#a distorted accident

[The video starts with sidon inspecting the red glowing distortion. The phone/recording device seems to be on a tripod or something following sidon and alex (or floating? who knows!).

Alex tosses a coin in it, and there's no indication it hit any ground. A scientist in the background laughs and loudly says, "As if we hadn't tried that already..." which gets a laugh out of a couple other scientists nearby.

Alex just groans and flicks another coin, this one instead perfectly flying into the scientist's eye. He yells "Ow!" and Sidon chuckles to himself about it.

Soon after, the crack starts widening. Naturally, sidon being curious, he gets a bit closer it. Unfortunately, it widens under his feet and he loses his footing and falls in.

Or at least he almost does, as alex grabs his arm and is able to keep him held up for longer than you'd expect. But then she starts falling in, only not falling in from her grabbing the ledge. From the camera shes only visible by her orange painted fingernails gripping the ledge of the red-glowing crack. She could probably get herself up there, but with only one hand and the weight of another person? No way. But she wasn't going to let him go. Even no-er of a way.

The scientists in the background are clearly panicking, understandably unsure of what to do. Then, alex can't hold on anymore, and they fall in.

The crack immediately closes behind them as the recording distorts and a certain cry can be heard on repeat until the video ends.

please forgive me for asking for clarification because i don't know anything about birds. clipping flight feathers? does that stop birds from flying or is it a grooming thing? i'm either about to be yell oh no or aww very loudly depending on how this answer goes

Skdhdh it’s to stop birds from flying long distances. People usually clip their parrots wings so if they do get out they can’t get very far and are easier to retrieve

But for Wilbur it’s purely a convenience thing, his wings already bump into everything so trimming down the longest feathers helps a bit. He’s not losing anything since he doesn’t even know how to fly in the first place. It does make Phil a little sad though

About that part where Lennie sneaks out and sees the alternate universe Cyrus and her mom in Alola, is there another Lennie for them?

Yes, but she's probably off somewhere playing while her parents have a moment that the other Cyllene sees. Maybe she even sees the alternate version of herself running up to them excitedly and gets to see how happy and peaceful they are. Her distress only increases since it puts everything she knows into perspective.

Poor RR Cyrus is about to have a sad little girl come back to him and just wish his perfect world was one where they were happy together as a family. (Granted, his intentions are not to cause pain – only get rid of emotion and spirit. Though... judging by his dialogue in from that time, it seems Giratina was about to Get him before Giovanni pulled him to Alola, so his plans were always destined to get blocked by Giratina even without a protag.)
