So why is that Night of Wallachia is impossible in Fate worlds? Is it just because Crimson Moon isn't around?

What ultimately turned Zepia into TATARI was a contract with Altrouge, which we know he never signed in the Fate/ worlds.

The possibilities, in order from more reasonable to crazier, are:

Zepia wouldn't think the contract is worth it in a world where he can't get Idea Blood.

Altrouge can't use her contracts without her own Idea Blood.

Altrouge straight up doesn't exist in Fate/ worlds. She was never mentioned there, and Fou, supposedly her loyal dog, joined a different family in Chaldea.

For the last week or so on reddit AZii_snsphx has been translating volume 6 of Case Files, which is the arc set after Rail Zeppelin and is the one about Gray’s backstory.

On the one hand, I think it’s a bit rude to do this when TwilightsCall has said he still plans to finish his own TL (which is currently almost done with volume 5), but on the other hand, as someone who relies on translations this is something I’ve wanted to read for a while now so I can’t help but appreciate the work.

This morning they put what’s done so far all in one place in a google doc and will update it as they continue.

Can't stop thinking about Habenyan mentioning all fairies have a purpose, and they're unable to fully leave that purpose, and Oberon is the Autumm Court's Fairy King, the season where things fall and die, and his domain is the Forest of Wales, which he explicitly states is "a place of relaxation for withering things", and he is here to help us kill Morgan and give the Lostbelt a peaceful end, and how this connects and is opposed to his Melty Blood namesake, and hhhhhhhhh

You know how before Oberon was announced there was a theory that the last silhouette that was shown way back then was going to be Zepia as Oberon's pseudo? So now that Oberon was revealed and apparently his art doesn't match the silhouette, what if it is Zepia in some form after all, but he will be added in either the potential Melty Blood collab (unlikely for several reasons) or in Case Files rerun (would explain such a long delay if they are waiting for anime news).

sion spends the whole of melty blood and the three years before it believing wallachia spared her life because she’s his descendant and feeling disgusted at the thought of being related to him, disgusted that this horrible stain on her family history would take pity on her for being an eltnam when he’s the reason the eltnam name is such a burden to bear in the first place. she tells herself that if she just redeems the eltnam name, if she finds an answer to the wallachia problem, then she’ll have a solution for her struggle to function as a human being. if she fixes what is wrong with her bloodline then somehow she will be fixed as well. 

but when she finally gets to confront wallachia about why she alone was allowed to survive three years ago he’s like nah, you being my actual descendant is not what I meant. I called you my kin because neither of us can exist without leeching off other people’s minds, looking into the deepest darkest crevices of their hearts and taking whatever we need without granting so much as a glimpse of our own thoughts in return. that is sion’s problem, and her answer. this isn’t about blood and its ties, both of them would be vampires even if they weren’t bloodsuckers.

though not in a form that sion could really accept, wallachia is one of very few people who ever acknowledged her. if it’s you I’ll let you live, if it’s you I’ll gladly pass on the tatari, if it’s you you’ll be able to reach the sixth, my wonderful daughter sion eltnam. but while he’s among very few he’s not the only one, before him there was riesbyfe, who gave her life to protect sion as if it was natural, and after him there was shiki, who stuck with her as a friend as if it was natural. wallachia understands sion on a level nobody including her does until he spells it out, and he’s right that sion can’t interact with others as a person, because wallachia is just the logical extreme of the way both of them relate to the world. but riesbyfe and shiki treated sion like a person anyway, no matter how weird and stilted she was, so she knows that just because she isn’t a person doesn’t mean she can’t be one. 

sion kills wallachia by embracing what he acknowledges her as - a vampire that survives by stealing information from others - when she digs into the depths of his being to drag riesbyfe back out and shoot him dead with a bullet made of ries’ shield, an embodiment of the genuine bonds sion was able to form in spite of her vampiric existence. melty blood has various ends where sion gets revenge or overcomes her vampiric impulses and gains the determination to keep searching for a way to live but she only obtains true closure for the events of three years ago in the game’s true end, where wallachia acknowledges her as fellow eltnam, as fellow vampire, and as fellow atlas alchemist, because only with that acknowledgement does she come to understand herself well enough to make peace with herself, defeat wallachia as fellow eltnam, vampire, and alchemist, and move forward.

the acknowledgement goes both ways. wallachia is defeated by being forced into the shape of a person, by being acknowledged as zepia rather than wallachia for the first time in centuries. only after sion invades wallachia’s thoughts and blasts his brains out with what she found, the same way wallachia has always killed people with the things taken from deep in their hearts, does he willingly open up as a person and share his weakness as a person with sion, the fears of the end of the world that drove zepia to become the night of wallachia so long ago. private information not taken by force but freely given between two people who understand each other, who have seen and acknowledged each other as being the same.

after three years of anger at the pity she was shown, sion pities wallachia, zepia, in turn. because they really are the same, not just as vampires unable to exist on their own but as rejects of the titan’s pit unable to bear their despair on their own. zepia on his own became night of wallachia, sion on her own becomes dust of osiris, and only the sion with shiki by her side is able to become herself. but the zepia that got to raise sion isn’t crushed by his knowledge of the end, and the sion raised by zepia is as positive and annoying as him, and neither of them have invented any fucked up new mental illnesses just by existing. because they’re the same and can’t exist on their own, so the versions of them that were together are doing just fine.

"Goals" is the absolute least appropriate word to use in regards to Relius Clover and Zepia Eltnam Atlasia unless we are talking about aesthetics, in which case, absolutely "goals".

Do you think it is also supposed to be Mantle backwards ? Because I saw it written Eltnum sometimes, and I thought that it was a fitting name for Zepia and his cool cape.

This makes a lot of sense, actually. Mantles are such a huge part of the vampire aesthetic. I have no idea how I missed that, because I did consider messing with anagrams.
