Tumblr was shut down because they made “Tumblr kids” (like YouTube kids) but because they couldn’t get rid of the pornbots, somebody sued them.

I hate YouTube’s “YouTube kids” thing with the comment sections because now I can’t see people calling the music we loved as kids bangers and talking about it
Like come on, I wanna see people’s opinions on the music I grew up on

I found the Supaidaman playlist through a YouTube Kids app, after 10 months of having my research getting cut off. Happy Halloween, indeed.🎃👻😆

Do you wanna adopt @yes-im-youtube-kids? They’re @i-bless-your-heart’s adopted neice/nephew, so since y’all are siblings, it would make sense. Also, I want them as as my sibling <33
~ your equally adoption-crazy, family-tree-making child x
YES I WOULD LOVE TO
I honestly kinda assumed even if it wasn’t official
@yes-im-youtube-kids HELLO would you like to be adopted??????? Because I am adopting :D !!!

ok im gonna be a hater real quick and complain about roblox games
maple hospital annoys me so much for the same reason i dont like content farms bc like. A ton of the thumbnails are really weird or gross stuff that imo we should not be exposing kids to. I mean things like injuries and other stuff are things kids will witness happening in real life but the fact that it's avalible in a roleplay game rubs me the wrong way. I'm speaking from experience here when i say seeing weird and/or gross stuff on the internet messes kids up a ton just in general but it's especially concerning when kids see this stuff and go "oh i saw it on roblox!" Or "oh i saw it on youtube kids!" And think this gross content okay and normal wvent though it isnt
not to sound like bethany the christian mother or anything but i think we shouldnt give our kids unrestricted access to the internet until the kid is like, in their teens or something. It seems really irresponsible to me that these parents are just giving their 4 year olds unrestricted access to the internet and it creeps me out a ton. If your going to let your child on the internet at a young age then at least supervise them!!!! They don't know that what their watching is bad and as the older person you should be helping them find content that is okay not just throwing an ipad at them and telling them to go wild!!!! A tablet/electronic device is not a substitute for being a parent and it leads to very bad things happening to your child!!!! This is why i don't want my younger siblings on youtube dude. I don't want them to see the weird gross stuff that i saw when i was their age (and slightly younger) and theres been a signifigant rise in that kind of weird gross content since i was 4-6 and its driving me crazy. Like minecraft monster school animated videos for example. When i watched them when i was younger the worst thing you'd find was the occasional bad word but now there are entire videos of just absolute vile content. This type of content used to be for kids. It's still being marketed towards children, but that doesn't make it safe for kids to watch. The internet is not, never was, and never will be a safe place for young children and it makes me sad that fully grown adults seem to think that it is. And i'm not sayng you should helicopter parent your child at all but limit your childs screen time to like. 30 minutes to 2 hours until they are around 13-14 or something and watch them play to make sure the games they are playing and the shows they are watching are safe for them

Okay, uhm... what the actual f-
Apparently there's this YouTube Channel with Bedtime Stories for children which not only that happens to contain certain aspects in its videos which I personally consider to be inappropriate for kids and is just another proof of how easily the YouTube Algorithm can be fooled, but it also retells some greek myths and turns them into... whatever these videos are supposed to be.

You can watch them, though I suggest you not to do that for your own mental health. Also, feel free to cringe as much as you want.

Minecraft YT for kids
Hi! Which minecraft YouTubers (or even better, specific videos or series) do you recommend for young kids?
My children are 4 and 8. They really want to watch YT videos about minecraft, but I don't want them roaming free on YT. So we approve videos for their YT kids account on the tablet instead.
Both my kids like fantasy and mninecraft. We really enjoyed a minecraft "choose your own adventure" on Netflix where they could click around to decide bits of the story. (But it's not available in our region anymore).
They both enjoy silly and cartoony stuff.
The oldest likes train tracks, roller coasters and intricate and creative building. He has a strong sense of justice and a very low tolerance for pranks, bullying and plots with traitors, characters deceiving their friends etc. He is also easily scared of monsters that are more intense than regular minecraft.
The youngest one is more chaotic. They love a variety from cats, rainbows, unicorns and mermaids - to everything that involves farts and/or explosions.
So I guess I am looking for:
Creative minecraft videos where they build something and/or tear it down. How to videos of medium/advance things appreciated.
Storytelling in minecraft as if watching a movie.
PEGI3 or PEGI7 ish stuff.
No Roblox.
Cartoony violence and mob deaths are okay. No blood, dismembering, disembowling etc.
I am okay with swearing like "Shit I fell down," "What the fuck is that?!", "Where the heck are you?" and stuff like that. Not okay with slurs, bullying and name calling.
Any suggestions?

how the fuck do I convince my niece and nephew to watch something other than minecraft gameplays and fan animations? Don't get me wrong I have nothing against those or against these kids being minecraft kids. It's just that they don't want to watch anything else ever.
They don't know the difference between a movie or a cartoon episode because the only thing they know is the neverending flow of minecraft videos from the youtube autoplay function. They keep saying Bluey episodes are Bluey movies. I really don't want to say it this way but I'm pretty sure at their age I knew the difference between a tv episode and a movie. They don't know how, like, regular tv works, how tv channels work.
They don't understand the basic storytelling structure of beginning - conflict - solution/end because they keep watching those stupid '1000 zombies against 500 wardens' videos. Because they don't watch cartoons. These kids don't watch cartoons what the fuck.
And I have nothing against them watching minecraft videos from time to time, I'm sure I'd have liked that too at their age. I prefer them being minecraft kids over them playing more violent/gory videogames. It's just that I feel that it's necessary for kids under 10 to watch stories made for them with care and passion. To learn how stories work and their structure so they can appreciate more complex fiction later on.
They agreed to watch Dora the Explorer and I asked them why they thought there were green vertical bars at the sides. They were older episodes in the 1:1 aspect ratio. I wasn't expecting the correct answer but they didn't even try. Just 'i dunno'. ahhg.
