Okay! So a couple of friend and I in a discord server were speculating what Yui from Go! Princess Precure would look like if she was 6th Ranger.

Now this is not to say her not becoming 6th ranger is a bad thing, the opposite really! She’s one of Precure’s best supporting characters, hell I’d even say she IS the best supporting character in Pretty Cure.

This is just a fun fan creation of what one of my fave characters would look like if she was given a key and perfume.

So…Here she is! Cure Fable, Princess of the Forest!

Now I won’t lie, her design was easier than figuring out her theme. A lot of renditions of Yui show her as the Princess of wind/air. But…ehhhh… it just didn’t fit to me. Since she wants to be a storybook author I started thinking how that will play with her theme.

Then it hit me! Lots of stories, specifically fairy tales, happen in the forest no? And add in the mystical vibe of forests it just made sense. Alsoitgavemeanexcusetomakeheragreencure- AHEM.

Anyway, I also tried to think of her other Key Transformations/Mode Elegants as well. The names were hard to figure out at first but I think these are pretty good.

Cure Masterpiece (PreCure Unity Linkage)

“The Princess of Inspiring Artwork! Cure Masterpiece!”

For PreCure Unity Linkage (You can find the roster Here), I decided to pull off a Hugtto and give almost every PreCure Ally + Redeemed Villain a Cure/Black Pepper treatment!

Here is Yui Nanase, who has become Cure Masterpiece!!

And for those of you who ask- she’s NOT this season’s Green Cure despite her dress being green- that’ll be Yuuki Aihara, who’ll be getting the Cure form of Cure Champion. Instead, she’s a RAINBOW cure!!

I used a Renaissance style princess dress for her outfit- because the Renaissance is one of the greatest time periods for art and creativity in general. Also, the skirt will be shortened for her normal mode and extend for her Mode Elegant- with Teardrops being on the bows (Even if you can’t see them in the picture)! And she gets Acrylic Paint Flowers and Watercolor Water Lilies for her alternate Mode Elegants.

Her shoes will look like this- albeit more clean, girly, and colorful with Crystal teardrops on them. (Her earrings are the tips of paintbrushes btw!) The painting is Shoes by legendary artist Vincent Van Gogh.

Last but not least, I pulled off a Cure Scarlet and gave her a new weapon- the Masterpiece Palette! She can insert her dress up keys into the brush to unleash her attacks.

I hope this happens again because I really wanna see her break out of it all on her own at some point

i really like how Yui is a main member of the cast with the precures. gives the cast a feel of being an actual friend group, where a lot of other series will end up feeling more like the main group is kind of isolated. side characters help, but i can't think of another precure series that had a reoccurring side character show up this much, and particularly, framed in this way

And not only will the Cures themselves be given linkers, but also the secondary characters- because I feel like they deserve a day in the spotlight.
