Annabeth: I, a child, had to earn Thalia’s love, that’s how the world works! I have to earn my moms love. Love is transactional, you gotta be worthy of it first silly :)

Even apart they’re still facing the same struggles 😔 Not that they’re thinking about each other or anything. Why would you suggest that.

the way that one line from the new epilogue in an astarion romance is going to HAUNT me

just. what a profoundly intense thing to confess to someone.
like, just these six months of newfound happiness with you exerts a force on his heart equal and in direct opposition to two centuries of endless torment, the gnawing hunger and exploitation. this flashbulb-bright fraction of his long life holds the same gravity to him as years upon years of darkness and suffering.
in all likelihood, he hasn’t even known his lover for as long as his worst memory lasted, that year sealed away to go mad from starvation and sensory deprivation, yet he still tells them this brief time has been so fundamentally and powerfully important that the weight of even that unimaginable hell is vanishingly small compared to this present he has now and the future ahead of them both.
how am i supposed to act normal about this.

Touya, in the hospital with his family.
Rei: “Do you want to tell us about your time with the league?”
Fuyumi: “Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
Natsuo: “It was a part of his journey. Maybe he has something to say about it.”
Touya: “There really isn’t much to say. Shigaraki got me to where I needed to be, Spinner and Toga annoyed me most of the time, Mr. Compress was tolerable, and Twice…”
Touya, thinking about Twice, then thinking about all his memories with the league.
Touya: “… I wasn’t there to make friends.”
Shouto, staring at Touya silently remembering when he also “wasn’t there to make friends”.

Funniest bit of the dnd movie is Xenk clearly being an NPC the DM introduced for lore and plot purposes who’s a competent fighter because of course he is, his reputation and backstory require it. But whoopsies the DM made him too powerful, the whole party likes him, and now they want him to come with to fight the BBEG which will completely and utterly fuck up the encounter balance
So instead of there being any actual plot reason he can’t join Xenk just says “I can’t. This is something only you can do.” And then walks off, never to interact with the party again because the DM just knows those little shits will find a way to use their OP creation against them

knight who growls and shoves you against a wall in an empty corridor because you’ve been drawing their attention all day and it simply isn’t safe for them to be so distracted, prince/ss, so now it’s your responsibility to get them off since you insisted on keeping them from doing their job properly by filling their head with such impure thoughts in the first place.

actually can we stop talking about “deserve” when it comes to characters dying in fiction. not everything is a fable with a moral lesson to be learned. romeo and juliet didn’t “deserve” to die. bambi’s mom didn’t “deserve” to die. izzy dying in the finale doesn’t mean ofmd is saying that certain types of queer people “deserve” to die. fictional death can serve more narrative purposes than just punishment for the character doing the dying.
