Top 10 things about MTP Sherlock and his violin that send me into a coma- as a violinist

1- I’ve read multiple fics where it’s mentioned his violin is a Stradivarius; I refuse to believe that like HOW THE F

2- On that note, he has the best sort of violin know to men and just throws it around and even breaks its strings from misuse. And that leaving out the fact bro doesn’t even practice every day☠️ meat only falls on vegans plates smh

3- the scene where those guys piss on “his” violin☠️ it wasn’t his Stradivarius but it was still a violin and probably a good one. That was physically painful to see

4- the fact he ended up in America without his violin 💔

5- the fact he fucked up his arm in the fall and it will probably decrease his ability 

6- the fact he probably didn’t buy a violin in America and went three years without practicing 

7- his Stradivarius was alone. Unused. Catching dust. For three years 

8- he probably makes use of drugs next to his violin, god, I bet he’s tried sniffing his rosin

9- he probably plays his violin after touching corpses in crime scenes, not even bothering to wash his hands first 

10- something tells me he’s tried putting out a cigarette by pressing its edge to the violin wood

can somebody with a more STEM-oriented brain than mine explain what William means about being more interested in the Fibonacci sequence, particularly as it relates to the stairs? I was trying to read an article about the golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence and how they relate to each other and my brain noped out so hard I think I forgot how to read. I need to be able to convincingly fake being this brand of smart for two-lines-in-a-fic purposes lmao. 😅😅

Look I know I'm late to the game (story of my life) but when I first started watching ynm two weeks ago, I knew I was going to ship Sherliam. What I did not expect was for it to be so canon. I'm so used to them being "open to interpretation" as many say, or there being some other character they're more canonly paired with, that Sherliam literally having love letters and being "omg and they were roommates!" caught me off guard in the best possible way.
