America and Canada are (nearly) identical twins and I bet they do damn good impersonations of each other. I want them to switch places and not switch back until someone notices and at first they really like it. America gets to chill out of the spotlight for awhile. Canada gets lots of attention... but then it starts to wear out, right? America gets lonely and bored. Canada gets anxious and stressed. But no one has really noticed yet--they haven't had much interaction with other nations recently and their people are totally oblivious. So they start really acting out, trying to get someone to notice they've switched... It can be a Disney Channel Original Movie call it National Identity Crisis or smth

Hiii, I felt like making a tier-maker ranking of all the current Joker Out songs because I've been really considering which songs I like best in preparation for the new album. I thought I would share it here for anyone else who wants a HUGE list of songs to sort.

I included both studio albums, the live album, the Cvetličarna performance (because I feel like that concert was on par with the Stožice concert), any unreleased songs I could find, and all the songs that currently aren't on an album but are released.

hey @clickergossip and @becomethesun im thinking about how my preschoolers had a valentines day dance where we had parents come and dance with us to songs that the kids chose. also thinking about how how toddler sarah and ellie would definitely choose the BEST songs

Some fifteen years or do ago I accidentally inherited my Great-Grandma Lily's violin. (My maternal grandpa's mom.) (How do you accidentally inherit a violin? Don't ask, it's not important.) After over a decade of carting it around with no idea how to use it, I finally got it in playable order back in May, right before we went on a long vacation. Then we got home and work was a hot mess, and I forgot about learning to play it...

Until yesterday, when my friend from work who plays upright bass came over and gave me a one-hour lesson in How To Do A Stringed Instrument, and now I can play one (1) song on violin, and I feel like a god damn virtuoso! Learning to play Twinkle Twinkle as an invested adult instead of a bored kid just hits different, you know?

It's also just... incredibly cool to be playing this instrument that belonged to a woman I never met, who was playing it years before I was ever born, that survived two more generations and came down to me even though I don't think anyone else in those generations played. This is an antique that I get to make music on, and there's something genuinely magical about that!

rin rolls her eyes. these religious folk are always so sensitive about who the gods favor, even with the threat of war growing ever closer. unamused and already bored, she rests her cheek upon her fist. what was the point of agreeing to meet her if all the cleric intended to do was express her displeasure?

" if you're trying to insult me, you need to try harder, high cleric. " it's not even an entirely accurate title -- she does a lot more than steal.

the cleric sneers. " am i to support a criminal? i will not. "

" the elf shrugs and stands, but rather than leave just yet, she leans forward, placing her palms flat against the table. the cleric could count her freckles, as close as she looms. it takes effort to not lean away, to not appear intimidated by intensity of rin's stare. " but when dear king ed comes for your people, forces them and their children to kill in his name regardless of their beliefs, remember your choice. remember you chose your saintly pride over their safety. remember you would rather risk their lives than accept the protection of a common thief. "

rin holds the high cleric's gaze for a few beats, her emerald eyes as piercing as her blades. the glow of candlelight emphasizes the hollows of the human's cheeks and the dark circles beneath her eyes; the clear loss of appetite and sleep tells rin she at least isn't an old fool. just too prideful. fancy folk always are.

nothing left to say, she turns from the table and leaves the high cleric's chambers. it is a loss for the free army to not have the clerical order's support, but they will make do without them. they have thus far. there are other magic-wielders who are much less... uptight they can reach out to. never mind the support of a religious faction might have made gaining other alliances much simpler.

rin sighs as she reaches the entrance hall of the church. gods, she needs a drink. and sleep. maybe just sleep.

" wait! "

she turns to face the high cleric with a raised brow. the woman raises her chin.

" we will join your efforts, lightwielder. " her gaze narrows and her lips purse as delight slowly dances across rin's face. " and we will see if the divinity truly favors you. " if not for the need to maintain a certain image, rin might have clicked her heels in joy. instead, she allows a full-blown grin to stretch across her lips as she struts towards the cleric and passes her.

" lookin' forward to it, high cleric. now, let's talk details, yes? "
