I hate it when people change the lyrics of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas".

There's several popular versions out there that changes "If The Fates Allow" to "If The Lord Allows".

No. You will accept the pagan elements of the holiday. Don't try and erase the Greek Myth reference with a generic Jesus reference.

Also, controversial take, but the original "Until then we'll have to muddle through somehow" is superior to "Hang a shining star upon the highest bow".

The song is supposed to be bittersweet, and it works better as a continuation of the previous two lines: "Someday soon we all will be together/If the Fates allow".
