do you have any tips at improving at art especially as a fellow 15 year old?

hiya! i have a few, but also itd help if youd follow up with something a little more specific. these are my main tenants though:

theyre not kidding when they say you should draw from life and photos. think hard about form and the lines and shapes you actually see with your eyes, not what you know.

look at skeletons, blueprints, muscle diagrams, sewing patterns, furniture instructions, anything. understanding what’s going on to physically make up the things you draw works wonders with new things/anything you don’t yet have down pat

play with perspective and dynamic poses. photo drawing refs are a good start, but oftentimes end up being very stiff. use your own mind’s eye and trial and error to make your art more interesting and dynamic

color theory. study it. implement it. art is a space for you to play in, and learning color theory gives guidelines for how to get the most fun out of it. never underestimate the power of learning how to draw a warm colored thing in cold lighting

let your art be YOUR ART. take inspiration from and study the methods of artists that inspire you, but also remember that you’re different people. your art will be different, it will look like you made it, and that’s fine— especially if you’re at the start of your art journey

seriously, practice. practice practice practice. practice the things you’re good at practice the things you suck at, it will all come more naturally the longer you go on. and make practicing fun! draw characters or things you like, and find how to improve at art through that window.

if you think something looks way above your skill level, you’re probably right. but you should absolutely take a shot at it. throw yourself in and learn your lessons from it. find out exactly how and why you’re not able to do something yet

A beachside retirement has honestly been living rent free in my mind for them and while I'd been picturing super lazy atmospheres in a lil bungalow just off the coast with a couple of jet skis (green/gold for obvious reasons but maybe a red/blue one too as a nod to Don's mad flirt game 😭💖) around the back, the idea of them having a boat is SO good because it's clear Mobius wanted to experience as much on the timelines as possible with Loki and this way they could have a home base with endless possibilities ahead just like the time doors offered before 🥺

Honestly terrible at coming up with names in general and especially any that aren't super basic but I'll just go ahead and say I always loved that in series they made sure to throw a "spark" label on the jet ski Don was riding in his shop for absolutely no other reason than to hammer home even more residual connections to Loki (like the color schemes and sunglasses hanging around his neck looking similar to Loki's horns weren't enough already 👀) so to me it would be cute if their boat were called the Spark!

(Also the perfect callback to "thanks for the spark" which Mobius shouts over the sound of the waves with a cheesy grin or wink while they're docking and on their way to try, idk, Margaritaville or somewhere else that Loki wouldn't have been caught at in a million years before and they try to act exasperated because it's at least the millionth time Mobius has made that joke but it's impossible not to smile every time when this really is their life 🥰)

I thought we'd know more about the show and the airing date today but the only info they always offer is that it's in November. in this case, i can't speak for every nomnoms out there, but im still fairly confident in saying that at some point we've all shared this same feeling of disappointment and frustration at the lack of info. hell, i think most fandoms felt like this at some point (i remember the absolute radio silence over anything 23.5 related), and this is just due to one of the biggest issues GMMTV has: poor management. it's what happens when you get to the end of the year with 6 series still waiting to be aired and no clear schedule or plan preemptively made on how to deal with that. tbh i don't even think p'aof, the cast and the last twilight admin themselves actually know when the trailer is gonna be released, which is why they can only reassure us that it's gonna happen soon and that the show is indeed gonna be airing in november

but on a more positive note, despite not having a set date yet, we KNOW we're at the final stretch!!!!!! the show is either gonna take the place of only friends or dangerous romance which means the trailer HAS TO drop some time in the next two weeks!!!!! just a little more time, just a bit more patience, and we'll finally get it!!!!!!

The other anon talked about how they associated Owen to Jed is so valid. I first saw him in Shanghai Noon (Roy my beloved) and its sequels and then the next movie was The Royal Tenenbaums (Eli my beloved) and by the time I knew how to separate the roles from the artist, he was in NATM 😂which means dooming myself to think "oh so he's just a cowboy irl" for the longest time. It took me becoming a pretentious film student and diving headfirst into Wes Anderson filmography to deprogram myself lmao. And now that I'm a through and through Owen appreciator, he really is just spotted in the wilds wearing cowboy hats and handkerchiefs around neck! 😂😂
