日本浮游系樂團「sleepy.ab 」首次來台公演

日本北海道札幌出身的浮游系樂團「sleepy.ab 」首次來台公演。sleepy.ab由主唱成山剛、吉他手山内憲介以及貝斯手田中秀幸組成，三人營造出平靜怡人氛圍的樂曲，確立在抽象且曖昧的世界。團名後綴.ab意思為”abstract” （抽象）又具有”absolute” （絕對）性。樸實優美的旋律與聲線，在空間中飛揚交錯，繪製出抒情的音樂風景。本次在台北的演出邀請到包覆在細膩歌詞外衣，融合著另類搖滾及多種樂風的「Hello Nico」一同共演；至於高雄則邀請到將夜色點綴漸暖的磁性暖陽女聲「黃玠瑋」一同演出。 (more…)

Some acoustic beauties before I hit the hay...

Zooey Wonder 黃玠瑋 and her guitar for 例假日/DAY OFF YT channel. This song is much more electronic on her 2017 Wonderland album, (LISTEN HERE), but it’s a treat to hear it in a stripped-down arrangement, possibly the way she first wrote it?  

And another quiet tune here, this is 南西肯恩 Neci Ken recorded by Soul Live Box 台灣原創現場.  Lovely vocals from this duo of 鄭雅薇 Neci Wei-voc & 陳弘育 Ken Chen-voc/gtr.)

Let’s check out 鄭興 Leon Zheng, this is his new single.  So gentle and touching!  =D

With the TW Ministry of Culture recording grants announcement (see our previous post) happening at the same time as the ruling by the Council of Grand Justices about *Same-sex Marriage: Marriage restrictions ‘unconstitutional’, TW bands were chirping quite a bit on fb today & yesterday. =D

Glimpse of Friday/Saturday.  I think a lot of indie fans were torn in several directions this weekend, it just seems like a bunch of good shows all at the same time with similar appeal.  Can’t attend them all, whaddyagonnado?

Zooey Wonder 黃玠瑋 album launch on Friday at Legacy Taichung, with special guest Annie Hung 洪安妮. (Annie photo and extensive concert review by Kimi Xue over at her wordpress.) 

Also on Friday, the tour finale at Legacy Taipei for Vast & Hazy. I highly recommend checking out photos by Spacerocker Photography and ShoLar Photography, they both posted great shots!

Earlier tonight in Kaohsiung: Anniedora 安妮朵拉 at In Our Time, and Waa Wei Ruxuan 魏如萱 at K-Arena. The Waa photo posted by 蕭賀碩 Shuo Hsiao, who hinted at another arena concert happening in late July in Taipei.

View of the staging for Waa by 賴爰如. I’d like to see a wider view to be sure, but it looks like WaWa had plenty of room to walk around and interact with fans in every direction.  =D
