25 Years of #Zakhm (25/12/1998).

Directed and written by Mahesh Bhatt, Zakhm was produced by him along with Pooja Bhatt. The film stars notable actors such as Ajay Devgn, Kunal Khemu, Pooja Bhatt, Sonali Bendre, and #Nagarjuna.

It is inspired by the life of Mahesh Bhatt's mother, Shirin Mohammad Ali, with Pooja Bhatt playing her character. Zakhm received acclaim for its contribution to national integration, earning the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film, and Ajay Devgn won his first National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in the movie.

The film's success is also attributed to key contributors like Girish Dhamija, who wrote the dialogues, Tanuja Chandra and Mahesh Bhatt for the screenplay, and Mukesh Bhatt as a producer.

The film's engaging visuals were captured by cinematographer Nirmal Jani, while Sanjay Sankla handled the editing. The memorable music score was composed by M. M. Keeravani, with lyrics by Anand Bakshi, adding depth to this celebrated film.

When Parveen Shakir says:

People say "time heals; it helps you forget everything."

But Ahmed faraz wrote:

phir bhi maazi ka khayal aata hai gahe-gahe,

muddate dard ki lau kam to nahi kar sakti,

zakhm bhar jaye magar daagh to rah jaata hai,

duriyo se kabhi yaade to nahi mar sakti.

Even so, thoughts of the past come back now and then. Time might ease the pain but it won't end. Wounds may heal, but the scars still stay. Memories won't die, no matter how far away.

But meri jaan in Urdu we say, "Tu ibtida-e-ishq ki yun mujhse iltija na kar kuch zakhm sookh chuke hain tu unhe hara na kar"💕
