Job Announcements in Nirmala Sitharaman’s Union Budget 2024

The revised model skill loan scheme will facilitate loans up to Rs 7.5 lakh with guarantees from a government-promoted fund. This scheme aims to benefit 25,000 students per year

3. Roadmap for Job Growth

Sitharaman outlined incentives for job growth, stating that incentives will be provided to both employees and employers in the first four years of employment. She said, “All employment within a salary of Rs 1 lakh per month will be counted. The government will reimburse employers Rs 3,000 per month towards EPFO contributions for two years for each additional employee.”

4.Three Schemes for Employment Generation

To further boost employment, the government will set up three schemes focused on employment generation. The first scheme will provide a one-month wage to all persons newly entering the workforce across all sectors. This first-time employment scheme is expected to benefit 2.1 crore youths.

These initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to job creation and youth empowerment, aiming to provide substantial support to both employers and employees in the coming years.

5 Employment schemes run by the Indian Government

The Government of India always takes initiatives to improve the economic growth of the country by encouraging various projects and schemes. To provide livelihood opportunities to rural citizens and returnee migrant workers.

To reduce the hardships of poor families due to the economic disruption caused by the Corona outbreak.

The benefits of GKRA

It is beneficial for the poor disabled, poor seniors, and poor widows, as the government will pay Rs. 1000 in ex-gratia for approximately 3 crore people.

More than 81.35 crore individuals will receive 5 kg of free rice or wheat per head per month, including 1 kg of free whole chana for every family once a month.

5) Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY)

DDU-GKY is a youth employment scheme that was launched on September 25, 2014, on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhaya. The scheme aims to "transform rural poor youth into an economically independent and globally relevant workforce."

The main purpose of DDU-GKY

To give wage employment to the youth in rural sectors.

To improve the skills and capacity of rural poor youth in order to meet basic domestic and global skill requirements.

Post-placement support to individuals.

75% of the trained members were placed.

Plot: You are a rookie in your first f1 season, adding to the ever-growing amount of Brits performing in the grid.

"And we here at Audi on our debut into Formula One are happy to announce our line up for this year. We have taken on Alexander Albon, and a new driver from the last F2 season to keep the youth of the grid, Y/N Y/L/N, the first female Formula One driver of the century" Andreas Seidl announces and cameras flash all around the press conference.

"So Alex is moving from Williams to an Audi, after not having a great seasons from 2021 in his reserve roll in Red Bull to him moving down as a Williams driver, why have you put your trust in a driver that hasn't been performing?" the interviewer asked. Andreas shuffles in his seat a little leaning closer to the mic.

"Well Alex's performance in Red Bull were phenomenal especially for a rookie. Unfortunately Red Bull decided to pull their finances into one car and one driver which led to Max over-powering many of his team-mates, which was one of the reasons Ricciardo switched to Renault. We want to give Alex the chance to prove his skills in a well-made car that once on the track will rival the Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari's" Andreas says looking towards Christian Horner who didn't look pleased at all.

"It's good to see Albon given the chance, as we saw George Russell improve the minute he joined Lewis Hamilton in Mercedes. There's also talk that there was an offers for Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc what happened there" another question is thrown out.

"We sent offers to anyone we thought would benefit from a contract with us, so Leclerc and Norris were both on that list"

"And you ended up choosing Albon, or were the offers rejected?"

"We chose Alexander before Norris and Leclerc turned the offer down. "Obviously Audi have now not only kept up with the youth of the grid but have added the first female since Lella Lombardi. Where did this choice come from, and did the other drivers know before today?" he pushes and Andreas smiles looking over towards you at the back of the room, hidden by your Audi cap.

"Well, she won the last F2 championship and she's a very promising driver, she has a degree that she completed three years ago in Aerodynamic Engineering and has some great opinions on her car and knows it very well. I'm sure her rookie season will be one nobody will want to miss" he smirks and the cameras click for more photos, you could already see the amount of headlines.

Now it was time for your first race of the season. Your first race was Bahrain and you were extremely nervous, you could see the camera on your left filming you as you pulled up the fireproof race suit over your shoulders. The mix of red and white fabric had your sponsors over it, as well as the four rings of your teams logo.

You eventually got into the car rubbing your hands together waiting to be handed the wheel by an crew member. You check that you radio is working with your engineer and give the pit crew a nod.

"Okay lets make this a good lap! Looking to try and get P12 or up" your engineer voices as you as you come out of the pits.

You had a good start, going into turn one slower, wanting to just test the waters. Turn two and three were similar, the car was wider and more powerful than that of an F2 car and even pre-season testing didn't help settle your nerves.

"Need to speed up on this straight to make up the time from the turns, stop overthinking and just drive. We believe in you" you hear your engineer and release a breath that you didn't even realize you were holding. You fly down the straight managing to still keep up quiet the speak into the sharp turn 4.

"Coming into sector 2 now, your currently in a predicted 14th place so we really need to catch up in Sector 2" he explains again.

You speed round the turns up until the hairpin on 8, breaking later and managing to overtake Russell who was slightly ahead of you on the track.

"Nice Y/N, you've got Lawson and Ocon ahead of you, if you can catch up to them you'll be in the top 10. Lets get you flat out on that straight in sector 3 yeah?"

As you get through the second hairpin with a little skidding from your misjudgment and managed to make up for time in turns 11,12 and 13 before putting your foot down so you sailed down the straight.

After another go you were called back to the pits.

"Well done, you got P9. That's amazing for your first drive"

"What position was Alex in?" you ask, hoping your team mate was getting on well in his new car.

"He was P4, Hamilton, Leclerc and Perez all infront of him, Verstappen P5 along with Norris, Piastri and Alonso just a few seconds ahead of your time. Wonderful driving" he says as you pull into the pit. You jump out the car, looking to see who was now out and didn't make it into Q2.

"Well done Y/N, you did do well! P9 is crazy!" Alex said rushing up to you pulling you into a teammate hug.

"Let's go get a drink, you wanna go toilet?" Zahara one of the crew asks. I nodded immediately realizing how i hadn't gone to the toilet before hand.

Q2 went a little worse, you crawled in P11, not making it into Q3. You'd made the typical rookie mistakes which is what angered you the most. You slapped you hands onto your halo in annoyance as your engineer tried to explain that P11 was amazing for a rookie, and if you had a good pace tomorrow you'd be able to get within the top 10.

You watched Alex compete for his position headphones on and seeing his overtake Norris who was currently in P5.

Eventually tomorrows start was set, Leclerc P1, Hamilton P2, Perez P3, Sainz P4, Alex P5, Verstappen P6, Norris P7, Russell P8, Piastri P9 and in P10 ahead of you was Alonso, he wouldn't make it easy for you tomorrow.

You hug Alex, congratulating him on a great start to the weekend and a great start to this season. You headed to your drivers room, changing out of your suit and into your Audi shirt and shorts. You head out and get to your R8, a benefit of working for the Audi team.

"Hey, Y/N right?" a voice calls you before you can even open the door to the car. You whirl round, worried it was a fan that had somehow managed to follow you to the carpark. In turn you actually saw the racer who finished in P1 today, Charles Leclerc.

"Oh, hello" you smile nodding you head down awkwardly in greeting.

"I just wanted to let you know, you did well, this wasn't my first race in F1 Australia was but you finished ahead of where i was in 2018, so take this as a win" he smiles placing a comforting hand on your shoulder.

"Oh, thank you. I didn't even think I'd be here this year, I was shocked when Audi reached out to me. I'm just annoyed at the mistakes i made in Q2, I could have made it to Q3 if I had just ..." you admitted softly, until he interrupts you.

"You've already had your debrief and you know what you did wrong, move on from it and come back tomorrow and get into the top 10" he smiles at you. He starts to walk away but stops when your hand wraps round his wrist.

"Thank you Charles, i needed to hear that. Congrats on P1 today, see you on the track tomorrow" you smile, letting go of his wrist before jumping into your car. You sighed revving the engine, thinking of the kindness you'd just been shown. You knew that people would probably be looking for you from other teams, as most people were still there but everything was a little overwhelming for you right now.

It's me again, I'm throwing my two cents in and asking. What are your thoughts on the competitive side of Pokémon caring. or more accurately, Pokémon battles? Especially the gym challenge and the champions themselves? Have you ever tried the gym challange before prof?

While in my youth I did the gym challenges, it all seemed rather staged for me, and i quickly figured out that the gym circuit is built for children, by adults to instil some form of confidence and independance in the youngsters who partake. I swiftly lost interest before completing any of them, but I think my old badges are somewhere, probably rusty by now. The whole organised gym system region to region is a well funded training scheme. Youngsters travel around with pokemon to get to grips with their teams, their independence, and their skills. Gyms offer a challenge to those who never much dipped their toes into the battling world, and many don't partake or bother with it for a whole host of reasons that are all equally valid. It is not a necessity to be a great trainer, nor is it required if you simply dont wish to do it. For most, its a fun challenge, but it does hold relative weight when applying for some job types as an adult, as it proves you can independently shift around and complete a set of tasks of your own volition, using critical problem solving skills on the fly. It has a whole host of benefits, and if you enjoy it and your pokemon enjoy it, then its a great way to earn some cash and blow off some steam!

BUT, that being said, the gym circuit is a tame version of reality. It is a low level set of tasks built to help those not as confident or well versed in battles. Even the more difficult leaders and gyms are playing a role, and while they may have their pokemon trained to a skilled, practiced adults capacity, for the most part they dumb down the fights and make sure they arent impossible for opponents to face. It is meant to be a challenge, not a slaughter, so to speak.

In the real world, people dont always get this safe space to learn how to handle a battle, there is blood, there are injuries, there can be deaths, but in a gym trial, that is harshly reduced, and fatalities are rarely encountered thankfully. With this in mind, I do believe the gym trials are a vital part of some peoples journey, but once you get past them and interact with the real world, where bad guys arent pulling punches like gym leaders do, you realise that you partook in a system that was all soft edges.

the champions and various elietes you encounter are HEAVILY trained guides for peoples journeys, and while some have been dubious, perhaps they slipped through the net, or paid their way into the position, most do the job of training new generations well, and with great precision. It takes a lot to train pokemon to the level they do, and teach with every move. It's a good job, much like any educator, and provides ample reward to see trainers come and go all the more confident and prepared for the real world. The skills it takes to be a gym leader are quite high, as your pokemon have to know when to stop, and how to hit hard, but not TOO hard that you injure opponents. Its a fine line and they walk it well for the most part.

As for the higher tiers of the gym circuits, well, they prove somewhat challenging to anyone on this path, but they too are simply adults hired to do a job, should they show the right aptitude. they get paid, they go home, and most of the time it is simply another form of the education sector.

I personally dont care for it much, but i have a bias others do not, and if i step away from it, its very clear to see that the gyms and the challenges they pose have great benefits for many people and pokemon, and often they offer help and support during times of disaster, such as fires or influx of pests on crops, and the likes. It goes to show they teach people more than how to fight, Alola in particular has a very harmonious balance within its practices, encouraging trainers to do what they can to help the community, without harming too many mons in the process, and to think outside the box when problem solving. Some of the finest trainers come from alola, thanks to their highly adaptive teaching methods.

overall i'd say if you want to partake, go for it! its certainly a safe way to train, but it does not mean you wont be great with pokemon or in a battle if you dont. I certainly never finished them, i know many who never did a single one, and are fantastic trainers. It's a great aid, but not the only way to succeed. So long as you treat your team with care, you research before you get new partners, and you take into consideration their wants FIRST, as their guardians, then youre on the right track. I could go on, but overall everythin gi ever preach comes back to mutual consent and being honest and open with pokemon. They put their faith in us to help them and be their trainers, so we can only try to do our best. If they dont want to fight, pushing them is immoral.

I suppose (in his defense) he has every right to have a harsh meltdown like that, considering this is years and years of bottled negativity, insecurity, avarice, etc. Leona destroying the (large collection of) contracts and Azul losing at his own game were just the straws that broke the camel's back.

I think it's also important to note that Jade and Floyd (Azul's two closest friends) are unwilling to side with him this time and maybe Azul saw that as a threat to his own mental well-being. Jade and Floyd are usually easygoing and often on board for all of Azul's schemes, so this is one of the first times they're openly opposing him and telling him he can't do something (i.e., take everyone's magic or else he'll overblot). When Floyd tells him he's much lamer now than he ever was before Azul can't recognize their genuine concern for him. In Azul's mind, it's probably something along the lines of: if he loses the two people he's closest to, alongside all of the contracts he spent years amassing, then he truly doesn't have anyone or anything; he'll be back where he began: the lonely outcast everyone made fun of in his youth.

Additionally, he's on the verge of crying and Azul (who was bullied ruthlessly for being a crybaby) doesn't like showing any sort of weakness or vulnerability, especially when it comes to crying. But what else can you possibly do when the floodgates burst? When so much has been built up and held in, it's only fair that the breakdown is just as frightening and strong. Thus, he screams and cries; he reacts in extremes.

I really adore how volatile he is when he has his meltdown. Azul is emotionally vulnerable by default (which is why he masks all of that with his pompous theatrics), but in that moment he truly believes that if he doesn't have everything (powerful magic, good singing abilities, an endless supply of skills and talents, etc) he is nothing but the "dumb, clumsy, crybaby octopus" from his youth. He can't accept his past self, which is why he's always working tirelessly to be the "best version" of himself because he's afraid of going back to who he once was, as he wholeheartedly believes that version of himself is terrible when it never was.

AAAA FORGIVE ME. OTL I rambled too much about tako, but I love his tantrums and I agree!!! He deserves to be gross and icky and immature from time to time! A yandere tantrum....... orz orz I love writing Azul breaking down at minor and major inconveniences whenever his darling is involved, but I especially love it when he's tried so hard to get you to reciprocate his feelings and nothing's working!!! The type of yan with a mindset of "I really dislike having to act so callous, but it's for your own good." Azul putting you through sensory deprivation to break your mind a little so that, eventually, the next time he visits the dark, soundproofed room you're kept in you'll reciprocate with open arms, desperate to be loved and feel connected with someone.

Krishna

Krishna (Krsna or Hari Krishna) is a major god of the Hindu pantheon and considered the eighth incarnation of Vishnu. He is perhaps the most popular of all the heroes of Hindu mythology. Krishna's adventures appear in the Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, Harivamsa, and the sacred texts known as the Puranas where he is described as the Supreme Being and creator of the universe.

The most ancient tales of Krishna in sacred texts involve his adventures with the Pandava princes whilst later, stories accumulated over the centuries which describe his eventful youth, when Krishna used his proficient weapons skills to good effect to defeat a host of fearsome enemies, demons and monsters.

Family & Adventurous Youth

According to tradition Krishna belonged to the Yadava - a pastoral race - and the god's birth is picturesquely described in the Mahabharata. One day Vishnu, the great Hindu god pulled two hairs from his own head, one white and one black. The black hair was planted into the womb of Devaki, a princess of the city of Mathura, and so Krishna was born into the Pandava family, his earthly father being Vasudeva. Unfortunately for Krishna his mother's brother, Kamsa, had been warned that Devaki's eighth child would kill him, and so Kamsa determined to murder the eighth child, a crime he had already carried out seven times before Krishna was born. Fortunately, Vasudeva took the precaution of hiding Krishna in the remote village of Vrindavana where the boy was brought up as a simple cowherd (in this guise he can be referred to as Govinda). There he spent an idyllic childhood and stirred the hearts of many gopis or herd-women with his dark good looks, playful charm, and mastery of music and dance.

Thus the story of Krishna contains a double concealment - Krishna is both a god disguised as a mortal and a prince disguised as a commoner. Accordingly, the myths contain many metaphors of disguise, such as a spark within a pile of ashes or a mighty sword in its scabbard, and these hint at Krishna's dual purpose as the punisher of human deeds but also as a bringer of enlightenment.

Krishna's foster parents at Vrindavana were Nanda and Yashoda, his sister is Subhadra, and his brother Balarama. Krishna's favourite consort was the cowherd woman Radha (or perhaps even his wife if they married in secret, as some sources claim). Tradition has it that the god actually acquired 16,108 wives and fathered 180,000 sons. Queen Rukmini, an earthly form of the goddess Lakshmi, is considered Krishna's second most favoured wife after Radha. With Rukmini, Krishna had a son, Pradyumna, and a daughter, Carumati.

Krishna was involved in many escapades in his adventurous youth. Notable amongst these are his various killings and thrashings of prominent enemies such as the ogress Putana, the giant bull danava, the giant snake Kaliya, and the king of the Hayas (horses). Also swiftly dealt with was the scheming tyrant Kamsa – after whose beheading Krishna established himself as king of Mathura. Krishna slew many demons and demon kings: Muru and his 7,000 sons, Pralamba – who Krishna beat up using only his fists, Naraka – son of the Earth and who had accumulated a harem of 16,000 captured women, and the sea-demon Pancajana who looked like a conch shell and who lost his magic shell to Krishna which the hero carried thereafter and used as a trumpet. Krishna also found time to lift the mountain Govardhana to foil a terrible deluge sent by Indra, to conquer Saubha, the floating city of the Titans (daityas), got the better of the sea-god Varuna, and even managed to steal the divine discus possessed by the fire-god Agni. Against mere mortals Krishna also wreaked havoc amongst the Gandharas, Bhojas, and Kalingas, amongst others.

A GOD AMONGST MEN

A/n: as a kid, you knew you were always special. Being a god among mortals made you inexplicably happy. And so did your family. But you never understood why men and humanity in general had to be so…hypocritical.

A forgotten god, one that watched over death and the underworld. A being that could turn the tides of a soul with the drop of a hat. But you wanted to see why people forgot the old ways, why they forgot you.

You reincarnated into a young kid, in a family that was surrounded by death. The name Big Mom rang a bell in your head: during her youth she had been one of your champion, among many. She had always brought you offerings, and you always accepted her pleas.

But seeing first hand the reason of so much destruction and death, warmed your cold little heart. His children, now your brothers and sisters adores you.

I spent way too much time on this and ended up putting too much effort into their character stats.

This is post is about their class, race and any other information that pertains to that. There will be a lot of dnd words, rules, and things that some people might not be familiar with. I will try to explain as best as I can but feel free to ask questions!

Captain John Price

Price is a variant human fighter.

Variant humans gain one more prophecy in a skill, get to choose a feat and two of their ability scores increase by one (i haven't rolled their stats). It makes sense for him to be variant human going off of who he is in CoD.

Feat: Alert

You gain a +5 bonus to initiative.

You can’t be surprised while you are conscious.

Other creatures don’t gain advantage on attack rolls against you as a result of being hidden from you.

So I was thinking about character design with Delta and how he shares his body with a child, and how that might effect his appearance, especially as Beta and Delta get better at sharing control or giving away control.

And maybe also Delta allows them to modify the body somewhat to be able to express themself and also as a way to have some control/be able to have some proof of existence. As recommended by their therapist maybe.

Like, Beta might add vibrant and playful accessories to their shared attire. This could include items like colorful wristbands, bright shoelaces, or even fun stickers on Delta's gear.

Beta could influence the choice of clothing to include more playful elements. This might manifest as patches or badges on Delta's jackets or pants that represent Beta's interests, such as animals, favorite characters, or symbols of bravery and adventure.

Beta might personalize their shared items with small, personal touches. For instance, they could draw or embroider small designs on their clothing or equipment, adding a sense of individuality and creativity.

Since Beta is a child, they might introduce comfort items into their wardrobe, like a favorite scarf, a beanie, or even a small, soft toy that can be tucked into a pocket or backpack for a sense of security and familiarity.

And like. Delta needs some convincing to go outside in that, because it is distinctly not manly. But he can feel Beta’s upset, and they start crying, and he doesn’t want them to be upset so he prepares to face the embarrassment.

Only no one really notices, or if they do, they compliment him on his cool as fuck stickers or stars and dog patches.

Following the events of the Cannibalism incident and the capture of Dostoevsky, the Armed Detective Agency seems to slowly regain its flow and antics. You can hear the loud noises coming from the office as you walk up to the door, fresh cut blouse and pencil skirt delicately hugging your body, but keeping all your inner beauty intact. As you open the door to the office, you are greeted by the chaos engulfing the room from Ranpo's and Dazai's poking fun, with Atsushi being the victim of their teasing.

"Oi, Atsushi! Have you gotten the sweets from the bakery I requested?" Ranpo demands, as a lollipop hangs from his mouth.

"Not yet Ranpo-san. There is a bit of paperwork I need to complete before I ca-"

"Nay~ Atsushi-kun! Can you please do my work as well? All these dealings with Fyodor and his little schemes have taken all my precious time from napping. Do you mind helping your senior, hm?" Dazai leans his head forward into his arm, giving Atsushi puppy eyes.

"Dazai-san, Kunikida-san specifically instructed you to tackle them. not m-"

"Yeah, yeah. But Kunikida is not here, so I am sure that he wouldn't mind this one time."

"But..."

Before either of the elder men continued their torture on Atsushi, two metal clips were thrown at them, one hitting Dazai on the temple, and the other hitting Ranpo on the forehead.

"Hey! What the hell is your prob-" Ranpo loudly rambled bitterly, before noticing you standing, annoyance plastered on your face. A way of fear covers Ranpo, as he quickly silents his mouth from speaking any further.

Shifting his attention from Ranpo to you, Dazai slips a pleasant smile on his face.

"Good morning Belladonna Y/N-san! You look as exquisite as always. What do we own the pleasure, hm~?"

"Good morning to you too, Dazai. Mind explaining why I am witnessing harassment from the two seniors towards our young member?"

"Harassment? Oh, what a scandalous accusation! Me and Ranpo-san were merely teasing him, right Atsushi-kun?" Dazai turned to Atsushi, expecting him to agree with him. Taking a glance at you, Atsushi muttered, "If you expect me to defend you now, then you need to raise my payment buddy."

A low chuckle escapes your lips at the slow shock that enters Dazai's eyes. Before Dazai could counter with a smart remark, a baritone voice came from behind you.

"I see everyone is being productive today."

Turning your head, you noticed your beloved one standing behind you, a solemn expression resting on his features. Despite going through so much stress in the past couple of weeks, Fukuzawa never failed to look dazzling in your eyes. In fact, you would argue that all this danger for the sake of the safety and survival of the Armed Detective Agency has brought back the youthful danger that captured your heart long ago.

"Good morning President. Still practicing your assassin skills, hm?" You fully turned to Fukuzawa, tracing your eyes from his lips to his eyes, trying to notice the change in his stern look.

"One must always be aware of upcoming dangers. As a matter of fact, the recent events have shown how far the enemy is willing to sick low to fulfill their corrupt plans." Everyone at the office looked at him with serious expressions, the previous light atmosphere turning dimmed. Bringing his hands out of his sleeves to cough into his fist, he continued. "If you have time, please follow me to my office, Miss Y/N-san."

He turned his heel towards the door, walking towards the exit. You peeked your head to the side towards the boys, before glaring at Dazai and Ranpo, whispering, "Please get back to work before I decide to take off my gloves." Both men straightened out before silently nodding. Making fun Kunikida is one thing. Steering the President's mood with pranks is a possibility, but not high. But making you mad?

Giving all three a smile, you stroll behind Fukuzawa, leaving the office. As soon as you walk in through the President's office threshold and the door is closed, Fukuzawa wraps himself around you. Nuzzling his head into your neck, you can't help but smile. No matter how long you have been together, he continuously acts like a cat, but only to the one who holds his heart.

Though it is known that you and Fukuzawa have been together for a few years, the workplace doesn't allow for public displays of affection. Most people refer to you as big sister or Y/N-san, but to Fukuzawa, behind the closed doors and only under his gaze, his sunshine. With both of you being the "parents" of the Armed Detective Agency, finding moments of intimacy is rare, but they are cherished.

Pulling away his head from your neck, Fukuzawa brushes his hand through your hair, caressing the strands that fall off your side. The look he gives you reminds you of the lovesick look that Hades had toward Persephone, the blazing eyes that hold devotion for you and no one else.

"May I ask something, my sunshine?"

"Anything. You may share and ask anything on your mind."

A small grin grows on his lips at your sincerity.

"It would seem that I have neglected our time together, and with the recent attack from the demon Dostoevsky, I haven't taken time to show you my love for you properly." Taking a sigh, he follows with his speech. "There is a Tanabata festival happening tonight. Would you give me the honor to take you on a date, my sunshine?"

Deciding to tease a bit, you grinned, "You know it's not smart to ask rhetorical questions, right dear?"

Pulling a soft laughter, he spoke, "It would seem that Ranpo has been rubbing off on you."

"What could have possibly led you to such a conclusion Mr. Detective?"

Bringing your foreheads together, with your noses brushing slightly against one another, you can feel his warm breath on your lips, tugging you to close the space and letting your lips dance in a passionate kiss. Deciding to follow your instincts, you closed the gap, and let a smile form on your lips as what a small peck turned into a deep and ravishing kiss. Your hands tug on his yukata, as his brash and colossal hands squeeze your hips, as soft moans and groans escape both of your lips.

You quickly pull your lips before both of you do something unprofessional, letting the whole agency know what kind of beasts both you and Fukuzawa can be once both of you get turned on. You lift your hand to gently grasp his face, memorizing his facial features to your memory core.

"When and where is Tanabata festival going to be held?"

Trying to regain some composure, Fukuzawa answered, "On the outskirts of Yokohama, and 6:30 in the evening."

You lean forward, seemingly going for another kiss. However, only for you to bring your pointing finger up to his nose, "Boop." You whisper.

Taking a step back, you straightened your clothes, walking towards the door. There was so much work to complete and the promise of a date boosted your confidence to get it done quickly. As you pass through the door, you turn your head to your lover, smirking at him. "Can't wait for our date, my love." As soon as you say it, you close the door leaving Fukuzawa shocked and speechless. Only one thought flashes through his mind:

"This woman will be the death of me, I swear."

Getting ready for the festival, you decided to wear your light blue yukata, decorated with sakura petals, making it appear as if an image of flying petals was dancing on your skin. This was a present from Fukuzawa two years ago, as it reminded him of you, a fresh breath of spring that releases his soul from the gruesome past. You wrap a light pink Obi belt around your waist, smoothing out your outfit, and then finishing up with putting up your hair in a bun, with a hairpin holding it still.

Checking that everything looks good, you take your Kinchaku pouch, before taking a step out of your shared room, seeing Fukuzawa waiting for you at the hall entrance by the front door. He was wearing a dark grey yukata, in contrast to his usual green one, with a black Obi belt hugging his waist. As he hears you approach him, he lifts his gaze, only to have his eyes widen a fraction. You feel bashful under his gaze, lower your eyes to your feet, and blush creeping onto your cheeks. Suddenly, you feel him taking up your hand, only to bring it to his lips, placing a delicate kiss on it.

"You look astonishing, my sunshine."

"I should be saying it to you, my dear."

Gently moving your hand, Fukuzawa places your arm through his, locking it in a hook. "Shall we head out?"

"Lead the way!"

"Look, there is strawberry and mango dango milk! We got to try it!"

"Be careful, don't trip, my love."

As people were flooding the festival, laughter and joy began to radiate through every corner of the event. The vibrant decorations of the summer festival peaking in all directions. You can hear the shouts of vendors, excitedly selling their delicious snacks and drinks, children running through the crowd with toys in their hands, and couples taking pictures at the event.

Though you have only been here for 15 minutes, there was one main priority. Food. Get the best and fresh food before it sells out.

"So it seems that you were the one who taught Ranpo how to indulge in food more than activities in the event."

Turning your head back to Fukuzawa after paying for two dango milks - strawberry and mango, and matcha flavor - you returned to him, handing him one of the milks.

"C'mon as a detective, it best to get the freshest clues before they disappear." Fukuzawa took a sip of his dango milk as you continued, "I mean, how else would you explain how I got the best-looking assassin in all of Japan?" Fukuzawa almost choked on the beverage at your comment, with you giggling into your hand.

"You are saying some dangerous stuff, sunshine. You almost had me killed."

"Would that mean that I bested the best assassin?"

"I would gladly let you best me if it means I can see your radiant face first thing in the morning."

Blushing, you turned your head away, "Now I know who taught Dazai to smooth talk women."

Both of you laughed at your comment. You could feel how the world stopped as if only you and him existed in this vast world. The past couple of weeks have been hell for you, as you watched your lover being poisoned and injured, having to fight not only the leader of Port Mafia but also before that, deal with the Guild incident and protect Yokohama all at once. Yes, he may not played the key role in successfully stopping all those attacks, but to everyone in the Agency, he was the pillar that held everyone grounded. Without him, the Agency would crumble and lose hope.

Rather than lingering on sad memories, you grasped Fukuzawa's hand, leading him to gaming vendors, trying to piece the good memories into your mind. You spend the next couple of hours going from one vendor to another, checking out fun games, and trying out new food. Like Takoyaki with Pufferfish inside, which if you two are honest, was something.....unique and unforgettable, to say the least. Or blue cheese bubble tea that almost made you puke from the simple smell of it.

The sky darkened, and Fukuzawa decided to take your hand and lead you uphill, to a clear view of the sky away from the people. As you found the spot to settle down, Fukuzawa hugged your waist, leading your head onto his chest and placing his head on top of yours, as distant cheers could be heard beneath you. You let the silence befall you, enjoying every moment as the silver moon glooms above, lighting up the world in diamonds.

After some time passes, you break the silence, "Thank you for taking me for a wonderful date. I loved everything about it."

Fukuzawa hums in response, "I am glad I could make it up to you, sunshine. I know that times have been hard on us, but..." He raises his head, looking down at you with pure love in his orbs. "I am thankful that you are willing to stay with me despite everything that has been thrown at us. Please know that even though I put my years of assassination behind me, say the word and I will raise my sword for you in the blink of an eye." Feeling the seriousness covering his voice tone, you look up to him, a small smile gracing your lips.

"I know." You sighed. "Only you can keep my heart from losing its warmth because it's now your heart and I have yours."

Staring at each other, you let your bodies speak the words your mind can't capture properly. As your lips touched each other like ghosts, a booming sound came from in front of you, signaling the fireworks show starting up.

Truly a magical moment to end a good day and a great date.

You take the chance for a proper reprieve, and by the time I should, should the others not have returned, perhaps we might take a few moments for ourselves.” If there were even the slightest possibility of a quiet moment together, Husk would hold out hope for it. Her eyes flutter open, peering past the cracks in the dividers, taking in the upstairs. She glared at the beds, their size just enough for a single body. Not that I found you to have a pungent aroma in the first place. “ A small chuckle fell from Husk; she knew he didn’t mind her natural smell, but it felt nice to be able to bathe.   “Lavander and honey, not my first choice, but I’m content to smell like something other than my own sweat. It makes me happy that I didn't take a vow of cleanliness. The journey here would have been far more troublesome for me.” She reached her hand to his face, her thumb running along his cheek.

“And how was the market? Hopefully, you had no difficulty finding what you needed.” Gale nuzzled himself into her hand.

“Oh, I didn’t face much difficulty at all. Talking to a few vendors, however, I noticed that the people here seem to be just as on edge, if not more so, than those outside the gate.  While I still suggest we rest tonight, tomorrow will come early, and we’ll need to start laying out a plan immediately.” His face goes stoic for a moment, the reality of what is to come hitting hard and quick, but slowly, it loosens into a smug grin. “But that’s for us to worry about tomorrow, yes? For now, I say we take that moment I mentioned earlier. After all, it’s hard to focus when I have such beauty standing before me. While it won’t be the most romantic moment I could conjure, you have my word that I’ll do my utmost to make the best of it. I don’t think we’ll have all that much time left before our companies retire from the city. So, let us make haste and act accordingly, claiming this little moment for ourselves.” He takes her hand and leads her to one of the beds; both are determined to seize the moment, even if only for a short while.

I started reading LOCH after seeing do many posts about the adaptations, and now I can't help but wonder: Do you think the Jin Sect in MDZS was an intentional reference to the Jin dynasty villains, what with their flaunting an imperial color in their clothing and their lots and lots and lots of scheming as opposed to bald-faced battle skill? Or are "Jin" villains in general just enough of a genre convention that MXTX passively absorbed it?

Okay so, I think this is a bit of a conflation of a number of different things, and I'll explain in more depth, but upfront:

No, I do not believe the Jin "villains" in LOCH share any similarity in any way with the Jin Sect in MDZS passively absorbed or otherwise.

Let me explain:

The Jin mentioned in Jin Yong's Legend of the Condor Heroes, especially the Wanyans -- Wanyan Honglie and the rest of the Jin imperial family -- are based firmly in the real history of the fall of the Southern Song dynasty. (circa 12th century). The Da Jin/Jin Empire was created by the Jurchen people and occupied much of what used to be the northern portion of what, at the time, was considered Song territory. (see wikipedia article here for more nuanced discussion of what the "Jin Empire" was.)

The Jin Sect <- aka a bloodline sect of Presumably Han Chinese People Surnamed Jin (we have no canonical evidence to believe any of the sects presented to us in MDZS are of any ethnicity besides Han btw), are based in Lanling County in the Shandong Province of a historical fantasy time period. There is no resemblance between the two. The Jin in MDZS presumably wear a lot of yellow/gold because their surname itself means...yellow/gold.

If I DID have to say "I think the Jin were inspired by xyz from Jin Yong's novels" I would probably think that they were inspired in part by the Songshan Sect in one of Jin Yong's later novels Xiao Ao Jianghu, because their sect leader Zuo Lengchan is a greedy despotic semi chief cultivator type persona who preys on jianghu infighting and the youth of various sect leaders in the Five Mountain Sword Sect Alliance after he's politically knocked off other older more experienced sect leaders, is obsessed with a cultivation manual that will make him #TheMostPowerful, commits atrocities like massacring whole sects, and the Songshan Sect wears....a lot of yellow.

Also as an addendum: "Jin" villains are not remotely a wuxia genre convention. They can't be passively absorbed. The discussion of the Jurchen people in LOCH and why they are cast as villainous in the novel is directly correlated with the colonization of the Han Chinese during that time period in history.

Cillian character battle royale. Who's winning?

I LOVE this question and I'm so sorry it's taken me ages to answer it, anon! Ramble warning below the cut - I go into way too much detail on this lol...

I still need to see a TON of his films, so I'm limiting this to the characters I know plus Tommy Shelby, because I feel like I've absorbed enough Vibes(TM) to know that Tommy is a poor little meow meow who constantly gets himself into trouble.

I'm also imagining this as like a Hunger Games-esque scenario where they're all dropped into a fight and have to scavenge for weapons and supplies. So no one is coming into this with anything but their wits and the clothes on their back (maybe)

Starting from the bottom up, Neil would barely make it out of the starting gate. I'm so sorry - I love you, Neil - but we all know you lack the self preservation skills necessary for this situation. This is probably the first time Neil has touched grass in three months, and it will not end well for him.

The next tier is people I think would at least survive for a while - long enough to pick up some weapons or supplies - but ultimately would be some of the first to die. Oppie I feel would be all strategy but no action, which would be his downfall. Fischer would try to ally himself with someone (probably Jackson) and then get killed when they inevitably betray him. And Matthew I debated on putting in this tier or the next one up, but decided that in the end he would just be unlucky, as he usually is.

Now, I feel like it might be slightly controversial to put Tommy in the middle tier. But again, all I really know about this man is that he schemes, gets caught, and ends up miserable for like 80% of the show (I have not seen Peaky Blinders lol). So that's why he's there. Pig I think would make it decently far because of his sheer unhingery and unpredictability. Most people would want to avoid him, but at least one or two would make it their mission to take him out ASAP. And Capa has enough arrogance and Main Character Energy to last for a while, but no real fighting skills.

Crane would make it pretty far. He's smart and driven, but in the end I think his hubris would be his downfall. Could probably dodge for a while in a hand-to-hand fight, but would be easily overpowered by some of the other people here. Jackson, as we know from canon, is very hard to kill. This would carry him for quite a long time, even if he got injured, but I don't see him making it to the final two. Because, just like Crane, he would get a little too cocky and sure of himself, and that would come back to bite him.

And now let's talk about our top two contenders. Probably not a surprise that it's Emmett and Jim, because both of them prove in their respective canon universes that they have what it takes to survive. Emmett is extremely resourceful, calculating, and patient - all of which I think would be helpful in this kind of situation. But, he probably really would not want to be there and that might be his fatal flaw haha. Jim can be stealthy when needed, seems like an underdog at first so probably wouldn't attract too much attention or become anyone's first target, and has the advantage of youth over Emmett. Hard to say who would be physically stronger between the two of them, but I feel like Jim would have more endurance. They're both willing to fight dirty if needed, but are also reluctant to fight unless necessary.

I'm having a really hard time picking which one of them I think would come out on top, but my gut is saying Jim. I just think he has a little more edge, and would hesitate less in the moment.

0.) The Fool - Soos Ramirez

Keywords: Innocence, idealism, curiosity, gullible, and silly

The word Fool conjures images of clowns and jesters delighting those around them or undercutting the seriousness of a situation. Soos as a character is the comedic relief of the main cast yet still gets a charming narrative.

As a young adult Soos still carries a childike sense of wonder, admiring the Mystery Shack and equating it to 'a place of dreams'. He's also shown enjoying various media ranging from comic books, to anime, and video games. Together, these display the value Soos places upon stories not just as entertainment but as inspiration.

The Fool is the beginning of the Journey and Soos' Journey began when he wandered into the Mystery Shack. Ultimately, he ended in the same place, transitioning from inspired to inspirer. Through his genuine commitment to himself and his ideals Soos is rewarded by inhering the legacy of his father figure, Stan Pines.

1.) The Magician - Grenda Grendinator

Keywords: Desire, willpower, manifestation, proactive, and skilled

To many, the word Magician conjures figures both esoteric and scholarly - traits that one wouldn't normally associate with Grenda. However, in tarot The Magician actually embodies one lesson; As Above, So Below. To shape ones surroundings one must work with intention.

Despite her youth Grenda carries a self assurance that many adults would envy. This nature brings her success in courting a partner many would see as out of her league, the Prince Marius. Marius is quoted as loving how 'bold' Grenda is, as her straightforward personality cuts through the pageantry he's accustomed to.

When others change, Grenda remains strong in muscle, and heart, without doubts in her worth.

2.) The High Priestess - The Oracle

Keywords: Intuition, magic, duality, patience, and mystery

The High Priestess is a guardian of mystery, one who safeguards secrets both tempting and corrupting. The Oracle assisted Ford during his time in the multiverse, installing the metal plate that kept Bill from the scientists mind.

As a(n implied) former henchmaniac, The Oracle has inside knowledge about Bill Cipher and his schemes. She willingly turned from his group and sequestered herself in a mountaintop shrine to bide her time.

For the role she plays in Fords story, the undoing of Bill Cipher, and reverance for the Axolotl, The Oracle does well to embody the lessons of The High Priestess.

3.) The Empress - Abuelita

Keywords: Motherhood, nurturing, beauty, generosity, and support

The Empress evokes a woman who is both mother and ruler. Abuelita is the matriarch of the Ramirez family having raised her children, outlived her husband, and gone on to raise some of her grandchildren.

Having entered her later years, she has overcome the trials of motherhood and applies those lessons to raising her grandson Soos. While he has trouble speaking to women his own age, Soos expresses a clear respect for his grandmother, spending quality time with her and taking her advice to heart.

When Soos inherits the Mystery Shack she immediately moves in, not out of selfishness, but an understanding that where her family goes she goes.

4.) The Emperor - Manly Dan

Keywords: Fatherhood, focus, protection, routine, and power

The Emperor is a stoic figure, steadfast and disciplined. In his youth Manly Dan was called 'Boyish Dan' an indication that his epithet was cultivated over time. As head of the Corduroy household Manly Dan raises four children, one daughter, and three sons.

We're shown time and again that Manly Dan's strength is incredible, and garners him great respect from fellow townsfolk - particularly Tyler Cutebiker the towns current Mayor. When Dipper doubts his own masculinity Manly Dan is one of the figures he feels compelled to emulate.

Importantly, despite how he stresses her out with his 'intensity', Manly Dan has imparted practical skills that serve his daughter Wendy during moments of crisis.

5.) The Hierophant - Blind Ivan

Keywords: Conformity, education, religion, cults, and tradition

The Hierophant is a religious figure with dutiful acolytes and an unyielding scripture. As head of the 'Society of the Blind Eye' Blind Ivan is regarded as one of the most principled members. When the citizens encounter weirdness he guides them through the process of forgetting and conforming into blissful ignorance.

At the end of his debut episode Blind Ivan has his principles bastardized, forced to forget all that he was, becoming a blank slate. Interestingly, this makes him conform alongside the other citizens of Gravity Falls, blending into the background like any other.

In a way, by losing his mantle, he imparts the lesson that underneath it all we are all human.

6.) The Lovers - Dipper Pines

Keywords: Union, harmony, relationships, romance, and love

Didn't expect this twin here did you? Don't click away! - ahem -

The Lovers depicts a union of opposites who compliment and create something grander together than apart. Dipper is the twin of Mabel and their relationship as brother and sister is integral to the narrative of Gravity Falls. When the allure of going off with Ford presents itself Dipper ultimately decides that to journey without Mabel would be a journey not worth taking.

Dipper is also strongly defined by his relationship to Wendy. While Mabel experiences multiple crushes over the summer, Dipper only ever has eyes for one. In a moment of vulnerablity he is turned down as romantic partner, and then later has his importance as platonic friend affirmed when Wendy switches hats with him at the end of the summer.

As a testament to the value he gives towards his relationships, Dipper says the following; "But looking here at all of you I realize that every wish came true, I have everything I wanted."

7.) The Chariot - Gideon Gleeful

Keywords: Ambition, direction, force, destination, and control

The Chariot depicts a rider with two steeds both stronger than themself and yet bound to their control. Gideon is the antagonist of the first season, wielding powerful influence over many of Gravity Falls' citizens.

Even after his imprisonment Gideon's charisma draws in the support of nearly all his fellow prisoners. When Weirdmaggedon hits he travels around on a monster truck, enforcing chaos and disorder in the name of Bill Cipher. With Dipper's help, Gideon realizes that not only is he getting further away from his destination, Mabel, but that he is in fact the one on the leash.

While Gideon's determination is commendable, his story is also a warning to avoid growing obsessed.
