Heroes of Goo-Jit-Zu Haunts Me

Because its 100% my aesthetic but in a format that I literally can't stand to touch.

Look at this! Homage-De-MOTU-Leech? Some manner of underpainted Prussian Ankylosaurus? Nine and a half inches of King Ghidorah's reverse-fursona? (I will not rephrase!)

Those designs at 1/2 size in a PVC plastic?

I'd be drowning in them. It wouldn't scratch my Battle Beasts itch, but it would come darn close.

But they are a sensory-issue nightmare for me to touch.

And even if I was an in-package type (which I am not), I've zero faith in the long-term storage of what amounts to hot water balloons of corn syrup and/or Orbeez.

Zuru's finally started to make some non-squishy humanoids, but they're few and far between.

Though the first wave of them looks frikkin' awesome. I get the feeling that the action figure community has been sleeping on these, particularly in the OG TMNT/Street Sharks/Extreme Dinosaurs zone, but I can't be sure without an on-hand sample... or three.

An amazon gift card gave me a preview via the larger-scale light-and-sound Zombosaur, but he's not exactly representative. Not just for his size...

I'm going to review him eventually, but he's not exactly representative of the smaller figures since he's about 10 inches tall, has limited articulation (due to action features, so not a slam) and has a talking eyeball lodged in his larynx in a horrifying twist on the legend of Mimir.

Odin may have traded his eye for wisdom, but his eye traded Odin to get swole.

This reminds me of something....

On YouTube, I saw a Cartier ad with Lily Collins and she reminded me of something that had made me think of her in the past. But more so this time.

In the past, this exact same doll made me think of a certain Netflix series Lily stars in.

I can't stop making comparisons.

When I say that I want a Lily Collins Barbie doll, it's because Integrity Toys made me connect those dots and I can't afford a Poppy Parker.

If I could, I'd have this and the Miraculous Eiffel Tower playset to display her in.

But don't think that Lily Collins/Emily Cooper doesn't remind of Barbie too. She does. I'll prove it.

Also, Mini Brands Netflix has Emily in Paris minis.

I almost forgot the G1 Monster High Scaris Cafe playset. And the car.

Found a BarbieStyle fashion pack that's very reminiscent of an Emily in Paris outfit.

My doll diorama is finally up! Once again, we have a Christmas morning scene, though this time I wanted to feature my adorable Christmas Barbie pajamas I've had for years rather than the sweaters. They're definitely easier to get on and off LOL. Why aren't the kids wearing pajamas? Because I don't own any Kelly or Chelsea Christmas PJs...maybe next year I'll have some LOL.

The Weirdest Toy-Candy Combo I've Seen to Date

Zuru, the toy dinosaur people, have this new thing called "Gumi Yum Surprise", clearly trying to bite Kinder Joy's style and at more or less the same price point. And look, the plastic egg it comes in is all gummy colors!

Except that's not the plastic egg.

That's the actual gummy. The candy is in strips around the egg that you peel off and eat before opening. This is a neat idea, but also makes holding onto the package until you're done essential, as it's an egg, you can't stand it up in a way that the gummy surface won't hit the table or whatever you set it on.

Once you strip away the festive gummy layers (which were decent, kinda like slightly sweeter and firmer Jello Jigglers) you pop open the egg and there's a kit toy inside.

In my case, a baby T-rex.

Not bad, Zuru.

I got a 3d printed bookcase from etsy for all my little books! Some are mini brands, some are myfroggystuff, and the nancy drews I got as a printout from etsy for $5

Zuru Toy Mini Brand x Tamagotchi Original Miniatures

These have actually been available for a few years now, but we haven’t wrote about them! Mini Brands are the real brands that of things you know and love in your hand. There are over 90 miniatures of your favorite brands to collect. In these capsules that you can find at toy stores and other department stores, you’ll receive 5 mystery miniatures in every capsule.

There are two versions of miniature Tamagotchi’s, one that was released a few years back, and the more recent one with updated packaging. It looks like they’ll need to update the miniatures again with the rebrand! There are even different Tamagotchi Original shell designs too, which make them super collectable!
