Masterlist Part 1
For some reason, the shop seems more welcoming today than ever. It might be the fact that the sun is shining, it might be the radio seemingly playing all your favourite songs, or it might be last night. Either way, you feel loose and free, laughing at jokes, smiling at everyone, and genuinely just happier.
Eddie saunters in thirty minutes late and you barely notice, apart from flashing him a bashful smile.
“Well hello there sweetheart, you seem chipper today.”
You roll your eyes at the obvious insinuation, but your smile is warm. “I had a good night's sleep, that's all.”
“Bet you did,” he grins, “you look real pretty.”
Looking down, you consider your outfit; you'd decided enough of the corporate clothes, this is a tattoo shop after all. So, you'd paired a roll neck sweater with a short jean skirt and sneakers. A more relaxed outfit to go with a more relaxed attitude. Before you can say anything in reply he strolls over to his station.
Right, so a few jabs, but he's being nonchalant. So put it out of your mind.
The morning moves quickly, a messy blur of clients and phone calls. After a fast lunch, the shop finally calms down a little. When you're focusing on sorting the mess of the heavy bookings tome in front of you, Eddie approaches, mischief glinting in his eyes.
“I see London, I see France…”
You follow his bowed head and cross your legs in sheer embarrassment, realising a sliver of your panties must be on display.
“Eddie!”
He simply laughs, throwing his head back far enough that your gaze drifts to his Adam's apple.
“Sorry, I couldn't resist, I'm a big fan of this skirt,” he says, drinking you in with his eyes, “anyway I wanted to ask-”
His sentence is stopped however by the loud ringing of the old corded phone. You and Eddie share a look, yours begging and his smug. Before you can grab it, he picks up the phone, putting on a ridiculous British accent.
“Good Afternoon, London Underground Airways, this is your captain speaking- Oh shit Mac- Yeah she's- I know I'm not supposed to answer- Sorry I- Fine, here.” He brandishes the phone at you.
“Hello? Oh, of course I'll let them know- I understand- It'd be my pleasure- see you soon.” replacing the receiver, you make a note on the pad at your side.
“What'd he say?” Eddie asks, hovering over you.
Not giving him the satisfaction of a look, you continue to make your note, however perfunctory it may be. “Mac's going to be a little late, he told me to tell his next client.”
“He said my name, I heard it. What'd he say?”
Placing your pen down with a loud click, you turn to him.
You tell him as you smile smugly. “He told me to hit you for answering the phone.”
If anything, his grin grows broader. “Oh? Go on then princess, I'd hate for you to break the rules.” He turns his face, no doubt expecting a cuff to the back of the head.
Spinning on your stool, you slap him right across the cheek; not with all your strength, but certainly hard enough to remember. Eddie's face is a picture of shock, pink handprint already flushing his cheek.
But that just makes his smile wider.
“Harder.” He asks, eyes flashing arousal at you.
“Eddie!” you shout, pushing him away, but his laugh echoes through the shop. Before he has a chance to continue, a burly biker type walks right in the door.
“Good afternoon, can I help you?”
“Yeah, It's Jimmy, I'm here for Mac?”
“He's running a little late, but he'll be with you as soon as possible. Can I get you a coffee or something while you wait?”
You can't help but hear a huff from Eddie, but before you can question it he's drawing in his book, entirely oblivious to the outside world.
At the end of the day, you're tired, but still in fairly high spirits. It's the first time you've seen everyone in the shop at once. There's an edge to the air though, as if an expectation hangs over everyone.
So… bar?” Mac asks in a defeated tone, although he's smiling. Everyone reacts; Eddie woops, pumping his fist, even the usually reserved Miranda is clapping quietly. You smile and nod, finally understanding what the atmosphere was about.
As you all enter the dimly lit bar, chatting and laughing, you hear a low huff.
“What did I do to deserve this?” John is standing behind the bar. An imposing figure, his arms crossed and face surly, but there's a kindness in his eyes. Mac leans straight over and hands him a card.
“Easy John, I got this,” he chuckles. The card is accepted gratefully, the gruff demeanour lessening with the promise of payment.
You accept a bottle of beer and slide into a nearby booth, the rest of the group filtering in. Mac walks over, eyes the space next to you, then grabs a stool to sit at the head of the table. It throws you for a minute; surely he knows he can sit there? Before you can tell him so, Eddie waltzes across the room with a tray of tequila shots and all the fixings with a cheeky look in his eyes. He slides right in next to you, tray and all, and places it on the table with exaggerated care.
“Ladies, gentlemen.” He says, gesturing to the tiny glasses like an old timey butler. There's a succession of groans from the party, but despite this they all grab a shot. All except you.
“I don't think I-” you begin, but he's waving a hand in the air.
“Come on, you drink. It's a shot. Never had tequila before?”
Fixing him with a sharp look, your cheeks begin to redden of their own accord. Eddie smirks and tosses his head back, hiding his eyes with one hand.
“Shit princess, what did you do at college?”
“Study.” You say primly, but take a glass tentatively and place it in front of you.
“Right, so for the new guys…“ Eddie smiles right at you and licks his hand between his thumb and pointer finger. That hint of silver mesmerises you, the ball of his tongue piercing catching the light. It's almost sensual the way he does it, your eyes automatically following the movement of his tongue. “salt right here…” he sprinkles some on the spot he moistened, “then, lick, shoot, suck.”
In a few fluid movements he licks the salt from his hand, downs the shot, and sticks a wedge of lime in his mouth. As your brain finally engages after that display, the little show that shouldn't have heated your insides up, you follow along, and take your shot with everyone else. It's easier than you would have thought, the lime easing the burn somewhat.
Eddie squeezes your thigh under the table and whispers low enough for you to hear.
“Good girl.”
Shooting daggers with a simple look, he just smirks, leaving his hand on your bare leg as if challenging you. Dimly, you hear the echoes of a conversation in front of you; it's Julio, arguing about good tequila not needing salt and lime, but you're lost in the deep pools of Eddie's chocolate eyes.
For a moment, your body flashes red hot and you regret your choice of the high necked sweater. Tearing your eyes away you look at something, anything, but Eddie.
The conversation drifts between all manner of subjects and you start to relax, the beer and tequila swimming in your belly loosening your tongue. It's nice, having a chance to chat and giggle with your coworkers in a setting not interrupted by the constant buzzing of tattoo machines.
Julio and Chloe end up in a full scale argument about the karaoke machine in the corner. Before you're subjected to the horror of having to sing in public, you get up to grab another beer. Perching on a stool by the bar with your purse in hand, you're waiting patiently to be served.
Eddie strolls over. You see him in your periphery; that confident walk as if he owns the very ground he walks on. Casually he hops up on the stool next to you, making no effort to hide the way he undresses you with his eyes.
“Quit staring Eddie,” you say testily as you knock the bar with your bank card.
“Now I can't look at you?” He asks with an amused grin.
“I said quit staring, not quit looking,” you huff out.
“What's the difference?” He asks, shrugging his shoulders and scrunching his nose at you.
You groan, turning on your stool to face him. “You are impossible,”
He sticks his long tongue out childishly, flashing his piercing at you.
Thankfully, John's voice cuts through the squabble. “What can I get you?”
“May I have a beer, please?”
“You certainly may.” John cocks his thumb in your direction, addressing Eddie, “I like this one, she's polite. Don't scare her off.”
Eddie dramatically holds his chest. “You wound me, sir!”
Two beers are placed on the bar and John waves your card away. “Don't worry about it, Mac's treating you guys tonight.”
As you swig your beer, you contemplate for a moment, trying to work out something.
“You're staring, sweetheart.” Eddie grins, as he gulps his drink.
“I wasn't staring, I was thinking! I know that's a foreign concept to you.” It's catty, you know that, but he just seems to bring it out in you. No one else has annoyed you so much in your life just by… being.
“That was rude. I thought we were playing nice?” he pouts playfully.
“Sorry. I- Can I ask you something?”
“Sure, shoot.”
Turning to him, you speak what's on your mind. “Why do people get their tongues pierced? No one really sees it. I get like, nose and eyebrow piercings and stuff, but the tongue one I don't understand.”
Eddie's grin is wide as he bites his bottom lip and stares at you. Well, you couldn't call it a grin. It's a flash of teeth, almost wolfish in its delivery.
“Oh princess, you are too cute.”
Staring at him with your brow furrowed, you try to work out what he means, but the longer you take, the more amused he looks.
“What? What is it?”
Sighing, he leans closer, the scent of aftershave, cigarettes and man clouding around you. “It's got a purpose, sweetheart.”
“What, like, kissing?”
Shaking his head, he looks you up and down. “Kinda. Kissing somewhere… specific.”
Realisation breaks across your face, followed by a fierce blush that you can feel to the roots of your hair. Laughing, Eddie pulls away a little and takes a mouthful of beer.
Voice an airy whisper, you lean over to him as you speak. “And girls like that?”
His laugh is so loud it reverberates around the bar.
“Yeah, a lot, in my experience.”
“Oh.”
Well, the thought is there now, and you're pretty sure it won't ever go away, not without some sort of mind bleach. Eddie's head between your legs, his long tongue exploring your sex. The image is burned into the back of your brain, playing on a loop.
“You're looking a little hot there,” he says, as if he can read your thoughts. It's fair to say it wouldn't take a psychic to know what's rattling around your head right now.
“I'm fine, this sweater is too warm,” you shake out, pressing your thighs together.
“Liar.”
Mouth opening and closing like a fish, you finally snap it shut with a crunch. Curiosity is eating away at you, and it's too easy to say what's on your mind after a couple of drinks.
“Eddie, could you… tell me, what- what it's like?”
He chuckles lightly and scoots closer to you. “you know I can't, I've not exactly had the pleasure.”
“I know that, I mean…”
For a second he just gapes at you.
“Wait, princess, are you asking me to tell you or… show you?”
Flustered, you turn away a little. “Sorry that's- that's too much isn't it. It's just you… did such a good job with the, you know, the other thing, I was just curious.”
Eddie bites his lip, puffing out a little breath. “You know, flattery works with me. I did a good job, huh?”
“Well, yeah. I can imagine you'd be really good at… that too. I could, owe you a favour?” It's bold, especially from you, but the way he's looking at you, the slight flush to his cheeks, you'd put money on him agreeing.
Eddie stares at you incredulously. “Wait, you're saying you want me to stick my tongue in the holiest of holes and then you owe me a favour?”
“Yeah? Like a little… arrangement.”
He rubs his face with his hand, his voice muffled as he speaks. “I'd feel like I was taking advantage of you.”
That confuses you for a moment. Surely you were the one who asked him? Hesitantly you reach out and touch soft fingertips to the back of his hand.
“Please?”
“Fuck.” He looks around, and turns to you, gazing into your eyes for a moment.
“Fine. Right now.”
“Oh I didn't-”
“Listen, before I change my mind. Meet me out back. I'll tell the guys you're not feeling well and I'm taking you home.”
Wordlessly, you grab your purse and head to the back door, heart hammering in your ears. It's a little dank out here, with the sound of a dripping pipe and moss covering the cement. Eddie comes out a moment later looking more serious than you've ever seen him.
“You sure about this?” He asks, searching your eyes.
‘Yeah, but…” you look around the small yard, gesturing vaguely.
“Oh. Oh! You thought- oh Christ no, not here. I'm not a complete asshole. Come with me.”
Letting out a relieved breath, you follow him. He walks over to a gate in the fence and opens it, which leads down a narrow alleyway, a little shortcut between yards. That eventually opens up to another road with a couple of apartment blocks. The one he moves towards looks mostly clean, if a bit lifeless, with a creepy looking van parked out the front.
“This way sweetheart,” he says, leading you through the courtyard and to the stairs.
For a second you stop in sheer surprise.
“Wait, you live this close and you still manage to be late for work?”
He chuckles, looking at you over his shoulder. “I have a condition, you know. Chronic tardiness; I'm afraid there's no cure.”
You bat him on the arm playfully and he grasps your wrist, stopping on the stairs briefly, giving you a look that is wickedness personified.
“If you're gonna hit me, do it properly.”
“Eddie!”
He laughs loud and grabs your hand, holding it in his until he reaches his door. That alone is enough to shut you up. It's warm and rough, and the feeling of his skin on yours, no matter how tiny, sends bolts of sensation through you.
“Right, here is my castle,” he says as he opens the door and lets you inside.
Chaos. That's the first word that crosses your mind. It doesn't look dirty, there's just things everywhere. A bookshelf stuffed with books and weird little trinkets placed any which way dominates one wall, and another on the other side with a huge music collection. There's a poky little kitchen with a couple of pots still in the sink, and a big couch with mismatched cushions takes up the remaining space. A tower of board games is precariously leaning next to it, and on the wall over the TV is an honest to goodness sword.
“It's nice,” you say as you walk in, as if you're not mentally organising it in your head.
“You hate it.” He scoffs, pulling his boots off and dumping them by the door.
“No, no, it's very… you.”
“I stand by my previous statement.” He grins at you, clearly indicating he wasn't being entirely serious.
“This is the bedroom.” He walks over and nudges the door open with his foot. Surprisingly, apart from an open clothes rail, an overflowing laundry hamper, and an enormous bed, there's not much in it. The wallpaper is a pretty purple colour, and looks oddly familiar.
“Eddie isn't that the same wallpaper-”
“-As the shop? Yeah. Mac let me have the leftovers. I was broke and this room was fucking pink.”
You snort out a laugh; the thought of Eddie with a pretty pink bedroom was rather unbelievable.
“Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. I can live with purple.” He roots around and grabs a pair of sweats. “Make yourself comfortable, I'm gonna change real quick.”
Then he walks out into another doorway, you assume the bathroom. The urge to snoop is real, but you resist. It looks like he spends less time here anyway.
The question is, how comfortable are you supposed to make yourself? Nerves start settling in, the thought of what you've asked him to do is finally sinking its way into your mind and down your jangling spine. What if he doesn't like the underwear you're wearing? God, you've been at work all day, what if you smell bad? Or taste bad? What if-
“You can sit down, princess.”
Eddie saunters back in, shirtless, a pair of grey sweatpants hanging so low on his hips you see his cut groin. A little squeak hiccups out of your throat at the sight. You stay standing, ready to make your excuses and leave, but the signal hasn't reached your legs just yet.
“What's wrong?” his eyes are brimming with concern as he steps toward you.
“No I- I was- maybe this-”
“Hey, look at me,” he says, grabbing both of your hands. You stare up at him, his face gentle.
“Whatever you're worried about, I'm sure it's nothing.”
“But i haven't showered-”
“When did you last?”
“Well… this morning.”
“You're fine. Trust me.”
He backs you up onto the bed, your knees folding as you flop down. The air around you feels full, humid with anticipation. He's so close, your bodies almost pressed together.
“I wanna kiss you.” He says softly, stroking a lock of your hair out of your face. Heart leaping into your throat, you try to suppress the urge to lean forward. The last thing you need is to fall for this man. Chloe's words echo in your head; he's not boyfriend material.
He'll break your heart.
“That's not part of our deal, Eddie.”
A frown flickers across his face. It's just for a second, a flash of vulnerability, before his usual cocky smile returns.
“That's not where I wanna kiss you.” He winks and tugs at your top, “can I take this off?”
Nodding wordlessly, you help him and wriggle it up and over your head.
“God damn.” Eddie props up on an elbow, running a finger between your breasts, before following the edge of your black cotton bra.
He looks up at your face, grinning wide, and points at your neck; little purple marks adorn it. “That why you wore that sweater today?”
Flushing crimson, you run fingers across your neck.
“Yeah, you marked me Eddie. Not exactly discreet.”
He chuckles, stroking the side of your neck. “Sorry sweetheart, I won't do it again. Well, not anywhere that anyone can see.”
Heat floods your stomach, the stark realisation that you want him to mark you clings to your insides. If he notices your reaction he doesn't say, instead he leans toward you pressing a gentle kiss to your cheek.
“You're really pretty. I don't know if I said that before.”
Awash with a new heat in your cheeks, you smile bashfully. “Thanks, I don't get told that very much.”
Staring at you, he shakes his head.
“You should. You should be told every fucking day.”
You open your mouth, but before you can reply he kisses your jaw, running his tongue down your neck, before he presses his mouth to the top of your breast, sucking roughly. A gasp flies out, and your hand makes a decision entirely on its own to grab his hair.
It seems it was the right thing to do, judging by the deep groan that comes from him. It seems to spur him on, and he yanks the cup of your bra down, taking your nipple into his mouth. His tongue teases it, rubbing his piercing over the pebbled nub.
“Oh Holy fuck!” Back arching with the foreign sensation, you revel in it, wriggling underneath him. He smirks against your skin, and takes your nipple between his teeth. Moaning loudly, you pull his hair.
“Fuck, sweetheart,” He looks up at you, pupils blown to black, “can’t hold back if you do that.”
It's not a dare, but it tastes like one, and before you can think you're tugging at it again. Eddie's eyes roll back, and a hard look crosses underneath his eyes.
His actions turn a little feral, pulling you up so he can unhook your bra, practically ripping it off you before his mouth is all over your chest, firm fingers digging into the flesh of your hip.
“Fuck, Eddie” you stutter it out, voice laced with need.
“Yeah?” He whispers out breathlessly between urgent kisses, making his way down your stomach. Suddenly he takes the flesh of your hip in his mouth and bites down little before sucking a bruise as you writhe under him.
He reaches your skirt, hooking fingers into the waistband as he looks up at you, his tone urgent. “Can I?”
As you nod frantically, he reacts immediately, yanking it down along with your underwear.
“Fuck, look at you.”
The urge to close your legs is real, embarrassed at the way he's ogling you right between your thighs. They quiver with tension, but Eddie forces them open with his large palms.
“Don't hide from me. You still want this?”
You nod, and his head snaps up to look at you. His voice is hard, swirling around your insides with an intensity you're not used to from him.
“Say it. You need to say it.”
‘Yes, please Eddie.”
That satisfies him. He leans forward, breath ghosting over your clit. You're waiting for his mouth, his tongue, but that's not what happens. He inhales you, nose so close it's almost touching your sex.
“Jesus Christ, you smell so fucking good.”
“Eddie!” you cry it out, cringing at his words as you bury your face in your hands.
“Relax princess, it's a compliment.”
Before you can retort that it's not a compliment, it's weird, and he's a freak for saying it, it no longer matters. He's licking a fat stripe up the length of your pussy, long tongue pushing against you hard in an animal-like gesture.
The noise that expels from your chest is inhuman, a choked, guttural breath that belongs in a cave somewhere, not a bedroom.
He doesn't relent, his mouth exploring every inch of you with a ferality that has you tingling all the way to your toes. His fierce movements, accentuated by the bump of his piercing, have you nearly leaving the mattress. You're not sure if you're trying to get more, or move away. Not that it matters. His hands are holding you so firmly that all you can do is wriggle helplessly like a fish on a line.
Fingers trace the outside of your entrance before they slide in, beckoning your release. Whimpering, you grasp the bedsheets in a need to keep contact with something real.
“Talk to me,” he says between mind numbing messy kisses to your clit, “good, yeah?”
“Eddie, f-fuck, its incredible, please, oh God, k-keep going!”
You can practically feel the smirk on his face as he dives back in, suckling at your clit with an unmatched fervour, his tongue piercing flicking expertly as he does so. Suddenly, you're not creeping toward your release, you're being hurtled toward it, thrown into the depths of absolute pleasure.
Hands finding their way into Eddie's hair again, you hold on tight, buckling up for the ride. It's almost violent the way he pulls your climax from you, and you scream loudly, almost folding in half before you fall back onto the bed.
Eddie sits up, hands placed on your thighs, as he grins proudly, face shining with your slick.
“You OK princess?”
OK doesn't seem to cover it. You're panting wildly, each breath shallow and ragged, brain melted into soup.
“Think you can go again?”
That gets your attention. You sit up, gaping at him. “Again?”
Chuckling, he runs a finger up your slit and circles your clit in a teasing manner. The slight touch has your thighs trembling.
“I think you've got at least one more in you.”
Without a further word he presses his tongue against you. On instinct you grip his hair once more, bucking your hips up.
“Fuck, that's it sweetheart, ride my face.”
This time he slips his tongue inside as his nose nudges at your clit, the thick muscle curling and writhing. Holding on tight, your hips know what to do, your body reacting and rolling to meet him.
You're yanking his hair hard as you grind against his face, pulling deep grunts and moans from him which vibrate inside of you. It feels primal, sheer need clouding your mind, a fog that rolls into every limb and leaves no part untouched.
“Eddie, fuck!” You moan loudly as your walls clench around his tongue, another climax bubbling its way to the surface. He doubles down with his efforts almost as if he needs this as much as you do.
With one final thrust of his tongue you whine out your orgasm, back finally touching the bed once more. There are no thoughts, only your heavy breath and beating heart keeping you in the moment.
After a few seconds that seem to stretch on for a year, he hovers over your face. He's wiped off your release, but nothing could wipe that smug grin.
“So? Good?”
It's not like he doesn't know. You pat blindly at his arm, words stuck in a puddle on your tongue. In an unexpected tender gesture, he swipes his thumb over your chin, his gaze pensive. You stare back, fingers reaching out to gently touch his cheek.
“Are you going to kiss me?” You whisper, the words pooling from you unbidden.
For a split second you think he's going to lean in and close the gap, but he flashes his teeth at you and flicks the tip of your nose.
“That's not part of the deal.”
Disappointment leaks into your stomach. Which is entirely unfair. He's using your words after all. Fighting the feeling, you force a smile.
“I think I'll need a wheelchair to get home.” You chuckle, indicating to your still twitching legs.
“Stay here. I'll take the couch.”
“Oh, no, Eddie, I couldn't kick you out of your own bed thats-”
“Hey, it's fine, honestly. I wouldn't offer if I didn't mean it.” He shrugs and rolls off the bed and onto his feet in one quick movement like a cat. “Here. If you want something to sleep in.” He hands you a faded t-shirt. Hesitating for a moment, your hand hovers over it, but he stuffs it into your grip.
“Honestly, it's fine. I can drop you home before work so you can get changed and stuff. No big deal.”
“What about your chronic tardiness?” You joke, smiling softly at him.
“You're here, I'm sure you'll whip me into shape.”
“You'd probably like that,” you tease.
“More than you know.” He winks again, and walks to the doorway. “Night, princess.”
“Night Eddie.”
When he's gone you shrug the shirt on. It's clean, but there's an undercurrent of pure Eddie still there that's more comforting than you'll care to admit. Then, you lay there, staring at the ceiling.
Well. You certainly weren't expecting to end up in Eddie's room, in his bed, but here you are. You're not sure what this all means just yet and processing it is just hurting your brain. A part of you is saying that you should get out now whilst you can. Another, louder part is telling you this is where you should be. The only problem: is this message coming from your heart, or much lower down?
Chloe drifts into your mind whilst you lay there. Did they hook up in this bed? Are you in the same place she was? And how did that end? Clearly it was on good terms, considering how friendly they are, but how many girls have been where you are right now? A few? A dozen? A hundred?
After a while your thoughts just start to ache, leaving a migraine behind your eyes. Shifting on the bed, you try to get comfortable, but it's no use. You wonder if Eddie is still awake. After all, he's the only one that can answer your questions.
Sitting up a little, you listen intently for any signs of life from the next room, but no matter how hard you strain your ears, you can't hear anything.
As you quietly get up and creep to the door, you press your ear to it. Maybe that was a word you heard, a loud breath, or the signs of an overactive imagination. Turning the doorknob like a safecracker, you inch the door open ever so slightly to peek beyond.
There he is, laying on the couch, eyes tight shut and face contorted in concentration. Odd. You slowly guide the door open a little more and your eyes nearly bug out of your head.
Eddie's laying there, hand down his sweats, tugging at himself like there's no tomorrow.
You almost cry out in shock but manage to swallow the noise just in time. For what feels like a full minute you stand and stare, mouth gaping open. It's like you're hypnotised, unable to tear away from his urgent movements.
A particularly good stroke has him bucking into his hand, and he lets out this strained whimper that shoots directly between your legs.
Right, stop. This is wrong. How would you feel if he caught you? …OK, bad example.
Reluctantly, you close the door again as quietly as you can before climbing back into his bed to stare at the ceiling once more.
It looks like it's going to be a long night.
********************
“You look really great,” Chloe says as she strolls into the shop, handing you a coffee, “like, happier, more relaxed.”
It's a few days after your impromptu sleepover at Eddie's place, and she's absolutely right. You do look more relaxed, even you've noticed the change. There's more confidence in you, and a smile that was once a little forced is warm and genuine.
“Thanks, I think I'm getting more comfortable here.” It's not a lie, exactly, but it's certainly not the whole truth.
“Good, glad to hear it!” She beams at you and heads to her table.
The bell over the door chimes once again startling you. Miranda and Mac are already here and it couldn't possibly be Eddie this early.
“Um… Hi.” A gangly youth walks in, all arms and legs and bright blonde hair. He shuffles over to the counter awkwardly.
“Morning, can I help you?”
“Y-yeah, you do walk-ins today, right?” He asks, brandishing a crumpled flyer at you.
Face lighting up, you fix your best smile.
“Why yes we do, it's walk-in Wednesday. It's a little early though. Can I see some ID?
He hands it over. The guy's freshly 21 and knows it, puffing out his little pigeon chest with pride.
“Excellent. It's about 10 minutes until we open, but Miranda will be with you. Miranda, you got a book for this guy?”
Confusion paints Mirandas's face, but then she smiles.
“A walk in? Wow.” She strolls over and hands him her portfolio of designs, introducing herself.
When Eddie finally turns up, there's another guy waiting.
“You're not my 10:30.”
The poor boy looks at him nervously like he did something wrong.
“Eddie, he's a walk-in.” Mac says, calling over his shoulder.
Eddie smirks at you and leans over the counter.
“Well well, bet you're happy. Atta girl.”
Blushing profusely, you move to tap him on the arm in warning, but he grabs your hand and kisses it. Heat flies straight to your belly at the gesture.
“Let me know when my 10:30 is here, alright sweetheart?”
He's still holding your hand, brushing his fingers over your knuckles. Weakly you nod, gazing at him as your toes curl in your shoes.
Shooting you a wink, he ambles over to his station as you watch him, eyes drawn to the way he moves.
There's three more clients asking about Wednesdays; granted, one didn't have an ID, but the other two were seen and inked, and one even booked a follow up with Miranda.
Buzzing with job satisfaction, you're grinning when you nip to the restroom, walking through the narrow corridor. As you exit, you're immediately accosted by Eddie. He stands close, a hand loosely holding your wrist to keep you there as he bends to whisper in your ear.
“Now, you're not supposed to touch fine art, but someone's gotta pin you against the wall and nail you right.”
“Eddie!” You whisper shout at him, only serving to make him chuckle low in his throat.
“Sorry, couldn't resist. I have an idea, for that favour you owe me?”
Body tensing of its own accord, you look up at him, your cheeks flushed and mouth slightly parted. Before you can ask what it is, a voice cuts through the tension.
“Hey, keep it at home guys.”
Mac's standing at the other end of the corridor with his arms crossed, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Pursing your lips, you wriggle from Eddie's grip.
“It's not what it looks like Mac, I promise.” You say, shouldering past Eddie.
“Come on sweetheart, don't get all shy on me now!” He shouts, walking after you.
You ignore him, giving Mac an apologetic look, and sit back down at the counter. God, that was embarrassing. Seems like professional and discreet are out the window.
“So, as I was saying-”
“Eddie, stop, not now.” you say, cheeks bright red.
“I was only-”
“Eddie please! I don't want to get into trouble!”
Eddie scoffs and rolls his eyes, but backs off finally.
You make a very clear point of being busy until the rest of the day, completing any ad hoc tasks you can think of. Tidying the stock cupboards, refreshing the consent sheets, and even organising the sparse counter. Anything to avoid further comment from Mac.
When six rolls around you turn to talk to Eddie, but he's already leaving without a glance at you.
Sighing, you make your way outside and home, trying to ignore the little sting in your chest.
********************
It's Saturday before you see him again. Your day off was mostly spent worrying about how you upset him and thinking about everything you could have done differently.
By the morning you're an emotional wreck, anxiety having done her job and left you a bubbling mass of maybes. When Eddie storms in the shop with a proverbial rain cloud over his head your heart pangs in your chest.
He's such a big character, and you didn't realise until now the influence this has on this place. Usually he's energetic and upbeat; however, with this melancholy energy coming from him, everyone seems to stoop a little more, eyes a touch downcast, movements more shuffled and broken. It's like a black hole has descended on the shop, pulling joy from your soul and sucking everything into its gravity.
The tattoo shop is quiet for a Saturday. Not from lack of customers; it's just a more hushed and sullen atmosphere. By the afternoon you decide enough is enough and you grab Eddie's arm between clients.
“Eddie, can I talk to you?”
He gets up, stretching his back in a feline movement, and walks with you slowly to the stockroom.
“Listen, I'm really sorry about what happened on Wednesday, I didn't want to upset you and I can't stand seeing you like this and-”
“Woah, sweetheart, slow down. You been worrying? About me?” He tilts his head, giving you a small lopsided smile.
“Yeah? I thought you were mad at me.” You mumble out.
“Oh, princess, come here.” He wraps you in his arms, holding your head close to his chest. A relieved breath puffs from your chest as you melt into the hug.
“That's not what I'm upset about, I promise.”
You pull from the embrace to look at him, a hopeful smile tugging at your lips.
“Really?”
Stroking your cheek softly, he presses his lips together. “You're adorable,” he moves his hand away and starts waving his arm about as he tells you what's wrong.
“You know I'm in a band? Well we've got this regular gig at Hatters, which is great and all, but I found out they're looking for more bands at The Pit. That big rock club on Main? I've been trying to get hold of the damn owner but he's ignoring all my calls and I'm pissed off.”
Grinning, you grab his arm. “Eddie, I can totally help you with that.”
His gaze is soft and warm as he asks “Really? You'd do that for me?”
“Of course I would. You got their number?”
He digs around in his pocket and passes you a wedge of shiny paper. Unfolding it, you look at the details, smiling even wider when you see they're attempting a ladies night. There's a telephone number at the bottom, the contact listed as William.
“I gotta idea. Just roll with it, OK?”
He looks confused but nods at you. Skipping to the counter, you pick up the phone and dial the number. When it's answered by a young woman, you speak with a nasal voice, sounding almost bored.
“Is Bill there?- Tell him it's Barb- oh trust me he's gonna wanna take this call honey.”
Eddie's staring at you with an amused expression; you look back at him, flashing a smile while you wait.
“Bill! How long has it been! Oh, don't say you don't remember me… oh, you do!- I'm good, I'm good- I'm managing this band, yeah, you've gotta book them- Corroded Coffin- yeah, yeah- They are hot right now, selling out their shows- look I know you're struggling getting the ladies in, but that's about to change. Their lead singer is- well lemme tell you, if I were a younger woman- haha yes, sounds great! Next Saturday?- Nine- Great stuff- I'll speak to you soon.”
Placing the phone down with a little click, you cross your legs and look at Eddie smugly.
His jaw may as well be on the floor, eyebrows so high that he resembles a cartoon character.
“Barb? Selling out their shows? If I were a younger woman? Where the fuck did that come from?”
You giggle, “I thought he'd listen if he thought I was a business connection. I took a shot, a little bullshit can take you far.”
He swoops over to you and grabs you in his arms, lifting you bodily from your seat and swinging you around as you squeal helplessly.
“Saturday? Not even midweek? Princess I owe you big time.”
“Eddie I already owe-”
He's not listening, running over to Mac and bouncing on the spot like a child. “Mac, Mac, did you hear? I'm playing at The Pit!!”
You watch as he explains what just happened; he's so animated, gesticulating wildly as loose locks of hair fly from his bun. Mac beams at him and hugs him in a fatherly motion before Eddie springs back over to you.
“Who the fuck is Barb?”
“I dunno, she sounded worldly.”
He grins, shaking his head, “I can't believe you lied for me. You seem… different lately. More confident. It suits you.”
Blushing, you thank him. For a second you stare at each other, both lost in the other.
Eddie shakes his head, and looks at the time.
“Fuck, right, I got 20 minutes, I'll be back!” He grabs his coat and runs out of the shop shouting “personal errand!”
Chuckling, you sit back down at the counter. Mac approaches, smiling softly.
“You did good Miss, he's really happy.”
“Thanks, I couldn't bear the sulking.”
He laughs and touches your shoulder, “he cares about you. In case you didn't notice.”
He walks away nonchalantly as if he didn't just drop a bomb at your feet. Eddie cares about you? You're still pondering it when he returns a half hour later looking sweaty and dishevelled.
“Princess, I got you a present,” he whispers, brandishing a nondescript black bag at you. You peek inside and shut it immediately.
“Eddie what the fuck!” You whisper, face flooding with blood at the sight as you hide it under the counter. There's a sex toy in the bag, well at least one, but you were so shocked at the sight you didn't get a good look.
He chuckles and leans in close. “Thought you'd like it.”
“Eddie I don't know how to- to use this stuff,” you mumble quietly, looking around to make sure no one's listening.
He smirks at you in response.
“You free tonight? I can show you.”

PART 1 => 🦋
Here I was folded in half getting dicked down by a man whose name I had learned only a few hours ago. I was on my back with my ankles on his shoulders being fucked through a goddamn mattress. He was using his knees to push my thighs back further pounding away at my pussy, and it was obvious that he enjoyed watching himself slide in and out. "Shit... Ughh... Come on, Mama. You're doing so well for me!" he said thrusting into me like a jackhammer. I could feel myself tightening around his dick.
My pussy was obnoxiously creamy now. The lewd sound his dick had coming from my pussy would put even your grandmother's mac and cheese to shame. This man was stirring my insides like instant mashed potatoes, and I couldn't do a goddamn thing about it.
I had been severely overstimulated and beyond fucked out. Over and over and over again. He had the stamina of a Brahman Bull and the strength of a gorilla. This was the first time a man had ever treated me this way. Like the slutty princess I was. He was tossing around my 230-pound body like I weighed nothing to him. Where had this man been all my life?
"Lil' Mama, you listenin' to me?" he asked me through gritted teeth. "Terry, I...," I said trying to form at least one coherent thought. "What did you just call me?" he asked his expression quickly changing from focused to angry. Oops. I looked down at him trying my hardest to form an apologetic smile.
Terry wrapped his arms around both of my thighs and yanked me closer to the bottom edge of the bed. His swift movements allowed his hips to stay connected to mine so that his dick never slipped out. He leaned in closer and let his body rest on top of mine. He pushed my thighs upward against his chest so that my clit was still accessible. I felt his hands rub soft trails along the outside of my body. One hand continued its adventure up my stopping to rest on my breast while the other found a home on my swollen clit.
He had found out that I was easily overstimulated when it came to my nipples. He began to twirl each nipple between his thumb and index finger. When I wasn't giving him the immediate response he was seeking, he began to smack each of my breasts. He started alternating back and forth between slapping and pinching both nipples. I could tell by the throbbing coming from my pussy that I wasn't going to last much longer. The pleasure was so intense that my mouth refused to let any sound escape from my lips. I couldn't moan. I couldn't groan. I couldn't cry. All I could do was take it.
Terry was well aware of the amount of ecstasy I was feeling. As if his goal was to torture me, he used the thumb on his other hand to start rubbing circles around my clit. I closed my eyes trying to think my way through this suffering. He wasn't playing fair. My back was arching off the bed pushing my chest towards his. He forcefully pushed my body down so that my body was flush against the bed. "Unh... Unh... Nope. You gone open those eyes and look at Daddy," he said reaching for my throat with the hand that was no longer playing with my breasts. "Mmm... I can't," I moaned out. "What did I say?" he said moving his hand to the back of my head and forcing me to look between us.
It was a beautiful sight. All I could see was my glistening pussy swallowing each inch of his heavy dick. He was putting on a show now. He would slowly pull all the way out to the tip and slam back in until our hips collided. "Tell me how much you like this dick, pretty girl. Come on, mama. Talk to me," he said pulling out and giving me slow shallow strokes. I couldn't come up with an accurate answer because telling him it was good wouldn't do.
"Fuck. I... mmm... love it, Daddy. It's... it's perfect," I said reaching up to stroke his forearm. "Yeah, I know. I can tell by how you grippin' me. Now, move your fuckin' hand. Uh oh, you finna cum? Huh? Tell me," he said letting go of my head and removing his hand from between my legs. He was once again standing before me and his hips still never stopped moving. His thrust began to get deeper again, and he was bottoming out with every stroke. He was using his grip on my thighs as leverage to thrust upward. He was pulling my body against him each time to match his movements. It was as if he was using my body against me. "Look at you. You look so pretty. You don't know whether you goin' or comin'. This dick got you dumb, huh?" he asked peering down at me. GREEN-EYED BASTARD.
I couldn't answer. "Mhmm..." I moaned out reaching up towards the headboard. "Unh.. Unh... Words," he growled smacking the side of my thigh. I screamed in pain. That was all it took for my pussy to begin clenching him again. My body couldn't take anymore, and I was about to explode. "Is there somethin' you wanna ask me? Huh? 'Cause if you do what I think you finna do without permission, you gone wish you wouldn't have, princess," he grunted. The raspiness of his voice was evidence of his growing fatigue and approaching climax.
"Please, Daddy. I...I need it. Please, can I come?" I begged with tears rolling down the sides of my face. "You think you deserve it? Huh?" he asked torturing me. "Yes, Daddy. I....," I said bawling. Tears were streaming down the sides of my face now. "Go ahead. Make a fuckin' mess. Let Daddy have it," he replied as I watched a sinister smirk takeover his face. His hips moved faster, and I was already a leaking mess. The noises my pussy made and our hips colliding were the only sounds in the room. Both of us went silent from being too caught up in the pursuit of pleasure.
The rising pressure in my belly was causing a fever to wash over my body. Every part of me was becoming more sensitive by the second. Each stroke only added to the tsunami that was about to crash. It felt like everything around me went black. My ears stopped working, my body stopped responding, and my mind went blank. I came hard and intense. Every fluid built up from his persistent edging flowed out of me like a river. His hips, my thighs, the bed, and the floor were now soaked. The arch in my back felt painful and agonizing. My breathing was labored, and I was struggling to recover. However, Terry had other plans, and the relief I felt was quickly overpowered by the feeling that his strokes never stilled or slowed down. He was fucking me through my orgasm. Why? Why the fuck was he doing this to me?
I held my hand up, but he grabbed my wrist and pinned it down. "Hands off. You know better. Come on. Daddy's almost there, baby. Just a little more," he said looking at me. His bottom lip was swollen from him biting it so hard. "Go ahead, Daddy. It's yours. This pussy is yours. Take... Ahhh... Take...it...from...me," I moaned through each stroke. I was absolutely in a fucked out frenzy. If he wasn't going to stop, I would just have to talk my way through it.
I could feel his body tightening up and his hips beginning to stiffen. He slowed his strokes and glared down at me, and his face was a distorted expression of increasing pleasure. "You want this nut, then come get it!" he growled through gritted teeth. He pulled out of me and began stroking himself. I knew what he wanted, and I wanted it, too.
The dick dumb bitch I was in this moment wanted to taste him, suck him, lick him, swallow him, and do it again. The way this man just thoroughly fucked me... HE DESERVED IT!
I went on my knees at the foot of the bed. The carpeted floor was providing no relief for my aching body. I reached for his dick, but he instantly smacked my hand away. "No, ma'am. All mouth. Hands on your lap," he said gripping my chin. He lifted my face so that his dick rested on my lips. It was heavy, and I loved the weight of it. I opened my mouth and took as much of it in as I could without instantly choking or gagging.
He looked down at me with low eyes. Even from this angle, he was one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen. The moonlight glistened off the sweat on his smooth brown skin. I could feel his hands gripping the hair at the nape of my neck. "More!" he rumbled as pushed my head down further to take in more of him.
I relaxed my throat, and let him use me. He began thrusting into my mouth with no remorse. Tears were starting to fall again, and spit bubbles were pouring from the sides of my mouth. I slurped my way off his dick and let it fall out of my mouth. I leaned back a little so his dick now rested on my cheek. I used my tongue to lick along the underside of him and slowly traced a single solid vein from his tip until I reached his base. He shuddered at the feeling. I flattened my tongue and began to lap at his balls. I opened my mouth to allow one of them in. I sucked slightly and opened my mouth while inhaling. I used the feeling of the cold air and my saliva for his stimulation. "Aww... Ugh... Fuck you. You nasty bitch. Mmm...," he said grunting. His head fell back, and the grip he had on my hair tightened. I switched sides and showed the other one the same attention.
His head fell back down, and his scowl had returned. I smiled at him. "I love what the fuck you doing Mama. I'm gone need this all the time. You gone be a good girl for me? Huh?" he asked pulling my head up so that I was looking directly at him. "Of course, Daddy," I said leaning forward and putting the tip in my mouth. I let my tongue flatten on his head and licked off any existing precum. "Daddy doesn't like when his nut goes to waste, baby girl. It's time to prove you're a big girl for... uh shit... Prove you're a big girl for Daddy," he said thrusting himself completely into my mouth. I opened as wide as I could, so my teeth wouldn't touch him. I didn't wanna disappoint Daddy. I held myself there. My nose burrowed into the small patch of hair above his dick. Saliva was now pooling from the sides of my mouth. I slurped up as much as I could while fighting that nagging feeling in the back of my throat.
"You want it, huh?" he asked glaring down at me. I looked up at him bashfully. "Yes, Daddy!" I moaned around his dick. He laughed back at my dick-filled response. He let both of his hands find their place in my tangled hair and wrapped them around the base of my skull interlocking his fingers. He pushed my head down and held it there.
Terry's orgasm came with a vengeance. Warm spurts of his cum filled and coated my throat. I immediately began swallowing. The last thing I wanted to do was choke after I had done so well. I opened my throat and sucked at his base. I swallowed every last drop even cleaning up leftovers from before. He hovered over me a panting mess while his dick remained in my mouth. His disgruntled moans turned into groans. I searched for his eyes out of concern, but they were closed. He was leaning over me with one hand bracing himself up.
I decided to let him ride out his high and come down slowly. I was in no rush to release this man. I slowly removed myself from his dick but not completely. I kept his head in my mouth and began to lick around it.
Yes, this should have been the end. But I needed my win, and I needed it now! Yes, I had come three times already, but I needed more. One more. Not from me but from HIM. Nah, I wasn't done. Big Mama had one more trick up her sleeve. I began to lick all over him again. I could feel him lean up. "Lil' mama, what chu doin', girl?" he moaned out. I could feel him start to struggle because he was still groggy from his orgasm and succumbing to his fatigue. Hell, that's exactly what I wanted. I wanted this big-ass man to crumble. I was the wrecking ball that was about to knock this nigga down.
BRICK. BY. MOTHERFUCKIN'. BRICK.
This was more than overstimulation. I wanted him to try to stop me. I wanted to hear him beg. Just like he did me. Check-fuckin'-mate! When I was crying and begging, he laughed and told me to take it. Now, it was his turn. I wanted him to see how it felt. He needed to know how it felt to not be in control.
He grabbed my hair again to try and pull me off. I threw my arms around him. As I pulled him closer, I swallowed him whole again. I wrapped my arms around this man like a toddler refusing to let their father leave for work. No, sir. He wasn't about to go any-fuckin'-where. I made sure to only leave enough space for me to move my head but not enough for him to move his hips. I looked up at him with a menacing grin of victory and a mouth full of dick. His face was distorted in anguish, and that smug grin he held before was overtaken by a pout of desperation.
Oh well, this was his fault. Why did he have to taste so good? Why did he fuck me like that? Why did he have to show out like that? Now, I was going to have to show him who I was. BIG MAMA, AND HE BETTER NOT FUCKING FORGET IT!
I was sucking this man like I was trying to drain him of everything he had. As I looked up at him, our eyes met. This time I didn't break away from his gaze. Baby, I held it. I wanted him to watch me take his soul. He smiled down at me weakly. I knew what that meant. He had finally realized he had no choice but to take it. Let me have MY way. Terry was losing it.
His knees started to buckle, so I let one hand slide up to the lower half of his back to support him. I didn't want Daddy falling, now did I? "What the fuck you doing to me, girl?" he asked pulling his bottom lip in between his teeth.
If I remember correctly, I said I would taste him, suck him, lick him, swallow him, and do it again. Didn't I?
I moved my head up and down his shaft while still sucking until I got to his tip. I pulled off and used my lips to kiss the tip. "Ughh... Ahhh... You can't keep doin' me like this? Baby girl,... Fuck, I can't... I can't even think," he said throwing his head back again and placing his hands on my shoulders. "Not so fun when it's you, huh?" I said while licking the same vein as before. "You... *kiss* should've... *lick* left... *kiss* me... *lick* alone," I said kissing and licking back towards the tip. I hovered there for a second and began rubbing and swirling the tip of my tongue against his opening collecting all of my earnings. He was dripping all over again.
I opened my mouth and only allowed the head in because I wasn't done talking my shit, and I needed him to hear me. "I tried to be nice." *suck* "I tried to behave." *suck* "You just wouldn't let me," I said sucking him up again. "Alright... Fuck... Ah, shit... I get it, baby" he said looking down at me. His eyebrows were knitted together like he was in pain. "Too late. My turn," I said letting my throat do all the work. I gave him everything I had. I could feel how close he was. "Fuck... I can't..." he said his head rolling on his shoulders. He removed his hand from my shoulders and rubbed his face.
This was the moment I had worked so hard for. The moment when he knew that HE WAS DEFEATED.
He had been beaten at his own game. All that shit-talking. All that teasing. All that edging. All that dominant energy. All of it went out the window when I was on my knees. Think about it. I was in one of the most submissive and vulnerable positions for this man, and he couldn't beat me. How ironic was that?
I felt the muscles in his legs stiffen and his ass tighten. I sucked on his head until I felt him coming. The load of this orgasm was different than the first one. It was stronger and heavier, and I swallowed all of it. I released my arms from around his waist and let his dick fall out of my mouth. "Is Daddy done?" I asked looking up at him while grabbing his dick at the base. I held it in my hand waiting for an answer. "Huh?" Terry mumbled as he was now the one struggling to find an answer. I gripped his dick tighter in my hands. "I asked you if you were done, Daddy. Are you?" He groaned at the feeling. "Shit... Ahh... Yes, Daddy's done. I...," he said through ragged breaths.
I released his dick and scooted over from between his legs. I was covered in saliva and cum. It stained the entire lower half of my face. My chest and breasts were still wet and sticky. My knees were aching, and my thighs burned from sitting on them for so long. My jaw and throat had suffered the brunt of the "punishment", and it felt like they were on fire. The soreness I felt was not something that was going to wear off by tomorrow, so a day of rest was imminent and inevitable.
I rose to my feet slowly. I had to admit that even though I was a fucking trooper for this, my entire body felt like jello.
As I stood, I caught Terry side-eyeing me. He turned to look at me before collapsing on his back onto the bed as if his body gave out. He sported an exhausted smile. He rubbed his hands up and down his torso. "What? Big Bad Terry had so much to say earlier. You seem kinda quiet now," I said as I sat on the bed beside him. I laid back so that we were side-by-side.
He chuckled deeply. "The fuck am I supposed to say to that, huh?" he asked pulling me closer to him. I wrapped my leg over his waist and looked into his eyes. He stared back at me while stroking small circles along the center of my back. "You're right losers aren't supposed to give speeches after defeat," I said laughing while throwing my arm across his torso. "Losers?" he questioned. "Yeah, that's what I said. Unless... Daddy isn't done," I said moving as if I was going to grab his dick again. "Hell no!" he yelled smacking my hand away. "Scary ass," I whispered before turning away from him to laugh. "So... Since losers don't give speeches, where's yours?" he said scooting to the top of the bed. He sat up so that his back rested against the headboard. He motioned for me to join him.
I got on my hands and knees and crawled to the head of the bed. "Sit," he said grabbing my waist and pulling me down so that I was straddling him. "First off, I don't have a speech. It's more of a statement or a declaration of sorts," I said clasping my hands together in front of me. "And what's that, pretty girl?" he said kissing my lips.
I placed my hands on both sides of his face and gave him gentle kisses everywhere I could. I cupped his chin and raised his face so that he looked me directly in the eyes. "My name is Big Mama, and you will address me as such. Got it?" I said leaning over to plant one final kiss on his forehead.
Just like I said. I might have lost the battle, but I told you Big Mama always wins the war.😉

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THAT ONE ANON I FEEL BAD I'M LATE
===+++===
===+++===
"Please tell me you didn't do it on my sheets," Lottie groaned, lip curled in disgust and eyes hidden by her sunglasses.
"Sorry," you said back from behind your own pair, without looking away from the crystal blue of her pool water. You both were splayed out on her sun-bleached deck chairs, with matching hangovers (and bathrobes) that made the bright, beaming sunlight a whole new level of awful.
Her house was in disarray around you both, with crushed beer cans and overturned chairs all across the pool deck. Some cigarette butts floated in the water and you were certain the sprinklers in her garden were misting a pile of vomit and washing it down the front of her lawn, but neither of you made a move to get up and deal with it yet.
At the far end of the Matthews' pool, there was a statue of a mermaid that doubled as a fountain, spitting water in a gentle stream. Someone had put a snapback that said 'I <3 BOOBIES' on her and a bit of lipstick around the area that water shot out, and though usually you would have laughed, you instead were a bit annoyed by how it was taking you out of what would've been a nice scene.
There was just something about waking up and seeing Nat had gone without any sort of indication, that sparked the sudden urge within you to reconnect with nature. So you were reconnecting— more like brooding— on Lottie's pool deck in a peaceful silence.
After what felt like thirty minutes but was probably more like five, she turned to you. "Do you wanna—”
“—Talk about it?” you finished, raising your eyebrows. You shook your head. “No.”
She pouted. “I was gonna ask if you wanted to make pancakes.”
“Oh… then yes.”
You both lazily trudged into her equally wrecked kitchen, with even more cans and spilled liquids thrown over her marble counters. There was a burnt bag of popcorn sitting in the sink and the garbage can underneath it was overflowing with paper towels, but Lottie's kitchen was big enough where you could ignore it entirely, jumping up to sit on the clean countertop near her massive range cooker.
When Lottie said 'make pancakes,' she really meant she would be the one cooking and you would be there for moral support, if anything. You were gifted in many things but cooking or anything of the sort had never been one of them. Instead you leaned your head against the massive stone hood, and watched her from the pair of sunglasses you still wore.
Nat had laughed at you, when you said you didn't know how to cook. Not an omelette, not mac and cheese, and barely a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Of course, you assumed the last one wouldn't be hard to figure out, but you hadn't ever made one before, and it made her laugh into your chest, where her head had been resting. It hurt a bit now, but you had the sunglasses to shield your eyes while you stared off into space.
"Chocolate chips?" Lottie asked, running a hand through her dark hair and combing out a few knots with her fingers. You nodded, and she turned back to the pan in front of her, grabbing a fancy looking bag from a stack of supplies nearby. "My dad brought fresh chocolate back with him from when he was in the Caribbean a few weeks ago," she said to you, sprinkling it into the pan and flipping it over.
"Is he going to be pissed you're using it for pancakes?" you mumbled, feeling your headache return.
"No more pissed than he'll be when he sees that Jeff and his friends cut off the leg on one of his horse-shaped hedges." You winced, hopping down from the counter and feeling your back still scraped raw from, well, Nat. Lottie shot you a look. "That heated, huh?"
You rolled your eyes, heading towards the kitchen island and grabbing some of the beer cans to toss in the rubbish. "She's made her decision clear. I'm honestly done with it. I don't care anymore."
Lottie didn't say anything, turning back to the pancakes and sliding them on a plate as you slid into the barstool at the other end of her island and rested your head on your elbows. "I mean, she called me selfish, Lottie, and then said she loved me multiple times, minutes later. Who the hell does that?"
"Mhm," she hummed, sticking her spatula and the pan in the sink and then moving to the walk in pantry to grab syrup and powdered sugar.
You watched her go, calling after her. "She disappears for days after she gets mad about me talking to people, and then I see her immediately with Bobby Farleigh of all people, and they're cuddling up! I'm done with it all."
"Okay," Lottie said, reappearing with her arms full and tossing them down on the kitchen island. She clambered up into the seat next to you and stole some of the plain ones for herself, before covering them in syrup.
"And," you continued, remembering something else as you began cutting up the pancakes and smothering them in powdered sugar, "she egged my fucking house! How could I even forget about that? I mean, what was I thinking? I don't want to talk about her."
"Oh yeah," Lottie snorted. "You really don't want to talk about her."
You shot her a glare, stuffing your mouth with an angry fork. "I'm serious, Lottie."
"You wish," she scoffed. "If you were serious— and I'm not trying to be mean— but if you were serious, you wouldn't be ranting all about her. I know you keep saying it's impossible and it can't happen with her, but you sure as hell seem like you want it to happen with her."
You frowned, taking a forkful and stuffing it into your mouth. Right as you did, a couple sheepishly walked down the hall and towards the front door, clothes obviously messed up. They sent you an awkward wave and Lottie gave a quick nod in their direction, turning back to her plate. "Then why'd she leave?" you asked, when the door was shut behind them.
She shrugged. "Why the hell would I know? If anyone here would be the Natalie-whisperer, it would be you."
"Yeah well, apparently not," you huffed, shoving more pancakes into your mouth.
"I mean, it's not like you guys were on glowing terms before you... y'know. Wasn't gonna magically all be fixed, after." You groaned, leaning your forehead down onto the cool marble countertops. It actually felt nice, against your raging headache, but you still felt like crap.
"Would've at least been nice for her to wait until I woke up to go. No 'goodbye,' no 'we should talk,' nothing. When we were just hooking up and stuff, I at least always waited to say goodbye."
"So it's not just hooking up, anymore?"
"I don’t know what it is, Lottie. You tell me, because apparently everyone knows but me." She shrugged, finishing her plate and pushing it away from herself.
"I have an answer, but you're not gonna like it."
"...No, I'm not in love with her."
"You absolutely are."
"I'm done with this!"
"You keep saying that."
"'Cause I am."
"Okay."
"I'm done," you frowned, attempting finality in your tone and coming far short.
"Right," she snorted, and then she stood to grab your now-finished plate too. "Can you help me?”
It took around three hours, to get the Matthews house back to its usual formality. You sprayed burnt and disturbed bushes with the hose, threw out bag upon bag of party rubbish, and vacuumed cigarette butts off the carpet of her living room, silently working while Lottie played some records on her grandfather's old gramophone.
Her dad usually put jazz records on it or snooty classical music, whenever you were over, but Lottie had Dancing Queen blasting throughout her house and was hopping around as she snatched stuff off the mantle and shoved it into bags, turning to you and yelling a lyric from time to time, along to the music.
This wasn't your idea of fun by a long shot, but you could appreciate Lottie trying to make it fun.
"So, how much convincing did you have to do, to get Laura Lee here at a party? I mean, with the alcohol," you asked with a snort, grabbing an almost empty bag of crisps and tossing yourself down in her father's leather armchair to finish them off.
Lottie flushed. "A really embarrassing amount," she admitted. "I kind of glazed over that part."
"I'll bet she was surprised?" you asked with an amused crunch.
"It wasn't even that— this guy from my third period started going at it with this girl right in front her. I had to literally stop her from going over there to talk to them about waiting until marriage."
You shrugged. "I mean, she seems to like you a whole lot."
"She does," Lottie nodded. "She's so sweet to me, and she has the best hand to hold, like, ever."
"Honestly, I'm surprised, but happy for you. You're in a big ol' throuple with Jesus Christ."
"Ha ha," Lottie rolled her eyes, sticking her tongue out at you. "At least whatever we have is holy. I don't even want to think about you and—"
But whatever dig she would've said was cut off by her doorbell ringing. You sighed, letting your feet down from where you had propped them up on the side table and wiping the crumbs on your bathrobe.
"I'll get it," you grumbled, leaving Lottie to clean. When you opened the door there was absolutely no way you could've prepared to see her so soon.
Nat stood awkwardly in the entryway, looking just as surprised to see you as you were to see her. She wore a pair of blue shorts she practiced and slept in, and staring right back at you was the shirt you thought had gone missing weeks ago, barely hidden behind the ratty zip up hoodie she had over it.
Her eyeliner was still smudged from the night before in places, and you stared at her blankly, waiting for her to say something— anything, really.
"I forgot my damn lighter," she said, casting her eyes to the floor after a moment.
"Oh," you replied, feeling a bit stupid suddenly, in your bathrobe and sunglasses, with your flip flops for shoes. You looked like you were mid-spa day, or like someone's drunk uncle on a cruise. Then, before you could stop yourself, you felt an annoyance twinge in your gut, and said "Is that all you've got to say?"
Her eyes shot up, looking challengingly at you, in what was a clear frustration. "What do you want me to say?" But the answer went unsaid, even as much as you didn't like it. That you came back for me.
"I don't know..."
"Great," Nat scoffed. She looked over your shoulder into Lottie's house, as if her lighter would appear behind you and jump right into her hand, and she would just be able to leave. "Can I just have my—"
"—Why did you egg my house?" you shot back, crossing your arms over your chest, trying to block the door a bit more. She raised her eyebrows at you, confused.
"What?"
"You egged my house, after our argument," you repeated, slower, feeling the tips of your ears burning.
"No the hell I didn't."
"Yes the hell you did," you argued back, leaning forward with your hands on your hips. "You're the only one with the gate code. I get it, you were mad, but—"
"—Fucking Christ, I didn't!"
"You wrote a giant 'fuck you' on my house. No one else would."
Nat glared. "I didn't invent it. Is it such an impossible thing for you to consider that maybe not everyone is Team (Y/n)? I don't mean to break your brain, but for once somebody might actually dislike you."
You rolled your eyes. "You're the only one with a history of breaking rules and doing shit."
"So, what, you think I would do that to you?"
"Maybe you would. Maybe you don't care about me at all. That's why you ran off, wasn't it?"
She narrowed her eyes at you. "I had to go, before my dad caught me out."
You shook your head. "Bullshit. You've stayed out, before."
"Oh, so now you're mad that I'm not cuddling up to you?"
"That's not cuddling, that's having me stick my fingers in you and then you run off. You were pissed at me a few days before, Nat, for literally the same thing."
"It's almost like it's confusing, (Y/n), when you get mixed signals. And no, I got pissed at you because you went shopping for girlfriends— which, I'm assuming because you're being an oblivious, self-righteous asshole, you're still doing."
"Yep, still looking," you glared at her. She glared right back, just as steely.
"Great."
"Great," you replied. It was annoying, how good she looked when she was frustrated. She was great at looking mad, and even better at looking good when she was mad. The furrowing of her eyebrows, wrinkling of her nose in anger; she had the face you wanted to kiss away. It was impossible not to wonder, if doing so would uncurl her fists and smooth out the lines on her forehead.
Then you stopped. Holy shit. Everything seemed awful, like a massive case of vertigo had just washed over you. You had had hangovers before, but this somehow seemed infinitely worse. See, a thought had finally self-realised itself within your little peanut brain.
I'm in love with Nat.
It made the ceiling feel like the floor, and Nat sent you a concerned glance and seemed about to question your change in expression, when Lottie came from behind you.
"Hey, Nat," she said with an awkward smile, brushing past you with a look and then handing her the lighter quickly. "Excited for nationals?”
"Yeah," Nat nodded, but her eyes were still glaring at you. She cleared her throat, finally looking off. "Thanks, Lot. Great party."
"Mhm," Lottie nodded, trying her best to seem at ease and not at all like she was walking in on a code-red situation. "Have a great weekend! Bye now! Get home safe! See you!" She rushed, tugging you from beyond the doorway and giving a wave, before shutting the door.
The moment the door was closed, she gave you an unappreciative stare, but your eyes were wide and your cheeks flushed.
"What?" asked Lottie, her eyebrows furrowed with concern.
"I...I think I'm in love with her."
===+++===
Your home was just as empty as it was when you had left the night before. Reginald wasn't even due to come in, since your mother and father weren't home and it was a Saturday. Even the groundskeeper and maid had the day off, and the groan you let out at finally returning home and falling onto the warm rug on your living room floor echoed against the walls of your empty house.
In your hand was the letter you found in your mailbox. A cool black and Princeton-orange colour. You already knew what it said, without even looking into it. Your father and mother went there. His father and mother, too. For years and years and years. And now, if you followed the rules set out in front of you, you too.
It was impossible not to wonder, when the fog of privilege would slowly cloud your brain. Would it be the law degree from a private school, or legacy admissions? The more frightening thing was that maybe Nat was right: it had already set in, and you unaware. You at least felt different than the rest of them. That made you different, right? You and Lottie?
The image of Nat seemed ever-prevalent. Glowering at you, like she had been in the doorway. In your shirt. With that frown. The frown that you wanted to kiss away, but would never be able to. A Scatorccio, of all people. Of all people, you had to be in love with the one person you couldn't have.
It felt simultaneously like life had resolved into something more clear and understandable, and something more depressing and doomed. You wanted to forget the realisation, and the acceptance as well. Maybe it was truly better when you were promising your friends that you felt nothing of the sort.
Your eyes flitted from where they stared at the ceiling over to the giant brown bookcase in the corner, stacked high with thick volumes of what your dad had once said were family records, but you had never grabbed one off yourself. The one that stuck out against the brown leather-bound books was a more sleek, grey memoir with your grandfather’s name printed onto the hard cover casing.
That one you had read— your father had made you read it, when you were fourteen, and your parents gave up on trying for another kid. It wasn’t as dreadfully boring as you thought it would be, but it was still a memoir about a stuffy stockbroker from the 80s, with all the parts involving cocaine conveniently edited out, but not your grandfather’s insane escapades with women.
Your father was in the process of writing his own edition, and had thereby implied that he expected you to write one for yourself. You didn't know what you could possibly write about, but then again there was the expectation you write about it anyway. You weren't a guy on Wall Street, you weren't an international businessperson. You didn't even know what you were going to school for, yet.
Next to the bookshelf in equal intimidation was a painting of your family that your father had commissioned years ago. It was back when you still had braces and acne, but thankfully the artist had removed both. You hadn't been allowed to smile for it, though that's what child-you thought you did for pictures. Instead, you and your parents' mouths were drawn into disapproving lines and hardened expressions, and the golden plaque at the bottom wore your surname in proud, powerful letters.
You sighed, sitting up onto the palms of your hands and then standing slowly, still a bit uncoordinated. You sent the painting a final glance before you wandered to the phone, grabbing the thing and checking your watch while you did it. You slumped down into the seat at the end of your dining room table, where your father usually sat, and pulled the antenna from the top, punching in the numbers absentmindedly as you stared out the window onto the garden and the pool.
The number was for your father's Monaco residence, and you waited with a jumping knee and wry expression while it rang. Eventually, though, your mother picked up. "Hello?"
"Hello, mother."
(Y/n), darling, is something wrong? You know to call Reginald first, in case of emer—"
"—No, nothing is wrong, mother. Look, I actually wanted to ask you a question."
"Well, go on then. We're about to go out to dinner."
"...Mother, do you have Julie Roosevelt's number?"
Silence on the end of the line. "Absolutely!" You didn't need to be there with her to hear the smile in her voice. "What for?"
You swallowed. "I think I'll try to take her out tonight."
"Well! Darling, that's just wonderful!" You nodded into the receiver, not like she could see it. "Make sure to wear your nice shirt, we don't want to upset the Roosevelts! I hope you know, I'm proud of you for this, really." You almost mentioned getting accepted into Princeton. Almost. But you decided not to mention it. It wasn't like you wanted to think about it anyways.
From the far wall, you could see the painting of the woman with the blue eyes staring at you.
===+++===
The local mini golf was always busy, but Saturdays were absolutely the busiest. There were couples upon couples who had the exact same idea, and were wandering around with their hands together and beaming at one another like they were living in a rom-com in the real life.
And yet you stood there with your hand in Julie Roosevelt's, and a massive frown on your face. It wasn't one that you'd let Julie see— every time she glanced in your direction, you'd quickly replace it with your best smile, showing her your teeth— but it was one that you knew you wore when she turned away.
"Sorry about the late notice," you said. You dropped her hand and went to grab a putter from the front, handing it to her and then grabbing one for yourself.
"It's okay, I was wondering if you were ever going to talk to me again," Julie laughed, a bit awkward. You winced. It's not like you could be honest, and say that you didn't intend to. The truth was, that while Julie was a bit shallow, she was also a bit too nice to deserve this one-sided thing.
Of course, there was the hope that you grew the love your mother spoke of. Maybe it would hit you, and alleviate you from Nat, who seemed to haunt your thoughts even more now, that you were aware she had captured your heart.
"I was just busy, this past week," you shrugged. "It's kind of a big deal for the Yellowjackets, and both of the teams are practicing and stuff...so."
"Wow. I guess you really like the Yellowjackets then, huh?"
"Uh...something like that, yeah. It's a big deal." She hummed, then took her things out onto the first green.
You let her go, standing behind her and watching with a grin and the scorecard in your pocket. Mini golf was something you took pride in being good at. But, then, of course, Julie let the ball drop, took a second, and gently hit the ball around the bend with a near perfect curve, and right into the hole.
"Yay!" she cheered, jumping up and down in celebration.
"Wha—"
Julie put her hands on her hips with a teasing grin. "Captain of the golf team, remember?" You hadn't.
"Right..."
You played a terrible game, for the most part. You stood at the end of the second-to-last hole with the scorecard in your hand and a whole bunch of big numbers on your side of the table. Julie was beaming from ear to ear, though you weren't exactly sure why.
It had been pretty much silent, with the two of you failing over and over again to find an interesting thing to talk about. It wasn't the calm, pleasant silence like it was with... well, it didn't matter now. You filled in a four, two shots over the par, and made your way over to where Julie was crouching down, to get a better view of the final hole.
"Actually wait, there's a special way you have to play this one," you called out to her, and she turned to you with a puzzled expression.
"What do you mean?"
"It's kind of local tradition here," you shrugged. You weren't even sure if that was true, you just knew that it was what Nat had called it, when she taught you. "You have to swing really, really hard, and to win, you've gotta get it over the fence," you pointed, "and right into the back of that neighbourhood."
She blinked at you for a moment, and then Julie frowned, looking down to the ground. "That's mean, though. What if you hit someone's house? Or a window?"
"Bonus points," you shrugged. "I don't know, you can't really see where they go, once they're over the fence. It's fun."
Julie raised her eyebrows. "Don't you think it's a little immature? Why would I do that if I'm going to win for real?"
You opened your mouth to reply, then firmly closed it. "I guess you're right," you mumbled. It hadn't felt stupid when you suggested it, but Julie's disdain at the suggestion made you feel improper.
She did win, by a massive landslide, and you let her keep the scorecard with little protest. She was still beaming though, brightly at you like she had just had the best date of her life. Your stomach felt like it was tied up in a bunch of knots, but you smiled back at her nonetheless.
If love was something to be worked towards, you really hoped it would start working soon.
===+++===
You had only been home for about twenty minutes, when your phone started ringing. Off the hook. Over and over again. You knew who it was just from the ring, but that didn't mean you wanted to pick up.
After the disaster that was dropping Julie off at her house, you wanted to continue to staring at the ceiling. But after the sixth call back, it seemed Jackie wasn't giving up.
You picked the phone up with a frown, rolling over and smushing your chin into the bed. "Hello—"
"—OH MY GOD, YOU AND JULIE?!"
You groaned. "Jackie I dropped her off like thirty minutes ago, how do you already know about this?"
"So it's true?! You're dating?"
You sat up. "What? No, we just went on one date."
"Really? Cause Julie told Margie who told Randy who told Jeff, who told me that you kissed her and you're going out!"
You pinched the bridge of your nose. "I didn't kiss her, she kissed me. And it wasn't even like an actual kiss, she like, pecked me, and then scrambled out of my car and up her driveway."
"Well, she's saying you're going steady."
"'Going steady?' The 40s called, they wanted their slang back."
"Ha ha," Jackie said back, and you could hear the eye roll. She went silent. "...I bet your mom is happy."
"Probably..."
"Are you happy? You're probably a shoe-in for prom court, especially since I'll be out of town. Your mom won't let you go to nationals, will she?"
"No. She'll want me and Julie to go to prom together."
"Well, I mean, at least you'll win, right? That's gotta be exciting?"
You looked over to your nightstand, where you had a polaroid of you and Nat that sat taped to the side. "Thrilled."
"(Y/n)? You okay, hubby?"
You took a sharp swallow. "Yeah, I'm fine. Julie's great."
"Right...," she paused again, "does Nat...does she know?"
"I don't think so... It's only been like, thirty minutes."
"She will soon, though. Monday."
"Yeah...I guess she will soon."
===+++===
Monday was terrible. It seemed Julie had taken the awkward attempt at kissing you as the sign that you were together. She was there at your car when you first arrived, grinning again while you and Lottie got your things for school out of the second row. Then, the moment you had locked your car, you were tugged along by a hand grabbing yours.
You didn't exactly have a good reason to be grossed out. Julie was beautiful, and if you had felt the same way for her, you would have been thrilled with the enthusiasm. Hell, if it were... well. So, you mostly let her drag you wherever she wanted.
There was about a week, to run for prom court. Your mother had promptly called you that morning to insist on prom, and insist on shopping for prom, when she returned home on Wednesday, from Monaco. It was all Julie would talk about, and you were starting to wonder how much of this was a political move for her too, rather than one of genuine interest in you.
You first saw Nat coming down one of the halls, and you hesitated a bit the moment you saw that she noticed you. Or, that she noticed you and Julie together. It was the walk of shame, frankly. You didn't belong to her, in any formal sense. But your heart did, and that was enough for it to hurt. Badly.
It seemed to hurt her too. She immediately frowned, tugging on Kevyn's sleeve and walking in the opposite direction. You wanted to run after her, but Julie had an iron grip on your hand and a smile so bright.
It was awkward enough at lunch, with Julie insisting to sit next to you and to bring her golf friends. A few of them were nice, and Jackie managed to chat them up well enough to make even more friends than before, but Lottie had a frown the entire time, and Shauna looked less than happy.
Nat wasn't staring at you at lunch anymore. It was a startling realisation, that you wanted her to be looking at you. If anything, you were looking more at her. You kept turning around, trying to seem like you were just scanning the cafeteria, but Nat was firmly looking down at her food, at the same table as always.
You felt like a runaway dog that had temporarily shrugged off its collar, trying to find home with a tail between its legs. Julie was nice, and smart, and talented. But she wasn't the one. Your one.
===+++===
"Hey, you ready?" you asked Lottie, finding her out in the hallway in front of the locker rooms. it was Friday, and you both had your soccer bags slung over your shoulder, and were about to head out to practice, but Lottie seemed transfixed on a poster on the wall. "Hey now, you've got nationals tomorrow, no distractions," you tried.
"Is she seriously trying to make it seem like you two are soulmates?" Lottie said with a grimace. It was one of the ones Julie had made in two days, and was now putting all over the school to really earn you both the win. There was a drawing of you and her on it, with a heart in the middle, and 'VOTE JULIE & (Y/N) FOR PROM COURT 1996.' It was an objectively good design, but Lottie didn't like Julie very much— or at least had started to hate her, the longer you and her were together.
"I think it's because she has a crush on you," Julie said once with a pout, after Lottie had been less than welcoming to her on a ride home.
"No she doesn't," you shook your head.
"She definitely does. You shouldn't hang out with her as much, or people will think you and her are a thing. I mean, I did at first."
The whole conversation had only made Lottie more and more annoyed with her, and that was saying a lot, with how Lottie was usually nice to most people.
"Come on," you said, gesturing with your head out towards the pitch. "Last practice before nationals."
Lottie still had a frown on her face, but she followed you out there with her arms crossed. It was still relatively early, only a few people were out. Coach Martinez's son Travis was up in the bleachers, watching, while you could see Trevor and Misty talking next to the water cooler and Jeremy and Mari passing a ball back and forth to each other.
"Hey (Y/n)," a voice called from behind you, and you could feel a similar annoyance to Lottie's washing over you. You turned to see Carter Avery, back from his suspension, with a cheeky smirk on his face. "Miss me?"
"Not even close," you scowled. He brushed past you and Lottie, pausing for a moment when he was directly in front of you staring down in an attempt at intimidation. He kept walking though, until he paused, right at the edge of the pitch.
"Oh, and (Y/n)?"
"What."
"I think I need to borrow some eggs. You got any for me?" Your eyes widened. "What about toilet paper, then?"
It was intended to create anger in you. You knew he wanted you to charge at him or something, or to scowl, but all you did was stand there, in a stunned silence. You had thought that Nat would do that. That Nat could do that to you. Of course it wasn't Nat. You felt stupid and you felt guilty, and you felt even worse that you couldn't do much about either of those things. You could try, though. And maybe that would be enough.
Lottie sent you a knowing look, but all you wanted to do was curl up into a ball and die. Maybe you could try to talk to her, after practice? It was a long shot, but it was worth a try.
The Yellowjackets' moods were infectious, and it was impossible to not have a great time, at that practice. Their emotions were high, along with their excitement, and you started to feel a little bit better, the more you ran and the more you felt the wind in your hair.
Of course, that's when everything decided to go wrong. A single slide tackle from Taissa, right into Allie's leg, and everyone was panicking and yelling. You could see the bone sticking out from it, and Misty was bolting in your direction, hovering over her and attempting to right it.
"Can I get two people to carry her?" She shouted at both teams, and you immediately raised your hand, stepping forwards while Allie began to cry. You didn't even see who was grabbing her other arm until you had made it into the locker room, and Allie was still crying with Misty following behind and a very clueless looking Coach Ben behind her.
You should've known, it was her. She was selfless like that, even though she'd rather die than admit it herself. And yet, there Nat was, on the other side of Allie, laying her down on one of the locker room benches and raising her leg up. Misty ushered you both out into the hall, and suddenly both you and Nat were regretting volunteering.
You had to wait until she came out, so you would be able to carry her to the front, where the ambulance could arrive to take her to hospital, but until then it just meant you and Nat were forced to stand there in awkward silence.
It stayed that way, until you tried to speak. "So...nationals, hu—"
"Don't even," Nat snapped, shutting you up. She was twitching a little bit, in discomfort, and you knew right now that if it were outside, or if she were to have her bag, she would be pulling out a cigarette.
"...I know it wasn't you who egged my house. It was Carter... I'm...sorry."
"Real genius, aren't you."
"Allegedly. Not in practice, apparently," you admitted, sliding to the tiled floor in wait. She eyed you cautiously, but did the same, sliding down.
"Man, if I had a nickel, for every time we've been in this hallway with a serious injury... I'd have, what, two nickels?" You hummed, leaning your head back against the wall.
"That's not a lot," Nat said, rolling her eyes.
"No," you nodded in agreement, "but it's weird that it happened twice."
She thought for a minute, then shrugged. "I guess." You both could hear the whistle being blown outside, to end the final scrimmage and indicate that it was time to circle up.
"Don't you want to go hear that? Y'know, for tomorrow?"
Nat shook her head. "I'd rather be here for Allie. Though she's kind of an asshole."
You snorted. "She's a total fucking bitch."
"...Just so you know, I really did have to leave, after Lottie's party... I, uh, kissed your forehead, before I left... I guess you couldn't feel it though. You were asleep."
You shook your head. "I didn't know that..."
"...Yeah... my dad was being an asshole... it was a whole thing." You knew it hurt more than she was saying, right now, and you so desperately wanted to scoot closer, like you would've before things had gotten so messed up. Back when you were on the cusp of happiness.
"I'm sorry, Nat."
She shrugged again, like it didn't hurt, but you knew all too well. "For what?"
You would've said for being scared. For being weak. For not realising sooner. Anything. But instead you were interrupted by the sound of shoes on the tile.
Of course, there Julie had to be. She took a single look at Nat who was covered in sweat and a bit red from practice, and grimaced, before coming up to you and standing right over you, expectantly.
"Is practice over?" she asked, checking her watch. "I finished my club meeting. We have to go dress shopping— I want you there to colour match— and I need you to drop Margie off at her house, cause I said you would yesterday."
You blinked. "I mean... It kind of is? I should probably stay a bit—" you looked to Nat to see what she would say, but she was already standing up and walking off, taking the not so secret hint that Julie was telling her to get lost.
Julie watched her go, scowling behind her back and then spinning to you the moment the door clicked shut behind her. "What did she want with you?" she asked.
"We were just talking, Allie needed help."
"Well she's no good. She's one of those kids, y'know." You narrowed your eyes, getting up to your feet and wiping your hands on your shorts.
"What are you talking about?"
Julie tilted her head to the side, like she was confused by your confusion. "You must not have a lot of them, around here, but we had them all OVER, in Massachusetts. The town bicycles. Everyone wants a ride, if you know what I mean."
It was your turn to cross your arms. "No the hell I do not, Julie."
"Oh come on," she said, throwing up her hands. "She's trailer trash, at best. The delusional kind who thinks we'd look at her, like, ever. I mean, what's her body count, like over a hundred?"
"You don't know what the fuck you're talking about," you snapped at her, glowering.
"Okay, I know she's on the Yellowjackets, and she's clearly trying to get in your pants, but cmon. I'm your girlfriend, we can laugh about this kind of—"
"No, the hell you aren't. You're not my girlfriend, Julie, and you barely ever fucking were. That girl you just insulted is the best fucking person I know. She's selfless, she's kind, she makes me laugh—"
"Well then go sleep with her then!" Julie yelled, stomping her foot.
"Y'know what, I already have! And I fucking love her. So there!" And you turned right around and stomped back out onto the pitch.
===+++===
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” you rolled your eyes, trudging down the stairs and calling out into the foyer. It wasn’t like whoever it was would actually be able to hear you, through the thickness of your door, if anything it was more to air your grievance with having to get up so fucking late. Your mom was once more distraught, now that you had kept the "perfect" girl for a single week and then promptly dumped her. Another vacation was in order.
Rain was still pounding on the roof from above, and it filled the emptiness of your house with a faint white noise, that was immediately shattered by the person pressing the button again. You rolled your eyes, deciding to walk even slower to the door out of nothing but spite.
When you actually opened the door, though, you had to blink a couple times, seeing a figure retreating already, down your drive. However long you had took had made them rethink why they were here, and you would've been all too happy to let the door close. That was, until you narrowed your eyes into the rain, just barely making out the shape of a familiar leather jacket.
"Nat?" You called into the storm, loud enough that there was no way she couldn't have heard you. You crossed your arms, thinking about how she had been earlier that day. "I know it's you, Natalie. Why the fuck are you here? You have nationals tomorrow."
She stopped in her tracks, just standing in it. She gently turned, shoulders rising and falling and it was clear she was breathing heavily. Her mascara was running in massive streaks down her face and dripping in small, grey droplets, and her eyes were sensitive and red, as if she had been crying and rubbed them raw. You swallowed what felt like a lump in your throat.
"This— all of this, with you— I— I can't," she stumbled, looking like a sad, wet dog in the rain.
"What?" you furrowed your eyebrows at her, walking out further onto your large, covered doorstep.
"I can't see you with her, (Y/n), I— I just can't."
"With Julie?"
Natalie threw up her arms in frustration. "Yes, Julie. I know she's perfect, or whatever, but— I— you can't be with her—"
"—Nat," you tried, stepping forward again.
"—Because I love you," she continued. You stopped in your tracks. It felt as if the air had been sucked right out of your lungs, even in the freshness brought by the storm. "I know we argue," her voice shook, "and I know we fight, and I know I smoke, and I curse, and I get bad grades, and my dad's a shithead, and I'm kind of an asshole sometimes— but I fucking love you, (Y/n). You.... I—"
"—Shut up," you said, shaking your head and rushing forward, out into the pouring storm. You collided with her, cupping her face in your cheeks and kissing her like the world would end in ten minutes. It would have, if you hadn't done it, and you had no idea how you had survived so long without doing it.
You kissed her once, and then you kissed her again, and then, when she was crying harder, and you were crying too, and she was holding onto your arms like you would fall away, you kissed her forehead, and held her tight in a hug.
"I'm selfish, and I'm a mess, and I'm never good enough for my stupid fucking parents," you said, over the rain and just for Nat, "and I don't realise that I hurt people 'cause that's not what my family does, and for that, I'm really, really fucking sorry."
She nodded in her tears, looking up at you as you both got rained on together. "But, I agree," you said, voice shaking, "we're not casual. I'm really, really fucking sorry, but I also really, really fucking love you, Nat. And I'm sorry I was too scared and too stupid, and," you raised your voice, as if to the sky, "I DON'T WANT TO FUCKING GO TO PRINCETON—" this time it was Nat who shut you up.
It was another kiss, but it was far more gentle than the first. It was a gentle press, and it took your breath away. When you pulled apart, you let your forehead fall against Natalie's. Even though the droplets were cold, you felt so warm.
After what felt like forever, but still wasn't long enough, Nat murmured to you, "should we go inside?" She still smelled like cigarettes and her perfume, just as she had in her trailer, and you intended to let the scent linger.
You shook your head. "Just stay out here a little longer with me. Please? Just let time pass."
She nodded, then smirked as she looked past you at the car on your driveway. "Fuckin' rich people."

Apropos of nothing
If you are the techiest person in the house (and for many of you, this is not techy at all), today is a good day to build a pihole thanks to Google's new TLDs.
For the record, this straight up stopped Dad from getting computer viruses when coupled with the Ublock browser extension, so I will volunteer my time to get you set up. We will find an evening and do a Zoom call. I am serious.
Prerequisities:
Before you start, this will be way way easier if your router has a magic way to:
Set static IP addresses
Set a custom DNS server
If you can't do this, I'm not saying you're stuck, but there's some non-obvious failure modes and maybe it's time to buy a better router.
Parts:
Raspberry Pi 4B. 2GB if you just want to set and forget, 8GB if you want to do more things on this than just your pihole (Coughs in a MarioKart box) -> https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-4-model-b/
Spare USB-C charger if you don't have one already. I'm a fan of https://www.amazon.com/Argon-USB-C-Power-Supply-Switch/dp/B0919CQKQ8/ myself
A microSD card at least UHS class 3 or better. 32 is fine for just a pihole, I have a 512 in some of mine that I use for more stuff. https://www.tomshardware.com/best-picks/raspberry-pi-microsd-cards
Some method of flashing the card if you don't have one (Some come with SD to micro-SD adapters, if not a USB to SD/micro-SD adapter is about $10 off Amazon)
If you really feel like going nuts, go buy yourself an Argon case and then very very carefully never ever install the software for the fan that does nothing. The value is entirely in having a big giant brick that is self-cooling. If you want to play MarioKart, I would consider this a requirement. https://www.amazon.com/Argon-Raspberry-Aluminum-Heatsink-Supports/dp/B07WP8WC3V
Setup:
Do yourself a favor and ignore all the signs telling you to go get Raspbian and instead go grab an ISO of Ubuntu 64-bit using RPi Imager. Because Raspbian cannot be upgraded across version WHY U DO THIS
Download Rpi Imager, plug the microSD card into your computer,
Other General Purpose OS -> Ubuntu -> Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
So now you have an operating system on an SD card.
Assemble the case if you bought one, plug in the SD card, power supply, ethernet cable if you have one or mouse and (mini) HDMI cable if you don't. If you bought that Argon case, you can just plug a keyboard (server OS means no mouse gang; In this house, we use the Command Line) and HDMI cable into the Pi. Turn it on.
Gaining access
The end state of this is that your pi is:
Connected to the internet by cable or wifi
You can SSH to it (Also not scary)
If you plugged in an ethernet cable, once it's done booting (1-2 minutes?), you should be able to ssh to "ubuntu@<the IP of the system>". Look it up in your router. It may make sense to give the static IP NOW to keep it stable.
If you've never used SSH before, I think the standard is Putty on Window or you can just open a terminal in Mac. (And if you know enough Linux to have a Linux computer, why are you reading this?)
If you didn't plug it in, and need to setup the wifi, there's magic incantations to attach it to the wifi and to be quite blunt, I forget what they are.
Your username is ubuntu, your password is ubuntu and then it will ask you to make a new password. If you know the meaning of the phrase "keypair-based access", it may make sense to run `ssh-copy-id` at this point in time.
Router settings (part 1)
Give your new Pi a static IP address, and reboot your pi (as simple as typing in `sudo reboot`).
Open a new SSH session to the pihole on the new address.
Installing pihole
Open up an SSH session and
curl -sSL https://install.pi-hole.net | bash
This is interactive. Answer the questions
When it's done, on your other computer, navigate to <the ip>/admin
Login with the password you just set. Router settings part 2
Give your new Pi a static IP address then point your router at that address
Set the DNS servers to the static IP
Then ensure you're blocking something. Anything.
Then do what you want to do. You'll probably need to whitelist some sites, blacklist some more, but the main thing is going to be "Adding more list of bad sites". Reddit has some lists.
And... enjoy.
/But seriously, there's some stuff to do for maintenance and things. I wasn't joking about the pair setup.

he didn't stand a chance.
bradley ‘rooster’ bradshaw x f!reader
summary: some weirdo keeps checking you out at the bar. you best friend seems like the perfect way to get him to leave you alone.
a/n: this one has been in my drafts for so long. totally forgot about it! i hope you like it!
~
The guy at the bar couldn't be more obvious in checking you out. You accidentally caught his eye when you walked in, scanning the room for Phoenix.
He's yet to come up to you, content on just making things weird from the way he watches you.
"Come on, let me say something to him," Phoenix presses, jonesing for a fight. You shrug her off, taking a sip of your cocktail.
He turns his attention toward Penny, and your shoulders relax.
Finally.
Before you can get comfortable, those eyes are back on you. He fixes you with a grin. A grin that suggests he's about to saunter over to you and start a conversation.
Panicking, you turn toward Rooster, your best friend. Your hot best friend. You take his Hawaiian shirt in your fist.
"Kiss me," you breathe.
His brows knit together. "What?"
Before his stupid mouth can mess up your plan, you yank his face down toward yours, capturing that stupid mouth. Rooster's surprise melts away as he takes your face in-between his hands. Deepening the kiss, one of Rooster's hands falls from your face. That hand finds a belt loop on your shorts, yanking you toward him. A gasp falls from your mouth at the feeling of your bottom half against his.
You pull back from him at Phoenix's cough. "Uhm. He's gone."
Rooster walks you backward until your back hits the pool table. Resting his forehead against yours, his breath strained.
His index finger lightly tilts your face up to him. You meet those gorgeous eyes and the realization of what happened hits you like a Mac Truck.
"What the fuck was that?" he murmurs.
"I've been dodging that guy at the bar all night," you explain.
"And instead of calling him out with one of your famous verbal beatings, you decide to attack me?" The corner of his mouth quirks up.
"I didn't attack you," you say. "You're the one who turned things almost borderline inappropriate."
He chuckles, his forehead still against yours. His eyes drop down to your mouth, and slowly come back up to your eyes. "I don't recall you stopping me."
"I needed to be sure that guy got the message."
"And what message is that?"
"That he didn't stand a chance."
masterlist.

Strange Fascination
Part two: The Shadow Under the Bed
part one
Stalker Mike x gn!reader
“And your dreams, Won't you say that in there I'm yours and keep you safe? Say you're mine. I'll always be there.” — Monster Under the Bed by Emily Mei
Warning: obsession/ stalking | mentions of over-usage (with sleeping pills but yk) | Breaking in readers house | masturbation | light toy usage | under the influence sex | penetration | unprotected sex | Mike praising reader and being a possessive fuck | soft!dom Mike | stealing readers underwear | No specific readers genitalia
Notes: I would recommend reading the first part, as it explains Mike’s obsession and stalking behavior, but in summary, After not seeing you to pick up your brother he panics and goes around the area where you live to see the reason of your absence. At night, he decides to break into your place.
Also idk if it’s obvious but Mike is too high and sleepy that he thinks he’s having a sex/wet dream but he isn’t. If you wanna skip to the smut part look for the “❥”
"Not feeling like going to school today, bud?" You asked gently, settling onto Gregory's bed. Placing your hand on his forehead, you winced at the heat radiating from his skin. Sickness was a rarity in your family, making it all the more frightening when it struck.
He shook his head weakly, a small cough escaping him. His pale face was marred with beads of sweat, his eyes brimming with pain, looking like a Victorian man on his deathbed.
…
Despite your brother's reluctance to eat, you managed to coax him into trying a few bites of his favorite meal - mac and cheese. The comforting aroma filled the room, mingling with the laughter from the TV as you played his favorite show, South Park.
You chose the most lighthearted episodes, hoping to distract him from his discomfort. The colorful animation flickered across the screen, punctuated by the show's signature humor. It wasn't much, but it was something.
"Can we get pizza later?" Gregory pleaded, those puppy dog eyes working their magic. You rolled your eyes. Sometimes, it was impossible not to cave in.
"You're pushing it," you responded, but even as you spoke, you knew you were losing the battle. His eyes held a pleading look, a silent promise that maybe, just maybe, he would start feeling better soon.
"Please," he begged, and there it was - that hint of vulnerability that got you every time. You exhale, relenting.
"Fine, for dinner, we can get pizza."
Gregory's face broke into a grin, the first genuine smile you'd seen today. Relief washed over you, knowing that you'd made him happy, even in this small way.
As you sat next to your brother, watching him slowly pick at his food, you couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy. You remembered how it felt to be sick, how even the simplest tasks seemed impossible. But you also remembered how comforting it was to have someone there for you, offering support and understanding.
So, you continued to sit with him, occasionally laughing at the absurdity unfolding on the screen. And as the hours passed, you hoped that your presence, along with the familiarity of his favorite things, would help him feel just a little bit better.
….
After tucking Gregory in, you wished him a good night, feeling a sense of happiness wash over you.
❥ Despite everything, tonight had been a relatively normal evening. Yet, as you settled into bed, your exhaustion refused to cooperate. Sleep evaded you, a cruel tease dancing just beyond reach.
Frustrated, you stood up, making your way to the medicine cabinet. Melatonin pills, their potential untapped. With a sigh, you popped a few, waiting impatiently for the promised drowsiness, To no avail.
Instead, you found yourself pouring a generous portion of liquid sleeping aid down your throat, mimicking the carefree college days of the past.
“This is ridiculous,” you thought, tossing and turning under your covers.
However, the combination of pills and syrup began to take effect, lulling you into slumber. But as the night wore on, you found yourself awake once more. Tired of fighting, you clicked on the lamp beside your bed, casting a warm glow across the room.
Walking to the window, you gazed upon the waning crescent moon hanging low in the sky. Something was comforting about its steady presence, a constant among the chaos of life. A yawn escaped you, and with it, a realization. Perhaps your sleeplessness stemmed from worry. Worrying about Gregory, about the future, about everything in between.
With a deep breath, you decided to address the root of your restlessness. Stepping out of your room, you headed towards the kitchen, determined to make yourself a calming cup of tea.
Once you returned, clutching the steaming cup of tea, you paused near the window. In your haste, the cup tilted slightly, spilling hot liquid onto your leg. A sharp yelp, almost a full-on scream escaped your lips, but you stifled it immediately, not wanting to disturb Gregory.
At the sudden scream, Mike’s panic gnawed at his insides, threatening to consume him whole. He had pushed his luck too far, he thought. Invading personal space without consideration. Now, he waited, trembling and exposed, anticipating the inevitable confrontation.
Hot tendrils of pain radiated from the spot, but you forced yourself to focus on your breath. Slow, deep inhales and exhales carried you through the discomfort, easing the sting. Soon enough, the heat subsided, leaving behind a dull ache.
When you achieved a semblance of peace, you pulled out your sage green journal. Flipping to a blank page. Chronicles of your day poured onto the paper, each sentence capturing the highs and lows of your day. It was therapeutic, a way to process the chaos of life.
And then, there it was - mention of Mike. Your words were casual, almost carefree. “I didn't get to see Mike today though, hopefully, I can tomorrow.” You mumbled just two sentences, but they carried weight. You remembered his name, and you wanted to see him again.
Underneath the bed, Mike's body stiffened. How had you retained his name after such brief encounters? The thought filled him with equal parts pride and embarrassment. You, who knew him so little, desired more interaction. This revelation shook him to his core, Was he just a stranger in your eyes, or did you hold a place for him in your heart?
"Mike, Mike, Mike." Your voice was soft, laced with a mix of exhaustion and longing. As you reached for the nightstand, your hands quivered with anticipation. Mike watched from his hiding place, his heart pounding in his chest.
The moment you pulled out your toy, his eyes widened in shock. This was not what he had expected but, as you began to use it, your body writhing with delight, he couldn't help but feel a strange sense of satisfaction.
The combination of drowsiness from the pills and syrup, along with the physical release, created a heady mixture of sensations. You moaned softly, your voice ringing through the room. Each sound was like a siren's call, drawing him closer to the edge of his sanity.
His adrenaline surged, his body tense with anticipation. As you repeated his name, his heart swelled with an emotion he couldn't quite name. It was a strange mix of pride, longing, and something else entirely - something dangerous.
He felt himself leaking precum, the mere sound of your voice driving him to the brink. Disbelief washed over him; you were thinking of him during your moments of intimacy. He was grateful - no, relieved - that he wasn't alone in this longing.
Without another thought, Mike unzipped his pants, lowering both trousers and boxers just enough to free his aching erection. Semi-naked to the cool night air, his need pulsed with every beat of his heart. Every whimper you uttered drew him closer, matching the rhythm with feverish intensity.
As if entranced, he stroked himself with fervor, mirroring your satisfaction. The air was thick with appetite, heavy with the scent of forbidden lust and connection. Your cries grew louder, almost like you were urging him on, and he responded in kind, matching your pace with increasing fervor.
The boundary between fantasy and reality danced a tantalizing waltz within him, as though the sleeping pills had crafted a mesmerizing dreamscape. His frenzied strokes built the tension to a fever pitch, and as his name echoed through the night, Mike emerged from his hiding spot. A predatory grin graced his lips, and ragged gasps betrayed the satisfaction coursing through him.
"Mike?!" you stammered, your eyes locked onto the object of your fantasies. The man standing before you proudly displayed his erection, taunting yet gratifying.
"My sweet, sweet angel," he murmured, his voice thick with desire as he closed the distance between you. "I knew you wanted me."
His fingertips danced delicately across your features, like an artist carefully sculpting his next piece. "You've been thinking of me, haven't you?" The question hung in the air, a declaration that shattered the façade of secrecy. No longer was he a stranger observing you; instead, you were two souls entangled in a passionate embrace.
"I've waited so long for this moment," Mike confessed, his breath warm against your skin. "To have you all to myself... to hear you call my name like that." Hunger glinted in his eyes, a testament to his craving.
With a sudden, possessive hold, Mike clutched your chin, demanding eye contact. "But now that I have it... I'll never let you go." His words carried a weighted promise, a tether connecting you both in a web of his obsession and yearning.
“Mike what are you—“ you began, but before you could utter another word, Mike silenced you with a gentle kiss, his lips firm yet tender. His tongue slipped past your parted lips, igniting a firestorm of sensations within you.
"Shh," he whispered, breaking away from the kiss just enough to speak. "No more questions. Tonight, we belong to each other, and nothing else matters."
His skilled hands traced every curve and contour of your body, exploring with a purposeful tenderness that left you breathless. "Tell me... do you know how long I've dreamed of this?" he asked, "To have you, all to myself, like this..."
Mike claimed his position above you, his throbbing length pressing insistently against your outer thigh. The mere touch sent ripples of desire coursing through him, and he started to slightly hump.
"You've consumed my every waking thought," Mike’s breath hitched, the weight of his obsession finally surfacing. As months of longing and secrecy culminated in this single moment, Mike's need became palpable. His breath hitched with each ragged exhale, proof of his pent-up desperation.
“I've waited for this, dreamt of this," he added, his voice low and husky.
For a moment, the outside world ceased to exist. You and Mike were entwined in a dance of eagerness and confusion, lost in the euphoria of the moment. The distinction between reality and fantasy didn't matter; it was irrelevant in the face of your connection.
Fixating on the silhouette of your body, he noticed your hand wrapped around the toy. Acting on instinct, Mike adjusted the device gently, synchronizing its rhythm with yours. His arousal surged at the sight, causing a low, guttural groan to escape him.
"You look so good like this, darling," Mike whispered, his warm breath dancing across your skin. "I've wanted this for so long... to touch you, to be with you..."
With delicate precision, Mike brushed your most sensitive spot with his thumb, earning a sharp gasp from you. "I know you feel it too..." he whispered, his words laced with raw truth.
The coolness from his hand traced up your thigh, causing your body to shiver involuntarily.
"Let me pleasure you, the way you deserve," Mike whispered, his fingers moving with slow, calculated strokes. He increased the pressure, his thumb tracing the throbbing between your legs. Drawing closer still, he left a trail of scorching kisses along your jawline, nipping gently at the delicate skin of your neck. His other hand explored your curves, mapping them with meticulous care.
"You're perfect... I want to worship every inch of you," he murmured, his breath hitching as your responses to his touch grew more pronounced.
"Tell me what you need," he urged, his gaze locked firmly on yours. "I'll give you anything you want, just say the word."
"Fuck me, please," you whined, the vibrating toy making it difficult to talk.
Mike's eyes flashed with raw hunger at your impassioned plea. Leaning in, his warm breath hit your skin, and a low, rumbling growl escaped his chest. "As you wish."
In a deliberate movement, he removed the toy from your trembling body. "I'll give you everything you crave."
With a grace born of fervor, Mike positioned himself between your quivering thighs. He gently lifted your legs, granting access to your awaiting entrance. The head of his cock pressed insistently against you, demanding entry.
Savoring the exquisite tension, Mike paused for a fleeting moment before burying himself deeply into you. A rough groan escaped him. The sensation was indescribable – a potent mix of pain and pleasure that stole your breath. His pace was both fierce and controlled, striking a delicate balance between his untamed passion and your comfort.
"I'm going to make you scream my name," he warned. A promise hung heavy in the air, fueling the flames of passion between you both.
Gripping your hips, his fingers bit into your skin as his pace quickened. In a display of brutal possession, he claimed your lips in a bruising kiss, swallowing your cries of ecstasy.
"You're mine," he proclaimed, the words laden with ownership. His eyes bore into yours, leaving no doubt about his claim.
you clutched his shirt desperately, searching for something solid amidst the tempest of sensations. "All yours," you whimpered, your body responding to his rhythm, yearning for more.
"All mine..." Mike answered possessively, digging his fingertips into your hips.
Driven by your need and his unquenchable thirst, he sinks into you with unbridled intensity. The sensation was a revelation - an exquisite fit, an intimate conquest. Your bodies merged, creating a symphony of gratification.
"You feel so good around me like you were fucking made just for me," Short of breath, his hips snapping forward in relentless pursuit of bliss. Each stroke brought him closer to the pinnacle, fueled by your mutual hunger.
"Oh god..." you cried out, clutching at him even tighter as the pleasure built within you.
Panting heavily, Mike's voice transformed into a guttural growl as he neared the precipice. "I'm going to fill you up, mark you as mine," he promised menacingly. Bending his head, he grazed your neck with his teeth in a primal claim of possession.
His grip on your hips tightened further, his fingers digging into your flesh as he thrust deeper inside you. "Take all of me, baby. Let me claim every part of you," he commanded, his eyes locked onto yours.
With each powerful thrust, both edging closer to orgasm, the tension coiling ever tighter. It was as though no other concerns existed – no consequences, no worries, only the two of them, entangled in a web of unrelenting carnal nature.
You cried, your nails raking down his back, clawing at his slick skin for stability. Your bodies moved as one, driven by an irresistible force that defied logic and reason. The scent of vigor filled the air, mingling with the sound of their labored breaths.
As the final moments stretched out before them, Mike's drive grew frantic, his eyes locked on yours in a hypnotic dance. Your cries grew louder, each one a plea for release, for the sweet relief that lay just beyond reach. And then, with a sudden jolt, you peaked, your body convulsing around him, a triumphant cry escaping your lips.
Mike's eyes widened as he felt your body twitch, his name echoing through the room. Unable to resist any longer, he followed suit, burying himself deep within you as he found his release. His world narrowed to the feel of you surrounding him, the sweet embrace of your warmth.
Yet, his need for you remained insatiable. Collapsing on top of you, he embraced you possessively, your bodies sliding against each other, chasing every tremor of your shared climax.
His movements were ragged and sloppy. "Mine... you're mine!" he whined and groaned your name against your lips, capturing you in a deep, fiery kiss. Overstimulation faded into the background, swallowed by the heady rush of their union.
This was a dream, wasn't it? A dream world where you belonged to him and him alone.
Huffing and puffing, Mike whispered, "I love you," his voice laced with genuine emotion. Nuzzling against your neck, he claimed your lips once more in a searing kiss, his words a confession born of obsession and desire. All those hours spent observing you, planning this moment... they were finally rewarded.
His heart beat wildly against your chest, matching the rhythm of yours. You both lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, lost in the afterglow of devoting love and possession.
…..
Mike woke up to the warm glow of sunlight filtering through an unfamiliar window. Confusion furrowed his brow as he shifted his body to the side, revealing your sleeping form next to him.
Panic welled up inside him, his mind racing to piece together the fragments of last night. Had everything that transpired between you truly happened, or was it all a dream fueled by his overuse of sleeping pills? Deciding there was no time to waste, He carefully extracted himself from the bed, moving with the silence of a thief. Gathering his belongings, he paused to steal one last, longing glance at your peaceful face.
In a sudden burst of impulse, he approached your dresser, quietly opening a drawer and snatching a pair of your underwear. A gleam lit his eyes as he slipped them into his pocket. Then, without another word, he climbed out the window and melted into the morning shadows.
As he disappeared from view, doubt lingered in the air. Was it real or merely a product of his overactive imagination? Regardless, the daylight served as a harsh reminder of the risk he had taken, the line he had crossed.
Your eyes fluttered open at the sound of the window closing. A coy smile spread across your lips as you watched Mike's retreating form, amusement twinkling in your eyes.
"So predictable, my dear Mike..." you murmured to yourself.
You knew full well that he was oblivious to the security camera discreetly positioned just outside. The unlocked window - an open invitation he simply couldn't resist - had been your doing. And, as expected, he had fallen right into your trap.
Shifting onto your side, you let your fingers trail across the rumpled sheets, still warm from his embrace. A contented sigh escaped you as you nestled back into the pillows. You reveled in the knowledge that Mike was utterly ensnared in your web. And with a devious glint in your eye, you vowed to keep him there, anticipating your next encounter with eager delight.
After all, you had no intention of letting him go.
Thank you so much for reading! should I make a part 3?

In the last few weeks, you and Yelena have become closer to each other. You spent a lot of time together and your crush on her grew because of that. She often visited you at the compound or you drove to her apartment. Spending time together also distracted you from worrying about Natasha and Bucky since they were both on a long and difficult mission. Even though you knew you didn’t have to worry about Bucky, you couldn’t help it because he’s your best friend. And Natasha is also one of the best assassins out there, probably even the best, but since Yelena is her sister, she can’t help it either.
So, for the past few weeks you’ve been watching movies or TV shows, visiting some places in New York that Yelena hasn’t seen yet and wanted to see, and when you found out that Yelena can only cook mac and cheese, you had to change that and asked if she would like to cook something with you. You had a lot of fun and Yelena started to really enjoy cooking with you. Yelena and you also really enjoyed being outside at night and watching the stars. Sometimes Yelena would fall asleep almost cuddling with you and resting her head on your chest. This also happened when you had movie nights together, and you loved when that happened.
You love hanging out with Yelena. You love everything about it. Her silly jokes, her sarcastic comments, her laughter, sitting close to each other and having a deep conversation late into the night.
The other Avengers who weren’t on a mission all noticed how close you were. Wanda always smiling at you both and Clint was also very happy that you were having fun together.
You were currently sitting on the couch in the living room at the compound and were discussing what you wanted to watch this time.
“So, what do you want to watch?” You asked as you opened Netflix.
“What would you suggest?” She asked shyly and you smiled at her.
“Hmm, let me think.” You said, looking at your movie watchlist you had on Netflix.
“What about this one? It’s called ‘Little Women’, and I really liked it the first time I saw it.”
“Okay, let’s watch that.” She said and you started to giggle.
“What?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Maybe you should know that there is an actress in this movie who looks a lot like you.”
“Is that why you like this movie?” Yelena said, starting to blush.
“Maybe” You teased.
“Okay...umm, let’s just watch the movie.” Yelena said quietly and you started the movie.
After a while you sat very close to each other, and rested your head on her shoulder while you watched the movie. You were so distracted by the movie that you didn’t even hear the Quinjet land at the compound. You didn’t even notice the elevator door opening behind you.
“Hey you two.” You suddenly heard Natasha say. You both quickly moved away from each other and turned around. You started to smile when you saw Bucky standing there. You got up from the couch and ran to Bucky.
“I’m so glad you’re back safely.”
“I missed you.” Bucky said and wrapped his arms around you. As you hugged him, you heard Yelena walk towards Natasha.
“You’re back sestra! “Yelena said and hugged Natasha.
You decided to let them take a shower, while you finished the movie. After you all had dinner together, Bucky and Natsha told the others about the successful mission. Then Steve suggested to watch a movie. After the movie ended, you went to your room. You had only been there a few minutes when you heard a knock on your door.
“Come in.” You said and Bucky opened the door.
“Hey.” He said with a smile.
“Hey, Buck.” You said, walking up to him with a smile.
“I thought I’d come to you to hear what I missed while I was away.”
“Sure, come on, let’s sit down.” You said and walked over to your bed. Bucky sat down next to you, and you smiled at him.
“So, what do you want to know?”
“Isn’t there something you want to tell me?”
“I don’t know what you mean, Buck?” You said and Bucky chuckled.
“When were you going to tell me that you and Yelena are finally a couple?” Bucky said and you were confused now.
“What no me and Yelena are just friends.”
“You’re kidding right?” Bucky said and you just shook your head, not knowing what to say.
“Yelena looks at you like you’re her entire world.”
“What?” You said nervously.
“It’s so obvious that Yelena likes you too. The way she looks at you tells everything.”
“Are you sure, Buck?”
“Definitely.” You smiled and started telling Bucky everything he missed and how you and Yelena became so close.
“Please promise me that you will tell Yelena about your feelings for her.”
“Okay, I promise, but I don’t know how.”
“Just tell her how you feel and what she means to you.”
“Thanks, Buck. You’re the best.” Bucky started to smile and pulled you closer with his metal arm. You talked for a few more minutes when Bucky decided to look for Steve.
Three days have passed since Bucky and Natasha returned from the mission. You were watching a movie with Bucky, Steve, Natasha, Wanda and Yelena. After the movie ended you talked for a few more minutes until Bucky suddenly said.
“I think I’m heading to my room, I’m already tired.” He said and looked at Steve.
“Yeah, me too.”
“Okay, goodnight, Grandpas.” Natasha said, making the others laugh while Bucky and Steve looked at her annoyed. Before Bucky left the room, he winked at you. Natasha and Wanda stayed for a few minutes and then decided to leave as well. So, now you were alone with Yelena.
“Do you want to watch something?” She asked and you nodded, but then had to think about what Bucky had said. Now was the opportunity to tell Yelena.
“Well, actually there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you for a while.”
“Of course, go for it.” She said but sounded a little nervous.
“Well, how do I start…” You took a deep breath and Yelena smiled softly at you.
“Yelena, I like you a lot and not just as a friend. My day always gets better when I see you…you mean so much to me.”
“Oh, Y/n, I can’t believe you’re saying that because I feel the same way about you.” She said, making you smile.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I was just too shy to tell you and wasn’t sure if you feel the same way, especially because of my past.” Yelena said, looking away for a second, but then back at you.
“Hey, I know you’ve been through a lot and that doesn’t change anything. I love you for who you are.”
“Thank you for saying that, it means so much to me.”
“So, what are we doing on our first date?” You asked and her smile started to grow, and she spoke, “I think I already have an idea.”
You were so glad that Yelena feels the same way and you can’t wait to see what idea she has for your first date.

'my favorite part'
calum hood x fem!famous!reader
summary: you and Calum can't help but love each other on a night out.
warnings: use of alcohol and cigarettes, mentions of weed. (if i let something out let me know!)
word count: 1.4k
note: wrote this after listening to my favorite part by mac miller. this is also the first time i write something. please let me know what you guys think about this and if i should keep writing!! i hope you guys like it!! (English is not my first language so there may be some grammatical errors, sorry!)
The bar was full of people and good music, managing to create a unique atmosphere. You were all in the VIP sector of the place. The 5sos boys and some of them with their girlfriends. One of them was Calum, who had you under his arm in a comforting and firm way.
You raised your head slightly after letting out a big laugh at one of Ashton's jokes. You admired your boyfriend and sighed, unable to believe how much fun you were having. He looked so good, his hair was now longer, after having made the decision to no longer have those blonde highlights, leading to a beautiful and perfect length that let you admire his curls in a way you had never seen before. He had new tattoos and just the whole aura about him had become different, he wasn't a teenager anymore and he definitely didn't look like one. It was obvious that you were really enjoying this stage of him.
You briefly remember the day you met him. Both were on a red carpet at the Music Awards. You had recently released your last album and it was being a complete success. When you met Calum things were different. Your last relationship had ended a short time ago and you didn't really have in mind meeting someone new, you just wanted time where you could focus on yourself, your music and your friends, something you had been neglecting lately. However, meeting the band was something that gave your world a 360° turn. Instantly you all connected and became friends, it was inevitable. They had that incredible Australian charm in their blood that was impossible to resist, not that you're complaining either.
After that night on the red carpet, you hadn't seen the boys again. There were tours in between, which kept you two apart for six months. It's not like you guys kept in touch, you just hit it off one night and became instant friends, but that was it. Or so you thought. After what seemed like an eternity, you met again at the party of some famous person that you can't remember now.
After much back and forth for about a year and a half, you and Calum finally started dating. It was a surprise for you guys, seriously. Calum didn't really think about falling in love again after many broken hearts, he was at that stage where he hated relationships and would rather have casual encounters than have to be vulnerable with someone again. That's why he was so surprised after realizing that he had feelings for you. In this time you had gotten to know each other and the rest of the boys, becoming a constant in their lives.
And here he was, all head over heels for this girl, he couldn't believe it.
But he was so, so happy. Every time he thought about it he just couldn't help but feel this burning feeling inside of him, and he loved the burning, he never loved something so much. And he was glad he finally let these walls he built around him fall. Calum was scared, completely scared. He was so afraid of breaking apart again, he didn't think he could bare another heart break, it would kill him. Especially this one. But after a while, he realized this was the right choice. You were the right one.
And that brings us to today, 5sos had just released their new album, Youngblood. Now everyone was in this bar for a celebration and they really were having one of the nights of their lives. You had drunk a little and so did Calum, which now was making you feel a bit tipsy, but nothing too over the edge. Some of the other guys were already pretty wasted and it was almost 3 am.
You and Calum had dedicated yourselves to making your relationship of almost a year very private, leaving only what had to be known, that you were together.
And you were happy with that, you were really glad that you could have something in your life to just yourself. Your and the guys life was sometimes way too public and you didn't like it at all. So, having your relationship under your control was something incredibly refreshing. You loved Calum and you would protect what you guys have against everything. He was your favorite part of the day and you wouldn't let someone take that away.
Suddenly, you heard the song changing in the background. You smiled at what it got to your ears. 'My Favorite Part' by Mac Miller and Ariana grande was playing right now, and you couldn't believe the timing.
You smiled softly at the feeling. This song has been your favourite since it dropped, loving the way it captured what falling in love the right way was, something that was slow and very nice, without the need to be rushed. The same way it felt for you to fall in love with Calum. He was just so right. The nostalgia of the song came to your mind.
"This life can be so hard, I'd rather talk about you..." You whispered the words of the song in Calum's ear and looked at him with a vague smile due to the alcohol but at the same time with one that looked so in love, you hung a little from his neck with your arms in order that only he can hear you. Calum smiled and lowered his head to the ground as he tried not to blush. For some reason, you always had that effect on him. He had a cigarette and a glass with a drink in the same hand, while his other hand had been on your waist since the night began.
"You just don't know how beautiful you are..." You kept singing in his ear softly. "And baby that's my favorite part..." He looked at you and you had a wild smirk on your face. Calum really doesn't realize the effect on people (especially on you) that he had, he didn't understand how gorgeous he was. He looked at you while raising both of his eyebrows, giving you the 'oh, really?' teasing face that he makes way too often. You nodded at his questioned face with the most confident smirk.
The cigarette and weed smoke in the air made it all make even more sense. Calum smiled at you, he was so in love that was honestly so breathtaking. He sometimes had to gasp for air whenever he was with you. And he loved it, he loved the fact you were his oxygen.
You guys kept singing the lyrics to each other. Calum took a drag on his cigarette and blew the smoke out of his mouth between the two of you, practically in your face. It was something that for some reason you enjoyed too much. You found it hot and you were not ashamed of it.
Once the song came to an end you smiled at each other and he put his hand on your jaw then leaned in and planted a kiss on your lips. A hot but calm kiss at the same time, which was the vibe of that moment. You felt his rings when he lowered his hand to your neck, you guys separated for a second and you admired the tattoos on his arm, loving each one of them and then breathed his cologne. God, you were feeling good.
The night continued for you two, always in that comforting and good vibe. You kept smiling at each other all night and really couldn't keep your hands off each other, always in need of contact.
Who could have told you that the next day, all of Twitter was going to be crazy about a video that someone had taken of you at the bar from last night. That video contained the exact moment you and Calum were singing to each other and then kissing at the end. The song sounds very clear in the background, making it a whole scene. At first it bothered you, but after watching the video, you really couldn't find a reason to be angry anymore. You two looked so good and it showed how wrapped around each other's fingers you were. You loved the look Calum had and also loved the stupid smile on your face. It was honestly a masterpiece.

dedicated to @nashikahan for suggesting the idea ❤️
relationships are important of course, no matter if it's a friendship or romantic or work-related or otherwise, but one of the greatest and most important types of love is the love we receive from ourselves.
i've said this before (a very long time ago), but in general, when most people are interested in tarot, they tend to ask about and lean towards content that speaks about the future (ex. future spouse, next 5 years, next career endeavor, etc), but i’ve realized that falling into that trap of future readings can be harmful if it’s all one ever thinks about.
thinking about the future is great of course, and it’s fun and sometimes comforting to think about the future and what successes and highs one might claim, but too much focus on the future makes it hard for one to focus on the present.
you can’t ever reach that future if you’re so wrapped in the fantasy of it that you forget to bring yourself to the present and work on whatever is needed in order to get there.
therefore, this PAC is not about the future. it's about the now. it's about what you need to hear right now in order to find comfort and love for yourself the way you need it.
the piles go from top left to right. so, "you are exactly where you are meant to be" is pile i, "be kind to your mind" is pile ii, and so on and so forth.
take the time to close your eyes, breathe, and meditate on the PAC prompt, then open your eyes and let your guides lead you to the pile for you.
i hope you enjoy and learn to love yourself the way you deserve to be loved 💖
(TW: slight s*icidal mention in pile vi)

i think this is my creative pile :)
life is always moving and as hard as it is for you to be okay with it you always find a way to get on the right footing despite there seemingly not being a reason to.
are you a dancer? or at least, do you wanna be? if so, don't deny yourself that art form. i can tell you pour your heart and soul into it. i think it's where you tell the story of your pain. please, continue to use it to continue to be the strong person you are.
you're a fighter and a creative. i don't know a better combo than that to be honest. i don't think you hear this often enough, or you doubt people when you do hear it -- your art form is enough. as a matter of fact, it's more than enough. it's exactly what's needed for the Earth right now and for years to come.
the card i pulled literally says, "SHARE YOUR VOICE" in all caps like that and everything. your mind, your voice, your creativity, your dance, your art is valid. even if self-critique is necessary, also remember that you've come a long way from your very first piece to right now.
the other card i pulled says, "YOUR LIFE IS A CANVAS". continue to use it as such. continue to foster your art. it's beautiful. every ounce of love you put into it can be seen. it's so obvious that art (in whatever form) is of and in you.
love it.
especially your own.
love your own work.
(i promise that it's good enough).

know that you have a reason to be cocky!
i can tell that you're a hard-worker. every action you take is calculated and in an effort to reach the "promised land" of what you want. what you've always dreamed of. although recently (and maybe just in general) you may feel as if this uphill climb feels harder than ever.
the card i pulled says, "it's happening for you. not to you". i think those words may be of help to you right now. sometimes you may feel like God has put you up against these seemingly unwinable battles, but they are winnable. you're the one that can win them.
although you put in the work and action behind all of your wants, i think you mainly need to hear that you're not alone. you are being supported.
more than anything, i think you need to focus on healing yourself before going any further. specifically, go outside. breathe in the cold air and let it hurt your lungs. let the humidity frizz out your hair. listen to the waves as the crash violently or splash little by little.
i think you already know that you're strong, but also know that it's okay to rest.
it's necessary to rest.
please, allow yourself to do so.

Reading:
there's a calling for you to do something, and you're avoiding it.
now babe.. you know better than to do that!
you feel like logic isn't aligning for you to be able to do it, or you doubt your own abilities, don't you? yeah.. you gotta stop doing that like immediately.
that dream or urge you have that feels so integral to your person and so primal to you in terms of needs is something you can totally achieve, but you have to believe in yourself. pay homage to yourself.
you are unique and honestly, your alignment is not of this world. that's why it feels as if the logic is off because they logic you've been conditioned to follow is not the one you should be following.
listen to yourself. listen to your body. trust that you will end up at the right ending because you're the one who knows how to best lead yourself. the cards i pulled say, "trust where you're led" and "surrender to the alchemy of life". i think that's important for you.
the most important thing i can say is that you control your destiny, and know that there's a path for you that so beautifully laid out, and you naturally lead yourself there.
you are worthy of your own trust.
you know exactly what you're doing -- even if it doesn't feel like it.

"I'm The One" by Ateez
Reading:
you allow people to walk over you too much :(
is it because you don't think you're good enough? do you think you're not worthy of respect? YOU ARE!
maybe you don't fit society's standard of things. education, beauty, intelligence, material posessions? to be honest, it doesn't matter because you are so much more than that. who you are inside and who you try to be is so much more valuable than any of society's standards.
you don't have to take on everyone's burdens in order to be of use. you don't have to break your own boundaries and beat yourself down in order to receive basic respect.
your unique knowledge -- your unconventional knowledge- is so special to you! it's such a unique trait that gives you a different way of thinking and experiencing than others. use these differences to uplift yourself!
so what you're different? so what you don't blend in with everyone else? THAT'S THE ENTIRE POINT OF BEING UNIQUE AND BEING DIFFERENT!
fitting society's standards isn't helpful to yourself or the collective.
embrace your differences. they are valuable.

the people who chose this pile are changing! transtitions and transformations are in progress or on the way, and you feel unprepared for them. that's okay!
you keep holding on to old habits and old ways of thinking, but you need to trust yourself and the universe. the card i pulled literally says, "YES. just say yes". the other one says, "you go first. the universe will catch you".
your old ways of thinking and being don't work anymore because they're too mundane. your ability and your intrinsic nature is so much broader! so much bigger!
your personality and energy is so intoxicating to others. i wish you could see yourself through outsiders eyes. if you felt drawn to pile ii, then go ahead and read it. i think the message there also applies to you.
know that you are so much bigger than the little problems and intrusive thoughts that hold you back. for every pessimistic thought that goes through, write down a positive one.
also, learn to praise yourself. you deserve praise.
you are doing well.

i think you're tired, just like the photo says.
you may feel like you don't wanna be here anymore. not even in a s*icidal way, but more so in a wanting to be away from your environment -- from Earth -- just for a little bit if it were possible.
the people who chose this pile a very likely starseeds. you miss home. you miss being around likeminded people, and more than anything you miss feeling as if you belonged.
you have so much love you want to give to others, but it's like people don't want it. like they follow the saying of "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink it".
i think you may be tired of hearing this, but you are here for a reason. more than anything you just want the backpack of rocks that lies on your shoulder to be lightened -- even if just by one stone. you're tired of hearing that you're strong and that you can handle it because if you feel that backpack get loaded with one more stone, then you;ll explode.
you don't have to be strong all the time.
it's okay to cry.
please cry.
you are human too.
you have emotions too.
it's valid and okay to feel them.

And What If I Think Of You As Family Now?
SPOILERS FOR LEGO MONKIE KID SEASON 4.
In which MK is very lost while contemplating his new form and Macaque tries his best to actually comfort him for once.
This is just a little fic I wrote because I REALLY wanted to explore Monkey MK and what the revelations may mean for MK and Macaque moving forward. I like the idea Mac becomes a very reluctant uncle/big brother figure to MK on accident.
AO3 LINK!
MK poked at his face.
Poked again.
The soft pinkish orange mask that framed his eyes did not come off on his fingers.
He reached his hands over to the side. Pulled on the side burns that now framed his face.
Yeah. Yeah, they were still there.
He pulled the sleeve of his jacket up, looking at the fur that he saw glitch onto his arm multiple times.
It was still there.
"I… think it may be permanent, kiddo," Macaque said behind him. "... color's good on you?"
"What?" MK looked back, staring at the immortal standing behind him in the doorway to the bathroom in confusion.
"Your, uh, your face mark," Macaque continued. It was so obvious to MK that he was feeling as uncertain and awkward as the Monkie Kid was. A far cry from the usual snarky and assured dramatic and theatrical man that MK was used to. "Looks. Good, with your... fur and all that."
MK nodded slowly, turning back to the bathroom mirror to stare at himself again.
He almost couldn't believe he was looking at himself. But it was him. His face was staring back at him. It just.. had a few extra features.
A few... monkey demon features.
This was the first time he had been able to actually get a good look at himself since the... what was it that happened in the scroll? Glitching? Glamour glitching, that's what he thought Macaque called it. He had a glamour on.
He'd... always had a glamour on and he never knew it. Pigsy never knew it. Macaque never knew it. Sun Wukong...
No one knew. No one knew until the ink demon curse had done something to make it crack. Macaque called it an embedded mental glamour, something someone else had to have put on MK since he was born given the strength. Someone had done that to him without him knowing for his entire life.
Someone who no one knew.
Correction. Given his encounter with a certain ancient teacher, MK was pretty damn sure there was ONE person who at least had a guess. But would he actually be forthcoming with the information? Probably not.
The only thing anyone seemed to be forthcoming with lately were their own opinions.
He tried not to think about the fight they were all in only a few hours ago. How Yellowtusk and Peng had come to capture them on orders of the Azure Emperor. Of course Azure Lion would have started to call himself that, when MK looked back on the situation he could see how self-important the man who may have once been his Sworn Uncle thought of himself. That was probably why he sent his Sworn Brothers down to capture them instead of capturing the group himself.
More important things for the new emperor to handle.
He tried not to think about how Yellowtusk made him question who he was and where he came from, tried no to think about how the elephant had questioned where his fur and tail had gone since their last encounter. Yellowtusk, however, hadn't been the problem. He was more muscle then banter, only hitting where it hurt at just the right moment when pointing out how MK's "true form" could have been an asset logically in battle and questioning why he would refuse to use it.
It was Peng that caused his current predicament.
"I know why you're not using it," they had said with the sneer they wore when they hurt his friends in their first meeting. "You don't want us to think of, what? Your mentor? Brother? Your father?"
MK has screamed that Sun Wukong was not, in fact, his father.
And then.
"Does it really matter? It doesn't change the fact we know what you are. Just like him? You're a MONSTER."
MK didn't know exactly what happened after that. Just that... he changed. The same glitching happened and he felt something shatter and then he just.
Couldn't change back.
At least Yellowtusk and Peng had retreated, so afraid of the burst of power that the shattering of his glamour had let out. MK couldn't help it, it had burst out of him unbidden and sent everyone flying away.
He still felt bad for Nezha, who was standing closest to him outside Peng. But, unlike the bird, he had someone to catch him as he went flying back (MK felt he needed to thank Sandy for being a literal wall of a man). Peng had to be picked up Yellowtusk as he ran, nearly knocked unconscious by being sent into a nearby wall.
The worst part about all of this was that the thing they were trying to get, the artifact they were sure might be the thing to fix the slab... hadn't even worked in the end.
A waste of time that only earned MK more questions and a form he did not feel comfortable in.
He traced the marking around his eyes, noting that the color was… very similar to Sun Wukong’s own…
... Master Subohdi had said he was born of Sun Wukong's rock, but not in the same way... could Peng have been right about them being related in some way?
"Macaque?" MK asked softly. "Is this… who I am? Is this who I really am? Was the other me just… fake?"
"Kiddo, you…" Macaque said with a sigh. "I wasn't ready for an existential crisis, mother of f-"
"Was Peng right?" MK continued. "Am I a monster?"
"NO," Macaque countered instantly. "Bird brain can stuff it, they have no idea what they're talking about. You're MK. Always have been, always will be."
"I only have that nickname because Tang thought it was cute when I would get excited about the Monkey King," MK said with a half-hearted laugh. "That isn't even the name Pigsy gave me."
"Doesn't have to be your given name," Macaque said with a shrug. "You chose it out of all the ones given to you, that means you are MK. Simple as that."
"I guess," MK muttered. He reached up, scratching at his side burns.
They felt so odd against his cheeks. He'd never liked having longer hair for some reason, the feeling of it on his neck and face uncomfortable for him. That was why he kept his hair shorter, pulled up with his headband and the hair gel Tang had introduced him to.
He winched as some kind of chirp came out of his mouth in response to his scratching.
It was only a few months ago that MK had been trying to mimic the chirping of the monkeys on Mount Huaguo. He would have been ecstatic if that sound came out of his mouth then. If he had discovered this form at another moment, long before this.
MK didn't realize he started crying until he looked back up and saw a few tears rolling down his face.
"I… come here, sit on the floor," Macaque said softly, suddenly. He waved his hand, gesturing for the other to follow him.
MK looked at him wearily, unsure of how willing he was to move from his spot in front of the mirror. But eventually he gave in, turning away and leaving the bathroom.
The other sat on the couch, tail thumping on the couch beside him as he gestured to the floor in front of him.
"Back to me, sit however you like."
"Uh... o-ok..." MK said softly in confusion.
He sat down as instructed, his legs crossed comfortably. His tail didn't seem to know exactly where to go, and he didn't blame it, swishing and thumping against the floor in agitation.
"If you get uncomfortable you need to let me know," Macaque said.
MK didn't get the chance to ask him what he meant before the older monkey demon's hands were on his head.
No.
In his hair.
It only took a few seconds for MK to realize what the other was attempting to do, the motions and the way he carefully picked and parted his hair all too familiar. It was something that Sun Wukong had done to him multiple times when he and MK had thought he was just a normal human.
MK's tail slowed down in it's thumping, instead slowing down to swish at his side calmly. He thought he might want to do something about that in the future, the idea of his tail giving so much of his inner emotions away in battle making him concerned. Besides, he would need to learn how to use it properly to grab things and the like anyway.
They sat there for a while, Macaque grooming through his hair and picking out all the dirt and knots leftover from their battle earlier in the day while MK just. Let him. It was odd to remember that Macaque had once been one of his first major enemies. He manipulated MK to steal his powers (though, as explained in a long conversation later, that was not his original plan). He tormented his friends in the shadow play (though he refused to explain why he really let them all go in the end). He'd worked with the Lady Bone Demon (the fact he actually had no choice and was desperately trying to escape her hold on him was picked up by everyone once they thought about the ritual and his actions during it, though Mei's continued distrust of him after that was still validated by everyone whenever she questioned why he was helping them now... even by Macaque, actually).
But now they sat there in Sun Wukong's living room. Where Macaque had just recently had him play a game in his own weird attempt to give him a life lesson. One on the couch and one on the floor.
One would think they had been friends much longer with his comfortable MK was becoming as the hands worked through his hair and removed his headband. He didn't bother to stop the other, not when he felt how carefully he removed it and watched how he carefully folded it on the couch next to him.
"I'm sorry you couldn't have your first proper social grooming session with…" Macaque trailed off, hands stuttering in their movement for just a moment before picking up where they left off.
"It's ok," MK said with a chuckle. "Monkey King did this so much before we found out about all… this that it probably wouldn't feel any different."
"And this does?" Macaque asked tentatively.
"Yeah," MK said with a slight nod. "Like… like I have 2 different brothers doing i-OW! Macaque, what the hell!?"
"Sorry!" The word was said too fast, too loud, foreign in the darker haired monkey's voice. "... I just… didn't expect… I have no idea why you've been so chill with me out of everyone, MK, then you pull out the family comparing card? Brother, really?"
"Would uncle be better?" MK offered smoothly. "Weird estranged uncle that shows up at family reunions."
"THAT'S NOT THE- the point, kiddo…" Macaque trailed off, sighing as he went back to his work.
MK smiled at the lone monkey that always hung around him or Macaque always climbed into his lap, curling up and going to sleep. MK felt his hands itch to groom through his fur, instincts catching up to him. But he didn't want to disturb the little one or do something wrong in accident...
He saw Macaque's tail come around to tap him on the shoulder.
"We'll get him back," Macaque said firmly.
"How do you know?" MK asked.
"He's Sun Wukong," Macaque chuckled, gesturing to the cottage they resided in. "He's gotten himself out of worse than this, that means we can get him back. Besides, would Peng and Yellowtusk have been sent after us if we DIDN'T possibly get close to something Azure thought would work?"
"Maybe," MK admitted with a nod. He looked down, realizing his fingers had started running through the fur on Macaque’s tail as he looked for knots or bugs without even thinking about it. "...thanks for trying to make me feel better."
"Don't think too much about it," Macaque said as he finished his grooming through his hair. "Jeez, MK, how much product do you use in your hair? My hands feel gross."
"I'm sorry for wanting to look COOL," MK countered with a haughty chuckle. "Besides, I picked it up from my... dad."
"Tang?" Macaque inquired.
"Yeah," MK confirmed with a hum. "Feels weird to call him dad and not Mr. Tang. Pigsy and I never really called each other father and son openly until now."
"Things change, kid," Macaque said with a chuckle as he stood up. He made a pointed effort to keep his hands airborne and far away from his clothes.
"Does this mean I should call you Uncle Mac?" MK asked as he stood as well, gently placing the sleeping monkey on the couch. "Or something else?"
"Absolutely neither," Macaque said, his tone light with a chuckle under it. "I'm just Macaque, your not so friendly neighborhood shadow demon. Now I'm gonna wash my hands and get something to eat, I'm starving. You want me to grab you anything before your friends get in here?"
"Pigsy's making us food, you know," MK said with a raise of his brow.
"... he's making you food," Macaque said with a confused tone.
"Us," MK corrected. "You're part of the group, you know."
"... oh," Macaque said in a tone MK didn't know how to place. He had a far off look on his face for a moment, not looking at MK despite looking in his direction, before his eyes widened in some form of surprise. "Uh. Still washing my hands, BYE."
Mk didn't even have the chance to yell out a "wait" before Macaque vanished into a nearby shadow.
"That guy knows how to make an exit," came not even 5 seconds later, Pigsy's voice shocking MK into a yelp.
"How long were you standing there!?" MK asked, hand on his chest. His heart was racing, the relaxing mood from earlier shattered in an instant.
"Since around 'Uncle Mac'," Pigsy answered with a smirk. "You'd probably have more luck callin' him Mac and Cheese with all the walls that guy has up. What were you two doin' in here anyway? You... you good, son?"
"Yeah," MK answered honestly. "Yeah, like I said, I just needed some time to think. Macaque helped me out with that, pulled me out of my head when I started overthinking all... all that stuff from earlier."
"With the bird brain?" Pigsy asked with a snort and a growl. He'd been angry since they came back, since MK changed even. He'd been high-strung and on edge, snipping at everyone that he needed time alone and that time was best spent cooking. Usually Pigsy let his answer out openly, but this quiet anger? This meant he was way more upset than he wanted anyone to know. "When we get our hands on that jerk I'm gonna turn them into fried chicken. Or at least make them think I'm gonna. Then we're gonna get some answers about all... this."
"Do you… would you be less upset if I was a pig demo-"
"NO," Pigsy said instantly. Firmly. "No, MK, that's not what I'm upset about. I'm... I'm sorry if me snapping about wantin' to be alone and all made you think that. I'm not upset you're a monkey or at you. I'm upset you had to find all this out like… like this. I'm upset because my son deserved better than this."
MK didn't realize he was crying again until his dad wiped the tears running down his face away. Until he pulled MK into a hug and tucked his face into his shoulder and let him cry more.
"You deserved to know all this sooner, kid," Pigsy said. "But it doesn't change anything."
"Except that I have fur," MK muttered into Pigsy’s shoulders. "And a tail."
"Not literally, ya doofus," Pigsy said with a chuckle.
The two stood there for a moment, just hugging each other as tightly as they could. It reminded MK of when he was smaller, when he was younger, of when Pigsy would comfort him after a mean kid bullied him for not being able to ride his skateboard as well as the other kids (and now that he thought about it, his balance was way better now that he had a tail... huh).
"Food's ready," Pigsy said after they finally pulled away from each other. "We kinda made up a table outside for everyone to eat together, I just need to grab some stuff from Monkey King's kitchen first. I'll meet you outside."
"OK, dad," MK said with a smile.
~
Pigsy watched as MK rushed outside, ears perked as he listened carefully for the sound of the door to shut and rushing water to turn off.
"You too, 6 Eared Pain In My Ass," Pigsy said with his arms crossed and foot tapping. "MK wasn't lying when he said the food was for you too."
There was silence for a moment and the chef worried that, once again, the shadow monkey had decided to escape an awkward situation of having to interact with the man (who had thrown a spatula at him, to be fair). But he didn't have to wait long, noticing a shadow growing close to the window before Macaque popped himself back out to watch MK reunite with his friends outside.
"... he's a good kid," Macaque said softly. "Almost too good... almost."
"Means I did something right by him," Pigsy said softly. "I... wasn't the perfect dad, but I tried my best."
"Must have worked out somehow," Macaque mused. He was... oddly subdued compared to his normal bombastic nature. "... How... I know it's not the same but like..."
"You wanna know how to be a good guardian," Pigsy said. Not even asked, it was a statement.
"Hate to admit it, but... Kid's grown on me," Macaque said slowly. "He's one of the only people even to try to give me a chance, even if I was a jerk to him. Now I'm worried about him, and... with Wukong gone there isn't anyone to show him the ropes of being one of us."
"Then it sounds like you need to learn how to dad from a dad."
"I am NOT going to be his dad," Macaque snapped instantly. "I would rather he call me UNCLE any day."
"Then I guess Uncle Mac and Cheese better get his ass out to the table and interact with everyone else."
It was so worth seeing the offended look at the immortal's face.
An hour after everyone else went to bed Pigsy found a visitor outside the room he and Tang were sharing, asking him how to cut fruit for his new family member.

Um, could I request Ventus looking after a little Vanitas who doesn't really know much about what regression is and is trying his best to hide it (he's not doing good at hiding it, partially because Ven's making him feel safe so he's subconsciously letting his guard down)
Regressor: Vanitas
Caregiver: Ventus
TW: a lil bit of yelling and mentions of a depressive episode.
Vanitas had been feeling weird for a month now, more sensitive and shy than usual. He hated it, he was supposed to be strong and fearless, he hates everyone and everyone hates him. That's how it was and how it always will be, but, recently he has craved for hugs and affection.
The boy has never been hugged before but he sees Ventus giving his friends hugs all the time. He found himself even crying over it, he thought it was ridiculous but could never stop the tears.
He felt all alone and wanted his brother to comfort him so badly, but that would never happen.
Ventus took notice of his change in behavior and thought it was odd.
He talked to Roxas about it who brought up the idea that maybe he was an age regressor. Roxas was a regressor himself so he knew the signs, the tantrums, the crying and even the thumb sucking that Vanitas thinks Ventus didn’t notice.
Ventus knew this could mean Vanitas was coping with some sort of stress or trauma so he decided to try helping. He was a kindhearted boy after all.
-
Vanitas was crying all curled up on his bed, trying his best to be quiet while he clung to his pillow and sucked his thumb gently.
His crying was interrupted by a knock from the blonde.
He wiped his tears and opened the door annoyed until he saw who it was.
Ventus was holding a small box and smiled at Vanitas.
“Can I come in?”
-
Ventus made his way inside the messy room and sat on his bed.
“So, I've noticed you've been acting differently recently, and it's gotten worse; you've even been skipping dinner” he frowned.
“Just not hungry” he sat in front of Ventus.
“You also seem sad, have you been crying Vani?”
Vanitas's eyes widened at the nickname and he felt himself become smaller.
“I…” he couldn't get out any words, all he wanted was to cry and hug Ventus.
“Hey, it's okay, I actually brought you something” Ventus handed him the small box.
He stared at it, dazed, and opened it.
Confusion, fear, and anger filled him as he threw the box against the ground.
“Are you making fun of me?!”
“N-no! I just thought you were regressing so I bought you a pacifier”
“I'm not a baby, I don't even know what that is!”
“It's a coping mechanism, havent u felt weird lately? Younger?”
Vanitas stared at the pacifier, safely in its box.
He was scared.
He kinda wanted to use it.
Vanitas grabbed the box and stared at Ventus.
“Why do you even care”
“You are my brother, sorta, so I care about you Vani.”
“But-”
“Shh, don't worry about the past, just, try using it?”
Vanitas stared at the box in his hands.
“Will you leave me alone if I do?.”
He nods.
Vanitas sighs and opens the pacifier and puts it in his mouth.
It felt soothing, he closed his eyes and felt himself tear up over how calm he felt.
All the bad thoughts in his head were gone, all he could think of was the paci and Ventus.
He opened his teary eyes feeling fully regressed now.
“How does it feel?”
Vanitas made grabby hands, too regressed to feel embarrassed.
“You want a hug?”
Vanitas nodded.
Ventus smiled and brought the other boy into a warm hug.
The dark haired boy cried into his arms. Ventus noticed how lonely Vanitas must have felt dealing with this all by himself.
“I'm here lil buddy, you're not alone anymore okay?”
Vanitas nodded into the hug.
Ventus let go and pet the boy's head.
“Wanna grab some lunch? I can make some mac and cheese, I know it’s your favorite!” he giggled.
Vanitas blushed, was it really that obvious? Yes, yes it was, he wiggled from joy every time he ate it.
Ventus ruffled his hair once more and led him to the kitchen with a smile.
"Venti?”
“Oh? Yes buddy?”
“Can I helps?”
“You're too small kiddo, why don't you set the table?”
Vanitas has never felt so small, in a good way. It felt like he was getting back the childhood he never had.
-
“All done!”
Vanitas hadn't eaten well in a while so he was excited for a full meal.
He instantly dug in and Ventus saw as the regressed boy wiggled his lil feet in excitement.
“You are being so messy buddy” Ventus giggled and grabbed the spoon, helping his brother eat.
Vanitas was surprised at how good Venti Wenti was at taking care of him. He smiled and giggled “U make good brother!”
“Aww, you too, you lil troublemaker” the blonde giggled.
-
Laughter filled the room as Ventus chased Vanitas around his room.
“You need to brush your teeth lil dude!”
“Never!” He giggled.
“Come on, if you wash ur teeth we can cuddle to sleep”
“Weally?”
“Yes Vani” he smiled.
“Okays!”
-
Ventus cleaned Vanitas's room while the boy brushed his teeth. He was saddened by the piles of trash and clothes on the floor, Vanitas was probably going through a depression episode.
“Back!” Vanitas giggled until he noticed Ventus's sad expression. “Whas wrong?”
“Don't worry, I'm okay! How about you grab some pillows and blankets from my room?”
-
Ventus and Vanitas smiled at the sight of their blanket fort. It was filled with some of Ventus's plushies, pillows and blankets. The blonde went inside and motioned for the other to join him.
Vanitas entered and looked around, feeling cozy and warm.
“What are these?” Vanitas pointed at the plushies, “Pillow creatures?”
“They are stuffed animals! You can take one!”
Vanitas smiled, regressing once more as he reached out for a bat plushie.
“This one”
Ventus giggled “Ofcourse, all yours.”
The dark haired boy hugged his brother once more and nuzzled his head on his chest.
“Ur so cuddly huh?” Ventus smiled sadly, wondering if this was his first time being so comfortable.
“Thanks, for ewething” Vanitas cried happily.
“Aww bud, It's okay, from now on I'll take care of you got it?”
He nods, hugging him tighter.
Ventus and Vanitas cuddled for the rest of the night watching cartoons. Ventus promised that he would take care of him and he meant it, he was gonna help the boy feel happier.
Vanitas finally felt cared for and loved.
-----------
I tried writing this like 10 times 😭
It's not the best but I will definitely write about them again, or make a part 2 since it was quite short :3

Congratulations on your huge milestone!!! 🥳
I have to go with Track 5: Landslide - I love me some Fleetwood Mac and I also love me some angst.
Can I request it be for Steve Harrington? And no prompt - take the reigns 🥰
-@superblysubpar
Stay the Night
Track 5: Landslide by Fleetwood Mac - Give me a character and an angst prompt (or give me free rein) and I'll write a short blurb or headcanons about it.
thanks for the request and the congratulations, bestie! i hope you enjoy 🥰
Fuckboy! Steve x Fem! Reader
Warnings: angst, discussions of a sexual relationship but no actual sex, mentions of drinking, no happy ending, mentions of potential sexual assault + just generally creepy behavior towards the reader, language, and I think that's it! Let me know what you think my loves uwu
There are rules when you're fucking Steve Harrington.
You can't acknowledge him at school. No words or waves or even longing looks if people are around. He gets all sulky, though, if you're not paying attention to him when he joins you somewhere private—like the back tables in the library where nobody goes.
He'll pout at you with big eyes, stroke his fingers up the inside of your thigh when you're trying to study and then he'll smile like you're his favorite person in the world. Saying shit like we won't get caught, sweetheart, promise, or need you so bad, please, just this once.
That always ends the same way.
You can go to his house when his parents are gone, but he'll never go to yours. Steve will fuck you in the back of his car any night you can manage to sneak out, but he'll only wait twenty minutes at the most.
He gets quiet if you mention any of the girls you see him with. He gets loud if he thinks other guys might be looking at you.
Steve likes it when you pull on his hair when he's between your legs, when you say no the first few times he tries something, when you cry while he's fucking into you with those long, slow strokes.
He doesn't want you to leave marks on him. He doesn't want you to cover up the marks he leaves on you.
Steve won’t let you stay the night, but you can't leave right away. You gotta let him nuzzle into your neck and kiss at your skin with his soft pink pout and he doesn't want to know about it if you feel like crying.
And, most important of all, Steve does not want anybody to think you might be together.
You feel stupid, walking up the car-lined street with your book bag slung over your shoulder. The party's just up the road, loud enough you can hear the music and the sounds of laughter from where you parked a couple blocks away.
Steve's house is lit from every window when you catch a glimpse through the trees, people poured across the lawn, blissful and unaware, just happy to be young and beautiful and drunk.
It's so obvious you shouldn't be here. That you don't belong here. But Steve called, and you answered. And you're too stupid to stay away.
The inside of the house is ripe with the smell of beer, sweaty condensation rolling down the windows. There's more bodies inside, packed tight in all the spaces you're used to seeing empty. Nobody looks in your direction. They don't even feel it when you try to push past.
Steve's not in the living room, or the kitchen, or the yard. He's not half naked in the pool or doing keg stands surrounded by a chanting crowd or making out with anybody in the far corners of the room.
You push up against a wall, trying to keep anybody from noticing you, chewing at your lip. Maybe you should leave. You take a step in that direction, but the way is blocked. You're left face to chest with an ugly striped polo.
Fuck.
"Didn't think I'd see you here, sweetheart. Who sent you the invite?"
Tommy H. has a smile that always makes you sick to your stomach. The way his eyes rake over you—like he's hungry and torturing you is the only thing that can satisfy—the little raise of his brows every time he makes you go quiet.
He steps closer, caging you in with a casual arm as he tilts his head to the side, considering the easiest way to swallow you whole.
"I'm looking for Steve—"
Your back thumps against the wall, and you remember that Tommy doesn't know how many times Steve has promised to beat the shit out of his best friend for looking at you, for cat-calling down the hallways, for all those shitty remarks he's scrawled on the bathroom walls with your name attached.
Those were just words. A stage promise, a kind of roleplay Steve slipped into you any time he wanted to repay you for swallowing his cum.
"—Harrington," you finish, in a weak attempt to save yourself, "this is his house, right?"
Tommy cocks a brow, but he nods.
"I have his homework. The paper for Mrs. Click's class."
You pat your bag, even though there's no paper in there. Steve came up with the excuse the second or third time he yanked you into the girl's bathroom after the bell rang for first period. Just in case anybody saw. This is the only time you've had to use it.
Tommy rakes his tongue over his chapped bottom lip, and your nails bite into your palms. You've got to count to keep your breath steady, to keep your vision from going white at the edges with fear of what he might do next—push you against the wall or laugh at you or drag you with a hand over your mouth somewhere nobody would hear you scream.
But he just steps back, stretching out his shoulders. He must be bored of you. For now.
"Harrington's upstairs. You might wanna knock first, before opening any doors, though."
Tommy let's you slide past, leaving just enough room you've got to brush up against him. You're at the base of the stairs when he calls out, loud enough you can hear him over the music.
"Maybe I'll join you later," Tommy says, and he waits until you look back at him to jack off an imaginary dick, just to emphasize his point.
You run the rest of the way. No looking back.
It's quiet on your side of Steve's door, the sounds of the party a thousand miles away from where you stand, letting your fingers just rest on the handle. Thinking about what Tommy said.
Whatever. If Steve had a girl in there with him, then maybe you could go home. Maybe you'd finally have a reason to be so angry with him all the time.
You push your way inside, into the darkness that your eyes don't adjust to right away. Steve's bed ripples, the covers peeling back from the head of his bed. His smile gleams in the dim slats of light from the window.
"Baby," he coos loudly, holding onto that e sound at the end until he's almost shouting.
He only calls you baby when he's drunk. You shut the door behind you quick enough there's no chance the partiers downstairs could've heard it.
There's nobody else in Steve's bed. No other girls—besides you—when you join him on the mattress, brushing a few hairs from his forehead until you can actually see his eyes, big and brown and looking up at you like you're golden.
He pushes his head into your hand, cat-like, begging to be petted, sneaking an arm around your waist. And the Steve you're used to is already pushy, but it's even worse when he's wasted. You literally have no choice but to do what he wants, yanking you down until you're laying beside him, nose to nose, sharing the same pillow.
"Everybody's being so loud," Steve mumbles, wearing a deep frown, "I just wanted to sleep."
"Not in a party mood?" you ask with a laugh that comes out just a little sad.
Steve sighs, flopping onto his back and dragging you with him. "Tommy's idea. Wish they'd all go home."
Fuck, he's cute—and his body is so warm against yours, holding you like it's what his arms were made for.
You shut your eyes tight and try not to think about a time before you realized he didn't want you the way you wanted him to, when you thought you could be with him like this whenever.
But this isn't the real Steve.
He's not going to walk down the halls with his hand in your back pocket. Or look for you in the stands at his basketball games. He won't take you to the movies just to make out with you in the back row, won't smile like he's showing off when people see you together. You won't have prom pictures with Steve that you look at years from now. You won't have anything to look back on that'll make you smile.
You swallow down the pit in your stomach, wiggling in his grasp.
"I should go."
Steve just grips at you tighter. "No, baby. Stay."
"It's late, Steve. I've gotta go home."
He hums his dissent, rolls over until he's squishing you into the mattress. His big eyes are wet and shiny when they meet yours.
"Just tonight, okay? Don't— don't wanna be alone."
Fuck. You'd end up in your grave before you learned how to say no to Steve Harrington.
He knows it, too—you know he does—because without you saying a word, Steve rolls off you, and you don't try to leave.
"You're too good for me," he whispers, fingers twining in yours, "did you know that?"
There's tears wetting the pillow you rest your head on. Steve's room is getting blurry.
"Yeah, Steve. I know."
He doesn't say another word, and you don't want him to. Laying on his bed like a corpse beside him, listening to the way his breathing grows slower, calmer. The grip of Steve's fingers loosens, and when you pull your hand from his and all he gives you is a grunt, you know he's asleep.
You slip out of the door before he has the chance to wake up. You hope it'll be the last time.

♡︎𝙶𝚢𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚒 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚊 𝙲𝚑𝚞𝚋𝚋𝚢!𝚂/𝙾 ( 𝙶𝙽 )♡︎
A/N: Hey y'all, sorry for not posting in so long- honestly I just haven't felt motivated enough to write anything ( plus college sucks ass ). That's why I decided to take a hiatus and stop posting here for a bit.
Anyway, I managed to whip up this post here. Hope you guys like it.
♡︎♡︎♡︎
♡︎𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚝: Gyomei Himejima with a chubby reader! ( gender neutral )
♡︎𝚆𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐!! Fluff, Gyomei being a big softie..
♡︎♡︎♡︎
( ♡︎𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚞𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚌𝚞𝚝!♡︎ )
• Okay hear me out-
• I'm very aware that Gyomei is blind- and I know that he can't see.
• But, he can feel..
• It's pretty obvious that Gyomei doesn't have a preference, he loves you for your personality, and not your looks.
• So in a way, having Gyomei as a boyfriend is great because he will never judge your appearance, ( but will judge you based on the kind of person you are ).
• Gyomei is the kind of boyfriend that will always say nice things to you, even though he doesn't like to come off as too straight forward. He knows he can make you flustered, but he tries not to.
• Don't get me wrong though, he will compliment you and make sure you don't ever feel insecure about yourself! He really cares about you. ( he has a soft spot for you.. )
• He's really sweet and gentle with you.
• He'll always, and I mean ALWAYS ask for consent when he wants touch you. Keep in mind, he isn't trying to do anything sexual with you, he just wants to know how you feel.
• Honestly, can we all agree Gyomei is built like a fucking Mac Truck? 😭
• The size difference between you two is insane-
• He's got some really big hands, so imagine him putting them on your hips- or imagine him cupping your face in his hands-
• Imagine his grip on your thighs- 😳
• I like to think that he really likes to hug you or cuddle with you because you're so soft and warm..
• HE'S SO 🥺😭💚🤍✨
• Anyway- moving on..
• Gyomei's favorite thing to do is have you sit on his lap while he's meditating or praying. And you better not say that you're 'too heavy' because this man is pure muscle and he's like 10x your size, he can handle you.
• He really enjoys your company btw :(
• So much so, that he gets a little sad when you aren't around. Sometimes he might even cry.. MY HEART 💔
• ( He does get really happy when you quietly walk into the room and he can sense your presence.. )
• He often talks about you to the other Hashira! Obviously, everyone is happy for him because he's with someone who is so loving and caring towards him.
• Gyomei loves you so much, and he feels safe around you. And he wants you to feel the same way when you're with him. ( he feels insecure about how intimidating he looks, but deep down, you know he's a big softie.. )
• Sometimes he'll cry in front of you, but it's not necessary out of sadness, but more like he's so overwhelmed with his feelings for you. Think of it as happy tears!
• Gyomei loves to carry you! He will carry you in his arms or on his shoulders. Either way, it doesn't matter, as long as he gets to hold you close, he's happy with it.
• Another thing he likes to do is kiss you all over. He'll kiss your face, your hands, your stomach, your legs.. yeah you get the idea-
• He always make sure to not go too far. He never wants to make you feel uncomfortable.
• Gyomei is such a sweetie.. he loves his chubby cutie so much.. 😔💚
• He likes it when you kiss him though. He gets very flustered when you show any form of affection, such as kissing him or hugging him.
• Yeah his love language is physical contact, but you already knew that-
A/N: Alright, that's all for today, hope you liked reading this post- I kinda gave up at the end sorry-,,

Henry Danger Reader Insert | Captain Man x Reader: SEASON 1
Episode 7: Jasper Danger
~Henry's House, Halloween Night~
Charlotte was waiting for Henry to come downstairs. She was wearing her funky mac 'n cheese costume that she had spent weeks preparing. Looking at her watch, she wondered what was taking her friend so long. They had arranged to go trick-or-treating with Jasper and Monica, this girl that Jasper had a crush on. He had even gone as far to tell her that he was Kid Danger in an attempt to impress her, which endlessly amused his two friends.
Charlotte poured herself a drink and Henry came running down the stairs in his costume.
"Hey, hey, hey. Check me out." He gestured to his costume, but Charlotte wasn't 100% sure what he was meant to be.
"What are you?" Henry looked at her like it was obvious.
"I'm a zombie tennis player. Cool costume, right?" He told her, but Charlotte was a bit hit and miss with it.
"Ehhh, don't you think zombies are kind of played out?" She asked him, treading carefully with her words.
"Well, yeah, regular zombies. So now, it's... boom...fresh. That's why I added the whole tennis element." He justified his decision. The doorbell rang and Henry's mom called out from upstairs.
"Hey, I think we have another trick-or-treater!" She yelled.
"Yes, I heard the doorbell!" Henry yelled back, as he went to get the door. Opening it, he saw a little boy, who was also dressed as a zombie tennis player.
'Trick or treat." He smiled up at Henry, who couldn't believe someone else had thought of his costume idea.
"You stole my costume." He said the little boy.
"Just put the candy in the sack." The kid sassed him. Henry grabbed a fistful of candy and placed it into the boy's pumpkin bag, before angrily shutting the door.
"Boom...fresh." Charlotte joked, repeating what he said earlier. Henry looked at her in annoyance as Mr and Mrs Hart came down the stairs. They too were dressed up for Halloween, but their costumes were a bit weird.
"Henry, will you help me find my car keys?" He shouted to his son.
"No thanks!" Henry yelled back.
"Hey, interesting costumes," Charlotte told them, as they walked to the door.
"Thanks. I'm a garbage man." Mr Hart said, feeling proud of the couple's matching outfit.
"And I'm a bag of trash." Mrs Hart laughed.
"And I'm so proud to be your son." Henry raised a glass of juice to them, feeling embarrassed at how happy they were in their odd costumes.
"I am so angry!" Piper yelled as she came stomping downstairs. She too was wearing a strange outfit, as she looked like a historical old man.
"Whoa. Who are you supposed to be?" Henry asked her, not understanding what her costume was.
"I was supposed to be Taylor Swift." She shouted.
"Well, you don't look very much like Taylor Swift." Her mother commented, infuriating Piper.
"Yeah, 'cause your husband ordered me the wrong costume." She looked angrily at her father.
"My name is dad." He tried to scold her, but parenting never went very well with Piper.
"I'm not talking to you tonight." She said, walking past him in a huff and going over to Henry.
"That's not the costume you wanted?" Her brother asked.
"No! I told dad to order me a Taylor Swift costume." She explained.
"I made a mistake!" Mr Hart held his hands up.
"And he ordered me a Jonathan Swift costume." Piper screamed, making Henry look at Charlotte in confusion.
"Who's Jonathan Swift?" Henry asked her.
"EXACTLY!" Piper shouted in anger.
"He's a very famous 18th Century author from Ireland." Charlotte explained, making everyone look at her strangely.
"What? I'm weird 'cause I'm educated?" She said rhetorically, not knowing why her facts were always thought to be weird. Mr Hart looked at his PearPhone and gasped at the time.
"Ooh, we're late for the party. We've got to go." He said to his wife.
"I just need my purse." She replied, dashing off to grab it.
"What? You're going to a party? I thought you were talking Piper trick-or-treating." Henry looked at his parents in shock-horror.
"We were."
"Now you are." They told him.
"WHAT? WAIT!" Henry tried to run after them, but they were already out the door.
"Sorry, gotta take out the trash!"
"That's me!"
"Mom, Dad, please don't make me take Piper trick-or-treating! We had a deal! You can't just..." He yelled after them, but they were in the car and driving off. Walking back inside, he slammed the door and looked at Piper with irritation.
"You think I'm happy about it?" She asked him, looking up from her phone for a brief second.
"You just listen to me. I'm in charge tonight, so you have to show me respect." He tried to assert his big-brotherness over her, but she grabbed his tennis racket and threw it away to show that she wasn't going to respect him at all.
"Starting now." He said, going over to retrieve it.
"Hey, Halloweeners!" Jasper came in with Monica. He had his Kid Danger costume on, and even though it wasn't exactly like what Henry wore, it was quite a good costume. Monica was wearing a sweet, little cowgirl getup and she smiled as she followed Jasper.
"Have no fear.. Kid Danger is here!" He spoke to them with his hands on his hips.
"Oh.." Piper started.
"My.." Charlotte continued.
"God." Henry finished, not believing that Jasper was trying to be him.
~Swellview Park~
"Stupid Jonathan Swift, way to go, Dad." Piper grumbled to herself as the five kids walked from the last house they trick-or-treated. She was texting her friends whilst Jasper was trailing behind with Monica trying to impress her.
"So, Jasper..." She started, but the curly-haired boy interrupted her.
"Uh, uh, uh. Tonight you can call me Kid Danger." He smirked at her.
"Okay, cool. So, can I ask you something?" She smiled at him.
"Sure."
"How come your costume doesn't look quite like the real Kid Danger costume?" She asked, pointing out that Jasper had shorts on with red leggings when in reality, Kid Danger wore red trousers.
"Oh, see...By wearing this fake costume, no bad guys will ever suspect that I'm the real Kid Danger." He said on the spot, but luckily, Monica seemed to buy it.
"That makes sense, right?" He asked her.
"Yeah, that tracks." She smiled, believing what he said.
"You guys, come on! We going trick-or-treating or what?" Henry asked them, wondering what was taking so long.
"Yeah, let's do it!" Jasper said, and they rejoined the group. Henry started to tell them the plan.
"Let's start on Riverside because rich people give out great candy." Henry told them, and they agreed to target the richest people first.
"And then we can go--" Henry was cut off as his watch started to beep and flash, telling him that Ray needed him.
"Why is your watch always beeping?" Piper asked him, as Charlotte gave him a knowing look.
"It's my boss at Junk-N-Stuff. I'll go see what he wants." He told her, which technically was the truth, just not all of it.
"I'll go with you," Charlotte said to him.
"No! We're supposed to go trick-or-treating!" Piper yelled at him, making him stop.
"Hey, I'm gonna take Monica and go hit the houses on Riverside." Jasper told them.
"Cool, we'll text you and meet up later," Charlotte said, and they both said goodbye.
"We better hurry." She mumbled to Henry.
"Yeah. Piper, let's go." He instructed his little sister.
"No. I'm not going to your stupid store." She whined, making Henry look at Charlotte in annoyance.
"I promised Mom and Dad I'd watch you tonight." He explained.
"So, watch me stuff candy in my face." She lashed out.
"We'll take you trick-or-treating right after." Charlotte reasoned, but Piper didn't care.
"Not acceptable. If you guys don't take me trick-or-treating right now, then I'll tell Mom and Dad--" Henry had had enough. He raised his watch and fired a green laser at his sister and she fell to the ground unconscious.
"Why'd you do that?" Charlotte yelled at the blond boy.
"She was talking so much. Now, come on, we got to go see what Ray wants. Grab her feet." Henry directed her and the two grunted as they lifted the girl, shuffling off to Junk-N-Stuff.
~Junk-N-Stuff~
Inside the store, Gooch was feeding candy to his beloved flytrap.
"Omar. Omar, look. A jelly bean. Would you like a jelly bean?" Gooch cooed and the plant squawked and opened its mouth.
"Here you go. Oh yes, you chew so cutely." Gooch smiled with a sugary voice, fawning over the plant. Henry and Charlotte walked into the store, still carrying Piper.
"Henry and Charlotte. Happy Halloween." He greeted them.
"Hey."
"What's up?" They said hello back, but Gooch was confused as to why they were carrying a little girl.
"Who is that?" He asked.
"Oh, this is my little sister." Henry told him.
"Oh, and when did you kill her?" Gooch deadpanned, making Henry drop his smile.
"She's not dead." Charlotte said.
"I just stunned her." Henry explained.
"Oh good." Gooch was glad they didn't have a dead body on their hands.
"Will you keep an eye on her while we go talk to Ray?" Henry looked at the storekeeper.
"Sure." With his agreement, the two teens put her on the floor next to the counter, as the plant made some gagging noises.
"Something wrong with Omar?" Charlotte looked funnily at Gooch.
"Well... I just gave him a jelly bean and--" He was cut off as the flytrap barfed the candy onto Piper.
"Your plant just puked on my sister." Henry said in disgust.
"Yes, no more candy for you." Gooch tickled the plant, so Charlotte and Henry walked to the elevator before anything else weird could happen.
~Down in the Man Cave~
The teens stumbled out of the elevator and looked around the Man Cave for Ray.
"Ray?" Henry shouted, making the man jump out.
"Happy Halloween!" He said happily, wearing a very peculiar lobster/cheerleader costume. He raised his pincers in the air and made them click.
"Look! I'm a cheer-lobster!" He smiled at the kids. Thinking they'd be impressed, he started dancing around and shaking his butt, but they just watched in confusion.
"Cheer-lobster?" Charlotte questioned.
"Is that, like, a thing?" Henry added.
"Yeah, it's a thing. Look. Go, team! Please don't boil me! Or use a tiny fork to remove my flesh and eat me!" Ray tried to convince them with a little cheer.
"You look more like a lobster than a cheerleader," Henry noted.
"Well, there was no room for lobster boobs," Ray said.
"Hey, where's (y/n)?" Henry suddenly noticed the lack of the young woman's friendly presence.
"Oh, she's putting her costume on. She wouldn't tell me what it is." Ray said, and no sooner than he did, the sprocket opened and (y/n) came dashing down the steps towards them. Giving a twirl, she showed off her costume. It was a red and blue female superhero outfit and Ray couldn't take his eyes off her.
"Well, what do you think? I know it's not the best but..." She looking at them all with nervous excitement and they all smiled at her efforts.
"You look awesome!"
"Yeah, really good!" The teens complimented her, but Ray said nothing, swallowing the lump that formed in his throat as his eyes raked over her curves. The woman took his silence as him not liking it and thought that the superhero gag hadn't been funny.
"Ray? Don't you like it?" She said, looking crestfallen.
"No, no, you look beautiful." He told her truthfully. His words shocked her, and she smiled down, looking bashful.
"Why did you beep Henry?" Charlotte cut through the tension, tapping the boy's watch.
"So you guys could come and see our cool costumes," Ray replied like it was no big deal.
"I told him not to." (y/n) held her hands up in defence.
"Aw, Ray. I had to zap my little sister to come here." Henry rebuked his boss.
"You killed her?" Ray asked.
"No, I just stunned her. Wait, I think it was set to stun." Henry checked his watch.
"Stun is blue and kill is red, right?" Henry looked up at the adults.
"I don't know, I can never remember," Ray said with a wave of his pincer, making (y/n) give him a look.
"Yes, Henry, that is what they mean. At least I pay attention." She said, not looking away from the lobster.
"Can we please go trick-or-treating?" Charlotte asked in exasperation, but before anyone could reply, the Cave alarm sounded.
"Uh, oh. Trouble." Ray waddled after (y/n) as she got to the computer and helped him press the buttons.
"What's up, Gooch?" He said.
"You just received a video." Gooch told them all.
"From who?" (y/n) asked.
"From a man who claims to have captured Kid Danger." He replied, making them all knit their eyebrows together in confusion.
"Play the video." Ray said with a suspicious voice.
"Hey, Captain Man! It's your old friend--" The video began to play and Ray and (y/n) immediately knew who it was.
"Pause!" Ray yelled, and (y/n) hit the button with a groan.
"Jeff, that guy is so stupid!" Ray clenched his pincers in aggravation.
"How do you know him?" Henry asked having not encountered Jeff before.
"He's been a petty thief in Swellview for years. Ray's put him in jail, like, a dozen times, but he never learns." (y/n) filled him in.
"Resume play." The video and Jeff continued talking in a moronic voice.
"So, guess what? I kidnapped your sidekick." He said.
"Aw, please don't be Jasper, please don't be Jasper." Henry wished.
"It's gonna be Jasper," Charlotte predicted.
"Take a look!" Jeff turned the camera to where he'd captured a kid, and it was definitely Jasper. He was tied up with rope and had duct tape across his mouth.
"What a surprise twist." They said sarcastically.
"Hey, isn't that your friend with the sweaty hands who loves buckets?" Ray asked, clicking his pincer at the screen. (y/n) nodded at his words.
"Yeah, it's the bucket boy." She noted.
"How can that Jeff guy think Jasper's the real Kid Danger?" Charlotte asked.
"Oh well, see... it's because he's a moron." Ray told them.
"Yeah, huge moron." (y/n) agreed.
"Oh and I also kidnapped Kid Danger's woman." He showed them Monica, and she was gagged and bound too. Ray rubbed his face with his claw as Jeff started to make demands.
"Now, if you ever want to see them again, better bring me like... a million dollars. Oh, and I want two big-n-beefys from Inside Out Burger. With fries. And don't forget the million dollars." Jeff ended the video. His requests were really dumb and (y/n) and Ray rolled their eyes with a sigh.
"What? Is that guy insane?" Henry asked.
"Yeah! Nobody can eat two big-n-beefys." Charlotte joined in.
"Not with fries."
"Whatever. Come on, Henry. Let's go rescue your friend." Ray sighed, taking his gum tube out and popping a gumball.
"I--I can't go with you." Henry told Ray.
"Why can't you?" Charlotte looked at him in confusion.
"Because Jasper really likes that girl." Henry didn't want to ruin Jasper's chances with Monica, even if he had been lying to her.
"So?" Ray asked him.
"He made her think that he's Kid Danger. So now, if I show up there with you, she's gonna know he was lying." Henry explained.
"Shouldn't he find a girl who likes him for who he really is?" (y/n) asked, speaking from experience. Yeah, Captain Man was hot, but Ray's adorable personality captured her heart first.
"That's never gonna happen." Charlotte said, and Henry agreed with her. Jasper's odd personality was a repellant for girls.
"All right, I'll go rescue your friend." He said, looking annoyed.
"All right, but when you're there you gotta act like he's the real Kid Danger."
"I know how to act." Ray snapped, chewing his gumball, but before he could blow, (y/n) butted in.
"Can I go with you?" She asked, looking at Ray with hopeful eyes. Normally, she would never fight bad guys, but this was Jeff and she wanted to go out in her costume at least once.
"What? It's way too dangerous." Ray insisted.
"Come on, it's just Jeff. And I'll stay back from any serious fighting." She pleaded, stepping closer to him.
"Captain Man doesn't do guided tours around criminal hideouts." He tried to be firm with her, but she looked up at him with big, round eyes and pursed lips.
"Pretty please?" She batted her eyelashes at him, making him groan.
"Ugh, fine. But you do as I say and you stay behind me." Ray said sternly, but she just squealed and threw her arms around his neck.
"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you." She bounced up and down before letting go and running to the back of the Man Cave to find a spare mask. Ray blew his bubble and snapped into his super suit.
"You really gonna let her fight bad guys?" Charlotte looked at him, not believing that he would let (y/n) get in harm's way.
"I can keep her safe..." Was all he got to reply, as the young woman in question came bounding over, a mask on her face. They walked over to the tubes together, and Ray slapped his belt.
"Good luck!" Henry called at them.
"We don't need luck. It's Jeff." (y/n) said groaning out his name.
"Up the tube." Ray said in a bored voice, but on the inside, his stomach was fluttering at the thought of (y/n) fighting in her tight costume.
~Jeff's apartment~
Jeff had Jasper and Monica tied up in two chairs, and he was trying to feed them some nachos. The chip crumbled against Jasper's lips as he turned his head away. Monica had whispered to him to free himself and kick some ass Kid Danger style, but he was in way over his head. Suddenly, the door opened, revealing Captain Man and an unknown female superhero. They both groaned and shut the door again, confusing Jeff.
"Captain Man!" Monica cried out in joy.
"Uh-oh," Jasper said, worried that Captain Man would expose him. Ray kicked down the door, allowing him and (y/n) to step inside dramatically.
"Dude, the door wasn't even locked." Jeff whined.
"I know, Jeff. But I don't like you, so I smashed your door." He said in his Captain Man voice.
"Who's the pretty chick?" Jeff looked up and down (y/n)'s body making her tense in disgust. Seeing Jeff's gaze on her, Ray stepped in front of her and puffed out his chest at Jeff, as if to say 'back off, she's mine.'
"She's my temporary sidekick, Miss Danger." Ray growled at him, (y/n) loving how he acted when in his superhero persona.
"Hey, I don't see any hamburgers. Where are my big-n-beefys?" Jeff questioned with the chip bag still in his hand.
"The only thing you're going to get that's big and beefy will be your cellmate in jail." (y/n) quipped, moving to Ray's side and placing her hands on her hips.
"Okay, when do I get my million dollars?" The moron asked, not understanding that Captain Man and Miss Danger weren't going to give him a cent.
"Okay, you're too stupid to talk to. Sit." Ray instructed him and Jeff did as he was told. The pair walked over to the kids and began to untie them.
"Hey, Kid Danger. We were worried about you." Ray said, loosening Jasper's ropes as (y/n) worked on Monica's.
"Uh... thanks, boss. I was worried about you and uh, Miss Danger too." Jasper followed, relieved that the superhero was keeping up his lie.
"Well, we knew you didn't need us to take down a petty criminal like Jeff." (y/n) played along, throwing Monica's ropes to the side.
"Oh yeah, I was just about to bust out of those ropes and rain down some pain on that dude." Jasper said excitedly, trying to impress his crush.
"Okay, Kid Danger...Go do it." Ray said, spinning Jasper around and pushing him towards Jeff.
"Huh?" The curly-haired boy really didn't want to fight the man, even if he was an easy opponent.
"Go show that criminal who's boss." (y/n) smirked at Ray, who returned the look.
"Yeah, Kid Danger, go bust him up. I love it when boys fight." Monica cheered, ready to see the 'sidekick' in action.
"Don't we all?" (y/n) nodded, not seeing how Ray smiled at her words.
"Okay...This is what you get for breaking into people's cars and kidnapping us on Halloween." Jasper threatened Jeff, who wasn't very scared of the puny kid. He punched him on his chest, but it wasn't very hard, so Jeff just looked down in confusion. Not wanting Jasper to look uncool, Ray fired his laser at the criminal, sending him to the floor. Jasper looked in awe at his fist, amazed that he 'brought down' the large man.
"That was for you, Monica." He smiled at the girl, who blushed in her chair.
"Way to go, K-D." She smiled back.
"Yeah, great job, Kid Danger. Can I talk to you for a second? Miss Danger, keep an eye on the girl." Ray said as he pulled Jasper into a corner.
"Listen, Captain Man." Jasper started uneasily.
"Yes?" Ray looked at him.
"I'm not really Kid Danger." Jasper whispered, annoying Ray.
"I know that. Now, don't you think you should tell someone else?" Captain Man told him, wanting him to come clean.
"Miss Danger?" Jasper tried.
"NO! She's not stupid, of course, she already knows!" Ray hissed back.
"But if I tell her the truth, she won't like me anymore." Jasper revealed his insecurities.
"How old are you son?" Ray put an empathetic hand on his arm.
"13," Jasper replied.
"Then you're way too young to be lying to girls." Ray advised him, even though it wasn't the best advice he could give.
"Listen, kid, one day, you're gonna find a girl, and she'll have your heart completely, even if she never knows it. You shouldn't be worrying about it yet though." Ray genuinely said from his heart, trying to make the kid braver in love than he was.
"Okay, I'll tell her." Jasper agreed.
"Good boy." Jasper walked to Monica, who was stood up next to (y/n). The young woman walked back to Ray, wanting to give them some space.
"All right, we're gonna take this idiot back to jail." Ray said, kicking Jeff with his boot.
"Get up, stupid." (y/n) said down to the man. He sat up and began eating his chips again.
"You are riding my last nerve. Get up." Ray grabbed the bag from his hands and began whacking Jeff with it. He and (y/n) yanked his coat and dragged him up, taking him outside to the Man Van.
"I don't wanna go to jail." He slurred, still feeling the effects of the laser.
"Shut up, Jeff." They said simultaneously, making them giggle. Ray started up the Man Van, and (y/n) clipped in her seat belt, Jeff securely in handcuffs in the back of the van. They had only been driving for a few minutes when Jeff spoke again.
"Hey, pretty lady, can I get your number?" He piped up, aggravating Ray again.
"JEFF!" It was going to a long ride to the jailhouse.

Hihi!!
Can you write a soft cg!Ted nivison x little!reader where he makes the reader Mac and cheese and apple juice and he lets the reader use one of his rainforest cafè cups? And if not can you just write soft cg!Ted nivison x sleepy little!reader plz?
Cutest Cup Ever
Ted Nivion x reader (gender neutral) Requested by: Anon Proofread: N/A Genre: Fluff Music: POV: You're Falling in Love With The Bad Boy Warnings: None! Cutie pies! Summary: You find out about age regression and that you regress. Good thing Teddy has something he think you might like :) Author's Note: I missed writing tooth-rotting fluff <3
-Mod Kenma
You had missed Ted terribly when he went away for a while. It was boring. You missed cuddling with him and watching him edit videos. It was one of those things where you just sucked it up and tried to live like you normally did. You did see him and Eddy off before their trip, so that was fun. Going to the rainforest cafe was fun! It was classic nostalgia that you had so deeply missed.
When you watched him leave, you tried to be as productive as possible. It felt lonely without Ted there. You wanted to be with him so badly, existing with him was enough to make you unbelievably happy. You cleaned the apartment up and down, went out with friends, and even taught yourself some hobbies.
While it was enough to keep you occupied for a little while, it didn't hold your attention as well as certain things did. You found yourself sitting on the living room floor, criss-cross, watching Bluey. You watched the colorful dogs live their lives, enjoying every moment, and learning different things. You found yourself captivated by the things the little Bluey and Bingo learned.
It was a slow build-up at first. You hardly noticed it. Some tasks became a little harder to complete. Your brain felt a little fuzzy. It was just so much easier to sit down on the couch or floor and do something childish. Coloring felt better when it was out of the lines, food was tastier when it was cut into smaller bite-sized portions.
Over time, you learned what was going on. It's called 'age regression'. It was a new thing to get used to but..it wasn't a bad thing. it helped you cope with being alone. It made you feel more at peace than the anxious thoughts that plagued your mind. You allowed yourself to be more childish, playing with small toys you bought and coloring. It felt like you were giving your mind a break.
Soon it dawned on you, would you be able to still do this type of stuff with Ted around? Would he still accept you and love you? You shook your head. Ted was one of the most understanding people you knew. He understood you in ways you could hardly describe. It was never difficult for you to be honest with him. So as soon as you could, you would tell Ted.
His arrival back home was much sooner than you thought but you were still so happy to see him again. While you spent 2 days of his mission with him, the rest was spent at home. You missed Ted like crazy and it was pretty obvious to him but it wasn't like he minded. Ted held you for what felt like hours as he complained and praised The Rainforest Cafe.
You listened intently, loving his little stories. His words meant the world to you. After his long story, Ted asked if you had any stories to tell from when he was gone. You hesitated for a moment. This was the perfect time to tell him. Through hushed embarrassed whispers, you explained age regression to Ted, cheeks pink.
Ted nodded, taking it all in. His silence worried you, making you rethink everything you told him. All Ted did was smile and press a soft kiss on your forehead. "Thank you for being so open with me." He said softly, running his fingers through your hair. You closed your eyes for a moment to savor Ted's soft touches, thankful that he was so understanding. It made your heart so unbelievably happy.
"And, I think something that will make you feel better is a cute cup I got from the Rainforest Cafe. I think it'll be something you'll enjoy." Ted gently let you go and went through his bags before he found what he was looking for. You waited patiently as he dug through everything. Ted returned to you not too long after with his slushie cup he got with the frog mascot head at the top.
You laughed at how goofy it was, it was beyond ridiculous and you adored it. You took it from Ted's hands and inspected it. "It's so....weird." You say with a giggle. Ted took it from you and washed it before filling it up with apple juice. He handed it back to you with a soft smile. Ted always had your back, no matter what.

eddie with “Do I look like I’ve moved on?”
i could've made this super angsty, but i feel like i've put out quite a few angsty blurbs lately so i'll save your hearts for now
warnings: being exhausted, minor moment of mike's idiocy that really makes eddie mad, not proofread
❀ masterlist ❀
"i just can't believe it," eddie grumbled once more as the two of you laid in his bed. it was friday night, so after a long day at school, you had to cheer at the basketball game and eddie had an impromptu meeting of hellfire. dustin wanted to give it a go at an attempt of being a dungeon master for once so he wrote up a oneshot and got most of the guys together to meet after school except for lucas who would be at the game.
while you were in the gym cheering on the tigers who ended up winning the game, it seemed all the luck in the school was with the basketball players and none was left for eddie. each roll of the dice gave him a number too small so he wasn't able to deal as much damage as he was taking.
and then, mike decided to not help heal eddie and instead talk to a girl who was from the town they were saving to see if she had any insider information. dustin had placed her there as a distraction, one that eddie claimed was so obvious, and mike fell right into the trap. the girl, lavender, just sobbed and shook and when mike got closer to comfort her, she kissed him with poison-laced lips. mike didn't feel the effects until a minute later and within five minutes, he was out. eddie grumbled about that the most.
after mike's turn went gareth who got a low roll and then, the monster dealt his damage. with eddie's already low amount hit points, they were diminished immediately and he was gone. all of that is what you've heard eddie complain about since you saw him sulking when waiting for you after the game.
he couldn't seem to drop it and you loved him, you really did, but you were exhausted. friday was test day for most of your classes, so you got to put in all your knowledge from your late-night studying from the night prior. but taking tests took a lot out of you. in addition to that, you had to go home and get ready for the game and then actually go to the game and act like you weren't tired as could be. once the tigers won, you wanted to either go to your house or to eddie's, whichever was quicker to getting you in bed and letting you sleep.
when you saw eddie was done with hellfire, you smiled, happy that he was done so you could go home with him. falling asleep with him was just better overall. but, then you saw the look on his face. when he normally came to you after hellfire, he was happy and excited, but then you remembered he said that dustin was dm'ing tonight and figured it didn't go well.
when you two got in his van, he told it all and kept coming back to being aggravated with mike. you heard it in the car, you heard as you walked up the steps into the trailer, you heard it as he made mac and cheese for you and him, you heard it as you brushed your teeth and changed into his clothes, you heard even now as you laid by his side. he was clearly upset about this, but there wasn't anything he could do about it now.
"eddie," you whined in a mumble, tiredness clear in your voice as you snuggled closer to him, "i thought you had moved on from that."
"do i look like i've moved on?" he questioned, pitch getting higher at the end of his statement.
"no," you answered. you moved away a little to sit up and look at him. "listen, i get that you're upset about this, but there is absolutely nothing that we can do to fix it. i love you and if you let me sleep right now, we can do whatever you want tomorrow to make it better. hell, i'll play d and d with you, but i am exhausted and i really want to go to sleep."
then, eddie felt bad. he had been so wrapped up in stupid mike and his stupid mistake of trying to talk to that stupid girl that he didn't even realize you were on the brink of passing out. eddie nodded his head and reopened his arms for you to settle into which you did instantly after muttering a small 'thank you'.
"i really am sorry about the mike stuff though," you whispered into his neck and breathed in his scent. you sighed in contentment before continuing, "that really does suck."
"it's okay. i'm sorry for talking about it all night," eddie muttered against your forehead before he pressed his lips there.
"you were upset," you spoke softly, nearing sleep with every second that passes, "i want you to talk to me when you're upset, but maybe when i'm a little more coherent, yeah?"
"yeah." eddie's lips found your skin again, this time a little lower on your nose. "i love you, you know that, right?"
"mhmm," you hummed as you got lost in his comfort and warmth, "love you too."
he chuckled lightly at you and let you sleep, your cuteness and presence making him forget all about what happened earlier.
