing heâs MADE to do, and then Sanji wakes up and realises whatâs happened.Â
And a whirlwind alights inside of him.
The world has colors and depth it didnât before, as heâs flooded with ANGER, that Zoro would do that, WORRY, that Zoro wonât make it, PAIN and HEARTBREAK for his mum, and a new sort of loyalty, deep and unending, for his crew.Â
He watches Zoro sleep as he processes.
And when Zoro finally wakes, when that worry abates a little, he YELLS at him. SCREAMS that he was a SELFISH ASSHOLE and HOW DARE HE and heâs IMPORTANT.Â
And through it all, Zoro stares at him, wide eyed and probably high on pain meds.
And then, when Sanji finally exhausts himself, Zoro grins. That same grin from Sanjiâs dreams, and he says, âI knew youâd make it.âÂ
Which is DUMB and makes Sanji EVEN MORE MAD because what does that fucking MEAN and he YELLS SOME MORE and by that time all the Straw Hats have gathered in shock outside the infirmary door.Â
âWelcome to the crew, Curls,â Zoro says and Sanji wants to KICK HIM but heâs on deathâs door already and Sanji knows how strong he is.Â
So instead he collapses onto him and weeps, his emotions a confusing mess inside of him.
And eventually the door creaks open and Chopper slips in because he HAS to check Zoroâs vitals and then Luffy BOUNDS in and wraps his arms around Sanji and says âSANJI, MAKE ME MEATâ and Sanji SNAPS that heâs BUSY and Luffy LAUGHS and says âOkay but AFTER YOUâRE BUSY, MEAT.â
And later that night, after heâs made a MISTAKE in the kitchen because he got EMOTIONAL chopping vegetables, he sits in the infirmary again, forcing Zoro to drink broth. And he says, âI donât know what happened. Itâs like thereâs too much of me inside me now.â
And Zoro says yeah. âThatâs what living feels like,â he says.Â
âI donât like it,â says Sanji.Â
âYou ever disliked something before?âÂ
âNo.âÂ
âThen congratulations.âÂ
Then Zoro reaches out and grabs his hand. His grip is weak still, shaking.
He says, âthis is the point. You have to find things to live for, now.âÂ
And Sanji thinks. âIâm supposed to live for friends,â he says. âAnd freedom.âÂ
âThe youâre on the right ship,â Zoro says. âWhat else?âÂ
And Sanji remembers a book his mum used to read. A long time ago.
âHave you heard of the All Blue?â

Mystery Box challenge episode
There was a building reputation in the kitchen that you are one of the strong homecooks of the season. After winning the past 2 mystery challenges, you were extremely determined to do well and seek for a third streak. The mystery box today was all about italian cooking, a cuisine that you have been comfortable due to the close ties of your boyfriend being signed to an Italian team.
"And what do we have here with you today Miss Y/N" Matt Preston asked as he approached the work table together with George Colambris "You seem rather comfortable and in your own zone. Its like an ordinary Tuesday date night"
You gave a small chuckle with that mention "That's actually pretty on point of you to say as Tuesday is my date night with the boyfriend"
"Ah so maybe that's why you are so inspired because you are in love"George teased.
"Well I have to admit that there is a little pressure to do well in this challenge or my boyfriend's family will get mad at me"you quipped back a reply.
The judges suddenly leaned a little interested to learn more about your personal life, "So your boyfriend is italian?"
"He is not but he might as well be. He spends a lot of time there"
"It must be hard to not see him a lot since you are here competing" Matt says
"It's a price we are willing to pay. He has been supportive of my dream as I am with him" you gave an encouraging smile as you continue to chop the sweet potatoes.
"We hope to meet that boyfriend of yours because he is one lucky man because that dish looks delicious!" George says before they left the station.
Somewhere in Bahrain, Charles Leclerc is grinning upon watching the replay of the episode. He was beyond proud of what you have achieved as a contestant in MasterChef. He wished that he could do more to express his support towards you but you have an agreement with him to keep things lowkey for the meantime. It was a reasonable decision as he didn't want to overshadow your career but it was nice to know that you two are a private thing but never a secret.
He was so engrossed to repeating the boyfriend clip that he didn't notice that Carlos snuck up beside him.
"What are you watching there?" Carlos asked his teammate
"Oh its nothing" Charles says as he immediately exited the Youtube app "I didn't notice you there, you scared me"
"If you weren't too into your phone then you would have noticed me calling you" Carlos explained "What are you watching on your phone that got you smiling like that?"
"Nothing, I just saw an ad"
"Hmm sure an ad" Carlos was pretty sure that Charles was watching MasterChef but he couldn't care anymore to ask which country because there was too many so he decided to just let it go "Cmon Fred is asking for us, were late for a meeting"
"Carlos! Why didn't you start with that?"
Cake challenge
You were exhausted because you spent the early hours of the morning watching the Jeddah GP. It was a thrilling race to see Charles bag his first podium of the season so you can say that its worth it. Besides, you were able to talk to him after the race so it sweetens the deal even more.
Filming begun for MasterChef and the judges brought out balloons for the mystery box challenge.
"Your challenge today is to make the most imaginative and creative birthday cake that you ever had" Gary explained "The pantry is filled with all the cake flavors you can ever imagine so be creative and show us what you've got"
Baking has never been your strongest suit. It was all about precision and measurements as small increments can make a huge difference. Today, you were determined to do well and you wanted to use the podium finish of Charles for the cake.
It was a struggle to bake the cake, cool it, and pipe it in under 60 minutes. You felt the pressure getting under your nerves as your hands started shaking when you were piping the cake details with 10 minutes left. There was a sigh of relief when you finished just 5 seconds away from the judges calling the time.
There were plenty of beautiful cakes in the room so it was a shocker for you that the judges called you in front to present your cake.
"Judges what I have for you today is a three layer cake with the raspberry, almond, and pistachio with chocolate to seperate the layers and a lemon buttercream frosting."
"You told us you can't bake, that seems like a lie" George says as he cuts through the cake "Look at that layers"
"The layers are actually inspired by the italian flag, its an homage to the boyfriend. Its actually a cake that I made thinking about him" you explained.
"That is simply gorgeous. The cake is very moist and the balance with the flavors is that its not too sweet or nothing overpowering. Your boyfriend is a lucky lucky lucky man to be baked a cake like this" George complimented.
"Does your boyfriend cook?"Matt asked as he took a bite
"Oh God no. I have to cook or else the kitchen will be on fire"you laughed "But I can't drive so maybe that's his payback"
"You seem to show the beautiful dynamics of your relationship when you cook something inspired by him. I wish you two the best" Matt's genuine comment was a heartwarming moment.
Its unfortunate that you didn't win this challenge but you were able to showcase your support for your boyfriend.
Melbourne GP meets MasterChef
This was another challenge as you were elected as a team captain for the second team challenge. You were extremely nervous when you were transported with your team mates from the blue kitchen to an unknown location. It was even more nerve-wracking after you've realized where you are.
"Welcome to the Albert Park where the Australian Grand Prix is underway for this weekend" Matt introduced "Your challenge is to prepare two dishes: a pasta and a fish dish to be served to the talented drivers in Formula 2"
There was a little sigh of relief as you were dealing with the Formula 2 drivers. It was a lot of weight on the shoulder if you will be serving food to your boyfriend.
"The practice sessions will be starting in a few minutes. You have 90 minutes to prepare your dish and an hour to serve them"
All you know was that you started organizing the team to put them in charge of the dishes that you will be making today. You cross your fingers that the color red brings luck to your team today.
Meanwhile, the paddock was buzzing with cameras and Charles immediately noticed that there were some new film crews around the Formula 2 drivers. His eyes did a double take after he recognized the face of three familiar judges he often sees on MasterChef Australia.
"What's going on? Isn't that MasterChef Australia judges?" Charles quizzed
"That's MasterChef Australia, they have this team challenges and they will be feeding the Formula 2 drivers" Silvia answered as she was informed earlier that morning about the extra exposure in the paddock today.
"Why Formula 2? Why not us?" Charles whined
"If you want then you could go ask Ollie for food" Silvia suggested
That sets a lightbulb moment for Charles as he excused himself to talk to the young driver. He will not miss the opportunity to taste the cooking of his secret girlfriend and support her in doing her craft.
It puzzled Ollie Bearman to see that Charles has been looking for him once the practice session was over. He was even more confused by his request.
"So you want me to get you food?" Ollie asked "Doesn't Ferrari have a catering?"
"Its not just food, its the MasterChef Australia food" Charles explained without giving out too much information "I just love the show okay?"
"You can come along, I'm sure they don't mind" Even better.
So here is why you were genuinely surprised to see that Charles Leclerc is walking inside the MasterChef tent with a red and blue plate in his hand. He was grinning wildly as if he was a kid on a sugar rush.
"Ohmygod we are serving food to Charles Leclerc!" one of your teammates whispered.
"Hi goodafternoon! What's the dish for today?" he asked politely.
"Well we have a pan fried cod with a pea puree and then some green grapes some fennel over there and then for the pasta lemon ricotta and beet tortellini" you answered as the team captain "We hope that its up your liking"
Charles gave you that smile that seems to light up the whole room, "I look forward to it, thanks!"
Its moments like this that you wish that you could reach out for him but you understand that its not yet the time. Its nice to see the support that you have for each other even though its all in private and away from the eyes of the media.
"Goodluck on your race Charles!"
There was a smile on both of your faces as you both continued to go chase your dreams.

Since @chefskjssart's artwork that I commissioned was such a BANGER, I felt like I needed to do something to show my gratitude. So, I messaged her and gave her free choice over a little One-Shot I'd gift her. And that's how we ended up here :D Where are my little TV Sluts at? You can thank Chef - and I hope you all have fun ;>
NSFW - Explicit Sexual Content - Minors DNI - 5.7k words
"Gotta say, Val, the revenue of your movies really skyrocketed this quarter, fuck me."
Vox flipped through the quarterly reports, eyebrows raised and a grin on his face while Valentino, very pleased with himself, lounged on the chaise next to Vox's desk, smoking.
"I told you I've made a good investment." He grinned and blew out a puff of smoke. "All the horny bitches out there are eating my movies up."
"It's more than that, you're even making headway into other rings, holy shit! We've even got a foot in the Lust Ring market, which is almost impossible with that kind of competition..."
Valentino hummed approvingly.
"And the best part: I didn't have to do much." He added and let the tip of his cigarette rest against his lips, his grin widening. "My newest author is a kinky little genius."
Vox turned his attention to the papers again, his smile slowly turning into a frown as he scanned the declining sales in Voyeurscopes.
"What are you talking about? All of your authors write pretty much the same shit, what could be so special about-"
Valentino laughed and shook his head. "That one is - believe me, carino. Poor bitch has the mind of a succubus on crack but she can't get off."
Vox looked up, an eyebrow raised in skeptic questioning.
"Can't get off?"
"Can't feel anything. Can't cum for the life of her." He replied, leaning back and spreading his arms. "Numb like a fucking dead fish."
"Or maybe she just hasn't found a good dick." Vox mumbled, returning back to the reports, skimming over the numbers.
"Mh, you be the judge amorcito. Because I tried." Valentino growled, taking a drag from his cigarette.Â
Now that got Vox's full attention. The TV demon stared at his partner for a few seconds of silence, then laughed maniacally, almost falling off his chair while Val rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Fucking weird little thing, she is. She can write the craziest shit, the hornier the better. Writes like a damn porn beast, but has no clue what good sex actually feels like."
Vox heaved, wiping his screen as if in tears.
"Ohoho, Christ on a Cracker Val, maybe you've been out of the business too long⌠are you maybe losing that golden touch?"
Valentino sneered. "Ay, and you think you would've been able to get that bitch to cum? Be my guest, I'll gladly watch you fail."
Vox grinned at the moth, his eyes dangerously teasing. The reports were long forgotten - this was too entertaining, and Vox loved to be challenged, because he loved the feeling of superiority he felt when he succeeded. And that feeling would be so much more satisfying when he'd beat his long time partner and porn prince of pride at his own expertise.
"Wanna up the ante? Make a little wager out of it?"
Valentino scoffed, then chuckled deviously. He took another drag from his long cigarette, his cerise teeth glistening with red saliva as he began to drool in anticipation.
"You know I like to play, Voxxy. Especially if the odds are so much in my favor."
Another script done.
Your best one yet, if anyone asked you. But you knew no one asked ever, so why bother?
You stood up from your desk in your private office - being Val's favorite pen pet had it's perks afterall.
You skipped the stage of employment where you'd be cramped in one of these horrible cubicles together with the other overworked, caffeinated and tired writers, typing another outdated secretary-fuck-fest-plot while the other employees complained about their last bad lay and the shitty pay.
At least you didn't have to deal with any of that. Your room was quiet and peaceful, the door able to be locked shut and the walls soundproof. No distractions, no chit chat, no loud coworkers or malfunctioning printer noises. Just the humming sound of your computer, and the whirring of the A/C Val had granted you - a luxury that most of your colleagues bitched about behind your back.
You stretched, your tired bones popping into place and you sighed. You were done for the day. Finally.
With the deadline looming over you, you had been a bit late with the last part, and the thought of being late with your work made you sick. But Val pressed for another banger (pun intended) like your last one, 'Dante's Infern-Hoe' and you didn't want to risk the benefits you were offered so temptingly by being sloppy.
But the script for 'The Devil wears Nada' sat now, freshly printed, next to your laptop, the file saved locally and in the cloud, with about an hour to spare still. You smiled, content and relieved. An hour of paid slacking off was nice, and you checked with a glance that the electric door still was set on LOCKED before you flopped down at the two-seater by the window, grabbing the remote from the small side table and turned on the TV.
A familiar voice spoke through the speakers, and you relaxed into the pillows with a small sigh, eyes closed.
As shitty as the program in Hell was, one thing it had going for it was Vox. That smooth, hypnotizing voice of the overlord that held pride's media empire in his claws was a delight to your ears, and even the mindless, overplayed commercial jingles were pleasant enough if he was the one narrating them.
For the millionth time, it seemed, your hand wandered under the hem of your pants, fingers rubbing lazily at your cunt, as you listened to him talk, advertising the latest angelic protection device that didn't do what he promised it to do.
It was insanity at this point, doing something over and over again expecting a different outcome. Every night your fingers were cold and wet with your slick and your clit bloody and raw while you felt nothing of even your most violent and feverish touches, trying for minutes to hours to experience a sensation you wrote daily about without the satisfaction of any remarkable buildup or release.
It was no use, you knew it was a fruitless attempt, just like all the others. The most you got out of your endless tries was a slight tingle one time where you were so desperate you fucked yourself with an electric rod on its highest setting, resulting in a power outage in your apartment and a big fat fine from your landlord a few days later.
Still, you craved it. Craved to one day feel at least something. After the disappointing One-Night-cannot-Stand-the-thought-of-it with your boss, the literal porn mogul you were ready to just give up. If the face of prideâs sexdrive couldnât get you over the edge, was there any chance at all?
Valentino had been the last in a long line of desperate attempts, paartners ranging from incubi, paid whores, porn actors to even sexbots made by Asmodeus, costing you a pretty penny just for the hassle of trying to get through the return hotline to get your money back, explaining No, you donât know how it was possible that the cock of the âFuckboy 3.0 XXLâ broke into pieces after one time usage.Â
You chuckled humorlessly at the memory - It was truly a pathetic time in your eternal existence, filled with you masturbating alone in bed like a sad porn star, yearning to experience sex like you wrote about in your scripts. Maybe this was hells way to punish you for your sins, your personal plan of torture - To never experience the very thing that possessed you on the daily.
The television droned on in the background, Vox advertising his latest technological developments; new features on your phone that you really could not care less about. Despite his unusual appearance, Vox was one of your absolute go-to Stand-in's for your plot protagonists. Charming, suave, depraved when called for and a dominating, thorough lover that took what he wanted, but with so much skill that his partner would cum threefold before he'd even begin to think about finishing. Cocky and yet sensual. Aftercare included. All the things your colleagues were too dumb to include, no wonder their scripts were a bust.
Yes, it was hell and therefore tastes were more... depraved than in the living world, but that didn't mean the populus secret wishes for some sort of common sexual decency was out the window, goddamn.
Your mind wandered away from your depressive ruminations, your hand never stopping its circular pattern around your swollen clit as your thoughts started to wander to its usual place, the only way that came close to what you longed for and what was the source for all of your best-selling porn scripts. Your boundless realm of fantasy.
'Come out, come out, wherever you are...'
Vox is standing in your doorway, his silhouette prominent against the bright white neon light coming from the corridor of the empty floor. His suit, neatly fitted to every curve of his slender body, is showing just how thin his waist really is, but that does not come even remotely close to describe his broad shoulders and firm, wide chest, contrasting it deliciously. His navy blue skin reflects the harsh lighting in the hallway, his screen sharp and clear, digital eyes never leaving you as he closes the door behind him, dipping the room you're in in darkness, the only source of light his brightly illuminated screen where his digital, mismatched eyes are solely fixated on you, hiding behind the long backrest of your couch.
'Found you, babydoll.' he says with that god forsaken sultry voice of his as he reaches for your throat, long fingers wrapping themselves around your neck as your breath hitches and he pulls you up from your crouched position, his long tongue running over your collarbones, the wet trails feeling as cold on your skin as his appendage feels hot. 'Now remember what I said? Ready or not...'
He presses you into a wall, his big, hard erection rubbing teasingly through the layers of fabric on your already wet core as you whimper with want. '... here I cum.'
You moan his name, the imagined feeling so painfully surreal, and you wished once more that your working fingers would elicit some sort of real, bodily response.
A cough makes you freeze in your movements. Your fantasy shatters like a mirror shot with a bullet and your eyes fly open, expecting to see maybe a dumb segment of a rerun of 'Vox2Nite'. Instead, you see the actual, real TV demon overlord, standing live and in color just a few strides away with an expression that was a mixture of confusion, curiosity and slight annoyance.
"I'd ask if I am interrupting, but it seems you already had me on your mind, huh, doll?"
Realizing that you weren't - in fact - hallucinating, you immediately whipped your hand out from under your panties, sitting up, flustered like a child caught with their hands in the cookie jar. How did he get in? Did you forget to lock the door? No. Did he unlock it?! You must have missed his opening and closing of the door over the voice in your fantasy. The same voice that is now echoing in reality. Oh what a shameful ending for a perfectly good fantasy orgasm.
"Um... shit, sorry, Mr. Vox, sir. I was just, you know..." you scrambled, getting nervous under the actual gaze of him as he folded his arms, waiting for you to end that sentence with a pitiful smirk. Jesus Christ, those arms are slender and muscularâŚ
"Thinking! Just thinking, making script... scenarios..."
"Uh-Huh. And how is that coming along?" He asked, seemingly unfazed by the display before him as he took a few steps towards you.
"Oh, uh, haha, I didn't really... finish..."
He stopped directly in front of you, shutting you up with a low chuckle and his hand around your wrist, the one attached to the hand that had been in between your folds just literal seconds ago, lifting them up to look at the still shimmering wet residue on your fingers with a sneer.
"Mhm. Yeah, I've heard you have some problems with that."
Now that was embarrassing as it was alarming, and you ripped your hand out of his grip. Or better, you tried to do so anyway. It was a pointless exercise, his hand had an iron-tight grasp around your wrist as he pulled you up with one swift motion, so fast you stumbled into him, face to chest, breath caught in your throat as you were made suddenly aware how huge he really was compared to you.
"W-wow, my kinda pathetic reputation precedes me it seems. That's..." just great is what you wanted to say, but all words failed you when he lifted the hand in his grasp to his face, his thick, long tongue slithering out of his mouth just to wrap itself around your digits, lapping up the sticky residue of your arousal, watching you as your pupils widen and you squirm in his grip, mortified and turned on at the same time.
"Eh. Not as pathetic as my business partner's failure to provide something he's built his reputation on, sweetheart. Unusually smart of him to get you under contract before you shout it from the rooftops." He hummed as he tasted you, sucking in the pads of your finger hungrily and without hesitation, and all you could think of, frozen stiff like a deer in headlights, was: What the fuck is happening?
"But Val never had the kind of mindset I have... I don't do failure... or better said: I always finish what I start." His low rasp vibrated in the air around him, echoing in your head, and the heat his voice had brought to your skin left your mind racing. You asked yourself panicking if you had written too many dumb porn plots or if he was really implicating what you thought he was implicating.
"So, whaddaya say, doll..." His breath tickled your cheek as he leaned in closer, pulling you flush against him, a soft grunt of content as his hard dick pressed into your soft belly, his mouth right next to your ear, one of his hands running teasingly down your sides as he licked your ear shell. "...care to see if I can end your unlucky streak?"
'Fuck, yeah.' You thought, and almost moaned out loud as you let your head fall back to make room for his waiting mouth, when suddenly you stopped in your tracks. His hands were already groping over you greedily, squeezing your ass, your thighs, your breasts as he looked down on you, surprised to see your conflicted face.
"W...Wait. What's in it... for you?"
"Mh, you're clever. That's a new one." Vox laughed, his hand running up to the side of your face to cup your cheek, his thumb rubbing small circles on the corner of your lip. "Me and Val made a little bet, you see, and well... Let's just say: I want this to work out just as much as you do, since my success depends on yours."
"Oh.." So Val was talking about you, that bastard. He had you sign an NDA when he hired you, given that you had been unwilling to make a soul contract with him, but you guessed that that had been naively one-sided. Asshole.
Vox stroked your bottom lip, parting them before you opened them slightly on your own accord, his dark blue tongue languidly tracing the edges, waiting for your decision, coaxing you to decide in his favor. And even though you were kind of pissed at Valentino for running around telling people about your... situation - you couldn't deny it was tempting, turning fantasy into reality. And what was another overlord trying to do the impossible? Worst case - he'd try and fail, just as all the others did before, like the stupid moth pimp. At least you'd have some leverage for maybe another good deal for your silence on it. And in the highly unlikely best caseâŚ
With your decision made, you flicked your own tongue against his, humming at the unfamiliar taste and the sizzling static electricity on your tongue. Vox grinned, his sharp teeth pressing onto your lips, nipping at the sensitive flesh and growling with approval when your lips parted.
"Ohoho, baby, this is gonna be fun."
Vox ran his claws through your hair, loosening your already messy bun until your hair fell free with his playful pulls as he explored your mouth, deepening the kiss with every lick, until he could push his whole tongue into your mouth, moaning and grabbing the back of your head tightly as you let him fill you without the slightest hint of protest, fighting a desperate losing battle for air.
"Fuck, don't you need to... breathe?" you whispered after he finally pulled back, a wet trail connecting his tongue to yours, grinning down on you while your lungs burned for oxygen.
"Perks of being state of the art, sweetheart." he watched your swollen, drool covered lips - parted to catch your breath - for a few seconds longer before he inquisitively tilted his head. "Did you feel any of that?"
You contemplated lying, but figured honesty would probably be the best in this situation, shaking your head and giving him your most pitiful attempt at an apologetic smile, already bracing yourself for him to give up or get mad. "My lips tingle a little."
"Mh." He huffed as he pushed you back into the two-seater, your back hitting the cushions with a soft thump, and unceremoniously pulled on your very not-sexy-at-all sweatpants and slightly-more-sexy-but-not-quite panties until they slipped over your legs.
"How about this then?" He pressed his knee in between your legs to nudge them apart. "Can you feel any of this?" He spread your already wet slit open to run a cold claw over your hole, softly dipping first one, then two and lastly three of his fingers inside to stretch you further open and push it back in, repeating the movement slowly while keeping his eye contact trained on your face.
You hummed non-commitally, closing your eyes and pressing yourself into the cushions, trying to feel for any sensation that should come with every slow drag of his digits pumping inside of you, and not finding any of it was so fucking frustrating. You felt like you were not only disappointing yourself, but him, as stupid as that sounded. But with every added finger and still a lack of response, you saw the progression of frustrations in his face that you knew all too well - eyebrows furrowed, irritated twitches of the corners of his lips that turned into a snarl with the third added digit. You frowned, sighing and bit your lip - nothing. Nothing, nothing, nothing, and fucking nothing again, just another wet hole, the clenching of your walls a habit and reflex only, no pleasure whatsoever.
"It's no fucking use..." you whined, pressing your hands to your face in frustration and fear of looking back into his eyes, "I can't feel anything at a-aaAAH...!"
Your back arched at this strange jolt running down your spine, forcing you to grind down on his hand as a strong electric current buzzed from his claw tips right through your cunt, curling in your stomach in a hot wave of wanton need and knocking the wind out of you. Your eyes flew open just in time to see the flash of victorious satisfaction on his screen before his face turned fuzzy as you began to tear up.
"There's some reaction. There we go, sweetheart." He cooed and curled his fingers in that deliciously sinful way again, making your breath catch in your throat. For the first time since you can remember, you FELT. You dropped your hands from your flushed, hot face onto the plush of the couch, fingers desperately digging into the fabric, and stared at Vox with wide eyes. He winked, nudging his head to his buried fingers, and with a shattering gasp you could see neon blue bolts of electric sparks traveling down his slender arm, crackling around the soft flesh inside of your pussy that had never felt so sensitive.
"How are y-aaaa.... aaa-AAah...." he silenced any questions you might have had or possible retort with another shock wave traveling through his hand as he dragged his fingers in and out in an agonizingly slow pace, it had your ears ringing with white noise and your eyes water with unknown, strange pleasure.
You were shaking, and though it should have frightened you a lot more than it did to be electrocuted while doing something that could be considered borderline treason to Valentino (And it still had your cunt dripping on a whim), but there was nothing left for you to think of other than the sharp shocks making every nerve inside of you buzz, your thighs already trembling in anticipation of the possibility of an unknown, but oh-so-wanted climax. Yet it was somehow still out of your reach, out of your range of senses.
"I feel like we are getting closer, babydoll." The TV demon chuckled darkly, his voice over amplified, the electrical buzz reverberating loudly in the soundless room. "How 'bout we kick it up a notch, huh?"
He pulled out his fingers in a quick, cruel movement, making your pussy clench around nothing as you already mourned the feeling. Before you had the time to voice your loss however, he had your thighs already in his hands, pushing them back to almost fold you in half and spread them apart as wide as he could get them without hurting you. With a smirk he stuck out his tongue, inhumanely long, thick on its base and pointed at the end - and let his electric energy visibly spark around it. Holy Shit.
The moment his head dipped down and his appendage swiped through your puffed, red folds, you could feel your insides buzz in sync to his delighted moan. He began eating you out feverously and obscenely, not holding anything back, just like you wrote your most popular protagonists to do - NO, this was so much better than anything you've ever written or fantasized about, his tongue twisting in patterns that felt like nothing you've ever even came close to imagine before. It was like he powered your whole nervous system, overriding every strand of nerve with his own electricity, amplifying any touch, any lick and any suction that would normally not even register a thousand-fold.
"O-Oh my g... F-fffuuuuhhh-ck.. meeee..." you moaned in confusion and amazement, your legs shaking helplessly on either side of Vox's rectangle head as he fucked his tongue into you, switching between the deep, long, thorough thrusts and fast, small, teasing flicks into the wet heat of your cunt, coating his screen in a shining mix of your natural juices and his blue neon saliva. He sucked at the protruding of your swollen bundle of nerves, your sensitive clit twitching under his attention - it was maddeningly unreal. You felt like a complete, utter sham - if this was sex, you've never written it anywhere correctly.
"I'm working on that, sweetheart."
Vox smirked against your pulsing core, humming with satisfaction at your wet, gaping slit begging for him to push back in and fill you up again, making you ache for his tongue deeper and deeper, forcing every shred of sense you had to leave your mind as you bucked into his grip in desperation, chasing another intense jolt he held just out of your reach as he laughed deviously at your hungry reaction to his teasing antics.
You didn't care how pathetic you looked, how undignified or desperate you sounded. This was nothing short of fucking fantastic, this all new, unknown sensation that you deemed impossible to ever experience and an real, tangible orgasm so close you could almost grab it. You felt a violent greed, you needed more of this, more more more, you needed to cum and you knew exactly that only Vox was able to do it - but you needed him inside of you, pushing you into oversensitivity, no matter what was required to get you over the edge. Fuck all dignity, that ship had sailed the moment your back hit the couch.
You shook your head vigorously, choking down sobs of grateful pleasure that racked your body with every curl of his tongue inside of you and a guttural moan, high pitched and broken.
"P-Please... ah, Pl..please..." you panted and Vox felt for your thighs to hold you steady. His claws sank in with such force into the soft meat of your legs he drew blood. "F... Fu..Fuck me.. please." you stammered and he smirked, a look of pure joy in his digital eyes as he stared you down.
"Oh, I will, baby." He smiled against your core, curling the tip of his tongue around your clit with just the right amount of pressure that your entire vision went blank with a broken cry and the strongest wave of static he'd managed to work you up to so far. "Don't worry about that, I'm not nearly done with you."
He fucked his long, slippery tongue back into your quivering pussy, his thumb taking the place on the sensitive bundle of nerves where his pointy tip had been and you cried out again as he found that one spot you've always read (and written) about. You had questioned it's actual existence, believing it to be one of those wishful myths girls dreamt and you by proxy wrote about - Until Vox and his fucking talented mouth and miraculous tongue brushed right up against it with expert accuracy. It made your eyes roll to the back of your skull, mouth open to cry out as your back arched like a bow string.
"Yeah, there? F-Fuuuck..." The overlord growled, watching your blissful face twist with a new kind of overwhelming pleasure. "You gonna cum for me baby? Come on, let go, good girl..."
You knew the reader-pleasing phrase by heart. You used it a hundred times and fantasized about it even more - It shouldn't have that effect on you, but yet it was that comment of his, spoken in a raspy low rumble directly into your cunt that finally pushed you over the edge, leaving you panting helplessly and cumming.
Hard. Harder than you've ever dreamed about. Every nerve ending on overdrive, every hair standing on edge - it felt like getting struck by lightning, the static electricity sizzling through your blood vessels like a thunderstorm as he was still thrusting that goddamn magic tongue into your spasming hole through the clamping of your muscles, taking you through it with small, measured licks to keep you on the edge a little longer, whines and hiccups mixed with breathless laughs leaving your raw throat as you slowly returned to reality.
This was it, what you've always longed for, you realized after your vision came back to you, staring down at the smug looking TV demon who was still settled between your legs, his glowing screen painted with the remains of your climax. You managed to give him an exhausted smile, blowing a stray strand of wild hair from your face with a quick puff before dropping your head back in the pillow, absolutely spent. Vox pressed a toothy kiss on your thigh and pushed himself back to his feet.
"You've got quite the gushy orgasm, doll, damn..." he wiped a thick blotch of your arousal from the corner of his screen, the neon blue stained fingertip disappearing in his mouth as he hummed appreciatively and licked it away. Then he looked over you, slumped lazily on the sofa, your face flushed, your hair all tangled and the exposed pieces of skin covered with a shiny layer of sweat.
"Shit, sweetheart, you look goddamn good when you're all messed up like that..." He eyed you intently and leaned down, his heavy frame caging you in underneath him, one hand trailing a line from your still heaving chest, between your breasts and up to your throat.
"T-That was.. wow. Just... wow." Clearly illiterate and 50 IQ-points dumber post-orgasm, you cleared your throat, trying to compose yourself. While you were a little disappointed that you still hadn't really fucked, he did what he promised to do. Got you off - and how. You were grateful.
Sad that it was over, maybe even sadder that the chances of a repetition were likely zero - Vox was a goddamn overlord, and who were you other than a nobody with a hard-to-please cunt?- but grateful nonetheless. And you felt the need to let him know that.
"I don't know how to than... w-what are you doing?"
You sat yourself up on the elbows with a dumbfounded expression as Vox began to undress himself, his jacket, bow tie and undershirt discarded within seconds onto the ground and he practically pounced you as he began to undo the belt of his slacks, trapping you in between his legs and under the very prominent hard-on he sported.
"What, you really thought that was it? Make you cum once, win my bet and ding-dong-ditch like a fucking amateur?" Vox laughed as he pulled his massive length out of his pants - Words were your bread and butter but they would ever fail you to describe the gloriousness that was his cock.
Almost as thick as your underarm, smooth and almost shiny, glowing with built-in LED lights along the underside of his shaft and practically weeping with precum. He knelt down on the sofa, taking your hand to run it over its full length, smearing the sticky residue along your fingers, his almost bioluminescent cum dripping thick and slowly from the angry swollen tip. "Fuck no, sweetheart. In case you forgot, let me remind you..."
He leaned down to your ear, a violent electric bold jolting from his cock through your hand right into your overwhelmed, disbelieving brain as he guided you to line him up with your still throbbing entrance.
"I always finish what I start."
Vox had never been in a better mood.
His phone - finally surviving for more than just a few days, since his win against Valentino prevented the moth pimp from smashing it, even in one of his many temper tantrums - buzzed again. A notification of another upload into the cloud. He smirked when he saw the name of the user.
The whole conversation after he fucked Val's writing savant into Limbo and back had been a fucking blast for Vox - he reveled in the morbid joy of cashing in his stake while teasing Val that he'd have to wait another eternity for the chance to make Vox star in a double length porn with him - a fantasy of the moth Vox has been always against. Not to mention that Vox had accomplished what Valentino with all his 'mighty dicks and porn mastery'-aura couldn't. Which (rightfully) sent him into his biggest hissy fit yet, so enraged that, in lieu of Vox's phone to throw against the wall, he threw his newest Robo-Assistant Kitty out the window.
Although Vox had been certain he wouldn't lose the little bet against his partner, he still felt a little relief that his ass wasn't on the next new load of crappy porn DVDs. Granted, that would've surely caused sales to skyrocket - but with his revived and improved little star author that was more than just unnecessary.
Val's fears that a good dicking with a Happy End would sort of break the little writers 'Sex-Spell' and her scripts turn into shite like the rest of Val's useless crew produced proved to be the exact opposite. Ever since Vox made her cum - on his fingers, mouth and cock for multiple times that fateful night - her scripts improved even more, resulting in stellar sales reports, a major spike in cashflow and a personal inquiry letter for a meeting from Asmodeus himself (which Vox contemplated to frame and hang over his fucking bed like a medal of honor).
And since Valentino, in his hurt pride and childish, stubborn pettiness refused to speak or fuck with him, Vox had no qualms of paying his little writer a few more visits. Every time he found impish joy in finding new ways to make her cum, and after one shag-date where he actually stayed long enough for an after-sex-cigarette and some smalltalk, he discovered that she wasn't just a kinky, but also an interesting bitch with great taste in whiskey and a crude sense of humor that was just up his alley.
"I'm curious doll." Vox said as he took another drag from the cigarette before he handed her the bud, throwing his arm around her shoulders and pulling her onto his bare chest as he lounged on the new, bigger sofa he got for her office (more space and much more versatility) "What the fuck did you do to end up in hell? You don't seem like the ax-murder type."
She chuckled mischievously. "I was a pretty popular crime author back upstairs. I hit a pretty bad writer's block, and decided to get in some field work to inspire me for more creative ways of murder. No axes, but I did have a fable for knives." She grinned, inhaling the thick smoke as he laughed and the way her tits pressed into his skin had him almost hard again. "You know what's the most ironic part?" She asked, putting the bud out in the ashtray on her side table and glanced back over her naked shoulder to him, a devious glint in her eyes. "I got the electric chair for that." That woke his cock fully up again, and he couldn't help but take her for another round.
His assistant babbled something about his schedule, but Vox didn't listen. Instead, he planned on visiting her office again, maybe he'd even stay after and order sushi for two, who knew? The media Overlord smiled smugly as he opened the database and looked over the newest script you had uploaded to the cloud. It was when he read the title that he burst into ringing laughter.

Summary: Living under the same roof as Astarion was proving to me more of a challenge than you had anticipated.
Pairing: Astarion x female!Tav
Warnings: Nightmare. Hurt/Comfort. Innuendo. Heavy use of sarcasm hahaha.
Word count: 4.4k
Previous chapter. Ao3. Series Masterlist
If anyone had suggested a few days ago that you'd find yourself living under the same roof as Astarion, you would have called them delusional and point them to the nearest infirmary for a mental check.
But the wheels of fate turned in mysterious ways, and a mere glance at the man sitting across from you was proof enough of that.
The flames swirling and crisping in the nearby fireplace cast the most delicate yellow and orange tint on his pale complexion as he flipped the pages of a book you had lent him.
You had tried to focus on your own reading, but you just couldn't help but to occasionally shift your gaze to him.
Gods⌠it was nigh criminal how handsome this man was.
It was as if he had been hand-carved by someone intended on wreaking havoc in the name of beauty.
And, as far as you were concerned, they had thoroughly succeeded.
Suddenly, he lifted his head and he met your gaze dead-on, unblinkingly.
So handsomeâŚ
A cold shiver ran up the back of your neck, but you found herself unable to look away. It was as if, in that moment, you had managed to block out everything around you but him. The longer you stared at him, the more acutely you felt detached from reality.
âMay I kiss you?â
You blinked a few times. âWhat?â
His eyes narrowed, one eyebrow raised in sheer perplexity.
âNo need to look so offended, darling,â he said with a scoff, rising from his seat and snatching the candle holder from the table to your right. âI was merely asking for this. I apologise if the request is out of the realm of your âone hundred good deeds I must perform before I perishâ list.â
You blinked again.
What?
You glanced around, but judging from the lack of reaction from both Gale and Shadowheart, you figured that maybe he hadn't actually asked to kiss you.
Great. Now I'm hallucinatingâŚ
He returned to his padded chair with a dramatic sigh. âHonestly, I've seen more light in the deepest corners of the Shadowlands.â
Maybe sleep deprivation was finally taking its toll on you, rendering you delirious.
Regardless, the illusion had been enough to flare your heart, and you hurriedly focused your attention on the book in your hands.
âI had quite forgotten how peacefully silent it can be without having you around, Astarion.â Shadowheart spoke as she tended to a few rolls of parchment and letters.
âWell, you can thank Wyll for that.â
She ignored him. âAll you do is complain.â
You felt a storm brewing on the horizon as you lifted your eyes to glance at him.
Astarion let out a cynical laugh. âYou're one to speak.â
Shadowheart was now scowling. Deeply.
âBesides, that is a rather disingenuous accusation. Want proof?â he asked, clearing his throat. âSo, Gale - what are you reading that has you scribbling about like a mad man?â
The wizard snapped out of his nose-deep dive and brought his quill to a halt with a beaming smile. âGlad you ask, my friend. âA Visual Guide to Baldur's Gate's Exquisite Cuisineâ. First edition. Hand-signed by the finest chefs in the city. What a marvel, indeed.â
As expected, Astarion looked as unimpressed as ever, but you interjected before he could mouth anything obtuse.
âThat sounds rather exciting, Gale.â
He nodded eagerly. âA small guilty pleasure of mine, I must say. I'm taking down some notes, so that I can - hopefully - prepare some delectable dishes for us.â
Shadowheart's eyes remained fixed on Astarion as if awaiting for him to burst at any moment.
He exchanged a quick glance with you before muttering, âUnbelievable.â
âI think it's to be commended that he cares enough to try,â you said sweetly, earning a scornful glare from him. âI can't wait for you to showcase your abilities, Gale.â
âMy sentiments exactly, dear friend.â
Astarion chuckled darkly. ââAbilitiesâ as in setting the kitchen ablaze, orâŚâ
You shot him a death glare.
He shrugged. âYou two are a match made in the hells.â
This had you snap your book closed with a loud thud, eyeing him defiantly. âSo what constitutes an engaging reading to you, Astarion? Murderous ploys?â
His lips curled into a devious smile. âSomething along those lines. Although I do enjoy indulging in some debauchery from time to time.â
You weren't sure Gale would set the kitchen ablaze with his cooking skills, but Astarion's blunt and crass words sure did that to your cheeks.
Shadowheart scoffed.
âThere are some interesting books in my collection,â he continued, clearly enjoying your loss of composure. âI will gladly lend you some⌠or maybe offer a guided tour through my favourite pieces?â
You needed to change the subject.
Fast.
You were most definitely fighting a losing battle.
This was Astarion's playground, and he would always come out victorious.
âMust you always resort to such vulgarity?â Shadowheart sneered, shaking her head in disapproval.
âI'm afraid the city is fresh out of those who know how to properly enjoy themselves, and we can't all be dullards, darling.â
You cleared your throat. âSo, Gale⌠you're leaving for Waterdeep soon enough.â
He leaned back in his chair. âYes. If all goes well, we shall have access to the Wish spell soon enough, my vampling friend.â
Astarion crossed his arms. âFinally some progress.â
âMaybe you should be more thankful.â You said with a frown.
âAs should you,â he shot back. âNo more need to offer your blood to me.â
Fair enough.
âMuch to your disappointment, I imagine.â Shadowheart chimed in.
But before he could retort, you heard a rising commotion outside that only came to a halt as the front door burst open.
Lae'zel came through, carrying what appeared to be a very much deceased wild boar across her shoulders as if it was nothing more than a sack of feathers.
She kicked the door shut at once, nostrils flaring. âTsk'va! What are those two doing outside?â
âHouse arrest.â Astarion informed.
Bringing the carcass to the kitchen table, Lae'zel locked eyes with you, visibly annoyed.
âI had plans to rescue you from that prison. And I would have had it my way had it not been for Gale and his⌠morals.â
Gale bolted from his seat, suddenly looking rather distressed. âLae'zel, we've spoken about this before and agreed not to bring bleeding carcasses into our home.â
She glared at him. âYou alone agreed to it - I had no part in it.â
He gave her an exasperated look, picking up a piece of cloth to wipe away the strands of blood that had begun to run along the wooden surface.
âIf this falls on the carpet, it will be a nightmare to remove the stains.â
Astarion tutted. âDarling, that carpet is so hideous that being splattered with carrion blood would be a vast improvement.â
You rose to your feet, rushing to join Lae's zel, who quickly placed her hand on your shoulder, giving it a firm squeeze.
Your lips tugged into a genuine smile.
To her, this was the equivalent of âI am glad you're safe and I care for youâ and it warmed your heart beyond measure.
Naturally, Astarion quickly joined your side, earning Lae'zel's disdainful gaze.
âWhat are you doing here?â
âOh, it was a two-for-one type of deal, wasn't it?â Astarion mocked, turning to you. âFree one criminal and get two on house arrest.â
Unfortunately for Astarion, Lae'zel had little patience to entertain his sarcastic remarks and merely scoffed.
âI would have easily rescued from that prison, you know?â She gave your shoulder another squeeze and you nodded. âThose frail guards are no match for a githyanki.â
âOn that much we can agree.â He mused.
She gave him a stern look. âI would have left you there.â
âWe fought a giant brain, a scheming squid, and a whole parade of lunatics side by side, in case you've forgotten, my dear nest of vipers friend,â he said, narrowing his eyes. âMaybe you ought to show more gratitude.â
You expected her to snap at him, but she merely pressed her lips and gave him a nod.
That would be as far as she'd go, though.
âWell, as much as I enjoy this âfamilyâ reunion, I'm off to my room,â Shadowheart said from a distance, already heading towards the staircase. âPlease do not maim each other in my absence - there's only so much healing I can provide.â
You chuckled and she smiled warmly at you.
âSay, Lae'zelâŚâ Astarion started, circling the boar with utmost interest. âI would hate for perfectly adequate blood to go to waste.â
The implication in his words wasn't subtle at all, and she groaned. âI thought you feeding on our friend was enough.â
Your stomach lurched violently.
He scoffed. âThere is no such thing as âenoughâ blood for a vampire. Besides, she's the main course⌠this would be more of an aperitif, if you will.â
Now, you felt positively sick to your core.
A wave of nausea and repulsion gripped you tight.
âIt would be a mutually beneficial situation - I save Gale from a mental breakdown, sparing you tue ordeal, and I also get to quench my hunger.â
Gale grumbled something in agreement.
But you felt the sudden wish to be swallowed whole by some magical hole in the ground.
The way he referred to you as nothing more than food prompted a visceral reaction from you, and you feared you might empty the contents of your stomach from it alone.
âUm⌠I'll go get some sleep⌠I'm too tired,â you said dismissively, already pacing towards the corridor that led to your room. âHave a good night.â
Astarion called after you, but you didn't bother looking back.
But before you could turn the doorknob, you heard light steps approaching and firm fingers gripping your forearm.
Astarion.
His face was void of any amusement. âYou're upset.â
You pulled free from his grasp. âA neat observation. No wonder you're such a skilled rogue.â
His brows furrowed lightly. âWhat's the matter?â
âIt seems that I'm only worthy of your attention when it comes to you treating me as nothing but a meal, to hurl your sarcastic remarks at. Oh - and unless I'm on the verge of death,â you said, counting on each finger.
He seemed quite taken aback, his features twisting into a scowl. âYou really adore selling yourself short, don't you?â
âYou won't even deny it.â
âThen what sort of attention do you want from me?â He asked, taking a step closer, the sudden proximity catching you off-guard. âDo enlighten me.â
You glared at him in silence for a moment, vaguely wondering how the two of you had gotten to this point in your relationship, where everything seemed so⌠off.
Astarion was standing in front of you, but it wasn't truly him.
He was there, but not really.
He seemed so detached from the Astarion you had fallen for, and a part of you loathed that you had allowed yourself to get so attached to him in the first place.
Eventually, you heaved a deep sigh as he awaited your reply. âThe sort of attention I don't have to beg for.â
His face softened briefly and he parted his lips only to press them close together again as if he had decided against speaking.
Right.
You swallowed hard. âHave a good night.â
The hopeful part of you half-expected him to stop you from walking away as you closed the door behind you, but he did no such thing.
You pressed your back against it, taking a deep breath, feeling as if you had just lost something.
Had you been too dramatic?
Did it even matter at this point?
Maybe it was better off this way.
You moved to scrub your face clean in the washbasin, preparing yourself to get some rest before the morning came.
Whatever was of your relationship with Astarion would have to wait for you to be able to think more clearer.
Slipping into your nightdress, you allowed yourself to fall on your bed and onto your stomach with a muffled thud, wanting to do nothing more than to scream into the covers, but remained still instead.
After what felt like hours of restlessly rolling beneath the sheets, you felt your mind lighten and were able to find solace in the peace and quiet.
That was until you heard a distant voice.
A woman's voice.
Her voice.
âGo on. Bleed her dry for meâŚâ
You felt the mattress dip slightly and your eyes snapped open only to find Astarion baring his fangs.
And then he was on you, pinning you frozen with both hands.
âNo - stop! Get off!â
He didn't hold back and you felt a familiar sting tear through your neck, his cold lips sprawling across your skin.
âShe's so pathetic. Just kill her. Put her out of her misery.â
âGet off!â You cried out, feeling his weight pinning you down.
He didn't waver and you felt your blood being drained from you alarmingly fast as you tried your best to yank free from his vicious grip.
You were going to die.
He was going to kill you.
âStop! Please - Astarion!â
Something was squeezing your shoulder and you tried to squirm away from the increasing pressure.
You felt him chuckle in amusement against your skin and that was what killed you first.
âASTARION!â
The grip on you kept on increasing and you realised someone was shaking you.
âWake up.â
How was he speaking whilst fiercely feeding on you?
Were you already dead?
Your cries turned into uncontrollable sobs and you felt like breathing was no longer an option.
âWake up!â
The shove against your shoulder was too fierce this time, and you jolted violently, feeling the pressure on top of you only faintly ease.
âGet the fuck off me!â
You tried to conjure a spell - any spell - that might help you set yourself free.
He called out your name and your eyes snapped open at once, only to see Astarion hovering over you, hand now pressed firmly against your lips, muffling your sobs.
Bergamot.
Rosemary.
Aged brandy.
It was him.
He was there.
The nightmare faded with each passing second, and, for the longest time, all you could hear were your laboured breaths as you struggled to step into reality.
Your eyes were blurred from the tears welling up, and you watched his lips part to utter something, but the pounding in your ears prevented you from understanding a single word.
He eventually dropped the hand from your mouth, staring at you with an understanding look on his face.
âYou're safe."
For a split second, you wondered if this was truly your Astarion, and once you asserted that it was truly him sitting beside you, you pushed yourself from the mattress, looping your arms around his neck.
He took you in his arms, gently pressing his lips to your temple.
âYou're safe. I'm here and I've got you."
You couldn't stop the tears from streaming down as you pressed your face to his shoulder, seeking any sliver of comfort he could spare you.
The door to your room burst open.
âWhat happened? What did you do?â
Shadowheart's accusatory tone ground on your already fragile nerves.
âShe was having a nightmare.â
His cool hand came to the back of your head, further pressing you into him.
âOh. Another oneâŚâ
You felt your heartbeat soothe and your breathing gradually even out.
But his embrace felt too much like coming home for you to part from him, so you didn't, allowing him to rock you gently in his arms.
âIt's become more frequent as of late.â She said with a hint of sadness to her voice.
Astarion kept his lips pressed to your temple, grounding you.
You eventually pulled back from him with a loud sniffle. âI'm fine. I am sorry I worried youâŚâ
Shadowheart approached you, kindness on her face. âNonsense. I am here for you - we are here for you,â she added, glancing at Astarion. âAlways.â
âI'll just try to get some rest⌠you two may goâŚâ you stammered in between a few sobs.
Shadowheart didn't move and neither did Astarion.
You rubbed your puffy and wet eyes. âI mean it. It will be fine.â
âVery well,â Shadowheart drawled out reluctantly. âBut please let me know if there is anything I can help with.â
You gave her a reassuring nod paired with a comforting smile.
She returned the gesture and excused herself, clicking the door shut behind her.
Your gaze shifted to him. âYou can leave, too.â?
He scoffed. âNo.â
âWhat?â
âYou'll have to stake me.â
You were utterly confused by his perseverance.
âI am fine, Astarion. I am thankful for your help, but⌠you don't have to stay.â
He nodded. âI don't have to, but I want to.â
Your heart clenched tightly in your chest.
And then your eyes fell to his shoulder.
âOh, myâŚâ you winced at the sight of the soppy fabric of his shirt. âI'm sorry for thatâŚâ
He looked confused at first, but followed your line of sight and smiled. âWas this an excuse to get me out of my shirt?â
His playful jab immediately had you chuckle, rolling your eyes at him.
âNot to mention that I've been covered in all sorts of your bodily fluids,â he went on, earning a surprised glare from you. âThis might be myâŚâ he paused brielfy, as if evaluating his options. âAh - my third favourite, yes.â
You should have known better than to take the evident glare, but you could really use the distraction.
âWhat are the first two, then?â
You hadn't even realised your nightdress had come undone at the front until he reached out to pull back the sleeve that had slid down your arm.
Glancing down, you couldn't help the rush of heat on your cheeks as your breasts were barely covered at all.
âBlood, naturally,â he said in a low voice, tying each set of strings with unmatched dexterity, keeping your modesty preserved. âAnd your-â
But before he could reply, you quickly pressed your forefinger to his lips, eyes widening as you felt him smile under your touch and pressing a soft kiss.
You felt as though you might implode.
His hands moved up your chest, tying up the last knots.
âThere - all neatly wrapped up like a nice little gift.â He said, amusement coating his words.
He was too good at getting under your skin.
More than you were willing to admit, especially out loud.
âThank you for making me laugh.â You said truthfully, pushing aside how he had so easily made you feel all heated up.
âI aim to please.â
His words hit you like a thousand knives.
âYou're more than thatâŚâ You said, wanting to reassure him that he didn't need to resort to honeyed words and calculated moves to create a meaningful connection with someone.
But your statement had the opposite effect, and he frowned slightly.
âDon't. Do not startâŚâ
You swallowed and nodded in understanding. âI didn't mean to offend.â
He shook his head, adjusting the fabric of your nightdress over your shoulders. âYou didn't. I merely do not wish to make this about me.â
You were slightly taken aback.
âI know all too well the burden of nightmares,â he explained. âEven if elves don't indulge in conventional sleep, we are still prone to nightmares when we trance.â
Oh.
âAnd I would hate for you to be plagued like that.â
You lowered your gaze, feeling extremely exposed all of a sudden.
âSo tell me, darling, when did these start?â He asked, shifting closer to you. âAnd why were you screaming my name?â
You felt a lump swell in your throat.
He placed his finger under your chin, and pressed upwards until your eyes met his.
âWhat haunts you?â
You.
âCan we just⌠notâŚâ You asked, already feeling tears prickling in the corners of your eyes.
Reason told you that a heartfelt conversation with Astarion was long overdue, but you didn't feel ready.
You still felt too startled and too vulnerable.
He had hurt you in more ways than one, even if unconsciously done at times.
âWe don't have to talk about it.â
You nodded, a few tears rolling down. âThank you.â
âWe can push all of that aside, even if just for tonight.â
Your heart hammered fast inside you.
He then cradled your face in his hands, leaning in to press his lips to each cheek, kissing your tears away.
Your eyes fluttered shut as he trailed down, inching closer to your lips.
A shudder coursed throughout your entire body, barely able to contain the anticipation.
Please kiss meâŚ
His thumbs rubbed slow circles on your flushed cheeks and your lips parted as his ghosted yours.
AstarionâŚ
Almost there.
You could almost taste him.
Your hands came to grip his wrists tightly, silently urging him to take you.
Please⌠pleaseâŚ
As your heart thudded faster and faster, you gasped when he quickly kissed the tip of your nose before pressing his lips to your forehead.
You couldn't deny the overwhelming wave of disappointment that washed over you, even if, deep down, you realised it was probably the best course of action, considering how vulnerable you still felt from the nightmare.
A few more tears spilled over, which he quickly brushed away before pulling back.
âI can stay until you fall asleep.â
Your heart dropped.
Everything was conditional with him.
It was always meant to come to an end, eventually.
He would stay with you⌠but only until you drifted off to another nightmare, perhaps.
It was as if he couldn't simply stay with you.
You shook your head with a sniffle, letting go of him. âNo. You can go⌠but thank you for this.â
âI can stay.â
â... until I fall asleep.â You finished his sentence.
He nodded, eyes locking with yours. âOr for as long as you need me.â
You felt ridiculous from the way your heart immediately skipped a beat.
âWill you hug me?â
He shifted back against the headboard and sprawled his arms out to you with a sly grin. âCome here, darling.â
For a brief moment, you saw your Astarion again.
Open and caring.
You scooted over to rest your body against his, smiling softly as he placed his arm around you, trailing absent-minded caresses along your arm.
His coldness felt comfortable even in the dead of night, and you wrapped your arm around his torso, enjoying the silence.
âAm I too cold?â
You're perfect.
You shook your head vehemently.
But he still reached out to grab the blanket at your feet, draping over your frame.
âYou are shivering, you fool.â He whispered and you could hear the smile in his remark.
You snuggled up against him, wishing you could freeze this moment in time.
Slowly but surely, and lulled by his caresses, you felt exhaustion take over, your eyelids feeling progressively heavier.
Maybe this was all a dream.
Maybe you'd wake up only to find that this had never happened.
That you hadn't felt your Astarion once again.
His chin was resting atop your head and your heart skipped yet another beat.
âAstarion?â
âHmm?â
âWhat happened to usâŚâ
The hand on your arm stilled for a moment and he hushed you. âJust rest.â
Your eyelids did feel heavy, and you could recognise your own brain fighting away your sleep, but you still wanted to know.
You needed to know what had gone so terribly wrong.
Especially when the man holding you in his arms had just provided immeasurable comfort.
âI miss you⌠usâŚâ You heard yourself mumble under your breath.
He did utter something unintelligible, but you were far too exhausted to ask for a repeat.
Your warm body slumped against his cold one as he lulled you into sleep with the rhythmic caresses on your back.
It seemed that this time, your nightmare had started and ended with him.
Morning came and he was gone.
Of course he was.
Even with your windows barred from the sun, he had still chosen to leave.
He had tucked you under the bedsheets and warm blankets.
You had nearly forgotten what a good night of sleep was ever since the nightmares had taken root in your mind.
His scent lingered all around you and it was impossible to escape it.
You eventually pushed yourself up to sit in silence, going over the events of a couple of hours ago.
Why did he always leave in the end?
Why couldn't you just bring yourself to move on from him?
You could have taken the time to open up to him about how you felt, but you were so afraid to push him away.
He had his own vulnerabilities and he didn't need yours weighing him down, too.
You lazily scrambled out of bed, slipping into your robe, ready for a new day.
As you made your way down the corridor, you began to hear heated voices coming from the kitchen.
âMust we all live in darkness because of you?â
You found Astarion sitting by the table, seemingly unbothered by Lae'zel's snarky remarks, the room plunged in darkness, keeping the scorching sun at bay.
âOh please, feel free to address your complaints to the Grand Duke.â
Gale saw you first and offered a warm smile. âHow are you feeling, my friend?â
You hugged yourself, forcing a smile. âI am well, thank you.â
Astarion turned his head to you, annoyance giving way to a sliver of concern. âDid you manage to get some rest?â
You nodded, your heart immediately reacting to his presence.
âShall I brew some chamomile tea?â Gale offered eagerly, moving about the kitchen to gather the supplies.
âThank you,â you said, glancing around. âWhere is Shadowheart?â
âShe headed out to the apothecary,â Gale said, placing the kettle by the fireplace. âShe's keen on helping you out with these nightmares.â
Guilt hit you.
Of course she had.
Shadowheart had held your hand through so many perils, yet you couldn't help but to feel guilty that she was searching for help when the solution to your problem was right in front of you.
And he kept glaring at you, as if studying your every move.
A soft knock on the front door snapped you from your thoughts, and you went to push it open, revealing the visitor.
No.
No fucking way.
You immediately slammed the door shut, feeling rage swirl inside you.
âWho is it?â Gale asked.
âNo one.â
Then your gaze met Astarion's whose eyebrow was arched in confusion.
âThat is no way to treat a guest.â The woman outside chirped happily.
Ava.

guys.
Tonyâs a guest judge on the latest season on Masterchef meant for those in the 18-21 year old category. Heâs not sure why the fuck heâs there when he canât differentiate shit in the kitchen, but heâs definitely there to bump up the ratings.
Heâs supposed to be giving insightful comments, maybe give a pep talk or two, comfort a candidate during a meltdown, but goes absolutely speechless when the first person to present his dish is 18 year old Peter Parker from Queens.
âTony.â Rhodey hisses from the side. âTony.â
âAbsolutely brilliant. Five stars. You know what? Make it ten. Itâs fantastic. Cooked just right.â
Beside Tony, Rhodeyâs trying not to cuss up a storm, âYou havenât even tasted it, man!â
Tony accepts the fork thatâs handed to him, his gaze still fixed on pink-cheeked smiley Peter. Stabs his fork through a piece of chorizo and pops it into his mouth.
ââŚcomments, Tony?â The host prompts him, somewhat nervously.
âNothing. Heâs perfect.â
âI meantâŚthe food. Your comments on the food.â
Peterâs trying to maintain his composure, but itâs obvious he finds the whole situation hilarious.
âLook, Iâm not even qualified to judge a cooking competition, but what do you feel about being my personal chef?â
The person behind the camera is yelling âCut!â and Pepper is in him in a heartbeat, her stiletto heels clacking ominously against the floor.
âTony-â
âSeriously.â Tony sets the fork down. âYou should see my kitchen. Itâs state of the art. Pepper.â He turns to his personal assistant. âTell him how fantastic my kitchen is.â
âUm.â Peter glances uncertainly towards the side where the producers are in the midst of a heated discussion whether that little segment should be left in for airing. ââŚthatâs nice?â
Pepper smiles apologetically at Peter, âIâm sorry. Really.â
âItâs fine. Not everyone can say that theyâve been on Masterchef and got flirted with by the Tony Stark. But seriously, howâs the food? I did spend an hour trying to perfect this.â
âHonestly, kid. Iâm gonna maybe need a personal demonstration of how you cooked this dish. You know-â Tony gestures uselessly with his hands. â-for evaluation purposes.â
âUh huh. Of course.â
Obviously, itâs a competition and Tony canât be having favorites, but itâs obvious who heâs rooting for. The episode airs with that little clip of Tony flirting kept in, and the ratings go insane. A couple of episodes later, Peter announces that heâs withdrawing from the competition because of a much better offer and Tony officially interrupts the live episode with a,
âYes, as my boyfriend.â

gastronauts is genuinely so delightful? it's FUN, it's like⌠in most cooking shows i see, and admittedly i dont watch them closely, the pressure of the competition is SO high that a lot of the fun gets sucked out. or maybe it's just for ME that the fun gets sucked out lol but gastronauts is like "you're not being judged by critics, this is comedy, go nuts show nuts whatever" and it's DELIGHTFUL. it looks like the chefs are ENJOYING cooking and not just competing.
maybe i just hate judges rating food on scales i cant even begin to comprehend lmao

Summary: Reader and Aaron meet for the first time before she starts as a full-time nanny for Jack.
Notes: Hopefully will be at least 5 parts! I'm excited to be writing again :)
Word Count: 4.6K
I always believed in new beginnings, but as I stood on Aaronâs doorstep, rolling a suitcase in one hand and a Vera Bradley duffel bag in the other, I was tempted to question my resolute thinking. It had yet to fail me. Not when I was hardly eighteen and living on the other side of the country, vying for my spot at the esteemed culinary arts program. And not when Iâm twenty-four with a stint as the private chef
Professional chef turned nannyâfor my fatherâs beloved mentee, no less. My parents, ever supportive and ever loving, practically held an intervention when I showed up on their suburban door step a fractured shell of the bubbly daughter they dropped off at the airport.Â
Five years later, Iâm sleeping in the same bed. I had nightmares about leaving once again. And yesterday I gave up that bed for a full-time position as Aaron Hotchnerâs live-in nanny. Aaron, who I never even met, is my fatherâs protege. He knew him as a whip-smart, young lawyer from a family Law dynasty at Quantico. My father took him under his wing and even after his early retirement from the BAU they would get together for an annual work lunch.Â
I was nearly finished with my final year of the Los Angeles Culinary Arts Program when my fathers called to say that Aaronâs wife was murdered. I remembered thinking how lucky Dad was and how brave Daddy had to be. With one day off saving the world and the other left to hold down the fort with an awfully anxious only child daughter.Â
One year later, I was unemployed and completely blacklisted from the culinary entertainment industry for reasons beyond my control and without my fault. I gripped the suitcase, my chipped fingernails so jagged they punctured my skin.Â
Aaron had a nice house with a manicured front lawn, a big wrap around porch, and a fully furnished backyard. Clearly, he was a man with a lot of education and a lot of smarts to top it off. He worked hard. It showed, these neighborhoods of Arlington, Virginia werenât cheap. No wonder my dads were dying to relocate to Georgia.Â
The door swung open before I could work up the courage to ring the bell or knock on the dark cherry wood. Aaron answered. He wore a dark green menâs quarter zip that was pushed up, showing off his forearms. His dark, charcoal gray watch shone as he let me into his foyer.Â
He had a foyer.
And a house that smelt like warm cinnamon and musk.Â
âY/N,â Aaron said, nodding to me with a smile, âPlease give me your bags. And weâll go sit and chat before Jack comes. His grandma is still in town and brought him to the zoo.âÂ
I complied. There wasnât a need for me to protest. And clearly, by the looks of those forearms, he would have no problem handling my bags. I only brought a single suitcase, a duffel, and five boxes of books. Aaronâs mother-in-law, Lorriane, had been staying with them since Haley died a year and a half ago. But her husband broke his hip. Apparently, Aaron had added a mother-in-law suite for Lorriane and judging by the looks of his home, the suite Iâd be living in for the foreseeable future was twice the size of my studio in LA.Â
âThanks.â I said, grabbing a seat on the brown fabric sofa, âMy dad said I had to say hello to you for him. He still raves about you. Like all the time.â I chuckle, watching as Aaron hands me a glass of iced tea.Â
âMartyâs a good man. He and Gideon built the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Our team is in constant debt to him.â Aaron spoke so formally, gesturing for enthusiasm with his hands.Â
âYeah, well. Heâs always just been dad to me.â I smiled, the man I knew showed up to my field hockey games even if it meant holding office hours there. He was the most there dad I could ask forâ maybe it was neck in neck for the both of them.Â
âSo Jack?â I said, breaking the silence. âHowâhowâs he been?â I couldnât help but wonder. My dads had a close friend who helped them with their surrogacy journey, so while I didnât have a mother in the traditional sense, the woman who Iâ m half of was still alive and in my life. Debra was more like an aunt to me, fun and spirited and eternally youthful. But I still had her.Â
Unlike Jack, whoâs Earthly ties to his mother were shredded in an horribly violent way.Â
My dad hardly ever cried, but when he called and told me that Aaronâs wife died I could hear it in his raw voice. Aaronâs a man cut from the same cloth a Dad; stoic and responsible. He was a wall of somber trepidation, but somewhere deep inside I could make out the man that wasnât cataclysmically destroyed.Â
âJack isâŚheâs a strong kid. I put him in therapy after it happened. He still goes once a week. Laura, sheâs his therapist. Sheâs wonderful. Truly has helped Jack work through all this.â
âThatâs good. Thatâs really good, Mr. Hotchner. It seems as though Jack has a solid foundation here.â I say, unsure what to say exactly. I can make an omelet six different ways, yet itâs lost on me to know what to say to a widower with a little boy. If I had to bear even a fraction of their grief, Iâm sure it would break me. I would crumble. But these two boys? Theyâre a good man in the storm. And I know in my bones, itâs entirely Aaronâs doing. If that man is anything, heâs steady.Â
âItâs Aaron. Please, Mr. Hotchner reminds me of my father.â He cringes, the lines on his eyes creasing, âYour dad said youâre a professionally trained chef? Unfortunately, Jackâs still squarely in the dinosaur shaped chicken nugget and baked tater tots phase. Itâs been a struggle to get him to try anything newâŚforâŚfor awhile now, if Iâm being honest.âÂ
I nod, thinking that Jackâs food discouragement might stem from losing his mom. âWell, the way I see it, Jack lost his mom at how old? Four and half? Thatâs when weâre starting to really know what we like and donât like to eat. His life was turned upside down and shaken all around when you lost her. So maybe he needed some consistency in a world of chaos. Not that your home is chaotic, itâs lovely and clean and happy. Itâs justâŚlossâŚâ
âLosing your mother as a toddler really fucks up your life.â Aaron says. He speaks so definitely, as if he means everything so ardently you could cast it into stone.Â
âYeah.â I add, somberly. âBut I think we can get him to branch out. Make it a game. Iâd love to cook with him. I can get him kid-safe tools so he can be involved in food preparation and cooking. Oh! Maybe Jack and I can have a garden. Iâm sure that will get him eating vegetables and fruits.âÂ
Aaronâs neutral expression slowly transitions to a soft smile. He thumps his fingers on the wooden table, as he looks out through the deck. I could feel him glance back at me and then to the yard again.Â
âI think that a garden would be lovely over on the side. Itâs far enough away from the pool and patio.â Aaron offers, sipping his tea. Itâs sweet tea, too sweet for me. Working in kitchens throughout my program has trained me to not only tolerate black coffee, but to actively seek it out. He smiles, his grin defining his face. âGood idea.âÂ
I feel heat at his praise. I like doing well, who doesn't? But after a series of mishaps and bad luck, an 'atta' girl is my Hail Mary of the month. I simply nod. âSimple things to start so he can see some quick results. Iâll get him super involved in it. Make him feel like heâs a part of a team.âÂ
âI work a lot. My team flies across the nation, as you know. It takes me away from here for days on end. It was getting too much for Lorriane. And how her husband broke his hip.â Aaron shakes his head, âHonestly, you couldnât have shown up here at a better time.âÂ
He runs his pointer finger over the water rung pooled on the coasters. âJackâs a very easy kid. Reasonable. But shy. He was shy even before HaleyâŚeven before last year. Iâve brought him to the pediatrician because he stopped talking for a while, but she said that weâve all survived an immense trauma and our brains simply process and live through that trauma differently.â
Sitting there, I couldnât help but think how lucky this little boy is. His dad was running up the hill; pushing that boulder up and up and up for an eternity. It must be an awfully lot to carry, without anyone to share the load.Â
âYeah. Iâm sure it is? Is he going into Kindergarten after the summer?â I ask, wondering if Jack went to Kindergarten on time or if Aaron and his grandma kept him home when they lost Haley.Â
âLori, Haleyâs mother, taught preschool for thirty-five years. She told me to keep him home for a year, let him be a little bit older and get the help he needs to heal and then send him. So I listened. I think that was one of the only decisions I made as a team this year.âÂ
Sympathy must have colored my face because Aaronâs demeanor shifted quickly. He sat up, sipping his iced tea and wiping his hands on his jeans. âSo basically your weekdays are around 8am-7:30pm. And occasionally on the weekends when the team does have to be on location But recently, Iâve been trying to transition to a more leadership position at headquarters. Hopefully, thatâll mean less traveling.âÂ
I quickly journaled the hours down in my notebook. Live-in nannying hours are not for those looking for a job to allow them the life of leisure. Naturally that couldnât possibly be true for a position whose main coworker is a five and a half year old boy.Â
âAlright. So thatâs summer hours. Weâll need to brainstorm lots of stuff to do all day. Maybe the library?â I write a small note to get ideas and have them approved by Aaron.
He nodded, âYes, summer hours are a lot, but Jack will be going to a couple camps that his therapist recommended. So you can get a couple hours each day to yourself. I am ready to compensate accordingly. Between my new role at the BAU and other personal investments, we live comfortably. Howâs $2,500 to start and then weâll discuss a raise in the future. And naturally your room and anything you may want to eat or have will be covered by me.â Aaron says it again in a way that leaves no room for argument. He mustâve been a great lawyer; no wonder dad adores him.Â
âThatâs quite a lot of money.â Iâm shocked and my face does a horrible job of hiding it. âIâm not a professional nanny. Iâm good with kids. Really good. But I donât do this for a living. This is you doing me a favor because if it wasnât for you, Iâd be a waitress at my dadsâ country clubsâ I cringed, my mind instantly filtering in an image of me serving one-time sorority sisters bottomless mimosas for an Easter Brunch.Â
âI apologize if you though that it was up for discussion, Y/N. Your first monthâs pay will be $2,500 each week. And then it will increase to $3,250 each week. If Iâm asking you to work 13 hour days plus one weekend a month? I better be paying you that much. And youâre still on Martyâs health insurance?âÂ
I rolled my eyes, of course dad mentioned that to Aaron and of course Aaron double checked. Aaron just might have Marty, JD beat when it comes to thoroughness. âYeah, till Iâm 26. And thatâs likeâŚa year and change away.â I say, implying that itâs not up to me, or Aaron even, to know how long Iâll be with him. I wasnât sure if I would ever venture out to LA again; not after what happened that sent me back here for good.
But the thing about food is that everyone wants good food, no matter where they live. And right now, the ones that wanted something good in their lives, lived in a lovely Colonial home on Moss Avenue.Â
âI guess thereâs no arguing with you, prosecutor.â I say, my voice increasing just so that it balances the line between teasing and something elseâŚsomething else I should be too ashamed to admit.Â
It elicited a smile from him and all of the sudden it was completely worth it. Aaron finishes his tea, and places it into the sink after dumping the remaining ice chips down the drain.Â
âNon-negotiable. Itâs in your contract. Along with a health insurance package should you need to go off Martyâs name. Plus all that tax information that Iâll get you someone to walk you through it.â Aaron explained.Â
âThank you.â I replied, grateful that it was both all above the table and that I would be given the resources to help me figure it out. Looking at the pile of paperwork in my lap, I was sure that if Aaron didnât offer legal literacy assistance I would be way in over my head. âThatâs wonderful. Really.âÂ
âI justâŚI just want my son to be a good kid with a good childhood. Thatâs all. I want to be there for him and if Iâm not there, I want the next best thing there. You know?â Aaron said and Iâm not sure if itâs a plea or statement. Or if it was stuck somewhere in the middle; lost at sea like Aaron was himself. An island unto himself, drifting as the tide rolled in.Â
I break the silence. âWhat was Haleyâs favorite meal?âÂ
Aaron smiled. His eyes, crinkling again. âShe had chicken piccata on our first date. And we ate it at our wedding. And when she found out she was pregnant with Jack she made it for me.â I nodded, understanding the important link between food and memories.Â
âLetâs make it. For Jack and you and Lorianne to share tonight before she leaves. Itâs going to be a big transition for him to go from having grandma all the time to me, someone very new.â I expressed, hoping that I didnât sound bossy or as if I wanted to parent Jack myself.Â
âThatâs a lovely idea, Y/N.â Aaron sighed. âBut I never was much of a chef. I wouldnât know the first place to start.âÂ
He leaned his hands against the table, a slight smile breaking the formidable since that had fallen between us in the moments before. I smiled back, standing from the table to reach my tote bag.Â
I pulled out an apron, the kind that criss crossed over my back. It was denim blue with a canvas front and large pockets.Â
âMove over,â I said, tying my apron, âIt might be your kitchen, Aaron, but for tonight youâre kicked outâÂ
The chicken ended up being more chicken piccata adjacent than a true representation of the dish. I mixed a seasoned blend of flour and spices for the dredging. Then, butterflied and pounded the chicken breasts into thin pieces.Â
Aaronâs kitchen was spacious and airy. There was a large island with barstools on one side and lots of pantry and cupboard space on the other. I stood at the island, dredging the chicken in seasoned flour before placing it nearly on paper towel lined trays. The chicken, thinned and butterflied, didnât take long to cook in the oil and butter.Â
I let the skillet heat up till the oil, butter, garlic, and capers produced a mouthwatering aroma. Aaron gave me a bottle of white wine, imperative to make the sauce taste even better. I added freshly squeezed lemon juice and lemon slices to the pan sauce, letting the brown bits cook a little bit more. I scraped the edges of the skillet, incorporating the sauce even more.Â
I placed the chicken back into the pan, letting it absorb the lemony, garlicky flavor of the sauce. The sauce thickened, forming something that was similar enough to chicken piccata. I added a bit more butter to the pan, along with some lemon. I figured that it would stretch a little bit more for some sauce for the pasta on the side.Â
The chicken was simmering in the pan and the pasta water nearly boiling, when Jack came home. He looked like his father, but must have gotten his lighter colored hair and eyes from his mother.Â
Aaron walked into the kitchen with Jack, his hands resting on Jackâs shoulders protectively. Jackâs shy demeanor was evident as he peered over at me. I smiled and waved as I finished the pasta.Â
âJackie, this is Ms. Y/N.â Aaron introduced me to the young boy, who stood shyly by his father. âWe talked about how Grandma Lorraine needs to go back home. And weâre gonna have a friend come and live here.âÂ
Jack nodded, his little mind clearly spinning and spinning to make sense of all this. He was clearly well adjusted, even for losing his mother at such a young age.Â
âHey, there Jack!â I smiled. âI made a good dinner for you and your dad. I heard you went to the zoo with Grandma. I love the zoo. Especially the tigers.âÂ
Jack nodded, eagerly walking around the kitchen island to talk about the zoo. âYeah,â he said, âI liked the monkeys. They were funny. The babies were learning to climb and jump.âÂ
I nodded, plating up some food for Jack. âSuper cool. Theyâre kinda like little people. The way they act and play.â I placed the plate on the counter. âI used the Cars plate. It was way too cool not to.â I crouched down and whispered to Jack, âJust make sure your dad doesnât swipe it. Between you and me I can see him eying it from here.âÂ
Aaron chuckled, reaching high to grab not one, but two plates. He handed one to me before telling Jack to go sit for dinner. âYouâre joining us. Itâll be good for us to get to know one another.âÂ
âI donât want to intrude.â
âNothing you do would be an intrusion. And itâs good for Jack to see that weâre friends. Heâll be more trusting of you.âÂ
I nodded, understanding that it was very important for Jack to become used to me. Especially considering Aaronâs job could take him away for days at a time.Â
âAlright.âÂ
Aaron nodded. âSit. Iâll get your plate.âÂ
There was an understanding that washed over me. An understanding that Aaron was the kind of man that didnât ask for things. He was simply used to things he wanted being carried out. I envied that security. Maybe if I had even an ounce of it I would still be hacking it out in LA. Or maybe I wouldnât have needed to figure it out because I wouldâve figured it out already.Â
Jack and Aaron went back and forth, swapping facts about dinosaurs. Jack was squarely in the dinosaur phase. Five minutes in, and I already had promised to help him find a dinosaur coloring book, with dinosaurs besides just the âcool onesâ.Â
âUncle Spencer says that some dinosaurs had heads as big as a car!â Jack said, practically shrieking with excitement as he recounted all the facts a certain Uncle Spencer had told him.Â
âUncle Spencerâs so smart. And heâs a kid!â Several of Jackâs stories started with the aforementioned Uncle Spencer and I couldnât help but wonder where the connection lay. Especially if, like Jack claimed, Spencer was a child. Sometimes some cousins are so far apart in age theyâre more like an aunt or an uncle. Perhaps this was the case.
âSpencer is on my team.â My face must have shown my confusion. I always wore my emotions and thoughts on my sleeves, something that failed me several times over. Most notably when my friends in LA would get hit on by men at bars in the most vile of ways. One of the blessings of being deemed unapproachable by men was being left alone, but that didnât mean I wasnât burdened by their lack of tact in seducing women. âAnd heâs 28âŚyes about 28 now, and has been on the team since he was 23. Heâs brilliant. Jason Gideon, who worked with Martin, scouted him when he was hardly 21. His mind works in ways that are simply unexplainable.âÂ
âWhich means he must have some pretty sick dino facts?â I ask, my question causing a prickly smile to appear on Aaronâs face. Jack giggles, he must enjoy seeing his father smile. It seems that even though the boys find themselves moving alone, smiles are few and far between. Especially from the elder Hotchner.Â
âAnd three phDs.â Aaron cut the rest of Jackâs chicken, sliding his plate over and reminding him to at least try the vegetables. âItâs like these kids are getting younger as fast as they are getting smarter. Sometimes I just look at Spencer and my knees hurt. Then again, Iâm pretty sure I would beat him in anything athletic. Even though heâs much younger.âÂ
I raised my brow instinctively, smiling. âWas that a joke?â I deadpanned. âMy dad said you made two jokes the entire time he knew you. And the first wasâŚâ
I stopped myself short. But it was far too late. Aaron, like myself and my father, knew when the first joke he made to my father was. His wedding day. My father had long retired, and moved his mind and soul far, far away from the BAU. He trusted Aaron and Gideon to handle it. Instead he decided to live as himself, freely with his husband and their daughter in the suburbs.
If there was one thing that I shouldnât have done the first night working with a nanny family consisting of a widower and his son, it was to bring up the marriage of the widower.Â
When Aaron married his late wife, Haley. My fathers attended, but I didnât even remember. It mustâve been one of those times that Nana would sleepover. I remembered it was painting nails, ordering Chinese, and watching Walker, Texas Ranger and Family Feud. I remembered it as falling asleep to my Nanaâs snoring as Home Shopping Club glowed on her ancient TV set and waking up to her chocolate chip pancakes. My father remembers it was the first time his young protege made a joke. And Aaron remembers it was the day he married the love of his life.Â
âDaddy?â Jack said, cutting through the silence, âI donât like veggies. Theyâre too mushy.âÂ
âDonât eat them, bud.â Aaron, murmured, his voice laced with a guard that I hadnât noticed till now. It was careful, like he crafted each tone and cadence before he spoke. âWeâll figure it out, Jack. Come on, letâs show Ms. Y/N her room. Where sheâll be staying.âÂ
Each sentence is clipped and calculated. I nod, smiling as Jack stands next to his father.Â
âIâll clean up.âÂ
Aaron nodded, thanking me as he took Jack up to get ready for bed. Minutes later, the kitchen was back to normal and a couple extra meals were packed away for leftovers. I left a note on the counter for Aaron in the morning.Â
Lunch is in the fridge.
I always like to make extras!Â
Have a nice day
Y/N
Aaron returned, without Jack. âYou didnât have to do the whole kitchen. I donât expect that. This isnât a housekeeping job, itâs taking care of Jack.âÂ
âI donât mind. Being a chefâŚor I was a chef, as much as a pain in the ass cleaning and dishes can be sometimes itâs a good way to finish it all. I donât knowâŚI donât make sense.â I chuckled, trailing off in a rambly way that fully gave away my nerves. My previous blunder had shaken me, especially since Aaron seemed completely unnerved, even though I knew it stung.
âI suppose, sometimes I used to stay late to do all the paperwork, even though the interns usually will do it for us.â Aaron wipped his hands on his pants.âAnyway, let me show you to the room. I had it cleaned over the weekend and put Lorianne up at a hotel for a couple nights so there wouldnât be any issues or crossover.â
Aaron led me through the rest of the house. It was neat and tidy and I didnât expect anything else from someone like Aaron, even though he does have a young, energetic son. There was just something meticulous about him. Something so put together and careful. And then there was me. Messy and complicated and unsure and terrified. Anyone would be that after having the carpet pulled out from under them. And I couldnât name a bigger carpet than having to bury your life.Â
There was a locked door that led to what Aaron explained as my private area. âJack and I wonât come over here. From the time that I get home in the evenings, or frankly, some days, till I leave in the mornings is your own. This is your spot in the house, but my housekeepers that come twice a month will clean in here, if youâd like.âÂ
I nodded, grateful for that added bonus. The small attachment was the size of a studio apartment. There was a kitchenette with a nook tucked into the corner with the windows. The furniture matched the rest of the house, clearly Aaron had spared no expense to add this attachment. The queen sized bed was pushed up against the wall and nestled into the corner. Next to it was a nightstand with a lamp. And, as I turned the corner, was the crowning jewel.Â
âAre those builtâins?â I asked, staring in disbelief. âThose are so gorgeous. I have like, easy, a ton, of books. God! Can I use them?â I turned, practically jumping from joy as Aaron chuckled reluctantly.Â
âOf course. This roomâs yours.â Aaron mustâve carried my bags into the bedroom while I was cooking because all of my belongings sat on the floor near the set of love seats and armchair. âIâll leave you to get settled. 8:30 okay for tomorrow?âÂ
I nodded, stunned beyond belief as I opened my boxes of books. Aaron handed me a set of keys, one to the house, the shed, and the other to my area of the house.Â
âYouâre the only one that has a copy. If you want others made, Iâll cover the expense.â Aaron explained. âHave a good night, Y/N.âÂ
âGood night,â I replied, hooking the keys onto my set. âAnd thank you for this room. Itâs nicer than my apartment in LA.âÂ
Aaron leaned against the doorframe, âOf course, I think Jack'll be very happy. Itâs been hard to trust others. With him, honestlyâŚJackâs all I got left.â I had known Aaron for about three hours, heard stories of his skill and professionalism and talent for years, but he wasnât someone that I had known, let alone even met. But in those three hours, I could count several times where I saw a sliver of emotions.
âIâll leave you to it.âÂ
âNight.âÂ
âAnd Y/N?â Aaron said, stopping me as I reach down to start shelving books, âFood does hold memories. Youâre right. I needed it. We did. Jack and I. He needs to remember her.âÂ
âFood has memories.â I said, shrugging, âYouâre gonna have to learn I know more than you think I do.â

âIâm telling you, the sex is supposed to be MIND BLOWING!â
You chuckled at Ikakkuâs words as your hands molded the rice balls into shape. This wasnât the first time a crew member had requested for you to make them special meals, with you being the shipâs cook and all. However, this was the first time someone requested for you to make sex induced food for them.
But Ikakku was your dear friend. You two were the only women in Lawâs crew, so naturally you two became very close. You were more than happy to do this favor for her.
âI still canât believe you and Penguin are a thingâ, you said with a shake of your head. âAnd please spare me the details about yâalls sex life.â
Ikakku feigned offense with a scoff and a hand to her chest. âHey! I donât judge your relationship with our Captainâ, she said with a wiggle of her eyebrows.
Your cheeks burned at the mention of your lover. Even though you and Law have been together for a while now, the thought of him still made you feel butterflies in your stomach.
âThatâs different! Me and Law are moreâŚprivate,â you said shyly.
âMore like BO-RING!â
âIKKAKU!â You gasped, ready to throw the rice ball at her.
She giggled, holding her hands up in defense, âLook, all Iâm saying is maybe you two should spice things up a bit. Wouldnât hurt for our uptight captain to loosen up.â
With that, Ikakku exited the kitchen, leaving you to your thoughts.
Were weâŚboring?
Law was a busy man and you a busy woman, with him and his medical studies and you having the responsibility of preparing meals for the entire crew throughout the day. So to balance responsibilities and your relationship, you guys had a schedule for yourâŚalone time.
You werenât complaining, the routine worked for you too. But now as you were rolling the sticky rice in your hands, you couldnât shake Ikkakuâs words out of your head.
.
âThere! All doneâ, you wiped your forehead with the back of your arm before reaching behind your back to loosen your apron. There in a metal dish were 6 rice balls sprinkled with the special garnish just as Ikkaku requested. You hung your apron on the rack before heading out the kitchen to fetch your friend to retrieve her âsnackâ.
After you had exited the kitchen, moments later, your tattooed boyfriend entered in hopes of finding you.
While working, he thought it wouldnât hurt to take a short break just to fetch something to eat (mostly to see you). He frowned at the empty kitchen, he was sure you would be in here. His disappointment faded once he spotted the rice balls on the kitchen counter.
His lips curled in a smile, cheeks slightly tinted pink as he eyed the dish.
Were these for me?
Rice balls were his favorite snack and you would make it often for him when he would miss out on dinner, too consumed with work. It was one of the things Law most appreciated about you.
Law thought you mustâve known he would come in here for food and left these rice balls for him. He grabbed two of them to take with him back to his office. As he made his way back, he munched on one of them, humming contently at the taste.
It tasted slightly different than the ones you usually made but it was still delicious nonetheless. He made a mental note to âthank youâ later for it.
.
After an hour, Law started feelingâŚstrange.
Lawâs forehead beaded with sweat droplets. He paused his writing to wipe his forehead with the back of his palm. He then stripped off his hoodie, his tank top sticking to his chest, drenched in sweat.
What the hell?
Law stripped the damp tank from his body leaving his chest bare. He started examining himself, concerned he was starting to catch a fever. After the diagnostic, he came to the conclusion that he wasnât sick but something was causing him to be all hot and bothered and it was frustrating the hell out of him.
Suddenly a knock sounded at the door, interrupting his thoughts. He yelled a âwho is it?â and turned his attention to the door, to find you peeking your head in with a grin. His face softened at the sight of you.
âHey babe, I have some time to kill before preparing dinner. Mind if I stay here?â You gave him your best puppy dog eyes.
You were so cute, Law wanted to kiss that adorable pout off your face.
Law nodded, beckoning you inside with his hand. You beamed as you entered his office, shutting the door behind you. You went towards the book stand adjacent to Law, back facing him as you scoured the selection for a book to read.
Law couldnât control his gaze from staring at your ass, admiring how nice it looked in those jeans you were wearing. He could feel his pants get tighter from his growing erection. He pressed a hand to his bulge, scrunching his forehead at his bodyâs reaction.
He didnât know why he felt so horny all of a sudden but all he knew is that he needed you and needed you now.
You finally found a book to your liking and was about to sit on his desk but instead you were pulled on top of Lawâs lap, straddling his pelvis. Your eyes widened when you felt how hard he was under you.
âL-Law?â A soft moan escaped your lips as Law started littering kisses and bites against the skin above your shirt collar.
âMmmâŚ.wanna thank you for earlierâ Law mumbled against your soft skin.
Thank me for earlier?
You had no clue what Law was referring to. You were about to question him more until you felt his lips against yours. His hands snaked around your lower back, squeezing your ass through your jeans. Your lips moved against each other so sensually, soft moans being swallowed by each others mouths.
He pulled away to only latch his mouth back against your neck. Your hands tossed his spotted hat to the side before entangling your fingers in his messy locks . He started bucking his hips up into you, adding pressure from his bulge to your clothed sex.
âYouâre so good to me Y/N-yaâ, Law said between peppered kisses he was leaving from your neck to your lips, âwanna show you how much I appreciate youâ
You didnât know what had gotten into your usually stoic boyfriend but you were definitely enjoying this side of him.
Your arousal started to build as you two continued grinding against each others fronts, grunts and pants escaping each others lips as you both chased your highs. Your moans became high pitched as you felt your orgasm hit you.
You felt Law groan against your neck as he came right behind you, making a mess inside his pants. Law lifted his head, his darkened eyes meeting your dazed ones.
âLooks like we made a bit of a messâ Law smirked with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
Before you knew it, you were being carried out of Lawâs study room to the bathroom across. You were surprised by Lawâs actions considering he was usually very keen about keeping your relationship private, with little to no PDA. You were loving this sudden spontaneous behavior from your boyfriend, making your core throb even more for him. Once the bathroom door closed between you two, you both couldnât keep your hands or mouths off each other.
âLaw what about dinner? Our schedule?â, you managed to get out between kisses.
âFuck the scheduleâ Law prodded and pulled your jeans down your thighs. âNeed you so bad right nowâ
Thatâs all you needed to hear, completely letting yourself go with him. You both stripped each otherâs clothes from your bodies. Law turned you around, your back pressed against his chest as he lifted one of your legs up, your foot resting on the bathroom sink. You both were facing the mirror, your leaking pussy on full display.
Lawâs arm wrapped around your front, his tatted âEâ and âAâ fingers infiltrating your wet hole. You mewl at the stretch of his long digits, as he continued to pump in and out of you.
âYou look so hot like this babe, getting fucked by my fingersâ he said, eyes strained on the mirror, watching the faces youâre making and the way your arms desperately grasp his arms as his fingers penetrate your cunt.
He swears he can cum alone just from the sight of you falling apart by just his fingers. Suddenly your body starts to writhe as you feel your stomach tightening.
âLawâŚI canât itâs too muchâ You whimper, feeling his fingertips hit your sweet spot over and over again. Law takes his fingers out and starts rubbing your clit violently.
âYes you can, take itâ Law was not letting up, determined to get you to cum.
âShit..LawâŚLaw..Lawâ, you chant his name as your legs started to shake as your juices spray all over the mirror like a hose.
Law was mesmerized watching you make a mess all over his fingers and the bathroom sink and mirror.
Your vision was hazy and your chest was heaving as you came down from the most intense orgasm you ever had. You didnât even realize your limp body was being carried into the shower until you felt the warm water spray down on both of you.
Law lowered you onto his cock, and started bucking his hips up into you. Law usually paced his strokes more thoroughly when you two usually had sex, but at this moment his thrusts were animalistic as he chased his high.
The sound of the shower water barely drowned out your cries and Laws groans alongside the slapping of skin against skin.
The way Lawâs cock was hitting your g spot so fast and hard, had tears glossing your eyes. The pain of your overstimulated cunt mixed with pleasure was too much.
Law couldnât get enough of you. He was drunk off the feeling of your sweet warm walls around him. He emptied his load not once, but twice more. He continued fucking himself into overstimulation. He had one more in him, pushing past his limit. His pace never letting up, determined to fill you up one last time.
âYes, yes, yes, yesâ Was the only word you could say as Law continued abusing your cunt. You had lost count of the amount of orgasms you had, each one more intense than the last.
âFuck, babe, I love youâ Law grunts, before spilling inside you one last time.
.
Your back was pressed against his tattooed chest as he lazily caressed the bar soap over your chest pressing a kiss to your forehead.
After you both calmed down, Lawâs sexual drive finally wore off. He drew you two a bath to properly clean yourselves off from the mess you two made.
âThat wasâŚâ Law paused unable to describe what had just happened.
âMind blowingâ, you finished, and suddenly a switch was flipped in your head and your eyes widened at your revelation.
âBabe, did you happen to eat rice balls that were in the kitchen?â You said, tilting your head back to look at him.
âYes and they were deliciousâ, he pressed another kiss to your forehead. âI thought that was clear from my âthank youââ, he said with a smirk.
Oh my god
You suddenly burst out laughing, and Law looked at you like you had lost your mind.
âWhat, Y/N-ya?â
How could you have not seen the signs. Suddenly your boyfriendâs behavior was starting to make s lot more sense.
âSee, what had happened wasâŚ.â

sorry for the delay lol i had not checked my messages, but thanks for the request , hope it did not disappoint, loads of love @pear-1206
Title: Taste Tester Duties Pairing: Toto Wolff X fem!wife and Jack Warning: None
pictures are from pinterest
The kitchen was a beautiful disaster, a blend of chaos and creativity that only came from a day spent experimenting with new recipes. Flour was scattered over the countertops like a dusting of fresh snow, and various kitchen utensils were piled in the sink, a testament to the culinary journey you and your son, Jack, had been on.
You glanced at the clock. It was almost time for Toto to come home. Heâd taken on the role of your official taste tester ever since you decided to test out new recipes in the evenings. As a chef, you prided yourself on perfecting every dish, but there was something special about letting your husband, the always-composed Toto Wolff, be the first to try your new creations. And today, with Jackâs âhelp,â it was bound to be an adventure.
âMommy, look!â Jack called out, holding up a wooden spoon triumphantly. Heâd been in charge of stirring the sauce, but judging by the state of his shirtâand faceâhalf of it seemed to have found its way onto him. Chocolate sauce, no less.
âOh my,â you chuckled, wiping a smear of chocolate off his cheek with your thumb. âYouâre going to be as messy as the kitchen.â
Jack beamed up at you, not bothered at all by the chocolate mayhem. âPapaâs going to love it, right?â
âHe will,â you said with a smile, finishing the last of the plating. âEspecially when he knows you helped.â
Just as you were setting the dishes out on the kitchen island, you heard the familiar sound of the front door opening. The deep baritone of Totoâs voice followed, speaking a quick goodbye to someone on the phone before he hung up. Jack's face lit up with excitement, and he dashed out of the kitchen to greet his father.
âPapaâs home!â he yelled, his little feet padding down the hallway.
Toto chuckled from the doorway, scooping Jack up into his arms the moment he came barreling into him. âThereâs my boy,â Toto said warmly, planting a kiss on Jackâs chocolate-smeared forehead. âHave you been helping Mama again?â
Jack nodded vigorously. âI made the sauce!â
Toto raised an amused eyebrow, following Jackâs enthusiastic pointing toward the kitchen. âI can see that. Very creative.â
You couldnât help but laugh when they both walked into the kitchen, Jack still perched in Totoâs arms. Totoâs eyes swept over the mess of the kitchen, landing on the immaculate plate of ravioli you had just finished arranging.
âWell, itâs always a good sign when the kitchen looks like a war zone,â he teased, setting Jack down. âMeans something special is about to happen.â
âLetâs hope the food looks better than the kitchen,â you said, wiping your hands on your apron.
âIâm ready for my duties,â Toto said, rolling up his sleeves in an exaggerated gesture, a familiar twinkle in his eye. âWhat culinary adventure have you prepared for me this time?â
You placed the plate of ravioli in front of him with a flourish. âRavioli with a chocolate reduction sauce. A little sweet, a little savory. And Jack was my sous-chef today.â
Toto glanced between you and Jack, clearly trying to keep a straight face. âA chocolate sauce, you say?â
âI stirred it!â Jack piped up again, climbing into the chair beside his father. âItâs good!â
Toto gave him a playful nod. âWell, if Jack says so, then I trust him. Here goes nothing.â
With that, Toto picked up his fork and carefully cut into the ravioli, making a show of sniffing it dramatically. He took a bite, chewing slowly while you and Jack watched with bated breath.
After a pause that felt much longer than it needed to, Totoâs face broke into a wide grin. âIncredible. Absolutely perfect,â he said, wiping his mouth with a napkin. âSweet, savory, just the right amount of balance. Jack, I think youâre a genius.â
Jackâs chest puffed up in pride. âTold you!â
You let out a relieved laugh, playfully rolling your eyes at the theatrics. âI thought I might have lost my touch there for a second.â
âNever,â Toto said, reaching out to squeeze your hand. âThough I have to say, I was a little worried when I saw the chocolateâŚâ
âYou doubt me?â you said with mock offense.
Toto grinned, leaning back in his chair. âNever. But Jackâs taste is a little more⌠adventurous than mine.â
As if to prove his point, Jack was already poking at the leftover chocolate sauce on his plate, dipping his fingers in and licking them happily. âItâs the best sauce, Papa. Better than what you have on race weekends.â
âIs that so?â Toto asked, pretending to be offended. âWell, maybe I should ask the Mercedes team chef to take some notes from you two.â
âIâd be happy to share my recipe,â you teased, sitting down beside him. âBut itâll cost you.â
âOh?â Toto raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth. âAnd whatâs the fee?â
You leaned in closer, lowering your voice to a conspiratorial whisper. âAnother date night.â
Toto smirked, leaning in just as close. âDeal.â
Before you could steal a quick kiss, Jack interrupted with a loud, âEw, Papa, no kissing!â
You and Toto both burst into laughter, and Toto ruffled Jackâs hair. âAlright, alright, Iâll spare you this time.â
Jack grinned, pleased with himself, and then clambered off his chair. âCan I have more sauce, Mommy?â
âOnly if you promise not to wear it this time,â you said, eyeing the chocolate stains on his shirt.
As you got up to serve Jack another small portion, Toto stayed seated, watching the two of you with a contented smile. These momentsâthe little everyday joys of being together as a familyâwere what he looked forward to most after long days spent at the track or in meetings.
âYou know,â Toto said, breaking the comfortable silence, âI think this one is good enough to serve at the next team dinner.â
You turned, eyebrow raised. âReally?â
He nodded, a playful smirk on his lips. âAbsolutely. I can already picture Lewis and George fighting over the last plate.â
You laughed at the image. âIâm sure Jackâs chocolate sauce will be the next big thing in Formula 1.â
âWorld champion sauce,â Toto declared, raising his fork like a trophy. âCourtesy of my talented wife and her apprentice.â
Jack beamed, holding up his spoon in victory, mimicking his fatherâs gesture. âYeah, world champion!â
You shook your head fondly at the two of them. âWell, before you go declaring any more world championships, how about we clean up this kitchen?â
Toto groaned dramatically. âAh, the real challenge.â
âPapa, I can help!â Jack offered, hopping off his chair once again.
Toto exchanged a glance with you, his eyes softening. âAlright, buddy. Letâs tackle this together.â
The three of you spent the next while cleaning up, Jack eagerly running around with a small towel, trying his best to wipe up the counters (which mostly meant moving the mess around). But despite the chaos, there was an undeniable warmth that filled the roomâone that came from shared moments, laughter, and love.
As the last of the dishes were put away and the kitchen began to resemble something more functional, Toto pulled you into a gentle embrace, pressing a soft kiss to the top of your head. âThank you for this, liebe. Itâs exactly what I needed today.â
You smiled, resting your head against his chest. âIâm just happy you like being my taste tester.â
âI love it,â he said softly, his arms tightening around you. âBut not nearly as much as I love you.â
âPapa, come on!â Jackâs voice cut through the tender moment as he tugged at Totoâs sleeve. âLetâs go play!â
Toto chuckled, releasing you but not before planting one more quick kiss on your cheek. âDuty calls,â he said with a wink, before scooping Jack up in one fluid motion.
As you watched them disappear into the living room, their laughter filling the air, you couldnât help but feel an overwhelming sense of contentment. Life was messy, but it was yoursâperfectly imperfect.
And you wouldnât have it any other way.
