I was expecting it to take longer than that! If you go to the Zuru Surprise main page , their specific page is broken/missing but Quick Look (or the bottom of the page) lets you put in basket for pre-order.

I got the 2 pack - £13.99 is about where I thought the single pack would be, so that's not bad. Releases 1st January, estimated delivery date 6th.

Based on review videos these seem to be sixthscale - my plan is a "reborn doll" for Barbie.

After months of waiting for them to be sold in the U.S., I finally got my hands on a Zuru My Mini Baby surprise ball. The tiny silicone baby is adorable, with delicately painted features, and her skin is so soft to the touch. The surprise accessory was the little yellow stroller. Bonus picture of baby being held by big sister Brianna, my Only Hearts Club doll.

The Chelsea-fication continues!

While at Five Below, I got to see a Zuru Sparkle Girlz Mini and a Zuru Glitzeez Mini in the same context. The Glitzeez gal, who I bought on my last trip, is clearly a Kelly clone, similar in proportions to the old Sparkle Girlz Minis. Now look at the new Sparkle Girlz Mini! She's taller, thinner, and generally proportioned more like Chelsea.

Had their been a non-white gal in stock, I would have considered whether the face-up is cute enough to have one as a sample of the size difference. I'm leaning no, but sometimes the darker gal is prettier.

More tempting (though I still resisted) was a Sparkle Girlz-like entry at about 6 inches tall. Look at that articulation! I see knees and wrists, so I'm assuming elbows, too.

While she has a very Sparkle Girlz face-up, her brand is Brooklyn Lollipop, which is a distributor of various imported goodies. Their web site shows a bunch of "girls' toy" brands, but not Zoe.

Brooklyn Lollipop turns out to be the distributor of Sophie, who's living the standard fashion-doll lifestyle with variants as rock star, princess, dog walker, and baby sitter or teacher.

Sophie has brand extensions! The one I want to see in person is Sophie Sixteen, which has nothing to do with Sophie being sixteen. It's largely Evi Love-style 4.5" dolls living an Evi Love-style life (dog-walking, slumber parties, long drives in the car), plus one 6" girl with a horse.

I was at Five Below (as well as Walmart and Target) because I was looking for Ken fashion packs. Having just one Ken, I immediately want him to be well-dressed. He's currently wearing a flannel shirt from an excellent fashion pack I bought at Cliff's Hardware in the Castro back in 2016.

Current Barbie and Ken fashion packs are mostly trash. The quality makes the mid-2010s Sparkle Girlz fashion packs look like haute couture. Everything is just a loose whatever, with the hems serged. If I could find thin 2-way stretch fabric, I could sew this crap in less time than it takes to neatly open a store-bought package. Plus Ken's job apparently is Beach, as forget long pants! So I will be watching YT tutorials on how to make sweaters out of socks, and reupping my neglected pants-making skills. Ken deserves better than this.

Turns out we’ve actually spent the last like couple of weeks without a phone because the previous one was a lemon and to cut to the chase we’re only staying because we managed to keep our phone number. If we had to change numbers we’d be changing to a free phone company. 

But it was going to the store to get the last bullshit with the phone done and over with that got the dolls Pez and chili. That’s Heath, a guy colored Volks Neo Goh, and it’s possible he’s older than some of you reading this because I got him very early this century but I don’t remember the exact year. He’s a chef.

Okay, here’s what it is with the Zuru 5 Surprise Mini Brands- most of the things are “common” so there’s an even amount of them going around. There are less of metallic (like that Pez), glow in the dark (like the cupcakes I’d like to get), and gold ones. Find some friends or small children to trade with. They’re new so hold off on paying too much for a lot of this shit. 

I personally have no problem paying $2 a piece with shipping for items. By the time my orders come in I’ll have most of the common ones. That’s a fair price to not have to deal with getting to a store, finding they’re out, and everything else like dealing with the balls because I want a package of Mentos gum for the dollhouse. 

Since I was lucky enough to find the Pez the only other limited one I’d be interested in would be the cupcakes. But in a way a bottle of Kikoman teriyaki would mean more to the dolls and me than cupcakes. 

The dolls eat better than me anyway.

I also feel I used up my luck at that store for awhile because I got the two sets of name brand Shopkins because my dolls needed Circus Animals cookies. This absolutely does not mean any more Shopkins unless they make another batch of real food packages. There’s something unsettling about them. 

At least they’re mini food. I’m okay with cute mini sentient food. The hamburger on my charm bracelet is from Charm U and has a face. 

Now, if I can figure out how to put a jewelry thing on them so I can turn them in to charms, like with some of the spare Mini Brands, I’ll be happier. 

Otherwise one of my dolls will be happy to have them as toys. I have a Dollzone BB who’s about the right size (Yo-SD) to hold them. Or they’ll look cute as decor in the doll grocery store I have been wanting to do for awhile. 

See, when you’re child free you don’t have to keep your stuff out of their reach. You just have to watch other peoples’ kids eyeing your cart when you leave it outside of the powder room and hope it’s there when you come back out. 

Look up the history of the Dutch Baby House, miniature doll sized houses as we know them were invented for grown women.

For other stuff I’ve been battling the anemia. Haven’t had energy to read much or start that Spiderverse DVD among others. My general straitening up for company is done so aside from vacuuming and picking up a few odd things I’ll be good which is good. 

Can reach my art supplies, charms and some beading stuff, collage stuff, crochet and lace thread, some doll stuff, books, DVDs, just about everything so my brain can still feel bored out of it’s gourd.

I understand now all the different stuff and “hobbies” I have are because my brain is looking for a fix to make the chemicals it needs. Miniature plastic crack is better than real crack. It’s also a big part of why I don’t like to “gamble” with blind bags and hold myself to strict and complicated rules about them. 

That’s not the type of reward I’m looking for, I want to be happy because I read something, watched something, made something, or learned something. Making a meal, cleaning up after myself, doing my laundry I treat as accomplishments and reward myself for them. 

If I can do it you can do it.

Crochet/knitting patterns for Zuru Mini Baby?

They're tiny (2.5 inch) so we're already narrowed down to "people determined enough to work with tiny hooks" but they need some clothes, and I'm struggling.

(Doesn't help that the arms and legs are bent - cute, and realistic, but it makes things weird around the shoulder/underarm.)

Anyone seen any good ones?

Zuru My Mini Baby Series 2

Interesting range! I'm curious what they're going to be made of since they look slightly different to the previous batch, but it's hard to tell.

Shame the eyes are still shut - I guess it's hard to do good eyes at that size.

Nice to know they did well enough for a second series.

I'll definitely try pick some up just to see what they're like (Currently I have 4 from series 1, managed through sheer luck to end up with a full set of the furniture though missed out on the dark-skinned baby, I only got light and medium.)

My miniature doll room

Hello and welcome to the doll room!

This was a special project made for me by my mom. She's a Barbie collector and loves crafting little room boxes for them with tiny realistic accessories. When she asked if I wanted a room box, I was tempted to say no because I'm not into Barbies or dolls their size, but then I saw, fully formed in my imagination, a miniature doll room. And she delivered. Pretty much everything you see in the above photo was made by her: the crib, the chair, the curtain, and even the potted plants!

I expected nothing less than this. I come from several generations of doll collectors, enthusiasts, and artists. My mom was already a talented miniature maker by the time I was born, having taken classes in making them for several years. Her classmates even made her this mini nursery to celebrate my birth! She also made this lovely Victorian dollhouse. She's the real deal when it comes to all things mini.

The Barbie here in the comfy chair represents me, and the comfy clothes I wear at home. She's holding her newest doll, a Zuru My Mini Baby. I'm glad that at least she has a silicone reborn baby doll, because I certainly will never be able to afford a life-sized one for myself. So I live vicariously through her in that way.

Sometimes Briana comes by for a visit! She's very careful when playing with the dolls, since some are vintage and fragile.

On the left is the chair my mom made. On the right are the mini American Girl posters. The reborn baby is in her stroller.

Most of her dolls stand on their shelves. My mom acquired most of these. I contributed the dolls on the bottom shelf, above the compartments. The one on the left is mini Isabelle Palmer (an American Girl crossover with McDonald's happy meal toys).

The next shelf above them is the American Girl doll shelf. These all came from Mega Bloks Construct sets. In the middle is Kit with her scooter and her dog Grace riding inside. Above that shelf are the tiny dolls. I bought the little porcelain doll on the left at last year's local doll show. And the top shelf is Disney and fantasy characters. I don't actually have any Disney dolls, but these look cute in the mini room, and I'm definitely not going for total accuracy here. That would be impossible.

Here's the bay window. My mom made the flowers and the green plant in the middle. She showed me how she made the colorful flowers and it's so easy, but my mind is still blown at how amazing they turned out.

The window is clear plastic. I added the scene out the window. It's from a calendar, and is a view of the San Francisco volcanic field in northern Arizona. It's a somewhat close resemblance to what I see when I look out my house's windows.

On the other side is the crib with the baby dolls. The three blonde babies are Barbie babies. I have no idea what the baby on the left is.

On this end of the crib are vintage Tiny Blessings dolls.

And the animal shelf is above the crib.

DouBaoZi Doll - review of tiny, tiny doll.

My understanding is the name means "Sweet Bun", I've just copied it from the site as written. There are 6 dolls on offer - some options for full sets, some just the doll. I got DouZi, who seems to be the most popular going by order numbers on the site.

They're 7cm tall. I thought I knew tiny, I've had PukiPukis and met RealPukis, these are *tiny*. They're also very affordable - doll with face up, eyes, wig, and shipping to UK was 143 USD.

I bought mine from LulaDoll.cn - I hadn't heard of them before but checked them out on DoA, and my experience with them was excellent.

At time I ordered some listings advised 2-3 months, some 3-4, plus 20 days for face up and 15-30 days for shipping. I ordered on 30th April, and my parcel was ready for delivery on 20th July. (Only downside, they use Yodel in the UK, but it all worked out.) So that's less than 3 months total.

Doll wrapped in tissue paper, one finger for scale. (This was the point where I was going "Holy shit this is tiny". I knew logically she was, but there's tiny and then there's tiny.)

One DouBaoZi, next to a Zuru My Mini Baby. She's slightly taller than the baby (which measures about 2.5inch/6.35cm stretched out) but slightly slimmer. She's double jointed - I'm still working out posing, but she has a decent range of motion and sits easily.

She's *adorable*. I'm really happy - I found out these dolls existed when I'd just missed out on getting a PukiPuki and was searching Tumblr, found this post and fell in love. I definitely want more later on. I've been looking on IG and it's interesting how much the expressions vary based on the face up. I've seen ones of this mold that look sad, cheeky, thoughtful, and polite. I'd say this one looks a bit wistful, but I'll decide on name etc once she has her own clothes.

I'm mildly obsessed with these adorable My Mini Baby silicone baby dolls by the brand Zuru. They're teeny tiny and come in a surprise ball with a surprise accessory. I know they're available in Australia and maybe parts of Asia, but I don't think they're available in the United States yet.

That dress she's swimming in is from one of my Zuru Mini Babies, buttoned tighter at the back. (Where her arms move she should be easier to crochet for, but this will do for now.)

She's so adorable. But wow - I knew logically she was little but when I was looking at the 1/24 stuff I kept going no, that can't be right. But no. TINY.

That's in the hand of an 18 inch Kidz N Cats doll, so basically a skinny American Girl Doll.

I only found out about these dolls today, they're the tiniest BJD I've ever seen. (DouBaoZi Dolls, on LuLaDoll.)

I thought PukiPuki were little (11.2cm.) These are 7cm. That's ridiculous.
