Hey so I'm angry at YouTube now over what I learned they did yesterday, from what I learned apparently the reasons the Lunar and Earth Show got deleted. So one of the reasons YouTube deleted the channel was cuz they accused the voice actors of partaking in scams relating to Lunar Plush bootleg merchandise of one of their characters being sold on TEMU. But Davis made it clear on his Twitch Stream that him and his colleagues were not taking part in that and they were accused of this. And the second reason which Davis pointed out was because of one of their characters called "Dazzle the Deer" and over the fact that they revealed their backstory about what happened to Dazzle when she was alive and called "Evelyn" which which involves Sun getting possessed by BloodMoon and murdering her, and YouTube deemed it to violent resulting in what is happening now. Davis also said they had three requests sent to YouTube already to try and get the show back up and running but they were all denied, he made it aware to us that he only had one request left and if it gets denied then the Lunar and Earth Show will be gone for good. So he asked us his viewers to get the word out to try and make everyone aware of the situation any way possible on all platforms we have. And since Davis doesn't have an account here on Tumblr and there's a lot of people I saw here who are fans of the show i wanted to help by starting here so I wanted to make awareness of this to try and get people to make noise and get YouTube to reinstall the Lunar and Earth Show so it's not gone forever.
Davis Explaining the LAES situation:
From what I know, he does have an account here?? I'll have to double check, though
But yeah,, I knew about the Temu accusations, but the thing with Dazzle is new to me. How the hell is that too violent, and yet, graphic videos of people doing surgeries on animals are allowed, in which it shows them bleeding everywhere??? Everything with Dazzle was done in VRCHAT, so not only was there no blood, there was also nothing gruesome directly shown. All we know was stuff that was spoken about, with little to no graphic details involved

Ok I pray that it will keep like that!
I changed the video for the x. time and now it seems that there is no issue (although most of the footage is still there... logic? There is none...)
YouTube really sucks... But I hope it does now work.
My hands hurt, my head hurts, my whole body hurts...
It is 02:18 in the morning (for me)... Good night!

YouTube's scummy practice of removing swear words from closed captions and why we shouldn't accept it
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't usually call YouTube out on this blog but this is just disgusting and unacceptable.
YouTube is removing swear words from auto-generated closed captions instead of censoring them or even including them.
This annoys me because A) it's insulting to deaf people who obviously depend on subtitles while watching videos on YouTube, and B) the removal of Community Captions in September 2020 makes this even worse because you can't add captions to other people's videos anymore, that is, captions that are actually accurate and include swear words instead of removing them.
Almost nobody has been calling YouTube out for this bullshit, and that just infuriates me. The fact that YouTube prioritises age-restricting videos that have the word "fuck" in their titles over inclusive design just shows how little they care about accessibility.
We need to start calling YouTube out for being assholes to deaf people, because it's a scummy and immoral practice to remove swear words from subtitles.
Thank you for reading. Please reblog to spread awareness!

AdTube (which is what I’m just gonna start calling YouTube now, it’s what they deserve) is playing a dangerous game of fuck around and find out with that “Adblockers are not allowed” popup bullshit. Apparently it’s been around for a few months but now it’s getting seen more often. As of right now they’re not doing anything about you using it if you X out of the popup, but I’m willing to bet they’ll START doing something about it.
This is where the “fuck around and find out” comes in for them though. You keep pushing that shit and all that’s gonna happen is:
1. Viewers and Creators both straight up give up on the platform and abandon/migrate from it (presumably to something new if and when it’s made).
2. Adblockers will evolve to find a way around it.
3. People will simply use it less, as I don’t see the Premium option being any more popular than it currently is.
People already hate paying for subscriptions and from what I hear YouTube Premium is flaming hot shit, so that workaround seems out of the question. If you hadn’t made the ads absolutely unbearable then people wouldn’t have felt the need to download Adblockers in the first place.
BTW AdTube is currently sitting at a net worth of almost 30 BILLION US dollars. They are not hurting for money. They’re just doing what every other platform is doing - becoming insufferable ad-obsessed money leeches who hate every last one of their users.
Go fuck yourself Adtube.

YouTube has been serving me a lot of Daily Wire ads, especially after I watched a HasanAbi video or a Jammidodger video...like I knew YouTube was fucked but like to actively put that far right bullshit on videos of a muslim leftist and a trans man is just so messed up.

"THE WEIRDEST, MOST MYSTERIOUS [platform user] IN THE WORLD! #creepy #rabbithole #omg!"
It's some artist or art collective hoping to go viral. That's it. That's all it EVER is.
...Except for that deranged Instagram guy in the UK that we all accused of being a PDF file and proceeded to terrorize IRL. That was the one genuinely mysterious one out of a thousand.
You know the one.
And yes, he is goddamn bizarre. And we went after him with a stick. So settle down with wanting to find genuine freaks, because, justified or not, you suburban children clearly can't handle it.
You would not have survived the dialup days. Everyone on there was some kind of junkyard mutant, and they posted their full names and addresses, and we did, too! We mailed things to each-other and faxed them our credit card numbers! Every message board was 52 60 year old men without pants and unsupervised 12 year olds RPing with them!
...Which was not good. My point is, the concentration of easily-accessible freaks was a lot higher on the pre-corporate web, and we didn't even flinch. That's just what it was.
The first gif I ever saw in like 1998 was a literal thumbnail-sized half-second loop, of pornography so dark I could not before then have even imagined such things were possible! And it was just some guy's news group avatar! And Internet Explorer just autosaved that to the IE system folder of my family's communal PC!
We made friends on Rotten.com, the unrestricted website where average middle schoolers checked in every day to see actual photos of half-peeled corpses. This was what the "normal" people did when we got home from school.
Again. Not defending it. I'm just saying your 45 minute YouTube video about some group of fine art students posting pictures of themselves in creepy masks is not really worth the effort, because that is only notable now because most of the Internet is owned by people who make money from it being PG-13. It is a lot rarer for the genuinely gonzo stuff to slip through anymore.
Of course TikTok is apparently shrugging about promoting overtly illegal content over there, and to children no less. So I guess that place is destined to get pretty legit scary until the State Department drives THEM off with a stick.

Yall can we please realize for one second how shit and stubborn content farms are?? Why tf do you think they've always been a problem???
I've seen people blame me for the content farm videos saying I could have stopped them, as if I'm not the one feeling the most pained and disgraced by their existence.
I've talked to Glitch about it when they first started showing up, plus several other times when people kept asking me to do something about them, but nothing will be enough to stop them. I can be your scapegoat if you want, but it's not going to change anything.
When all is said and done, I hope at the very least, Digital Circus can be a somewhat enjoyable show in a vacuum. My job is to write and direct a show, so that's what I'm going to be focusing my efforts on. I don't know whether or not I'll succeed, but I'm going to try.
