Not sure if you would know the answer to this, but I went to the link at the bottom of the post on "Master Xuanzang (2009)", and the description on that site (translated by DeepL) said "the image of a feminine, cowardly and gender-unknown Tang Monk has been deeply engraved in the hearts of Chinese people." Have you heard that viewpoint before? Bc I wasn't aware. The thought of people seeing Tripitaka as "gender-unknown" (androgynous? nonbinary?) has kinda piqued my curiosity. Or maybe it's just a simple translation error?
I think they might be referring to the popular Monkey Magic series that really made headway in both Japan and Europe. This being a lot of the way that Xiyouji was introduced into the West with this show and other modern shows like Korean Odyssey or The Legends of the Monkey King on Netflix run with that idea of making Sanzang femme in the shows. There is also a lot of femme Sanzang in Japanese media but not a lot outside of that area honestly.
At least that is the best I can think of why they would say that… it is a very strange way that I thought was almost insulting honestly.
Edit: Adding list of media that Sanzang or other members of the pilgrimage of presenting as femme.

Sorry, but having Zuko actually fight back against Ozai during their Agni Kai is just wrong. He was a child, only 13 at the time, afraid to fight his own father and was mutilated as punishment, because Ozai saw Zuko's begging and unwillingness to fight as unforgiveable weakness.
The Angi Kai isn't meant to be a showcase of Zuko's fighting potential (that's what the Zhao fight is for), but to show the utter cruelty of Ozai.

"Do you miss the time when you used to do no harm?"
Old habits.
Merc behaviour is based on a nice little comment @up-in-flames-writing left on one of my comics :)
Rambling and more silly drawings below.
Loosely based on the Solemn Vow's public blurb:
Art lovers will cherish the bust of Hippocrates, commemorating a time when the Medic still thought doing no harm was a good idea.
I am absolutely convinced that Medic carries dextrose drops with him. German pharmacies throw these after you when you buy anything at all. I went to check if this one specific brand I know of had been around since the 60s and 70s and yes, it was.
Small acts of kindness I can see Medic doing is giving everyone one of these if they are tired. I'm talking about Engineer mostly.
Or they snack on them when solving practical problems together, like during the teleporter bread tumor incident.

When you started dating Tobio, you quickly took notice on his meticulousness and diligence when it came to his sport. This included taking a jog every morning without fail, filing his nails, writing in his volleyball journal, and eating the right meal. But this… this takes the cake.
“Tobio… what do you need all these shoes for?” you ask dumbfounded while standing in front of his wall filled with shelves of identical volleyball shoes.
He blinks at you before he grabs a pair and fiddles with it, “I couldn’t throw them away.”
“Yes? But why do you need this many? And identical ones at that? Did you not think to purchase a different design?”
“The mid-sole gets worn out quickly if you play every day,” he explains, “and a different design might feel different…”
You nod and take one, noticing a tag inside that has numbers on it, “but why keep them?”
“It has some sentimental value,” he says blushing, “actually this one,” he takes the shoe from you, “I was using during the time I met you.”
You beam at this, “That’s cute, Tobio! I didn’t know you were the sentimental type.”
…..
A month later during one of your dates you gifted him a new pair of shoes.
“Don’t worry about the design! It’s the same model and brand, just a different colorway.”
He nods, his eyes sparkling as he inspects it.
“Do you like it?”
He looks at you and smiles, “I love it.”
He didn’t use the shoes during the regular season and the VNL games, claiming it was too precious to wear. So imagine your surprise to see your boyfriend on television during the Olympics wearing the shoes you bought him months ago.

I saw the tv glow is crazy bc it’s a movie that genuinely makes you watch how your life could fall apart. Makes you watch how heavily repression can affect your life and how dangerous and sad it can be. But at the same time it’s like “hey, if you’re still alive there is still time, so keep going.”
I’ve genuinely never watched a movie that has given me so much sadness, but let’s me find a sense of hope, no matter how bittersweet, within that devastation.
