this isn't too relevant but I have to include it. it's too cute. I definitely see shisui getting married pretty young, like early 20s. if he finds his person he's going for it. probably gets a lot of shit for it from his family, but he doesn't care

loooong honeymoon period. in part because they're still a young couple but also... shisui is just a really devoted husband. he loves the married life. insists on kissing her goodbye every morning, eating together every night, stuff like that

LOVES DECORATING THEIR HOUSE are u kidding me. let's say they get a kinda shitty place right after they get married, and put a tonne of work into doing it up. he gets so into painting, building the furniture, even starts up a little herb garden in their kitchen

finds so many ways to drop his wife into conversation lol. he's down bad even after the honeymoon period ends, so he wants to show her off. his FAV is when she swings by his workplace to bring him his 'forgotten' lunch. he turns around to the rest of the guys like. yeah. that's my WIFE. isn't she hot.

very much a believer in keeping the romance alive. he wants to keep making the effort with her until the day he dies. veryyyy good at remembering anniversaries, scheduling regular date nights, etc. always makes sure she has fresh flowers in the house

obviously it isn't all perfect though. especially while they're young (and presumably both still active, high-ranking shinobi) their schedules keep them apart a lot. and this hits shisui really hard tbh. he hates coming back to an empty home after a long mission, knowing he might not even see his wife before he has to leave again

work is probably where most of their arguments stem from, actually. I don't see it being a regular thing, but it's easy for resentment to build in those kinds of situations. shisui is very torn between his love for his village, and his love for his wife, and the fact he can't prioritise both. thankfully shisui is a good communicator so they make things work.

in terms of jealousy... I don't see it being a common thing. maybe before they get married he tends towards it a bit more, but once she's his wife, why would he worry? she's his entire world and he knows she loves him just as much

the only way I rly see him getting jealous at all is if they're going through a bit of a rough patch for the reasons mentioned above. maybe they haven't seen each other in weeks, and they both get back from a mission on the same day. and there's some kind of event/function that evening that they have to attend

so they barely have a chance to acknowledge each other, before they're pulled apart again by the crowd. so if shisui sees some random guy getting a little too close and flirty with her, he gets more annoyed than he'd like to admit

even then though.. he's not necessarily jealous as much as he is upset. like goddamn just let this poor man have his beloved wife to himself for a night. in this situation he's more likely to behave more rashly than usual, and he might just make some excuses and take her home lol. he gets a little bit pouty until she gives him some attention

overall, though, he's very chill. he trusts her implicitly, and expects the same from her. they need to have a very honest, respectful relationship if he's going to wife her up

god okay and in old age they're so cute together. I bet they have a bunch of kids (probably accidentally tbh lol) so then they end up with a whole squadron of grandchildren. he's that fun grandpa who sneaks them sweets when the parents aren't looking. all the grandbabies want to sleep over at their house. and they LOVE it.

to sum up: very good husband. very relaxed, communicates well, makes her feel loved every day. why did he have to die I want to throw myself off a bridge.

tobirama

first of all. good job to this woman. wrangling tobirama into marriage is not an easy job. he's so fucking ANNOYING. it probably takes him years to confess he even has feelings for her, let alone ask for her hand in marriage

but once he gets there. it's pretty cute. he doesn't really act very differently for the most part - he'd already decided his heart belonged to her well before they married, and wholly committed. so his behaviour doesn't change much, and there isn't much of a honeymoon period. sorry. he's like marriage is just a contractual agreement why would it change anything between us

he does make a few little indulgences though. he gets this smug little look every time he introduces her as his wife. he's actually just a lot more prone to 'showing her off' in general, and more likely to show some physical affection in public. for tobirama that's maybe a peck on the cheek lol. but it's progress

he's definitely a lot.... gentler?idk. with her once they're married as well. he makes an effort to be more patient and less snippy, and shows his appreciation for her in a lot of quiet little ways. for example, he'll be sure to leave work on time no matter how busy it is if he knows she's putting a lot of effort into dinner that night. or if she spends a second too long looking at a new dress in the store, he's buying it for her

on that note. tobirama is such a provider once they're married. he does have that traditional idea of providing for his wife. he'll probably ask her if she wants to become a stay at home wife tbh. if she says yes, he still expects her to get out in the community of course. he'd love if she did volunteering work, maybe at the hospital or with kids or something. but he's also equally happy for her to keep working. power couple vibes very strong

they have a nice, quiet little house away from the village where no one bothers then and they loooove it. especially tobirama, his wife and their home are his sanctuary. everyone else gtfo

other than that, not much is really different from before their marriage. they probably actually lead quite independent lives, to the point where people don't even know they're married until tobirama drops it into conversation a few months later. they're very private and lowkey.

unfortunately for her, tobirama's paranoia also persists. he's a bit delulu sometimes lol and she knows this going in. but it does inevitably cause some issues, especially if she's headstrong (which is definitely the type of woman he ends up with)

he trusts his wife more than anything. he would never doubt her for a second. but other men? the enemy. not to be trusted. they're all dogs. it drives him absolutely batshit crazy to watch them ogling her, or god forbid trying to flirt with her. which is actually kinda common bc they're such a lowkey couple, so people assume she's single

tobirama isn't one to make a scene per se, but this definitely leads to a few awkward situations in public, and she probably ends up embarrassed a few times. and there's 10000% arguments behind closed doors. I don't see either of them being good with this lol. he acts like she's his political enemy he's ridiculous

but because he loves her so much, and he actually really wants to put work into the longevity of their marriage, he'll come around. he's a lot softer and more willing to compromise when it comes to her. but she can't point that out because he's mortified

over time, he chills out a lot more. they're one of those couples that just get stronger and better with time. they grow a lot together, and although they probably continue to disagree a lot throughout their marriage, it's always in a way that leaves their relationship stronger. and he only gets softer for her. people (hashirama) even start to point out how devoted he is and he can't even deny it. cute

overall a kind of difficult husband, because he is an exceptionally difficult man, but my god he loves her so much. he would do anything to make her happy.

If it’s the second I already see him passing by Silver’s room really excited and saying “YOU HAVE A BROTHER!” And zooming off, leaving a very confused Silver and thinking he refers to either Malleus or Sebek.

Anon's idea is extremely good and we're going to roll with it for this Yutu's Uniqe Magic because you know he was always going to be a little shit.

I have a bit of difficult time writing for Lilia given how much older he is than the rest of the cast, so I tend to write his Yuu as being a bit older themselves. Maybe they had an extremely difficult childhood and connected with Lilia over their shared sense of robbed innocence. Whatever it was I think this Yuu has a bit of a fascination with creatures of the night and a lot of their weirdo reputation within their community comes from kids telling each other that Yuu and Yutu are vampires. That makes me tempted to say Lilia! Yutu's real name is Alucard or Sebastian, something vaguely vampire themed.

None of those rumors are helped by Yutu finding himself very lethargic when out in the sunlight or his preference for colder temperatures. From his perspective he can't exactly help being who he is, people should really just get over themselves and let him do his thing. It's not his fault that bats really seem to like him for some reason, the neighbors are exaggerating Mr. Animal Control officer he swears.

Because he prefers to spend his awake hours in the dark, he is waaaaay too comfortable doing things and going places he shouldn't. He's real familiar with all the abandoned buildings and sketchy alleys of your town and has tagged quite a few of them. I like the idea of Lilia! Yutu being really interested in street art and Graffiti. I could see him putting up a bunch of bats everywhere and getting in a bunch of trouble for it. He has very fond memories of Yuu letting him paint murals on portions of their house in an effort to meet him halfway. He might like a good prank but unlike his father Yutu is always pulling his punches with Yuu.

Lilia didn't exactly have a supportive parent while he was growing up, something I feel like Yuu remembers and is very conscious of in their parenting of Yutu. Unfortunately for Lilia they also remember that he had another child and was a lot older than them, something Yutu raises several eyebrows at and causes him to ignore the things Yuu tries to tell him about his "great sense of humor" and "desire for different peoples to learn and grow with one another-" yeah that's great can you back up a bit to where you said he had another family? Yutu goes through life thinking he was the product of an affair Yuu had with a much older, married man who was just trying to feel young again. The amnesia stuff... sometimes he wonders if his dad tried to have Yuu killed. He never says it out loud because something tells him he's wrong, but gut feelings aren't as trustworthy as statistics...

So you can imagine his surprise when he tumbles out of a coffin and is told that his dad was a faerie general bound in service to a family of dragons, veteran of an ancient war, and technically the adoptive father of the Prince of the children of the night and the Prince of the rival human kingdom that killed his best friends. One of which is alive and overwhelmed with joy to meet him. Silver wanted Yutu almost as badly as Lilia and Yuu did so to see him alive and awkwardly squirming in his arms? Silver hasn't cried this much since they lost Lilia and Malleus.

Having a proper older brother, not just the concept, is an extreme change for Yutu. He's used to it just being him and Yuu, and he was sort of expecting Silver to hate him just for existing. Nothing could be further from the truth, Silver wants his younger brother to have the same freedoms he did while attending school but he also respectfully requests that Yutu spend at least some of his free time with him. He tried desperately to find his dreams over the years and was never able to make firm contact, but he doesn't want to pressure Yutu into caring about him. Yutu is didn't realize how badly he wanted other family members until he got to have Silver, he's even willing to take up sword fighting so they can get closer.

Sebek is also overwhelmed with tears upon seeing Lilia! Yutu. He is a bit harsh on him for "not living up to Master Lilia's legacy" because he doesn't know anything about fighting. He does applaud him for his willingness to learn. Yutu thinks Sebek is hilarious and messes with him just as much as Lilia does. Something Sebek is completely willing to let him do because it makes him feel like Lilia never left.

All of the Yutus get to see some of the photographs Yuu left behind, but Lilia! Yutu is especially interested in them. He makes a small photo album of all the ones he can find of his dad, especially ones where he's with Yuu and Silver. He's partially driven by guilt for thinking his father was a terrible person, but really he just wants to feel closer to him. He's half fae, and sure he has Sebek to talk about that with but what he really needs is a connection with his father. Yutu doesn't really care about being a faerie. He just cares about his dad's acceptance, everything else can go hang.

I don't have a name for his unique magic, but going off of anon's idea it allows him to overwhelm his target's mind, forcing them to think about their greatest fears to the point they are convinced they are really going through it. Someone hates spider? All over their face and in their clothes. Crippling fear of failure? Suddenly that emotion is all they can focus on. And if it's a mindless creature like a blot phantom or a monster they become overwhelmed with the sensation that they are unable to breathe and about to die. Yutu can't control the illusion the person experiences so usually he tries not to use it on his classmates.

That changes when he goes into the past. Some rando want to shit talk Yuu? Nightmare. Macho NRC guy wants to rumble? Nightmare. Some random guy jumped out from behind him and yells "BOO!" Nightma-

If Yutu had been just a hair slower he would have been in extreme pain, the dangerous glint in those familiar ruby eyes scream that. The short fae smiles almost cruelly, advancing on him clearly upset even though Yutu has dropped the spell.

"Well now, that's no way to great a senior." Lilia's voice is strangely soothing, it occurs to Yutu that this is probably the first time his father has ever been angry at him and he can't help himself. He laughs,

"Yeah sorry about that." He makes sure to try and be cute about it, which helps to diffuse the tension some what. "You really scared me so it was all I could think to do."

Lilia is very impressed by Yutu's reflexes and control over his unique magic. He is even further impressed by how eager Yutu is to train with Silver. The kid has some real promise and fits into Silver and Sebek's dynamic better than Lilia could have dreamed of. He really hopes the two will benefit from having a relatively normal human friend their age to train with. Maybe he and Yuu will stick around and give him some piece of mind about the kids being in good hands when he's gone.

Yutu hanging around Diasomnia gives him an excuse to chat with Yuu more, not that he exactly needed it. Lilia sort of hates the way he's drawn to you, it feels unfair. Unfair to you to give you hope there could be something more and toy with your affections; unfair to him for life to finally allow him to realize what romantic love is like just in time to have to let it go. There is a bittersweet tone to all of your interactions that his housemates are a bit too socially awkward to pick up on but Cater does.

Yutu is surprised how much he likes Cater, he associates him with a terrifying monster he's had to fight multiple times, not a fun guy who is really determined to help his parents get together. And what's even better he's really chill when Yutu asks for stories about Lilia, he has a lot of them and a completely different perspective than his older brother allowing Yutu to glean some more insight to what his parents might have been thinking in the future.

He finds himself spending a lot of time with the pop music club, not as an official member though he's not great at carrying a tune. Kalim, Cater, and Lilia are glad to have another person to chill with, sometimes they'll play music and Yutu will draw something based off whatever noise they made. Cater wants to talk him into doing album art for them... you know if they ever get around to making a recording.

I think Yutu will only tell Lilia who he is if he has no choice. He wants to mess with the timeline as little as possible, but should a monster from his timeline appear in this one, say like an overblotted Yuu another asker was so nice as to bring up, well it's not like he says who he is. He just addresses the monster as his parent and has a very loud meltdown not wanting to fight them again. Something Malleus is more than willing to assist him with.

"Think nothing of it." Malleus's power is truly terrifying, Yutu is torn between sorrow that he wasn't on their side and relief he didn't overblot a second time. "You are Lilia's son yes? That makes you my subject, and a most precious one at that." Not that Yutu has avoided interacting with Malleus exactly, he's just found talking to him exceptionally awkward because well. He's not Yuu, he's very aware of how important Malleus is supposed to be. But the way he's looking at him now makes him think that maybe he was missing out on interacting with another older brother.

Something that's confirmed when he turns to see how big his father's eyes have gotten, the man is shaking as he stares at his face and flicks between him, Malleus, and Silver like he's staring at the most precious pieces of art in the whole universe.

As you brought up Lilia's survival isn't guaranteed, I did not solve that problem at all. I sort of just... wrote that Lilia would age more or less like a normal human and not really be able to use magic on par with what a fae would consider normal but would still be impressive to a human... so while Lilia might be a bit reluctant to show his face in Briar Valley he would still have enough years to have and raise Yutu. He might have actually died around the same time as Yuu if they had lived a normal life.

He is overwhelmingly excited at the thought of having another baby. Lilia might not know what to do with them but he does really like kids. What's harder for him to accept is his relationship with Yuu. Raising a child is something he's done before, being someone's long term partner is not. He is unused to feeling desirable, and unfamiliar with acting on his own desires. Sure Lilia might seem very free spirited, but much of his life has been dictated by a sense of duty. The thought of having something precious to him that chose him specifically of their own free will is... disarming. He's overwhelmed with how helpless you make him feel and how little he despises it.

Yutu's need to be accepted by his father is met and exceeded almost immediately. Lilia wants to cook a big family dinner for Yuu and all of his boys, something that Malleus politely rejects asking if he can instead show his Culinary Crucible skills off to Yutu (it's really so he can make babiest brother promise to never eat anything Paw Paw makes EVER) and it's all so normal Yutu almost forgets that he's listening to a practical god smugly tell him he knows all about edible weeds as his father flies around him cracking jokes and pinching his cheeks. His older brother is asleep on the couch waiting for the food to be done and his precious parent is helping his Uncle Sebek set the table, listening to him sniffle about how beautiful Master Lilia's family is.

Lilia might be practically retired, but his mind is still sharp. The information Yutu is able to pass on to him lands in good hands. When he tucks Yutu into bed that night, long after the boy has gone to sleep so as not to embarrass him he makes sure to take a good long look at the little miracle. He is beyond grateful Yutu exists, not even the Thorn Fairy could have given him a finer blessing (he'll have to make sure to tease you about that later, that's got to be a good pick up line) He will make sure that this risk his son has taken pays off, Lilia Vanrouge wasn't feared for no reason. Something it seems some foolish mortals need reminding of.

Day 28: Mr Tanis!!

MY BBG 🙏🙏🙏 had a wip of him with mindyons ghost lads I did over a month ago and decided to redraw it, since my style has changed a good bit. I've been waiting so long jskvkke but!!! Yapping!!!

OKAY, SO JSKVKKSKV, Victorian necromancy was a sort of sub category for Victorian spiritualism. Around like,, 1860 I believe, the interest in spirits and other occult type things sort of boomed. People became kinda obsessed with talking to and learning things about all sorts of spirits, and this is when seances became kinda big. Like, a shit ton of people would do them, especially higher class folks, bc it was kinda like entertainment. And since death was so widespread back then, a lot of people would want to talk to those that have passed. (Forgive me if I get anything wrong tho, I read about a bunch of this over the years and am just recalling)

Necromancy tho!!!! Generally people think of completely reanimating the dead and stuff, but for Victorians it was moreso reanimating the *spirit or soul*, basically bringing the spirit back to ask it questions, usually about the future or to answer mysteries, like cause of death and blah blah blah. Tho, with the creatures and world of tgs, it can kinda be assumed that Tanis does *also* dabble in fully reanimating things-- most likely small animals or pets and such. I like to think he helps keep Zosi good and well, personally :3 but yeah, it can probably be assumed that he might be trying to work up to resurrecting people and such, but he *probably* mostly dabbles in seances and connecting with spirits/the spiritual world and such. He probably does resurrections for recently deceased pets and such, and spiritual readings/seances for higher class people, or just people who seek out his stuff. Which!! I think would make him one of the more popular lodgers among higher society.

Hcs: I think he's a very joyful and social guy, which can vaguely be seen, mayhaps partially bc of high empathy from his line of work. He's more in tune to emotions and atmosphere bc of the connection he's built with the spirit world. Because of this, I feel like spirits and stuff are also just very drawn to him (and Doddle for his constant positive energy, though he doesn't notice them)

Also!!! Works quite closely with Dr Maijabi me thinks, I bet they've got a nice found family dynamic, not only bc of their somewhat similar lines of work, but also bc they're both immigrants. I think him and doddle are friends too (*COUGH*boyfriends-) bc doddle seems like such a constantly happy and positive guy so I think doddle would help recharge him emotionally

By saying that support shouldn’t be given to glitch rn, does that include not watching newer SMG4 episodes and other Glitch related stuff? (I’m trying to know whether i should continue to watch them for now)

If you don't support what Glitch is doing in regards to the Tari's VA situation right now, then yes not watching what they produce is how you can show that you don't support them, that also includes not buying their merch for now (I know they just released a bunch of TADC merch which they've been promoting like crazy since this whole situation started (also you don't need to get rid of anything you've already brought, this is about buying their stuff currently)). Striking is one of the best ways to show a company that you don't support their actions, if done en mass it can send a very powerful message.

Withholding your support until accountability is given is how it should be done for companies like Glitch, they're a company after all, they're not gonna read your callout posts in a 83 part twitter thread lol. Obviously openly harassing Glitch and singling out employees to harass ISN'T the right thing to do and doesn't show anything other than you're a hateful person. If you don't agree with what Glitch is doing, I'd suggest striking.

However if you choose to keep watching SMG4 or anything else Glitch make, then that's your choice to make, its up to you to decide if this situation is worth ceasing your support towards Glitch over. I'm not gonna sit here and tell you what you should be doing, nor am I going to judge anyone who isn't doing the same thing as me and neither should anyone else. Ultimately, I don't care whether you watch Glitch productions or not, its my personal choice to stop supporting Glitch by not watching SMG4 and its up to you if you want to do the same.

I think it's most important to stay up to date with everything that's happening and to keep talking about it, we can't just let this be forgotten about because it may cause it to happen again. Keep informed and keep spreading awareness about it until something is done if nothing else. Don't be afraid to change your mind later one once new information is revealed or even admit fault where needed, this is still and ongoing situation so people's views will change as time goes on.

a lot of rambling; read if you want to lol but i would appreciate having more like-minded people to talk about this with! (tl;dr recently found out i have autism and it's turned my whole world upside down?)

don't know where to start bc this is a very new revelation for me but figured out that i have autism thanks to my gf (she has adhd) pointing out a million things??? and the past two days have just been me going through what i remember of my whole life and being all "oh so That's why i acted like that" or "so That's why i don't like this thing"

like i had an idea a year ago that i might've been neurodivergent but didn't know how, didn't know where to start bc i didn't know much of the signs or symptoms and at the time i didn't talk much to my gf bc we weren't together yet and thus didn't talk like literally every day about everyyyy little thing

but she had been telling me that my brother stacking cans was an autism thing (he's 2 and a half and still hasn't talked yet but hasn't been diagnosed) and i was like "lol but i did that too i thought everyone does that it can't be autism" and she was like "🤨 that's not the gotcha you think it is" and me going "lol sure whatever u say" but in reality i've been thinking about that for a little while lol like what did she mean by that....

and two nights ago we stayed up til 2am my time talking about it bc she was like "you know how you always wear bracelets and you never take them off? yeah, comfort items. you don't like soda bc of the carbonation? that's a texture thing. you also have a million plushies and like holding them when you go to sleep?? guess what, that's right, that's an autism thing" and went on and on and i just kept being like damn . Damn.

like more of a list here, i really really didn't think much of these things bc i thought it was Normal or just a weird little quirk for me bc everyone has weird little quirks right or that it was just an anxiety thing for me lol i didn't know much about autism and now i'm doing my best to research it all

- i don't like certain smells, like my mom gets hand soaps and some of them are really . eugh. visceral reaction from me even tho i used them bc it's still soap i thought i just had to get over it

- i like really basic foods and don't tend to try new things much; i hate cauliflower bc of the texture (i knew autistic ppl had problems w texture in foods but usually i can eat most things..! not that i try a lot of foods! i brushed it off until i remembered this while trying to think of signs that i have autism) i also hate soda and spicy food bc of the textures, otherwise i rly like it lol if they didn't have the textures they have then i would be so good rn

- me being all "oh yeah i just have fixations and stuff everyone has this" (has been deeply into isat for seven months now and feeling like it's dropping off my radar sends me into a slight state of panic if i think about it too much) but my friend who i asked if he noticed anything odd w me had said that me being sooo super duper into isat, he thought it was just a weird thing specific to me bc everyone is a little weird right and also nothing much else stuck out to him bc we also share a lot of anxiety things lol he said it Would make sense if i did have autism and it also would if i didn't but like. i thought uh. everyone was like this!!!! i thought everyone liked things so deeply they made it their entire personality... (having a job is awful bc i keep spending money on things i like... i have sooo many splatoon things and also i've been buying every isat thing and also games and also just a bunch of stuff i hoard and don't even get me started on comms lol i have sooo many ocs and i have phases of ocs i like so i get comms of them bc i start thinking about them out of nowhere......)

- which brings me to my next point; my gf told me ppl w adhd and/or autism usually seek out other ppl just like them but thinking about it, i don't think any of my friend groups are like me, i think 95% of my friends are all nt which is crazy, but then i think about how i'm here on tumblr and i feel comfortable cause everyone deeply likes isat too and i'm like :) yay let's go even tho i'm rly bad at talking to people like reallyyyyy bad i haven't made much new friends i think bc i'm so awful at talking (tho that's also evidence in and of itself isn't it)

- and so many things have gotten past me bc i guess i learned to mask so well i just pass off rly easily as a nt person.. cause i don't do things that make ppl immediately think something's up with me and the only reason my gf has caught this is bc again we talk every day and she has multiple friends w autism so she knows the signs she knows what to look for and it also has taken her this long to figure it out too like she had Suspicions. but didn't voice them bc she wasn't sure until a couple nights ago

and there's soooo many other things too but i already forgor and i wanna make a list to remember them all bc it's so much easier for me to remember things if i write them down

i'm just like siffrin in that i have a sieve-like brain my memory is so very terribly awful lol

but it's so interesting to think about!!! it's so relieving to know that there's actually a reason for like everything and it's not bc i'm broken or just a plain awful person or something

and it's not very noticeable!! i don't do any of the like. "stereotypical" things so no one ever (including me!!!!!) thinks anything of what i do bc i hide my weird things so well i guess

and i want to talk about it more with people!!!! like i said, i don't have many friends who have autism? and the ones i do have it to a degree that i don't i think... but i'm not sure. but i would like to reach out to them soon enough to hear about their experiences and that's why i'm here too!!! cause i want to know more about it bc yes i will have books to read on the matter but i want to know too from hearing from others, especially if one has autism the way i have it... and i'm 26 too which means it literally passed by people as a child and i wonder if i just learned to mask everything over time bc again i don't remember!!! anything!! which sucks lol. and didn't help that i kept being like "lol i can't have autism i don't do any of these things" i just didn't know 🙄 but i didn't know where to start looking, didn't know what could've been a symptom or not but just kept denying it bc my perception of it was very narrow and didn't think to look into it more to be sure.

and i'm not even professionally diagnosed but i've never been more sure of anything in my life now. and also eventually i want to be professionally diagnosed i would like that very much i just have to save up money

Hi Ira! If I remember right, you mentioned that you bought an arm mount for your tablet for use at your desk. Do you have any recommendations? I'm trying to get a "dream office" list together and honestly my neck would appreciate a break from all the shrimping I do while I draw. Have a lovely day! 💜

i can definitely recommend the one i use, because i love it and have had no problems with it, but as a heads up i've never used any other arm mounts before so i can't give any accurate insight on whether it's better/worse than others!

that being said, i'm using a gas spring mount, and especially if you have or intend to get a large/heavy screen tablet, i really recommend it. the way the gas spring arm works is basically when setting it up you can adjust the amount of like, pneumatic force/resistance offered by the central support of the arm to be exactly matched to the weight of the tablet monitor (this sounds technical but is really easy, u just follow the instructions in the setup manual), and then basically the tablet will just Stay wherever you move it -- barely requires u to apply any force at all, and no fiddling with loosening and tightening a bunch of knobs whenever you want to make an adjustment, which has been the experience i've had with cheaper arm mounts for stuff like microphones etc!!! i'm sure there are non-gas-spring mounts that are somewhat easily adjustable, but my experience with the gas spring one so far has been that it's SO easy that i don't even have to think about it. i move mine a lot so i can sit different ways, angle the tablet surface based on the level of detail i'm working at, etc and it's also really nice to be able to just swing it completely out of the way and tuck the tablet away to the side when i'm done drawing digitally and want to free up my desk; if the arm was sticky or rigid or required Any extra steps to readjust stuff i think i would get annoyed really fast.

(if my office was not such a fucking disaster rn i would take some pics so you could see how i have it set up and some of the ways i can move it around. unfortunately it is a fucking disaster. maybe i'll get a chance sometime and i'll loop back to this!!)

it also feels really sturdy, there's an extremely tiny bit of wobble when i'm drawing bc i have a tendency to push really hard sometimes and that made me a little nervous on the first day but i don't even notice it now (and the wobble seems to just be from general/necessary flex in the arm overall, not a certain joint or component of the clamp being loose or lacking integrity). i would definitely recommend looking at reviews and carefully picking something solid; u will make urself miserable if you're not confident that your arm can Hold your very expensive and precious tablet, or if the clamp is wobbling on your desk or whatever. also, MEASURE THE SIDE OF YOUR DESK and try to find dimension info to make sure the clamp on whatever arm you're getting will actually fit!! i have a weird desk that has a kind of thick inset bit on the underside/edges, and a lot of standard clamps do not fit over it; i was lucky enough that the one that came with my tablet was adjustable enough to fit, but it would really suck to order an arm and then find out it's incompatible with your desk.

i can't seem to find a listing for the exact mount i use -- sticker on the side says huanuo. i got it bundled with my huion when i bought it, so here's just a link to a similar bundle; it looks a little different than the one i got, but this amazon listing for a gas spring mount from the same brand looks the same, so i think i just got a version that doesn't have the cable management loops on the bottom.

ANYWAY that's about all i can think to say -- like i said, this is the only arm mount i've ever used, so if anyone else wants to chime in with info or experiences abt other varieties that would be great!! i hope this is helpful, gl getting your dream office together :D

The storyline involved two main characters named Daniel who had a GameBoy for a head and Julias who was a werewolf but had to try and hide it from Daniel and everyone else due to werewolves in this world were hunted to extinction. There was a bunch of other monster types existed n stuff like that. Only made a few artworks of it. Canceled due to lack of motivation and I felt like I was forcing myself to do something I didn't really want to. Storyline was also non-existent and yet confusing.

Moon Base Freddy's au

Can't say a lot on this one's reason for existing other then it was heavily inspired by the song The Fine Print by Stupendium. I drew a few artworks for it in some privated live streams. Basically the whole au was a space capitalist dystopia in which all the employees were owned by the company, oh yeah also the restaurant was a moon base that they lived in. Canceled due to not really having anything to do with Freddys, it just sorta had a Freddys mask on. Also lack of motivation which tends to kill a lot of my ideas.

Floral Flurry

Not much to say on this one either, didn't have much to it either. Was another attempt at making a non fandom project that died very quickly. Had help from @/systemfailuretpd for the designs. The storyline was pretty basic being about a parasite plant that learns empathy from its new host and has to go back and fix what it did with its past host. Canceled due to just not really wanting to work on it, was kinda boring and felt too cutesy and simple despite one of the characters previously being basically a genocidal dictator.

Dr Surus' Experiments

Another oc story, this one was about a Dr Frankienstien type who would bring people (several of my oc's) back to life as basically zombies for fame. The story was mainly about David, Jannette, Stevm and another oc that I can't remember rn. Their whole deal was going to be talking about the ethics of bringing someone back to life and how they can't give consent. It was planned to be my next big thing that I was gonna reveal in the animation I'm still working on. Honestly given my track record I would not have been able to convey the messaging very well. Canceled due to lack of interest and generally loosing motivation to work on it.

Pet Shoppe Cats

Another oc story comic that was meant to be a non fandom project. It stared two main characters named Felix and Chip, Chip was an immortal parental figure to Felix. Both were half self inserts and sorta didn't do much. They worked at a pet shop together as they were both animal hybrids which was mostly a trans allegory but despite that I didn't really focus on that with the story being a slice of life thing about them just working at the pet store with not much else happening. I made a few panels and character sheets but not much. Canceled for pretty obvious reasons, was boring and lacked focus. Art style was also just not fitting to my style and i was just sorta forcing myself to not draw something cutesy which my style cannot break from without lookin really odd. Basically I was trying to make myself do something I can't do.

Aaaaaand that is the end of Part 2 my fellows!

A lil shorter then the first one due to me removing a few as upon looking at them again they would be rift content.

The final part will be the unfinished ones on the verge of being canceled so their fate is very up in the air.

I dont know if you're still doing Sunday confessions this week, but my confession is I'm tired of doomscrolling stans of TZ. I'm sorry to start this negative on your blog, but it's too much. As of recently, there have been certain anons who go on some blogs, including your own destiny, who are so negative at both of theirs career cause they can't compare it to strangers on stantwitter. It's the main reason I left the app because it gets so tribal and unnecessarily dramatic when it should just be fun and light-hearted.

Tom's on stage rn, and all you guys worry about is the films he's not going to do like it has any effect on you. I see some fans who are annoyed that there aren't any casting rumours for Z like she wasn't dominating the culture at the beginning of 2024 with Dune 2 and Challengers.

As a fan of musicians, it's normal for your fav artist to have quiet moments in their career. I'm so happy Sade was big in the 80s cause if she started in this gen, ppl would've called her a flop due to her personal choice to go on hiatus between albums😭.

THIS!!! Way too many people in fandoms these days either only watch their "faves", or watch films in silos and don't just view ALL film as just simply art. Even if they watch films of other actors from different fandoms, they watch them to simply criticize, look down upon, or find some kind of fault so that it doesn't somehow "take away" from their actor that they love. 🙄 Like, chill out!! It's much more fun to just be chill about all of this stuff.

And yes, I won't deny that some fandoms can be overly harsh towards our faves, and even put them down, or try to make us feel bad. But that doesn't mean that the ACTOR himself/herself feels this way, so why punish him/her just because of some immature nobodies in their fandom?? 🤔

Thank you!👏🏾 Anon...I've been preaching this and saying this on my blog for YEARS!! While I LOVE Tom and Zendaya, there are also a WIDE-range of various different other actors and films that I love too! 😃 When you just simply view films as just ART and don't view it as some type of competition all the time, you can just relax, and enjoy films from a VARIETY of actors, and appreciate them all for various reasons. Films are just supposed to be for enjoyment. Watching something of another actor or genre isn't going to make you a "bad fan" lol.

Under division is a small ramble

Cole's the "captain" and is a selkie (although I know they're usually seals I accidentally chose a sea lion)! He's the sea lion in the pictures and I'm desperately trying to work his skin into the design. I thought it'd be silly since he was raised in dance and entertainment.. and hey! Sea lions are known for that too!

Jay is a mermaid (thing?) When in the water, he has the lower half reminiscent of an electric eel (I saw reminiscent as there are some major differences)! No one really has powers in this but he can still shock like that,, Ed and Edna are still human in this and I'm trying to remember if they still lived at a scrapyard or a shipyard.

Both Kai and Nya are only half mermaid! Nya ended up inheriting way more mermaid traits than her brother, who doesn't even have a tail in water, but still has a lot of human drawbacks. She can only breathe underwater for so long and ironically Kai can last down there longer. He just chooses not to since I thought it'd be funny to still let him be scared of water in this 😭 sorry Kai. He still has the recognizable sharper teeth and has bits and flashes of shimmery scales but is overall the most human of the bunch once you count out Cole's unskinned form.

I couldn't resist myself on Zane and ended up making him a siren. Mainly because.. bird! And also if he was going to be organic, I wanted to isolate him from the other sea related creatures. He has the wings and feathers of a gyrfalcon and can't swim as well in the ocean! He ends up bonding with Kai over this Kai originally hadn't liked him too much! Reasonably so since.. y'know.. sirens eat people. And mermaids in this.. although Zane eats human things as he was raised on it by a still very human Dr. Julien (who I guess is more of a bird-oriented wildlife scientist in this? ornithologist?). insert joke about him being a hand raised bird.

I don't have my sketchbook with me right now so I'm scrambling for pictures but ! Like all their designs, he's still a work in progress. Will most likely make his legs longer or something but this is just my ideas LOL

And anyways! Onto Lloyd! (And the others?)

I was struggling to decide what Lloyd should be,, like? A dragon could still very much work and his normal version is already so cool?? However, I ended up on leviathan.. a baby one. The serpentine aren't decided but Lloyd's still pretty much not taken seriously by the town. Still winds up being taken in by the "ninja!"

Garmadon is still locked up, although now at the bottom of the ocean! The Skulkin are drowned/dead pirates?

Wu is who I've been struggling to decide on as well! For whatever reason I've been contemplating making him like just some statue in the Destiny's Bounty that speaks to them.

There's plenty of other things going on,, Kai and Nya come to them on accident and Jay is over the moon to see other moons and wants to show them their "ways" despite having never even met others before. Cole is desperately trying to keep everyone in one place as they've accidentally made the perfect collection of the world's most valuable pelts.

Kai still raises Nya at the forge (which in this, is beachside), but years later there's a rise in pricing for the scales of mers and the boy decides that they need to leave in effort to protect her. Nya is devastated because this is their home! Where else would they even go?? They barely have any cash! Kai's decision is further inland AND with the money they get from selling the forge. Yadda, yadda, the buyer turns on them and they wind up in the ocean near their home! Kai's knocked cold, which is for the better as Nya swims them further and further into open ocean.

For the first time, Nya meets another mer as she tries to save her brother, and he helps them aboard a ship! The Destiny's Bounty! (Or perhaps a ship before it? It's all still up in air)

CRACK APHMAU AU:

Okay imagine this, Aphmau, but instead of going to Phoenix Drop High she goes to Okhasis Prep. She goes in to take the entrance exam for Okhasis Prep and it's surprisingly easy (Zack payed off the school board bcs he made bank off working with the Ro'meaves so he's loaded and even though he's absentee he pays a shit ton of child support to Sylvana and the mystery woman he cheated on her with)

So she passes and she's accepted into the school after being in a Montessori school (primary/elementary) and then a private school (Junior High/Middle School). So she gets there and who does she meet? Liochant, who immediately takes her under his wing and teaches her all about the school and where to find things. He's also a sub in mentor so he's able to walk around with Aphmau and fill her in about all the clubs and social events that will happen just in case she wants to join a club or go to a pep rally.

After she gets a grasp on the school, she walks around the gym (It's like in PDH when there are a bunch of booths set up for clubs and stuff) and overhears that the soccer team is going to be holding tryouts in 3 months because their previous captain graduated and so did like half the players and the captain never set up a reserve team. She pulls out her notepad because I say so and this is my AU so what I say goes and I decide that she has a notepad with her at all times and she scribbles down that she should remember that.

Then she hears distant screaming and she looks up to so who? THE DAEMOS BOYS. She decides to steer clear of them because now one of the 5 boys in the group is now throwing fireballs and she's weirded out. She goes to her homeroom class after the club social lets out and she's one of the first people there thanks to Liochant showing her where everything is. She pulls out her phone and starts texting her online friend on it (I HATE AARON WITH EVER FIBER OF MY BEING HE WILL BE ERASED FROM THIS AU SOONER OR LATER. HE WILL ANSWER FOR HIS CRIMES🤬)

Then Noi sits down next to her and even though she said she wouldn't ever approach even one of those five boys Noi's just so sweet she can't not talk to him when he starts asking her about herself with stars in his eyes. Basically they're best friends by the end of the class and he offers to introduce her to his friends and she says "No thx haha they scare me..!!" and bolts off to the exit so she can walk home because if it's just Noi it's fine but she doesn't associate with crazy people so the rest of his friend group is off limits.

She's walking and she sees GARROTH AND LAURANCE ON THE OTHER SIDEWALK. She glanced over at them and they look over the Garroth trips over his own feet idc and he falls flat on his face. Aphmau turns her head and looks forward in second hand embarrassment while Laurance tries to help Garroth up off the concrete.

So I just re-read this and it's so bad and so unlike what I usually do it's almost embarrassing. But I'm committed and kind of sleep deprived rn so I'm probably going to fixate on this for a fat minute 🤭

there's a place in harajuku an anon recommended me that has a 2nd floor with a bunch of aot stuff... fuuuck i cant remember the name of it but it was on takeshita street. i wish i could remember the name im sorry! it was a pretty big interior though and had a big staircase in the back of the room with anime cardboard cutouts (levi was there at the time), but you go up the stairs and theres a long path full of anime stuff there

don quixote (i think pretty much any of them, but the bigger ones might have more) also had some aot stuff with a bunch of other anime merch too

if you're going to osaka i highly recommend checking out the animate there (i found it was better than all the ones in tokyo? except maybe the ikebukuro one bc that one is HUGE), near the osaka animate there's a bunch of second-hand shops with anime stuff too, go to denden town it's basically like a mini akihabara

i highly recommend going to the second hand stores like book-off bc they had the most aot stuff out of anywhere i found. pretty much any store with bins of anime merch i just walked right in bc they had the most second-hand merch, it's where i found most of my aot stuff. secondhand stores around animates, side-streets of the main akihabara street, and in denden town osaka!!

So, after satisfying my educational needs by reading a bunch of books about asexuality (with mixed success, as some weren't very helpful) and trying to connect with the community on Tumblr (with no success, probably won't try again because memes about garlic bread and subjugating whole countries aren't very funny to me) I can finally go back to ignore and repress this issue in peace, haha.

I still greatly dislike it and yeah, I would give a lot to change it if I could - especially since people told me before that I'm unable to love (in an insulting way, not just as a fact) and I desperately wanted to prove them wrong. But alas, I can't change it. No one can, and sometimes you just have to swallow it and face the facts. So I guess I'll just have to learn how to feel like just having myself is good enough and get used to a life of solitude. I still dread the thought even now, but I consider myself a practical person...so if there's no way around it there's also no need to cry about it any longer, right? (And who am I kidding, I wouldn't have found a partner anyway :D) Still, that comes with the knowledge that a part of me will always be unhappy, which is not that nice, but there's nothing to be done about that either :/

Anyway, the people who followed me for other things will probably be happy to hear this...I must have been such an annoyance, lol. There might be one or two related posts in my queue (can't remember rn, but it's possible), but that's it. Time to go back to more important things, aka fandom stuff!
