...O...OP should make a version of this with the wheelchair accessibility symbol and tag me and then it would be perfect for me to print out and put on my wall, *or buy, which was my initial first reaction to seeing this, but...

Mending a Family 39/?
Prev | Next
What's this, two chapters in one day? Your comments gave me inspiration to write faster, so here's a second chapter as thanks

Jason snorted at the corny flyer he had just put up on the coffee shop’s bulletin board. What was even his afterlife?
Jason sighed and put down the few flyers he had left.
After his heart-to-heart with Jazz, Jason decided to try to fill his days (and lack of a complete family) with other hobbies.
Roy suggested that he pick up new hobbies.
“Maybe archery, Jaybird. I could teach you!”
Jason had scrunched his nose at that. He respected Roy, he did, but guns and bazookas were more Jason’s style.
(Not to mention, Bruce had ingrained Green Arrow disrespect deep in his bone.)
“Maybe start with something you already like. How about a book club?” Raven had suggested. “Find other like-minded people to discuss books with.”
“Yeah, that’s a great idea,” Roy said as he ate some of the brownies Jason had baked. “Then you can leave me alone about how the gothic elements of Wuthering Heights contribute to the selfish love between Heathcliff and Catherine and how Brontë showed their twisted love through the environment.”
“That’s because she did, you uncultured swine.”
Roy had smiled, a piece of brownie stuck between his teeth.
So here Jason was, putting up flyers for a book club. He had asked Ghost Writer if he could host it in his bookstore.
“Of course you can, Jay! I would be delighted. Oh, that means I have to set up a little area so that members have a place to sit. Maybe I can order some refreshments. Oh, do you know which book you want to start with? I can place the order.”
Ghost Writer’s words became muffled as he went deeper into the store.
Jason had designed the flyer and decided to put up a few in different shops and restaurants after getting permission from the owners. He doubted many people would show up, but at least one other person who had Jason’s love of literature would be nice.
Jason looked at the time and decided he had enough time to pick up Danny and relax at the coffee shop. He ordered a coffee and a chocolate croissant and sat down where he could watch the bulletin board. He saw a few people reading the flyer. Most of them were older or middle-aged women, with one or two guys thrown into the mix.
After keeping an eye out for a while, Jason felt pleased as punch that he would have a few people at his new book club come Tuesday. He couldn’t wait.
Soon after he left, a certain blond showed up and read the flyer. She took a picture of it, ordered her latte, and left.
____
Raven felt him before she saw him.
“Batman, to what do I owe this pleasure?”
She was alone in a rarely empty Titan Tower. Everyone else was either out or staying somewhere else.
“You know where Jason is,” he stated.
“Maybe. Why do you need to know?”
Raven turned and stared at white-out eyes glaring back at her. She could see how Batman could be terrifying, but she had fought against her father, Trigon. Batman was just a man to her. A man who was in emotional pain. She hardened her heart. She knew what Jason was also feeling, and most of the emotional hurt was caused by the man before her.
“I know Roy Harper is in contact with Jason. However, neither Dick nor I can find how he can travel to wherever Jason is without any vehicle. I did find something interesting, though.”
“Please, do share, Batman.”
“Whenever he goes, there is a surge of your signature power, and most of the time, you are also gone. I can’t seem to trace where your power signature ends up, and I only find out when you’re back because there’s a surge here on the West Coast. So, don’t try to deny you know where my son is.”
“Truly, you are a great detective. I don’t deny it; I know where Jason is. That doesn’t mean you’ll get his address from me.”
Batman glared at her.
“I wasn’t here to ask where he is,” he said through gritted teeth. Raven raised an eyebrow as she sensed the truth of Batman’s statement.
“Then why are you here, Bruce Wayne?”
Batman’s glare deepened, and he scowled when he heard his civilian name. Then, with some hesitation, he took off his cowl. Before Raven was a strong and formidable man, but one with deep bruises in his eyes from lack of sleep. One who’s shoulders curved under an invisible weight.
Bruce took out a recorder that was still in its original packaging.
“I know you can sense when someone is lying to you. There are no trackers, tracers, or anything else in this recorder that can lead me to Jason. I want to send my son a message; I want to apologize.”
Raven raised an eyebrow, incredulous.
“You expect me to believe that you gave up trying to hunt Jason down like a rabid animal?”
Bruce flinched at Raven’s choice of words. Good, he deserved it.
“You tell me. Am I lying to you?”
“There are ways to trick my senses. I do not doubt that the man with a plan for everything doesn’t know how to circumvent my powers.”
Bruce let out a weary sigh.
“The man who has raised me, who is like a father to me, has chewed me out a few times about Jason. I am not an easy man to get along with. I’m stubborn, and I have control issues; I know that, but I love all of my children. However, I tend to do more damage than good when I think I know what’s best for them. That can lead to fights—to estrangement. I’m sure you remember Dick when he was younger.”
Raven nodded. Dick had been a ball of fury and resentment.
“I want to tell Jason that I see the error I have made. I shouldn’t have pushed him out of the family. That was my fault. However, I also want to let him know even if he doesn’t want to speak to me now or ever, I will always be here, but I will respect his boundaries.”
Raven stared at Bruce. She felt no lies. This could be good for both Bruce and Jason. She sighed in resignation.
“Let’s get comfortable, shall we? I don’t promise Jason will hear what you have to say, but I can give him the recording.”
She held out her hand, and Bruce Wayne gave her the recorder. They sat down opposite each other. Raven opened the recorder.
“Let’s begin,” and she pressed play.
Bruce apologizing? What's the world coming to?
Anyway, I have a question for you guys. Do you want Avril and Jason to become kinda friends with a friendly rivalry and let them bond over books, or would you rather they stay enemies? Let me know in the comments. I could write it either way.
DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NEVER READ WUTHERING HEIGHTS, SO IF THAT PART DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, LET ME KNOW. I JUST GOT THAT OFF THE INTERNET!

us resident here - i can't speak for any of the college campus experiences of antisemitism, but i do work in queer art spaces within the california bay area (berkeley, oakland, and san francisco). the most common antisemitism i've seen normalized is petty graffiti - "fuck israel" or "fuck zionists" appears somewhere on every block, most of the stop signs near me have a sticker calling to stop genocide where the "i" is shaped like israel colored in with a keffiyeh pattern, and there's a busy freeway underpass that has been wallpapered with memorial posters for hamas, hezbollah, houthi, and iri members a few times (it gets taken down every 6 months or so)
while it's a little less of an every day occurrence, another common trend is artists who aren't making art about i/p will still feel the need to virtue signal with design elements (just putting a crossed out israeli flag in the background for example), or throw away references to an israeli character being hated, or having a villain character (always played by a goy) use a bunch of yiddish words for no reason
this rise in performative vilification is distressing because it's going hand-in-hand with a culture of silence around being able to actually talk about anything jewish
a play by a holocaust survivor i produced recently had the marketing torpedoed by a lot of common arts marketing groups for vague and contradictory reasons (often weaponized incompetence, like one of them would really rather i think they were all morons who don't know how to open a pdf than admit they didn't want to hang up a poster about jews), and i clashed pretty horribly with a dramaturg who kept trying to bring gaza up in the educational resource materials even though the play was entirely set during the playwright's experience before her brother died on a death march
the isolation has had some devastating effects, like the closure of a jewish art museum because of funding problems - something literally every art and culture org in the state is dealing with. while so many other groups are calling for solidarity and mutual aid, this jewish museum received waves of harassing mail and was protested against twice supposedly for NOT promising to NOT platform zionists. showing the truth of "people love dead jews", the first statements of support from other organizations came after the closure announcement, when other museums could play the victim for their own fundraising and cry about how they could be next
while i can't speak for college atmosphere, i do some work in public elementary schools, and they've been removing jewish holidays from their cultural festivals and de-emphasizing the jewishness of many historical americans. mutliple school districts in the state are involved in lawsuits about toxic work environments for jewish teachers, inaction surrounding antisemitic bullying between students, or school boards being too blatant about the erasure i mentioned above
my personal experience might start with dumbass graffiti, and deal more with microaggressions than targeted harassment (except for what i witnessed at the museum), but it is hitting really close to home for me largely because throughout my childhood my family was kind of the picture of jewish american assimilation. we were the only jewish family in town, and i had to consciously try to regain a connection to judaism when i was in college. i'm seeing so many jewish families becoming more quiet and withdrawn and it's like a reenactment of choices my grandparents and parents made long before i was born. i chose to be jewish as much as i was born jewish, but i didn't fight for it as hard as i'm fighting now, and that's what scares me the most
i’m so sorry you’re experiencing this and please remember you’re not alone and we’re thinking of you!!!
thank you for sharing and i’m sending a big tight and overbearing jewish hug 🫂

TS4Urbz SimNews Update: theories confirmed & we learn more!
(These are from LilSimsie’s video; it was the first one I found with a dedicated Neighborhood & Townies section)

[Transcription: A Sims 4 family named "Urbane Housesharers" with three Sims. The description reads: "When Cannonball moved to Nordhaven, he first made his coin performing at the Rouge Note. Locals loved his music, and it wasn't long before he set his sights on buying the venue and fulfilling the old dream of running his own jazz lounge—alas, he was still a few coins short. A new opportunity came around when Cannonball met Crispin, who in his own youth had spent a little too much on post-modern art sculptures, but was now looking to save some Simoleons for his adoptive kid Ollie. Before long, they all moved in together and have been splitting the bills since. Now yes, Crispin can sometimes be too pompous, and sure, Cannonball can't afford the lounge quite just yet, but our dreamer has never really found his groove in this new city. And as a man who's never had a chance to be a father, he's grown quite fond of having Ollie in his life."]
First of all, that’s a super cute backstory. Second of all, I can’t believe they canonized Coleman’s first name as “Cannonball.” (… I mean, he introduces himself as "Cannonball" Coleman, not Cannonball Coleman!) Third of all, it’s just a roommates situation, and they’re in different life-stages. but you know what? I’ll ship it. Why the heck not?
It’s still absolutely surreal to me that they put Sims based off of the Urbz in their modern TS4. I can know it consciously… but when will it ever penetrate my soul?
I’ll still stand by that the ~new Crispin Black design~ is a downgrade from the original design. There is NOTHING to break up his pants, turtleneck, and shoes and it looks so much less interesting than his original design.
I do want to point out about Crispin's kid. The old Urbzville cityguide describes the Foundry as being "surprisingly close to the kids down at Kicktail Park," and Crispin Black specifically is the only Foundry member with any pre-set relationship with any member of Kicktail Park (a 40 with Rolanda Skye). So, Crispin is hinted to have... strong fatherly instincts. Anyways, I think this was a great development for his character. I like that!
Anyways, I did look at TheEnglishSimmer’s townie overview and caught a peek at Crispin’s personality (Coleman’s was skipped… probably on accident). Apparently, he’s a perfectionist (perfectly fine & kinda has some interesting implications on his original character), shady (new trait; huh?), and hot-headed (WHAT?).
Shady & Hot-headed just seem like strange choices for this character. Crispin’s original character… I mean, the Foundry took inspiration from Emo, right? And Crispin himself is shown to be very reserved. Gloomy would’ve fit a LOT better than hot-headed.
I’d have to learn what ‘shady’ means to have a concrete opinion on if that fits him or not. There are definitely shadier characters than Crispin across both versions of The Urbz, though. The Foundry had no crime associations, but Crispin does consider himself ‘cruel,’ and he runs a factory. So, meh?
Edit: I did find someone showing off Coleman’s traits. Outgoing, Good, Music Lover. Which are alll… completely fine.
I’m not going to comment on their skills (which I did see all of their skills) and other elements because they seem fine (+ are much more up-to-interpretation than traits are).

[Transcription: A Sims 4 family named "Loden" with five Sims. The description reads: "Since Gammelvik's founding, there's always been a Koffiebook cafe, and it's always been the Lodens behind it. When it was her turn to run the business, Nora stepped in happily, but who will step in after her? Nora's daughter, Freya, never had much interest in inheriting the cafe, much preferring her deep love for dancing. Meanwhile, the younger son, Erik, shows a lot more aptitude for crafting with clays and paints than he does business. Now, Nora's feeling pressured to not disappoint the legacy of her late father and the many Lodens before him, even despite reassurances from her mama, Hattie. Thankfully, she has her wife Dahlia there to support her—and provide an escape or two through her critically acclaimed, titillating romance novels."]
My weird comment on this is that. I just had a feeling that Hattie was, 1. going to have a daughter and 2. that daughter would be gay married. So, that’s not just AN option to do for her, but, to me, THE option to do for her. So, kudos to the Sims team for matching my brain-cell on this.
The Lodens also apparently have an unmentioned-in-this-description feud with another family (can't be asked to look up their names; they run the candy-making business). I'm curious to learn what that's about. And if I should care.
I do hope that we'll get a "Nordhaven Secrets"-kinda thing like we've gotten for a lot of previous recent worlds, and we'll get to learn more about why the characters came here and stuff.
I’m probably going to take the ‘Lodens’ as part of Sims 2 Miniopolis when I add the Sims. I was already thinking it would be awfully weird for Gramma Hattie to just be there, alone. It just doesn't make much sense for her character. If I take the Lodens as her relatives… I won’t have to make up one myself!! Yay! :) Although… I have a feeling I might change them beyond recognizability lmao. This very much seems like a family that Hattie was added onto rather than one that is ABOUT her (which, I mean, she did marry in). The overall vibe of the rest of the Lodens don't really match Hattie's nor the city of Miniopolis either.
Unlike my last post, I’m not confused about why Gramma Hattie is in this pack. I mean, I kinda still am, but the pack as a huge focus on learning from your elders and, I mean, her name is Gramma Hattie for a reason. I get it. She wasn't a bad choice for this pack.
For her traits… she has Foodie (ok), Family-Oriented (…ok), and Idealist (new trait; sure!). Foodie does make sense, given the aforementioned +4 relationship gain from talking about cooking and the fact she talks about cooking with Dandelions, which implies that she's also very experimental with her cooking. Family-Oriented makes sense. I just think that there would be more... befitting? traits to give her. And Idealist seems fine. Obviously, I can't judge a trait if I don't know what it does
I also want to point out that Hattie only has a charisma skill of three... which seems awfully low for a political activist. I'm only complaining a little.
Anyways! My conclusion: I'm glad they're here (over not being here). I am probably sticking with the original texts for most of their characterizations (even within TS4), but I'll acknowledge the character developments. I hope some TS4 players get interested in learning about these old spin-offs from their inclusion. And finally, these are probably going to make these characters' tags... harder to navigate. Given, I don't think any of these characters are going to become popular TS4 premades, but I guess I'll see!
#ts4#urbz#crispin black#cannonball coleman#gramma hattie#what's up?#long post#ts4 news#<- if you have no interest in what's going in in ts4-land you can block that tag#it's kinda fun to judge what the ts4 devs have done for the urbz characters... i hope they do more#i have no idea if i'm going to play this pack when it releases#the gameplay features are MUCH more interesting to me than a lot of other recent packs#but why would i play ts4 when i have Rimworld :/#SimNews

The Importance of Interpretation
Reading a few Reddit threads reminded me of my thoughts on the writing of characters, events, and worldbuilding in TDP.
My main question: were some elements of the story intentionally designed to be flawed in order to tell us something about reality, or were they simply mistakes by the creators that we, the fans, read into something deeper?
A few examples, I hope I can explain well what I mean:
Ghosting in Moonshadow Elves's culture
As the author of this thread notes:
ghosting has significant logical flaws that can result in a threat to the community (if the ghosted person can return to the village, as Rayla did, then they can, for example, cause damage there, even under the influence of strong emotions related to exclusion or even revenge).
And now - is the functioning of this spell supposed to show us that in real life in various cultures there are permanently functioning customs/mechanisms that the community should really question instead of maintain? Or at least modify?
Or was the ghosting ritual invented for the purposes of the plot, without really delving into its operation any further than was necessary for the episode?
Janai and Karim
Was the prolonged decision-making about Karim meant to show us how difficult it is to pass judgment on a family member, even when it's clear he shows no signs of reforming and poses a real threat?
Or did the screenwriters simply fail to notice that the attitude they proposed for Janai might be perceived as somewhat inconsistent with her established characterization or even illogical, considering the circumstances?
Rayla tricks Callum
This is just one of the things the author of this thread mentions:
Is the fact that Rayla, instead of talking to Callum and finding some other solution, breaks into his office and steals the keys, and he doesn't immediately see it as a problem, a way to show that in relationships, we can sometimes, for various reasons, not notice the behavior of the other person that should make us wonder?
Or is it simply a questionable solution by the writers regarding this scene and it doesn't have a deeper message, because the characters somehow don't attach much importance to these events later?
Lujanne
Is the fact that Lujanne doesn't seem to have a problem at all (doesn't react to it in any way) with Claudia and Soren's appearance on the Cursed Caldera supposed to show that even people in positions of responsibility can fail to do their duty, let their guard down, or ignore a potential problem?
Or is it simply a ploy along the lines of "Since Lujanne took in the kids, she had no problem with their friends either, even if she's supposed to protect this place from people - let alone black magicians - so there's really no reason for her to even address the appearance of more people. Because they won't do anything bad, since they're friends of the kids."
Runaan
Does Runaan's accusation in In-Between of trying to kill Rayla show how much we can convince ourselves, under the influence of regret, guilt, and trauma, that we really wanted something?
Or is it simply an inaccuracy in the context of the creators' declaration that he would ultimately hesitate and not do it (i.e. despite such a declaration, he does not really want to take Rayla's life)?
These are just a few examples, but I hope they are enough to illustrate what I mean.
I really wonder about the issue of interpretation in the context of storytelling. Maybe this is what the most determines the fact that when it comes to solutions like the ones above some viewers praise TDP very much, while others complain about the writers' decisions?
(Of course, you can do both, but you know what I mean ;)
Any thoughts are welcome! I would be grateful for your point of view.

Character Introduction time!!
Still have not decided on a final design, but I’ve been putting off showing her for way too long! So here she is:
Tatiana
The main character of a story I’m trying to build, Tanya (as she’s also know) is a young woman trying to find hope for the future in her anxiety-riddled, yet bluntly mundane life. Living with her mother and younger sister who she feels do not quite get her, Tatiana tries to get a little something out of her free time before she finally swallows her demons and enrolls to an University.
From programming her way up to making her own videogame to toying with the family’s car and whatever other appliances don’t get much use, you couldn’t deny that she’s quite capable when it comes to the tech-side of things. Not that she thinks it’s anything worth noting as her mother insists that to be worth something you’d have to join some, at least respectable, University ASAP.
But besides the cold she feels at home, outside’s maybe even worse. She doesn’t have almost any real friends. Secondary school was rough, as it is for most, but paired with troubles at home and general sensitivity on her part, she’s still having a hard time recovering. A great reason for which she feel she isn’t ready for such a big change in her life, even if it may be for the better.
But anyway, she likes it or not, she’ll have to throw herself out there because by some ridiculous bullshit sci-fi magic that none shall explain, she ends up, while on a walk to do the shopping, in this ridiculous fantasy world in which she’ll finally feel like her skills might amount to something after all!
In short, in this parallel world she finds herself in, while technological advancements had taken place at some point, by events long gone, the society was massively set back and the knowledge that remains is guarded tightly and spread between few disciples across the world. In short, the people must stay blind and faithful… Yet here she comes, from lands unknown, with quite some knowledge on the mystical devices given by the gods, she must be some sort of messiah! Kinda’ puts some pressure on…
Here’s some themes I came up with:
^This is supposed to be her theme condensed along with the intro of the story
^the original theme I came up with at random that basically inspired this whole world. Should reflect the major religion governing this world as well as the looming threat of a great empire assimilating the surrounding “backwards” kingdoms (Will rework this)

Concept art for the world elements

And her. Seen in the second image, she is hiding from cult members who probably don’t mean well.
3 other variants. Would appreciate if you would let me know which of the 5 designs you like most for her (Personally I am fond of the two i posted first but still hard to decide…)

Aaaand the og worldbuilding concepts!
This world will be saved under the #CKnight tag!
AND ALSO if you have random question about/for her, my asks are open and they’d help me develop her!
#CKnight#soundwv#my art#concept art#art#digital art#worldbuilding#fantasy world#knight#diy music#character music#traditional art#oh sorry I am not double reading that I already spent so much time on it I do hope you like it and get the idea! i’ll show off some other-#-characters soon!#she’s my one blorbo for now

Been cooking my own tmnt iteration for a while, dunno how much will live anywhere but my brain but I wanna do some refs, so here's the turts!
I've been calling it Teenage Mutant Jazz Turtles or tmjt for short
If you care to hear some more you can peak under the cut
(More refs coming??? eventually I'm still stuck on some designs)
As the name implies, tmjt has more inspiration drawn from musical elements than combat elements. With the turtles not only living in a big ol' tour bus but also attempting to become a competent band after finding their magical instruments. But the ones they discover aren't the only ones out there, and some belong to some pretty nasty characters. (All the villains are gonna have a theme based on a different genre of music!)
The turtles travel and live with their dad (Splinter) and adopted sister (Casey). Originally just trying to survive but that kind of all changes when they accidentally interrupt a plan from the foot clan and not only discover some magical instruments that can turn into weapons, but also an entire world of monsters and creatures when they thought they were the only ones.
Leo is the oldest sibling, but despite this she struggles to be responsible for her siblings after her gender realizations caused a massive crack in her confidence. She's constantly self conscious of how others are perceiving her, even her own family in spite of their boundless support. She's always loved music, thanks to her dad, and dreams of being a singer, but because of how her mouth is built that's also an uphill battle. Her duel katanas can shift into a cello which can put opponents into a trance like sleep. While her given name was Leonardo, she's not sure what she wants to change it to, and simply goes by Leo for the time being. While she doesn't like to show her mouth, her teeth and jaw are powerful enough to bite through a steel knife.
Donnie is the second oldest (by just four days!) and is the one who stepped up to be in charge while Leo figures things out. He doesn't entirely mind the responsibility, though the pressure gets to him sometimes. Especially when Raph decides to criticize his decisions. They're very analytical and logical, their main passion being for mathematics which extends into some of the sciences as well such as physics. They know enough engineering to maintain the tour bus and build a few helpful devices such as their goggles or the calculator in their glove. Donnie puts his passion for math into music, using it to map out patterns for tunes (though not all of them sound good in the end). Their four eyes also have an additional lens to see heat signatures (and their dark vision is incredible). Donnie's clarinet allows him to create visual illusions.
Raph is the second youngest (by four days, Donnie constantly reminds him) and despite his appearance is one of the more level headed members of the family. You kind of have to learn how when your body could release gases that could paralyze your family members. Raph vents his frustration by either releasing gas that Donnie can convert into fuel for the bus or by writing poetry. Not that he ever lets the others read it, but he does put that skill into writing song lyrics. While he keeps cool and collected he still loves a good brawl, and will happily spar with anyone (usually Casey). He just leaves a lot of the destruction to his younger sibling, unless someone in his fam gets hurt, then the gloves are off. Raph is fiercely protective and will square up if someone so much as looks at one of his siblings funny, especially Leo. His high emotions are often why he and Donnie argue. Raph's trumpet can cause phantom pains in the skull, though he rarely has to use it give it how potent his gases can be.
Mikey, the youngest, is a tiny terror and he not only knows this, he takes great pride in it. Mikey enjoys causing chaos for the sheer joy of it, and enjoys it the most when Raph will simply hurl him at opponents for him to latch onto. Over the years he's learned to climb very well with his four arms, going up trees and buildings with ease which can make him very hard to chase after. Despite his love for trouble, however, he can be just as sweet, though his desire to do good deeds for his love ones can be a bit misguided at times (no Mikey you can't just rob the ice cream stand stop). Unfortunately as long as it keeps hiding behind Raph when the consequences happen, it may take some time to grow up (not that it has any interest in doing so right now). Mikey's drums allow him to create intense vibrations in the ground, enough to topple some buildings.
#sibillasart#sibillasocs#tmjt#tmnt#don't @ me about how the instruments look they are simple drawings#also yes each of their mutations are based on human senses#excited to draw trans he/him lesbian casey jones#also fyi splinter is a bat#Mikey has no sexuality flag not because it's straight but because it cannot be bothered to think about romance#Leo's my daughter who I'd kill seventy people for

Some replies about recent posting, but also FINALLY some general twst-related replies! Musing about possible birthday cards themes, talking about Lilia's seiyuu spicy past work, discussing Ace being a little loser, twst boys enjoying others' tears, some elements of draconian anatomy aaand some other stuff that I'm forgetting,

Sorry for bombarding your askbox with praise lately but I cannot help it. Your drawings are such treats to me LMAO
There's such few gidefellow in the world and I will gnaw on every fanart I see 💚
Never be sorry for that! Praise me more!! \owo/ Hehe thank you so much.
I am very happy you’re enjoying these two; I love drawing them a lot. It’s a shame they’re not more popular.

Every time you post a woman, I am reminded I am no better than a man. Thank you.
Thank you, Anon! And I’m sorry for making you feel that way 😭 I feel the same way when I draw them… love the ladies…

Well it's good that Epel is in the clear but I felt that he might despise Vil for using his family apple juice as the murder weapon that could lead to his family into trouble. Sometimes I feel like if that Vil murdered Neige happened, Epel might ended up being upset at Vil given how deeply care about his family and their farm and he use the apple juice for a contest that Vil wants to prove himself. Ironic how if Vil didn't try to attempt on that, he could have won given how votes are almost tied and would have earn more votes if he didn't overblot which would made the VDC members not exhausted from the fight as stated in chapter 6.
Yeah, Epel’s feelings regarding this whole situation is an interesting topic, it would probably take a lot of time for him to understand what was going on inside Vil’s head back then, if he ever would understand that. He might also never forgive him, and forget pretty much everything Vil had taught him, but also start antagonising all the “girly stuff” more because now he has this negative association.
It’s also interesting to think about what would’ve happened if Vil didn’t overblot… maybe they really would have won, but also maybe Vil was already too deeply into his own head and wouldn’t express the passion needed for Rook to give him the vote. But anyway, even Vil himself accepted that it was his fault that they didn’t win, and that his overblot really exhausted everyone and made the dance worse.

Thank you!... God it’s burning!!
Anonymous asked:
You are really spoiling us with legs and thighs ☺️💚 Thank you for all the arts you draw 🫡
As you've said before 'peak male performance' So true btw
This also made me think(and hope) about ショタ birthday cards. I mean, it could be a great birthday series for personal stories (for me at least). I can just imagine funny and wholesome moments lol.
Sorry for babbling in your askbox lmao. This is just me huffing on copium fumes 😭. But I think Yana would get it though 😂
Thank you so much, Anon <3 I really enjoy rendering legs and thighs lately hehe, I’m happy you like how it looks! It really is peak male performance…
Oh god, that theme for birthday cards would be insanely fun… and it’s not entirely unthinkable! Maybe I’m huffing on copium too, but I know Prince of Tennis mangaka did something similar once, and Yana used to be super into Prince of Tennis in her pre-Kuroshitsuji days, so who knows.
I just wanna see cute designs..!!

Hi, did you know Hikaru Midorikawa (Lilia's voice actor) voiced in a ridiculous amount of r18 bl drama cds both as uke and seme or are you normal? Anyway, for all the horny people out there, if you dig deep enough you can find dozens of them for free on old fujoshi blogs. This is the flilthiest and most absurd piece of knowledge I own and I had to share it with you thirsty weebs
Yes of course I know, Anon! I also know that he spent his active blcd years joined at the hip with Koyasu Takehito, so when we learned that he voices Sebek’s grandpa we completely lost it – this man follows him everywhere! Too bad they’re not a ship for us this time lol
So yeah, please, if anyone didn’t know about this, feel free to look it up, you should be able to stumble upon some interesting stuff.
Also also, Ace’s and Deuce’s VA also did a bl drama together a couple of years ago, and theirs was so popular that it broke some kind of record… because you know, woah, ADeuce fucking…
Anonymous asked:
I just wanna say how much I adore how you've made Ace a struggling failure of a top XD he just cannot catch a break ever and I LOVE it! Even when he does manage to make some progress (finally confessing to Deuce, kissing Epel) it's not satisfying (Rook popping in to ruin the mood, failing to make Deuce jealous). Please keep it up.
Thank you, Anon! <3 I love teasing Ace a little bit lol He has a lot of feelings and desires, and also a lot of inner conflict and wanting to look like he isn’t all that interested… One would say the universe would reward him for taking all those brave little steps, but somehow he really does always end up failing somehow… is it his karma for being a douche??
But honestly, I want to balance it up a little bit every now and then; I think even Ace-the-failure has his cool moments sometimes. Sometimes… But for every cool Ace moment there are a couple of moments of Ace wanting to be smooth but not being smooth at all.
It’s okay, he’s a baby top, he’ll learn…
Anonymous asked:
Azul would force his lover to deep throat his tentacles, just saying
Absolutely, Anon, that’s a fact, not even a question.
Anonymous asked:
I'm sure there's a lot of criers
Anyone who licks the the tears away and goes like "Hm, salty" or some shit
Absolutely, Anon.
I feel like every Octa-trio guy would do that lol Can’t quite put it past any of them. Azul, however, would drink his enemies’ (victims’) tears from a martini glass, he is more classy than those two~
I can also picture Lilia doing that, but to him it’s a much rarer occasion these days; he used to do it more often though…
Rook as well, but to him it wouldn’t be a malicious gesture, just a slightly creepy one. Whenever he sees someone crying, he genuinely wants to taste the saltiness…
And you know what? Jack. Even less malicious than Rook, just some intrusive thoughts winning over this pup’s mind. And his “Hm, salty” would sounds very earnest. Of course it’s salty, you silly…
thestarlightfae asked:
Do you think Malleus has nipples? He is a draconic fae. Dragon are famously reptiles which do not breast feed, and while I have admittedly not confirmed it I would assume that means they do not have nipples. So is it the same with Malleus? Maybe he tapes fake nipples on to blend in better with the humans 🤔 Food for thought!
You know it’s a good question because I know he probably shouldn’t, but I still can’t help but draw him with both nipples and a bellybutton. Like, Lilia is a different story, he is a bat and a mammal, but Malleus… on the other hand though, Malleus’ mom has boobs for some reason, so…
Now you made me think about Malleus having fake nipples noooo~ Maybe it’s magic.
Anonymous asked:
They say dragon have 2 dick. You make me think that malleus waste both his dick when he the bottom.
Exactly, Anon, this is the hot part!
I can’t believe I’ve never drawn Malleus with two dicks before… there is another character from another title that has two dicks (not officially, ofc, just a headcanon of ours), and he is a bottom to us as well, so Malleus should absolutely be drawn with two every now and then.
He could squeeze his man’s dick with his two swords, you know…

Part One: What we know
When exactly the rebels in the Capitol began gathering is unknown to us. We know there has been an undercover group “for several years” aiming to overthrow the Capitol (CF, 27). We also learn about Plutarch’s plans during the 10th Anniversary Interview, where Collins mentions that a tribute at the centre of the rebellion had been a plan for at least a decade, and hopes had been centered around candidates such as Finnick (SC).
There is no further information on when the underground group came into being, but we learn about several of their members, including Plutarch, Cinna, Tigris, Cressida, as well as her remaining team. We rightfully can speculate on Portia being included, too.
As this is my favourite element of the series to contemplate on, I have put together a timeline that paraphrases my own thoughts!
Part Two: My own speculation
50 ADD: Haymitch’s Games as the spark for the rebellion
A young intern Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee works at his first Hunger Games; the second Quarter Quell. He is a direct witness to Haymitch's rebellious act and the Capitol's successful attempt to undermine it through direct action against the victor and potentially manipulating future footage of the Games. To Plutarch, this is the beginning of a rebellious act. Potentially, friends and family had already been lost to the mad king, but maybe the events of the 50th Games included more loss. Had someone powerful not dimmed, but brightened Haymitch's spark, maybe a rebellion could have ensued. Painted by injustices that the mad king had done to the people within the Capitol, and a belief that democracy serves Panem better, Plutarch begins to think about rebellion as a riddle: How could one end the tyranny?
50 ADD/51 ADD: Haymitch’s victory tour
Without a mentor, Haymitch needs company for his victory tour. Plutarch volunteers. This is his attempt to befriend, and eventually recruit, Haymitch to join his idea of an underground movement.
Mid 50s: Plutarch recruits Caesar Flickerman
Among the first people he recruits is Caesar Flickerman, whose feelings on the Capitol have made a 180 ever since he began to work closely with the tributes. As his job is to work close with tributes and mentors, Caesar is the perfect person to recruit and stay in contact with victors, as well as manipulate the viewership to pay close attention to a potential candidate. Over the years, they become close friends.
Late 50s/Early 60s: More allies join the rebellion
Victors such as Chaff, Beetee, and Lyme begin to join the rebellion. Within the Capitol, Plutarch recruits people such as Tigris—who he met as early as his intern years—to join their forces. They consider an escape to District 13 as their plan begins to take further shape. Most rebels only know of a few allies as to not compromise the mission.
Mid 60s: Searching for a Spartacus
As resources grow and a plan becomes realistic, Plutarch begins to look out for potential candidates. Several fail in the arena, and others do not spark a rebellion as he had hoped.
Plutarch establishes himself as a Head Gamemaker to have a stronger influence on future Games and their Gamemakers, as well as becoming a trusted advisor to Snow.
[The events of my fanfiction ‘She smelled like white roses’ take place here, where Plutarch befriends, falls in love with, and recruits Virgilia Snow, the wife of the President]
Late 60s: Reaching out to District 13 and recruiting more allies
Plutarch finds life in District 13, making his plan to escape to 13 even more viable. He also recruits people such as Cressida and Cinna, the latter who is an aspiring designer and promises to jump in on last notice to a potential District.
Cinna’s role in the rebellion is to wait for a potential candidate, and aid in their appearance before the Games. He has prepared several designs for several Districts.
74 ADD, 74th Reaping Day
Katniss’ volunteering brings hope to a stagnant underground movement. Several things are set into motion, including replacing District 12’s stylist with Cinna on very short notice.
74 ADD, Pre-Games
Katniss notes that a Gamemaker keeps watching her. As Plutarch reveals later that he was present during the score evaluation (CF, 6), we can theorise he might have watched her during the training days as well (THG, 7). It can be theorised that Plutarch was, in part, responsible for Katniss high score. Secretly wishing to give her attention and a fighting chance, he might have pretended to be offended and wanting to punish her. In addition, he might have advocated to include a bow and arrow 'to make the Games more interesting' if one had not been included prior.
Caesar as a potential ally might have spoken to Haymitch about Peeta's plan and, in turn, asked Peeta about a love back home as well as encouraging Katniss to spin her dress. The interviews work perfectly in favour of the rebellion.
74 ADD, The 74th Games
I assume that the rebels, specifically Plutarch and Virgilia Snow, convinced Seneca to perform a rule change. Seneca, in hopes to continue as a Head Gamemaker for the third Quarter Quell, would have been more willed to impress President Snow. The rule change might have always been a temporary idea, withdrawn at the last minute for maximum entertainment.
74 ADD, Post-Games
Katniss excels far beyond what the underground movement might have hoped for. The early waves of rebellion grow fast, leaving the rebellion to try and set into motion Plutarch’s return to Head Gamemaker status—a process aided by someone close to the President; his wife Virgilia.
Shortly after the end of the 74th Games, the plans for the 75th arena’s layout begin.
75 ADD, The Victory Tour and the Quarter Quell announcement
By the time that Katniss arrives at the Capitol for her victory tour, the flames of rebellion have grown ever further. Plutarch only needs to fuel them and get the main part of the rebels to 13. Many have questioned the extent of the rebellion's plans when he speaks to her.
When Plutarch mentions that "arenas aren't built in a day" (CF, 6), it is unlikely that he directly refers to the process of building arenas. Instead, his words mirror the sentiment that "Rome wasn't built in a day", thus potentially indicating that the rebellion, and the idea of rebellion, needs time to grow.
In addition, a general assumption is that Plutarch did, at that time, not intend for the Quarter Quell to exist in the shape it came to exist. A quote used in favour of this interpretation is that he later stated that "I never dreamed you'd be a tribute again" (CF, 27). This is similar in the movie, where the Quarter Quell premise was only changed after Gale's whipping which occurs after the victory tour.
While it is therefore true that the rebellion had not yet influenced the Quarter Quell premise, it does not indicate that this was not Plutarch's plan all along, simply that he had not yet had the opportunity to adjust the Quarter Quell to his liking.
75 ADD, Post Quarter Quell announcement
Plans are brought into motion, final arrangements with District 13 are being made. The rebels are finally seeing their plans brought to life.
Cinna begins his design plans for Katniss’ mockingjay suit and hands them to Plutarch shortly before the beginning of the Quarter Quell.
The victors are informed about the final plan of the Quarter Quell right before its start, and only in the extent necessary for each individual victor. They learn about the bread code and several plans are laid out that Katniss can escape; the lightning tree not being the sole solution. I assume there are several plans as the bread code changes from four days (without Beetee) to three days (with Beetee). It would also be surprising if Plutarch didn’t have a plan B up his sleeves.
Lastly, I take it that the destruction of the arena was not truly necessary, as hovercrafts get in and out all the time (with or without the help of an inside source). Plutarch might simply have favoured the metaphor of a physically destroyed arena.

Meet Aislinn - Soriel Fanchild
>Please do not re-post or use my work in any way without my permission! Re-blogging is ok. Thanks!<
(CHARACTER INFO BELOW!)
My "first" art post of the year! Honestly, this kind of art is something I always shied away from making, at least regarding posting it online… but, I guess here we are! Nothing wrong with going into the new year trying out something new. Allow me to introduce to you, Aislinn! She is my attempt at an Undertale fankid for Toriel x Sans (because yes, Soriel is amazing and I love it so much).
The concept of this character actually dates back years ago as a little collaboration between me and a family member. I never was planning to make her known about, but during Soriel Week 2023 (so back in August), I decided why not? Thus, I started updating her design and did a sketch. However, during that time Soriel Week 2023 was ending and I got too busy until I eventually forgot about this kiddo. That is, until a few days ago when I got inspired by that same family member and decided “you know what, sure let’s just do this for fun”! So yeah, here she is!
I did have fun drawing/designing her, but I also think it is a little bit tricky when creating fan characters because, at least for me, I want them to feel like a natural inclusion to the world they are supposed to be from. I think overall I did good though at this goal!
Anyways, if you are interested in hearing more about her character, the family/story dynamics, and my design process, then keep on reading! Otherwise, I think she turned out cute and this was a fun little project to work on! I wouldn’t be opposed to drawing her again or even with other family members, but I think it will ultimately depend on if people would want to see that. Oh, and if you have any questions about her you want to ask that I don’t have answered below, then feel free to ask me! C:
🤍💙💜🤍💙💜 So… if you are reading this, then you are wanting to learn more, yeah? Well, buckle up because boy do I have a lot to share! Does Aislinn exist within an AU/alternate timeline? Well, I feel it would be more appropriate to consider her inclusion as being part of an alternative timeline because it’s more so my head canons/my take on a possibility of what could happen after the events of a pacifist timeline if Toriel and Sans end up together. Like, there isn’t anything drastically changed to what we know from canon other than me throwing some head canons into a pacifist timeline, so it feels incorrect to me to call it an AU. Do I have a name then for this alternate timeline? I guess if anything, you could consider her inclusion as a follow up to the stories/events told in my other Undertale alternative timeline, Scrapbooktale. Why the name Aislinn? Why not use a font for her name? Well, technically if you google “Aislinn font”, there is a font that I think fits her pretty well. But basically, Aislinn’s name means “dream or vision”, which I felt tied back to things in Undertale like “hopes and dreams” (Asriel) and just how like I feel that with monster kind being freed, they are able to pursue their dreams. Toriel and Sans are both shown to be very family-oriented, so why wouldn’t a possible dream of theirs be to extend their family? That’s where my inspiration came from. Her nicknames are Linn and Linny. Does she speak using a font like Sans and Papyrus? Nope. More information regarding your design process for her?
So going into more details regarding her physical design, her head and part of her neck is completely bone like Sans and her hands are also skeletal. The only thing on her face that has fur is her little floofy eyebrows! The rest of her body is more like Toriels. She wears a big, green headband/bow as I decided that I wanted to give her some sort of visual element that would give the illusion of ears. I knew that I wanted to give her horns, but instead of just giving her horns that look like what Toriel has, I thought it would be cool to give her horns that resemble Sanses Gaster Blasters. Her eyes in shape are more like her moms, but they are just more so glowing pupils like Sans has (or in her case, glowing ring lights). Her eye color has a slight blue tint to it as I was inspired by Toriel’s official Nendroid design, which has blue eyes. One of Aislinn's most treasured items is her gold flower hair clip that was given to her by Frisk. She always keeps it clipped on her favorite headband/bow.
How old is she? How tall is she?
I find it hard to give an exact age for her because how monsters age is a bit… unknown in terms of canon? But if I had to give her some sort of age, Aislinn is 5 years old, and I think Frisk would be roughly 14 years old around this time. As for her height... well she is just a lil kiddo, so of course she is rather short! I imagine when she gets older though, she would be taller than Frisk. What is her personality? Likes and Dislikes?
Aislinn is cautious and sometimes can come off as shy. While she loves her family, their antics definitely freak her out from time to time.
She is very polite thanks mainly to Toriel. Sans tries to loosen her up a bit, but it is something Aislinn just can’t help!
She tends to keep to herself.
She can be very curious and playful, but won’t do anything that she deems unsafe (unless convinced). Because of her age though, she still struggles with understanding sometimes what is actually considered safe and unsafe.
Her favorite color is green, and her favorite food is snail pizza.
Some of her hobbies include playing with her toy trumpet, drawing, reading and hearing stories, and playing/hanging out with Frisk.
She likes puns and jokes. However, she is terrible at making them.
Aislinn dislikes fighting and dangerous situations. She also does not enjoy getting super messy.
Aislinn and Frisk's Relationship
Aislinn idolizes Frisk. Even though she has a hard time understanding them sometimes (especially regarding all the shenanigans Frisk seems to get into) Aislinn still thinks that Frisk is the coolest person in the world. She loves hearing about Frisk’s adventures, especially the ones of their time Underground. Even though Frisk has a hard time understanding kids close to their age or younger, they still enjoy hanging out with Aislinn and sometimes envy her naïve nature. When Aislinn was a baby, though initially excited, Frisk ended up having a hard time of feeling like the "lesser child" since they are adopted and struggle with self worth. Luckily, thanks to Sans and Toriel, Frisk began to learn over time that they are just as loved and cared for as Aislinn. Though sometimes, they may fall back into this mindset. On the other hand, Aislinn sometimes feels like she isn't good enough compared to Frisk. After all, she is the sibling of the human who changed history by freeing monster kind! Aislinn and Frisk really do love each other though at the end of the day. Aislinn and Sanses Relationship
I am someone who head canons that Sans raised Papyrus and later on helped to raise Frisk after marrying Toriel. By the time Aislinn comes into the picture, Sans is a natural at the whole dad thing... or at least, he likes to hope so. For Sans, it definitely helps to have such a cool wife by his side and to have a kid this time around who is a lot more chilled out. Sans finds that raising Aislinn has actually been way easier than raising Papyrus, and especially Frisk mainly due to Aislinn staying out of trouble. That being said, Sans sometimes worries that he is not doing enough with Aislinn considering how much he seems to be keeping an eye on Frisk, because wow that kid is always getting into trouble and next thing he knows he is asking "uh kid, how did you end up flooding the bathroom... again"? He does make an effort though to make sure that Aislinn knows that he cares for her, and he tries to set aside time from all of the commotion around the house just for her. Though Aislinn is terrible at telling joke, Sans will always be proud at her attempt to tell one. Sans is the one who got Aislinn into trying out a musical instrument (her toy trumpet). He also came up with her nicknames Linn and Linny. Sans will call her baby bones, just as he did for Papyrus and still does for Frisk.
Aislinn and Toriel's Relationship
Aislinn really looks up to Toriel with how she presents herself. Graceful, polite, elegant, and sometimes just goofy. While Sans may be stuck watching Frisk all the time from almost doing god knows what, Toriel is the one who makes sure to keep more of an eye on Aislinn. Toriel enjoys teaching Aislinn things throughout the day, such as "72 uses for snails". Aislinn loves it when Toriel reads her stories, even if sometimes she does not understand what the heck is even going on in said story. When it comes to needing emotional support, Aislinn will usually go to Toriel first.
Aislinn's Magic Her magic consists of fire magic that is shaped like bones (so instead of a typical fire ball, it’s a “fire ball” that is bone shaped)! She has no blasters like Sans, nor can she teleport like he does. She can however use dark blue magic (gravity manipulation) like Sans. She can only use this magic to make someone still for a small amount of time. She cannot use this magic to push or move anyone. Aislinn also has the ability to use green (healing) magic, but is not really good at it. The most she can heal is up to 0.5-1hp, but over time as she gets older and learns her magic better, she will be able to heal just as well as Toriel does! At her current age, Aislinn's magic is still pretty weak and she is still learning how to use it properly.
🤍💙💜🤍💙💜
PHEW! Ok, I think that is all the main information I wanted to cover. But yeah, if you have any questions or want to learn more, then please feel free to ask! 💜

hey can u give some tips for a beginner ambigrammist to refine her ambigrams and make the process easier?
i'll just put what ive learned from others and my own experience (i kinda put a lot so imma put it all under a read more)
1. you need to really know what letters look like
one of the talents an ambigrammist needs is to know the details of what makes a letter a letter, and what strengthens or weakens this reading. for example:
on the right are what i would say are very readable letters, almost instantly recognizable. on the left however are essentially the same letters, but missing the core elements of what makes them them. i recommend looking at fonts if you really want to fully understand, but as long as you know the glyphs, you can ambigram them!
additionally, there are so many other forms to choose from. we're all used to the simple, elementary alphabet we were taught, but there is a vast sea of different forms of letters you can try! things such as style, form, and mutations if done correctly will look cohesive in a design! experiment with cursive, square, fancy, blackletter, capitalization, italicization, the world is possible! for example, here are the many ways to write an r that i've collected:
14!!
14 for the LETTER R ALONE. the modifications may be subtle, but in the world of ambigramming where totally legible ambigrams are far and few between, every possible form counts bc you'll have more options at your disposal to choose from. as you see more ambigrams (and trust me, you probably will), you'll learn more about what's possible with them!
2. get feedback!!
the unique thing about ambigrams is theyre made to be seen by others, to be read and gawked at by onlookers, and so any outside feedback means the world to development. let family members, friends, preferreably people that mostly read normal words, try to read them, if they missed any letters, try and improve it. reiteration and tiny modifications help so much, even the tiniest of changes can help. sometimes we may be tunnel-visioned into thinking our ambigram is legible, because we know the word already, we see what it's supposed to look like. but when you get opinions from others, its almost like getting a new perspective, the ambigrammists equivalent of flipping a canvas. there are also communities dedicated to creating good ambigrams out there! (to name some, Ambigram Aficionados the discord server and ambigr.am the website, both of which are linked if you want :3)
3. know the methods!!
there are two main methods that ambigrammists "officially" recognize, downstroke matching, and shape matching
shape matching
this is the more freeform of the two methods, providing more space to do whatever, and thusly, maybe come up with either cool new stuff or bad new stuff. this matches "shapes" of letters, straight, curvy, half curve, spirally, etc etc. this one takes more experience to master, but if done well works wonderfully. heres an example with "greener"
(hey, look! weird R from earlier!)
downstroke matching
is one of the easier of the two, and most often than not yields the best results. in essence, letters are broken down into their vertical strokes, which are then "cut in half" and aligned to each other. this comes from the notion that people read the top parts of a letter more than its undersides. so, when flipping, all that crazy stuff that used to be on the top is now on the bottom, becoming flourishes and designs. this is kind of a precursor to shape matching, as if pretending all letters are squarish before actually taking into account their shape. an example with the word "Basket" would be:
this of course, has its downfall in curvy letters like b and o, as these have specific curves to follow, which may get lost in how strokes are made straight. i got lucky here with the e curving the same way the B would normally, but this isnt always the case.
the best ambigrammists tend to find a good balance between the two, making sure both form and style are as optimized as possible!
finally,
4. not all ambigrams are possible*.
*as a normal rotational
unfortunately, jojo, hello, uwu, and many more words aren't (currently) possible just because of how theyre built at words. so don't be disappointed if some seem impossible, because (like chloe *wink wink*) they might just be. you can then resort to different types of ambigrams, or different modifications!
here jojo works okay as a lake, uwu works perfectly and naturally as a mirror, and chloe and hello work as chain rotationals! another somewhat crucial element of making an ambigram work is flourishes. these help hide the modifications made to a letter, almost like camouflage, or even to hade a letter itself. here are some examples:
this one uses a curvy flourish for the hoops of the Ps, tiny dots for the i tittle and the Es midline, and a bit more flourishes to hide them like serifs and extra curves

this one turns a C into a drawing of a cockatoo! the flourish being the cockatoo, hiding the otherwise awkward C
this one's rather extreme, S and e being turned into flourishes. these are then surrounded by more flourishes to hide them, which works semi-okayly
thats all i think i know about ambigramming, i hope it was semi-useful!

5 & 10 for the s/i asks!
- @freakkisser (i keep forgetting what my new username is)
Thanks guys!! <3 2 – Is your S/I more on the loner side or are they a social butterfly? Are there any other characters that are dear to them other than your F/O? Aro is very much a shy introvert and isn't one for socializing. She only has a few close friends and loves them dearly, but if she showed affection towards anyone else, Rire would quickly put a stop to it. He gets jealous. 4 – Which of the elements best represents your S/I? Which of their aspects does it resonate with? (e.g.: their personality, astrology sign, powers, etc) I guess this means fire air earth and water? I think of Aro as being water. She's generally easygoing and goes with the flow, but her anxiety can make her stormy, like waves crashing against rocks. 5 – Is there any symbolism within your S/I's design that usually goes unnoticed? (e.g. colors in their outfit that reflect their personalities, their favorite flower and it's meaning, etc) Haha there's very little thought in Aro's design except that she vaguely looks like me. She wears green and blue 'cause they're my favorite colors. Also, her colors are muted to contrast with Rire's golden eyes. 9 – Is every day a brand new experience for your S/I? Are they more routine oriented? Or are they trapped in a loop? If so, have they noticed it or not? How do they deal with their living situation?
Sometimes Aro feels like she's trapped in a loop...or maybe that's just Rire messing with her mind...she's starting to forget what her life was like before she ever met him. Luckily she has some friends and a stubborn attitude to slow her inevitable descent into madness~ 10 – What was the scariest moment of your S/I's life? Did it change any aspect of their being or were they just emotional for a brief period of time over it? Aro's life has been a waking nightmare ever since she met Rire. Even when he's not physically present, she feels his eyes on her and she never knows when he's going to come back. She's not afraid of pain or even death, but she is terrified of Rire hurting her friends or family members.

Anyways, a few posts after my past sprite edits of the final designs for As Thin As Paper. Here's more.
Content warning for blood and such, which y'all probably already know if you've been keeping up with my As Thin As Paper posts
Tretone:
Basically yeah, sense Tretone had 2-3 stages(if you count being fucking dead as a stage) of appearance, I thought it would be interesting if the bugs and glitches would mix up the sprites. Resulting in a painful sensation of being ripped apart, limp from limb. Since he's a Crevon and those are basically just demons, I would like to think he would survive this. Keeping a spell on his heart, which is the whole note on fire on the concept art, to keep it going and trying to keep his body together so that he could survive and potentially overcome the corruption. With his design, it's pretty obvious it didn't work. And that's pretty much the effect the bugs and glitches had on him. It was pretty fun to draw.
Here's the 6th chapter boss, with the idea of by the end of chapter 5, you would have been chased down to Sphaiano Spire. He would really have one of the least appearances in his particular chapter, mainly because of his size compared to the doors and such of the spire. Maybe being able to send down a spell or two, or maybe trying to grab at you. Basically this chapter will be like those early gen pokemon gyms before the gym leader, especially the gyms that have more than the members as obstacles in the maze.
Antagon:
This boy has EMOTIONAL DAMAGE.
Okay jokes aside, this is technically idea 2 for Antagon and Antagamom. Originally I had it where Antagamom was the one alive, with her flames turning her into a bear because she's like a "mama bear" in the original game, and the one grieving the other's death with her holding her son's heart and crown(?) thing. The whole idea of them was just "Why don't I make this family grieve". But sense I didn't really like the design I did for Antagamom, I decided to swap them and make Antagon the alive one. Taking inspiration from Onion Cookie from the game Cookie Run Kingdom, where he has a plushie(that looks like the fire element on the cards) that's possessed(by his mom) and his tears make him cry more.
Practically what happened to him was that, since he and his mom are Torchkin, I would imagine the bugs and glitches would change their fire into real fire. With his mom being burned to ashes, and Antagon almost fully burning away until Duskkar "helped" him by somehow stabilizing the flame and his body. It didn't take away the pain of the flames though. Now, under the belief that Duskkar could help his mom, he's basically just wandering around looking for her(either for each piece of ash or maybe in his hopeful heart maybe her actual body that he hopes there is a slight chance of not having been burned up fully). Sad shit times.
Sense he isn't really aggressive, with unintentionally hurting others with his tears and fire, chapter 7 isn't really that dangerous. In fact Antagon is gonna be a part of your party while you're in this chapter, since he thinks you're gonna help him find his mom, with a small random chance of him accidentally hurting you and your "party" during the random encounters. It's kinda like one of those "Bring something somewhere" missions(I forgot the actual term ATM). By the end of Chapter 7, you will find Duskkar, who will scare Antagon to not be around you and use Antagon to battle you. From inspiration of a drawing I rebloged by @theothergueck , Duskkar would basically use Antagon as a flamethrower; covering one of your options during random times, hurting Antagon to get more flames, etc and etc. to end this battle, you got to attack Duskkar until he's at half health, Kill Antagon(if you're going for a genocide route), or "passify" Duskkar somehow.
Lanter:
Basically, I had no idea better than this design. Had the thought of a sort of headless horseman, with his head being able to come off, along with being chained like "The One Who Waits" from The Cult of Lamb. Yeah this is definitely one of the designs where it's obvious I was losing steam for the concept arts.
Basically, he and Duskkar were some of the first people that the Bugs and Glitches targeted. Seeing his cousin being turned into a monster with the bugs and glitches amplifying his shown negative traits, Lanter tried to stop Duskkar. This led to a battle, where; Duskkar won, took Lanter's light in his pumpkin head, and chained his cousin to the room where you originally saw 1x/Tess in the original game. After a while of pulling and tugging at the chains, the chains still held but the ground that the chains were connected to pooped off. Once freed, while Duskkar's "help" to the others had no care in it, Lanter at least tried to make things better whenever he tried to help the others. Like when he Sewed Back together an orange haired girl that was torn to shreds.
While he does have a chapter, which is like chapter 10, he will appear throughout the game as a harmless merchant. Where you can buy some cards, weapons, tips, and healing items, and you can sell him some stuff too. By the time you get to his chapter, his chapter will be adorned with certain stuff you sold to him. Especially his battle. Practically, you're setting the difficulty of his chapter when selling certain items. Not every item, but specific items like certain weapons or something.

Okay, eons ago I threatened another npc dynamics post by asking the populace whom they'd like to see next and then I. never got around to the post even though Vector won by a landslide and I do already have that dynamic pretty well-figured out. BUT. Better late than never, right? (Seriously, it's a little embarrassing how long this thing has been sitting in my drafts at this point.)
I still, ideally, would love to get through. everyone on that list and maybe branch through some others, but. For now, let's just set my sights on finishing what I half-promised, lol.
This does, naturally, involve spoilers for the Imperial Agent storyline, which should all be contained underneath the cut. <3
So, Vector is one of Tyr's most consistent and reliable companions and support structures. They're probably the one member of his crew Tyr never feels a particularly strong need to doubt the intentions and motivations of and he's incredibly vital to keeping Tyr grounded to his own ideals.
He's inquisitive and a kind of compassionate that's hard to find in the realm of intelligence work, which also means he's really the only member of Tyr's crew to know anything about the agent's past prior to being a Cipher from his own lips. Vector I think sees him for at least most, if not all elements of what he is: a bit of a bleeding heart in addition to Cipher Nine.
And they worry about him, about how thin the line of balance he treads is. Tyr isn't able to tell him everything about what he goes through - both by inherent design of the Castellans function and the orders he operates under them with and for the way Tyr carries that trauma, but he's comfortable being a kind of honest with Vector that he doesn't really have anywhere else to place. In Vector, he can confide his growing disillusionment with the Empire (though Tyr makes some effort to spare him from the harsher edges of his broken faith, as he still sees something of a patriot in Vector and doesn't want to compromise the budding alliance for the Killiks) as well as personal worries like Shara and the mounting pressures of her operating as Keeper of Operations, of the tempestuous status of Imperial Intelligence going back into the reignited war, about Intelligence as his family. Around him, some of those walls can come down, at least for a time.
Chapter Three is... rough. By the end of it all, there's times Tyr doubts his trust in even Vector - not for any fault or action of Vector's own doing, but because Tyr's painfully stripped of any kind of support and backing he did have and facing a particular precarious position with the Dark Council about his ongoing service as an intelligence asset. Bitterly, this is one of the several elements where Tyr realizes that Hunter kept his promise - the Cabal took everything from him, except his life, in the end. The people he called family in Intelligence are scattered in reassignments, if they survive the fallout at all, whatever faith he had in working inside a system for change and improvement is battered, and Tyr's worried about trusting his own people because he is a defector, all but physically. A traitor. Sometimes, it's really less about trusting any of his crew as it is not wanting to take them down with him. The Empire isn't particularly well-known for leaving survivors and he knows, believes too strongly that all of them would be viewed as complicit regardless of their true feelings about his alliance with Ardun Kothe.
But Vector is ever-reliable and still always one of the first that's really looking out for him - him. One of the few that directly asks him is this what you want? Is Tyr if not happy, at least at peace with his decisions? Are they true to him?
And, yes, even with Tyr's own growing reservations about the Empire, he does hold his tongue when it comes to counsel about allying the Killiks with the Empire. Tyr sees they believe in it, genuinely, and doesn't have the heart to rob that kind of hope from one of the few people he would consider a dear friend. They are of the same mind that the Empire could benefit from different allies, from different perspectives, but Tyr's not particularly certain it's a solid decision for the Killiks in the long-run. Still, he has Vector's back the whole way, and he's never entirely unaware of the agent's thoughts, as much as he tries to soften what words Vector does coax him to use on the matter.
He's got a kind of patience that is extremely soothing and beneficial to Tyr. Truly, if the man ever needed anything, he'd only need to ask and Tyr would move hyperlanes for him to make it happen. Many years later in the Alliance, it's a relief to know one of his best friends is still safe. He regrets that he ended up right in the end about a fate of an Imperial-Killik alliance, but there was never any question to Tyr about working with him again. They remain one of the few that can see through Tyr's colors with relative ease, and one of the few that can slow him down enough to actually talk about and process it all.
And there's... a whole crush Tyr had on Vector (and probably still has) that he's never done anything with that Vector seems largely unaware of, or at least has never mentioned. Neither of them have brought it up and all these years on, Tyr's just glad to have his company as a friend. Most of it likely comes down to Tyr's other relationships - first with Shara and then with Theron Shan, both relationships he was/is happy in. And, of course... Chapter Two made them pretty busy with other problems.
Him and Vector are really fun to write... I really need to do some more with them. They're confidants, they're friends, allies... He's one of the few people Tyr would trust to search the ends of the galaxy for him, if he asked, and they're someone Tyr can trust secrets and confessions to. Vector encourages him to remember himself as something more than just a Cipher and follow his heart, his ideals to what he truly believes is right, and that's a friendship and counsel you can't find just anywhere, especially in intelligence work.

Check-In at Ruthieland
Yandere Park Staff + G.N Reader
Summary: A gift from the park's mascot leads to an unexpected surprise
Warnings: None/Slight horror elements
Word Count: 3.4k
The mug shaped candy has merged with its wrapping by the time you pick it up.
Almost two weeks since your last annual visit to Ruthieland – the remaining tickets left tucked in their envelope and stored in a secure location. Your encounter with the park's main mascot repeats are the only thing you can retell vividly from that day, yet it all still feels like a dream. Ruthie hasn’t been seen in person since you were a kid for reasons even you were in the dark about. Why were they bringing him back now?
Beloved Showrunner Ruthie Hare makes a comeback in time for the reopening of hotel.
That seemed like reason enough. The article pops up in your news feed while browsing online, the hare's buck tooth grin catching you off guard enough for you to drop your phone on your face. Recovering from the sting, you skim over the letter and from what you read Ruthie had been seen in lesser populated areas of the park gifting the same candies he gave you to random families with park staff informing them to keep hold of them. The park's office social media page has almost just released news that every person giving a candy would be invited to the grand reopening of their main hotel.
So that’s why Ruthie gave you the candy. Since you hadn’t seen him since you were a kid, the costume probably just looked stranger than you remembered, or went through a design change. What about that note he gave you? “Somebunny likes you.” It could be that one of the park attendants has developed a thing for you giving your constant visits, but was too shy to approach in person and managed to pull a few strings for you. Anything was possible, but the conclusion allayed your concerns well enough for the idea of a vacation to sound appealing. If things continued to work in your favor then maybe the park's recluse owner would show their face again, and you'd get to see an old friend one more time.
-
The information for the contest comes within the following week. A week long stay at the refurbished hotel with all expenses paid, and general admission to the park for each day of your stay. A couple signatures and all is set for your departure. The date of the trip was only a few days away by the time everything was in order, your belongings packed the night before. The brochure included in your mail gave details of a shuttle leaving for the hotel from the usual pick up location at 7am; two full hours before opening. You arrive a quarter before, and are surprised to see only one other person waiting. The others possibly drove, or were running closer to the assigned schedule. Someone off to your side whisper shouts to their companion.”
“I told you they'd be here.- Y/n, hey, over here!”
Drawing your attention to their ambush, you barely have time to react as your assailant rushes you and smothers you in the fuzzy sleeves of their oversized coat. As she lets you go and picks up her suitcase thrown aside in her sprint, you find the woman to be none other than the park attendant responsible for the theft of your ticket stubs, Ell. Two others catch up with her. Atlas, the head of security, and someone you aren't sure you're familiar with. A medical mask obscures the lower half of their face and a baseball cap makes up for the rest. The former two were frequent faces you'd see around the park, and people you considered friends for the most part.
“Ell? Atlas? What are you doing here?”
Atlas shoots a side eye at Ell. “Someone managed to get their hands on some of the prize candies when it was mentioned in a meeting that staff members weren't eligible to win.”
“They never said anything about coming in on a day off. If they had a real problem with it, we wouldn't even be here. Everyone knows the park's royalty was bound to win, and I believe I speak for all of us when I say getting to spend some time with them on vacation is too good to pass up.”
Atlas chokes on his tongue; lips wired shut as his brain attempts to come up with a cognate reply. He looks around for a way out, eyes landing on your bag and the transport pulling up to dock.
“Heh- would you look at that? The bus is here. Those look heavy, Y/n. I'll carry those up for you. ‘Cuse me”
Atlas squeezes past the two and snatches up your bags as he heads towards the bus. Ell throws an arm over the other member of their party.
“Anyway- despite popular belief it wasn’t me who took the candies. Found this thief with a couple in their bag and they offered me one to keep quiet. Then Atlas found us out and we had to bribe him for the same prize.”
The stranger tugs on the strings of their hoodie. “I'm not a thief…. Like you said earlier, Y/n was likely to win, and I wanted to see them more than just once a month.”
Their voice is muffled by the face guard, but you recognize that tone. “Cass?”
They make eye contact with you for the first time that morning - before immediately looking away. “hi, Y/n.”
Ell stares at them puzzled. “You have an actual name? Why have we been calling you-"
“Let's go, guys! It's ten past seven.”
Atlas slaps on the side of the bus to get his point across. Ell and Cass toss their bags in the undercarriage and follow you on the bus. The exterior is different from the typical pink decal and mascot characters acting out different scenes depending on the vehicle. Instead, the paint job had been switched to solid white with a streak of red around the middle like a bow and the silhouette of Ruthie's head acting as the ribbon. You stare at it for a while, the trance broken by Cass bumping into you.
“sorry…”
“It's alright. Go on ahead.”
Cass hesitates, but moves on ahead to avoid conflict. They stand at the back of the bus, waiting to see where you sit. Being the last one on board, Ell shoves you into the closest available seat right behind Atlas and sits beside you. Cass takes the bench from across you.
Atlas is the first to strike up conversation- despite Ell being right over your shoulder. “Hey, Y/n. I've been meaning to ask you, how exactly did you win lifetime tickets to Ruthie's?”
“That’s right- your family moved you away after they heard about the field trip. It was a contest in elementary where we had to write a letter explaining what we'd do if we won tickets to the park. That’s how I met Cass actually. They deliver the tickets. I still don't know how I won.”
Ell butts in. “Maybe it's because you’re besties with the owner. What’s their name again? Wayne?”
“Wyatt. We didn’t really know each other well because their dad kept them at home, but the few times we hung out was nice. They stopped showing up to class shortly after the trip, but the other kids would joke that they had a crush on me.”
“Imagine that.” Atlas leans against the bus window, watching the buildings go by; fingers snaking up to the skin beneath his eye. “I still loved that place, even after what happened.”
Before you can say more, the bus hits a speed bump which sends you flying backwards into the seat. Recovering from the whiplash, you glance out the window to see where you are. The bus pulls into the parking lot of where you'll be staying. It’s astonishing how you've never seen or heard much about its rebuilding before now. An excuse for the first part could be the large circus tent blocking the park's back wall.
The hotel itself was like a crossbreed between a lodge cabin and the fairgrounds. The main building sat in the middle of two towers; roof slanted like the pitch of a carnival tent and walls made of stone and wood. The pillars in its foundation were painted red for a little more color and the park's name along with its main mascot sat on a sign near the entrance; a plethora of lights surrounding the entire building shut off due to the time of day.
“Ruthie's Paradise Lodge…” You read aloud; the hare nestled in the title's ‘P' and drifting off to sleep. You gather your carry-on bag and join the others as they exit the bus. Atlas insists on taking the remaining lounge for you and wheels your bags along with his one duffle bag up to the front doors. A rustle in the bushes along the path catches your attention as you follow behind, but no one else seems to notice. You peak into the thickets – two, long pink ears greeting you among beady black eyes.
You scream.
Heads spin at the sound. Atlas retains a look of defense while Ell barks out a laugh and Cass removes their hand from the pocket at the sight they all behold. For the second time that day, fuzz laced arms trap you to the chest of a foreign body; this one covered head to toe in plush and oversized hands doing a better job at keeping you in place. Within enough struggle the mascot lets you go, covering his face with his hands out of embarrassment. The last member of your group and the first person on the bus walks up behind Ruthie and pats the hare's back.
“Sorry for the fright. Ruthie here is just excited to meet friends.”
Atlas pulls you away from the pair and creates a protective shield using his own body. “And you are?”
The man laughs. “Me? I’m the receptionist at this fine establishment and the staff member assigned to welcoming you all to the hotel. You can just call me Flo. I probably should've introduced myself earlier, but it seemed like you all were having a great time with each other which is what we love to see most at our parks. Shall we head in?”
Flo enters the hotel without waiting for an answer, leaving all you with no choice but to follow. Ruthie tails behind you step for step; eyes drilling holes in the back of your head. You can see his reflection in the glass doors right before you step inside. This Ruthie is nowhere near as stretched out as the one you met before, but his stare carries that same uncomfortable weight as the first. He gently pushes past you and marches in front of the other's to stand beside Flo.
The lobby isn’t anything remarkable. A fireplace in the waiting area accompanied by couches and chairs; framed snippets of the hare's crew on the walls. Twin staircases lead to a second floor and . It’s so open spaced you can’t help but wonder-
“Are we the only ones here?”
“Course not! We have the rest of staff and if you're referring to the other contestants I’m sure they'll be here on a later shuttle. If that clears up your questions then-"
The echo of Flo's clap makes you flinch.
“Let's get this show on the road. As I’m sure you're already aware of, you lovely folks are the first to witness the grand reopening of our gorgeous hotel after its tragic closing back in 95’. The rooms have been renovated to fit with modern times and there are various activities around the building to keep you all entertained when you aren't enjoying a fun day at our fair park. The only thing we ask is that you avoid staff only areas, even if a few of you are employed elsewhere on the plot.
Ruthie holds up a flashcard with a rabbit silhouette marked with a red X; tapping the board while slowly shaking his head. Flo walks behind the counter and produces four separate room keys.
“I will now give you all your assigned room keys and instructions on how to reach them. Your luggage will be brought to your rooms by staff later on.”
Flo hands out the keys in order of how you entered from Cass to Ell to Atlas to You. 81. 82. 83. 111. Ruthie holds out his hand for a key and crosses his arms over his chest when he doesn't receive what he’s after. It would've been a little funny had Ell not addressed the elephant in the room.
“Why's Y/n's room so far away from ours?”
Flo half shrugs, almost annoyed by the question. “I’m not sure. Possibly a mix up somewhere with booking and reservations and whatnot. To get to your room you three just have to walk up to the third floor. Your room is in the south tower on the fifth floor. Bit of a strange numbering system, I know, but we’ve kept the layout of the hotel as close to original design as possible. We hope you enjoy your stay.”
Taking that as ignitive to leave, you walk over to the elevator with the others. You’d ask about Wyatt another time. Ruthie sends you all off with a double handed wave. It drops to one when it’s your turn to receive a fair well. Ruthie brings a finger up to his eye socket and drags it down to his cheek.
“Well…” Atlas starts. “We're still in the same location, and we'll most likely be seeing a lot of each other regardless of the situation.”
“Do you mind us paying you a visit?” Cass questions. “You’re the only reason I'm actually here…”
Ell chimes in. “Yeah, kinda lame deal if I can't try to bust down your door at any given moment.”
“I don't mind. Just give me a bit to get settled in first. I'll see you later.” You push the button on the elevator wall and wait for it to open. As you enter Atlas steps forward.
“Maybe I should head up with you, just to be safe…”
Ell tugs the taller figure into a headlock and pulls him back. “Not so fast, Romeo. We spend time with them together or not at all. I won't give you the chance to shoot your shot with them so soon.”
Atlas flushes, barking out. “It's not like that!”
“Don't lie to me. I've seen your wallpaper before. I've snuck a few pictures in my time, and I have no doubts that our other friend over there has as well.”
Cass is already halfway up the stairs before Ell gets her point across, frantically scrolling through their phone. Both Atlas and Ell chase after them.
“See you later, guys.” You press the button to your floor, a last minute rider keeping the doors from closing.
Ruthie steps inside the elevator and into the opposite corner where another button panel was placed. He closes the doors, before pressing every single button prior to your floor while making direct eye contact with you.
The elevator goes up. The doors open and shut for the second floor. The fluff of the costume's chest rises with a breath. Another floor. His fingers twitch and his left leg shifts towards you. He starts to hum, tapping his foot against the metal floor. Two floors left and that soft drill draws out into a whistle. The cold wall envelopes you as you shrink in their corner. Ruthie teeters in your direction and then.. gets off on the fifth floor.
The hare ducks beneath the elevator and crawls out into the hall, thunderous footsteps sounding throughout his entire descent. Reaching the end of the walkway, Ruthie turns and tilts his head as the doors slowly close.
You shuffle out the elevator as soon as the doors open again, gunning for the room at the end of the hall with your assigned number. You jam your key into the lock and tumble inside the room. A balloon floats by your head as you lean against the door. You follow the floating orb trajectory to the bedside where a large gift basket sat on the pillows. Curious, you the item, pushing another stray balloon out of your way.
The basket is full of various treats from around the park as well as non-food items such as tee shirts and plush figures. The two in question are Ruthie and the newer addition to the crew, Bash the wolf. The hare carries his signature bottle of root beer and the canine holds a small mallet. Despite his weapon of choice and his scowl, Bash was a kind and timid creature afraid of his own shadow. The lesson his debut was founded on was about not being scared of those who don't seem approachable on first glance. The cellophane wrapping around the case was too thick to tear through, but a notecard hides between the plastic and the bottom of the basket.
“Welcome Home.”
A heavy fist rattles the door in its frame.
“Y/n? Are you in there? Atlas got us lost and we've been looking for you for like- twenty minutes.”
It's Ell. Probably with the others. You head over and unlock the door. Sure enough, the three park members wait behind it with smaller bags on their person, and Cass carrying a few plastic bags from a general store.
“You came over faster than I expected…” You gloss over their added luggage – and the pillow in Ell's arms.” Wait, are you planning to stay the night?”
“Okay if you’re okay with it.” Atlas quips. “We just thought it'd be a good way to break in the night, and it’s a long way away back so we brought over things just in case.”
“You got more than enough space to house us all.” Ell bounces over to the couch adjacent to the bed and the window, ending her exploration at the foot of your bed. “Your room is way bigger than ours and you have a nice view. You even got a whole basket of goods. Oh shit, are those funnel cakes bites?”
Ell pokes and prods at the bag to no avail.
“Yeah, I couldn't get it open either. Anyone have any utensils?”
“You can use my knife..” Cass unsheathes a pocket knife from their jeans and hands it to you. There's a crow engraved on its side. You pass it off to Ell who then cuts open the plastic and at least asks before she digs in to her desired treats.
The rest of the night goes about the same as one would expect. You each take up a random corner in the room and discuss whatever topic comes to plate. Cass comes clean with more about themselves and lets it slip that aside from delivering your mail, they piloted various costumes around the park. Apparently they wanted to be a voice actor when they were little and the roles helped with that dream. They played Momo the clown, the last remaining character from the park's time as a circus and Ruthie’s closest friend. The young sibling of the Bandit Twins. And Farmer Crow.
“You're Crow?!”
Cass is quick to defend themselves. “O-only on weekends…”
The festivities end with you watching the fireworks show from the park at the window, and the others drawing straws to see where they’d sleep for the night. Ell gets the couch, Atlas the floor, and Cass at the end of the bed. As you try to fall asleep, your mind wanders towards what Ell said earlier. You did have a great view of the park from where you were. You had visuals on the entire park starting from the tent that blocks everything else out of sight. The park closed hours ago, but the lights inside it are still on.
“Don't you think it's weird?”
Half asleep you pick up on a hushed conversation at the end of your bed.
“What?”
“You stole the candies so you could be alone with them, but there were way more than you had in your bag, and they had to have a backup plan if something serious happened. Isn’t it a little strange we're the only ones here?”
“A little, now that you mentioned it. The receptionist said more people were coming.”
“I guess… Night, Cass.”
You pull the blankets up to your chin and close your eyes, cradling the stuffed animals as you drift off to sleep.
